Blanc was… not very pleased with what's going happening right now. Ever since Mina left, there was no one else that could take care of the two twins: Rom and Ram, while she was doing her work, with the only one being Financier whenever the Lowee CPU was gone for the day.
Now it wasn't to say she hates the two children, in fact, she adores them, but sometimes, they can be… troublesome, to say the least. And sure, she can be very nice to the two kids, but whenever she does, she gets this weird feeling, almost as if their relationship goes beyond sisters. Strange, sure, but she never came to any conclusion, not like that's anything to worry about anyway, atleast, to her that is, but who knows really.
Right now, she's about as miserable as they come, it was pretty clear that she's not having a good day at all.
Now, usually, she would write one of her many stories in order to release from the utter stress that was the "Twin Shenanigans". But now? Nope, not at all. There was nothing she thought that would be considered "publish" worthy, such a shame too, for she was really looking forward for what to write for today.
All she could do was groan, afterall, it's not like she has anything that would calm her down. And the cherry on top: Financier called in sick, so she is unavailable for the day, which now meant that SHE has to watch over the twins on top of doing CPU work. Doesn't she just feel like the luckiest girl to ever exist?
So, now what? Well, another thing Blanc likes to do in her spare time was reading some books. It was no secret that Blanc was a bookworm, afterall, her main reason for becoming a writer was to one day have one of her works be considered as fondly as some of the books she enjoys.
Welp, atleast that's something she can enjoy. She ended up going to the library to read a book she recently bought, titled: "The Book of Mary Rose" a story featuring a single mother who takes care of two mischievious twins.
"Now, why does that all sound familiar?" Was what Blanc thought of when reading the synopsis, but she supposed it was all just a coincidence, afterall, anyone could share a story like that. So she started reading the book. But before that, she made sure the two "brats" didn't do any drawing on that book, as that was something they would do, usually to get a reaction out of her, and to her relief, the book was as good as new, so reading time it is.
3 hours later
Blanc was speechless, the book she recently finished reading was so good, why didn't she think of this sooner? The book was well structured, and it was exactly what it presented itself as: A sweet slice of life story, with a bit of comedy aswell.
But that's not the main thing. The main thing was that the mother, despite clearly being tired of the twins' antics, still is a very loving mother to the two rascals, kinda like with her and Rom and Ram.
Wait, Rom and Ram… that's it! Now she knows what those feeling represents: Blanc is practically the twins' caretaker. But why? Ever since they were born, she's been their older sister from the start, so why, does she feel such a special bond with them? Well, the likely theory for her would be the that the more she spends time with them, the more she's like their guardian. This is amplified by the fact that Mina left, leaving the twins to have no one to watch over them while Blanc was off to do Goddess work.
"Hmm, I think I know what to do" said Blanc as she got up, and decided to look for the twins. Once she got to the area where the two girls usually stay, she, in the usual tone of her voice, called out for them to come to her: "Rom, Ram, could you two come closer? I want to talk to you?
As the twins heard their big sister, they did just that, walked up close to her to listen to what she has to say.
"So Blanc, what do you wanna say?" said the more energetic girl, who goes by the name of Ram, followed by a soft "Yeah, what is it?" by the more shy girl, who goes by the name of Rom.
Despite being the one who called for them, Blanc was still not sure what to say. Darn it, her main weakness: trying to talk to the twins in a more calm demeanor. The silence would eventually be broken by Rom's "Are we in trouble?" to which Blanc simply responded by saying: "No, you're not, however, this situation does involve me and you".
Welp, that sure got the twins to listen. What was it that Blanc wanted to say that was so important that she decided to talk to them about? This, and the many questions similar to it would soon be answered by what Blanc has to say in the following matter:
"Umm, how do I say this? Oh right, I suppose you both know how different the Basilicom has been ever since Mina's absence, afterall, the whole she's been there, she was practically your caretaker, especially during the Events of the Deity of Sin." after she said this, the twins decided to speak up:
"Uh huh" said Rom. "Yeah, we do, but why are you reminding us about that?" said Ram, whose face was that of confusion.
"Well, you see, ever since then, I was unsure of what to do. Although I have called for Financier to take care you girls while I was on Goddess duty, that quickly became a problem whenever she would announce from time to time, that she's sick, and can't look after you, so, I would be the one to look after you while she was sick, but what you didn't know, was that there was something in my head, and after reading a book that reminded me of my relationship with both of you, it now came to my mind. So Rom, Ram, are you two open for the idea of me being your new caretaker?
The twins have no idea on what to say. Blanc, being their new caretaker? This was certainly news to them, but upon thinking, all they could do was walk closely to Blanc, and proceed to hug their big sister. It seems like the twins accepted the idea, which made Blanc smile, for she knew this wasn't a very easy decision to make.
"Well I'm glad you two are okay with what I have to say. Now, please follow me, for I want to read a story with you." was what Blanc said, as she released the rather warm hug that lasted for a solid two minutes.
Upon hearing this, the twins quickly accepted the idea, and decided to follow Blanc, for they are excited to hear some stories.
After a solid two hours or so, Blanc finished reading the story, and as she closed the book, she noticed that Rom and Ram were noticeably very sleepy, so she took them to their bedroom.
Blanc was… starting to be pleased with what has happened. Afterall, it was certainly not an easy choice to make, especially since it required a lot of responsibilities, but honestly, she couldn't care less, for she was happy with her decision.
