Chapter 23: Day Three of the Grand Magic Games
"I'm sorry Jay" stated Yukino between choked sobs, tears running down her face. Jay was stunned silent, not knowing what to say as he woman he loved sobbed in front of him.
"I failed you Jay, I'm so sorry" stated Yukino in a tearful expression, her entire body shaking from her sobs. After saying these words Yukino turned away from Jay and started to run away from him. Jay reached out towards Yukino as she ran further away from him, wanting to say something to take away her sadness.
"Yukino" stated Jay as he suddenly sat up in bed, realizing that he was having a nightmare about yesterday's events.
As Jay stayed sitting in his bed, he could still clearly picture Yukino crying her heart out to him, and he didn't do a damn thing to comfort her. Yukino had lost her home, she was kicked out of the Sabertooth guild. When Jay thought about what the others in Sabertooth did to her, he was filled with rage. Jay felt bad for Yukino, he felt guilty since he knew he would be on the side of kicking her out if he didn't have strong feelings for her. Feeling like a hypocrite didn't feel good but it paled in comparison to how bad he felt when he thought about Yukino all alone and with no home.
"Don't worry Yukino, I'm going to win back your home" stated Jay to himself, thinking that he would do anything for Yukino. Jay knew that Sabertooth was wrong, that the guild needed to change. Sabertooth was in the wrong but Jay would still fight for his guild, he would fight to reclaim Yukino's home.
Jay sighed with exhaustion as he got out of bed, he didn't get much sleep last night. After his fun with Lucy and Virgo, Jay went back to his room and tried to get some sleep. Each time Jay closed his eyes he could see Yukino's tearful expression, and his heart broke all over again. Even if Jay didn't see Yukino's tearful expression each time he closed his eyes, it didn't feel right sleeping without Yukino next to him. Since they had gotten together Jay got use to the feeling of Yukino sleeping next to him, his bed felt empty without her. As Jay stood up he hoped that wherever Yukino was that she was safe and okay.
"I need to get ready for the day" Jay said to himself as he looked at the time, he would have to join the rest of the team at the arena soon. As Jay walked towards the bathroom, he stumbled a bit as a wave of exhaustion washed over him. Taking a moment to steady himself, Jay continued to speak.
"Damn I guess consuming an element that's not mine takes a toll on me" stated Jay, referring to the fact he had consumed Natsu's fire yesterday in order to continue his rampage against Sabertooth. While he gained a new and powerful form in Fire Water Dragon mode, Jay could still feel the consequences of consuming an element that wasn't his own. Feeling the exhaustion fade away for now, Jay hoped that he would have to fight today with how tired he felt.
"How nice of you to join us Jay" stated Minerva in a flirty tone as Jay walked over to her and the other members of the Sabertooth team. Jay had to bite back a retort to Minerva's words, he was still angry at her and the rest of the Guild. Despite his anger, Jay knew that he had smother it in order to ensure that Yukino regained her home. Still giving Jay a flirty smile, Minerva continued to speak.
"I was lonely last night Jay, you should have kept me company" stated Minerva in a flirty tone, thinking that Jay shouldn't waste his time with weaklings when he could be with her. Glaring at Minerva, Jay started to speak.
"The thought of spending the night with you makes me want to vomit" responded Jay in a cold tone, thinking that Minerva while she was physically attractive her personality was a major turn off. Giving Jay a fake hurt look, Minerva started to speak.
"I'm hurt you would think that Jay, but I know you will come around soon" responded Minerva in a flirty tone as she walked over to Jay. Reaching forward Minerva teasing caressed Jay's muscular chest as she continued to speak.
"Soon you will realize you are wasting your time with weaklings and spend your time with someone that can match you in power" stated Minerva in a flirty tone, thinking that Jay was the perfect man and should be with her. Thanks to her father, for better or worse Minerva craved and was attracted to power. Being attracted to power and powerful men meant that Jay was always in Minerva's crosshairs, and he would be hers eventually. Slapping Minerva's hand away, Jay stepped away from her as he started to speak.
