Hey everyone, long time no see. I'm sorry about the long wait for this chapter, but I wanted to work on my other stories a bit and I made some progress. I hope you all saw my Christmas special and enjoyed it. Now, concerning the options of Yusei either returning home, or the Crimson Dragon sends his friends to him, I've made my decision. I've counted the votes and seen that the winner is the option of Yusei going home. It's decided that Yusei will go home, take his daughters with him, and see his friends again. I hope you all respect the direction that this story is taking. Now, to answer a few reviews, both for this story's last chapter and my Christmas special.

Izukusonjackson: Your vote is accepted, along with you respecting my decision.

Valkoor123113: That's it real life effect, I'm using its Manga effect.

Time Knight Leo: Thank you, and yes, the Christmas special will be part of the main story.

Bladeknightmare: Not gonna work. I already have an Xyz Stardust Dragon.

Furyuu: Odd-Eyes and Star-Eyes are the same person, just different forms.

GUIPA: You'll have to wait and find out about Crow and Jack's counterparts. And I know about Nitro Warrior.

Tony Anderson: Thank you, and I hope you had a good holiday as well.

Winged Dragon of Ra is powerful: Glad to hear that.

Wildwolf200: Glad to hear that you're enjoying my stories.

Anime100: I'll do my best. I promise to have Lulu give Sylvio a wake up call, a good one. And about Yusei telling the truth, he'll have the Crimson Dragon help him.

darthwolf: Yusei will adopt Celina next, but that's not for a while.

Guest: Zuzu will try to counter Stardust, but she'll be in for a surprise.

ChaosDeathLord: When that day comes, I swear to make it epic.

A Synchro Fan: Yusei will struggle from time to time, and will grow even more than before, I promise. Leo has set Yusei as Duel Academy's greatest enemy. And Declan's duel against Yusei will be different than his anime duel against Yuya. And lastly, I'll do my best to make things interesting enough for you not to skip them.

Gabotroll: I can't understand you.

Ospite2918: No one did. I'm doing it again.

SniperZ: Thank you for being patient with me.

Shadowalker12: I understand what you're saying, but there's no Link Monsters in this story. I chose to make Blair's deck the Thunder Dragon deck, and it will remain that way. Please understand.

SunsetScrewball: I'm glad to hear that, and Yusei will believe that Sora isn't like the others from the Fusion Dimension. And about Declan, Yusei and him will come to an understanding and will become great allies.

Syafiq: I'm flattered to hear that you're enjoying the story. About Yuto being jealous of Yuya and Lulu, he will at first, but will understand and wish Lulu happiness.

Lightningblade49: Yusei will definitely not let anyone steal Stardust Dragon again, I assure you of that! When the time comes and he trusts Declan, he'll lend it for a while, but will get it back as soon as possible.

Z-ARC34: Well here it is.

DarkMaster359: I've updated my Digimon stories a bit, check them out.

Now that all that's done, the chapter can now begin. I hope you all enjoy it, and I will accept any dislikes of it. I'll try to improve, but still hope you enjoy my stories as much as possible.

Chapter 7: Pendulum Summon.

The sun shined high in the sky above Paradise City, bringing a day where history would be in the making. Across the city, the citizens of Paradise City were going about their day, enjoying the peace that they had. Outside in the outskirts of the city was a familiar three story house that housed three individuals. In the backyard of the house, three birds were gathering around a single birdhouse that was attached to one of the trees, where there was bird seed waiting for them to eat on the inside.

Inside the house in one of the bedrooms, Yusei was sleeping on a king size bed, wearing a black pajama top and pants. The room that was his is spacious; it had a TV on the wall in front of the bed, a desk at the side, where his Duel Disk, wrist dealer, deck and briefcase were. There was a building wardrobe with shelf draws and hangers, where Yusei's jackets hanged and where he kept his clothes. There were two doors, one that lead outside the room, and the other lead to Yusei's own bathroom.

Yusei slowly opened his eyes, waking up from his dream, before he lightly yawned. The Shooting Star of Satellite sat up from lying down on his bed, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes with his right hand. "That was some dream, dreaming about the past". The 19-year-old said as he finished rubbing his eyes, before he tossed his light blue bed sheets aside and got off his bed.

Yusei had dreamed about the past, or more exact, of when he started his mission to stop Z-arc and Leo Akaba, from when he first arrived to the Fusion Dimension, to his duel against The Sledgehammer. A month has passed since his duel against The Sledgehammer, and Yusei, Lulu and Rin have lived in Paradise City in peace with no threats or signs of Duel Academy.

During their stay in the Standard Dimension, Yusei, Lulu and Rin's bonds have grown much stronger, to the point where the two girls would call the 19-year-old their dad casually. Their bonds with their friends in the Standard Dimension have grown stronger as well, with them all having grown into stronger Duelists.

Yusei started stretching his arms out a bit, then stretched his legs out to get the sleep out of him. With his stretching done, Yusei started doing pushups, doing a total of 20 before he finished. Every morning, Yusei did pushups to get a little workout in the morning and to get the sleep out of his system.

Yusei then walked over to the wardrobe, before he picked his clothes for the day. With his clothes in hand, Yusei walked to the bathroom to take a shower, get dressed and brush his teeth. 10 minutes later, Yusei walked out of the bathroom, wearing a black long sleeve, high collar jacket over a dark purple shirt, gray jeans and brown shoes. This was Yusei's outfit that he wears on peaceful days, but he still mostly wears his old outfit.

"Dad, breakfast is ready!" A familiar voice called out from within the house, making Yusei smile lightly as he walked over to his desk. "I'll be right there!" Yusei replied as he placed his wrist dealer on his left forearm, slotted his deck in and finally attached his Duel Disk on. The Shooting Star of Satellite then left his room, heading downstairs, where his girls were.

Yusei walked down the flight of stairs to the hallway, before he walked into the kitchen, where he saw Lulu cooking breakfast, wearing a brand new outfit. Lulu now had her hair in a long side braid with a butterfly bow at the end. She's wearing an off the shoulder light grey nit jumper over a purple tank top, teamed with purple shorts, a pink leather belt, purple tights with brown high heel open toe boots with laces crossing to the sides. The only thing she had of her old outfit was her bracelet that was still around her right wrist.

Lulu had just finished cooking breakfast, and was placing it on the island bench. She had cooked 3 separate pancakes with strawberries and cream for her, Yusei and Rin. The purple haired girl took notice of the Shooting Star of Satellite at the kitchen entrance, making her smile with her eyes closed in joy. "Good morning Dad". The Mistress of Birds greeted the 19-year-old, making Yusei chuckle as he went to the island bench, grabbed a chair and sat down.

"Hey Lulu". Yusei greeted the girl that he's come to accept as his daughter as Lulu placed a cup of tea in front of him. "You're usually up earlier than this. Did you stay up late last night?" Lulu questioned her father figure as he took ahold of his tea cup with his right hand and took a sip of it. "Not really. For some reason, my dream was more like looking through my memories. I dreamt about how I started my mission to stop Z-arc and Leo Akaba, all the way up to the afternoon after my Duel against The Sledgehammer". The 19-year-old male answered the 14-year-old girl, who raised an eyebrow at him as she took her seat.

"Really? Sounds like quite the dream". Lulu said with a smile as she picked up her fork and knife, before she began cutting her pancakes into smaller pieces. "I'll say. Anyway, where's your sister?" Yusei asked as he looked left to look outside to see if Rin was cleaning the pool, or outside in the backyard, but didn't spot her.

"Hey Dad, you're finally up!" A familiar voice called out in a joyful tone, getting Yusei and Lulu to turn to see Rin walking up to them from the kitchen entrance, wearing her new outfit. Rin was now wearing a fitted long sleeve emerald green jacket over a pink flared camisole with a white frilled border, a leather band necklace with a clear crystal pendant, gray jeans and pink high-heeled boots. Finally, around her right wrist was her bracelet.

Yusei smiled at the sight of his second daughter as Rin joined him and Lulu, taking her seat around the island bench between him and her sister. "Hey Rin, how's your Duel Runner?" The Shooting Star of Satellite asked his daughter, getting Rin's expression turn into pure excitement. During this last month, Yusei and Rin have been making a brand new Duel Runner for the green haired girl after a little talk that they had. Yusei could remember the day that Rin told him that she wanted to become a Turbo Duelist.

(Flashback)

Yusei and Rin stood in front of the shoreline side by side, looking at the ocean under the clear blue skies with Yusei's Duel Runner parked 5 feet away behind them. Earlier that day, Rin told Yusei that she wanted to talk to him about something important. The Shooting Star of Satellite could see in Rin's eyes that this was indeed important, so he decided to hear what she wanted to say. The two had been staring at the ocean for 3 minutes in silence now, and Yusei decided to break it.

"Alright Rin, what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?" Yusei questioned his daughter as he turned his head left to look at Rin. The green haired female was silent as she continued to look at the ocean, before she turned to look at Yusei. "I… wanna become a Turbo Duelist". Rin confessed to her adopted father, making the Shooting Star of Satellite slightly widen his eyes in surprise.

Rin turned to look back at the ocean as she continued to speak. "Ever since I was a little girl, I've dreamed of riding on my Duel Runner, Turbo Dueling with my monsters. Yugo and I created a Duel Runner back in the Synchro Dimension, but it honestly felt more like Yugo's than mine. I accepted the fact that Duel Runner was his, but my dream of having my Duel Runner never disappeared. That's why I was hoping that you could help me make my own Duel Runner". The Witch of the Wind explained to Yusei about her childhood desire of having her own Duel Runner and to Turbo Duel someday.

Yusei was silent as he listened to Rin and felt the longing in her voice, making him realize how important her desire of having her own Duel Runner was to her. The Shooting Star of Satellite turned to look back at the ocean as he answered. "Rin… I don't know how things are in the Synchro Dimension, but in my world, there's an age restriction to have your own Duel Runners". Yusei told the 14-year-old girl, making her frown in sorrow that she might not get her own Duel Runner.

"However…" Yusei continued, getting Rin to look back at her adopted father in slight surprise. "From what I've heard, your friend Yugo has his own Duel Runner and is an experienced Turbo Duelist. If he could have his own Duel Runner, then I see no reason why you can't". The Shooting Star of Satellite finished, turning his head to look at Rin and gave her a smile.

Rin grew a hopeful smile on her face from Yusei's words, starting to get excited. "Then, does that mean…?" The Witch of the Wind questioned in excitement, which Yusei nodded to her. "I'll help you make your own Duel Runner". The Shooting Star of Satellite told his daughter, making Rin cry out in joy. "Yay!" The green haired female exclaimed in joy that her childhood dream will come true, holding her hands up in delight.

"But still…" Yusei suddenly said with his eyes narrowed, getting Rin to look at him in surprise. "Until you've proven to me that you can handle a Duel Runner completely, both in and out a Turbo Duel, you're not allowed to use it. Consider this my special Duel Runner Riding Exam". The Signer explained to the 14-year-old girl, getting her to smile in understanding.

"I understand. I just need to prove that I can handle a Duel Runner to you, right?" Rin said to her adopted father, which Yusei nodded to her. "Okay, I'll take your Duel Runner Riding Exam and ace it! I promise you that!" The Witch of the Wind exclaimed with a smirk, thrusting her right fist out to Yusei, making the Signer smirk.

"We'll see about that. The final exam is where you Turbo Duel and I'm your opponent". Yusei told the 14-year-old girl, making her smirk grow even bigger than before. "That just makes me want to ace it even more". Rin told her adopted father, making Yusei's smirk grow even bigger than before. The two turned back to look at the clear ocean, enjoying their time together.

(Flashback end)

Ever since then, Yusei and Rin have been working on creating a brand new Duel Runner. They've taken parts from Paradise City's junkyard and bought tires. They've made great progress and were almost close to completely completing it. All that was left was the pain job and the installation of the Duel system.

"It's going great. I've finished up the paint job and now all that's left is installing the Duel system". The Witch of the Wind told her family as she picked up her fork and knife, before she began eating her pancakes, missing Yusei's smile and Lulu's amused smile. "Really? Then after breakfast, I'll get to work on the finishing touches". Yusei said as he slowly grabbed his fork and knife, before he began eating his pancake.

Rin's smile grew even bigger than before, something that Lulu took notice of. "Looks like someone's happy". The Mistress of Birds stated with an amused smile on her face, getting Rin to look at her sister. "What do you expect? I'm about to get my own Duel Runner!" The Witch of the Wind exclaimed in excitement as she threw her hands into the air, making Lulu giggle at her sister.

"Remember, you're not allowed to drive it just yet". The Shooting Star of Satellite reminded his daughter, causing Rin to lose a bit of her excitement and grow a slightly embarrassed look. "Oh right. Sorry, I got carried away". The Witch of the Wind apologized, making Yusei chuckle a bit, before he pat her on the head with his right hand. "It's perfectly normal for you to be excited for something like this. You'll be able to ride your Duel Runner as much and anywhere you want soon, but just not yet". Yusei told his daughter as he lifted his hand off her head, getting Rin to smile at her adopted father.

Rin turned to look at her sister as Lulu took another bite of her pancake. "What about you Lulu?" The Witch of the Wind said to her sister, getting the Mistress of Birds to look at her sister with a confused look. "What are you talking about?" Lulu questioned in a confused tone, having no idea what Rin just meant.

"What do you think? I'm talking about you and Yuya". Rin answered as she gave her sister a teasing grin, making Lulu blush bright red at the subject change. Over the month they've spent here in the Standard Dimension, Lulu and Yuya have grown much closer to each other. Because of the two growing closer to each other, Rin, Gong and the kids would tease them a lot, resulting in the two's embarrassment.

"W-what about me and Yuya?" The Mistress of Birds questioned in a nervous tone, knowing full well what this was about. "Well? Have you guys had your first kiss yet?" The green haired girl asked her sister with a teasing smile, making Lulu's face flush bright red again, only this time with steam coming out of her head. Yusei just gave an amused chuckle, having always enjoyed seeing Rin embarrass her sister about his student.

"R-Rin! Please, just knock it off already!" Lulu exclaimed in embarrassment as she waved her hands in front of her. However, she then lost her embarrassed look and replaced it with one full of sadness as she looked to the side. "Besides, I don't think I'll ever be in a relationship again. Remember what happened to my last one?" The Mistress of Birds said in sadness, instantly getting Yusei and Rin to lose their amusement and replace it with pity for her.

Even though they've experienced joy and happiness in this dimension, Lulu still held deep sadness, both for her home dimension, and for the boy who broke her heart. But despite that, Yusei and Rin could see that her heart was beginning to heal thanks to Yuya. Whenever she was with the tomato haired boy, she'd lose the sadness in her eyes and it would be replaced with a joy that only came out when she was with Yuya.

"You can't keep letting what happened between you and your ex-boyfriend get to you. You've got a chance now with a new boy to experience happiness again. I know you haven't known Yuya for long, but you really seem happy with him". Rin said to her sister as she placed her left hand on Lulu's right shoulder, getting the purple haired girl to look at her.

"Rin's right. Whenever you're with Yuya, you seem really happy. It's as if your break up with Yuto never happened". Yusei remarked with narrowed eyes, getting Lulu to look at her father for a moment, before she looked down at her food. "You're right about that. Whenever I'm with him, it's like all my sadness disappears and is replaced by this warm feeling. It's like when I was with Yuto, but different". The Mistress of Birds confessed to her family, much to their curiosity as they stared at her.

"Out of curiosity, what's the difference between Yuya and your ex? And why do you like Yuya so much?" Rin asked her sister in a curious voice, getting Lulu to blush again. Gaining control over her blush as she took another bite of her pancakes, the Mistress of Birds began. "Yuya and Yuto are so similar, it's almost like they're twins. They both care about their friends, family and they don't want to hurt anyone. But then there's the difference. Ever since Duel Academy invaded, Yuto became cold, serious, stoic, calm and collected, and he refuses to show his emotion". Lulu began in a sad tone as she thought about the boy she loved in the past, and how he broke her heart by using Dueling to hurt people.

Lulu then grew a happy smile on her face with her cheeks slightly turning red. "Yuya's different than Yuto, and is honestly a bit like me. He's not afraid to show his emotions to anyone, even if that includes crying. He wants to grow, both as a person and as a Duelist, so that he can understand people better. And most of all, he loves Dueling with all his heart. He used to just make people smile, but now he wants to understand people and connect with them through Dueling. He wants to have fun with his opponents and most of all; he's learned to accept other people's views on Dueling and accepts them. That's one of the many reasons I…" The Mistress of Birds continued with her voice full of life, before she stopped and widened her eyes in shock, having lost control of herself upon talking about Yuya.

Yusei and Rin listened to Lulu careful as she explained the difference between Yuya and Yuto, and why she cared for the Shooting Star of Satellite's student. The moment that Lulu slipped up, Rin grew a massive grin on her face that spelled trouble, one that Yusei sweat dropped at. "What was that, Lulu? That's one of the reasons you what…?" The Witch of the Wind questioned her sister with a playfully evil voice, refusing to allow this chance to go to waste.

Lulu's cheeks grew red as she placed her hands over her mouth, trying to think up a solution to stop her sister's teasing. "I…I care about him greatly". Lulu said with an anime nervous look on her face and her eyes closed in a nervous manner. However, Rin wasn't a fool as she kept looking at her sister with a grin on her face. "That's bull crap and you know it, Lulu. You were gonna say love, weren't you?" Rin questioned her with left eyebrow raised, getting Lulu's cheeks to grow even more red than before.

Lulu shot up from her chair, before she spun around to look at Rin. "N-no! I… I don't feel the way about him! I've just known him for a month and a week now! There's no way I could fall for him that quickly!" The Mistress of Birds denied Rin's claim, before she turned around and began walking up to one of the two three seat couches facing the giant flat screen TV with surrounding sound system.

"People have fallen in love in a much shorter time, Lulu. Remember Romeo and Juliet?" The Witch of the Wind told her sister with a grin and her eyes closed, making Lulu stop dead in her tracks, along with her facing turning bright red with steam coming out of her face. Yusei watched his daughters with an amused smile on his face, but decided that they've messed around long enough now.

"Okay Rin, stop making fun of your sister". Yusei told the Windwitch Duelist, getting both Rin and Lulu to look at him. "We need to get ready to head towards You Show. The ARC System is barely holding on, and who knows when it'll break". The Shooting Star of Satellite added as he went back to his pancakes and continued eating at a short pace. Rin cracked another grin as she went back to her pancakes, while Lulu retook her seat.

"I'd bet you guys anything that Zuzu's short temper is what breaks it". The Witch of the Wind joked, before she began laughing with Lulu giggling. Even Yusei cracked a smile as he knew that out of Lulu, Rin and Zuzu, it was the pink haired girl that had the biggest temper out of all of them.

"Who knows? Right now, just enjoy your breakfast. Knowing Yuya, he's probably already started another Duel". Yusei told his girls, knowing his student had probably started another duel with Gong. "He'd better not. Or else I'm gonna put him on ice". Rin said with a playfully evil grin on her face, making both Yusei and Lulu sweat drop as she's grown a habit of making Yuya's life playfully miserable.

The three continued to eat their breakfast together, ready to take on the day. But what they didn't know was that today, the Standard Piece of Z-arc was going to make history.

(Opening song: Transformers Animated EVO)

"TRANSFORM!"

"AT THE EDGE OF THE DARKNESS, TEARING APART THE SILENCE"

The sky was dark as ocean waves were rolling off each other, before suddenly three Ancient Gear Reactor Dragons appeared and cut through the water, flying towards Duel Academy. They flew over the court of Duel Academy, where students were lined up, looking up at Aster Phoenix, who was looking down at them from a bench with the Tyler Sisters behind him.

"WHO IS THE ONE WAKING THE EARTH FROM ITS SLEEP?!"

In his office, Jean-Michel Roget was sitting at his desk, toying around with his chess pieces with a smug look on his face as he watched Sector Security arrest a man on a screen.

"BEFORE YOUR EYES ARE WICKED SOULS"

In his throne room, Leo Akaba stood up from his throne with Yuri and Zane Truesdale at his sides. Leo thrust out his right hand to the side at the army of Obelisk Force in front of him, which the army cheered for him and for Duel Academy. Leo turned around to face the Arc-V reactor behind him as he saw an image of Ray.

"THERE'S NOWHERE TO RUN, FACE THEM STRAIGHT ON!"

In the Standard Dimension, standing in front of the Leo Corporation tower was Yuya, Celina, Declan and Zuzu, all with narrowed eyes. They activated their Duel Disks as they summoned their ace monsters, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Saffira, Queen of Dragons, Lunalight Cat Dancer and D/D/D Duo-Dawn King Kali Yuga, before all three monsters fired blasts.

"SOMEONE TELLS ME TO ERASE MY "WEAKNESS" OR "FEAR"

In the Synchro Dimension on a Turbo Duel lane, Yugo and Rin rode their separate Duel Runners besides each other, before Arc-v Jack Atlast joined them on his Duel Runner. They all summoned their ace monsters; Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, Windwitch – Winter Bell and Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend. The three monsters flew besides their Duelists as they continued riding their Duel Runners.

"WE RECONSTRUCT OUR MINDS"

In the Xyz Dimension, Yuto appeared with Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon behind him, before they moved aside to reveal Lulu with her ace, Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale. The two moved aside to reveal Shay, who had his arms crossed, his scarf and sunglasses covering his face. His ace, Raidraptor – Rise Falcon appeared behind him, creating a gale that blew Shay's glasses off, revealing his hate filled eyes.

"TIGHTLY HOLD ONTO THAT HAND"

In the middle of a desert field road, Yusei spun his Duel Runner around twice before stopping in a sideways position. Yusei gave off one of his famous glares as he held up his right arm as his mark of the Crimson Dragon glowed.

"BELIEVE IN THE BONDS BETWEEN EACH OTHER"

In a multi-colored background, Yuya, Celina, Zuzu, Declan appeared in a stance with their ace monsters behind them. In a green background Yugo, Rin and Jack appeared, riding their Duel Runners with their ace monsters flying above them. In a black background Yuto, Lulu and Shay appeared in a combat stance with their ace monsters behind them. Yusei held up a white card with his right hand as a portal appeared behind him. Yusei's ace, Stardust Dragon flew out of the portal and roared.

"AND FIGHT!"

In a gold void, Ray clapped her hands together as if she was praying. Above her, the Crimson Dragon appeared and roared.

"TRANSFORM!"

"SO ALL I CAN DO"

In the Standard Dimension, Yuri smirked evilly as he activated his Duel Disk before he summon Starving Venom Fusion Dragon. Yuya stood a few feet away from his fusion counterpart with Odd-Eyes besides him, before the two dragons fired breath attacks at each other, creating a bright light.

"AND ALL YOU CAN DO"

The bright light died down to reveal the Xyz Dimension, where Yuto was battling against Zane with the two running across the streets. Both Duelists had their Duel Disks activated as they summoned their ace monsters. Zane summoned Cyber End Dragon, while Yuto summoned Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon. Cyber End Dragon fired three separate blasts from its three heads at Dark Rebellion, which the dragon charged with lightning surging through its fangs. Dark Rebellion made contact with Cyber End Dragon's attack, creating a bright light.

"FLAP YOUR WINGS! TRANSFORM"

The light disappeared to reveal the Synchro Dimension, where Sergey and Jack were Turbo Dueling aboard their Duel Runners. Sergey laughed crazily as Earthbound Servant Geo Grasha appeared above him with a dark aura. Jack narrowed his eyes as Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend appeared above him, before the dragon was surrounded in a crimson sphere. The sphere dispersed, creating a bright light.

"CHANGE THAT PIERCING RAGE IN YOUR HEART INTO POWER"

The light cleared to reveal the Fusion Dimension. In Duel Academy's courtyard, both Shay and Lulu were Dueling the Tyler Sisters. Grace and Gloria had Amazoness Pet Liger and Amazoness Empress on their field, while Shay and Lulu had Raidraptor – Rise Falcon and Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale on their field. The Obsidian twins held up their right arms as their ace monsters were covered in bright lights.

In Leo Akaba's throne room, the Professor of Duel Academy was Dueling his son. Leo had Master Spirit Tech Force - Pendulum Ruler while Declan had D/D/D Flame King Genghis, Gust King Alexander, Wave King Caesar and Doom King Armageddon on his field. The five monsters fired beams at each other, creating a burst of power.

"TRANSFORM!"

"NOW ALL I CAN DO"

Outside with the sky red, Supreme King Dragon Odd-Eyes, Supreme King Dark Rebellion, Supreme King Dragon Clear Wing and Supreme King Starving Venom all appeared.

"AND ALL YOU CAN DO"

Darkness appeared behind the four dragons, before it was blown away to reveal Supreme King Z-ARC, with the giant dragon roaring.

"SHINE ON! TRANSFORM!"

A black skin Z-arc appeared on the dragon's head, laughing as the dragon unleashed a blast from its mouth. Standing at Duel Academy's courtyard facing the direction of Supreme King Z-Arc was Shay, Jack, Declan, Leo, Aster, Zane, Yuya, Yuri, Yugo, Yuto, Rin, Lulu, Zuzu, Celina and the Tyler Sisters with their Duel Disks activated. Supreme King Z-ARC's attack stroke the ground, creating an explosion that blew them all away. Dust covered everything from view for a second before it cleared to reveal Yusei, who was holding back Supreme King Z-arc's attack with his right hand up with his mark blocking the attack.

"ON TO THE NEXT STAGE IN EVOLUTION"

Yusei gritted his teeth before he thrust his right arm out to the side, dispersing the attack. Above Yusei, the Crimson Dragon appeared as it roared, before it turned into flames.

"TOUCH AND GO!"

The flames transferred over to Yusei, forming armor that looked like the Crimson Dragon over Yusei, with even wings and a tail. Yusei narrowed his eyes as he spread his wings and took flight towards Supreme King Z-ARC, creating a bright light when he made contact.

When the light cleared, it revealed Yusei, Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, Rin, Celina, Lulu, Zuzu, Declan, Aster and Shay back in the Standard Dimension in the stadium. All the Duelists were smiling with Yugo jumping in the air with his right hand thrust out to the sky, while Lulu, Rin and Celina were hugging Yusei, who smiled at the three girls as he returned the hug.

(Song end)

In an old Japanese style village, cherry blossoms were falling down from the sky. Standing on a bridge was Gong, who had a grey body Standard Dimension Duel Disk with an orange blade, holding four cards with his left hand and was holding his right fist up. On his field were two monsters, Superheavy Samurai Blue Brawler and Superheavy Samurai Swordsman, both in DEF Mode.

Superheavy Samurai Blue Brawler DEF Points: 2000/ Level: 4.

Superheavy Samurai Swordsman DEF Points: 1800/ Level: 3.

Gong Life Points: 2600/ Number of cards in hand: 4.

Gong took one of the four cards in his left hand and held it up with his right hand's index and middle fingers. "It's time for Gong to quit playing around and get serious! And Gong will show that by playing the Tuner Monster, Superheavy Samurai Fist!" The Superheavy Samurai Duelist called out as he swiped his right hand onto his Duel Disk's blade, before swiping it out to the side. With a burst of light in front of Gong and between the two Superheavy Samurai monsters, the Tuner Monster, Superheavt Samurai Fist appeared, punching the air in front of it.

