Author's Notes and Disclaimer: Hey there dudes and dudettes in the fanfiction world! I'm back with the start of another story. For those of you who know this particular episode, there's not a lot of TMNT-focused action as there was in the previous two episodes, so I've had to be a bit extemporaneous. Hopefully this comes out all right.
Here's the disclaimer: I don't own Godzooky; Hanna-Barbera does, or should I say Warner Bros. and Toho do. I don't own the series TMNT 1987 either; the series belongs to Murakami-Wolf-Swenson, Inc. and Viacom, and is based off the TMNT comic book series created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. I also don't own the 1964 movie "My Fair Lady"; that's Warner Bros. property.
Recap: After jumping into a sewer in 1987 Toontown to avoid being run over by a truck, Godzooky is transported to 1987 New York, where he meets April O'Neil, his new sensei Splinter, and his new brothers: Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. After helping to clear the Turtles' names with April when she accuses them of committing a rash of robberies at a number of scientific equipment companies, Zooky, the terrapin quartet, April, and later Splinter, all start searching for the Technodrome. Zooky and the Turtles manage to find it after hearing of an animal robbery in the Central Park Zoo, but the circumstance soon turns into a rescue mission when they find out that Splinter has been captured. The quintet meet the Shredder and his hench-mutants Bebop and Rocksteady for the first time, and manage to rescue Splinter. However, the victory is a rather short-lived one as Godzooky comes clean with the reason why h has been acting strangely in the sewers and in the cavern: Years ago, while he was living with the crew of the Calico, they joined a military unit to investigate some strange and deadly sinkholes that were appearing in San Francisco. During an exploration of one of the tunnels, the kaiju responsible attacked them, and the young, winged saurian witnessed many of the soldiers meet grisly ends.
After telling this tale, as well as revealing more about himself, Godzooky is comforted by his new family and takes a rest while April and the Turtles take care of Master Splinter. But this adventure isn't over; not by a long shot.

Chapter 1
Zooky's nose twitched, his olfactory senses picking up the smell of melted cheese and salt. He also felt a mattress beneath him and would have thought he was in a bed if it weren't for the fact it felt like he was on the floor. He also began to notice that he had curled up in his sleep out of habit. He finally opened his eyes to see a glass of water and a plate in front of him, which had…would you believe it?
A cheese and cracker pizza slice? Aw, Michelangelo, Godzooky smiled, shaking his head.
He then noticed a note that came with the food that had Michelangelo's scent on it. The words were written like it was written by a kid who didn't learn to write on lines, so they were a bit big, but Zooky could read it just fine; after all, he had been at that level of writing once.
Z-man (it said),
I know you said just to give you crackers, but, like, I figured you'd have a slightly mondo case of the munchies when you woke up, so I thought I'd add something a little extra. Hope you like it. -M.
So it was a little more than what he wanted, but you know what? That suited Zooky just fine; it meant that Michelangelo was trying his best in regards to the circumstances. Besides, he was feeling a bit peckish.
The juvenile kaiju had just finished his small meal when he heard Raphael say from outside the room: "I'd like to douse him with that mutagen and turn him into a mutant hamster."
O-kay, sounds like I'm definitely missing something important, Godzooky thought to himself, a little confused by the statement which seemed a bit out of context.
He got up and walked to the doorway of Splinter's room, where he found the four Turtles-Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo-all gathered around outside another doorway, if what they had down here could be called doorways; more like portholes, really.
"He'll pay all right; by turning Splinter back into a human being," Donatello said.
Now that previous mutter by Raphael made a lot more sense; the guys were talking about Shredder.
I'd like to believe they'll be able to, but I'm afraid that's going to be one of those 'easier said than done' type of things, Zooky thought dolefully.
"Stay with him, April," Leonardo instructed. "Once Zooky's back on his feet, we'll start searching for the Technodrome again."