"I don't care about power Minerva. What I care most about is personality and unfortunately for you that means we will never be together" responded Jay in a cold tone, thinking that Minerva was an ice cold bitch, and he would never be with her. Still glaring angrily at Minerva, Jay continued to speak.
"And if you keep referring to Yukino as a weakling I will show you just how weak you are compared to me" stated Jay in an angry tone, his eyes silently daring Minerva to say another negative thing about Yukino. Despite the cold threat she had just received from Jay, Minerva gave him a flirty smile as she started to speak.
"You keep making threats like that Jay I won't be able to keep my hands away from you" responded Minerva in a flirty tone before she continued to speak.
"I like it rough you know" stated Minerva in a flirty tone as she sexily licked her lips. Thanks to her father, Minerva developed a certain appreciation for power and believed that being rough was a show of affection. Still angry at Minerva, Jay started to speak.
"Never going to happen Minerva" responded Jay in a cold tone as he walked past her. Walking past Minerva and the rest of the Sabertooth team, Jay continued to speak.
"Let's just go to our assigned place. The games are going to start soon" stated Jay in a cold tone, not wanting to continue his conversation with Minerva. Soon Jay was standing with the rest of the Sabertooth team as the third day of the Grand Magic games officially started.
"Welcome back to the Grand Magic Games! Yesterday was an exciting day filled with amazing displays of magical power and today will be no different" shouted the announcer in an excited tone, the crowd cheering loudly. Jay along with the rest of the Sabertooth team listened as the announcer explained the current rankings, Minerva's annoyance could be felt as Sabertooth wasn't announced in first place.
"Make sure that Sabertooth is back on top by the end of today or else" stated Minerva in a commanding tone, speaking towards the entire team.
"That goes with saying. Yesterday was a fluke" responded Orga in a confident tone, eager to show everyone that Sabertooth was still number one.
"That's right. Now that we took out the trash in the guild, Sabertooth will dominate" responded Sting with an amused smile. Turning to face Sting, Jay glared at him as he started to speak.
"Take that back right now" responded Jay in a threatening tone as he glared at Sting. Smiling mockingly at Jay, Sting started to speak.
"Are you still angry about your weak girlfriend. She was trash, the guild is better off without her" responded Sting in a mocking tone. Seeing nothing but a flash of red thanks to Sting's words, Jay punched Sting across the jaw before he started to speak.
"I said to take that back" yelled Jay in an angry tone, getting ready to strike Sting again if he mocked Yukino. Taking a moment to spit out some blood from the strike he just took, Sting started to speak.
"You have a lot of nerve telling me what to do Jay. You are lucky you weren't kicked out of the guild for the crap you pulled last night" responded Sting in an angry tone. Still glaring angrily at Sting, Jay started to speak.
"And you are lucky I didn't destroy the entire guild for what you did to Yukino. If you keep calling her trash then I promise it will be one of the last things you ever do" responded Jay in an angry and cold tone. Stepping towards Jay and showing that he wasn't afraid of him, Sting started to speak.
"I'm getting really sick of your holy than thou attitude. Yukino failed and was expelled from the guild. In the past you had no issue kicking out the weak from the guild. You don't get to suddenly change your mind just because your girlfriend turned out to be useless" responded Sting in an annoyed tone. Sting's words triggered another flash of anger to surge through him.
With the surge of anger flowing through him, Jay punched Sting once again across the jaw. This time Jay didn't stop with just a single strike. Sting tried to fight back but the anger flowing through Jay combined with Jay naturally being stronger than Sting made it, so Sting was quickly overpowered. As Sting was on the ground, Jay was on top of him as he repeatedly punched Sting in the face. The rest of the Sabertooth team watched in amusement, not moving to help Sting since he was weak and losing a fight. As Jay continued to beat Sting's face in, he started to speak.
"Who's the useless trash now huh?! Should you be kicked out of the guild for losing" asked Jay in an angry tone, seeing red as he continued to punch Sting in the face. Blood was gushing out of Sting's nose as Jay continued to beat his face in. Just as Jay was about to punch Sting again, he felt a small pair of hands try and hold him back.