Superheavy Samurai Fist ATK Points: 900/ Level: 2.

"Now it's time for Blue Brawler and Swordsman to hit the road and say 'bye-bye' because Superheavy Samurai Fist is gonna give them a tune up!" Gong called out to the heavens as he swiped his right hand into the air. Both Blue Brawler and Swordsman flew into the air, while Fist turned into a flash of energy that transformed into two green rings. The green rings flew after the two Machine-type monsters, which the two lined up together.

The two green rings circled around Blue Brawler and Swordsman, scanning them with the two Machine-type monsters turning orange transparent as they were scanned. Blue Brawler transformed into 4 bright lights, while Swordsman turned into 3 bright lights. The lights lined up within the green rings, before a bright beam appeared and consumed the lights and rings.

"Gong Synchro Summons Superheavy Samurai Beast Kyubi!" Gong called out to the heavens as a white armoured, samurai machine monster with four legs, flames coming out of the back of his head and armor appeared. It was wielding a halberd-like weapon in its hands, which it spun around for a moment, before taking a hold of it with its right hand.

Superheavy Samurai Beast Kyubi DEF Points: 2500/ Level: 9.

To the side of the field, there was a square shape window that showed a mother and her child watching the Duel. The boy was a fair skinned young boy with blue hair and shoes. He wore a white short sleeved shirt and brown vest, along with a watch and short khaki pants. Finally, he had purplish-gray eyes. This young man's name was Tate. Tate's mother had darkish blue hair, had glasses and was wearing an emerald necklace and a yellow sweater. Her lower body was covered, hiding what she was wearing.

Tate gasped upon seeing Gong Synchro Summon, having never seen one before in his life. Gong spread his arms out to the side, looking up at the top of one of the buildings with the virtual moon shinning above it. "Alright Yuya, enough riding around…" The Superheavy Samurai Duelist began as he held up his right fist. "It's time to take center stage and show Gong what you're made of!" Gong finished, wanting to face his best friend with everything he had.

From behind the building, the monster, Performapal Hip Hippo, jumped onto the roof on the building with his Duelist, Yuya Sakaki riding on his back. But, Yuya looked completely different, having gone through a wardrobe change. Yuya was wearing a silvery white long sleeve and high collar open jacket that reached his wrists, over a red shirt. He had silvery white fingerless gloves on his hands, black track pants with white stripes to the side and black boots. The only thing that remained of his old outfit were his goggles and pendant.

On his left forearm was his new modified Duel Disk that Yusei had modified for him. Yuya's Duel Disk was now designed like Odd-Eyes Dragon's head with his deck in the mouth. The blade was now shaped and coloured just like one of Odd-Eyes' blades on his back. Ever since Yusei's Duel against the Sledgehammer, he's changed for the better, starting with the wardrobe change first. He's learned many strategies from Yusei, he even asked Yusei to give his Duel Disk a new look, asking him to redesign it to look like his ace monster, Odd-Eyes Dragon's head. It took 3 days, but eventually Yusei finished and give his student his new Duel Disk.

He has even changed his beliefs in Dueling a bit. He still believes it is meant to make people smile, but now believes it has another meaning. He now believed that Dueling is meant to bring people together, form new bonds with your opponents and to have fun. He's even learned to accept his opponent's view of Dueling, but still wishes for them to see what Dueling means to him now.

Right now in his Duel against Gong, Yuya only had Performapal Hip Hippo, two face down cards, two cards in hand and had 4000 Life Points.

Yuya Life Points: 4000/ Number of cards in hand: 2.

Performapal Hip Hippo ATK Points: 800/ Level: 3.

"Beast Kyubi can attack in DEF Mode, and can use his DEF Points for the battle instead of its ATK Points! Go Kyubi, attack that pink hippo!" Gong commanded his Synchro Monster as he thrust his right hand out. Beast Kyubi's flames burned hotter than before as it spun its halberd around, before grabbing ahold of it with his right hand and pointed it towards Hip Hippo. The Synchro Monster fired a stream of flames from its weapon towards the two. Yuya narrowed his eyes, before he jumped off of Hip Hippo's back, who let out a frightened cry, before he was struck by the stream of flames and exploded. (2500 – 800 = 1700)

Yuya Life Points: 4000 – 1700 = 2300.

Yuya fell to the bridge and landed in a forward roll to his feet. He lifted his head to look up at Gong and gave him a confident smirk. "Nice attack Gong, but Hip Hippo isn't done for the count yet! I activate the Trap card, Miracle's Wake!" The tomato haired boy called out as he swiped his left arm out to the side as a face down card appeared on his left, before it revealed itself to be the Trap card, Miracle's Wake.

"If a monster was destroyed this turn, Miracle's Wake can bring it back! So say hello again to Performapal Hip Hippo!" Yuya explained his Trap card's effect as the card glowed brightly, before Hip Hippo came out, looking downright jolly as he picked up his hat with his left hand and took a pose.

Performapal Hip Hippo ATK Points: 800/ Level: 3.

Hip Hippo floated down in front of Yuya on all four feet with his hat back on his head, while the tomato haired teenage boy rose up to his feet, still having a confident smile on his face, one that Gong returned. "For every Special Summoned monster ya got, Beast Kyubi gets 900 more DEF Points!" Gong told his best friend as a red aura surrounded Superheavy Samurai Beast Kyubi, increasing his DEF Points.

Superheavy Samurai Beast Kyubi DEF Points: 2500 + 900 = 3400.

"Gong ends his turn here. You're up, Yuya!" Gong declared his turn over, having nothing left to do.

Yuya Life Points: 2300/ Number of cards in hand: 2.

(Play Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V - Sound Duel 1 - 03. Yuya Sakaki's Theme)

Yuya placed his right hand's index, middle and thumb fingers on the top card of his deck with his eyes focused on Gong. "My turn now, I draw!" Yuya called out as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion by swiping his right hand out to the side, holding the card with his index, middle and thumb fingers.

The teenage boy looked through the corner of his right eye to see what he drew, before his confident smile grew bigger than before. "Just what I needed". Yuya said as he added the card to his hand, before he picked another one and held it up. "To start off, I'm Summoning Performapal Sword Fish to the field in ATK Mode!" Yuya called out as he swiped the card onto his Duel Disk's blade. A blue portal appeared on the ground in front of Yuya, before Performapal Sword Fish floated out of it.

Performapal Sword Fish ATK Points: 600/ Level: 2.

Yuya then picked up the card that he drew earlier and held it out to Gong, showing that it was a monster card. The image showed a rainbow hues Quetzalcoatl dragon flying in the air. "By selecting a Wind Attribute, Dragon-type or Performapal monster I control, I'm allowed to Special Summon this card. Come on out, Performapal Changeling Dragon!" The teenage boy exclaimed, before he placed the card onto the blade. A rainbow portal appeared besides him, before a rainbow hues Quetzalcoatl dragon flew out of it and into the air.

(Performapal Changeling Dragon/ Level: 1/ Attribute: Wind/ Type: Dragon/ Tuner/ Effect/ ATK Points: 0/ DEF Points: 0/ Effect: If this card is in your hand, select one Wind Attribute, Dragon-type or Performapal monster you control, then Special Summon this card. If this card was Summoned through its effect, you can change this card's level and name to the selected monster's.)

Superheavy Samurai Beast Kyubi DEF Points: 3400 + 900 = 4300.

"If Changeling Dragon was Summoned through his effect, I'm allowed to change his name and level to the monster I selected before I Summoned him. I selected Performapal Sword Fish, meaning Changeling Dragon becomes Performapal Sword Fish now!" Yuya explained his monster's effect as Changeling Dragon shined brightly, before he transformed into an exact copy of Performapal Sword Fish, only still having the rainbow hues around it.

Performapal Changeling Dragon = Performapal Sword Fish/ Level: 1 + 1 = 2.

"But they won't be sticking around for long. The now Level 2 Changeling Dragon tunes with Level 2 Performapal Sword Fish, and Level 3 Performapal Hip Hippo!" Yuya called out to the heaves as he thrust his right hand out, before swiping it into the air. Both Hip Hippo and Sword Fish flew into the air, while the rainbow hues Sword Fish reverted back into Changeling Dragon, before he transformed into two green rings.

The two rings chased after the two Performapal monsters, circling around them as they turned orange transparent, being scanned by the rings. Hip Hippo transformed into three lights, while Swordfish became two lights. The lights lined up in the green rings, forming five lights, before a bright beam appeared, absorbing them and the rings. "It's time to swing into action! I Synchro Summon the lovely, the amazing, the graceful skater, Odd-Eyes Skater!" Yuya called out to the heavens as a brand new monster leaped out of the beam of light and landed in front of him.

The new monster was a humanoid female monster that looked exactly like the Fusion Monster, Cyber Blade, but had a few differences. Her skin was a beautiful pale white colour, green replaced the red and crimson replaced the purple. She had a blue visor that hid her Heterochromia eyes, which were red and green, just like Odd-Eyes Dragon. She had long crimson hair that reached the back of her legs and a white showgirl skirt. Around her neck was a red scarf and attached to her forearms were two blades similar as a Blade Skater's blades.

(Odd-Eyes Skater/ Level: 7/ Attribute: Wind/ Type: Warrior/ Synchro/ Effect/ ATK Points: 2400/ DEF Points: 2000/ Requirements: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters/ Effect: When this card declares an attack on an opponent's monster, that monster's effects are negated until the end of the Damage Step. If this card battles a Special Summoned monster, that card's ATK is halved until the end of the Damage Step. When this card is destroyed, add one "Odd-Eyes" card from either your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.)

Superheavy Samurai Beast Kyubi DEF Points: 4300 – 900 = 3400.

Yuya swiped his right hand out and held it in front of him. "At this moment, I activate the Trap card, Synchro Strike!" The tomato haired boy called out as his remaining face down card revealed itself, before white energy came out and flew towards Odd-Eyes Skater. "This card powers up a Synchro Monster like Skater by 500 ATK Points for every Synchro Material used to Synchro Summon it! Since three monsters were used as Synchro Material, Odd-Eyes Skater gains 1500 ATK Points!" Yuya explained his Trap card's effect as the white energy surrounded Odd-Eyes Skater and transformed into an aura that surrounded her.

Odd-Eyes Skater ATK Points: 2400 + 1500 = 3900.

Yuya then picked the last card in his hand with his right hand's index and middle fingers, before he held it up, showing Gong what it was. It was a Spell card with the image showing a orange metal shield with the determination symbol on it with a single blade coming out of it. "Now I'll activate the Equip Spell, Determine Shield!" The teenage boy called out, before he slotted the card into his Duel Disk.

(Determine Shield/ Type: Equip Spell/ Effect: The equipped monster gains 300 ATK and can deal piercing damage. If the equipped monster destroys an opponent's DEF Position monster, it can declare a second attack, but if it is a direct attack, it loses 1000 ATK.)

The Equip Spell appeared on the field, before an orange beam shot out of it and flew towards Skater's left forearm. The beam struck, but didn't harm Skater as it formed into the same shield on the Spell card's image over the blade. "First, this Equip Spell gives Skater a 300 ATK Point boost…!" Yuya began to explain his Spell's effect as Skater's ATK Points went up.

Odd-Eyes Skater ATK Points: 3900 + 300 = 4200.

"But the best part of this little accessory is that it grants the monster it's equipped to, the power to deal piercing damage!" The tomato haired boy finished, before swiping his right hand out and pointed towards Superheavy Samurai Beast Kyubi with his index finger. "Skater, skate towards Beast Kyubi and tame him!" Yuya commanded his Synchro Monster, which Skater brought her hands up above her, before she began spinning at an incredible speed.

"When Skater attacks an opponent's monster, that monster's abilities are negated! Meaning Superheavy Samurai Beast Kyubi's DEF Points return to normal!" The tomato haired boy told his best friend his Synchro Monster's special ability as Odd-Eyes Skater blew a gust of wind at Kyubi, causing his flames to die down a little bit.

Superheavy Samurai Beast Kyubi DEF Points: 3400 – 900 = 2500.

She levitated off the ground, before she flew around the field, then towards Kyubi's face. Kyubi swung his halberd at the approaching Odd-Eyes Skater, while she spun her right foot out. The blade of Skater's skate collided against Kyubi's halberd, before the Machine-type monster's weapon was snapped off. Skater continued on and sliced Kyubi's armor with her skate's blade, slicing right through it and causing the Machine-type monster to explode, while Skater jumped back to Yuya's side. (4200 – 2500 = 1700)

Gong Life Points: 2600 – 1700 = 900.

The explosion was so powerful that it shook the ARC System underneath the Action Field. Gong looked over his right shoulder to stare at where his Synchro Monster was destroyed, before he looked back at Yuya and saw his confident smile that he still had. "And here comes the best part, Determine Shield's final effect. When the equipped monster destroys an opponent's DEF Position monster, it can declare a second attack!" Yuya told his best friend with a confident voice, making Gong widen his eyes in shock.

"Say what!?" The Superheavy Samurai Duelist exclaimed in shock, while Odd-Eyes Skater held up her left arm as the blade came out of her shield. "That's right! But if this attack is a Direct attack, she loses 1000 ATK Points". Yuya replied to his old friend as Odd-Eyes Skater's ATK Points went down a bit.

Odd-Eyes Skater ATK Points: 4200 – 1000 = 3200.

"That's still enough to end this duel. Skater, how about an encore?!" The tomato haired boy called out as he held his right hand out. Skater brought up her left arm to the side, before she swiped it down, hurling orange energy in the shape of a slash towards Gong. The Superheavy Samurai Duelist cried out as the attack drew closer to him, before it eventually struck and created an explosion that blew him off his feet.

Gong Life Points: 900 – 3200 = 0.

Winner: Yuya!

(Music end)

Meanwhile, in another room, Zuzu was sitting down on a chair in front of a circuit board, watching the Duel. However, her wardrobe had changed, just like Yuya's had. Zuzu was now wearing a white fitted sleeveless shirt with a collar and a red tie with a green music note on the left. It was tucked into a short fitted red skirt with navy over the knee stockings with white patterned trim at the top and pink combat boots. She also wore a sheer white sleeveless open jacket and a brown belt. All that remained of her previous outfit was her bracelet around her right hand's wrist.

Electricity started coming out of the circuit board's keyboard, before the screen exploded, much to Zuzu's horror as the whole thing began letting out explosions. The door burst open and Skip rushed in, looking horrified at what was happening to the circuit board. "Zuzu!? What did you do?" The principal questioned his daughter in horror, getting the pink haired girl to look at him.

"I didn't do anything! Yuya must have overloaded the ARC System with that attack of his!" Zuzu told her father, having learned a bit of mechanics from Yusei in secret when he was teaching Rin. That didn't ease Skip's horror, only increased it as he placed his hands on both sides of his head. "That doesn't make it any better! If this ARC System is destroyed, our Duel School's finished!" The principal exclaimed as the circuit board exploded more, before ARC System overheated and shut down.

Back in the Action Field, the ARC System underneath the field began shutting down. The Action Field and Odd-Eyes Skater started glitching, before they disappeared, revealing the You Show Duel School's Dueling arena. Yuya was standing up in the field, while Gong crashed onto the ground on his back, having been sent flying from Odd-Eyes Skater's attack.

Yuya looked around with wide eyes, before he looked down at the ground and at the Arc System underneath. 'Well that's not good. This thing was barely holding on, but those last attacks must have finally wrecked it. The Principal is not going to like this'. The tomato haired boy thought to himself with half lidded eyes, before he noticed something.

At the window screen, the boy Tate was staring at him with wide eyes of curiosity and amazement. Yuya gave a small smile, before he gave Tate and his mother a bow. Yuya turned his attention to Gong, before he began walking over to help him up.

(Standard Dimension Spirit World)

In a Standard Dimension Spirit World, the sun shined high in the sky. In this universe, the United World had its own Spirit World just like Yusei's world. Just like how the United World was split into four, the original Spirit World was split into four different Spirit Worlds. The Standard dimension's Spirit World held all kinds of monsters, like Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Ritual monsters living in it.

In the Fusion Dimension Spirit World, Fusion Monsters lived in that world. In the Synchro Dimension Spirit World, Synchro Monsters lived in that world. Finally, Xyz Monsters lived in the Xyz Dimension's Spirit World. These monsters that lived in the four separate worlds were the monsters that the duelists in the four separate worlds live in. In a faraway place in the Standard Dimension Spirit World, was an island for a special group of Duel Spirits. The island was far away from the mainland of the Standard Spirit World, having been created by the Crimson Dragon himself for Yusei's monsters to live in during their stay in the Standard Dimension's Spirit World and was very large.

On the island, there was a galaxy highway over a starlight city, a dark forest and mountains nearby. In the starlight city, Yusei's monsters all lived in peace, enjoying the temporarily peace that was granted to them, until the battle against Duel Academy resumes.

In the forest with the garden, Lulu and Rin's Lyrilusc and Windwitch monsters were flying around, enjoying themselves, but were playing magic tricks on each other. Just like their mistresses, they had been rescued from the Fusion Dimension's Spirit World by Yusei's monsters, and have become close friends with them. Two certain monsters of the two spices had grown a relationship with a certain monster, one similar as their mistresses' one with the other monster's master.

On an edge of one of the mountains, Stardust Dragon was looking down at the starlight city and forest with a pleased look on his face. Just like Yusei, he had built a life here in the Standard Dimension, and had created bonds with a few monsters of this world. He has even taken on a student, just like Yusei, and the student was someone he had wanted to see ever since he saw the Supreme King Dragon Z-arc.

Feeling the edge of the mountain shake and a presence suddenly appear behind him, Stardust Dragon looked over his right shoulder to see Odd-Eyes Advance Dragon right behind him. The Dragon-type monster gleamed as he changed forms into Odd-Eyes Dragon, before he looked up at the Signer Dragon in front of him.

Stardust Dragon turned around to face the smaller dragon in the eye. The two were silent as they gazed into each other's eyes, before Odd-Eyes Dragon knelt down to Stardust Dragon and lowered his head. "Master". The Standard piece of the Supreme King Dragon said to the Signer Dragon, revealing that it was him that was Stardust's student. The Signer Dragon grew a smile on his snot, before he flew slightly above the ground and over to his student.

He placed his left claw on top of Odd-Eyes' head, getting the Dragon-type monster to look up at his master and saw his reassuring smile. "I told you, there's no need to bow your head to me. Neither of us are above each other, we're both equals, remember that?" Stardust Dragon reminded his student, which Odd-Eyes Dragon nodded to his master with a grin.

The Signer Dragon lifted his hand from Odd-Eyes Dragon's head and flew back a bit. Odd-Eyes Dragon rose up from his kneeling position and lifted his head to look at his teacher. Stardust let out a sigh as he stared at his student's eyes, which were once filled with hatred for the world, but were now filled with trust and love. As he stared into his student's eyes, the Signer Dragon thought back to their first meeting.

(Flashback to a month ago)

Stardust Dragon was flying in the air above a lush green forest with no destination in mind. It has been a week since him and the rest of his comrades, along with the Lyrilusc and Windwitch creatures had arrived in this dimension's Spirit World, and 2 days since his and Yusei's battle against the Sledgehammer.

During Yusei's time in the Fusion Dimension, him and the rest of his comrades had their own mission to accomplish. Like how Yusei rescued Lulu and Rin, they had rescued their monsters, the Windwitch and Lyrilusc creatures and took them to safety on an island that his lord had created for them in the Fusion Dimension. It was there that he had met the ace monsters of the two girls that his Duelist had saved from Duel Academy.

He met Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale and Windwitch – Winter Bell. To his surprise though, the two were as young as their mistresses. Winter Bell, like Rin, had assumed that he was from the Synchro Dimension since he was a Synchro Monster like her, until he told her that he wasn't from her home dimension.

He revealed to them the truth about the United World, the four dimensions, the four dragons and their Duelists, much to Nightingale and Winter Bell's disbelief upon learning that their mistresses were once one person that was split into four. He learned that just like their duelists, the two female monsters had a history with the dragon pieces of their dimension. Winter Bell knew Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, and to Stardust's surprise, learned that the Synchro piece of the Supreme King was actually a female the whole time. She and Clear Wing were best friends and had high hopes that their Duelists would end up together.

Nightingale, just like Lulu, had a relationship with the Xyz piece, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon. And just like how Yuto did to Lulu, Dark Rebellion broke her heart. The two had meet through Nightingale's older brother, Raidraptor – Rise Falcon, and had grown close to each other. The two had started a relationship like their Duelists, but didn't cross the final step, wanting to see how their relationship goes before they decide to become mates.

When the Ancient Gear and Fusion Monster forces invaded their home, it was just like with their Duelists as Nightingale didn't want to fight to cause pain. Dark Rebellion and Rise Falcon, like their duelists, had attempted not to fight their enemies to destroy, but eventually after losing someone important to him, Dark Rebellion snapped. He literally ripped through the Ancient Gear and Fusion monster forces with no concern, even tearing through his allies. The worst part, he had no remorse, no shame and no pity for those he destroyed.

Just like Lulu, Nightingale's heart shattered at seeing the Xyz Dragon destroy with no hint of remorse. She had flew away from the sight as far as she could. Eventually, she and Dark Rebellion had a talk, where Nightingale broke off their relationship. To her surprise, Dark Rebellion had no problem with it as he left very quickly, shattering Nightingale's heart even more than before.

A few weeks passed and then Lulu was captured, and sent to the Fusion Dimension. Bounded with their Duelist, Nightingale and her fellow Lyrilusc sisters were transported to the Fusion Dimension Spirit World, where they were guarded by the Fusion Dimension's forces, along with meeting the Windwitches. They were kept prisoners there, just like their Duelists, unable to leave. However, soon they were both rescued by Stardust and his comrades.

Upon learning what happened between her and Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, Stardust felt great pity for Nightingale and Winter Bell. He decided to take the two under his care, just like how Yusei took Lulu and Rin under his. During their time together, the Signer Dragon grew to care for Nightingale and Winter Bell like they were his daughters. It was just like with Yusei, Lulu and Rin, the three Duel Monsters had become a family with the two female monsters confessing that they have begun to see Stardust like their father.

Like them, Stardust's comrades became close friends with the Windwitch and Lyrilusc monsters. They've all lived on the island in peace with any of them free to venture out to explore the Standard Dimension Spirit World. Out of all of them, it seemed like him, Nightingale and Windwitch were the ones that ventured out the most. He ventured out to explore the world, while Winter Bell ventured out to visit some friends she made in their time here.

Nightingale's reasons for venturing out of the island were unknown as she's kept them hidden. Stardust would have normally questioned what her reasons were, but every time she came back to the island, she always had a happy smile on her face and seemed to have forgotten about the Dimensional War. After seeing her beginning to recover, Stardust decided to leave Nightingale be and enjoy herself.

Right now, Stardust was flying around to enjoy himself. But if he was honest with himself, he was searching for his secret mission to find the Standard piece of the Supreme King Z-ARC, Odd-Eyes Dragon. Ever since he saw Odd-Eyes Dragon, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon and Starving Venom Fusion Dragon merge with Zarc, he's had this desire to meet them all and use one of his new powers on them.

One of his lord's gifts to him had been designed just for them, and he was eager to use it. He had met Starving Venom Fusion Dragon in the Fusion Dimension, but he wasn't eager to sit down and chat. The moment they made eye contact, the Fusion Monster had downright attacked him with hostile intent. Of course, Stardust had defeated him, but before he could use his new powers, more Ancient Gear forces had arrived and he was forced to retreat.

Now that he was in the Standard Dimension Spirit World, he was taking the chance to search for the Standard piece of the Supreme King Z-ARC, Odd-Eyes Dragon, but still no luck. He has been searching the whole Spirit World, but hasn't even found the younger dragon yet. 'Finding the youngling has proven to be more difficult than I bargained for. But I can't give up just yet. I need to find Odd-Eyes Dragon'. The leader of the Signer Dragon thought to himself with conviction, refusing to give up his quest to find Odd-Eyes Dragon.

Suddenly, a sparkle of red shined in the corner of his right eye, getting Stardust to stop mid-air. He looked towards the right and, to his surprise, saw Odd-Eyes Dragon standing in an open flower field. Stardust Dragon widened his eyes in disbelief as he fully turned around to look at the Standard piece of the Supreme King, who seemed to be waiting for something as he looked both left and right.

The Signer Dragon narrowed his eyes, before he took his chance. He flew down to the open flower field and crash landed on his feet behind Odd-Eyes. The rather loud landing caught Odd Eyes' attention as he shot around to look at who it was, before he widened his eyes in shock upon seeing it was Stardust Dragon.

Stardust Dragon walked up to Odd-Eyes Dragon with the shorter dragon looking up at the Signer Dragon in awe. Stardust Dragon looked down into the eyes of the standard piece of the Supreme King Z-ARC with narrowed eyes, as if he was looking into his soul. "You're... Stardust Dragon!?" Odd-Eyes Dragon exclaimed in surprise to see the Signer Dragon, who knelt down to the ground, before he scratched the ground with his right claw. Suddenly, a glowing scratch wound appeared on Odd-Eyes' stomach, making the smaller dragon growl in pain as darkness erupted out of his wound.

Stardust repeated his action, causing more scratch wounds to appear with more darkness with Odd-Eyes closing his eyes in pain. The Signer Dragon repeated his action one final time as more glowing wounds appeared on Odd-Eyes' body with the darkness coming out. The darkness merged together and formed the head of Supreme King Z-ARC, who unleashed a terrifying roar at Stardust Dragon, but the Signer Dragon showed no fear.

Stardust Dragon took a deep breath, before he unleashed an earthshaking roar far more powerful than the Supreme King Z-arc's roar. The roar was so powerful that it blew the darkness away and disintegrated it.

With the darkness gone, Odd-Eyes collapsed to the ground. Stardust Dragon looked down at the unconscious dragon, looking as if he was smiling. "You're free now, youngling". The Signer Dragon told the unconscious dragon, before he knelt down in front of him. "Now, what were you doing here?" Stardust questioned in a curious voice, wondering why the younger dragon was here in this flower field.

Sensing a presence approaching, Stardust Dragon raised his head and looked at the sky. Soon, a familiar Duel Monster flew into sight, making Stardust Dragon widen his eyes in surprise upon seeing who it was. "Nightingale!" The Signer Dragon exclaimed in shock to see the female that he's grown to love as a daughter, here.

Like Stardust, Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale had wide eyes as she looked down at the Synchro Monster from the sky. "Stardust!? What are you doing here?" The Xyz Monster questioned her adopted father in surprise, having thought he was exploring the Spirit World somewhere else. Stardust opened his mouth to answer, but then Nightingale noticed Odd-Eyes Dragon lying down on the ground, unconscious.

She gasped in horror as she covered her mouth with her wing covered hands. "Odd Eyes!" Nightingale exclaimed in concern as she flew down towards the red armoured dragon and landed besides his face. Stardust looked at his adopted daughter with wide eyes as she gently picked up Odd-Eyes' head and placed it on her lap. The Xyz Monster stared down at the Dragon-type monster's face in concern, before she raised her head and looked at the Signer Dragon with a frown on her face.

