Diamond Mine near Congo River : Democratic Republic of Congo : Central Africa
Emmanuel lifted his head up from the pieces of rocks that being dig by other miners. This natural tunnel is unlike everything else they have seen before.
The 3D scanner indicates that there are many valuable minerals down there. Some might even be a diamonds…
Like most of the miners. Emmanuel born in this country and have seen both good and bad effect that the mine like this one did to the lands.
A trees being cut, water from the river being used and gone poisonous. No need to talk about plants and wildlife…
But what can he do? He is just a one piece of much bigger system that running through this land, taking what they want and leaving the deserted area
behinds.
Hell, it doesn't as bad as it sound. A new town forming in the emptiness of what used to be a forest or peaty swamp.
Economic grows and make citizens of this country living in better conditions, building new hospitals, schools and stuffs like that.
Profits is like oil that making society runs. No matter how much do you look at it with judging eyes.
But still. Emmanuel always remembered his grand mother's horror story. About the curse that will eliminates the greedy souls of everyone who dare
destroying the mountain of their ancestor.
The tales of earth goddess Biboo, who still dwells forever in the dark cave under this mountain. Waiting to being freed by whoever who dares to entered her
underground temple…
Emmanuel put the story away from his head since he was in early 20s. The growing up man who about to being starved to death does not care about an old
folk lore. So, he works with the mining company over a decade and sleep well every night knowing that his family is well fed by the money he is making.
But the nightmare comeback again in the least expected time. The day when their dynamites failed to get rid of the solid rock at the end of the tunnel and
forcing the miners to observing it themselves. He is one of the eyewitnesses and the images still stick inside his brain since then.
It is not much of a horror. Just an ancient carving pictures on the rock. Probably being made by some kind of Stone Age people long time ago.
And the picture itself doesn't make much sense, either. Emanuel managed to understand some familiar things like bird that being painted in black.

But he has no idea about the big human eye that open in the middle of blackness that spread over half of the picture like a burned fried egg or the stone
statue that looks somewhat like a Moai he seen in ASMR channel he subscribed to.
Most of them agrees that these guys are probably god or demons that being created by ancient people imagination.
And it is a good thing to blows them up before the 'authorities' (whoever they are) will declared that they cannot mining here anymore.

A sound of running footstep make Emanuel looks at his coworkers unsurely, waiting for more words from the radio.
" Hello? Are you still there?" He said at last.

"… Thank you for coming today, everyone! Hope you guys went home pack with fun and full stomach tonight!" Calliope shouts before she will tossing
her mic away, gaining a cheers from hundreds of people that surrounds the stage after she has finished her 12 songs marathon.
Nearby, the KFP food truck that parking nearby also being packed with the crowds too. Since Kiara offered 50% discounts for whoever who joined Calliope's
first solo concert in this country.
So, the streets today is filled with people who is holding fired chicken in their hands and light stick in another. Before they will moved toward another fun
thing to do in the middle of festivals.
Not long after the concert is over, Kiara finally hanged the CLOSE sign at the front of her truck,
informing the customers that she has run out of chickens and will closed for the day.
Look like their 'TakaMori' business plan that is basically just have Calliope sings while Kiara strolling around and selling her KFP food truck as a collaboration
is quite effective, it brought those who want to eat her chicken to interested in listening to Calliope's song and vise versa.
So, both tickets and chickens are being sold out within a blink of eye and they will have to increase both in order to gaining more profits next time.
However, tonight is still far from ending. Kiara and Calliope now have a lot of free time to spend here.

Subaru thinking for a few seconds. " Negative, It is too risky. Just waiting for us there and make sure that nothing comes out of the mine without you guys
noticing is enough. I will convinced the local to sending explorer drones in the cave if possible. See you there!"
After that Subaru then hang up, leaving Calliope and Kiara to decide of what to do nexts.
" Look like we have to get there as soon as possible. So prepare yourself, Phoenix." Calliope said, stretching her arms and legs before she will picking Kiara up
in bridal carrying position. Not that they are suddenly being more fond to each other or anything.
But there is a solid reason why both will need to attached to each other as much as possible right now.
Because Calliope is going to use her 'shadow travel' ability in order to crossing the continent as fast as possible while bringing Kiara with her.
And for Phoenix, traveling through the shadow is harder than even for normal being to do so, even with the help of reaper.