"Luckily, we can start right now," Zooky spoke up, making the Turtles jump and Leonardo whirl around.
"Hey, look who's up, dudes!" Michelangelo exclaimed before being shushed.
"Take it easy, Michelangelo! Master Splinter's still asleep!" Donatello scolded the surfer-dude turtle in a lower tone of voice.
Michelangelo, noticing his error, put his hands over his mouth.
"Yeah, you wanna wake up the whole neighborhood?" Raphael asked.
"I wasn't aware you guys had any neighbors down here," Godzooky remarked.
"Oh, very funny," Raphael tried to deadpan, but he ended up snickering along with the other Turtles at that.
"Glad to see you're looking better," Leonardo said. "How are you feeling?"
"Well, I'm definitely feeling rested, and a bit better thanks to the refreshments Mikey left," Zooky said. "Thanks," he said to the orange-masked turtle.
"Glad you liked it, bro," Michelangelo smiled.
"Think you're up for some Technodrome hunting?" Leonardo asked in a tone that said he wanted to be sure.
"Hey, yeah!" Godzooky nodded emphatically. "No-one in the city's gonna be safe as long as that nefarious ninja and his malevolent mutant miscreants are still out there!"
"And he says I have a way with words?" Raphael commented to the 4th wall.
"Well, as long as you're going to be joining us, there's one thing you're gonna need," Donatello said, turning to go. "I'll be right back; I left it in my lab."
A minute later, the brainiac turtle returned with a brown, sash-like belt with a buckle that had a capital letter "Z" on it. Attached to it was a clip that held a grappling hook.
"I know you usually fight bare-handed, but this is just so that you can carry any equipment you think you might need," Donatello said.
"Yeah, or for us in case our boy genius forgets something important," Raphael remarked.
"I doubt he would, but thanks, Donnie," Zooky said, addressing Raphael, then the purple-masked turtle.
When he put it on, the juvenile kaiju noticed that the buckle had two slots where the sash would go through. He slipped in the loose end of the sash in the empty slot, then tightened it so that it was snug on his waist without being constricting.
"Now all he needs is a mask, some elbow and knee pads, not to mention a shell, and he'll be a fifth turtle!" Michelangelo grinned.
"I dunno; you guys seem to have taken the best colors and green is absolutely out of the question here since we're already wearing that color," Zooky said. "I think the belt will do for now. Now how about we start looking for that Technodrome?"
"That's what I've been saying!" Raphael said.
"Then let's not waste any more time," Leonardo said. "Let's go, Turtles!" he declared.
Godzooky knew he wasn't a turtle, but he understood that it meant he really was part of the family now, regardless of his species. Anyway, he followed his brothers as they ran out of the Lair and into the sewers.
Oroku Saki, wherever you are, here we come!
(Some odd hours later…)
"Man, we are lost-ola," Michelangelo muttered.
For once, Godzooky couldn't disagree with that assessment; he hadn't been able to pick up a trace of the Technodrome scent-wise or feeling-wise for the whole time they had been searching.
"This stinks!" Raphael complained. "We haven't seen a trace of the Technodrome all day!"
"We've got to keep searching while we still have the upper hand," Donatello said.
"You call this 'the upper hand'?" Raphael questioned, not quite believing Donatello, and frankly, Zooky didn't quite see this situation as them having the upper hand, either.
"We've got the Shredder on the run, Raphael," Donatello said.
I've got a feeling having him on the run is exactly our problem, Zooky thought.
"And he's the key to returning Master Splinter to his human form," Leonardo added to Donatello's statement as he started crawling between some lengths of pipe.
But if and when you do catch him and make the demand, what makes you so sure he'll do it without a fight? And if it comes to that, what'll you do then?
"You wanna let us in on it?" Raphael's voice cut in.
"Huh? What?" Zooky asked distractedly, his train of thought broken.