"What happened to him? Did you do something to Odd-Eyes?" Nightingale questioned her adoptive father in a protective tone, much to his fascination. The Signer Dragon could clearly see in Nightingale's eyes the protectiveness she had for Odd-Eyes, yet it raised the question on how the two knew each other. Stardust Dragon shook his head at his adoptive daughter, answering her question.

"Don't worry, he's unharmed. I've only purified him from the Supreme King's darkness". Stardust told the Xyz Monster as he walked over to Nightingale and Odd-Eyes, before he knelt down in front of them. Nightingale widened her eyes in hope, before she looked down at Odd-Eyes Dragon's face. "You've cured him of Z-arc's darkness? Is that even possible?" The Winged Beast Xyz Monster questioned in a hopeful voice, getting Stardust Dragon to look up at her face, getting even more curious at how she knew Odd-Eyes.

"It is. It appears that one of my lord's gifts to me was the power to purify the darkness inside Odd-Eyes, Dark Rebellion, Clear Wing and Starving Venom. To be honest, this was my first time using my new power". The Signer Dragon told his adoptive daughter, before turning to look down at Odd-Eyes' face. "It seems like my power worked its magic. I can no longer feel the darkness of the Supreme King inside of him". Stardust Dragon added, getting Nightingale to smile in relief as she placed her left wing hand on Odd-Eyes' cheek.

"Thank goodness. Now, he can live his life without any influence from that monster". The Xyz Monster said in relief for the Dragon-type, getting Stardust Dragon to raise his head to look at her. "I've answered your question, now answer mine". The Signer Dragon requested from Nightingale, getting her to look up at him and saw his curious look. "How do you know Odd-Eyes? You're acting as if he's been your friend for some time now. Have you two met before?" Stardust Dragon questioned his adoptive daughter, getting her to widen her eyes upon realization.

Instead of panicking, Nightingale grew a soft and happy smile on her face as she looked down at the Standard piece of the Supreme King. "I met Odd-Eyes sometime after we arrived in this dimension. We met when the moon hung in the air. I was practicing singing a new song of mine. I was so caught up in practice that I didn't notice that I had an audience. When I finished my new song, I was applauded, much to my surprise. I turned to look at who caught me singing, only to instantly be willed with fear upon seeing it was Odd-Eyes Dragon…" The Xyz Monster began, laying her right wing hand against the Dragon-type's face, gazing upon him with a smile.

Stardust Dragon listened and watched Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale greatly, getting more curious as he saw no hint of fear in her eyes as she continued her story. "Yet, you're showing no fear now". The Signer Dragon stated, getting Nightingale to give a small chuckle. "At first, I was so scared of him that my legs and mouth couldn't even move. Odd-Eyes noticed my discomfort and actually apologized for startling me. At first, I was honestly a bit surprised as he showed kindness and care for me. Eventually, we introduced ourselves to each other. He noticed that I was a bit nervous around me, so he told me that he'd leave me alone. But he told me that he'd like to hear me sing again and if it was alright with me, asked me to come back here the next day". The Xyz Monster began with a fond smile on her face, thinking back to when she met the Standard piece of the Supreme King.

"Later on that night, I couldn't stop thinking about him. He just didn't seem like the monster that hurt so many humans, and was feared in the United World. You could say that I was curious, so I decided to go back and see him tomorrow. To my surprise, he was already there when I arrived, and he acted like a child on Christmas when he saw me. We got to know each other a lot that day, and I realized that was the real Odd-Eyes Dragon, not the one that became the Supreme King Dragon Z-ARC. Ever since then, I've gone to meet with him weekly". Nightingale finished with a smile, but Stardust was saw her cheeks slightly flushed, much to his further fascination.

"…Is he the reason why you leave the island? To see him?" The Synchro Dragon questioned the Xyz Monster, getting Nightingale to lift her head to look up at him and nod. "Yes, that's why I leave the island. Odd-Eyes and I have become close friends, just like Lulu and Yuya". The Xyz Monster answered her adoptive father, who continued to stare at her in fascination.

A groan had caught both their attention as they looked down at Odd-Eyes' face and saw him beginning to wake up. He groaned as he opened his right red eye, before he gasped as he shot up from the Xyz Monster and leaped back 10 feet away, much to Nightingale and Stardust's surprise. The Dragon-type monster breathed at a fast rate as he looked down at his chest and placed his claws on it. "…It… it's gone. Z-arc's darkness is no more". Odd-Eyes said with disbelief in his voice, causing both Stardust and Nightingale to widen their eyes in surprise.

Stardust Dragon rose to his feet, before he turned to face the Standard piece of the Supreme King. "You remember your old master, and your combined form?" The Signer Dragon questioned Odd-Eyes Dragon, but was really stating a fact. The Dragon-type monster looked up at Stardust Dragon and nodded to him, no form of anger, hatred or darkness in his eyes.

"Yes. Whatever you did to me, it somehow restored my memories as well. My memories of Z-arc, my brothers and sister were sealed away because of those Nature cards, but at last, they've been freed". The Dragon-type monster told his fellow Dragon-type monster, much to Stardust's curiosity upon catching something he said. "Your brothers and sister?" Stardust Dragon questioned Odd-Eyes Dragon, although he had a pretty good idea who they were.

Odd-Eyes Dragon nodded to the Signer Dragon, before he looked down in sadness upon thinking about his siblings. "That's right, my brothers; Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon and Starving Venom Fusion Dragon. And our sister, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon". The Standard piece of the Supreme King told the Signer Dragon, revealing his hidden connection to the other three dragons that rained down destruction on the United World.

Nightingale widened her eyes in surprise upon hearing Odd-Eyes revealing Dark Rebellion was his brother, while Stardust Dragon narrowed his eyes. "I see. So, tell me? Now that you have your memories of the United Dimension, your old master and siblings back, what will you do now? Will you attempt to bring the Supreme King back into existence?" Stardust Dragon questioned the young dragon, his tone deadly serious to show how personal this was. Odd-Eyes Dragon lowered his head with his eyes showing untold guilt.

"No… I don't wish to become that… monstrosity again". The Dragon-type monster answered the Signer Dragon, which took Stardust and Nightingale back at how guilty he sounded. "Why is that?" Stardust questioned his fellow dragon, wanting to hear from him why he didn't wish to become the Supreme King again. Odd-Eyes Dragon remained silent as he continued to stare down at the ground, before he lifted it up to look up at the Signer Dragon.

"My time with Yuya was much like how my time with Z-arc was, before things changed. I was consumed with anger at the humans for wishing violet battles where we hurt each other. Even now, it still fills me with rage at thinking about their cheers at such pain. But, my time with Yuya has greatly calmed me. Yet, I still worry about Yuya and if a similar fate will befall him". Odd-Eyes Dragon said in concern and in guilt, concerned for Yuya and guilt for his past actions. Stardust Dragon looked at the younger dragon in understanding, knowing that he'd be greatly concerned for Yusei if something similar happened to him.

"Do not worry. My master, Yusei, will look after Yuya. He will make sure that he will not follow the same path as Z-arc. You have my word". The Signer Dragon told his fellow dragon, causing Odd-Eyes to grow a hopeful expression. "Truly?" The heterochromia eyed dragon asked in a hopeful tone, which Stardust nodded to him, causing Odd-Eyes to sigh in relief. "Thank goodness". The Dragon-type monster said in relief, relived to hear that his new master won't end up like his old master.

"And what of you? What sort of life do you wish to live?" The Signer Dragon questioned the younger dragon with narrowed eyes, getting Odd-Eyes to snap his head in his direction, before he lowered it in uncertainty. "I… I… I don't know". The young dragon answered in an uncertain tone, getting Stardust Dragon to narrow his eyes at him. "And why is that?" Stardust Dragon questioned Odd-Eyes once more, wanting to know why that was his answer.

"I wish to battle alongside Yuya and bring smiles, but I'm afraid that because of me, the cycle that started Z-ARC on his path will begin again for Yuya. I was the one that first hurt a duelist in the United World, thus I'm responsible for what happened to my master". Odd-Eyes confessed to the Signer Dragon, revealing that he felt guilty for what happened to his master and that he felt responsible.

Nightingale gave her friend a deeply concerned look at his confession, while Stardust Dragon looked at him with a natural expression. All was silent for a few moments, until Stardust Dragon broke the silence. "That settles it. From this day forth, you are my student now". The Signer Dragon told his fellow Dragon-type monster, getting both Nightingale and Odd-Eyes to look at him in shock. "Father!?" The Xyz Monster exclaimed in surprise at her adoptive father's words, honestly a bit shocked.

Stardust Dragon ignored his adoptive daughter and walked up to Odd-Eyes Dragon, who was shorter than him. "I will help you move on from your past, and become both a better dragon, and partner to Yuya". Stardust Dragon told the young dragon, getting him to stare up at the Signer Dragon in disbelief. "You would… accept me?" Odd-Eyes said in disbelief, having thought that Stardust would want nothing to do with him since he knew of his past actions and hurt so many people.

"The very fact that you're showing guilt for your past actions is proof that you're not a monster. That is the reason why I want to take you under my wing, and help you. Not just you, but your brothers and sister. I wish to help you all move on from your past". Stardust Dragon answered Odd-Eyes with pure conviction, showing that he was serious about his decision.

Odd-Eyes continued to stare up at Stardust Dragon in disbelief for a few moments, before he began crying tears of joy and disbelief. "Thank you… thank you". Odd-Eyes thanked the Signer Dragon repeatedly as he lowered his head, getting Stardust Dragon to give him a gentle smile. The Synchro Monster raised his left claw and placed it atop Odd-Eyes' head, before he then gave a comforting rub. "There is no need to bow your head. This is what I want as well". Stardust Dragon told his fellow dragon in a comforting voice to help Odd-Eyes, but he continued to cry in happiness.

Nightingale watched her adoptive father and friend with a soft smile on her face, happy to see that Stardust wished to help him. She hoped that this was the beginning of a beautiful relationship between teacher and student.

(Flashback end)

And a beautiful relationship between teacher and student it has become. Stardust has taught Odd-Eyes greatly as he was no longer hunted by his past, and has instead accepted it and has moved on. Stardust has even given him permission to come to the island whenever he wanted. Even their friendship has grown largely as Odd-Eyes called Stardust his master, even though the Signer Dragon told him it was not necessary.

Odd-Eyes have met all the other Duel Spirits of the island, including Nightingale's fellow Lyrilusc sisters and the Windwitches. Windwitch – Winter Bell, just like how Rin teased Lulu and Yuya, teased Nightingale and Odd-Eyes about liking each other. The two would always blush at her teasing, while Stardust would always burst out laughing. Over time, Odd-Eyes and Nightingale got used to Winter Bell's teasing, but would still get embarrassed about it as they always blushed.

A month has passed since Stardust and Odd-Eyes had met, and it has lead to here. "Is everything alright Odd-Eyes?" Stardust questioned his student as he turned to look back at the starlight city and forest. "Of course. Why do you ask?" The younger dragon answered his teacher as he walked up behind the taller dragon and looked down at the starlight city. "You visited yesterday. Normally, you'd rest as in your words, 'it's such a pain in the neck to run across water', correct?" Stardust said with an amused smirk on his face, getting Odd-Eyes to groan at his master memorizing his words.

Odd-Eyes lifted his head and looked up at his master with concern visible in his eyes. "I feel as if something will happen today. Something that will change history". The Dragon-type monster confessed to his master, getting Stardust Dragon to look over his left shoulder to look at his student. "A premonition". The Signer Dragon stated, getting a confused look from his student.

"A premonition?" Odd-Eyes said in confusion, having never heard of that word before, also getting Stardust to sweat drop. "It means you have a strong feeling that something is about to happen. It is commonly known that something bad will happen, but perhaps we can take advantage of it". Stardust Dragon explained to his student the meaning of the word 'premonition', receiving a slightly concerned look from him.

"You don't think one of my siblings is here, do you?" Odd-Eyes questioned his master in concern, not ready yet to face them. "No, they're not here yet. I haven't sense any dimensional disturbances". The Synchro Monster reassured his student, getting the younger dragon to sigh in relief. "But perhaps whatever is about to happen can help you build up the last bit of confidence you needed. You've come far, and have almost completed your training. There is just one last test left". Stardust Dragon told the younger dragon, getting Odd-Eyes to stare at his master in confusion.

"One last test? What is it?" Odd-Eyes Dragon asked his master what his last test was, getting the Signer Dragon to chuckle. "You will find the answer to your own question soon. For now, just spend this time with Nightingale". Stardust Dragon told his student as he held his right hand out down below, getting Odd-Eyes Dragon curious on what he was gesturing to. The Dragon-type monster walked up to the edge of the mountain and looked down. He saw Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale in an open flower field, singing a song to her Lyrilusc sisters, who were all listening to her sing respectfully.

Odd-Eyes Dragon turned to look back up at his master and bowed his head in respect. "Please excuse me, master?" The Dragon-type monster requested, before he leaped off the edge of the mountain and began falling down to the ground. Stardust Dragon looked over the edge and watched his student fall into the forest and disappeared from view. The Signer Dragon gave a small chuckle as he looked up at the sky. "Are you sure he can be trusted?" A powerful voice questioned the leader of the Signer Dragons, getting Stardust Dragon to narrow his eyes.

Stardust Dragon turned around and lifted his head up to see the flying form of Ascension Sky Dragon. Stardust Dragon gave another small chuckle as he looked down. "You haven't changed at all, old friend". The leader of the Signer Dragons stated as he turned back around to look down at the starlight city and forest. The Light Synchro Dragon narrowed his eyes as he flew down next to his old friend and landed besides him.

Ascension Sky Dragon is a Signer Dragon, just like Stardust Dragon and they were old friends that served underneath the Crimson Dragon along with the other Signer Dragons. Ascension Sky Dragon actually used to be the leader of the Signer Dragons before Stardust Dragon, but he had always planned to make him his successor. The two had worked together and eventually, Ascension Sky Dragon officially named him his successor and Stardust Dragon became the new leader of the Signer Dragons.

One day, after a fierce battle against the Earthbound Immortals, Ascension Sky Dragon had disappeared and everyone no idea where he had gone. Stardust Dragon, Black Rose Dragon, Red Dragon Archfiend, Ancient Fairy Dragon, Black-Winged Dragon and Life Stream Dragon had shed tears for their comrade and old leader, even the Crimson Dragon was sad for his old friend.

A thousand years had passed, Ancient Fairy Dragon had been captured and Life Stream Dragon had disappeared mysteriously after the battle against the Earthbound Immortals so long ago. Eventually, thanks to Leo and Luna, both Life Stream Dragon and Ancient Fairy Dragon had returned to them. After the battle against the Timelords and his new mission given to him by his lord, Stardust Dragon knew that his 'death' would cause suffering to his fellow Signer Dragons, but still journeyed to this new world with his comrades.

To his surprise in his short time in the Fusion Dimension Spirit World, Stardust had found his old friend and mentor, Ascension Sky Dragon there. It turned out, the clash against the Earthbound Immortals had somehow sent him to the Spirit World of the United World, and had witnessed the fall of the Supreme King Dragon Z-ARC with his own hands. The Crimson Dragon had come across him during his time making an island in the Synchro Dimension.

Both Ascension Sky Dragon and the Crimson Dragon were both overjoyed to see each other again. The embodiment of the Dragon Star told his old friend everything that had happened and about the new mission he's placed upon Stardust Dragon and his new Signer. The old leader of the Signer Dragons understood the situation and requested to fight besides his old pupil again, which the Crimson Dragon granted and transported Ascension Sky Dragon to Stardust, along with adding his card to Yusei's deck.

The former master and pupil had caught up on lost time greatly this past month, with Stardust Dragon happy to have his old mentor back in his life. The feeling was mutual as Ascension Sky Dragon was happy to be with his pupil again. Stardust Dragon had told him everything that had happened since they last saw each other, about their world, what happened in the battle against the Earthbound Immortals, the Meklords, the Timelords and finally, about Yusei.

Ascension Sky Dragon grew fascinated upon listening to his old pupil's tale, before he grew amazed at the heights of power Stardust had obtained with his new Duelist. The old leader of the Signer Dragons could see the care his old pupil had for his new master, so he promised to protect his new Duelist, both for himself and Stardust Dragon.

5 weeks had passed since their reunion, and eventually, Stardust Dragon had told his old mentor about his new student, Odd-Eyes Dragon. At first, Ascension Sky Dragon was excited for his pupil, until he had learned that Stardust's student was the Standard piece of the Supreme King. Despite Stardust's reassurance and that Odd-Eyes was purified of his old master's darkness, the old leader of the Signer Dragons still felt unease about the red dragon. He didn't try to convince his old pupil to reconsider his decision, just advised him to be careful about him.

"I am just cautious about him. He's unlike any dragon I've ever seen before in my life, and he used to be part of the Supreme King. Tell me, why did you even decide to take him under your wing?" The former leader of the Signer Dragon asked his former pupil, turning to face the new leader of the Signer Dragons. Stardust Dragon continued to look down, but was now looking at the flower field, watching as Nightingale finished her song and received applause from her audience, including Odd-Eyes as he walked out of the forest and joined them all.

"…It's because I wanted to help him". Stardust answered his old mentor, much to his slight surprise as he thought he'd receive a different answer. "When I first saw Odd-Eyes in the vision that my lord showed Yusei and I, he interested me greatly. However, I grew to pity him as he was forced into heated battles because of the people of the United World's selfish wish for more intense battles. Despite seeing him hurt so many people and Duelists, I believed that he was a kind soul. I was proven correctly when I met him and saw his guilt for what he had done. I took him on as my student so that I can help him whenever I could. He's proven to be quite the student, flying through my lessons for him at an incredible rate". The Wind Synchro Monster began to explain to his old mentor with a found smile on his face, thinking about his time with his student.

"That's why I took him on as my student. Not for him to gain power, or for me to have something to do. I did it to help him accept his past and move on from it". Stardust finished with his voice full of conviction, before he turned around to look at his old mentor, who had a proud look on his face. Ascension Sky Dragon stared at his old pupil for a few moments, before he looked down the edge and saw Nightingale and Odd-Eyes deep in a conversation. "Do you think your relationship with your new student will be anything like ours?" The former leader of the Signer Dragons questioned his former pupil in a curious tone.

"It is possible. Only time will tell as I have only known him for a month". The current leader of the Signer Dragons answered his old mentor, before he looked back up at Ascension Sky Dragon and gave him a smile. "I know I've said it countless times before, but it is still good to have you back, master". Stardust Dragon told his old mentor with a happy tone, getting the former leader of the Signer Dragons to turn to look at his former student and return the smile. "I am no longer your master, Stardust. You are now mine. You've grown up and become a better leader than I ever was". Ascension Sky Dragon replied to his former pupil with an honest tone, getting Stardust to chuckle a bit.

"I'm the leader that I am today only because of your teachings. I know Black Rose Dragon, Red Dragon Archfiend, Ancient Fairy Dragon, Black-Winged Dragon and Life Stream Dragon will be overjoyed to see you again when we complete our mission". Stardust Dragon told his former mentor, before he looked back down the edge and resumed watching his student and adoptive daughter. Ascension Sky Dragon returned the smile and watched his former pupil's new student and adoptive daughter, happy to spend as much time with Stardust Dragon as he could.

(In the Standard Dimension)

The sun shined high in the sky above Paradise City with its civilians enjoying another peaceful day, unaware of the dangers that will soon come to their home. Over multiple parts of the city were once filled with posters of the Sledgehammer a month ago, but half were now showing posters of Yusei. There were posters of him with his monsters like Stardust Dragon, Ascension Sky Dragon, Junk Warrior and so much more. Even a passing by van had a screen showing Yusei and the Sledgehammer's Duel a month ago.

Ever since Yusei's victory against the Sledgehammer a month ago, he had grown into a famous celebrity, despite his status of being a teacher of the You Show Duel School. Thanks to his efforts and his skills in that duel, the You Show Duel School had regained some of its lost population as people would come to see Duels displayed by the students of the Duel School, but no one has chosen to join as they preferred to join the Leo Institute. Still, the You Show Duel School had not only regained some of its lost ground, but has grown stronger now, thanks to the teachings of Yusei's Synchro teachings, and Lulu's Xyz teachings as well.

Speaking of which, Yusei, Lulu and Rin were currently walking up to the You Show Duel School right now from the street on the right with the Shooting Star of Satellite leading the two girls. Lulu had an eager look on her face as they drew closer to the You Show Duel School, something that Rin took notice of as she grew a grin on her face. "That eager to see your boyfriend?" The Witch of the Wind questioned the Mistress of Birds with a teasing grin, making Lulu give out an exhausted sight with her cheeks red.

"For the last time, he's not my boyfriend". Lulu told her sister in an exhausted voice, but she really didn't mind her sister's teasing. "Yet". Rin corrected with a grin on her face, getting Lulu to let out a sigh at her persistence. Yusei, having heard his two daughters, gave an amused chuckle as they were closing in on the entrance. Before they could walk in, they were interrupted by a rather loud voice. "OUR DUEL SCHOOL IS GOING DOWN THE TOMBS!" A familiar voice screamed extremely loudly, taking Yusei, Rin and Lulu back as they recognized the voice to be Skip's.

"That's not a good sign". Yusei stated, before he and his adoptive daughters continued on with the entrance door sliding open for them. "He'd only flip his top if something important broke". Rin commented with her hands on her hips, having grown to know Skip enough to know that he'd only react like that if something important broke.

The three reached the elevator with Lulu pressing the up button, causing the elevator door to open, allowing them all to walk them. Yusei and his adoptive daughters walked in, before they turned around with Rin pressing the conference room button, which lit up after he pulled his finger back.

The elevator's doors closed, before it began going up to the conference room. "Hopefully, Yusei can fix it". Lulu commented as she held her hands together in front of legs. Eventually after 10 seconds, the elevator stopped and opened its doors, allowing the family to walk out into the conference room. Once inside, they saw Skip sitting down on the sofa chair with his hands on his head; Yuya and Zuzu sitting beside each other on the couch to the left and Gong was standing across Skip.

"Well, just what happened to you guys?" Rin questioned with her left first pressed against her hip, getting everyone's attention as they turned to see her, Lulu and Yusei enter. "YUSEI! WE NEED YOUR MAGNIFICENT TECH SKILLS TO REPAIR THE ARC SYSTEM!" Skip shouted out, shooting up from the sofa and moving faster than a bolt of lightning as he was now in front of Yusei, Rin and Lulu, making them take a step back in surprise. "What are you going on about? What happened?" The Shooting Star of Satellite questioned with wide eyes, wanting an explanation on what happened.

From her spot next to Yuya, Zuzu glared at the 19-year-old male with hostility in her eyes. Even though it's been a month, Zuzu still bares distrust for Yusei. In fact, it seemed to have grown a bit more than before as Yuya continued to change. "I'll tell you what happened. Your 'precious' student is what happened". The pink haired girl told the Shooting Star of Satellite in a disrespectful tone as she crossed her arms and leaned her head back. Yuya, Lulu and Rin all turned and frowned at Zuzu, having picked up the disrespect in her voice directed at Yusei.

Yusei gave a small sigh at the tone in Zuzu's voice. Despite all he's done for Yuya and her Duel School, Zuzu's distrust of him continued to grow, even now showing hostility and disrespect to him. He still doesn't know why she's grown to hate him, but he hopes that eventually, she'll lose her distrust. Seeing that Yuya was focused on Zuzu, the 19-year-old male turned to look at Gong, wanting an explanation from him.

Getting the unspoken message from Yusei, Gong spoke up. "Gong and Yuya were in the middle of an intense Duel. Our fiery spirits were too much for the ARC System and it blew up". The Superheavy Samurai Duelist told the Synchro teacher of the You Show Duel School, not to mention his Synchro trainer that taught him how to Synchro Summon. After Yusei's Duel against the Sledgehammer, Gong realized that it was time to improve his Heavy Strong style, and thus, asked Yusei to train him how to Synchro Summon. The Shooting Star of Satellite happily granted Gong's request, and began teaching him how to Synchro Summon.

(Flashback)

In the Action Field, Sword's Cemetery, Yusei and Gong stood across each other, both having their activated Duel Disks on their left forearms, in the middle of an Action Duel. Yusei had Max Warrior and one of his new monsters, Junk Anchor on his field, in front of him and had three cards in hand. Gong had his ace monster, Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei on his field, who was behind him, and had 4 cards in his hand. The point of the Duel wasn't for either of them to win, but to train and hopefully, for Gong to master Synchro Summoning.

Yusei Life Points: 4000/ Number of cards in hand: 3.

Max Warrior ATK Points: 1800/ Level: 4.

Junk Anchor ATK Points: 0/ Level: 2.

Gong Life Points: 4000/ Number of cards in hand: 3.

Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei DEF Points: 3500/ Level: 8.

"Alright Gong, pay close attention, okay!?" Yusei told the Superheavy Samurai Duelist with a serious voice and his eyes narrowed, which Gong nodded to the Shooting Star of Satellite. "Gong's got it! Now, show Gong what ya can do, Yusei!" Gong replied to the Shooting Star of Satellite, thrusting his right fist up and getting Yusei to grow a cool smile on his face.

"Okay then! Level 2 Junk Anchor tunes with Level 4 Max Warrior!" The Shooting Star of Satellite called out, swiping his right hand up to the sky as Max Warrior flew into the air, while Junk Anchor burst into two green rings. The green rings chased after and circled around Max Warriors, causing him to turn orange transparent as he was scanned by the rings.

"Fragments of steel merge into an impenetrable shield! Synchro Summon! Come, Junk Gardna!" Yusei chanted to the heavens as Max Warrior turned into four lights, which lined up within the two green rings. A bright pillar of light appeared and absorbed both the rings and lights. Yusei's Synchro Monster, Junk Gardna came down from the pillar of light, before he brought up his armored arms.

Junk Gardna DEF Points: 2600/ Level: 6.

Gong stared at the Synchro Monster in awe and with a smile on his face, having grown a deep fondness for Synchro Summoning. "Okay Gong, I've shown you how to Synchro Summon. Now, show me what you can do! I end my turn!" The Shooting Star of Satellite told the Superheavy Samurai Duelist, declaring his turn over.

Gong Life Points: 4000/ Number of cards in hand: 3.

The 14-year-old boy placed his right hand on the top card of his right hand. "Gong draws!" Gong called out as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion by swiping his right hand out, creating a powerful gust of wind from how powerful his draw was, but Yusei didn't even flinch at it. The Superheavy Samurai Duelist looked at the card he drew, before he widened his eyes upon seeing it was one of the cards that Yusei gave him.

As he stared at the card he drew, Gong remembered an important lesson that Yusei taught not only him, but also Yuya, Zuzu, Lulu, Rin, Allie and Frederick. 'Remember everyone to treat your cards with respect. Every card is special, and you just have to learn to appreciate its power in order to figure out how to best use it. Even the weakest of cards can be a force to be reckoned with if you know how to use them'. Those were that Yusei told everyone, and Gong had kept them memorized in his heart, seeing it as an important lesson.