"Jay please stop, don't hurt Sting! Sting didn't mean it, please stop" stated Lector in a pleading tone, tears in his eyes as he begged Jay to stop hurting his best friend. Turning to face Lector, Jay saw that Frosch was standing beside Lector. Giving Jay a worried look, Frosch started to speak.
"Please stop Jay, this isn't how friends should treat each other" stated Frosch in a worried tone. Seeing the tearful expressions from the two guild members that Jay thought were genially good and kind, he sighed as his anger started to fade away. Stepping away from Sting, Jay started to speak.
"Don't speak about Yukino like that again" stated Jay to Sting, who was still laying on the ground while Lector checked him over. Wiping away the blood staining his face, Sting took a moment to reset his broken nose before he stood up. Glaring at Jay, Sting started to speak.
"This isn't over Jay" responded Sting in an angry tone, his pride hurt worse than his broken nose.
"Come on Sting, just stop it. It's not worth it" stated Lector in a worried tone, hating to see his friends fighting each other. Nodding his head in agreement, Frosch started to speak.
"Frosch thinks so too. Don't fight" responded Rouge in a sad tone. As Rouge walked over to Frosch and comforted him, Sting started to speak.
"We're going to settle this. I'm not going to just let you beat on me and get away with it" stated Sting in an angry tone, eager to get even. Not showing even a small sign of fear, Jay started to speak.
"Anytime anywhere Sting. I'll remind you why I'm the battle king of Sabertooth" responded Jay in a cold tone, wanting to take out his anger about Yukino out on Sting. Stepping between Jay and Sting with an amused look on her face, Minerva started to speak.
"That's enough boys. Save your strength for the other guilds" stated Minerva in an amused tone before she turned her full attention towards Jay as she continued to speak.
"I don't have to remind you Jay about our deal do I" asked Minerva in a teasing tone. Jay still didn't like Minerva, but he knew that he had to play along for now if he wanted Yukino to get her home back. Taking a brief moment to suppress his anger, Jay started to speak.
"I haven't forgotten. Just make sure you hold up your end of the deal" responded Jay in a cold tone, determined to crush anyone if it meant that Yukino could rejoin Sabertooth. After Jay said these words he turned his attention towards the arena just as the announcer continued to speak.
"Without any more delay let's get started with the competition portion for the day. The name of the game is Pandemonium! Guilds choose the member that will take part in Pandemonium" stated the announcer through the speaker system. Turning his attention towards the rest of the Sabertooth team, Jay started to speak.
"So, who is it going to be" asked Jay in a curious tone. Smiling at Jay's words, Orga started to speak.
"I got this. I've been itching to show off my power" responded Orga with an eager smile as he cracked his knuckles. Jay nodded his head in understanding, internally he was glad he didn't have to compete since he was still tired from consuming an element that wasn't his own. Soon Orga was standing in the middle of the arena with the other participants, waiting to hear about the rules of Pandemonium.
"So Erza and Canna are the ones representing Fairy Tail" stated Jay to himself, somewhat disappointed now that he didn't choose to participate himself. While Jay was still angry about what happened with Yukino, the competitive part of him still wanted to test himself against a worthy opponent such as Erza. After hearing the explanation of the rules, Jay continued to speak.
"The rules sound simple enough" stated Jay thinking that the game would be interesting to watch.
"Orga just better make sure he wins" stated Sting with a smile, thinking that the competition would be an easy win for Orga. Jay wasn't so sure about Orga's victory. While Jay knew that Orga was strong, he also knew that Erza wasn't a pushover. In addition to Erza, the wizard saint from Lamia Scale could also be a problem.
"Don't worry Sting, Orga totally has this one in the bag" responded Lector in an excited tone, confident that Orga would win the Pandemonium competition.
"Yah I think so too" responded Frosch in a happy tone, eager to cheer on his friend. Shortly after Frosh said these words, the order for the competition was determined.
"Orga is fifth in line, he's going to have to be strategic about the number of monsters he chooses to fight. This Pandemonium game is all about choosing the right number of monsters to fight" stated Rouge as he watched Erza step forward. Nodding his head in agreement, Jay started to speak.