Sometimes when you suddenly jerking awake in the middle of the night. You may feel a presence of something in the dark, waiting and watching you.
But as soon as when you panic and switch the light on. The room is as empty as how you remembered.
You sighed in relief and go back to sleep, maybe sipping a glass of water beforehand. But when your hand click on the light switch,
less than second before the darkness will swallow the room again.
You swears you saw something, a movement at the corner of your eye. Which causing you to panic and quickly turn the light on again.
And of course, the room is empty when you did that, why shouldn't it?
The next time you seen it happening, no need to worry about that at all. You can just go back to sleep (after make sure that it is not some of those damn
burglars!) the thing at the corner of your eyes can't harm you. They are just a lost souls who still unable to find their ways to the cycle of life and death.
They may be dead right now but these souls were not forget what being alive is. They are just here to watching the person who asleep, at a time when the
gap between soul and body is as wide as possible while you were losing in the dreams, in vain hope of feeling alive by returning to the body again,
even if it was someone else's body.
No need to worry, most of the time those souls are unable to do any permanent harm to your body. And if it did, there is nothing you can do anyway.
Feel sorry for those poor bastard of a lost souls instead. They are like a blind man that being told to visiting America on foot without knowing what is America
in the first place. Even when they are walking on it. They can never get the salvation they want. ( Until, of course. Some reaper walking passed by.
Or those souls have come to realize of their destination by their own wits. Not exactly impossible, just almost.)
However, the points is that there are billion of lost souls lurking around in this realm. Most are just being transparent by the amount of living people that
spreading their lives energy into their surroundings. But during the nighttime when there are not much people around,
these souls may forming enough to regain in shape, mostly a poor copy version of the what they used to be.
For normal people, the ghost are like rare animals sighting, wonderful and a bit creepy, but not too much harm.
For Phoenix like Kiara however, the ghost are big troubles. All of them wanting a pieces of her eternal fire in vain hope of being alive once more.
Fortunately most of the time they are not strong enough to even forming into shapes or making a sound.
Thus doing no harm for Phoenix more than a normal pest to you.
But when she must travel through the shadow realm, a place where these spirits are mostly clustered together, it is another story.
Those annoying pests will turning into a piranhas, trying to bites or dragging her with them into the eternity darkness as fast as they can.
Kiara closed her eyes and ignored the sound of those lost souls as they are trying to grabbed her body, moaning something completely unrelated to the
situation like. ' My son! My son!' Or ' light, light We must find the light!' ' Why do you leave us here Whyyyy!' Or something like that.
A cold hands that filled with rotten flesh grabbed Phoenix's arms and legs, make her hugging Calliope even more tightly as the lost souls are screaming into
her ears, while Calli is still searching for her ways throughout the darkness, crossing the oceans within a matter of seconds.
A cold hand yanking Kiara by her hair, causing Phoenix to screams from shock more than pain. " Calli!"
Calliope quickly turning to in time to see more and more souls start grabbing Kiara's hair. Some of them start yelling something like
" Phoenix. Phoenix! Phooeeennniiiiixxx!" While other souls start forming around them like an angry bees,
trying to get a piece of the eternal firebird as much as possible.
" Don't f**k with my friend!" Calliope snarled, turning her face into a skull with burning eye socket, making the six souls that grabbing Kiara by her hair
exploded into a dust in less than one second. While the other cries and trying to run away before they will being suck to the cycle of life and death through
Reaper mouth. Only those that remained faraway are managed to survived by blending with darkness around them and avoid Calli's attention.

her eyes is fixing on the right place to go back to the realm of the living.

" Look like we have reach our target ." Calliope said, letting Kiara off her arms as they are looking around.

" What the hell are those? I never see glowing crystals in this shaped and form before." Calliope asked,
while Kiara is frowning and compared the shining crystal in the screen with her ' COVER' crystal necklace.
The color are different, but somewhat very similar at the same time.
The scientist rubbing his eyes after taking his glasses off. " We have no idea. All we know is that crystals like this suddenly growing out of the tunnel at the
same time as when the distress calls are being sent from tunnel worker down there.
We have sends some rescue party, of course. But all of them went missing after a few minutes or so. And looks at how those crystals did to our electronic
devices!"
The man pointing at the screen that start become blurry as if there were a problem with the robot and camera, before something that looked like orange
lightning will sparking from one crystal that growing from the wall, instantly frying the robot and cut the signal between it and the laptop.
" Well, that's the reason why we never send someone else in there. Do you guy have any more idea?" The scientist asked, causing everyone in the room to

" We were being told to just surround this place and wait for our team to come. Since you guys are already did that. Are there any camera in front of the
mine? Perhaps those crystals growing rate may change and we will have a evacuate as quickly as possible." Kiara suggested.

" Man found! Man found!" Somebody yelling from outside of the tent make everyone quickly running out to the opening,
just barely in time to see one man walking out of the dark tunnel with goggling eyes. His worker uniform has name tag 'Emanuel' written on it.
The man staring at everyone around him, before he will collapse on the floor.