Gong swiped his right hand out, still holding the card and showing what it was to Yusei. "Gong Summons the Tuner Monster, Superheavy Samurai Trumpeter!" Gong exclaimed, before he swiped the card onto his Duel Disk's blade. A portal appeared on the ground in front of the Superheavy Samurai Duelist, before a small samurai themed machine monster appeared, spinning a trumpet in its hand.

Superheavy Samurai Trumpeter ATK Points: 300/ Level: 2.

"Superheavy Samurai Trumpeter gives Big Benkei a tune up!" Gong called out as Trumpeter blew its trumpet, before transforming into two green rings. Big Benkei soared into the air as the green rings circled around it, scanning the Machine-type monster as it turned transparent orange, before transforming into 8 lights. A beam appeared and consumed the lights and rings. "Gong Synchro Summons… Superheavy Samurai Warlord Susanowo!" Gong called out as a brand new monster came out of the beam.

It was an imposing machine warrior clad in blue-green armor, holding a naginata and was sitting cross-legged. It appeared behind Gong and thrust the end of its naginata to the ground, creating a powerful gust of wind.

Superheavy Samurai Warlord Susanowo DEF Points: 3800/ Level: 10.

"Yes!" Gong cried out at joy at seeing his successful Synchro Summon, throwing his hands into the air from his successful Synchro Summon, while Yusei had a proud smile on his face.

(Imagination)

Gong was in the Wild West, wearing a cowboy outfit with a cowboy hat, riding a raging bull and was waving a lasso into the air. The sunset was behind them, making a dramatic scene. "GONG HAS MASTERED SYNCHRO SUMMONING!" The big 14-year-old cried out in joy, being a little bit over dramatic.

(Reality)

"Well done Gong. Let's end the Duel here". Yusei told the Superheavy Samurai Duelist, getting Gong to nod in understanding. "Hold it!" A voice interrupted, getting both Yusei and Gong's attention as they looked in the direction of where the voice came from. The far right side of the Action Field cleared to reveal Mr. Strong, who was sitting down a little bit away from the Action Field and had a determined look on his face.

"You two started a duel, and you both got to finish it! Even if it was just meant to practice!" The principal of the Strong Dojo told the two Duelists as he crossed his arms. Gong narrowed his eyes, before he gave a nod. "Okay Daddy! We'll keep going!" The Superheavy Samurai Duelist replied to his father, before he turned to look at Yusei.

The Shooting Star of Satellite turned to look back at his friend and gave a smirk. "Your father has a point. Besides, this'll be a great chance for you to bond with your new cards, and create a new Heavy Strong style. Just remember, no holding back!" Yusei told the Superheavy Samurai Duelist, getting Gong to grow his own confident smirk. "Gong never dreamed of it!" Gong replied to his friend, before both he and Yusei held up their Duel Disks, intending to continue their Duel.

(Flashback end)

Yusei and Gong had continued their Duel, and it ended with the Shooting Star of Satellite's victory. Gong wasn't disappointed as he enjoyed his Duel greatly; even Mr. Strong enjoyed the duel between them as well. Yusei was just glad that he helped Gong grow stronger as a duelist. Back to the present, Zuzu turned to look at Yuya and saw his frown, getting her to return it. "If anything, Yuya was responsible. His Odd-Eyes Skater blew the thing up from her attack". Zuzu accused her old friend, a bit ticked off that he was frowning at her.

"You can't honestly be blaming me, are you?" The tomato haired boy questioned his childhood friend in slight shock that she was blaming him. Zuzu let out a 'hump' as she turned the other way with her eyes closed in irritation and her arms crossed. Everyone let out a sigh at her behavior, before Yusei turned to look at Skip. "I'll go see what I can do. But don't get your hopes high, just in case". The Shooting Star of Satellite told the principal of the You Show Duel School, getting everyone to redirect their attention at him.

"Might I make a suggestion?" A familiar voice requested, getting everyone's attention as they turned to see the Sledgehammer's manager, Nico Smiley entering the room from the door. "You again". Yusei remarked, wondering why the Sledgehammer's manager was here in the You Show Duel School. "What are you doing back here, Nico? Does the Sledgehammer want another shot at Dad?" Rin questioned Nico with a frown on her face and her arms crossed, assuming that the Sledgehammer sent his manager back here for a rematch against Yusei.

"Oh no, I'm here for something else. If you would please let me speak". Nico requested with his casual smile on his face, getting everyone to frown at him, wondering what his reason for coming back here was. A minute later, Nico was sitting down on a couch, facing Yuya, Zuzu and Lulu, who were sitting down on the couch on the other side. Skip was still on the sofa and finally, Yusei, Rin and Gong were standing behind the couch that Yuya, Zuzu and Lulu were sitting on.

"Okay, what's your reason for coming back here?" Yusei questioned the Sledgehammer's manager with his arms crossed, taking initiative for everyone. "The Sledgehammer is hosting a Fan Appreciation day at the Leo Institute. Part of the festivity is issuing a one on one dueling challenge to Yuya". Nico explained to everyone as he turned to look at Yuya, much to his and everyone else's surprise. "You're inviting me… to duel the Sledgehammer?" The student of the Shooting Star of Satellite questioned in disbelief at what he was hearing.

"I'm not inviting you to duel his Grandma". Nico answered with a sly look, getting Rin to look up at the roof with a curious look on her face. 'Can a Grandma even duel?' The Witch of the Wind questioned in her mind, having never seen an old person duel before. "Seriously though, it's your chance to take him on, just like how your teacher did a month ago". The Sledgehammer's manager added, getting Rin to return her focus at the discussion.

"Hold up, why does he even want to duel me? If it's because he thinks I know where my dad is, he's wrong. I have no idea". Yuya questioned Nico with a confused look, assuming that the Sledgehammer wanted to duel him because he thought that he knew where his dad was. "Oh no, it's nothing like that. See, ever since the Sledgehammer's defeat to Yusei a month ago, he's been undergoing rigorous dueling training. He trained to the literal bone. But now, his training has paid off. He's master Fusion, Synchro and Xyz Summoning". Nico told everyone with an excited smile on his face, much to their surprise at hearing the Sledgehammer's new strength.

"Wow. Guess that beating you gave him really motivated him, huh Yusei?" Gong commented with his arms crossed, getting Yusei to look at the Superheavy Samurai Duelist. "Indeed. See, the Sledgehammer heard that Yusei took you under his wing and has been teaching you for the past 5 weeks. He wants to test his new strength against Yusei's student and see how his training paid off". Nico told the group, before he brought out a poster and placed it down on the table.

It was similar to the poster that he showed everyone before, but it showed Yuya instead of Yusei this time. "Everything is set, and ready to go. All that's left is for you to agree". The Sledgehammer's manager told Yuya as he, along with everyone else looked down at the poster. Skip raised his head to look up at Nico. He opened his mouth to deny Nico's request, only for the Sledgehammer's manager to speak, before he could, Nico spoke again.

"If you accept, the Leo Corporation will donate the newest, Augmented Reality Combat System to your Dueling School for no charge. As in free". Nico added in with a sly look as he played with his fingers, instantly shattering Skip's thoughts of refusing the offer. "You got a deal!" The principal of the You Show School exclaimed, before he groaned in pain upon Rin slamming her right fist on his head, causing his eyes to change to anime white in pain.

"Is bribing seriously all it takes to get you to do whatever anyone wants!? My respect for you continues to go down even more! Besides, this isn't your choice, it's Yuya's!" Rin scolded her principal with an anime angry face, before she, along with everyone else, including the sulking Skip, turned to look at Yuya, who was still looking down at the poster with narrowed eyes.

Yuya turned to look over his right shoulder to look at his teacher, who looked down at him with a natural expression, but his eyes showed an encouraging look. The tomato haired boy spent a moment or two staring at his teacher, before he turned to look back at Nico with a determined expression. "Tell the Sledgehammer that he's got a duel". Yuya told Nico with a strong voice, getting Zuzu, Gong, Skip, Rin and Lulu to widen their eyes in surprise, while Yusei grew a proud smile on his face.

Nico grew a pleased look on his face upon hearing Yuya's answer. "I'm sure he'll be pleased to hear that. The duel will take place in an hour, so please make your way to the Dueling arena". Nico said in a pleased tone as he picked up the poster, before he stood up from the couch. "Got it". The tomato haired boy replied to the Sledgehammer's manager, getting Nico to grow a pleased smile.

Nico then took his leave and left the You Show Duel School, leaving everyone alone. "Yuya, what were you thinking!? Why would you accept the Sledgehammer's challenge!?" Zuzu questioned her childhood friend in an enraged tone, getting Yuya to turn around to face her with a serious look, much like Yusei's. "I can't keep running away from any threat that comes my way. Yusei taught me to take on any challenge, and this is one of those times". The tomato haired boy replied to the pink haired girl as he stood up from the couch with everyone's eyes still focused on him.

"If you'll excuse me". Yuya said as he walked over to the elevator and pressed on the down button. The elevator door opened, which Yuya walked in, before he turned back around as the doors closed. "You think Yuya's okay?" Gong questioned in concern for his best friend, getting Zuzu to look up at him with a frown. "Of course he's not okay! He shouldn't have accept that challenge and just let Yusei fix the old ARC System!" The Standard piece of Ray snapped at the Superheavy Samurai Duelist, believing that Yuya should have declined the challenge.

Zuzu and Gong began an argument with each other about whether or not that Yuya made the right choice, which Rin stepped in and tried to break up the argument. Lulu paid the three no attention, instead she was looking at the elevator with a concerned look, deeply worried about Yuya. The Mistress of Birds looked over her left shoulder to look up at her adoptive father and saw his natural expression.

"Yusei…" Lulu said in a worried voice, getting Yusei to look down at his adoptive daughter and saw her worried look. Yusei uncrossed his arms and placed his right hand atop her head, before he gave her a comforting rub. "Don't worry about Yuya. I'll take care of it". The Shooting Star of Satellite told his adoptive daughter in a comforting tone, getting her to lose her worried look and replace it with a trusting smile.

Yusei lifted his hand from Lulu's head and walked up to the elevator. "You guys head on ahead to the stadium. I've got something to take care of". Yusei told everyone as he pressed the down button, getting Rin to stop trying to break up the argument between Gong and Zuzu, and turned to look at his back. "Where are you going?" The Witch of the Wind questioned her adoptive father as the elevator door opened and he walked in.

Yusei turned back around to face the ground, before he gave a smile. "Just going to take a walk". The Shooting Star of Satellite answered Rin with a confident smirk, before he pressed the down button. The elevator doors closed, leaving a confused Rin, a still arguing Zuzu and Gong, a groaning Skip with a bump on his head and a smiling faced Lulu as she knew where her adoptive father was going.

(With Yuya)

At Paradise City Bridge, Yuya was sitting down on the railings of the bridge a little bit away from the road with the Dueling arena in the distance. Yuya had his goggles over his eyes, staring at his swinging pendant that he was holding in front of him with his right hand. The student of the Shooting Star of Satellite was quiet as he watched his pendant swing over the Dueling stadium in the distance. As he continued to watch his pendent, Yuya thought back to one of his father's important lessons.

(Flashback 3 years ago)

The sun was setting for the day. An 11-year-old Yuya was sitting down on a ledge, crouching forward with his goggles covering his crying eyes as he cried. A black gloved hand then suddenly pulled Yuya's goggles off his eyes and to his forehead, much to his surprise as his tears fell to the ground, before he started rubbing his eyes with his hands.

The young boy lifted his head up to look at his father as Yusho placed his right hand atop his son's head. "Take your dad's advice, Yuya. Try to laugh when you feel like crying. And when things get tough, respond with a smile. It'll give you the strength to keep moving forward". Yusho told his son, before he gently took off Yuya's pendant and held it up in front of them both. "It's kinda like a pendulum". The Dueltainer began as he started swinging the pendant. Yuya looked forward and watched his pendent swing in front of him.

"If the pendulum swings one way, you know it'll swing the other way to. Like in a duel". Yusho told his son, getting the young Yuya to look at his father in confusion. "A duel?" The 11-year-old boy questioned in confusion, unable to understand. "The key to dueling is to believe in your deck, and yourself. When you're falling behind, you can always make things swing your way again. So don't worry about anything, just try to enjoy the ride". The Dueltainer told his son, before they both looked back at the pendent as it continued to swing.

"The pendulum can even be a tool of discovery. Whenever you're lost, this pendant will show you the way you need to go. Try to remember what I've told you, Yuya. It may help you someday". Yusho explained to his son as Yuya continued to watch his pendent swing in fascination.

(Flashback end)

'You were right, Dad. Swing. Swing, pendulum. More… and more!' Yuya thought to himself, continuing to watch his pendant swing in front of him. A familiar hand pulled Yuya's goggles off his head and onto his forehead, much to his slight surprise. "Didn't I tell you that you didn't need to hid behind those goggles anymore?" A familiar voice said to the tomato haired boy, getting Yuya to look right to see Yusei standing next to him, smiling down at his student.

"Yusei". Yuya said in slight surprise to see his mentor, which the Shooting Star of Satellite nodded to him. "I knew I'd find you here. What are you even doing here? You've got a duel to win". The Shooting Star of Satellite reminded his pupil as he leaned against the railing with his arms still crossed. "Sorry, it's just that… I needed some time to think". The tomato haired boy apologized to his teacher as he went back to watching his pendant swing.

Yusei noticed his student watching his pendant, getting him curious on what the 14-year-old boy was thinking. "And what were you thinking about?" The Shooting Star of Satellite questioned his student, getting Yuya to stop swinging his pendant and stare at it. "A lesson that my Dad taught me. It was a lesson that involved dueling, and about a pendulum". The tomato haired boy revealed to the Signer, increasing his curiosity. "Is that right?" The Shooting Star of Satellite questioned, before his right hand shot out and grabbed a hold of the pendant's string.

"Then let me teach you another lesson". Yusei told his student, getting the 14-year-old boy to look at his teacher. "What's it about". Yuya questioned in a curious tone, getting Yusei to smile at him. "It's about testing your own potential". The Signer answered his student, turning Yuya's curiosity into confusion. "My potential?" Yuya questioned in confusion, having never been taught this lesson before. Yusei nodded to his student, before he looked over his right shoulder to across the water.

"Keep on challenging yourself and try to make the impossible, possible. If you believe in your friends and in yourself, you're certain to be rewarded. You can make the impossible possible… No matter where in the world you may live or who they may be… By combing your feelings as one, you can change the future. That's what's known as limitless potential. So keep on believing in your friends and in your strength. Never give up until the end and continue to challenge yourself and test out your potential. That's what it means to be a member of Team 5D's". The Signer explained to his student one important lesson, one that changed his life so long ago.

Yuya listened to his teacher in awe as he explained his lesson, not noticing the weird glowing coming from the back of Yusei's right arm, or the slight red glow coming from his pendant. "And if you don't give up, you're sure to be rewarded. I tested my own potential way back, and that's why I've come so far". Yusei continued with a smile as he stared at his glowing arm and the glowing pendant, feeling his mark of the Crimson Dragon active by its own.

The glowing on both the mark of the Crimson Dragon and on the pendant then ceased. Yusei pushed himself off the railing and took hold of the pendant with both his hands. "Always remember this lesson, Yuya. It's one that I've always kept memorized in my heart, and it helped me accomplish the impossible". The Shooting Star of Satellite told his pupil as he placed the pendant over Yuya's neck, who continued to stare at his teacher in awe.

Yuya eventually grew a confident smile, before he turned to face the Dueling arena in the distance. "Thanks for the lesson Yusei. I kinda get it, and now I wanna test out my own potential, in this duel against the Sledgehammer!" The student of the Shooting Star of Satellite exclaimed with a confident smile, before he placed his left hand in his pocket and brought out his deck.

Yuya held his deck in front of him and looked down at it, seeing that the top card was his ace monster, Odd-Eyes Dragon. "I don't care if the Sledgehammer has Fusion, Synchro and Xyz Summoning. As long as I believe in myself and in my cards, I know we'll win. After all, it's not about what kind of cards you use. It's about how you use them, right?" The tomato haired boy questioned as he turned to look at his teacher with a smile, which Yusei nodded to him.

"Exactly. Now go out there and bring down the Sledgehammer, just like I did". The Signer told his student in an encouraging voice as he placed his right hand on Yuya's head, and ruffled his head playfully. Yuya gave a happy laugh at his teacher's actions, before he nodded his head. "It'll be my genuine pleasure". The tomato hair styled boy replied to his teacher as Yusei lifted his hand up from his head.

"Come on then. We better head to the stadium, or you're gonna lose because you didn't make it there on time". Yusei told his student with a smile, before he turned around and began walking off. Yuya quickly returned his deck to his pocket, before he turned around and jumped off the railing. The 14-year-old boy quickly chased after his mentor, ready to face the 'champion' of Paradise City, just as his teacher did before.

(Not too long later at the Dueling stadium)

The stadium was packed with people with pretty much every seat taken. All the people cheered for the duel that was about to take place. On the field, female cheerleaders cheered for the event. "You fans have been waiting patiently for this duel, and now it's finally happening! Three years ago, the famous Dueltainer, Yusho Sakaki, failed to defend his title against The Sledgehammer. Now, Sakaki's own son, not to mention Yusei Fudo's student, will try to erase his father's disgrace!" Nico Smiley called out in his microphone, getting the crowds of people to cheer in excitement.

Flying up above were blimps with screens showing both The Sledgehammer and Yuya, both with their own different color backgrounds and their names. Among the crowd were Skip, Zuzu, Gong, Lulu and Rin, all five of them standing up in front of the entrance to watch the duel between Yuya and the Sledgehammer. "Do you think Yuya will show up?" Zuzu questioned in concern for her childhood friend as she held her hands together in a pray, no longer angered by Yuya's choice to accept the challenge, but more concerned.

"He'll be here. Thanks to Yusei's teachings, Yuya doesn't run away from a challenge anymore". Rin commented with her arms crossed and eyes narrowed, confident that the tomato haired boy will show up. "Hope ya right". Gong remarked, wishing his best friend luck, and hope for victory. "Alright! Then we'll get our new ARC System-!" Skip exclaimed in excitement, only to be cut off by Zuzu bringing out her fan and smacking his head with it. Lulu was silent with a slightly worried look, but was confident that Yuya will defeat the Sledgehammer.

"Now let's get this grudge match on the way! Here goes!" Nico called out as he held up his right hand, which a card virtually appeared between his index and middle fingers. "I activate the Field, Castle of Chaos!" The manager of the Sledgehammer called out as he held up the card, which released a bright blue light.

"Augmented Reality Combat System energized! Generating Action Field!" A female AI voice called out as the Arc System underneath the field began to activate. "I tell you people, this ARC technology blows my mind! The field its generating is so real that you can actually climb the castle walls, or toss your mother-in-law in the dungeon!" Nico Smiley chuckled as the field transformed into the Field Spell, Castle of Chaos. The field was now filled with a forest full of tress, stone pillars around the area, and a stone castle in the middle of it.

At the top of the castle balcony, The Sledgehammer made his presence known as he stomped on the ground, standing next to the edge and facing the crowds of people. "It's him… Guys and girls, presenting Leo Institute's top Action Duelist and reigning world champion, he's the biggest, baddest browser to have ever picked up a deck! The Sledgehammer!" Nico Smiley cried out as he held his right hand out to The Sledgehammer, who roared out as he raised his hands into the air, getting the crowd to cheer for him.

"He's gone through rigorous training since his defeat to Yusei Fudo, and has come back bigger, badder and a whole lot meaner than before! Can his challenger stand up to this new version of The Sledgehammer!? We'll find out! Everyone give it up for Yuya Sakaki!" The Sledgehammer's manager cried out as he thrust his right hand forward with his index finger out.

(Play Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V Yuya's theme)

From the shadows inside of the castle, Yuya walked out with a deadly serious expression on his face with his Odd-Eyes Dragon themed Duel Disk on his left forearm. The Odd-Eyes Dragon's mouth, and its eyes were closed. He stopped ten feet away from the Sledgehammer, who turned around to face him. "So, the son of Yusho Sakaki didn't run away from me". The 'champion' of Paradise City stated with a frown on his face, getting Yuya to smirk at him. "My teacher taught me to face all challenges head on. Including you". The tomato hair styled boy told the Sledgehammer as he gave a small bow to his opponent.

"So, even Yusei Fudo can turn a spineless kid into a true Duelist. Let's see what he taught you!" The Sledgehammer exclaimed as he swiped his left arm in front of him and his Duel Disk activated with its blade appearing. Yuya narrowed his eyes at his opponent. "Alright then…" The tomato hair styled boy began, before he swiped his left arm up in front of him. "Bring it on then!" Yuya finished as his Duel Disk activated with the words 'Duel Mode' appearing on the screen, before they were replaced by 'Standby'. First, the Odd-Eyes Dragon head's eyes shot open, revealing the different coloured eyes, before its mouth opened and his deck appeared between its teeth. Finally, the blade-shaped blade appeared from the Duel Disk, before Yuya held his Duel Disk in front of him.

"Big talk coming from a clown. But you won't be so confident when the Sledgehammer squashes you". Sledgehammer said with a frown on his face, which Yuya countered with a confident smirk. "It looks like sparks are flying, and they haven't even started dueling yet! Okay Duelists, get your five cards in hand, and get set to battle!" Nico called out on his microphone as Yuya and the Sledgehammer drew their starting hand.

"Our Duelists and their decks are primed for an epic battle showdown like nothing you've ever seen before, as we kick off this contest with a whirlwind that'll leave you breathless!" Nico cried out as he spun around like a whirlwind, before stopping and held up his right fist, now holding his microphone with his left hand. "It'll be the Duel that'll end all Duels! Only the toughest will survive this face off! ARE YOU READY!?" The manager of the Sledgehammer exclaimed as he held up his right hand, ready to snap his fingers. "Let's duel!" Yuya and The Sledgehammer cried out, officially starting the duel.

(Music stop)

Yuya Life Points: 4000/ Number of cards in hand: 5.

The Sledgehammer Life Points: 4000/ Number of cards in hand: 5.

Nico snapped his fingers as cards gathered above the field, before they dispersed all over the field. "Action cards dispersed!" The same female AI voice from before called out as both Yuya and the Sledgehammer transferred their cards from their right hands to their left hands. "Since I let your teacher go first in our duel, I'll be going first this time". The Sledgehammer told his young opponent, before he picked a card from his hand and held it up with his right hand's index and middle fingers.

"I activate the Spell, Feast of the Wild LV 5!" The bulky man called out as he slotted the Spell card into his Duel Disk. The Spell card materialized in front of him, before it began glowing. "This will get the crowd crazy for more because it lets me Summon two battling behemoths! I Summon Swamp Battleguard and Lava Battleguard!" The Sledgehammer explained his Spell's effect as he held out his right hand, before two portals appeared beside him. Swamp Battleguard and Lava Battleguard appeared from the portals, swinging their weapons.

Swamp Battleguard ATK Points: 1800/ Level: 5.

Lava Battleguard ATK Points: 1550/ Level: 5.

The two battleguards leaped away from their duelist and began falling off the castle. "I tribute them both right away, so that I can Summon the ruler!" The Sledgehammer exclaimed as both Lava and Swamp Battleguard turned into green sparkles, before a bright light appeared in the forest of the Action Field. "No forest can hide you or castle can protect you from the chief of all wild savages, all hail! Battleguard King!" The Sledgehammer chanted as the forest was smashed away to reveal his ace monster, Battleguard King, who let out a powerful roar.

Battleguard King ATK Points: 3000/ Level: 8.

The crowd cheered at the sight of The Sledgehammer's ace monster. "The Sledgehammer Summoned a monster that's as mean as he is! I wouldn't want to be in Yuya's new boots!" Nico commented on his microphone, while Yuya narrowed his eyes. 'His opening… it's just like in his duel against Yusei'. The 14-year-old boy thought to himself, seeing that his opponent was making the same moves as he did in his duel against the Shooting Star of Satellite.

Sledgehammer let out a cry as he leaped off the castle and landed on Battleguard King's left hand. "I shall place one card face down and end my turn!" The Sledgehammer declared his turn over, holding up a card before he slotted it into his Duel Disk. A face down card appeared on the ground in front of Battleguard King, before it disappeared from view.

Yuya Life Points: 4000/ Number of cards in hand: 5.

Battleguard King turned around and began walking off. "The Sledgehammer appears to be searching for Action cards early. He mustn't want to take chances like he did against Yusei!" Nico called out on his microphone as Yuya walked up to the edge of the platform and saw Battleguard King walking away. 'Time to nut up, or shut up'. The teenage boy thought to himself as he brought up his left arm and looked down at his Duel Disk.

"My turn now!" Yuya explained as he placed his right hand's index, middle and thumb fingers on the top card of his deck. "I draw!" He called out as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion by swiping his right hand out to the side with the card being held by his three fingers. Yuya brought the card to his face, before he held up his hand to look at the rest of his cards. He added the card he drew to his hand, before he picked another one and held it with his right hand's index, middle and thumb things.

"To start things off, I'll Summon Performapal Whip Snake!" Yuya called out as he swiped the card onto his Duel Disk's blade. A portal appeared besides him, before Performapal Whip Snake appeared, giving out a cry with a smile.

Performapal Whip Snake ATK Points: 1700/ Level: 4.

Whip Snake coiled around Yuya's stretched out right arm, before the teenage boy took off. He jumped to the edge of the castle and grabbed onto a hook attached to a string, before he began sliding downwards. "I activate Whip Snake's special ability! Once a turn, Whip Snake can switch your monster's ATK and DEF Points until the end of the turn!" The tomato hair styled boy explained his monster's special, making the Sledgehammer widen his eyes in surprise.

"Say what!?" The 'champion' exclaimed in surprise as Whip Snake's eyes gleamed yellow as he stared at the back of Battleguard King, causing a yellow aura to cover the Warrior-type monster and making him stop in his tracks.

Battleguard King ATK Points: 3000 – 1900 = 1100/ DEF Points: 1100 + 1900 = 3000.

The Sledgehammer jumped off his ace monster's hand and onto the ground, before he turned around to look at Battleguard King. Yuya let go of the hook, causing him to fall to the ground, but he did a forward summersault and landed on his feet. "Whip Snake, whip it to Battleguard King!" Yuya commanded his monster as he held out his right hand. Whip Snake let out a hiss as he uncoiled around his master's hand, before he shot out towards Battleguard King.

"I don't think so! I activate the Trap, Battleguard Howling!" The 'champion' called out, thrusting his right fist out as his face down card reappeared, before it flipped itself over. Battleguard King rose to his feet, before he turned around and roared at the approaching Whip Snake, making the Reptile-type monster stop dead in his tracks with wide eyes.

"When a Battleguard monster I control is targeted for an attack, this Trap not only negates it, your monster returns to your hand and you take damage equal to its ATK Points!" Sledgehammer explained his Trap card's effect as his ace monster let out another terrifying roar, creating a powerful gale of wind that blew Whip Snake into the air, before he turned into sparkles. Yuya was pushed back a bit from the gust of wind, but he remained strong and took Whip Snake's card off his blade and returned it to his hand.