"Hey, come on, I could practically hear the cogwheels turning. Plus, you've got a look on your face that says 'I'm not too sure about this'," Raphael said as Zooky started following Michelangelo between the pipe lengths.
"Not too sure about what?" Michelangelo queried, turning his head to look back and stopping.
"It's nothing. I guess I'm thinking too far ahead," Godzooky said. "Uh, Mikey?"
"Huh? Oh, right," Michelangelo realized, finally moving forward again.
"Well, c'mon, somethin's gotta be buggin' ya. I know this whole search is startin' to bug me," Raphael said.
"I guess it's a little bit of that," Zooky admitted as he came out of the pipe crawlway.
"A bit of what?" Leonardo queried.
"Right now, I'm the only shot you guys have of finding the Technodrome, and I'm not getting anything at all," Zooky said. "I guess I'm getting a bit impatient and it's throwing me off."
"Hey, I know the feeling," Raphael said.
"I don't mean to pry, but I've got a feeling it's a bit more than that," Donatello said.
Godzooky let out a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry, Donnie, but with that massive fortress on tank treads, the Shredder could be anywhere under the city, and we're probably miles behind him. And unless he does something big that my sixth sense can pick up, I'm about as useful as a dead battery in a remote control."
"Hey, now cut that out; you're not useless! You're doin' a fine job under the circumstances!" Raphael said.
"For sure, dude!" Michelangelo agreed. "You're pretty smart when it comes to trackin' and lookin' for stuff; I mean, we wouldn't have been able to find those disguises without you."
"You might be new to the city, but it seems you have a lot of experience with circumstances like these for someone your age," Donatello added. "Which is why I'm saying that if there's anything that's troubling you that reminds you of something; anything that could be useful at all, we're all ears."
"Um, you wanna check a mirror before making that statement? We're turtles, not elephants," Raphael remarked.
Zooky giggled at that before becoming serious again. "Well…I guess there is one thing that's bothering me," he admitted. "If and when you guys catch Shredder and make the demand to turn Master Splinter back into his human form of Hamato Yoshi, I doubt he'll comply. And if he doesn't…well…what'll happen then? I mean, what will you guys do?"
All was quiet in that tunnel as the Turtles appeared to be considering the scenario and the question that came with it. Godzooky had a feeling that he probably was overthinking things, but he was worried; worried that if the Turtles succeeded and Shredder refused to reverse Splinter's mutation, the terrapin quartet might step over a line somewhere, and Zooky would lose them completely. He didn't want that to happen; not to Leo, not to Donnie, not to Mikey, and especially not to Raph. There were his anchors, but more than that, they were his brothers. But on another end, he was afraid that if the Turtles didn't end up doing that, he himself might and end up violating everything he'd come to stand for. Either way, he'd end up losing everything.
"We…don't know, Zooky," Leonardo said gently and honestly. "But that's all in the future," he added, putting a comforting hand on the juvenile kaiju's left shoulder.
"Exactamundo, Z-dude; so, like, don't worry so much," Michelangelo said with a smile.
"Yeah. Besides, we've already got enough to worry about just finding the Technodrome first," Donatello pointed out.
"You're right, guys," Zooky nodded. "I guess I am worrying a bit too much. I just don't want anything to happen to you guys."
Now there was a hand on his right shoulder, and, to no-one's surprise, it was Raphael this time.
"Hey, same here, kiddo," the sai-wielding turtle said. "But you heard what Master Splinter said; this could take a while."
"Yeah. It's a marathon, not a sprint," Zooky said, applying something he had learned about acting to the situation. "You just gotta take it one step at a time."
"By George, I think he's got it!" Raphael chuckled.
"I didn't know you watched 'My Fair Lady'," Zooky said, raising a curious eyebrow.
"Huh?" asked a puzzled Raphael.
"What's that?" Michelangelo queried.
"It's…Oh, never mind; I'll tell you later," Godzooky said, feeling a bit better now that the mood was lightened somewhat.
