Jen Scotts stood in front of the five new Time Force rangers. With her team being promoted and stepping away from active ranger duties, the new team now had to handle the criminals while keeping the timeline safe. Jen inspected the five morphed rangers who stood at attention while giving a little more attention to the pink ranger. Due to her performance in the Ransik incident, she was given the official leader status and thus the pink ranger was this team's leader. She had personally chosen Carly to be her successor.

At Jen's order, the five rangers removed their helmets and held them at their waists. Their faces remained expressionless as they all looked straight ahead and not at Jen.

"Okay," Jen said. "A murderer gets free and is on the loose. What do you do?"

"Lock down headquarters and the time portal," Carly said. "We can't let them gain access to our weapons or go back to the past and change it."

"And if the lockdown fails?" Jen asked. "A lockdown is only as good as its weakest part."

"If the lockdown fails then we switch to containment," Carly replied. "If they were trying to get into headquarters then we don't have to worry about them escaping."

"And if that fails and they make it to the time portal?" She saw their faces falter as they scrambled to come up with an answer."

"It can't fail," Tenzing, Time Force Yellow, said.

"It can," Jen said. "It did once before. My point is I don't want you to be overconfident in our defenses. They can be breached despite our best efforts. So, if that happens, don't get discouraged or start placing blame. Just do your jobs and bring them back."

Suddenly, alarms blared all throughout the area. The rangers quickly replaced their helmets, awaiting orders.

"This is Scotts. What's going on?" Jen asked, talking into her communicator.

"There's been a breach. Someone is trying to steal the Time Fire morpher," Katie Walker said.

"Damn it," Jen said. "Everyone, converge there." She looked up at the anxiously waiting rangers. "Come with me."

"What is the Time Fire morpher?" James, Time Force Blue, asked. "Is it for a new ranger?"

"It's a copy of the Quantum morpher but since Eric still has that in the past, we created our own in this time. Only certain people with certain clearance know about it. You five being rangers give you that clearance but I wasn't planning to tell you about it just yet."

"Requesting back up," a soldier's voice said through the comms. "It's a troop –." The line cut out and went dead.

Jen pulled her sidearm and stood at the corner with the five new rangers behind her. She did a quick peek around the corner and only found a few guards on the ground but no sign of danger. The group rushed over to the guards discovering they were still alive. Jen called for medical teams to report to the vault.

Suddenly, a curved S-shaped weapon with glowing purple blades flew through the air, striking two of the rangers. Before anyone had a chance to recover, laser blasts struck the remaining rangers. Jen dove around the corner. She had no ranger armor to protect her. Her eyes widened as a figure wearing white and red armor emerged from the darkness.

The rangers got back to their feet and stood battle ready. The intruder showed no signs of backing down when facing five rangers. The rangers sprinted forward drawing their weapons. Jen stood by waiting for a clear shot. Without her powers and her age, there was no way she'd keep up with the fight. She might last a little longer than the guards. Considering the intruder's ability to handle five rangers at once, Jen hoped the Hyperforce team could make it in time.

The intruder threw the pink and blue rangers through a wall then turned and kicked the green ranger in the chest. She pulled her blaster and shot the yellow and red rangers, dropping them. The green ranger received his own laser blast the moment he got to his feet. The intruder turned and fired at the pink and blue rangers who were just now standing up. Smoke poured from their wounds.

Another laser blast struck the intruder's shoulder. They turned to face Jen who had her blaster trained on them. Before Jen could fire another shot, the intruder dashed over and grabbed her by the neck. Jen was then thrown into a nearby wall slamming her head off it.

The intruder activated the Time Fire morpher. The white and red armor disappeared and was replaced by the red and black ranger uniform. Their attention shot to the doorway when more rangers appeared. Some stood battle ready while the others checked on their fallen comrades.

The intruder pressed a few buttons on the morpher and disappeared.

"Where'd she go?" Hyperforce Yellow asked.

"She went back in time," Jen said while being helped to her feet by Hyperforce Black.

"How?"

"The Time Fire morpher has its own built-in Chronal Transportal Device. They can go anywhere without needing the portal."

"How do we find them?" Hyperforce Red asked.

"We'll have to find inconsistencies in the timeline," Jen said.

Suddenly, thunder cracked and lightning struck the ground. A black twister touched down in the middle of the city. Instead of moving around ripping up everything in its path and sending debris flying, this twister was stationary and pulling everything into it.