Yuya Life Points: 4000 – 1700 = 2300.

"Oh boy, everybody! Just when Yuya had the Sledgehammer on the ropes, he countered it all with his Trap card! Now Yuya has not only lost his monster, but almost half his Life Points!" Nico called out on his microphone as the crowd cheered for the exciting match. "I'll play a face down card, and end my turn!" Yuya declared his turn over as he held up a card with his right hand's index and middle fingers, before he slotted it into his Duel Disk.

Battleguard King ATK Points: 1100 + 1900 = 3000/ DEF Points: 3000 – 1900 = 1100.

Sledgehammer Life Points: 4000/ Number of cards in hand: 0.

"Argh! I knew it was a bad idea to let Yuya duel! He's getting creamed out there!" Zuzu exclaimed in concern for her childhood friend, thinking that she should have prevented Yuya from accepting the Sledgehammer's challenge. Lulu, Rin, Skip and Gong all looked worried for Yuya as he now had the disadvantage. "Don't sell him out so quickly!" A familiar voice told the five from behind, getting Lulu, Zuzu, Rin, Skip and Gong to look behind them to see Yusei and Yoko walking up to them, but kept inside the entrance.

"Dad! Yoko! Where have you guys been?" Rin questioned in surprise, having been wondering where the two have been since the duel began. "Yusei came over to tell me of what's going on. But that's not the point. Just look at Yuya". Yoko told the group, getting them all confused, but still turned to look at one of the screens as it zoomed in on Yuya's serious face.

"Yuya doesn't have the look of defeat on his face; in fact it's a look of someone just getting started. Just watch, Yuya's not going down that easy". Yusei told everyone as he crossed his arms and watched as the duel continued. "Yusei's right! Come on, Yuya! Show them all what you're made of!" Gong cheered out in encouragement to his best friend as he brought out a flag from out of nowhere with Yuya's face on it, before he began waving it around. "You've still got Life Points, so that means you still have a chance!" Rin called out to her friend with an easy going smile on her face, her belief in Yuya remaining strong.

Having heard Gong and Rin, Yuya looked up at the audience to look at them, along with the others, before he gave a nod. The teenage boy looked back at his opponent as the Sledgehammer moved in to draw his card. "My turn now! I draw!" The bulky man exclaimed as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion with his right hand. Turning the card over to look at it through the corner of his right eye, the Sledgehammer grew a grin at seeing what it was. He held the card up for Yuya to see, revealing it to be a Spell card with the image showing a battle axe with a silver blade and a purple handle. "I equip Battleguard King with the Equip Spell, Battleguard Battle Axe!" The Sledgehammer called out as he swiped the card into his Duel Disk.

(Battleguard Battle Axe/ Type: Equip Spell/ Effect: The equipped monsters gains 500 ATK and is unaffected by your opponent's Spells or Traps.)

Battleguard King's hammer glowed as it transformed into the battle axe that was on the card's image, which he held with both his hands. "First, Battleguard Battle Axe gives the monster that it is equipped to, 500 more ATK Points…!" Sledgehammer began to explain his Spell card's effect as Battleguard King's power went up.

Battleguard King ATK Points: 3000 + 500 = 3500.

"And the best part, the equipped monster is unaffected by your Spells and Traps!" The bulky man finished, getting Yuya to slightly widen his eyes in surprise. "Oh boy, this isn't good! Thanks to that battle axe, Yuya's chances of victory have gone down a lot! His face down better be something good, or else this match is over!" Nico called out on his microphone with wide eyes, knowing that Yuya will lose if he takes a direct attack one.

"Go Battleguard King and squash this clown!" Sledgehammer commanded his ace monster, which Battleguard King roared as it brought its battle axe into the sky, intending to bring it down. "This duel is far from over! I play Performapal Kuriborder from my hand!" Yuya called out as he picked a card from his hand and held it out in front of him with his right hand's index and middle fingers. A Kuribo appeared above Yuya, it had a tail with a star at the end and it had a red and green hooded beanie with a yellow pompom at the end as well.

Performapal Kuriborder ATK Points: 300/ Level: 1.

Battleguard King brought down his axe on Kuriborder and destroyed the little guy, but instead of creating a shockwave, the destruction created red and green sparkles that rained down on the smirking Yuya. "When I'm attacked directly, I can Special Summon my little buddy to take the hit for me. And the best part is that he reduces battle damage to 0 and recovers Life Points by the same amount! Since the Battle damage would have been 3200 points, my Life Points go up by that amount". Yuya explained his monster's special ability as the sparkles rained down on him, before a red and green aura covered him as his Life Points went up.

Yuya Life Points: 2300 + 3200 = 5500.

"Talk about taking one for the team! Yuya's little buddy saved him from certain defeat!" Nico called out on his microphone in surprise as the crowd cheered, while Sledgehammer gritted his teeth in annoyance. "You may have saved yourself, but I'll get you next turn!" The bulky man exclaimed as he held up his right fist, getting Yuya's smirk to grow even more.

"Oh yeah? Check it out!" Yuya called out, swiping his left arm forward as his face down card appeared, before it levitated up and revealed itself to be Illusion Ballons. "When a monster I control is destroyed, I can to draw cards from my deck equal to the number of monsters that were destroyed this turn. Then, I can Special Summon the highest Level Performapal monster from my deck!" The tomato hair styled boy explained his Quick-Play Spell's effect as he placed his right hand's index, middle and thumb fingers on the top card of his deck.

"Yuya's taking a chance here! If he draws a monster, he'll have something to protect him, but that will allow Battleguard King to attack again!" Nico exclaimed with wide eyes as he, along with everyone else with the stadium, watched closely as Yuya closed his eyes, before he drew his card with his right hand's index and middle fingers and held it up in the air. Yuya opened his eyes as he brought the card down and held it out to reveal that it was Performapal Skeeter Skimmer. "It's Performapal Skeeter Skimmer, and I'll Summon him in ATK Mode!" The tomato hair styled boy called out, before he swiped the card onto his Duel Disk's blade. A portal appeared, before Performapal Skeeter Skimmer came out of it.

Performapal Skeeter Skimmer ATK Points: 500/ Level: 4.

"Talk about lucky! Yuya got a monster, but he must have made a mistake because it placed it in ATK Mode!" The Sledgehammer's manager exclaimed with wide eyes, thinking that Yuya made a mistake. Yuya turned around and began running off with Skeeter Skimmer following after him. "Battleguard King, attack that bug and squash it!" The Sledgehammer commanded his ace monster, pointing towards the Insect-type monster.

Battleguard King let out a fierce roar as he rose up his battle axe, intending to bring it down on Skeeter Skimmer. Yuya turned his head left and right as he searched for an Action card. Just then, he spotted one lying down on a tree branch. He began running to the tree, before he looked over his left shoulder to look up at Battleguard King. "I activate Skeeter Skimmer's special ability! When he's targeted for an attack, not only can I switch him to DEF Mode, but negate your attack!" Yuya explained his monster's special ability as Skeeter Skimmer stopped following after its Duelist, before he turned around.

Skeeter Skimmer raised its front arms up in front of its head, before spreading his wings. A force field appeared around the Insect-type monster as it changed positions.

Performapal Skeeter Skimmer DEF Points: 1600/ Level: 4.

Battleguard King brought down its axe on the force field, but it remained strong repelled the attack, even pushing the Sledgehammer's ace monster back a bit. The bulky man gritted his teeth as Yuya jumped up towards the tree branch and picked up the Action card. "I end my turn here!" The Sledgehammer declared his turn over as Yuya landed on the ground on his feet, before he looked at the Action card and saw that it was High Dive, before he added it to his hand.

Yuya Life Points: 5500/ Number of cards in hand: 5.

The teenage boy turned around to look at the Sledgehammer, before he placed his right hand on his deck. "I draw!" Yuya called out as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion with his right hand's index and middle fingers. He added his new card to his hand, before he picked up another one. "Let's try this again! I'll Summon Performapal Whip Snake!" Yuya called out as he swiped the card onto his Duel Disk's blade. A portal appeared besides him, before Performapal Whip Snake appeared, giving out a cry with a smile.

Performapal Whip Snake ATK Points: 1700/ Level: 4.

"If a Performapal monster is Normal Summoned, I'm allowed to Special Summon this! Come on in and join the part, Helpprincess!" Yuya called out as he took another card from his hand and placed it on the blade. A portal opened next to Yuya, before Helpprincess came out with a happy laugh as she held her staff with her left hand and her phone with her right hand.

Performapal Helpprincess ATK Points: 1200/ Level: 4.

"Now, I'll switch Skeeter Skimmer back into ATK Mode!" Yuya declared as he reached out to Skeeter Skimmer's card and switched the card to a straight position. Performapal Skeeter Skimmer brought his hands down, but kept his wings spread out.

Performapal Skeeter Skimmer ATK Points: 500/ Level: 4.

"Now I activate Whip Snake's special ability! Once a turn, Whip Snake can switch your monster's ATK and DEF Points until the end of the turn!" The tomato hair styled boy explained his monster's special, thrusting his right hand out as Whip Snake's eyes gleamed yellow as he stared at the back of Battleguard King, causing a yellow aura to cover the Warrior-type monster and making him stop in his tracks.

Battleguard King ATK Points: 3500 – 2400 = 1100/ DEF Points: 1100 + 2400 = 3500.

"Oh no! Now the tables have turned on the Sledgehammer! If he takes all three attacks, he'll be way behind Yuya!" Nico commented on his microphone as everyone watched the duel, getting more excited as the tables kept on turning for both of them. The Sledgehammer gritted his teeth, before he looked left and saw an Action card on the stone circle around the field. "Before I get to attacking, I'll play the Action card that I picked up! The Action card, High Dive!" Yuya called out as he held up the Action card with his right hand's index and middle fingers, before slotting it into his Duel Disk.

"This card increases one of my monster's ATK Points by 1000! And I think I'll go with Performapal Skeeter Skimmer!" The teenage boy explained the Action card's effect as a yellow aura appeared over Skeeter Skimmer, increasing his power.

Performapal Skeeter Skimmer ATK Points: 500 + 1000 = 1500.

Battleguard King lowered his left arm to his Duelist, which the Sledgehammer jumped onto. "Skeeter Skimmer, take out Battleguard King!" Yuya commanded his monster, swiping his right hand out towards the Warrior-type monster. Skeeter Skimmer spread his wings, before he began flying towards Battleguard King, who swiped his left arm out, launching his Duelist to the stone circle. Skeeter Skimmer thrust out its front right fist and slammed it into Battleguard King's stomach, making the Warrior-type monster explode upon impact. (1500 – 1100 = 400)

Sledgehammer Life Points: 4000 – 400 = 3600.

"I can't believe it! Yuya Sakaki actually destroyed the Sledgehammer's ace monster without even breaking a sweat!" Nico called out on his microphone in disbelief as the crowd cheered. Gong and Skip cried anime tears of joy for Yuya, while Zuzu still looked worried. Yusei, Lulu, Rin and Yoko all smiled at seeing Yuya do so well against the Sledgehammer.

Yuya grew a confident smirk on his face at seeing his achievement of destroying Battleguard King. The explosion had created a smokescreen that covered the 'champion' from view, but Yuya wasn't worried. Skeeter Skimmer returned to his side, while Whip Snake and Helpprincess looked eager to attack. "With your king gone, nothing is standing in the way of Helpprincess' way of attacking you directly!" The teenage boy exclaimed, thrusting his left arm out.

"Except for this!" A familiar voice stated, making Yuya widen his eyes in surprise as the smoke cleared to reveal the Sledgehammer standing at the stone circle, holding up an Action card with his right hand's index and middle fingers. "I play the Action card, Great Escape!" The Sledgehammer exclaimed as he swiped the card into his Duel Disk. The card appeared on his right side, before it released a powerful gust of wind that pushed back Skeeter Skimmer, Helprincess and Whip Snake.

"Oh, boy! Yuya's luck has run out as Great Escape ends the Battle Phase! Meaning that Sledgehammer's Life Points are safe!" Nico called out on his microphone, while Yuya gritted his teeth in slight frustration. "I end my turn!" Yuya declared his turn over as he took off running into the forest, intending to find another Action card.

Performapal Skeeter Skimmer ATK Points: 1500 – 1000 = 500.

Sledgehammer Life Points: 3600/ Number of cards in hand: 0.

"My turn now!" Sledgehammer called out as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion with his right hand, before he held it out. "I activate the Spell card, Battleguard Draw!" The bulky man exclaimed as he slotted the card into his Duel Disk. The Spell card materialized in front of him, floating above the sky. The image showed Swamp Battleguard, Lava Battleguard and Battleguard King each holding a giant card that was their size.

(Battleguard Draw/ Type: Spell/ Effect: Remove two Level 5 or higher 'Battleguard' cards from your Graveyard; draw 3 cards from your deck.)

Two black swirling portals appeared on the Sledgehammer's left and right. "This Spell removes 2 Level 5 or higher Battleguards from my graveyard, and I get to draw 3 cards!" The 'champion' explained his Spell's effect as Swamp Battleguard appeared on the left portal, while Lava Battleguard appeared on the right portal. "I remove Lava Battleguard and Swamp Battleguard from my Graveyard!" Sledgehammer exclaimed as the two monsters turned into sparkles that were absorbed into the portals.

The portals disappeared, while Sledgehammer drew 3 more cards from his deck and held them up with his right hand. The bulky man looked at his cards, before he grew a smirk on his face at seeing one of them. He handed the cards over to his left hand, before he took one of them with his right hand. "I activate the Spell, Fissure!" Sledgehammer called out, holding the card out with his right hand's index, middle and thumb fingers as it glowed.

The ground underneath Skeeter Skimmer split right open, much to the surprise of the Insect-type, Helpprincess and Whip Snake. Skeeter Skimmer fell down into the fissure, before he dispersed into sparkles with the ground mending back together. "What just happened!?" Yuya questioned with wide eyes as he stopped running and shot around, looking down at the ground with wide eyes with Whip Snake and Helpprincess floating in front of him.

"The Spell card destroys your weakest monster". Sledgehammer explained the Spell card's effect, before he jumped off the stone circle. He slammed onto the ground on his feet, kicking up dust from the impact, but he seemed unaffected by the order as he lifted his head to look up at Yuya. He took one of his cards with his right hand and held it out. "Now, I activate Pot of Greed!" The "champion" of Paradise City cried out as he slotted the card into his Duel Disk, before a green pot with a greedy face appeared in front of him.

"This card allows me to draw 2 more cards!" The adult man explained his Spell's effect as he drew two more cards from his deck with his right hand, while the pot shattered. He added the two cards to his hand, before he took one of them and held it up. "I Summon Granite Battleguard!" The 'champion' called out, picking up one of the two cards and swiping it onto his Duel Disk's blade. Granite Battleguard appeared in front of his Duelist, swinging his club around.

Granite Battleguard ATK Points: 1000/ Level: 3.

"When this card is Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon Boulder Battleguard from my hand!" The 'champion' explained his monster's special ability, before he took the last card in his hand and placed it on his blade. Boulder Battleguard appeared besides Granite Battleguard and swung his club around.

Boulder Battleguard ATK Points: 1200/ Level: 4.

The Sledgehammer took the last card in his hand and held it out with his right hand. "Now, I activate the Spell card, Star Changer!" Sledgehammer called out, before he slotted the card into his Duel Disk. The card materialized on the field and gleamed brightly, before a single yellow star came out and flew around Granite Battleguard. "With this Spell's power, I can either increase Granite Battleguard's Level by 1, or decrease its Level! And I choose to increase its Level!" The adult man called out, thrusting his right hand into the sky with his index finger out. The star was absorbed into Granite Battleguard's body, causing him to start glowing white.

Granite Battleguard Level: 3 + 1 = 4.

"Now, bear witness to the fruits of my training! I Overlay Level 4 Granite Battleguard and Level 4 Boulder Battleguard!" Sledgehammer called out, swiping his right hand up into the sky as both Granite Battleguard and Boulder Battleguard turned into brown bright lights, before they flew into the air. "With these two monsters, I build the Overlay Network!" The 'champion' called out as a galaxy-like portal appeared in front of him with the two brown lights diving into it.

"I Xyz Summon! Battleguard Gladiator!" Sledgehammer called out as his new monster slowly rose up from the galaxy portal. It was a black skin Battleguard monster wearing a dark gladiator outfit with a dark blue cape, a silver helmet on its head that showed its red eyes and razor sharp teeth. He wielded a one-handed sword with its right hand, and a circle shape shield with its right hand. Battleguard Gladiator let out a powerful roar as two brown overlay units circled around it.

(Battleguard Gladiator/ Rank: 4/ Attribute: Earth/ Type: Warrior/ Xyz/ Effect/ ATK Points: 2300/ DEF Points: 1700/ Requirements: Two Warrior-Type monsters/ Effect: If this card destroys an opponent's monster in battle and sends it to the Graveyard; you can detach one Xyz Material from this card, equip the destroyed monster to this card. This card gains ATK equal to the combined ATK of the monsters equipped to it. If this card was Xyz Summoned using Battleguard monsters, if this card battles an opponent's monster, you can switch its Battle position.)

"It's here! The Sledgehammer's new Xyz Monster has finally made its appearance!" Nico cried out in excitement on his microphone, staring at Battleguard Gladiator in awe. The crowd cheered out in excitement at seeing the Xyz Monster of their 'champion', while Yuya narrowed his eyes at the sight of it.

Zuzu, Gong and Skip all looked worried for Yuya, while Yusei, Lulu, Rin and Yoko looked at Battleguard Gladiator as it stood besides the Sledgehammer on his right. "So that's the Sledgehammer's new Xyz Monster. Doesn't look that impressive". Rin commented with an unimpressed look on her face. "Don't underestimate it. Xyz Monsters possess powerful effects, and the lack of ATK Points must mean they're powerful". Lulu told her sister, turning her head left to look at Rin.

"Lulu's right. Monsters with low ATK Points usually means a powerful effect. Who knows what that Gladiator can do?" Yoko said in agreement to the Mistress of Birds, having seen many monsters that had low ATK Points with powerful effects. "Yuya can handle whatever that thing can throw at him". Yusei remarked with his arms crossed, having full confidence that his student can handle the Xyz Monster.

"Battleguard Gladiator! Attack Performapal Whip Snake!" Sledgehammer commanded his Xyz Monster, pointing towards the terrified looking Whip Snake with his left hand's index finger. Battleguard Gladiator's eyes flashed red for a moment, before he unleashed a powerful roar as he started charging towards the terrified looking Whip Snake. It swung its sword at the Reptile-Type monster, causing it to disperse into particles and creating a small gust of wind. (2300 – 1700 = 600)

Yuya Life Points: 5500 – 600 = 4900.

Yuya nearly flinched at his monster's destruction and held up his left arm to protect his eyes from the gust of wind. "I activate Battleguard Gladiator's special ability! When this card destroys an opponent's monster, by using an Overlay unit, I can equip the destroyed monster to Gladiator, and he gains the equipped monster's ATK Points!" Sledgehammer explained his Xyz Monster's effect as one of Battleguard Gladiator's Overlay Units was absorbed into its sword, causing it to glow bright purple as it slightly changed forms.

The glowing stopped to reveal the handle of the sword was now Whip Snake's head with the blade coming out of its mouth. A purple aura appeared over Battleguard Gladiator, before it unleashed a powerful roar, creating a powerful gust of wind that blew a few virtual leaves from the tress into the air.

Battleguard Gladiator ATK Points: 2300 + 1700 = 4000.

"Wow! Check out that big boy! He didn't just get an accessory from Whip Snake, but even his ATK Points as well, raising them up to 4000! I don't know how Yuya's gonna get out of this!" The Sledgehammer's manager called out on his microphone with wide eyes, causing the crowd to roar out in excitement. "I end my turn here!" Sledgehammer declared his turn over, turning it over to Yuya.

(Play Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's - Sound Duel 1 - 19. Yusei Battle)

Yuya Life Points: 4900/ Number of cards in hand: 3.

"It's my turn now!" Yuya called out as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion by taking a hold of the top card with his right hand's index and middle fingers, before swiping his hand out with the card between his fingers. Yuya looked through the corner of his right eye to look at what he drew, before he grew a smirk at seeing what it was. 'Alright. Just what I needed to turn the tables'. The tomato hair styled boy thought to himself with a smirk, before he added the card to his hand.

Yuya turned right and began running off to search for an Action card with Helpprincess floating after him, only for them to come to a stop when Battleguard Gladiator blocked their path. "Looks like Battleguard Gladiator's blocking Yuya's way to find another Action card!" The Sledgehammer's manager commented as Yuya gritted his teeth, before he turned around and began running off in the other direction with Helpprincess following after him. However, Battleguard Gladiator jumped up into the air over Yuya and Helpprincess, before he landed in front of them and blocked their path once more.

"Don't even try to outrun Battleguard Gladiator; it'll just be a waste of time. He'll block your path always, keeping you from getting Action card. I, on the other hand, am free to collect Action cards". The Sledgehammer told Yuya with a smirk on his face, before he began running into the forest. Yuya gritted his teeth more as he watched his opponent search for an Action card, before he turned to face the Xyz Monster in front of him. "Then I'll just remove Gladiator! I'm Summoning Performapal Sword Fish to the field in ATK Mode!" Yuya called out as he picked up a card and swiped it onto his Duel Disk's blade. A blue portal appeared on the ground in front of Yuya, before Performapal Sword Fish floated out of it.

Performapal Sword Fish ATK Points: 600/ Level: 2.

Yuya then picked up another card with his right hand's index and middle fingers, before he flipped it over to reveal it to be Performapal Changeling Dragon. "By selecting a selecting a Wind Attribute, Dragon-type or Performapal monster I control, I'm allowed to Special Summon this card. Come on out, Performapal Changeling Dragon!" The teenage boy exclaimed, before he placed the card onto the blade. A rainbow portal appeared besides him, before Changeling Dragon came out of it, flying past Battleguard Gladiator and into the air.

Performapal Changeling Dragon ATK Points: 0/ Level: 1.

"If Changeling Dragon was Summoned through his effect, I can change his Level to the selected Performapal Monster from before and change its Level to that monster's Level, or keep his Level the way that it is! And I think I'll leave his Level just the way it is!" Yuya explained his Tuner Monster's effect, before swiping his right hand into the air.

"Level 1 Performapal Changeling Dragon tunes with Level 4 Performapal Helpprincess and Level 2 Performapal Sword Fish!" The tomato hair styled boy called out as Helpprincess flew to his right side, while Sword Fish flew to his left, before both monster flew into the air. Changeling Dragon let out a roar, before he transformed into a single green ring.

The ring chased after the two Performapal monsters, circling around them as they turned orange transparent, being scanned by the ring. Helpprincess transformed into four lights, while Swordfish became two lights. The lights lined up in the green ring, forming six lights, before a bright beam appeared and absorbed them and the rings. "I Synchro Summon the lovely, the amazing, the graceful skater, Odd-Eyes Skater!" Yuya called out to the heavens as the beam cleared to reveal Odd-Eyes Skater, before the female monster began spinning around at a fast peace. She suddenly stopped and released a gale of wind.

Odd-Eyes Skater ATK Points: 2400/ Level: 7.

"It's here! Yuya's Synchro Summon, taught to him by his master, Yusei Fudo! Let's see how well he does with Synchro Monsters!" Nico exclaimed in an excited voice, which was matched by the audience as they cheered in excitement. Yusei, Lulu, Rin, Yoko, Gong and Skip all smiled as they watched Odd-Eyes Skater float down besides Yuya, while Zuzu frowned at the Synchro Monster.

"Go Skater! Take out Battleguard Gladiator!" Yuya commanded his Synchro Monster as he swiped his right hand out to the Xyz Monster. Skater brought her hands up above her, before she began spinning at an incredible speed with her hair blowing. The Sledgehammer had just reached the other side of the Action field and just picked up an Action card from a bush. He brought up his Duel Disk as a screen appeared above the Duel Disk's screen, showing Yuya's face.

"Do you have a screw loose? Your monster is nowhere near as strong as Battleguard Gladiator". The 'champion' questioned the teenage boy with a frown on his face, making Yuya smirk at him from his side. "That's the thing. When Odd-Eyes Skater attacks at opponent's monster, that monster's effects are negated". Yuya revealed to the Sledgehammer, much to his shock as he widened his eyes.

Back on Yuya's side, Odd-Eyes Skater hurled blade shaped energy of wind at Battleguard Gladiator's sword, chipping the blade. "That means that Whip Snake is no longer equipped to him, and Gladiator's ATK Points return to normal!" The teenage boy told his opponent as Battleguard Gladiator's sword shattered into pieces, much to the Xyz Monster's shock.

Battleguard Gladiator ATK Points: 4000 – 1700 = 2300.

"But they won't remain normal for long! When Odd-Eyes Skater battles a Special Summoned monster, that monster's ATK Points are cut in half!" Yuya explained his Synchro Monster's special ability further as Odd-Eyes Skater hurled more blade shaped energy of wind at Battleguard Gladiator, cutting away at his armor and tearing his cape up.

Battleguard Gladiator ATK Points: 2300 – 1150 = 1150.

The Sledgehammer widened his eyes in panic, while Yuya grew a smirk on his face. "Skater, take it away!" The teenage boy commanded his Synchro Monster, swiping his right hand out and pointing towards Battleguard Gladiator with his index finger. Odd-Eyes Skater began spinning towards Battleguard Gladiator, but the Sledgehammer wouldn't allow it. "I activate the Action card, Evasion!" The bulky man called out as he held up the Action card with his right hand's index and middle fingers, before he swiped it into his Duel Disk.

Battleguard Gladiator leaped to the left, dodging the approaching spinning Odd-Eyes Skater and landed into the lake of the Action Field. "Oh… tough luck! Evasion negates an attack! And since the battle was canceled, Battleguard Gladiator's ATK Points return to normal!" Nico stated as a red aura covered Battleguard Gladiator, returning his power to normal.

Battleguard Gladiator ATK Points: 1150 + 1150 = 2300.

Yuya gave out an annoyed grunt, before he looked at his hand and saw his last two cards in hand. He picked up one of them with his right hand, before he slotted it into his Duel Disk. "I'll end my turn with a face down!" Yuya declared his turn over as a face down card appeared in front of him. Odd-Eyes Skater ceased spinning and returned to Yuya's side.

(Music end)

Sledgehammer Life Points: 3600/ Number of cards in hand: 0.

"My turn!" Sledgehammer called out as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion, taking a moment to look at the card, before he added it to his hand. He turned his head left and right, before he saw an Action card at the top of a pillar. "There! An Action card! Battleguard Gladiator, knock that pillar down!" Sledgehammer called out to his Xyz Monster, getting Battleguard Gladiator's attention as he turned around to look at the pillar.

Battleguard Gladiator gave a roar as he charged forward and rammed into the pillar, making it shake from the impact and causing the Action card to fall off and head towards the Sledgehammer. Yuya saw this, but didn't try to stop the Action card from getting into his opponent's hands. Instead, he turned around and began running up a rocky staircase up to the stone circle with Odd-Eyes Skater floating after him.

