Katawa Shoujo- Nocturne

Thursday was uneventful though, it was just mostly reading the book that Mutou had given Lenny if he was going to admit it. It seems strange that with all of this free time, Lenny had nothing to do with it. Other than the run with Emi, they weren't mentioning anything regarding their family situations. It can be the fact that Emi was mostly keeping Lenny at arms-length mostly for his own safety. Lenny wasn't entirely sure that he wanted to get closer to Emi. Based on what was happening, it was best he kept his distance until the whole situation was going to resolve itself… somehow.

Friday night was going to be an unexpected surprise. For Lenny, the routine continued on as usual, running in the morning and then figuring out what to do for the rest of the day. There wasn't much else he could do… right? Lenny's rest was interrupted by his phone buzzing. It was Hisao, he was calling everyone down to the front gates for a special announcement. Lenny decided to get up and head on down, curious to see what was going on.

Lenny got to the front gate to see Hisao and his friends, Emi and Rin standing by the front entrance to the school, waiting for somebody to come over. Finally, Akira showed up with her car as she had some news for them.

"Got a bit of free time today and I decided to take you all out, it's a nice day so I decided that we should go to the local fair. We will stop by the Shanghai first because it's a bit early." Akira explained what they were going to do. Well, a trip to get a bit of tea wasn't going to hurt them that much. Lenny nodded to the arrangement. This was going to be a good idea at least.

"All right, come everyone." Hisao told everyone to come along. Everyone got up to follow Akira, they were going to spend some time catching up with what went down this week.

To Lenny, it must've felt strange, he still wasn't feeling like himself after the news regarding his mother and the recent nightmares he had been having, was it a symptom of something bigger? He began to think back when Emi had her nightmare when he was staying with her in her dorm. Was it right to wake her up? How would Emi feel if Lenny was having much the same issue as she was? Lenny tried his best not to think about it. He instead tried his best to focus on the chatter around his with Emi and Rin, Akira and Lilly in another. Hisao and Hanako weren't speaking but they were instead keeping their eyes out on the road ahead. Holding their hands while they did so. For Lenny, something was missing. Emi keeping him at arms length was frustrating for them both but it felt more so for Lenny who needed the support if he was going to be standing on his own two feet for the life ahead. Emi meanwhile continued her chatter with Rin as they were trying to catch up on what they planned on doing for the summer.

The crowd would make their way into the Shanghai as the place was nearly empty. This is where Akira had stashed her car if she was to get to Yamaku on foot. Yuuko was busy taking the orders of a couple of people that were there before they were going to leave for the night.

Katawa Shoujo- Everyday's fantasy

"Welcome, I sensed your days are boring, I have been working here all day since there isn't anyone to borrow books from for the time being." Yuuko introduced herself. She seemed to be pleased by the crowd that had gathered before her.

"Well, we got the tests done and all that there is left are the stragglers that need extra time or missed out on their tests." Hisao expressed that their tests were finished, and they were going to settle down for the next week or so before Summer Vacation. Yuuko smiled before she looked at them.

"Well make yourselves comfortable, I think you want tea, right?" Yuuko asked, she didn't know how long the crowd were going to stay here.

"Yeah tea's fine." Lilly expressed this to Yuuko. Yuuko nodded before heading off to get some tea for the crowd, the students sat down at the tables as they waited for Yuuko. Lenny meanwhile was sitting mostly away from everyone. Lilly who was sitting next to Emi turned to see Lenny somewhat distant away from the crowd. She felt worried for him. "Emi?" Lilly asked Emi. Emi turned her head to Lilly, she wanted to see what she had to say. "Do you think Lenny feels a little distanced?" Lilly asked Emi if she had her opinion on him. Emi looked over to see Lenny sitting alone and more or less in the cold.

"I don't think so, he seems fine." Emi explained to Lilly. Lilly felt a little insulted on the inside but she decided to remain calm.

"He doesn't look fine, why do you keep him at a distance? Especially since the fact that he needs you more than ever now. Why do you leave him out cold?" Lilly asked Emi why she decided to leave her friend like this. Emi began to think about it, was it something she was guilty of? If it was, she better speak up about it.

