I looked out the glass door as our father and his mother left the house.
I knew that he wasn't coming back this time.
After all, I watched the movies and read the comics.
I looked at Peter, who was my half brother, though to us we were brothers no matter who our mothers were.
His eyes watered but he did not cry.
Aunt may put her hands on both our shoulders as an act of comfort, but I only felt annoyance.
I didn't want comfort.
I wanted my father, it didn't matter if I wasn't from this world originally.
I didn't have a father in my last life, and now the only one I had was walking to his death.
I ran to my room, which was one that me and Peter shared.
"Vince! Vince! Come back….!"
Aunt May tried to call for me but I shut myself in my room.
Tears flooded down my caramel colored skin.
After a while I heard a light knock on the door, it didn't sound soft and gentle like Aunt May, it sounded rough and to the point.
I didn't answer and stared out the window ignoring everything.
I heard the door open and by the sound of the footsteps I could tell it was Uncle Ben.
"Hey there little man….how are you holding up?"
I looked at him with eyes no child should have….. hopeless.
Uncle Ben Just grabbed me into a hug.
"It's gonna be alright, I know how you feel."
Ironically he didn't, but that wasn't the point, he was giving comfort and love, I cried in his arms.
"You know son, there are many times when we feel hopeless, and we feel like no matter what things won't change," He looked directly into my eyes as his eyes shone with wisdom.
"That's why you must find the strength inside you to be that catalyst," Uncle Ben placed his hand on my head.
"Inside of all of us we have the power to do a great many things, and with great power, comes great responsibility."
The words hit me like a truck.
I always thought those words were for super powered individuals, I never knew they were also for the hopeless and meek.
I looked at Uncle Ben, "Then I'll become the strongest and most responsible!"
My resolve to save this world and everyone became even more appealing.
He gave out a hearty laugh and ruffled my hair, much to my dismay.
Though unknowingly Aunt May and Peter were behind the door.
Aunt May leaned down and whispered to Peter.
"You see? Your big brother is okay, sometimes we just need to talk to someone, or let someone talk to us, no matter what, always be there for each other."
Peter smiled.
"Yes Aunt May."
Though Peter began to feel frustrated, Aunt May could see it in his face.
"What's wrong?"
Peter didn't want to be selfish or mean but he was sad and upset too and he wanted to be comforted as well….like his older brother.
"It's nothing…." _
Peter could be seen putting up a little picture over the name 'Panthers Debate Club'. Suddenly a ball came careening towards his head. Before it could slam against his head a hand snatched it out of the air.
Peter jumped at the sudden noise. "What the…." He looked to see his brother Vince holding the ball looking at the group responsible, it was flash and his group of goons. "Flash…" Peter grumbled under his breath angrily but before he could do anything Vince threw the ball. "Hey! Return to sender you shit faced bastards!" Flash couldn't even respond to the speed of the ball. It hit his chest knocking the wind straight out his throat.
Flash coughed and choked on his own spit and tried to stand up but fell on his ass.
Peter looked at Vince with an unimpressed face.
"What..? I never liked him anyways….this just gave me an excuse."
Peter couldn't help but laugh, though before they could continue their brotherly moment flash and his gones started to chase after them.
"Oh shit guess this means we gotta go!" Vince Yelled.
The dynamics of both Vince and Peter were not so different but different, both of them together literally spelled oxymoron.
Peter was a genius and Vince was a thinker. Vince was physically abnormal and freakishly strong, and Peter was pretty weak but was a lot faster than Vince. Proof was the fact Peter was captain of the Track team.
They were literally polar opposites but complemented each other in everything.
Peter and Vince continued to run until a teacher stopped them.
"HEY! No running in the halls, Parkers!"
Both Peter and Vince stopped and gave an apologetic look, but pointed behind them to flash and his squad.
The teacher furiously stomped towards them and began lecturing them about harassment and bullying, giving all of them lunch and after school detention.
Both Peter and Vince walked away trying to contain their laughter, as soon as they hit the corner they both fell on their asses unable to control themselves.
"Aw man! That was too good! How did you know Mr. Franks was gonna be there?"
Peter smirked, "They don't call me genius for nothing Vince."
Tetsu scoffed, "Yet that genius won't help you stand up for yourself….I don't wanna ruin your ego man but I know you're tired of me saving your ass all the time."
Peter sighed and solemnly nodded.
"I've come to terms with that a long time ago, big brother."
Peter came to terms with his ego and pride a long time ago after a fight they had when they were kids, it was after their fathers death.
Peter's resentment and jealousy of wanting and coveting the strength and comfort Vince always seemed to get, got to him and he lashed out at Vince out of pain, anger, and jealousy.
Aunt May and Uncle Ben were about to chastise him at that moment but Vince stopped them.
Vince told him they were like that because his mother died infront of him, and he remembered every detail, they comforted him because no child should of had to see that, they encouraged him to be strong not for himself but for Peter, Vince hugged Peter and at first he tried to resist but Vince didn't let go until his little brother hugged him back and cried with him.
Now all Peter does is make sure to do the same thing for Vince, after that they become inseparable, always pushing each other to do their absolute best.
"Hey Pete, we should probably go to our classes so we aren't late, see you at lunch?"