"Yah each person has to carefully consider how many monsters you should fight. Fight too little and you won't score enough points to win but bite off more than you can chew, and you end up dead last" responded Jay thinking that this game was more complicated than it first appeared to be. As Jay was thinking of the best strategy to win the game, Erza stated the number of monsters she wanted to fight.
"I choose to fight all one hundred monsters" stated Erza with confidence in her voice, shocking everyone watching.
"Hold on, what the hell did she just say" asked Sting in a shocked tone, thinking that he just heard Erza wrong.
"Erza really intends to fight all one hundred monsters? Is she insane" asked Rouge in a shocked tone, thinking this must be a desperate move from Fairy Tail to gain a lead in the games. Looking at Erza standing with confidence in the middle of the arena, Jay started to speak.
"Maybe she is insane but I'm curious to see what she does next" responded Jay with a smile spreading across his face. Looking at Erza, Jay felt excitement fill him as he waited to see what the queen of the fairies could do.
"W-what did you say" asked the mascot of the grand magic games in a shocked tone, worried that Erza was about to break the game that had a lot of thought put into it. Still with a confident and determined look on her face, Erza started to speak.
"Did I stutter? I wish to fight all one hundred monsters" responded Erza in a confident tone, showing no fear as she readied to face all of Pandemonium. While the mascot still had a shocked look, Jay could hear Natsu and Gray laughing loudly from the other side of the arena. Obviously Natsu and Gray knew something that Jay didn't, they didn't seem worried about Erza in the slightest. Smiling as he observed Natsu and Gray, Jay started to speak.
"This is going to be good" stated Jay, mostly to himself as he turned his attention back towards Erza as she prepared to enter the large castle where one hundred monsters waited for her. Jay along with everyone else in the arena watched as Erza started to effortlessly battle against one hundred monsters. Watching as Erza slew yet another monster, Rouge started to speak.
"This is incredible. Twenty monsters are already defeated" stated Rouge in an amazed tone as Erza continued to battle monster after monster. In the time it took Rouge to say these words, Erza defeated ten more monsters, still showing little strain from her efforts.
"Is this for real" asked Lector in a shocked tone, not believing that someone outside of Sabertooth could be this strong. For serval minutes the crowd watched in awe as Erza fought through the castle, defeating every monster she came across. Soon Erza defeated the final monster of Pandemonium, the crowd going insane as they cheered. While the crowd cheered for Erza's victory, Jay started to speak.
"Damn she's incredible" stated Jay in an impressed tone, his desire to test himself against Erza increasing thanks to her show of strength. Still staring at Erza with awe in his eyes, Jay continued to speak.
"Erza Scarlet you are amazing" stated Jay with awe and admiration in his voice, excited for his chance to face Erza in battle. Seeing how impressed Jay was with Erza, Minerva glared at Erza. A jealous look spread across Minerva's face, thinking that she would show Jay that Erza was nothing compared to her. After the announcer shouted Erza's victory over the speaker system, the remaining participants were given an alternative competition to determine the rest of the rankings.
"So now it's just a competition of raw strength" stated Jay after the rules were explained.
"If that's the case then Orga has this in the bag" responded Lector with a smile, thinking that none of the other participants could match Orga's strength. Looking at the other participants, Jay started to speak.
"That may be true Lector but one of the other participants could be trouble" responded Jay as he glanced over to Jura while he continued to speak.
"They don't make you a wizard saint for nothing. I suspect that Jura has a lot of power and shouldn't be underestimated" stated Jay, curious to see what sort of power Jura was hiding. Taking quick look over the rest of the participants, Jay didn't think anyone else could challenge Orga. Cana might be nice and sexy girl who he enjoyed being with, but she never struck Jay as someone that was particularly strong.
Jay along with the rest of the Sabertooth team watched as each participant fired an attack on the power scale lacrima. The wizards from Mermaid Heel, Quatro Cerberus and Blue Pegasus almost bored Jay to death, their magical power phatically low. The wizard from Raven Tail was up next and his attack was the worst one yet. Jay wondered if the Ravel Tail wizard was actually that weak to score so low, it didn't make any sense to lose on purpose in Jay's opinion. Seeing that Orga was up next, Jay paid closer attention while Rouge started to speak.