Leonardo was right, that event was far in the future; but still, it was probably best that Zooky had brought it up. At least that meant it would constantly be somewhere in the back of the Turtles' minds, as well as his. Zooky had learned a long time ago when he watched the episode of Spider-Man's origins from the original 1969 series that Peter Parker/Spider-Man learned the hard way that "with great power comes great responsibility", a lesson his uncle had learned the hard way, too; and it was a lesson that not only endeared Zooky to the fictional superhero despite his moniker, but it was one that he vowed to stand by forever. Hopefully this conversation would make it stick in the Turtles' minds, too.
More hours of wandering later, the quintet came to a dead-end tunnel with a ladder that led up to a wooden trap-door.
"Let's check up there," Donatello suggested.
"Donatello, the Technodrome isn't up, it's down!" Michelangelo argued.
"At this point, anything is worth a try," Leonardo said as Raphael started climbing the ladder.
"I hope this leads someplace interesting," Raphael grunted as he climbed.
Maybe it does, Zooky thought, starting to pick up something with his sixth sense.
"You got something?" Leonardo queried the young, winged saurian.
"I don't know. It's not going off the charts, but it's increasing steadily," Godzooky said, looking up at Raphael on the ladder.
It was then that he realized that he was sensing Raphael was heading towards something dangerous, so he started climbing up after him. The door was then opened and the scent of exhaust, gravel, wood, and metal hit his nose.
"Nope, I thought not," Raphael commented.
Zooky managed to squeeze himself next to Raphael and took a peek at their surroundings, which looked disturbingly familiar. There was gravel on the ground, wood panels ahead and behind them, and metal rails on either side of them. And, on top of that, the rails was starting to vibrate.
They needed to get down. Now.
"Uh, R-Raphael?" Zooky asked nervously as the sound of clattering wheels now met his ears. "I-I've got a word for ya."
"What?" the red-masked turtle asked.
At that moment, a subway train came into view, its horn blaring loudly.
"DU-U-U-U-UCK!" Godzooky panicked, his cry almost drowning out the whistle as he pushed Raphael down, also going down himself just in time.
However, the panicked push combined with the vibration from the train going overhead made the two fall onto the other Turtles, making them all land in a heap with Zooky on top.
"Whoa!" "Ow!" "Oof!" "Hey, watch it!" "Yow!" they all exclaimed.
"Ouch! Man, kid, forgive me, but you're heavy!" Raphael said to Zooky.
"Hey, I'll have you know that this is muscle. I'm not as heavy as I used to be; trust me," Zooky countered. "Besides, you guys aren't exactly a feather mattress."
"Well excuse me!" Raphael huffed at the comeback. "You'll have to forgive me if my shell doesn't agree with you!" he groaned.
"Oof, mine too," Donatello said.
"Whoops! Sorry!" Zooky yelped, realizing that he may have broken Donnie's bō and that he was in a position to accidentally cut himself with Leo's katanas. "Hang on, guys; I'll be off in a jiffy!"
Quickly, he rolled to get off the Turtles…going over Raphael in the process.
"Ow! Hey, watch it!" the quick-witted turtle complained.
"Sorry!" Zooky apologized.
"This is not my idea of a good time," Raphael grumbled.
"I know. Sorry," the juvenile kaiju apologized again. "But would you rather I stood up and got off, making the pressure on your shells worse?"
"He's got a point there," Donatello agreed as he stood up.
"Is your bō OK, Donnie?" Zooky asked.
"Oh sure, ask about the staff, not the turtle's back," Raphael grumbled.
The purple-masked turtle carefully withdrew his weapon from behind his back to inspect it. As he did though, there was a slight snap.
"Oh no!" Godzooky groaned, feeling mortified.
"Hey, hey, don't worry about it; this isn't the first time this happened," Donnie assured the panicked kaiju as he tucked the broken piece of bō behind his shell. "I can make do."