Peter nodded and both him and Vince walked to their classes. _ The bell rang and Peter walked to his locked to grab some books and headed out to the courtyard.
"Hey look Flash is messing with Gordan again, let's go check it out!"
Peter sighed angrily.
'This bastard is pissing me off.'
Peter walked to where the commotion was and saw a crowd of people chanting 'Eat it' as Flash shoved the face of the freshman Gordan into a plate of rotten food.
Flash saw Peter and smiled, "Hey Parker! Get a picture of this! Come on!"
Peter with a scowl on his face just looked at flash with disappointment.
"I'm not taking a picture of this, flash, put him down."
He looked at Gordon, "Don't eat it."
"Take the picture, Parker!" This time Flash got more aggressive and started to shove the face of the poor kid into the plate even harder.
"Put him down Eugene!"
The crowd stopped chanting and started laughing and some even were disappointed as Flash threw the poor kid on the floor.
Peter tried to help the kid up but got punched in the face.
"Your brother ain't here to save you, get up Parker!"
Flash immediately began to assault Peter and even kicked him while he was down.
"Get up!"
Flash let Peter get up.
Peter immediately spit blood in Flash's face and Kicked him in the dick, and did so repeatedly even making sure to get some kicks to the head.
Peter wiped his mouth, "Still not taking the picture dipshit."
Flash recovered and was about to return the beating but Gwen Stacy the well known daughter of the police chief stepped in.
"Flash! Flash! I hope instead of being a bully you are doing your homework, the last time we studied I was very disappointed that you didn't know what the class was learning about for the entire month."
Some of the crowd began snickering at Flash much to his insecurity.
"Tch! This isn't over Parker I'm gonna beat your ass as soon as I have the chance…"
He looked around at the other kids.
"What are you all staring at…!"
The crowd quickly dispersed and everyone walked away.
Gwen looked at Peter who was groaning in pain.
"You okay? You're not seriously hurt are you?"
Peter waved off her concerns as he sat on a nearby bench.
"No, I'm okay…though I'm not sure flash will be after my brother finds out what Flash did…."
Both Gwen and Peter cringed at the thought.
"Yeah….Flash is a troubled kid….make sure to tell Vince to go easy on him, we wouldn't want him to get in trouble."
Peter laughed.
"Yeah I tell him that all the time, won't stop him from being The Anti-Bully Machine."
Gwen and Peter both chuckled at the infamous name the school kids gave him.
"I'll see you around Mr. Bully Magnet." Gwen winked and walked away.
Peter stood up and grabbed his bag and camera off the floor.
'At least the camera isn't broken…'
He shivered at what Vince would do to Flash if it broke. _
Vince sighed as some random kid told him about the lunch situation. 'These fuckin' little pricks ruined the cool lunch I planned with Pete….God I hate highschool….'
Vince sat in class grumbling.
He grabbed his notebook out of his bag and began writing random notes.
This is what he did most of the time in class, he wasn't as dumb as everyone thought and expected of him, he was actually quite intelligent, he wasn't a genius in academic endeavors but he could hold his own and was pretty smart having an average IQ of 130. (He considers that average compared to the monumental geniuses in this world.)
He's mostly a genius in planning, problem solving, thinking, and almost any Philosophical concept.
Peter always joked that Vince had an answer for everything as well as an excuse for everything.
But what he was writing in class was something no one would even comprehend, he was trying to write his plans for gaining the spider powers, the goblin serum, and any other piece of tech that could possibly help him take down any future threat.
And he was preparing for his entrance to the MCU during the year 2024 around the time and events of No Way Home.
'Timelines and Multiversal elements really mess things up…'
He continued scribbling in his notebook possible experiments he could work on once he achieves the materials needed.
The bell rang signaling everyone it was time to go home. _ "Hey Aunt May! Uncle Ben! We are home!"
They walked in the house Pete took off his shoes as he watched Vince walk into the kitchen.
'Oh boy here we go again…' He smirked internally as watched the scene unfold.
Vince might be a thinker but sometimes he does not think.
Oh the irony.
"Vince B. Parker! How many times do I have to tell you to take off your shoes at the door and not come into the kitchen with them!!"
Aunt May repeatedly knocked him upside the head with a wooden ladle as he tried to retreat to the show rack.
"Sorry! Sorry I forgot!"
Aunt May huffed and watched him put up his shoes.
"Thank you, now go wash your hands and help me set up dinner, we are eating spaghetti."
Vince tried to protest but Aunt May dragged him by the ear.
"Okay! Okay! I'll help!"
Peter snickered at his older brother's punishment.
Vince rolled his eyes but then a genius idea came into his head as Peter walked away.
"Hey Aunt May, I heard Peter started a fight today…"
Peter stopped dead in his tracks.
'That little shit…!'
He tried running away but Aunt May was too quick.
"Aunt May let me explain! That's not how it went…! Uncle Ben help…!"
Vince let out a large laugh as he watched Aunt May chase him up the stairs but a quick look from Aunt May shut him up and he continued washing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen.
"Peter, Vince after you guys are both done doing what you need to do, go help your Uncle down stairs, there was a small flood I think you two can fix it." _ (Chapter End)