"If this is the best the competition can do then this will be easy for Orga" stated Rouge in an unimpressed tone since not a single score was displayed that could come close to Orga's magical power. Nodding his head in agreement, Jay started to speak.
"Like I told Lector. The only one that can challenge Orga is Jura" responded Jay as he watched Orga charge up his magical power. Lighting crackled in Jura's palms as he channeled his lighting god slayer magic. Firing one of his most powerful magical attacks, Orga shattered all previous scores.
"Amazing! Orga from Sabertooth has scored a power rating of 3825! With a score like that Orga moves to the top" shouted the announcer in a shocked tone, the rest of the crowd shocked at the sky high power rating that Orga just scored. Smiling at everyone's shock, Sting started to speak.
"Don't know why anyone is surprised, there's a reason why Sabertooth is on top" stated Sting with a confidant smile. While Jay agreed with Sting, he was curious to see what sort of score Jura would achieve since it was now his turn. Stepping forward, Jura started to channel his magical power and immediately Jay could tell that Orga was about to lose.
"Damn he has this much magical power" asked Jay in a shocked tone, feeling the weight of Jura's magical power from his position in the stands. Feeling Jura's magical power, Jay thought it started to come close to the power he could achieve when he activated his dragon force. Looking at Jura, Jay gained a level of respect for the Wizard Saint since Jura could be one of the few people that would force Jay to use dragon force. After channeling his magical power, Jura fired his attack.
"I don't believe it" shouted the announcer in a shocked and amazed tone, everyone in the crowd gasping with surprise as Jura's power rating was displayed.
"Jura has rocketed to the top with a score of 8544" shouted the announcer to the shock of the entire crowd.
"No way, Orga lost" asked Lector in a shocked tone. Taking the loss in stride, Jay started to speak.
"It's like I said, you're not made a wizard saint for nothing. Orga is just lucky this isn't a direct battle" responded Jay thinking that if Orga lost a direct one on one battle then he would also be kicked out of Sabertooth. Watching as Cana drunkenly stumbled forward, Jay continued to speak.
"Although scoring third isn't the worst thing in the world. Orga will still net us a decent number of points" stated Jay with a smile, almost feeling sorry for Cana since it was obvious she was drunk. Cana was a nice girl but in her current state it was obvious she was going to score a low power rating. After Jay said these words, he watched as Cana smiled from ear to ear as she revealed a strange marking on her arm.
"What the hell is that" asked Jay in a curious tone, thinking he never saw this marking on Cana before and he had seen every inch of Cana. Soon Jay along with everyone else felt an absurd amount of magical power coming from Cana as she shouted her attack. Amazed and shocked at the power he was feeling from Cana, Jay continued to speak.
"Fairy Glitter? What kind of spell is that" asked Jay in a curious tone, thinking that whatever sort of spell it was that it was incredibly strong. After saying these words, Jay along with everyone else watched as the entire arena was enveloped by a bright light. Once the light faded away, Cana stood in a victory pose as she shouted to the crowd.
"There's no stopping us! We just started to rock your world! Fairy Tail will be number one again" shouted Cana as the crowd went wild, Cana's score showing 9999 since she destroyed the lacrima. With an impressed smile, Jay started to speak.
"I had no idea Cana was this strong. I better make sure I don't piss her off or else she could kick my ass" stated Jay in an impressed tone, shocked that he misjudged Cana this much. Who knew that someone like Cana had a spell that powerful?
"Absolutely incredible! Fairy Tail is taking the day's event by storm, they can't be stopped" yelled the announcer as the crowd cheered loudly. While Jay was somewhat disappointed that his guild didn't come in first or even second during the event, he had to admit that Lucy's guild was very impressive. Shortly after the announcer declared Cana the winner and the rankings and points were awarded, Orga rejoined the Sabertooth team.