"What the hell is that?" Hyperforce Blue asked.

"That's a temporal vortex," Jen said. "That means someone has messed with the timeline. We need to move fast if we're going to save everyone and everything."

Cries for help came through on their communicators shortly before going silent. Those voices included Jen's former ranger team.

"We need to call the zords," Carly said. "They have the scanners we need to pinpoint where in time the intruder went."

As suggested, the two teams called forth their megazords. They all ran outside to jump into their zords. Suddenly, the building behind them was ripped from its foundation and pulled into the twister. Jen was caught in its pull. Several rangers reached out for her but there was no chance to grab her before she disappeared in the twister.

The rangers jumped into their zords and moved away from the twister. The twister grew in size while remaining in place.

"The readings show there were disturbances in two thousand twenty-three and nineteen ninety-two," Time Green said. "But I can't pinpoint where exactly."

"Activating the transport device," Time Blue said.

"Hyperforce, status report," Time Red said.

"We're setting up our transport device," Hyperforce Red said. "Just awaiting orders."

"We'll go back to twenty-twenty-three. The Power Rangers existed then so our presence won't cause problems."

"Understood. Inputting time –"

The Hyperforce megazord was suddenly struck by a bolt of lightning pulled backward and into the twister.

"Shit," Time Red said. "Get us out of here."

"Chronal Transition Initiating," the computer said.

The megazord sliced through the sky heading for space. Their speed was slowing as the twister's pull got stronger.

"Put all available power to getting us –."

A bolt of lightning struck the megazord. Sparks erupted from consoles all around them. The controls went dark. They flew backward toward the twister. There was no stopping them from entering it.

"Chronal Transition Activated."

Alarms screamed inside the Space Patrol Alpha command center. Adam Park stepped onto the command desk looking at the screen.

"What do you got for me, Tate?"

"A megazord just appeared in Earth's orbit."

"Who is it?"

"It appears to be Time Force."

"Can you contact them?"

Tate shook his head. "They aren't responding. It looks like the megazord is just adrift but I am picking up five life signs."

Adam stroked his goatee. "Are the Space Rangers still on Earth?"

"They are."

"Contact them and send them up there to assist Time Force and stop that megazord from crashing."

The Space Rangers boarded the Time Force megazord and entered the cockpit The consoles were dark with only emergency power lighting the bridge in a deathly red glow. The Time Force rangers were on the ground unconscious.

"DECA," Andros said. "Bring the ship alongside the megazord and let's tow it to Earth with the tractor beam.

"Yes, sir, Captain, sir!"

"Don't call me that," Andros said.

Andros looked over at Ashley, who he knew was smiling even behind her helmet. Ashley shrugged while Andros shook his head.

"Every time we come to Earth, DECA always seems to develop a new personality," Andros said.

"At least it's not the flirtatious girl anymore," Ashley said.

"This has Adam written all over it," Andros said just as the megazord slightly shook as the Astro Megaship's tractor beam took hold. "I'll have to post security to keep him from messing with DECA."

Adam and a team of medics waited in the pouring rain as the Astro Megaship emerged through the overcast clouds with the megazord. The storm seemed to have come out of nowhere and had picked up in intensity. The weather forecast had called for rain but Adam didn't think this much would fall.

The Space rangers carried out the Time Force rangers. Once they were clear, the medics moved in with stretchers. Adam walked up to Andros.

"Figure out anything?"

Andros shook his head. "No, consoles were burned out, conduits ruptured, and it looked like they were in a major battle but aside from the scoring on the hull I don't see any real damage."

The two stepped inside where Andros unmorphed. Adam cursed himself for not morphing into Zeo Green to stay dry. The rain slamming off the hull of the megazord echoed throughout the corridor that led to the cockpit.

Adam looked around the cockpit trying to find any shred of evidence that would give him some sort of answer.

"Do you think they were boarded?"

"Maybe but it didn't look like the rangers put up much of a fight."

TJ, Carlos and Cassie walked in unmorphing.

"We did some scans of the hull and the scoring appears to be from lightning," TJ said.

"Lightning?" Adam asked. "That seems strange. Usually lightning doesn't do that to the zords."

"Also," Cassie said. "We picked up traces of chroniton particles."

"That's not unusual," Adam said. "Chronitons are normal when time travel is involved."

