"A no is a no. Thanks to your poison, Reisen's gonna be stuck in the emergency room for the rest of the week."

Eirin shooed the little tsukumogami away from her clinic and had the rabbits give her a small injection to reduce her poison abilities. Medicine's lack of proper control over her poison meant that more often than not, she would end up harming someone without even meaning to. The injection was meant to take away Medicine's ability to release poison while allowing her to retain the ability to absorb and reduce the poison levels of certain toxins. Eirin already had enough on her hands and she didn't want to deal with more poisoned patients at the moment. Though the effects of the injection would only last a few weeks, it was more than enough time to allow Eirin to finish treating her current batch of patients and give her some breathing room to deal with Tewi's shenanigans.

"But you have to let me stay somewhere! There's a storm coming and-"

"If you really want to stay somewhere, go find some human child and be their doll toy," cut off Eirnin. "That way, not only would you be able to socialize a bit more but also learn how dangerous you really are!"

The doors were shut on and Medicine was left all alone.

"Someone! Please! Help! I don't wanna get lost in the storm!"

Medicine kept banging on the doors of the clinic but no one answered.

"I'm sorry for what happened to Reisen! Please let me stay! Eirin! Anyone!"

By now, the little youkai was in tears and it was beginning to rain. Knowing that nothing was going to change the doctor's mind, Medicine ran off in hopes of finding shelter. She didn't bother looking at where she was going and as a result, tripped and fell face first into a large puddle of water. The storm was really picking up now and she had nowhere to go. For perhaps the second time in over a hundred years, she felt hopeless, abandoned, and despair. The first time being the moment she came to life all alone on the nameless hill, purposefully thrown away by her former owner's parents.

Whether they did it as a mercy or because they were tired of their child's abusive behavior towards her and all other dolls, she would never know. All she knew was that her former owner hated her and always called her the "freakish red baby doll." Thus began her hatred for humanity. It wasn't until after she met Shiki that she began to understand others more and changed her ways. While she hadn't given up on her idea of doll liberation, she had become a bit more friendlier and compassionate to others. It was also because of this that she met the Eientei crew and for the first time in over a hundred years, she finally had something that felt like a family.

Now she was alone and abandoned again. Just as she was about to give up and let the rain wash her away, she saw what looked like several identical looking dolls carrying tiny umbrellas in raincoats leaving Eientei with a basket of medicine. Perhaps there was hope after all.

Alice was getting worried. It took them a long time but in the end, they managed to clean up the mess. Still, they had a lot of rebuilding to do and now that the storm was here, it was going to be hard to do. In fact, it was only thanks to Marisa and her recent science experiment with plants that they were able to create a temporary home for all both Yuuka and her helpers to stay warm and dry until the storm passed.

Alice wanted to go back home to get a few of her dolls to help Yuuka with rebuilding and taking care of the plants but the ferocity of the storm prevented her from doing so. Additionally, she didn't have any of her dolls, including Shanghai and Hourai, with her at the moment as she had given them specific orders to help the other dolls pick up her order for medicine from Eientei and keep an eye out for intruders until it began raining.

"They should be inside waiting for us to get back right now."

"Yo, Alice! Patchy's working on a spell that should keep you dry until you reach home but it will take a while. Mind helping me make Yuuka's to-do list?" asked Marisa.

Alice smiled and joined Marisa in adding more items and tasks to the increasingly long sheet of paper for Yuuka.

"I just hope they're okay."