"Don't feel too bad about this Orga. Erza and Cana were unreal today" stated Jay in a supportive tone, thinking that even he would likely fall short against Erza in the pandemonium competition as well. Jay also suspected that he couldn't produce an attack stronger that the Fairy Glitter spell that Cana used. With a somewhat annoyed look, Orga started to speak.
"Whatever, those girls just got lucky is all. Just wait till I get to battle one on one. Whoever is unlucky enough to face me won't stand a chance" responded Orga in an annoyed tone, frustrated that he didn't earn first place. Shortly after Orga said these words, the battle portion of the third day started.
The first match of the day was incredibly boring in Jay's opinion. The competitors were a wizard from Quatro Cerberus and the cat lady from Mermaid Heel. Both of the wizards weren't that impressive, their magical power laughably low. The only thing that kept the match somewhat interesting was the attractive cat lady, her outfit leaving little to the imagination. Soon the match was over and Mermaid Heel was victorious.
"Man besides the drunk they have in their guild, Quatro Cerberus is pathetic" stated Jay in a bored tone, hoping that the next match would be more interesting.
"The next match will be Sabertooth vs Blue Pegasus" shouted the announcer before he continued to speak.
"Representing Sabertooth is Orga" shouted the announcer in an excited tone.
"Hell yah, now I can really show off my power" stated Orga in an excited tone. Smiling at these words, Jay started to speak.
"At least this match will be interesting" responded Jay thinking that a match with his guild mate would be able to hold his interest more than the last match.
"Representing Blue Pegasus is Eve" shouted the announcer. Groaning in annoyance at these words, Jay started to speak.
"Never mind, this match isn't going to last longer than a minute" stated Jay in a bored tone since Eve was incredibly weak when compared to Orga. Sure enough once the match started, a single shot of black lighting from Orga knocked out Eve.
"The winner is Orga from Sabertooth" shouted the announcer as Orga walked away from the passed out Eve. Sighing with boredom, Jay started to speak.
"I really hope the next matches will be more entertaining than that" stated Jay in a bored tone.
The next match was between Fairy Tail team B and Raven Tail. Seeing that Lucy's guild was involved Jay was interested to see how strong this Laxus person was. Jay recalled that Laxus was like him, a second generation dragon slayer. Curious to see how strong another second generation dragon slayer was, Jay paid close attention as the match started.
"Damn is this Laxus guy seriously this weak" asked Jay in a bored tone, disappointed that a fellow second generation dragon slayer was being beaten so easily. The match had started a few minutes ago and so far the match was completely one sided.
"The guy is an embarrassment to all dragon slayers" responded Sting in a dismissive tone. While Jay was still pissed at Sting, he had to agree with him. Taking another moment to watch as Laxus was pummeled repeatedly, Jay turned his attention towards Lucy from across the stadium.
"Lucy and the others certainly seemed shocked that Laxus is losing" stated Jay to himself, thinking that something didn't make sense. The look of shock from Lucy and the other members of her team went beyond worry for their guildmate, it was genuine shock. Thinking about what Lucy told him about her guild, Jay recalled her telling him that Laxus was one of the strongest in the Fairy Tail guild.
"I thought Lucy told me that Laxus was on the same level as Erza, this doesn't make any sense" stated Jay in a confused tone as he continued to watch Laxus getting easily beaten.
"Are you serious? No way this guy is on the same level as Erza" responded Orga thinking that this Laxus person was pathetic.
"Maybe I heard Lucy wrong but everyone from Fairy Tail seems shocked that Laxus is losing" responded Jay in a confused tone, starting to doubt if he remembered Lucy's words correctly.
Thinking back to when he first visited Fairy Tail after Lucy came back, Jay thought he remembered Lucy telling him who the guilds strongest wizards were. There was obviously Erza, and Mira was powerful when she wanted to be. Some guy called Gildarts was supposedly a powerhouse, but he was never around. Laxus was one of the names Lucy told him about, but Jay started to doubt this with how pathetic Laxus was being. Suddenly the people Jay and everyone else had be watching the entire match vanished as the masked man flew into a wall.