"Yeah, but not so concentrated," Cassie said. "Chronitons usually disappear shortly after arrival and aren't so potent. These were."

"It's like whatever hit them, was nothing but pure chroniton energy," Carlos said.

Adam sighed. "That leaves us with two questions. Who did this and why did Time Force come back to this time?"

In Angel Grove, Minh Kwan stood in front of the grave of her mother Trini Kwan. She sat down after placing flowers in front of the headstone. She pulled out the power morpher she now used that once belonged to her mother. She stared at it trying to imagine her mother and the life she led when she was in high school.

"It's amazing to think about all the things you did when you were my age. I hope I can make just as much of an impact on the world as you did."

"You won't," a voice said startling Minh. A red power ranger walked toward her.

Minh shot to her feet. She didn't recognize the uniform but she knew it wasn't Rocky or Jason. She could only tell this person was female.

"Who are you?"

The ranger tilted their head as if confused by the question. "Time Fire," they finally said.

Minh had heard of the Time Force rangers and assumed this one was with that team but it didn't explain why it looked like they were wanting a fight.

"What do you want?"

"I'd think it'd be obvious at this point," the ranger said pointing its weapon at Minh. "I have a score to settle with your father."

"My father?"

"You see, he and I have a history. He killed my husband. My husband was sent out to bring him back after he defected. He was murdered by your father."

"My father was not a traitor!"

"Your father is a murderer but killing him isn't my goal. I want him to suffer like I did; like I still do. But I want him to suffer more. Nothing is quite as painful as losing a child. I want him to live the rest of his life in agony knowing he's the reason you're dead."

"My father died while fighting a fire."

The ranger lowered her weapon. "Wait, your father is dead? That's not right."

"He died when I was two."

"You are lying," the ranger said firing a few shots at Minh.

"SABERTOOTH TIGER!"

Minh morphed into the yellow ranger and immediately attacked. She slammed her foot into the side of the red ranger's head.

"What makes you think I'm lying?" Minh asked.

"Because I know he's not dead. He needs to feel the pain I felt and more."

"You're gonna be feeling pain all right," a voice said from the red ranger's blindside. The ranger was kicked again. She got to her feet to see the yellow ranger was flanked by the blue and black rangers of her team.

"What happened?" Billy asked.

"I'm not even sure," Minh said. "This ranger attacked me. She thinks my father isn't dead."

"I was at the funeral myself," Zack said.

"That can't be," the red ranger said. "You're all lying. I know he's alive in this time." She fired again and the rangers dodged her attack.

"She's a Time Force ranger," Billy said. "She would have access to records of past events. She should know Ryan died. Unless…,"

The red ranger sprinted over and swung her sword around at them. The three rangers ducked and dodged her attacks before rolling away. They pulled out their weapons.

"Unless what?" Zack asked.

"Unless she is from a different future where Ryan wasn't dead."

"A different future?"

"Correct," Billy said. "That would confirm the existence of the multiverse where there are an infinite number of possibilities. Universes where we never became rangers, or we were the only ranger team to ever exist or even one where Trini and Ryan never died."

Zack flipped his ax around to its blaster mode and fired several purple-colored blasts at the dodging red ranger. One of the blasts struck the ground next to the red ranger, hitting her with its shockwave.

The red ranger recovered quickly and got a strike across Billy's chest who had blocked her first swipes but missed the fourth one. Zack leaped into the air bringing his axe down. The red ranger grabbed the stunned Billy and threw him at Zack, sending them both to the ground.

"Final Mode, DV REFREEZER STANDBY," her morpher announced.

"DV CHANGE!" She pressed a button on her pistol and with a slashing motion, the pistol changed into a glowing blade. She charged at the two rangers who were getting to their feet. She watched their movements as she decided how to cut through them.

Suddenly, the red ranger's arm was kicked upward, leaving herself open. Minh used her power daggers to slice across the ranger's chest and then shoved one of them into the red ranger's wrist morpher. She expected the red ranger to unmorph but her powers never even so much as flickered.

However, lightning of various colors began to rip open the sky and strike the ground around them. One bolt sent Billy and Zack flying backward. Minh struggled with the red ranger as she tried to do more damage to the morpher, thinking the fight would be over if they could get the red ranger to power down.

A lightning bolt struck the pair and then they were gone.