"Well… I try my best not to think about what happened to me even if it does bother me. I don't want to trigger Lenny's heart condition is the thing that I'm having the most trouble trying to think about. I love him and I care for him but him not saying anything is making me not say anything either. I don't know how I should approach this?" Emi spoke to Lilly. She was uncertain about how she was going to approach this. Lilly began to think about what she could do to help Emi in trying to get her to speak to Lenny about her condition. Yuuko had come back and she began pouring tea for everybody. She noticed Lenny sitting more distant from the crowd. She wanted to see what was up.

"Hey Lenny, is there something wrong? We can talk about this alone." Yuuko asked, she wanted to do her best to help Lenny out. Lenny sensed the opportunity to tell Yuuko something before drinking his tea.

"Yeah there . I don't know how to express it if I will be honest with you." Lenny began. He finished his cup of tea before he got up and walked off with Yuuko. Emi and Lilly were still trying to figure out how to approach Lenny regarding his situation. They noticed him getting up to talk to Yuuko personally. Lilly got up and walked over.

"You can tell me anything you wish, I won't judge you." Yuuko expressed this to Lenny. Lenny felt something lit the back of his throat, he had to be honest with Yuuko and not slip any secrets that might upset Emi.

"Is it true that my mother has been hospitalized?" Lenny asked Yuuko, he felt his heart pick up speed.

"Yes she is from what I gathered at the school. You seem to be attached to her and that's fine. People like you seem to have a strong connection to their family and I respect that. Why does she worry you so much?" Yuuko explained that she found Lenny's purpose of belonging to his family admirable but why was he so attached to her? Lenny began to speak again.

"She's my only family member I have left to turn to. Everything seemed to go downhill for me. I was living with my family as my father was a successful real estate owner and my mother worked in an office, the same office as Meiko works in. I wanted to be like my dad but I didn't want to take anything away from anybody." Lenny expressed to Yuuko about where he and his family came from. Lilly listened in on the conversation, trying to make out what Lenny was saying and use this information to pass it back to Emi so she could formulate her own plans on approaching her own issues.

Katawa Shoujo- Letting my Heart Speak

"You certainly have been going through a rather rough time in your life and this is something someone like you need to establish with me and keep this between us. It's clear from your breathing sometimes that you haven't fully recovered from your incident. When we speak about this between all of us." Yuuko explained. She began to think about what she wanted to say next and continued to speak. "These things really become an issue if you dwell on them for too long and in your case, you have a hard time moving on."

"How do I approach Emi on this even when she's having her own issues?" Lenny asked. He got what Yuuko was saying about his condition and what seemed to be the cause of it. For him, getting to her was the only way he can speak about his own issues. If she was going through something similar to him. No wonder why she was keeping him at arm's length, she didn't want to trigger his heart from acting up.

"You need to be calm and honest about yourself. Try your best not to cave in on yourself as well if the pressure becomes too much. We don't want you hospitalized again." Yuuko explained to Lenny to try to take things slowly so it's not really to overwhelm himself with his own emotions.

"What do I do with Emi's condition? What if she wants to not talk to me about it? If she gets uncomfortable if I try asking her about it, what do I do?" Lenny asked Yuuko if she had any advice to give about Emi.

"If you're going to press the issue about it with Emi, it's best you leave her alone and let her think it over. She'll talk to you when she's ready." Yuuko explained to Lenny that Emi wasn't one to have the strength to stay in one spot to be asked for the information. It was better to let her come to her own terms before heading off and talking to Lenny about the issue and giving it a think over. "I'll have a chat with Emi about this the next time I run into her or if I get the chance now." Yuuko explained to Lenny that she might try to give Emi advice on how she can deal with her own struggles. Lenny nodded, he felt a little more secure about his position.

"Thanks Yuuko." Lenny told Yuuko before he walked off to find Lilly watching from a distance, listening in on the conversation. "So you know what we were talking about?" Lenny asked Lilly if she managed to listen to them.

"Yes I did, Yuuko managed to talk to you about your feelings and I will be happy to hear you two bring up the issue. I'll tell Emi that Yuuko wishes to see her so you two can work something out." Lilly explained about what was happening and the plan was going to be going forward. Lenny nodded, more than happy to hear about this information.

"So everyone does care about me? I thought the doctor told all of my classmates from my old school that I was dead so they would make me forget about them." Lenny explained to Lilly. Lilly felt down about that statement as they sat back down.