The Sledgehammer caught the card with his right hand and looked at it. Seeing what it was made the bulky man smirk, before he turned to look up at his opponent as Yuya made it to the stone circle. "Battleguard Gladiator, take out that skater!" The Sledgehammer commanded his Xyz Monster, pointing towards Odd-Eyes Skater with his left hand's index finger, while he kept a hold of his card with his middle, ring and pinkie fingers. Battleguard Gladiator let out a roar as it turned around, before he leaped high into the air.

"The Sledgehammer is picking a fight he can't win! Yuya's skater just barely has more points than his gladiator!" Nico called out on his microphone in surprise, which was shared by almost everyone in the stadium watching the duel. "I can win this fight with this card! The Action Spell, Assault!" The Sledgehammer called out as he held the Action card out, before it began glowing. "An attacking monster I control gains 600 ATK Points for the battle!" The 'champion' explained the Action Spell's effect as a white aura surrounded the charging Battleguard Gladiator.

Battleguard Gladiator ATK Points: 2300 + 600 = 2900.

"Your Battleguard Gladiator may be stronger now, but Odd-Eyes Skater isn't going anywhere! I play my Trap card, Scrap-Iron Scarecrow!" Yuya called out, holding up his right hand's index and middle fingers up, before he tapped his Duel Disk's screen. His face down card reappeared on his left, before it lifted itself up and was revealed to be Scrap-Iron Scarecrow. The Trap card glowed as the scarecrow came out and shot out towards Battleguard Gladiator.

The iron scarecrow slammed into Battleguard Gladiator's head, the force of the impact pushing them both back and making the Sledgehammer widen his eyes in surprise. The Xyz Monster took a few steps back, its right hand placed on its head. The iron scarecrow returned to Yuya's Trap card, before it reset itself face down. "Not only does my Trap negate your attack, it resets itself to be used next round". Yuya explained his Trap card with a smirk on his face, while the Sledgehammer gritted his teeth.

Battleguard Gladiator: 2900 – 600 = 2300.

"I set one card face down and end my turn!" The Sledgehammer declared his turn as he picked up his card and slotted it into his Duel Disk. A face down card appeared in front of him, before it disappeared and he took off.

Yuya Life Points: 4900/ Number of cards in hand: 1.

In the audience, Rin turned to look at Yusei with a smile on her face. "You were right about giving that card to Yuya. In an Action Duel, it's a good backup plan in case someone doesn't have an Action card". The Witch of the Wind said to her adoptive father, getting Yusei and Lulu to look at her. "Actually Rin, Yuya asked Yusei for a copy of a card of his. He wanted a card that always reminded him of Dad, and about the lessons he learned". The Mistress of Birds told her sister, getting Rin to look at her in surprise, before she turned to look up at Yusei, who nodded to confirm Lulu's words.

He turned to look back at the Duel and saw Yuya moving his right hand to the top card of his deck. "I gave Yuya a card that would help him out in both normal Duels, and in Action Duels. I figured Scrap-Iron Scarecrow was the best choice, so I gave it to him. Scrap-Iron Scarecrow represents one of the lessons I taught him that even the tiniest scarp has valor". The Shooting Star of Satellite told the two teenage girls as he watched his student with a proud smile, getting Lulu and Rin to smile at him, before they turned to look back down at the Duel.

"I draw!" Yuya called out as he drew his card with his right hand's index, middle and thumb fingers and held it in front of him. He narrowed his eyes in curiosity at seeing what it was, before he added his new card to his hand. "Let's try this one more time! Skater, attack Battleguard Gladiator!" Yuya called out, thrusting out his open right hand to the Xyz Monster. Skater shot out towards with her hair and scarf blowing in the breeze. "And just like before, Battleguard Gladiator's ATK Points are cut in half!" The tomato hair styled boy reminded his opponent as a blue aura appeared over Battleguard Gladiator.

Battleguard Gladiator ATK Points: 2300 – 1150 = 1150.

"Go Skating Slice Attack!" Yuya called out as Odd-Eyes Skater held up her hands in front of her face, her blades gleaming for a moment. Once she was close enough, Odd-Eyes Skater swiped her hands out, slicing through Battleguard Gladiator in an x shape slash, causing the Xyz Monster to explode. (2400 – 1150 = 1250)

Sledgehammer Life Points: 3600 – 1250 = 2350.

"Oh, talk about the humanity! Despite his best efforts, the gladiator lost to the skater!" Nico called out on his microphone with a wide smile on his face. The crowd cheered for Yuya, getting the teenage boy to smile at their cheers, before he turned to look back at the Sledgehammer, who was on the other side of the Action field. "I'll end my turn here!" Yuya declared his turn over, having nothing else to do.

Sledgehammer Life Points: 2350/ Number of cards in hand: 0.

"The Sledgehammer won't be going out that easily! I draw!" The bulky man exclaimed as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion with his right hand's index and middle fingers. Upon seeing what it was, Sledgehammer smirked as he played it right away. "I Summon the Tuner Monster, Battleguard Protector!" The Sledgehammer called out, swiping the card onto his Duel Disk's blade.

A portal appeared, before a white skin Battleguard monster appeared. It had yellow spiky hair, blue eyes, was wearing gray armor and held a massive shield with both its hands. The new monster let out a cry as it fell into the river.

(Battleguard Protector/ Level: 2/ Attribute: Earth/ Type: Warrior/ Tuner/ Effect/ ATK Points: 800/ DEF Points: 400/ Effect: If this card is the only monster you control when you Normal Summon it, you can select one Warrior-Type monster in your Graveyard, Special Summon it to your field in DEF Mode. If this card is used a Synchro Material for a 'Battleguard' Synchro Monster, that monster cannot be destroy in battle once.)

"That's a Tuner Monster!" Yuya said in realization, having a good idea what the Sledgehammer was planning next. "When Battleguard Protector is the only monster I control when I Summon it, I can Special Summon a Warrior-Type monster from the Graveyard in DEF Mode!" The Sledgehammer explained his monster's special ability as a card slotted out of his Duel Disk, which he took hold of with his right hand's index, middle and thumb fingers. "I bring back Boulder Battleguard!" The bulky man exclaimed, before he placed the card on the blade. Battleguard Protector's giant shield gleamed brightly, before Boulder Battleguard came out of it and landed besides his fellow Warrior-Type monster.

Boulder Battleguard DEF Points: 1000/ Level: 4.

"But he won't be sticking around for long! Level 2 Battleguard Protector tunes with Level 4 Boulder Battleguard!" The Sledgehammer called out to the heavens as Boulder Battleguard jumped into the air, while Protector transformed into 2 green rings that chased after him. "A Synchro Summon!?" Yuya called out in surprise, even thought he knew that the Sledgehammer could do it before the duel began.

"Surprised? Well don't be!" The bulky man told his opponent as the two rings circled around Boulder Battleguard, scanning him with the Warrior-Type monster turning orange transparent, before turning into 4 lights. The lights lined up within the green rings, before a bright beam appeared and absorbed the lights and rings.

"I Synchro Summon! Battleguard Knight!" The Sledgehammer called out as the bright beam cleared to reveal his new monster. It was a dark blue skin wearing dark gray plus size armor like a knight that covered his body. His gauntlets were shaped as claws instead of normal fingers. He had a jet black cape around his shoulders that reached the ground, a short sword and greatsword strapped to the front of his armor. On his shoulders, he had pauldrons. He had a great helm on his head that showed his yellow beast eyes. The new monster drew his greatsword from its scabbard attached to its chest with both his hands, before he swung it down, creating a powerful gust of wind.

(Battleguard Knight/ Level: 6/ Attribute: Earth/ Type: Warrior/ Synchro/ Effect/ ATK Points: 2800/ DEF Points: 1600/ Effect: This card cannot be targeted by Spells or Traps. If this card declares an attack on a Special Summon monster your opponent controls, it gains 200 ATK Points for every 'Battleguard' monster you control.)

"Things are getting hot up in here! The Sledgehammer has now Synchro Summoned his ace Synchro Monster!" Nico called out with a grin on his face. "Battleguard Knight, attack Odd-Eyes Skater!" Sledgehammer commanded his Synchro Monster, swiping his left hand out and pointing towards Yuya's Synchro Monster with his index finger. Battleguard Beast let out a fierce roar as it held up its greatsword, before it leaped at Odd-Eyes Skater.

"Did you forget about my Trap card?" Yuya called out as his face down card reappeared and revealed itself once more, before the iron scarecrow came up. "I forgot nothing! I play my Trap, Battleguard Stun!" Sledgehammer called out as his face down card revealed itself to be a Trap card. The image showed Battleguard King stomping on the Trap card, Mirror Force with its left foot.

(Battleguard Stun/ Counter Trap/ Effect: During the Battle Phase when your opponent activates a Spell or Trap card, you can negate and destroy the activated card if you control a 'Battleguard' monster.)

"During the Battle Phase and when you activate a Spell or Trap card, Battleguard Stun negates and destroys it if I control a Battleguard monster!" The bulky man explained his Trap card's effect with a smirk on his face, while Yuya gritted his teeth in slight anger as the iron scarecrow and Scrap-Iron Scarecrow's card shattered into particles. "When Battleguard King attacks a Special Summoned monster, it gains 200 ATK Points for every Battleguard monster I control". The Sledgehammer explained his monster's effect as Battleguard Knight powered up.

Battleguard Knight ATK Points: 2800 + 200 = 3000.

Battleguard Knight fell from the sky and swung his sword down on Odd-Eyes Skater, making her cry out in pain, before she shattered into particles. Yuya used his right arm to shield his face from the shockwaves. (3000 – 2400 = 600)

Yuya Life Points: 4900 – 600 = 4300.

Battleguard Knight fell to the ground, kicking up dust from landing. Yuya moved his right hand away from his face, before thrusting it out. "Odd-Eyes Skater may be gone, but she leaves something for me! When she's destroyed, I can add an Odd-Eyes card from my deck to my hand!" Yuya explained his Synchro Monster's last effect as his deck started shuffling for a few seconds, before it stopped and a card slotted out. Yuya picked the card up with his right hand's index and middle fingers, before he held it up, revealing it to be Odd-Eyes Dragon.

"And I choose my ace, Odd-Eyes Dragon!" The teenage boy called out, before he added the card to his hand. "Ha! I'm not afraid of some lizard. I end my turn here!" The Sledgehammer declared his turn over, while Battleguard Knight leaped back into the river in front of him.

Yuya Life Points: 4300/ Number of cards in hand: 3.

"My turn now!" Yuya called out as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion with his right hand, before he held it in front of him to look at it. A screen appeared above his Duel Disk's screen, getting Yuya to look at it to see the Sledgehammer. "I thought you should know something. Thanks to Battleguard Protector being used as Synchro Material, Battleguard Knight cannot be destroyed in battle once. And another thing, he cannot be targeted by Spells or Traps". The bulky man told the teenage boy with a smug grin on his face, getting Yuya to narrow his eyes.

'That's a bit of a problem'. The tomato hair styled boy thought to himself, before he looked at his cards. He grew a smirk on his face as he figured out a strategy to take care of his opponent's Synchro Monster. 'Lucky, I know just the monster to deal with this. But the problem is that it'll be open for an attack. Guess I'll need an Action card'. Yuya thought to himself, before he held up the card that he drew. "I Summon Performapal Flip Hippo!" Yuya called out as he placed the card onto the blade. A portal appeared as a gleaming figure jumped out of it, before the gleam disappeared to reveal it to be Performapal Flip Hippo.

Performapal Flip Hippo ATK Points: 800/ Level: 3.

The chocolate coloured hippo landed besides its Duelist on his left. Yuya quickly hopped on, before Flip Hippo began taking off down the stone circle's path. Flip Hippo continued running, heading towards the edge, while Yuya picked up another card from his hand. "When Flip Hippo is Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon another Performapal monster from my hand! Come on out, Performapal Friendonkey!" Yuya explained his monster's special ability, before he swiped the card on the blade. A portal appeared besides the running Flip Hippo, before Performapal Fiendonkey came out of it, running as well.

Performapal Friendonkey ATK Points: 1600/ Level: 3.

Performapal Flip Hippo then jumped off the stone circle, heading towards one of the rocky pillars and landed atop it. Yuya climbed off his monster's back, before he took notice of an Action card a little bit away. He ran towards the card and picked it up, while Friendonkey landed besides Flip Hippo. 'This'll help later, right now; time to get rid of that knight'. The teenage boy thought to himself with narrowed eyes as he added the card to his hand, before swiping his right hand into the air.

"I Overlay Level 3 Performapal Friendonkey and Performapal Flip Hippo!" Yuya called out to the heavens as both Friendonkey and Flip Hippo turned into brown bright lights, before they flew into the air. "With these two monsters, I build the Overlay Network!" The teenage boy called out as a galaxy portal appeared in the sky with the two brown lights flying into it.

Lightning burst out from the portal and into the air. "I Xyz Summon! Performapal Traveling Ghost Bat!" Yuya called out as his new monster came out. It was a big white ghost bat, big enough for Yuya to ride on, with black eyes and two black Overlay Units circling around it. Performapal Traveling Ghost Bat let out a fierce screech as it flew into the air.

(Performapal Traveling Ghost Bat/ Rank: 3/ Attribute: Dark/ ATK Points: 2100/ DEF Points: 500/ Type: Zombie/ Effect/ Xyz/ Requirements: Two Level 3 monsters/ Effect: Once per turn, you can detach one Xyz Material from this card, target one face-up monster your opponent controls; negate its effect and send it to the Graveyard, and inflict 100 points of damage equal to the selected monster's Level/Rank to your opponent. If you used this effect, this card cannot attack this turn.)

"Now Yuya has Xyz Summoned a Xyz Monster! But its ATK Points are not enough to match up to Battleguard Knight's ATK Points!" Nico called out on his microphone in an excited tone, eager to see what Yuya does next. Up in the audience, Lulu smiled at seeing Yuya's Xyz Monster, glad to see him using the Summoning method that she taught him. Yoko looked at the purpled haired girl and saw her smile, causing the young looking mother to smile as well.

"Go Yuya! Win and get us that new ARC System!" Skip called out to the tomato hair styled boy, only to cry out in surprise when Zuzu brought out her fan again and smacked him with it. The pink haired girl had a frown on her face at seeing Yuya's Xyz Monster, before she turned her frown on the unsuspecting Lulu.

However, Rin took notice of Zuzu frowning at her sister, causing the Witch of the Wind to return the frown as she blocked the pink haired girl's view of Lulu. The two girls frowned at each other for a few moments, before Zuzu went back to watching the duel. Rin kept frowning at her for a few seconds, before she returned to watching the Duel.

"Your big bat has nothing on my knight. He'll crush it on my next turn". The Sledgehammer said to Yuya, talking to him through a screen above his Duel Disk's screen. Yuya gave a smirk in response from his side, before he looked up and saw Traveling Ghost Bat flying above him. "We'll see about that. Ghost Bat, go on and show your stuff!" Yuya told his Xyz Monster with a confident voice, getting Ghost Bat to look down at his duelist and nod to him.

Performapal Traveling Ghost Bat looked at Battleguard Knight, before he began flying towards him. "By using an Overlay Unit, Traveling Ghost Bat can not only negate your monster's effect, but send it to the Graveyard". Yuya explained Traveling Ghost Bat's special ability with a smirk, much to the Sledgehammer's surprise. The Zombie-Type monster ate one of its Overlay Units, before it glowed black and multiplied into thousands of little versions of itself.

The swarm of ghost bats all flew down towards Battleguard King. The Synchro Monster swung his sword at the swarm, but they all dodged him. He kept on swinging, and kept missing until eventually, the swarm of bats covered him from view. "Now, time for a disappearing act. One, two, three, Abracadabra!" Yuya called out, rising up his right hand, before snapping his fingers. The bats all flew away and revealed that Battleguard Knight had disappeared, much to everyone's surprise. "Oh my! Battleguard Knight really did disappear! Looks like Yuya's got some tricks up his sleeve!" Nico called out in his microphone in surprise, having not expected a disappearing act.

"And the best part is that you take 100 points of damage equal to the selected monster's Level. Since Battleguard Knight was Level 6, that's 600 points of damage". Yuya told his opponent with a smirk on his face as some of the bats surrounded Sledgehammer and screeched at him, making him cover his ears from the sound.

Sledgehammer Life Points: 2350 – 600 = 1750.

"Luckily for you is that Traveling Ghost Bat can't attack on the turn that he uses this effect". The teenage boy told his opponent as the swarm of bats gathered together in the sky, before reforming into Performapal Traveling Ghost Bat. "I'll end my turn here!" Yuya declared his turn over, before he jumped off the rocky pillar and landed on Ghost Bat's back when he flew in for his Duelist to land on.

Sledgehammer Life Points: 1750/ Number of cards in hand: 0.

"Cheese burgers! This Duel has been one intense one! It's gone both ways for both duelists, and the outcome hasn't been decided yet! What can the Sledgehammer do with zero cards in hand!" Nico called out on his microphone, his voice full of excitement at watching the excited duel. The excitement was shared by the audience as they all cheered for the exciting duel taking place.

Sledgehammer looked up at the flying form of Performapal Traveling Ghost Bat as the Xyz Monster flew past him. "The Sledgehammer isn't done yet! I draw!" The bulky man exclaimed as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion with his right hand's index, middle and thumb fingers. Flipping the card over to see what it was, Sledgehammer grew a smirk at seeing what it was. "I activate the Spell card, Card of Demise!" The Sledgehammer called out, swiping the card into his Duel Disk with the Spell materializing in front of him.

"This card allows me to draw until I have 5 cards!" The Sledgehammer explained his Spell card's effect as he began drawing cards from his deck, until he held five cards up into the air with his right hand. "And just like that, the Sledgehammer refilled his hand!" Sledgehammer's manager pointed out as the bulky man looked at the cards he drew, before he grew a smirk on his face.

He transferred his cards over to his left hand, before he took one of them and held it up. "I activate the Spell card, Polymerization!" The Sledgehammer called out as he slotted his Spell card into his Duel Disk. The Spell card appeared in front of the bulky man, before it began glowing.

At the sight of the Spell card, Lulu widened her eyes in fear, before she took a step back and started hyperventilating. Yusei, Rin and Yoko all turned to look at her in concern, while Skip, Gong and Zuzu were too focused on the Duel. Despite the month of peace, Lulu still harbored great fear towards Fusion Summoning, and Fusion Monsters, despite Yusei's attempts of telling her not to fear the Summoning method, or the Fusion Monsters. Whenever she sees Fusion Summoning, Fusion Monsters, Fusion cards or even hears the word Fusion, her mind instantly thinks back to the invasion of her home land and how Fusion Monsters destroyed her home.

Yoko wrapped her left arm around Lulu's shoulders and brought her into one arm hug to help calm her down. Yoko had learned of Lulu's fear of Fusion one afternoon after the two had gone shopping together. They were passing through the park, when a monitor up above them showed a championship duel between two pro duelists with one of them Fusion Summoning. At the sight of it, even if it was on TV, Lulu began having a panic attack, much to Yoko's immediate concern.

Yoko had to take Lulu straight back to her house. Yuya wasn't home as he was in the middle of a lesson with Yusei. After a comforting hug and words, Lulu was able to calm down from her panic attack. The only downside is that Yoko demanded an explanation from her on why she freaked out at seeing a Fusion Summon. Lulu had to make up a lie to not reveal her secret, so she just told Yoko that she was bullied by someone who used Fusion Summoning in her past, thus causing her to have a panic attack whenever she sees Fusion.

Yoko didn't buy the lie, but decided to leave the subject alone as she could tell that Lulu really didn't want to continue the conversation any further. So, she dropped the subject and told Lulu that she doesn't have to tell her now, but when she was ready. Lulu was happy that Yoko respected her decision, but was worried that one day she'll have to reveal her secret to the kind young mother that she's grown to care for.

"It's okay Lulu, calm down. Just take deep breaths; nothing is gonna happen to you". Yoko said to the Mistress of Birds in a soft and comforting voice, rubbing her left arm down Lulu's left bicep to help calm her down. Lulu took deep breaths as she began to calm down, before she gave Yoko a thankful smile. The young looking mother returned the smile, before she looked at Yusei and Rin, and saw their thankful looks.

(Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's - Sound Duel 2 - Disc 1 - 03. Unleash Force)

Back to the duel, the Sledgehammer took two cards from the four in his left hand, before he held the cards up into the air. "With my Spell card's power, I fuse Shaman Battleguard from my hand with another Lava Battleguard!" The bulky man exclaimed, sending the two cards to his Graveyard. Shaman Battleguard and Lava Battleguard appeared in front of him, before they both jumped into a purple swirling portal in the air and were absorbed into it.

"With these two Battleguards, a new Battleguard legend will be created! I Fusion Summon! Battleguard Warlock!" Sledgehammer exclaimed to the heavens as his new monster fell from the portal and crashed onto the field, kicking up dust from the impact. It was a purple skin Battleguard monster with dark green spiky hair and flaming green eyes. It wore purple snake armor with green glowing accents and skulls. It had a skull headgear and skull shoulder guards on its shoulders. (Imagine the Nemesis Raiment armor from World of Warcraft)

In the Fusion Monster's right hand was a skull themed staff with a skeleton's head at the top, only the eye sockets had red flames in them. The new monster let out a roar, holding up its skull staff as it unleashed a bright red light.

(Battleguard Warlock King/ Level 8/ EARTH/ Beast Warrior/ ATK: 3200 DEF: 3000/ Requirements: 2 or more Battleguard monsters/ Effect: When this card is Summoned successfully; reduce an opponent's monster's ATK by 500 for each monster used as Fusion Material for this card. If this card destroys an opponent's monster in battle, Summon a Warlock Token (Warlock Token/ Level: 1/ ATK Points: 0/ DEF: 0/ Type: Rock/ Attribute: Earth) to your side of the field. For every Warlock Token on the field, all Battleguard monsters gains 200 ATK Points. So long as Warlock King is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot target Warlock Tokens for attacks.)

"And it is here! The Sledgehammer's Fusion Monster has finally made its appearance!" Nico called out in excitement, which was shared as the crowd cheered out for their 'champion'. Traveling Ghost Bat stopped in mid-air, flapping his wings to stay airborne, while Yuya looked at the Fusion Monster with narrowed eyes. "This must be the Sledgehammer's last ace monster". The teenage boy assumed, before looking down at the three cards in his hand.

"When Warlock King is Summoned successfully, your monster's ATK Points go down by 500 for every monster used as Fusion Material! Since I used two monsters, that's 1000 Points!" Sledgehammer explained his Fusion Monster's special ability to his opponent, making Yuya widen his eyes in surprise. Warlock King raised up its staff, before flames shout out of the flaming eyes of the staff and formed into flaming forms of Shaman Battleguard and Lava Battleguard. The two flaming creatures let out fierce roars as they shot out towards Ghost Bat, striking the Zombie-Type monster and making it screech in pain as its skin burned. "Ghost Bat!" Yuya exclaimed in concern for his monster as Ghost Bat's ATK Points went down.

Performapal Traveling Ghost Bat ATK Points: 2100 – 1000 = 1100.

"This is not good for Yuya! His bat's about to get its wings clipped, along with his Life Points!" Nico called out on his microphone, while the Sledgehammer smirked as he walked up to his Fusion Monster's right side. The Fusion Monster knelt down and held its right hand down for his master to hop onto, which the bulky man did as he jumped on. With his duelist secured, Warlock King raised up to his feet fully.

Sledgehammer thrust his right hand out towards Performapal Traveling Ghost Bat. "Warlock, reduce that bat to ash! Fel Blast!" The bulky man commanded his Fusion Monster, getting Warlock King's eyes to flash for a moment, before it unleashed a powerful roar. It held up its staff once more as dark green energy began gathering in the mouth of the skull head. Ghost Bat gave a screech, before it began flying off in the other direction.

Warlock King fired a dark green blast from its staff that chased after the Xyz Monster. Ghost Bat flew in low into the forest, which the dark blast followed after him. The Xyz Monster flew past a few trees, while the dark green blast blasted right through them. Yuya looked over his right shoulder to see the dark blast getting closer at a fast rate. The tomato hair styled boy gritted his teeth, before he looked back at his Xyz Monster and saw that Ghost Bat had turned its head right to look at his duelist.

Ghost Bat gave his duelist a nod, telling him its okay. Yuya softened his gaze on his Xyz Monster, before he returned the nod to Ghost Bat. "Your sacrifice won't be in vein". Yuya whispered to his Xyz Monster, before he jumped off Ghost Bat's back and into the air. Yuya landed on the ground on his feet, before he lifted his head to look up to see Ghost Bat flying into the air above the Action field. Everyone watched Ghost Bat fly into the air, before the dark green blast struck him and created an explosion in the air.

Yuya gritted his teeth in rage for his monster's destruction, before he took his Action card in his hand and slotted it into his Duel Disk. "I activate the Action Spell, Damage Banish!" The teenage boy called out as the Action card appeared in his Duel Disk's screen. "Thanks to this, the battle damage is reduced to 0!" Yuya explained the Action card's effect, looking at the screen as it showed his Life Points untouched.

"Talk about cutting it close! If it wasn't for Damage Banish, Yuya would have lost of total of 2100 Life Points!" Nico called out on his microphone in surprise, before he held up a monitor that showed Damage Banish. "Damage Banish reduces battle damage from any battle to 0. Yuya picked it up on his turn that he Summoned his bat friend!" The manager of the Sledgehammer explained the Action card's effect to the audience, before he put the monitor down.

The Sledgehammer slightly narrowed his eyes in annoyance, before he drew a smirk on his face. "When Warlock King destroys an opponent's monster, I can Summon a Warlock Token to the field!" The bulky man explained one of his monster's special ability as a glowing portal appeared on the ground besides Warlock King, before an ancient rune monolith appeared from within it.

Warlock Token DEF Points: 0/ Level: 1.

"If you think you can attack my tokens, think again! So long Battleguard Warlock King is on the field, you cannot select any Warlock Tokens to attack. And the best part is that for every Warlock Token on the field, Warlock King gains 200 ATK Points!" The Sledgehammer explained his Fusion Monster's special ability as the rune monolith gained a dark green aura around it, before it was transferred over to Battleguard Warlock King, increasing his power.

Battleguard Warlock King ATK Points: 3200 + 200 = 3400.

"Oh dear! Every time that Warlock King destroys a monster, the Sledgehammer will get another token, and it'll increase his monster's ATK Points by 200! Worst of all, Yuya can't even attack any of the tokens as long as that king stays in the field! I hope Yuya has something in his deck that can turn this around!" Nico called out with wide eyes at witnessing the power of Warlock King, while the audience watched silently as they realized that Yuya was in a pinch.

The Sledgehammer grew a smirk on his face, while Yuya ran into an open field, before he looked up at his opponent and his Fusion Monster. Warlock King turned around and began walking up to the castle. Once he was close enough, the Fusion Monster raised its right hand up to the castle's bench that the two Duelists were at the beginning of the duel. Sledgehammer jumped from his monster's hand onto the castle's bench.