"Aw, man, I'm really sorry, guys," Zooky sighed. "For the false alarm and for crashing on you."
"Hey, it might not have been the Technodrome, but you did save Raphael from becoming a stain on the subway rails," Leonardo pointed out.
There was an embarrassed cough from the mentioned turtle, making Zooky turn around to face him. From the furtive look on Raphael's face, Zooky guessed that he was regretting shouting at the juvenile kaiju earlier.
"Uhhhhh…I, um…Sorry I lost my head there," Raphael apologized.
"Hey, I'd be pretty upset too if I had a kaiju land on my back," Zooky shrugged. "Besides, I was just doing what a brother would do: Make sure the other brother doesn't lose his head."
It was about half a minute before it clicked. "Oh, I see what you did there!" Raphael grinned. "Which reminds me; thanks."
"My pleasure, big bro," Zooky said.
"Well, we'd better look somewhere else," Leonardo said.
"Yeah, only this time, let's do ourselves a favor and look down for a change," Raphael suggested.
"Exactly what I tried to tell you guys!" Michelangelo said.
"Hey, we got it; don't rub it in!" Zooky and Raphael scolded the dude turtle as the quintet went back the way they came.
"I don't get it," Michelangelo spoke up once more after many more hours of walking through the sewers.
This time, the quintet was walking on a large pipe above the ground; Zooky was between Leonardo and Raphael, who was currently in the lead.
"We've toured this whole burg, and no Technodrome!" the orange-masked turtle continued.
"I hate to say it, but maybe we oughta pack it in, fellas," Zooky suggested. "I'm still not picking up anything major."
The juvenile kaiju didn't want to think about what it was that could be throwing him off, mostly because it really would mess up his concentration and ruin the healing efforts of his rest.
"Are you picking up anything at all?" Donatello asked from behind Leonardo.
"Just some small 'be careful' signals; probably because I'm up so high," Zooky said.
"I thought it only worked when you were in some major danger," Raphael said.
"It works two ways, Raph; it goes off whenever I'm in danger or close to it, and whenever someone I'm close to is in danger," Zooky clarified. "Speaking of which!" he suddenly yelped, feeling a stronger signal from a very close source.
There was the sound of metal creaking apart and Raphael screaming, "WHO-O-O-OA!"
"RAPHAEL!" Leonardo and Zooky exclaimed simultaneously.
Being the closest, the winged saurian dashed over, then carefully had to balance himself to prevent himself from falling. He leaned over to see where his red-masked friend was and found him holding on to two pipes; one was a straight length and the other looked like a T-junction.
"Somebody toss me a rope!" Raphael called up.
At that moment, the T-junction pipe creaked a bit under the weight and burst open, spraying Raphael with water. Zooky giggled as he prepped his grappling hook; it reminded him of the often-bad luck moments Daffy usually had.
Raphael even responded to the situation as the black-feathered mallard would: "They aren't paying me enough to take this kind of abuse," he complained.
"Grab hold; I'll have you up in a minute," Godzooky said once he had lowered the rope enough so that Raphael wouldn't puncture his feet on the metal hook.
"You sure?" Raphael asked worriedly.
"We've all got the rope! Just grab it!" Leonardo called.
Zooky watched as the sai-wielding turtle hesitantly grabbed the rope with one three-fingered flipper. After giving the worried terrapin a reassuring smile, he braced himself for the coming weight. When it did, there was a slight tug along with a panicked cry, but the juvenile kaiju held the rope firmly. Deciding not to waste time, he quickly started pulling up the rope.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa-oh! Easy!" Zooky heard Raphael yelp with each pull.
"Forget the rope; somebody better hold his shoulders!" Michelangelo exclaimed from behind.
"Don't worry, Mikey!" Zooky called back, grunting from the effort. "I've…just…about…There you are!" he exclaimed happily when he saw Raphael now at arm's length. "Whatcha hangin' around for?" he snickered.