"What the hell is going on" asked Jay in a surprised and confused tone. Laxus now seemed completely fine, his opponent on the ground not moving an inch. Looking closer, Jay saw that the rest of the Raven Tail team was in the arena and all of them were knocked out.
"We were watching an illusion the entire time" stated Rouge in a surprised tone. Nodding his head in agreement since it was the only explanation that made sense, Jay started to speak.
"I guess we were. Raven Tail must have tried to cheat and have their entire team jump Laxus at once" responded Jay, remembering what Lucy told him about the bad blood between the two guilds. As the Raven Tail team started to be carried away by the authorities for cheating, Jay thought it was impressive that Laxus seemingly easily beat their entire team. Gaining a sense of respect for the fellow dragon slayer, Jay continued to speak.
"Laxus certainly showed those losers whose boss" stated Jay in an impressed tone. After saying these words, the announcer started to speak.
"Let's begin with the last match of the day. The last match is Fairy Tail Team A versus Lamia Scale" shouted the announcer, the crowd choosing to forget the display of cheating done by Raven Tail and get excited for the last match of the day while the announcer continued to speak.
"From Limia Scale it's Sherria Blendy" shouted the announcer before he continued to speak.
"And from Fairy Tail team A is Wendy Marvel" shouted the announcer as both competitors rushed into the arena. Funnily enough both competitors tripped when they ran into the arena, falling flat on their faces. Interested to see where this match was going to go, Jay started to speak.
"This Wendy is a dragon slayer, I wonder how she will perform" stated Jay in a curious tone before he turned his attention towards Rouge and continued to speak.
"I believe Wendy is like you and Sting, she was trained and taught by a dragon" stated Jay, curious to see what Rouge thought about his fellow first generation dragon slayer.
"Wendy was raised by Grandeeney, the sky dragon. I'm curious to see how strong she is" responded Rouge in an interested tone. Soon after Rouge said these words, the match started. As the match began, Jay was shocked along with the others when Sherria revealed her magic.
"That little girl is a god slayer" asked Jay in a surprised tone as he continued to watch the two sky sisters fight each other.
"She's not that bad either for such a small thing" responded Orga, impressed as he watched a fellow god slayer in action. Nodding his head in agreement, Jay started to speak.
"Wendy's not that bad either. These two girls will be huge powerhouses when they get older" responded Jay in an impressed tone as he continued to watch the match. Watching the match it was obvious that Wendy and Sherria were still inexperienced given their age and small statue and that Jay could easily defeat them. Still it was impressive that Wendy and Sherria were this strong at their age, in a few years they would be strong contenders in the games. Listening to the announcer though, Jay felt annoyed as he continued to speak.
"That announcer sounds like he should be on a list though" stated Jay in an annoyed tone as one of the announcers continued to gush how cute Wendy and Sherria were. Watching the match continue, Jay continued to be impressed by the two young slayer wizards. After a short while the match ended in a draw.
"The match ended in a draw, that's lame" stated Sting in a bored tone, thinking that the match conclusion was anticlimactic. As Jay was clapping for both competitors, he started to speak.
"It wasn't lame, both those girls fought their hearts out" responded Jay with a smile, somewhat surprised that he actually believed his own words. In a short time he changed his beliefs, Jay no longer believed that winning was everything. Win or lose Fairy Tail seemed to support one another and Jay was jealous that his guild wasn't the same way. After the announcer stated that both guilds would receive five points because of the draw, the third day of the Grand Magic Games came to a close.
"Where are you going Jay" asked Lector in a curious tone as Jay started to walk away from the Sabertooth team. As Jay continued to walk away, he started to speak.
"The games are over for the day, I'm going to explore the city" responded Jay, choosing to lie instead of telling the truth. While Jay was determined to continue fighting for Sabertooth, there wasn't anyone from the guild that he wanted to hang out with. Thinking to himself, Jay thought that it would be fun to hang out with Fairy Tail. Fairy Tail was impressive today, Erza and Cana especially. Jay wanted to celebrate with Fairy Tail, thinking that Lucy's guild was much more fun to hang out with instead of his own.