Both Sledgehammer and Warlock King turned back around to face Yuya, before the bulky man held up his last two cards with his right hand. "I shall set two cards face down and end my turn here!" The Sledgehammer declared his turn over as he slotted the two cards into his Duel Disk. Two face down cards appeared in front of the bulky man over the edge, before they disappeared from view.

(Music end)

Yuya Life Points: 4300/ Number of cards in hand: 2.

"It is useless to continue to resist, but go ahead and draw!" The bulky man exclaimed as he pointed towards Yuya with his right hand's index finger, before he looked down at his Duel Disk's screen. 'It is hopeless for him. My face down, Sakurestsu Armor will return his attack back at him and destroy his monster. And if he goes for my Life Points with a card effect, my other Trap, Gift of the Mystical Elf will increase my Life Points. It is hopeless for him'. The Sledgehammer thought to himself with a smirk on his face, confident of his victory.

He looked down at Yuya, who was looking up at him from the open field. "Maybe you should do a disappearing act, kid. After all, like father, like son". The 'champion' mocked Yuya with a smirk on his face, making the teenage boy glare up at him. "Not on your life! My master taught me to never run from my opponent, so I'm gonna stand my ground!" Yuya retaliated at his opponent, before he looked down at his two cards.

He currently had his ace Odd-Eyes Dragon, and Performapal Springoose. 'Not exactly the best hand right now, but I'm not giving up. Yusei told me to never give up, and I'll sure to be rewarded'. The tomato hair styled boy thought to himself with narrowed eyes, before he looked at the top card of his deck.

Back in the audience, Lulu, Rin, Skip, Zuzu and Gong all looked worried for Yuya, while Yusei and Yoko had natural expressions on their faces. "Yuya…" Lulu whispered in concern for her friend, worried that he could lose to the Sledgehammer. Zuzu had her teeth gritted, before she swallowed her pride and turned to look at Yusei. "Is there a chance for him to turn this around?" The pink haired girl questioned the Shooting Star of Satellite, her concern for her childhood friend stronger than her dislike for Yusei.

Yusei nodded instantly without turning to face her. "He can and he will. All he needs to do is not give up and believe in his cards". The Shooting Star of Satellite answered the pink haired girl; having full confidence that his student can turn this duel around. "Come on Yuya! Take out that muscle head!" Rin called out in encouragement, keeping her belief for her friend strong.

Yuya placed his right hand's index, middle and thumb fingers on the top card of his deck and closed his eyes. He took a sigh, before he shot open his eyes. "I draw!" The teenage boy called out as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion with his right hand, before he held it up in front of him to see what it was.

"I activate the Spell card, Odd-Eyes Draw!" Yuya called out as he swiped his right hand out, revealing the card to be a Spell card. The image showed three cards with the eyes and gem of Odd-Eyes Dragon in front of them, looking see through for the cards behind them to be seen.

(Odd-Eyes Draw/ Type: Spell/ Effect: Send one Odd-Eyes card from your side of the field or hand to the Graveyard, draw 3 cards from your deck.)

"By discarding an Odd-Eyes card from my hand or field, I get to draw 3 cards!" Yuya explained his Spell card's effect as he sent the card to the Graveyard zone of his Duel Disk, before he picked up Odd-Eyes Dragon's card with his right hand and held it out. "And I got one right here! My Odd-Eyes Dragon!" The teenage boy called out as he sent the card to the Graveyard zone of his Duel Disk, before he drew 3 more cards from his deck.

Yuya looked at the 3 cards that he was now holding with his right hand and saw that they were Stargazer Magician, Timegazer Magican and Pot of Greed. 'My deck is trying to tell me something. Let's see what its saying'. The teenage boy thought to himself as he added the three cards to his hand, before he picked up Pot of Greed's card. "Now I activate the Spell card, Pot of Greed!" Yuya called out as he slotted the Spell card into his Duel Disk, before the card materialized on the field.

"This lets me draw 2 more cards from my deck!" The teenage boy explained his Spell card's effect, before he looked down at his deck. 'The key to dueling is to believe in your deck, and yourself. When you're falling behind, you can always make things swing your way again. So don't worry about anything, just try to enjoy the ride. Whenever you're lost, this pendent will show you the way you need to go'. A familiar voice, Yusho's voice, said from within Yuya's mind, reminding him of his important lesson that he learned long ago.

"Time to swing into action!" Yuya called out with a determined voice, refusing to give up. Unknown to him, his pendant began swinging back and forth. "Swing, Pendulum! More and more!" Yuya called out as he placed his right hand's fingers on his deck, before he drew his two cards in a dramatic fashion, even leaving a golden light from both his cards and Duel Disk. Yuya's pendant began glowing bright blue as it released an unknown power. In Yuya's hands, his Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magician began glowing, along with the two cards that he drew.

Yuya watched with his mouth wide open as his cards glow, before they proceeded to transform in front of him. Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magician turned from orange to half-orange, half-green and gained an additional effect box with arrows on both sides. The two cards he drew were both blank, before they transformed as well. One of them became just like the two magicians, while the other one became a Spell card.

Yuya looked at the four cards in disbelief as his mind suddenly working on its own, before he suddenly figured out what to do with his new cards. Yuya gained a determine look on his face, before he looked forward with his pendant glowing a bright blue colour. "I'll use Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magician to set the Pendulum Scale…!" Yuya called out as he held up Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magician's cards with his right hand's index and middle fingers, before swiping his arm out to the side.

"I'm taking control of this duel, starting now!" The teenage boy continued as he placed his cards on the edges of his Duel Disk. The words 'Pendulum' appeared across the blade in rainbow colours. Both Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magician appeared in a mysterious light as they were inside blue pillars of energy with the numbers '1' underneath Stargazer Magician, while '8' was underneath Timegazer Magician. Suddenly, a giant copy of Yuya's pendent appeared between the two magicians, circling around in a small circle. "Now thanks to this, I'm allowed to Summon monsters between Levels 2 to 7 all at the same time!" Yuya called out with a determine voice, his eyes showing a powerful resolve.

The Sledgehammer had wide eyes of shock as he watched Yuya. "What's that kid doing?" The bulky man questioned in shock, but wouldn't receive an answer. "Swing far pendulum! Carve the arc of victory!" Yuya chanted as the giant copy of his pendent swung between his two monsters. "My monsters are ready to swing into action!" Yuya called out into the heavens as he swung his right hand into the air to the giant pendulum as it drew an arc, creating a portal with two flashes of light shooting out from within it, one of them being green and the other being purple.

"First up is Performapal Springoose!" Yuya called out as the green light cleared to reveal Performapal Springoose.

Performapal Springoose ATK Points: 1100/ Level: 5.

"And now for my new monster! Turn up the heat, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" The teenage boy called out as the purple light cleared to reveal a new monster that looked a little like Odd-Eyes Dragon, like it was an evolved form. Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon was a little bigger than Odd-Eyes Dragon, had coloured spheres on his head and back body parts, and also had what looked like a blue-coloured jewel sticking out of its chest with armor around it. Its spikes were even different than before with a red and green orbs on them, even having horns on its head now that pointed backwards. The new dragon let out a fearsome roar, creating a gust of wind.

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon ATK Points: 2500/ Level: 7.

Everyone in the stadium had wide eyes of disbelief, shock and awe at witnessing what just happened. Even the serious looking Yusei had a look of shock on his face at what he just witnessed from his student. "What the…" Rin said in disbelief at what she just witnessed from her friend. "I can't believe what Yuya just did". Lulu whispered with wide eyes, having never seen anything like this before. "How'd Yuya do that?" Zuzu questioned everyone, her voice full of awe at witnessing the unknown Summoning. "Got Gong". Gong answered in a disbelief voice, having no idea what just happened.

(Meanwhile in the Leo Institute building)

In the repaired monitor room, it was full of men and women working with the head chief watching them from the platform above. It had taken some time to repair the damage that had been done from Stardust Dragon's Synchro energy, but they managed to repair everything and even upgrade it so that what happened before will never happen again.

One of the holographic screens that were showing Paradise City began acting up. "Sir! I picked up an unusual Summoning signal from the city's coastal zone. The reading is off the charts!" One of the workers told the head chief, getting his attention as he shot up from his seat. "Analysis, quick!" The head chief told the workers as they began analyzing what the Summoning was.

"I have the results, sir". One of the female workers stated as she looked up at the screen. "If the wave patterns are correct, someone is using… Pendulum energy?" The woman said in a confused voice as the screen showed the word 'Pendulum'. "Pendulum energy!? The head chief exclaimed in confusion, having never heard or seen Pendulum energy.

(Back at the Dueling arena)

Yuya back jumped onto Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's head and grabbed hold of his horns, while keeping a hold of his last card with his left hand's middle and ring fingers. "The kid Summon two high Level monsters at once. I should be the one flexing my muscles at this clown. How can a puny boy like him posses such a powerful maneuver? It must be a trick". The bulky man questioned, looking down at his Duel Disk. A screen appeared besides his Duel Disk's screen, showing Nico, who looked just as shocked as him.

"I'm stunned too. But if this move wasn't legit, the judges would have intervened". The Sledgehammer's manager told the bulky man, getting him to grit his teeth in anger. "Where did he learn this Pendulum Summon?" The 'champion' of Paradise City questioned, before he grew an arrogant smirk on his face. "It doesn't matter. His monsters are no match for my Battleguard Warlock King! Hahaha!" Sledgehammer laughed out in an arrogant voice, making Yuya smirk right at him. "Wrong! Your Warlock King is history!" The teenage boy told the bulky man, stopping the Sledgehammer in his laughing fit as he looked at Yuya in confusion.

"You've lost it! Nether of your monsters are strong enough to destroy Warlock King in battle". Sledgehammer pointed out, but Yuya just kept smirking. "In battle, perhaps. But this card will change that". The teenage boy told his opponent as he held up his card with his left hand, before he flipped it over. "I activate the Spell, Spiral Flame Strike!" Yuya called out as the Spell card dispersed into sparkles.

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon let out a fierce roar, before he began charging towards Battleguard Warlock King with Yuya holding onto his horns to stay on board. "This card has two effects, and I'll go with option 1. If I control an Odd-Eyes card, I can destroy one of your cards!" Yuya explained his Spell card's effect with a smirk on his face, much to the Sledgehammer's horror as he widened his eyes.

"I activate the Trap, Gift of the Mystical Elf!" The bulky man exclaimed as one of his face down card reappeared and revealed itself. The Trap, along with Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Battleguard Warlock King, the Warlock Token and Performapal Springoose began glowing white, before the Sledgehammer gleamed white. "This card increases my Life Points by 300 for each monster on the field! Since there's 4, that's 1200 Life Points!" Sledgehammer explained his Trap card's effect as his Life Points went up.

Sledgehammer Life Points: 1750 + 1200 = 2950.

The glowing ceased as Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon cried out, before it jumped high into the sky. The orbs on the Dragon-Type monster's spikes began glowing with energy. "Go Spiral Flame Strike!" Yuya called out as Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's eyes flashed for a moment, before unleashing a dark red flaming stream attack at Battleguard Warlock King. The stream struck the Fusion Monster in the chest, making him cry out in pain, before he exploded.

"I don't believe it! The Sledgehammer has lost his Fusion Monster, leaving him with just a token to defend himself!" Nico called out on his microphone with wide eyes, causing the crowd to cheer for Yuya. Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon fell to the ground and landed on his feet, kicking up dust and rubble from the impact with Yuya still hanging on his head. "Now Springoose, attack the Warlock Token!" Yuya commanded his monster, getting Springoose to let out a cry as it spread its wings, before it charged at the token.

The Winged Beast head butted the monolith, causing it to disperse into partials. "And with that thing out of the way, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon can attack you direct! Go Odd-Eyes!" Yuya commanded his Pendulum Monster, swiping his right hand out. Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon let out a cry, before it began charging towards the stone castle. "You fool! I activate the Trap, Sakuretsu Armor!" Sledgehammer called out, thrusting his right hand out as one of his face downs revealed itself.

"If your monster attacks, this Trap will destroy your monster!" The bulky man explained his Trap card's effect with a smirk on his face, before it fell when he saw that Yuya was still smirking. "Nice try, but guess what? It's not going to happen! I activate Timegazer Magician's Pendulum Effect!" Yuya called out as a metal board came out of Timegazer Magician's gauntlet and circled around to his other arm, appearing like a clockwork gear.

A wave of temporal energy erupted from the gear and engulfed the Sakuretsu Armor, forcing it to return to face down position. "Hey! What just happened!?" The Sledgehammer questioned with wide eyes, wanting an explanation on what just happened. "Timegazer Magician's Pendulum effect, that's what! When a Pendulum Monster battles and you activate a Trap card that targets it, Timegazer Magician negates the activation and returns it to face down position!" Yuya explained to his opponent with a confident smirk on his face as Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon jumped into the air once more.

"Oh boy! This is going to hurt for the Sledgehammer!" Nico exclaimed on his microphone with wide eyes as Odd-Eyes Dragon fired another dark red flaming stream attack at the Sledgehammer. The bulky man quickly ran away as the stream attack struck the edge of the balcony, causing an explosion.

Sledgehammer Life Points: 2950 – 2500 = 450.

The explosion had created smoke that covered what happened to the Sledgehammer from view. Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon fell down to the ground, kicking up dust and rubble from the impact. The smoke cleared to reveal that a part of the edge of the balcony had been reduced to ash, creating a creator, while the Sledgehammer was safely away from it, standing in front of the door to the castle.

"The Sledgehammer is almost out of Life Points, while Yuya still has 4300 Life Points! Can the champion turn this duel around!?" The Sledgehammer's manager questioned on his microphone, pointing out that there was a major Life Point difference. Yuya slightly narrowed his eyes as he looked up at Sledgehammer as he walked to the right edge of the balcony. 'He played Gift of the Mystical Elf at the perfect time. If he had activated it after his monsters were destroyed, his Life Points would have been at 2650. He played it at the right time'. The teenage boy thought to himself, before he looked down at his Duel Disk's screen.

'I got Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Springoose and my two magicians on my field. All he has is a Sakurestsu Armor that I can cancel out so long as I have Timegazer Magician and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon on my field. Still, I best keep on guard'. Yuya thought to himself, analyzing the field, before he looked up at the Sledgehammer. "I end my turn here! You're up!" Yuya declared his turn over, having nothing else to do.

Sledgehammer Life Points: 450/ Number of cards in hand: 0.

The Sledgehammer gave a hateful glare down at Yuya, even shaking a bit from his anger. "I've had enough of you! It is time to bring the Sledgehammer down and get rid of you! I DRAW!" Sledgehammer roared out as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion, creating a gust of wind from swiping his right hand out with his card between his index and middle fingers. The bulky man turned the card over, before he widened his eyes at seeing what it was, and then grinned.

He thrust his right hand out, revealing the card to be a Spell card. The image showed Battleguard King, Lava Battleguard and Swamp Battleguard all covered in different coloured pillars, all shooting out into the air and coming together with the shadow of a giant creature with red eyes behind it. "I activate the Spell card, Battleguard Necromancy Fusion!" Sledgehammer called out, before he slotted the card into his Duel Disk.

(Battleguard Necromancy Fusion/ Spell/ Effect: Remove from play, from your side of the field or your Graveyard, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a "Battleguard" Fusion Monster, and Special Summon that Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.)

The Spell card appeared in front of the Sledgehammer over the edge, getting everyone to widen their eyes in surprise. Yoko quickly hugged Lulu in case she had another panic attack, but luckily, she didn't have one this time as her breathing remained normal. "This Spell card allows me to Fusion Summon a Battleguard Fusion Monster using monsters from my field, or Graveyard!" Sledgehammer explained his Fusion card's effect with a smirk on his face, making Yuya widen his eyes in surprise. 'From the Graveyard!' The teenage boy thought to himself in surprise, both at the Spell's effect and that his opponent had another Fusion Monster.

(Play Camula's Theme - Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Soundtrack!)

Sledgehammer brought out four cards with his right hand, before it flipped them over to reveal them to be Battleguard King, Battleguard Gladiator, Battleguard Knight and Battleguard Warlock King. "I banish Battleguard King, Gladiator, Knight and Warlock King!" The bulky man revealed his choices as the four Battleguard monsters appeared in the lake surrounding the castle, kicking up water from their sudden appearances.

"With these four monsters, I'll create the ultimate Battleguard!" The Sledgehammer called out to the heavens, thrusting his right hand out to the sky as a black swirling portal appeared up above. Battleguard King, Battleguard Gladiator, Battleguard Knight and Battleguard Warlock King all cried out, before pillars of energy shot down from the swirling portal around them, sucking them all into the portal.

"I Fusion Summon! BATTLEGUARD TYRANT!" The bulky man shouted out to the heavens as a giant shadow covered monster fell from the portal and landed in the lake, kicking up all the water in the lake. It was a giant charcoal skinned Battleguard in Nordic armor, no helmet to cover its flaming dark hair and red eyes. In its right arm, it wielded a giant spiked club. The monster was so big, around the size of an Earthbound Immortal. Battleguard Tyrant unleashed a powerful roar that shook the whole arena and causing everyone to cover their ears from the sound.

(Battleguard Tyrant/ Level: 10/ Attribute: Earth/ Type: Warrior/ Fusion/ Effect/ ATK Points: 4000/ DEF Points: 4000/ Requirements: 1 'Battleguard King' + 1 or more Warrior-Type monsters/ Effect: If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. Once per turn, you can select and destroy cards your opponent controls equal to the number of Warrior-Type monsters used as Fusion Material for this card.)

"OH, MY GOD! Look at the size of that monster! It's easily the biggest monster I've ever seen! I can't even contain myself!" Nico screamed out on his microphone in awe. Everyone in the audience stared up at Battleguard Tyrant as it easily outsized the castle. Yusei, Lulu, Rin, Gong, Zuzu and Yoko all stared up at the Fusion Monster in disbelief. "That monster's ATK Points are off the charts". Zuzu stated with wide eyes with a hint of dread in them.

"This has to be the Sledgehammer's strongest monster!" Skip exclaimed in panic, having never seen a monster with high ATK Points like Battleguard Tyrant's. "Yuya doesn't have a monster that even comes close to that monster's manpower!" Gong commented with wide eyes, having seen through Yuya's new deck and seen that none of his monster's ATK Points were close to Battleguard Tyrant's. "This is so not good". Rin stated, now worried about her friend. 'Yuya… please be careful'. Lulu thought to herself in concern as she turned to look down at the tomato hair styled boy.

Yuya, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Springoose, Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magician all looked up at the Fusion Monster with wide eyes, who looked down at them with a glare. The Sledgehammer leaped from the balcony and landed on Battleguard Tyrant's left shoulder, before he looked down at his opponent. "Hahahaha! It's over for you, punk! I activate Battleguard Tyrant's special ability!" Sledgehammer called out, thrusting his right hand into the air. Battleguard Tyrant gave out a roar, before it held up its giant spiked club as it gleam black energy. From the black energy came the ghost forms of Battleguard King, Knight, Gladiator and Warlock King.

The four all roared out, before they all charged. Battleguard King struck Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon with its club, Gladiator bashed its shield into Springoose, Knight swung its greatsword on Timegazer Magician and Warlock King based his staff against Stargazer Magician. All eight of them all shattered in particles, much to Yuya's shock as he fell, but landed on his feet. "Once a turn, Battleguard Tyrant can destroy cards equal to the Warrior-Type monsters used as Fusion Material to Summon it! I used four, meaning all four of your cards are destroyed!" Sledgehammer explained his Fusion Monster's special ability with a smirk on his face, getting Yuya to look up at him with a frown.

"I really don't like you". The teenage boy told his opponent, before he looked down at his Duel Disk's screen, only to widen his eyes in surprise at something unexpected. The Extra Deck zone of his screen was blinking yellow. Curious, Yuya tapped the screen, causing it to show his Extra Deck. To his surprise, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magician were all in his Extra Deck. 'My Pendulum cards…! They're in the Extra Deck, but how?' The teenage boy thought to himself with wide eyes, realizing that there was more to Pendulum cards than he thought.

"Get ready, clown boy!" Sledgehammer called out from Battleguard Tyrant's shoulder, getting Yuya to blink in surprise, before he looked up to see his opponent pointing at him with his right hand's index finger. "Battleguard Tyrant! Attack that brat directly!" The bulky man commanded his Fusion Monster, making Yuya widen his eyes in dread as Battleguard Tyrant raised his giant spiked club.

"This is going to hurt". The 14-year-old stated with wide eyes, watching as Battleguard Tyrant unleashed a bone chilling roar, before it swung its down on the ground. The force of the impact on the ground created a blast of wind, heading straight towards the wide eyed Yuya, before it struck and send him spinning into the air, along with him crying out.

Yuya Life Points: 4300 – 4000 = 300.

Yuya crashed landed on his back hard, groaning in pain with his eyes closed. "Yuya!" Lulu, Rin, Zuzu, Gong and Skip all cried out in concern for their friend, while Yusei gritted his teeth and Yoko narrowed her eyes. The Sledgehammer burst out laughing at seeing this. "Hahahahaha! With that done, I end my turn!" The bulky man declared his turn over, satisfied with the damage he dealt.

(Music end)

Yuya Life Points: 300/ Number of cards in hand: 0.

Yuya tried to get up from the ground, before he grunted and fell to his back again. "Yuya's taken massive damage, leaving him with mealy 300 Life Points left. He has no cards in his hand, or field. His only chance to win this Duel is on his next turn, but if he fails, the Sledgehammer will win! Sledgehammer has his powerful Fusion Monster that can destroy anything, along with the Trap Sakuretsu Armor. Things look bad for Yuya, and he can't even get up!" Nico called out on his microphone as he, along with everyone in the audience watched Yuya as he lied down on the ground, unable to get up.

"Come on, Yuya! Get back up! You can win this!" Gong shouted out to his best friend with wide eyes of concern, gripping the railings tightly with his hands. "I knew we shouldn't have let him duel the Sledgehammer! Just look at him! He can't even stand up!" Zuzu exclaimed in concern, now wishing that she changed Yuya's decision of accepting the challenge. "Get up, Yuya! You need to win us that ARC System!" Skip called out to the teenage boy, grappling the railings right next to Gong.

Rin smacked the back of Skip's head with her right hand, before she looked down at the fallen Yuya. "Don't give up! You still got a chance!" The Witch of the Wind called out to her friend, before she turned to look at Lulu and Yoko. "Yuya…" The Mistress of Birds said in deep concern for her friend, before she began to get teary eyes for Yuya. Yoko looked at the purple haired girl, before she brought her into a full hug. "It's okay, don't worry. Yuya's gonna turn this around, I promise". Yoko told the younger female in a comforting voice, keeping full belief that her son can turn this around.

Yusei had his arms crossed, but he had his eyes narrowed and teeth gritted as he stared down at his student. 'Yuya… don't give up. I've overcome impossible odds before, and you can too'. The Shooting Star of Satellite thought to himself, believing that Yuya can turn this difficult duel around, just like how he's done in the past. However, that was when he noticed something unexpected.

Right next to the lying down form of Yuya was Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon in spirit form, nudging his duelist with his head to wake him up, but was falling. 'Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon?' The Signer said in his mind in surprise, having not expected this. The Pendulum Monster raised his head and gave a worried growl, increasing Yusei's fascination. To his further surprise, Stardust Dragon appeared outside of the entrance in front of him.

The Signer Dragon looked over his left shoulder to look at his duelist. 'Our students need our help, Yusei'. The leader of the Signer Dragon said to his duelist, getting Yusei to smile up at him. Yusei had known about Stardust taking Odd-Eyes as his student because the Signer Dragon had told him in their time here. The Signer was actually glad to hear that his ace monster had taken his student's ace monster as his student, knowing that Odd-Eyes Dragon will be cared deeply and looked after by Stardust.

The Signer Dragon flew towards his student, while Yusei placed his right hand over his left forearm, covering his mark as it began to glow. Back in the arena, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon tried to wake his duelist up by trying to speak to him. 'Yuya, come on! Wake up! You can't give up after coming this far!' The Pendulum Monster called out to his duelist, but Yuya didn't even flinch at his loud voice, still unable to hear his monster's voices.

'He can't hear you. Yuya still doesn't possess the power to speak to Duel Spirits'. A familiar voice told the Pendulum Monster, getting Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon to look up to see his master, Stardust Dragon flying towards him. 'Master. Is there nothing I can do to help him?' Odd-Eyes questioned his master in a concerned voice as the Signer Dragon stopped in front of him, before Stadust shook his head in response. 'Unfortunately, no. My duelist, Yusei will help him. Right now, I have a gift for you for passing your test'. The Signer Dragon told his pupil, getting Odd-Eyes Dragon to look at him in confusion.

'A gift?' The Pendulum Monster questioned, wondering what this 'gift' was. Stardust Dragon nodded to Odd-Eyes with a proud grin on his face, before he held out his right claw to his pupil. 'That's right. A portion of my power'. Stardust told his student as the palm of his right claw gleamed with cosmic energy, before it shot out towards Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon. The cosmic energy struck the Pendulum Monster, causing his whole body to be covered in cosmic energy. The cosmic energy covered dragon unleashed a powerful roar as he began transforming, before both he and the Synchro Monster disappeared.

With Yuya, he was groaning with his eyes closed, too injured from Battleguard Tyrant's attack to even stand up. 'I… can't get up. I… can't win'. The teenage boy said in his mind, losing hope for victory from how injured he was. 'What's wrong, Yuya? Don't tell me you've given up?' A familiar voice questioned the tomato haired boy from out of nowhere, much to his surprise.

'Yusei? Is that you?' Yuya questioned inside his mind, hoping that it was his teacher that he was hearing. 'It's me alright'. The voice, now revealed to be Yusei's, answered the teenage boy. 'Yusei, I can't move. Everything hurts. And even if I could move, I don't stand a chance against the Sledgehammer'. Yuya told his mentor in an exhausted voice, having lost hope of winning. 'You're wrong about that Yuya. You do have a chance, because of two reasons' The Shooting Star of Satellite said to his student, getting Yuya curious on what his mentor was trying to tell him.

'What are those two reasons?' The teenage boy questioned his teacher, wanting to know what these two reasons are. '1: Because you believe in Duel Monsters with all of your heart. And when you believe, you always have a chance…' Yusei began, surprising Yuya with his words as he began to realize that he was right. 'The second reason is simple. You're not alone. Your friends, including me are here, cheering you on. So stand up Yuya! Stand up and show everyone that you're not a coward! Show them up that you've grown up, both as a Duelist, and as a person! SHOW THEM ALL YOUR RAGING SPIRIT!' Yusei shouted out to his student, making Yuya shot open his resolve filled eyes.

Yuya groaned as he climbed up to his feet, leaning forward and taking deep breaths. "I can't believe it! Yuya's back up on his feet!" Nico called out in amazement, causing the audience to cheer for the teenage boy. "That's it Yuya! Show him what you're made of!" Gong shouted out to his best friend with a grin on his face. Gong wasn't the only one grinning as Skip, Zuzu and Rin were all grinning as well at seeing Yuya stand back up. Yoko was smiling at seeing her son get back up on his feet, before she turned to look at Lulu and saw her relived look at seeing Yuya alright. Unknown to everyone was that Yusei had a proud smile as his mark ceased glowing.