"Oh, cut the wisecracks and pull me up," Raphael grumbled.
Zooky pulled the rope up a bit more, then carefully bent down using his knees and extended his right hand.
"Take it. Come on," the juvenile kaiju instructed.
Raphael complied, and Zooky felt the strain from holding the Turtle's weight; but he stayed firm.
"All right, now hold on good and tight; I'm gonna pull you up real fast, OK?" Zooky warned.
Raphael was in the middle of asking, "When you say 'real fast', how fast do you mean?" when Zooky straightened up like a released spring, knees first, then his back, and finally his arm, which left the currently-stunned red-masked turtle in the air for a few seconds until the juvenile kaiju backed up a few steps and placed the Ninja Turtle carefully back down on the pipe.
"Oh…that fast," Raphael muttered dazedly as Zooky carefully pried his hands off.
"You gonna be OK?" Zooky asked, trying to keep his composure at the sight of Raph's stunned-silly expression, which looked rather comical.
"I'll let you know as soon as my insides catch up with me," Raphael panted, trying to get his wits back.
"Man, you've got a real strong arm," Michelangelo commented.
"Thanks," Zooky said, stretching the limb out after the exertion he put it through.
"I don't believe it," Raphael said after a pause.
"Don't believe what?" Zooky parroted.
"That's the second time in a row you've saved my shell! What is it with me today?!"
"Hey, there's nothing wrong with you. And who's keeping score?"
"I was just-(sigh)-Oh, never mind," Raphael grinned, now putting a hand on top of Zooky's head, which surprised him a bit. "Why is it so hard to stay angry with you?" the sarcastic turtle chuckled.
"I dunno," Zooky shrugged innocently.
Raphael just chuckled and rubbed Zooky's head like an older human brother would playfully ruffle his younger brother's hair.
"So, like, where do we go now?" Michelangelo asked after a moment.
"Back the way we came," Leonardo answered. "We don't want any more accidents."
"So, you were saying that your sixth sense not only picks up dangers to yourself, but to others as well?" Donatello queried as the quintet carefully started back. "That sounds like a form of telepathy."
"You're a telepath?" Raphael asked, sounding stunned.
Zooky laughed and knew he had to straighten this out quick. "No, no, no, I'm not," he giggled. "Not like Mothra Leo or the Elias; now they're telepaths. And they have to be so that they're aware of any dangers to Earth. As for my sixth sense…I don't know; it's kinda hard to explain."
"Who're the Elias?" Michelangelo asked.
"Oh, they're twin fairies who've helped look out for the Mothra line for millions of years," Zooky explained. "Their names are Moll and Lora, but they're collectively known as 'The Elias' or 'The Fairies'. I've met them a few times; they're really nice."
"Can I meet them?" the dude turtle asked, a hopeful tone in his voice.
"I don't think so; they're back in my world," Zooky said. "Besides, they live on Infant Island in the Pacific Ocean, and that's a long way from here."
"Bummer," Michelangelo groaned, his hopes shot.
"Well, can you try to explain how your sixth sense does work? I'd really like to know," Donatello asked, the scientific curiosity evident.
"It won't be a clear explanation," Zooky warned, "but I'll give it a shot. When I meet someone, it's…it's like…I guess it's like…an imprint. Yeah, an impression of that being is imprinted in my mind; sometimes completely formed or it comes gradually. Like, say I encountered someone who gives off a feeling of evil. My sixth sense catches on to that and then lets me know whenever that person is nearby, giving me the choice to fight or avoid. Of course, with my post-traumatic stress in certain situations, it's not…always reliable," he admitted. "But then say I meet someone whom my sixth sense picks up as a friend, it's a similar situation. However, if I've bonded closely with that person, then it's like I become attuned to them; picking up their emotions and even sensing if they're in a dangerous situation."
