Chapter 1: the veil of darkness

Koishi was wandering around happily, free of thought and consciousness, but she eventually saw something strange, a... tear of some sort?

She walked toward it, I seemed to lead to a strange room of some sort, she proceeded to walk into it and got into the room, but there was something big in the ceiling, an alien structure of some sort

"the veil" a voice whispered, she looked around to find what said that but found nothing, but she spotted something strange in the middle of the room, a green strand of some sort?

"come closer, show me your third eye" the voice said, so she got closer and showed her third eye to the strand, but suddenly it was grabbed ahold of and thiner strands started to show up at its eyelids and suddenly, it was forced open

Koishi felt all sort of emotion and thought, she became scared, frightened and confused, she collapsed on the floor as she held her now open third eye, shocked at the fact she was so naive to believe that voice she heard, she would now be forced to read minds again, including her own, in which she didn't want to, but then she then saw something humanoid shaped coming and quickly got back on her feet and ran through the tear

She then tripped and fell as she got out, then looked back and saw that the tear was gone, she tried to close her third eye but couldn't, then she felt something, was she crying? She felt tears cascading down her cheeks, she fell on her knees and started to cry

"why... why am I such a naive fool...?" She said to herself

"Koishi?" A familiar voice said, it was her sister satori seeing her cry

Satori approached Koishi but noticed something strange, she could read her mind now, How was this possible?

Then she noticed it, her third eye was open, why was it?

"Koishi! What happened?" Satori asked, concerned for her sister who's mind was now back and readable

"I saw something, a-a tear" Koishi said with difficulty speaking

"a tear?"

"it lead m-me to a strange r-room, there I saw something green and a voice asked me to show me the third eye and t-that's when it was forced o-open"

"So something forced it open? Can you close it?"

"n-no, I can't, it's stuck like this"

"come, let's go home" Satori said picking up and holding her older and scared sister in her arms

"I wonder if Yukari would open a tear like that, she's the only person I know who can do such things, either way I need to help my sister right now" Satori wondered to herself, only for Koishi to read her mind, then she suddenly grabbed her knife in an attempt to destroy her third eye

"Wait! Koishi what are you doing!" She said, but nothing happened when it came in contact with her eye, it just went right through it

"Koishi don't do something reckless like that again!"

"S-sorry, I am just so shocked that my eye was forced open and I wanted to close it again, but I guess it's stuck like this now" she said with tears in her eyes, but suddenly she fell asleep and Satori then proceeded to walk home

Satori and Koishi where now home and Koishi was in bed, sleeping while Satori was thinking on how this happened in the first place, she mostly thought it was Yukari but it seemed a bit out of character for her to target

She was also feeling something... was it happiness? The happiness that she got her sister back? That her heart wasn't closed anymore, but what about her own happiness, would she have to endure hatred of others now, would she lose control?

On another note she could still have her subconsciousness manipulation, making her very powerful if so and could attract the attention of the red Miko known as Reimu Hakurei

She would not allow her to harm her sister, she may have been bested by her before, but this time she would be ready to defend her home

Then her friend/servant/pet came in, it was Orin

"Mistress, what has happened- wait... is that Koishi with the third eye opened?"

"yes, it is"

"How?"

"she came in contact with an unknown force that forced it open"

"what kind of force, something we have meet before?"

"no, it's something different... something new, she found it through a tear of some sort"

"I have heard rumors of more of these 'tears' showing up, could Yukari be doing something?"

"I don't know, maybe it's her, but it's seem so out of nowhere to target my sister"

"Maybe, but we should focus on helping Koishi now"

"i agree, Yukari can wait"

Satori then looked at her sleeping sister, she was just happy to have her back again

Meanwhile in another universe

Osiris was thinking about what just happened, that a strange girl entered the veil containment chamber through a strange rift of some sort, and that she came in contact with strand, the guardian tried to approach the girl but failed as she fled into the rift as it closed

It troubled him, but it wasn't her strange and sudden appearance that troubled him, it was the fact that he couldn't see that she had any connection to the weave until she came in contact with strand

He was now going to debrief the guardian as they where about to enter another of the rifts

"guardian, your mission is to uncover the secret behind these rifts that have been showing up across the system, it seems to be a gateway to another world, not identical to ours"

Scrapper-3 and his ghost entered the rift that was located in neomuna and ended up near some kind of shrine

"this place... it feels like another world, i mean we have seen strange places like savathun's throne world but this... this feels completely different" ghost said, pondering

"Hey you! Who do you think you are!" Reimu said pointing at the guardian

"we mean no harm!"

"what is that thing beside you?!" She said pointing at the ghost

"I am a ghost-" he was cut off by reimu

"a ghost???" She said confused by what she was witnessing

Reimu then stepped back when the guardian suddenly pointed its quicksilver gold at her, only for reimu to retaliate with a swarm of Danmaku towards the guardian

"what even... guardian run!" Ghost said prompting scrapper-3 to run, only to be stopped in his tracks by something horrific, a Tormentor with taken under it's control that came through the rift while they weren't looking

"oh no..."
