Planet Earth has been inhabited for thousands of years. Humans have grown and adapted as well as changed their environment, so they could survive. We have been fighting for survival for as long as we can remember. However, not everyone thinks that mankind has always been peaceful. There have been others out in the universe who have sought to destroy the world for their own evil desires, but thanks to a certain group of heroes, our planet has been protected for many years.

When the Earth's mightiest heroes joined together to stop war from raging, it took everything they had. Lives were lost during the battle, hearts broken. But it wasn't for nothing. Those who sacrificed themselves did it for a reason: to save the world and its people. We are proud of those heroes. But who exactly are they? Well, they are mighty and strong. They are the Avengers.

I was only a newborn when the war ended. The Infinity War. The Avengers united together to stop Thanos from destroying the world, eliminating half of Earth's citizens. Each hero fought bravely, and soon they won. My mom tells me that even though every single member of the Avengers was there, the one who really saved the day was my dad, Iron Man.

I never met him, of course. He sacrificed himself to save Earth. It was a noble thing to do. But that doesn't mean that I don't miss him. I have a picture of him in my room at home, alongside an Iron Man action figurine on my nightstand. Mom says that if Dad were here today, he'd always put a smile on my face, but she doesn't know that he already does.

As the daughter of Iron Man, I've grown to try and be like him. My computer's search history is full of articles of my Dad and videos of him talking at different events and putting smiles on people's faces. Every night before I go to bed, I put on my favorite video. It's a video of him saying hello to his family, Pepper and Morgan of course, as well as his teammates. Yet, I like to think he's saying it to me, wishing me the best of luck. I always cry a little bit when he says "I love you 3000" at the very end. "I love you too, Dad," I whisper back.

Because of my dad's death, I've dedicated myself to do something for people, just like he helped everyone. I never knew that me and a few of my friends would become something special, but the world needs heroes again. They need a team. And that's what I was meant to do: lead a team of heroes to protect our world.

My name is Tina Stark. And my friends and I became the Young Avengers.