"Does it go both ways if the person you're close with is not a kaiju?" Raphael asked, genuinely curious.
"I don't know. I don't think so," Godzooky shrugged unsurely. "I mean, I've been apart from one of my human friends, Pete, for a long time now, and I haven't sensed anything from him. Of course, that probably means nothing major has happened to him or I just haven't been thinking about him often. Honestly, the only occasion that could possibly happen is if the being is a telepath particularly attuned to a kaiju, but that hasn't happened for-"
The juvenile kaiju was cut off by his sixth sense giving off a VERY strong signal. It was so strong that he grabbed someone's arm on impulse to hold himself steady.
"Ow! Hey, what's the big deal?!" Raphael exclaimed.
"Quiet!" Zooky ordered.
"What is it?" Leonardo asked eagerly.
Godzooky let out a sharp "shhh" before closing his eyes and concentrating on the sudden signal like his uncle Godzilla had taught him to. First, he picked it out like a piece of string laying on the ground, then he followed it back to its source.
"There's trouble…" Zooky trailed. "There's a door…a room…the wall! Something's coming through the wall! There's the feeling of adrenaline, surprise. Wait…this is an attack from the enemy. Surrounded, he's surrounded!" The juvenile kaiju gasped as the whole picture suddenly became clear, and he opened his eyes fast. "It's Master Splinter! There's intruders in the Lair and they have him surrounded!" he shouted in fear.
"Oh no!" Donatello gasped.
"Holy guacamole!" Michelangelo yelped.
"Leonardo, is there a shortcut to the Lair from here?" Zooky quickly asked the blue-masked turtle.
"I think there's one a couple feet back from where we got on the pipes! Come on!" the leader turtle shouted.
With that, and after Zooky let go of Raphael's arm, the quintet raced back to the Lair to help their sensei.
And let's hope they're not too late! Well, if you're familiar with the original cartoon, you know what happens. Like I said before, I hope this chapter came out all right; the first couple of minutes of this episode aren't heavily oriented around the Turtles, so I've had to go off-book. However, I do hope the hard question presented early in the chapter and the stuff about Zooky's sixth sense are interesting enough to make up for whatever flaws are present. Of course it's still a bit early on in the game, but you can't tell me you guys hadn't thought of that when you heard the Turtles talk about making Shredder turn Splinter back into a human. But, as I've heard Rob Paulsen and a number of guests on his podcast "Talkin' Toons" say about acting, which can be applied to life as well: "It's a marathon, not a sprint", and in this case, it's going to be an extremely long marathon.
Now, for the stuff that's been left out: In an abandoned mansion, Shredder sends out little robotic helicopter drones to find a new source of technological equipment, which leads him to a scientist named Baxter Stockman, who is trying to sell his invention; a small, rat-catching machine with a big bite called a "Mouser". Shredder employs Stockman to create a master control for the Mousers, as he will be creating a large number of them; however, the villain's eagerness to defeat his enemies has him only sending out 12 of them. Meanwhile, Krang is still demanding Shredder to build him a body, but when he is refused due to Shredder sticking to his own vendetta, the alien brain hopes that Shredder continues to fail. And then, of course, back in the Turtle Lair, April leaves to go back to her apartment, leaving a now-awake Splinter alone…until some uninvited guests show up!
Ooh, I guess a bit of clearing-up is in order: When Raph says "By George, I think he's got it!" Zooky makes a connection to the 1964 Warner Bros. film "My Fair Lady", which is indeed where that exclamation comes from; more specifically, it's a line from the song "The Rain in Spain" that is said when Audrey Hepburn's character, Eliza Doolittle, finally starts breaking her Cockney accent, much to the delight of Professor Henry Higgins and Colonel Pickering, both played by Sir Rex Harrison and Wilfrid Hyde-White, respectively. And before you ask, yes, I've seen the movie, but only once.
Anyway, next time, the adventure continues. Until then, please read and review. Thank you.