Yuya lifted his head up to look at the Sledgehammer, who was looking down at him with a grin on his face. "I'm… not giving up! My teacher taught me to keep believing in myself, and in my cards! That's why I won't give up until the very end!" Yuya shouted out with conviction, refusing to surrender. Unknown to Yuya was that his pendant was lightly glowing crimson, before crimson flames briefly appeared around it.

The teenage boy brought up his left arm, before he looked down at the top card of his deck. He closed his eyes and focused on his deck. 'I still believe in you, my deck. Please, give me the card I need to turn this duel around'. Yuya said in his mind, before he placed his right hand's index, middle and thumb fingers on the top card of his deck, not noticing the top card briefly flashing red for a moment. The tomato hair styled boy then shot open his determine filled eyes. "I…DRAW!" Yuya called out as he drew his card in a dramatic fashion, leaving a crimson veil as he swiped his right hand out.

Yuya turned the card over and looked at the card over his right eye, before he widened his eyes at seeing what it was. 'Where did this card come from?' The teenage boy thought in confusion, before he widened his eyes when a bright light appeared in front of him.

(Yuya's vision)

Yuya opened his eyes and found himself in a bright white area. He looked around, wondering what was happening, before he heard a roar in front of him. He looked forward and saw a an unknown monster, covered in cosmic energy, in front of him. The only thing he could make out of the unknown monster was its left green eye, and right red eye, which were both shining like a star.

The cosmic covered monster let out a roar at Yuya, as if telling him what he needed to do. Yuya had wide eyes as he stared at the unknown monster, before he narrowed his eyes and nodded to the creature.

(Back in reality)

Yuya's eyes flashed for a moment as he regained control of himself. He looked forward with a determined look, before he swiped his right hand in front of him, holding the card out. It was a monster card, half-orange, half-green and had arrows on both sides. The image showed a luminous white Oriental Dragon that looked a little like Stardust Xiaolong. It had long red hair in place of Stardust Xiaolong's hair, a jet black underbelly, five fingered claw hands and feet. It had a long tail and blue fur on its legs. There was a red gem on its forehead and finally, it was a heterochromia, having a left green eye and a red right eye, both shining like a star.

"I Summon Star-Eyes Synchron!" Yuya called out with narrowed eyes, before he swiped his right hand onto his Duel Disk's blade, placing the card on it. The card materialized on the field in front of Yuya, before it gleamed and Star-Eyes Synchron floated out of it. The little Oriental Dragon unleashed a roar as it floated besides Yuya on his left, glaring up at Battleguard Tyrant.

(Star-Eyes Synchron/ Level: 1/ Attribute: Wind/ Type: Dragon/ Tuner/ Pendulum/ Effect/ ATK Points: 500/ DEF Points: 300/ Pendulum Scale: 0/ Pendulum Effect: Once per turn, you can select one Pendulum Summoned monster you control and change its Level to any Level below 8. Once per turn, you can select one Pendulum Monster you control and change this card's Level to the selected Monster's Level.)

The Sledgehammer burst out laughing at the sight of Star-Eyes Synchron, before he pointed towards it with his right hand's index finger. "You drew a weak pathetic monster and played it? You really must want to lose if you played it!" The bulky man mocked the teenage boy in an arrogant tone, getting Yuya to smirk at him. "On the contrary, I'm gonna win thanks to Star-Eyes Synchron!" The teenage boy told the 'champion' of Paradise city, much to amusement as he continued to smirk at Yuya.

"Oh yeah? Well, go ahead and try to beat my Battleguard Tyrant with that scrawny little lizard!" Sledgehammer dared the tomato hair styled boy with a smirk that screamed 'arrogance'. "It'll be my genuine pleasure!" Yuya called out in response, before swiping his left hand out to his new monster. "I activate Star-Eyes Synchron's special ability!" Yuya called out, turning to look at Star-Eyes Synchron as white cosmic energy appeared in its mouth, before he breathed out a cosmic breath attack into the sky.

The cosmic breath attack created a pure white portal in the sky, getting the Sledgehammer to look up at it in curiosity. "When he's Normal or Special Summoned, I'm allowed to Special Summon 1 face-up Odd-Eyes Monster in my Extra Deck". The teenage boy explained his monster's effect, making the Sledgehammer smirk at him. "That card truly is useless. There's no such card that can be face-up in the Extra Deck". The bulky man said in an arrogant tone, making Yuya smirk right back at him.

"Actually, there is such a card. You see, when Pendulum Monsters on the field are destroyed, they're sent to the Extra Deck face-up!" Yuya told his opponent with a confident grin, making the Sledgehammer, along with everyone, widen their eyes in shock. "What the!?" The bulky man exclaimed in shock as Yuya's Extra Deck slot of his deck opened and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's card slotted out. "And the monster I'm bringing back is Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya called out as he picked the card up with his right hand and swiped it onto the blade. A familiar cry came out of the cosmic portal, before Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon fell down from it and landed on the ground besides Yuya and Star-Eyes Synchron.

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon ATK Points: 2500/ Level: 7.

"Fine, keep him. He's no match for my Battleguard Tyrant!" The Sledgehammer called out as his ace monster unleashed a powerful howl. "Maybe alone he can't, but together with Star-Eyes Synchron, he can". Yuya told the 'champion' of Paradise City with a grin on his face, getting the bulky man to frown in confusion.

Hearing a familiar roar in his mind, Yuya narrowed his eyes. 'Don't worry, I'm about to bring you out'. The teenage boy said in his mind, before swiping his right hand into the air. "I tune Level 1 Star-Eyes Synchron to Level 7 Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya called out with a powerful voice, before his two dragons flew into the sky. "That thing is a Tuner Monster!?" Sledgehammer cried out in surprise, having not expected Star-Eyes Synchron to be a Tuner Monster.

Star-Eyes Synchron gave out a cry, before, to everyone's surprise, burst into cosmic energy. The cosmic energy was absorbed into Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, causing his whole body to be covered in cosmic energy with only his eyes visible, only now they were shining like a star. The cosmic energy covered dragon unleashed a powerful roar as it began transforming with the cosmic energy covering his form.

"Wondrous and beautiful dragon with dichromatic eyes! With the power given to you by the dragon of stardust, transform into a new dragons with eyes that shine a new future! I Synchro Summon! Star-Eyes Savior Dragon!" Yuya chanted as the cosmic energy covering the dragon unlashed a bright light that forced everyone in the stadium to cover their eyes. After a moment or two, everyone lowered that arms that they used to cover their eyes and opened them to see the new monster, before they widened their eyes at the sight.

Flying in the air was Odd-Eyes, but he had evolved into a new form now and looked a lot like Stardust Dragon. Star-Eyes Savior Dragon was bigger than he was in his Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon form, now just slightly smaller than Stardust. He was now a lanky dragon with a humanoid body plan in silvery white chrome armor and had black skin underneath. His bulky quad like legs were now like Stardust's legs, only with his armor on as well, but was recoloured to silvery white. His spikes had been replaced by wings that had claws and ribbed sections of silvery white skin protruding along the ridge of the wing finger, which extended far further than the other fingers.

There was a green gem on his left wing and a red one on his right wing. His once bulky torso was now lean with his torso armor reshaped to fit with a purple gem on his chest. His tail was tipped with four small, axe-like blades arranged in a cross just like Stardust's tail. His claws were now just like Stardust's claws, but were black with silvery white armor. His head and neck had changed a bit, no longer bulky and were now like Stardust's with some differences with his armor now reshaped to fit it. He had a short jaw in comparison to his large crest and long neck. The crest and neck both had black, ribbed sections of skin. The crest on Star-Eyes' head is now four-pointed like Stardust, with a fork-like trio of points extending from the back, and a single shorter point running down its nose. Finally, his heterochromia-like eyes were now shinning like that of a star and had a royal blue gem on his forehead.

Star-Eyes Savior Dragon's shinning eyes flashed a bit, before he spun around in the air and curled its claws, legs, wings and tail around itself. The Dragon-Type monster spread his claws, legs, wings and tail out and unleashed an earth shattering roar that put Battleguard Tyrant's roar to shame, even had white glittering stars surrounding him.

(Music end)

Everyone stared up at the new monster in awe as the glittering stars fell from his wings, while Yusei had a proud smile on his face. Star-Eyes Savior Dragon looked up at Battleguard Tyrant with defying eyes, before he roared once more.

(Meanwhile in the Leo Institute building)

Back inside the monitor room, the alarm went off, the screens were going a bit haywire and the whole room was flashing bright red. Luckily, the screens weren't breaking and the mainframe wasn't out of control. "Again!?" The head chief exclaimed in surprise, before swiping his right hand out to the side. "Find out what Summoning energy it is!" He told the workers, wanting to know what Summoning was causing this again.

The workers immediately went to work and began analyzing what they picked up. "I have the results, sir". One of the female workers stated as she looked up at the screen. "If the wave patens are correct, someone is using… Synchro Pendulum energy?" The woman said in a confused voice as the screen showed the word 'Synchro Pendulum'. "Synchro Pendulum energy!? The head chief exclaimed in confusion, now more confused than before.

(Back at the stadium/ Play Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's - Sound Duel 2 - Disc 2 - 07. Yusei's Theme)

Yuya stared up at his new monster in awe, before he looked down at his Duel Disk's blade to look at the card. To his surprise, it was half-white, half-green and had an additional effect box with arrows on both sides. 'This card is… a Pendulum Synchro Monster!' The teenage boy thought to himself in surprise, before he looked back up at his new monster as it flew down above him, before it began flapping its wings to stay air-born.

Star-Eyes Savior Dragon looked down at his duelist and gave him a small growl, as if telling him it was time to finish this duel. Yuya grew a smile on his face as he nodded to his new monster, before he looked at the Sledgehammer and Battleguard Tyrant with a smirk on his face. "Get ready Sledgehammer! Because I'm about to win this duel!" The teenage boy called out to the bulky man, getting the Sledgehammer to smirk back at him. "In your dreams, little man! Your new monster isn't strong enough to defeat my Battleguard Tyrant!" Sledgehammer reminded his opponent that his monster's ATK Points weren't high enough to destroy Battleguard Tyrant.

Yuya kept his smirk on his face, before he thrust his right hand out. "I activate Star-Eyes Savior Dragon's special ability!" The teenage boy called out with a confident voice. Star-Eyes gave out a roar, before he flew higher into the air. "Go, Stardust Resurrection!" Yuya called out as Star-Eyes spread his wings out fully, before they began gleaming beautiful silver white energy. The energy shined down on the field below.

"Once a turn, Star-Eyes Savior Dragon can Special Summon a monster back from my Graveyard, or a face-up Monster in my Extra Deck back to the field! So, come on back, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya explained his monster's special ability, watching Star-Eyes Savior Dragon as Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon appeared out of his wings and fell down to the ground.

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon DEF Points: 2000/ Level: 7.

"And now the best part! Star-Eyes Savior Dragon gains ATK Points equal to the Special Summoned monster! Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon has 2500 ATK Points, increasing Star-Eyes Savior Dragon's ATK Points all the way to 5500!" Yuya further explained his new monster's special ability as red flames appeared around Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, before it transferred over to Star-Eyes Savior. The red flames changed to silvery white flames as they covered the Synchro Pendulum Monster, causing his eyes to flash as his ATK Points went up.

Star-Eyes Savior Dragon ATK Points: 3000 + 2500 = 5500.

"That thing has 5500 ATK Points!" Sledgehammer exclaimed in shock to see Star-Eyes Savior Dragon's ATK Points higher than his most powerful monster's ATK Points now. "Unbelievable! Even when the odds were against him, Yuya Sakaki has turned things around and has brought out a monster that can size him victory!" Nico called out on his microphone in surprise, before the audience cheered out for Yuya and his Synchro Pendulum Monster.

"Okay Star-Eyes Savior Dragon…" Yuya began as he brought up his right fist, before thrusting it out. "Attack Battleguard Tyrant!" The teenage boy finished, getting Star-Eyes Savior Dragon to let out a fierce cry as the three gems all over his body began flashing their respective colours. "You fool! Did you forget about my Trap, Sakuretsu Armor!" Sledgehammer called out, thrusting his right hand out, expecting his face down card to reveal itself.

However, to his surprise, his face down didn't activate, or reappear. "What!?" The bulky man exclaimed in surprise, getting Yuya to chuckle at him as he held up his right fist. "I must have forgotten something. I hate to break it to ya, but when Star-Eyes attacks, you cannot activate Spells or Traps until the end of the damage step". The tomato hair styled boy told his opponent with a smirk, getting Sledgehammer to widen his eyes in shock. "No!" The bulky man exclaimed in dread, now knowing that he couldn't do anything to stop his opponent's attack.

Star-Eyes Pendulum Dragon opened his mouth, revealing black cosmic energy inside his mouth. "Go! Spiral Cosmic Flare!" Yuya cried out as Star-Eyes Savior Dragon unleashed a black flare attack like Stardust's Cosmic Flare attack, only it had white sparkles around it. The stream attack drew closer, before striking Battleguard Tyrant, making the Fusion Monster cry out. Star-Eyes Savior Dragon's attack created a powerful explosion that destroyed Battleguard Tyrant and sent the crying out Sledgehammer flying into the sky. (5500 – 4000 = 1500)

Sledgehammer Life Points: 450 – 1500 = 0.

Winner: Yuya!

(Music end)

The ARC System deactivated as the Action Field disappeared, along with Star-Eyes Savior Dragon and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, returning the two duelists back to the normal field. Yuya was standing up on his feet in the middle of the arena, while the Sledgehammer slammed onto the ground on his back. A screen appeared and showed Yuya with the words 'win' underneath. The crowd was silent at seeing the Sledgehammer defeated by the teenage boy, and stared down at Yuya.

Zuzu, Skip, Gong and Rin all had disbelief looks on their faces, while Yusei and Yoko had small smiles at seeing Yuya win. Lulu had a wide smile at seeing Yuya win, even leaving Yoko's embrace and walked up towards the railing. "He won…" Zuzu said in disbelief at seeing her childhood friend win the duel. "Uh huh". Gong replied to the pink haired girl, having wide eyes himself. Skip began crying waterfalls tears of joy as he pumped his fists into the air. "Ahh, yeah! Yuya made it look easy! You showed him how it's done!" The principal of the You Show Duel School exclaimed in joy for his student's victory. "Nice going, Yuya! Way to show it to the Sledgehammer!" Rin called out in praise to her friend with a wide smile.

Back with Yuya, he looked at his fallen opponent with a natural expression, before he grew a happy smile on his face. He brought up his left arm and looked down at his Duel Disk, before his Extra Deck opened and a card slotted out. Yuya grabbed the card with his right hand and brought it up to his face. The card was revealed to be Star-Eyes Savior Dragon with Yuya staring at it with a found smile on his face. 'Thanks Star-Eyes. I couldn't have done it without you'. Yuya said in his mind, thanking his new monster for saving the day.

"You did it Yuya!" A familiar voice praised the teenage boy, getting his attention as he turned to look to his left and saw Lulu, Rin, Zuzu, a crying Skip, Gong, Yoko and Yusei at the end of the staircase to the field, standing behind the railing. Lulu was the one who had called out to Yuya, having a happy look on her face with her cheeks slightly red. "You defeated the Sledgehammer, teacher would be so proud of you!" The Mistress of Birds added, getting Yusei to nod in agreement with his arms crossed.

"Lulu's right, your dad would be proud, just like I am! Your belief in your cards and spirit is what won you this duel!" The Shooting Star of Satellite told his student with a proud voice. "You were unbelievable!" Zuzu remarked with a smile on her face, relived that her childhood friend had managed to win the duel. "Even Gong was impressed!" The Superheavy Samurai duelist commented with an impressed smile on his face. "You rocked his world, big time!" Rin praised her friend as she gave Yuya the thumbs up with her right hand. "You're our star pupil!" Skip cried out in joy, getting Yuya to grow a bright smile at his friends and mentor's words.

All the people roared out in applause for Yuya with fireworks going off for his victory. "Yuya's my main man!" A man called out from the audience, having enjoyed seeing Yuya duel and win the intense match. "For real! He made The Sledgehammer look like a chump!" Another man from the audience said in agreement, having an excited look on his face.

"I want to know more about that Pendulum Summoning of his is all about". A woman in the audience said to another woman, who was sitting down next to Tate, who had an excited look on his face. "I've never seen anything like it before. Even his monster was beautiful". The other female replied, wishing she could see more of Star-Eyes Savior Dragon.

The Sledgehammer groaned as he sat up from the ground, his left hand rubbing the back of his head with his Duel Disk deactivated. "How can the Sledgehammer get walked all over a second time!" The purple haired man questioned in anger as Nico ran past him towards Yuya, lightly bumping into the bulky man.

Yuya was looking at all the people cheering for him with his Duel Disk deactivated and jacket blowing in the breeze, before his attention shifted to Nico Smiley, who ran up to him with an excited grin on his face. "Wow! Just listen to that applause!" The manager of The Sledgehammer called out on his microphone, before he took Yuya's right hand with his left.

"Bravo for you, Yuya! You have to let us all in on your secret! Give us the lowdown on that amazing new Pendulum Summoning technique you unveiled in today's duel, along with that Star-Eyes Savior Dragon you have!" Nico requested, holding his microphone out for Yuya. The teenage boy had slightly wide eyes as he looked down at the microphone. "Well… you wouldn't believe me if I told you". Yuya said with a nervous voice, not sure how he'll explain how he got his Pendulum Summoning and new ace monster.

Yusei watched his student attempt to answer Nico's questions with an amused look on his face, before he looked around the stadium and saw all the people cheering for his pupil. The Signer looked back at Yuya with a proud smile on his face. 'Yuya… I'm proud of you. You've done something unbelievable today. You've created a new Summoning, and that's something to be proud of'. The Shooting Star of Satellite thought to himself with a smile, before he dropped it and grew a serious expression.

'I'm only worried about how Z-ARC will use this 'Pendulum Summoning' to his advantage. With it, he could become more powerful than before. I better do something about the darkness still inside Yuya that connects him to Z-ARC'. Yusei said in his mind in concern for his student, deciding that now was the best time to remove Z-ARC's influence from his student.

Unknown to Yusei was that someone was watching him from the audience a little bit up above. It was a young teenage looking girl that had small fragile body, flowing auburn hair, and gentle green eyes. She wore a pink sleeveless fitted mid-riff vest with white trim with pink bralette top with yellow trim over the vest. She had pink fitted shorts with a yellow belt. She had black knee stockings and black high heels. Finally, she had a black heart bracelet around her right wrist.

The unknown girl sighed dreamily with her left hand on her cheek as she gazed longingly at the Shooting Star of Satellite with slightly red cheeks.

(Meanwhile at the Leo Institute office)

Declan pushed the doors to his office open, before he walked over to his desk, followed by Claude, who was holding a holographic chart. "Good news, sir. We've just identified the kid in question". Claude told the young president as Declan sat down on his chair, before he crossed his right leg over his left. The monitor up above turned on and showed a picture of Yuya. "His name is Yuya Sakaki…" Claude began as the picture changed to show Yuya handing an ice cream to Lulu with his right hand, much to her slight surprise as her cheeks were slightly red at Yuya's actions.

"He's 14-years-old, and surprisingly, he's Yusei Fudo's pupil". The man finished as the monitor changed to show Yusei and Yuya having a practice duel in the park. "Sakaki duels in the Junior ARC League". Claude told his president, before he began pressing buttons on the holographic chart. The monitor above changed to show a picture of Yuya's win-lose profile from a month ago.

"This was his win-lose record from a month ago. It was nothing special, but over the past month, he's grown powerful". The sunglass wearing man informed his boss as the monitor changed to show Yuya's current win-lose profile, which had more wins than the previous one. Declan stared up at the profile, before he looked down at his right-hand man. "His record has grown from 50-50% to 65-35. Yusei Fudo must have taught him well. Was his Synchro Summoning energies more powerful than the ones here?" Declan questioned his right-hand man, wanting to learn more about Yuya.

"Indeed sir. His Synchro Summonings are as powerful as Yusei Fudo's. Even the Xyz Summoning he showed today was just as powerful as his Synchro and Pendulum Summoning. His most powerful Summoning was when he summoned that dragon of his". Claude answered the young president, looking down at the holographic chart. "Besides taking lessons from Yusei Fudo, he takes lessons from the You Show Duel School as well, and even its popularity has grown since a month ago". The sunglasses wearing man added, turning to look back at his boss as Declan brought his hands together.

"I've heard of that name before. It was the Duel School created by Yusho Sakaki". Declan stated, before he narrowed his eyes a bit. 'Yusho… did you know about this 'Pendulum Summoning' that your son has created?' The young man said in his mind, thinking back to the man that he told his deepest secret about.

"This young hot shot seems to be creating his dueling style, different compared to his father's". Claude told his boss, getting Declan's attention as he looked up at the monitor as it showed Yuya speaking to news reporters with a nervous look. "Yusho Sakaki vanished 3 years ago. And now his son is suddenly using a radical new method of Summoning. There's more here than meets the eye". The young president said to his right-hand man, eyeing Yuya greatly before the monitor shut off.

"Prepare a background report on this kid. Leave nothing out. Any facts that relate to Pendulum Summoning, no matter how small, should be reported to me immediately". Declan told his trusted friend as he stood up from his chair, eager to find out more about Yuya and how he created Pendulum Summoning.

(Standard Spirit World)

In the skies above the mainland of the Spirit World, Star-Eyes Savior Dragon was flying around, crying out in joy as he enjoyed himself. "This is amazing! I've never felt power like this before!" The Synchro Pendulum Monster cried out in joy, before he spun around higher into the air. "I'm glad to see that you're enjoying your gift so much". A familiar voice said in a pleased tone, getting Star-Eyes to look down to see his mentor, Stardust Dragon flying in the air below him with his arms crossed.

"Master!" Star-Eyes exclaimed in surprise as he stopped in mid-air, before he flew down in front of Stardust Dragon, who looked at his student with a proud look. "You've passed your final test with flying colours. I have nothing left to teach you". The Signer Dragon told his pupil, who quickly shook his head in response. "That's not true. I still have so much to learn from you!" The Synchro Pendulum Monster exclaimed in denial, before he bowed his head to Stardust Dragon.

"Please… still be my teacher. I want to learn more from you. I beg you, please". Star-Eyes begged his master with a respectful tone. Stardust Dragon had a slight surprise look on his face, before he grew a smile on his face. He lifted his right claw and placed it on top of Star-Eyes Savior Dragon's head. "Very well then. You can remain my student for as long as you like". The Signer Dragon told his pupil, much to his joy as he had a smile directed at Stardust. "Thank you master". Star-Eyes thanked his master with a joyful voice, much to Stardust's amusement as he lifted his claw up from his pupil's head.

"Come now. We must celebrate yours, your comrades and duelist's victory over the Battleguards and their duelist. Let's return to the island. Nightingale is eager to congratulate you". The Signer Dragon told his pupil, getting Star-Eyes' smile to grow even bigger than before. "I better not keep her waiting then!" The Synchro Pendulum Monster exclaimed, before he flew past Stardust Dragon and began heading back to the island. Stardust chuckled in amusement once more, before he flew after his student to return to his temporal home where his adoptive daughters were.

(Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Ending song, START)

Five trials of cards started to line up in a row, before shining in a flash of light to reveal Paradise City. Yusei was standing in the city with his jacket blowing in the breeze. Yusei started walking through Paradise City, before holding up his right arm as his Duel Disk activated.

"What are you grasping for?"

"What good will it do you"

Yusei stood, looking off to the far left with various cards floating around him in a blue color.

"We're moving forward and we'll make sure to discover what"

"Never-ending sentiments"

"the passionate beats of our hearts"

"and the voice of truth are all what we heard"

Yuya appeared, holding a card in his right hand, before looking off to the right with his own trail of cards floating beside him in a red color.

"We got busted up and we learned"

"of where we can get stronger"

Cards appeared, before they cleared to reveal Yusei's face with his left side coloured black and white as flashes of previous Duels were reflected in his left side. A bright light appeared before it showed Yusei standing in an empty hallway, with the walls and floor made up of his various cards. The walls were made of cards such as Sonic Chick, Quilbolt Hedgehog, Speed Warrior and Junk Synchron. On the floor were Yusei's signature cards, Junk Warrior, Nitro Warrior, Lightning Warrior, Jet Warrior, Stardust Charge Warrior and Turbo Warrior.

"I'll search through the dreams in my hand"

"and one day I'll lead them all to you"

In a dark garage, Yusei started up his Duel Runner as his Duel Disk activated, before he placed his helmet on. The garage door opened and Yusei shot out aboard his Duel Runner. Yusei rode through the streets of Paradise City, passing through a park, where Lulu, Celina, Rin and Zuzu were. The four girls waved at Yusei as he passed by. Yusei drove through the You Show School, where Ally, Frederick, Tate, Yuya, Gong, Skip and Sora waved at him.

"Shouting the signal for the START"

"we'll do what our hearts want"

"and vault over our cramped"

"and mediocre lives"

Yusei drove off a bridge as the crimson energy appeared around his Duel Runner, before it formed crimson wings. Yusei flew past Leo tower, looking straight ahead.

"We'll make a DASH"

"and attain every bit of our brilliant futures"

Jet Warrior, Lightning Warrior, and Stardust Charge Warrior all appeared and lined up in the sky, before a pillar of light appeared and absorbed them. From the pillar of light came Stardust Dragon, who roared as it flew through the sky.

"Embracing the bonds we so believe in"

"We'll race toward tomorrow"

Stardust Dragon trailed behind his master as they flew through Paradise City, leaving a shinning trail behind. The trail lighted up, before it cleared to reveal Yusei and Yuya standing atop a monolith between the cravings of their dragons, Stardust Dragon and Star-Eyes Savior Dragon, looking at each other.

And done! Man, that was a long chapter. I hoped you all enjoyed the chapter greatly as I worked hard on it. Also, I've added a little mystery game to the chapter. That girl that was looking at Yusei, she's actually an old Yu-Gi-Oh character that I've brought back to use in the story. As you've noticed, she seems to like Yusei greatly, but don't worry. I still plan for Yusei to be with Akiza, and no harem, I promise. I've just decided to add a little something to it. Now, I plan to reveal the girl's identity next chapter, but I'd like for you guys to take a guess on who it is. I'll give you a hint. She's from the first Yu-Gi-Oh. That's all you're getting from me.

I've also got good news for my Zexal fans. I'm gonna update that story next, and when I'm finished with that one, my Pokémon story is next. My Zexal Story might be finished sometime around the end of this month, or around the beginning of next month. For now, please be patient and wait for me. Last thing, next chapter won't be the duel between Yuya and Sylvio just yet. I wish to have Yuya and Yusei have a rematch next chapter, where Yusei will remove Z-ARC's influence. Please be patient for the next chapter.

I'll see you all later. Let's rev it up!