"That sounds terrible to hear that or say that to a person like you. Don't worry, we're all here for each other. You're not alone in this world. Maybe we'll stick together with each other. We're always here for each other." Lilly explained to Lenny. They arrived back as Yuuko motioned Emi to come to her as she had something to ask her regarding Lenny and how she can better improve herself and approach the situation at hand.

"Well, at least I have a friend." Lenny sighed. It sounded like he wasn't doing too well.

Despite the issues Lenny was having still, they stayed in the Shanghai until Emi came back from Yuuko who wanted to speak to her. Once she was all done, they got up and left for Akira's car. The seven of them squeezed their way inside even though it felt kind of uncomfortable. Five of them in the back though Emi's short size made her perfect for sitting on someone's lap. For Hisao, he had Emi on her, Lenny was in the middle and Hanako on the left with Rin squeezed next to her., this made the conversation feel awkward.

"Man it's cramped to fit seven people in a single car." Rin began. "I wonder how a turtle would do inside of here."

"It's going to suck I know, especially since this is the last time I'm going to use this car as I'm giving it away next week." Akira told the crowd. This was something that they were going to have to put up with.

"Next week. You're going back to Scotland right?" Hisao asked Akira if she and Lilly were going back to Inverness.

"Yeah… It's sad that this may be the last time we do something good with you, Hisao. You're more than welcome to come and visit us for a week. Hanako has you to rely on and so does Lenny to some extent. I convinced him to talk to Yuuko about his issues and how to approach them with Emi." Lilly explained to Hisao that she managed to listen in on their conversation while they were at the Shanghai. Lenny felt surprised, he didn't know that Lilly was listening in on them.

"You did, will this be some progress forward?" Hisao asked Lilly.

"Who knows, we still have another week together before we have to leave." Lilly expressed to Hisao that the trip to Scotland wouldn't begin until the trimester was completed and their grades handed in.

"Yeah I forgot about that, why does it take so long for the grades to be done though?" Hisao asked.

"In case the students need extra time to do them." Hanako added in. "I managed to get them done as I took the extra two days to do mine."

"Oh… okay Hanako. But, they're all done right?" Hisao asked Hanako if she managed to finish her exams and get them handed in.

"Right." Hanako replied. Akira's car didn't have to drive very far before she found herself a parking spot, the place was lit up with colorful lights and happy Yamaku students heading over to celebrate.

"This was something the school got in contact with and they decided to do a fundraising event. Akira and I thought it looked cool for a sign off to the year before summer break." Lilly explained to the crowd that this was something they were all going to enjoy as everyone began to get out of the car. Emi and Rin went to stretch their legs while Lenny got out last, he was curious about this place.

"This is something I have never done with my old school before. I didn't have anyone to share it with." Lenny muttered to himself. It wasn't a mean type but more of a longing for something. Emi turned her head and walked over to Lenny.

"Don't be like that, you have me right?" Emi asked Lenny if this was something he was going to enjoy. She gently took his hand before she began to walk with him.

Katawa Shoujo- Stride

Lenny had been taken away by what he was in. The crowds of happy students and patrons were busy having the time they never experienced with any other festivals. Akira and Lilly were still chatting away about what their plans were going to be. Hanako felt nervous but she wasn't scared of running away however. Hisao, Rin and Emi were mostly normal… well… Emi was excited. Emi had wandered off as the crowd continued chatting.

"Well since most of us have a condition of some sort, rides aren't the best thing to do." Hisao expressed to the group that they decided to look out for each other.

"We can stay here for the fireworks, they shouldn't take too long." Akira told them.

"Who wants to play a couple of games or something until the time has passed?" Rin asked them if this was something they needed to do if they were going to enjoy themselves.

"Wanting to leave so quickly, we just got here." Hanako told Rin that why should they leave they haven't decided on what to do yet. Lenny on the other hand was keeping quiet and wondering where Emi had run off to. He turned back to see Emi approaching him once more as she was carrying something in one of her hands and two forks in another.

"Cinnamon bun, want to share?" Emi asked Lenny if she was willing to share something between the two of them.

"Okay." Lenny told Emi. Emi smiled with a nod before she took a forkful of the pastry and placed it inside of her mouth. Lenny did the same and decided to try it out himself. Emi meanwhile was a speed eater who most likely took the entire bun for herself. "Well… how was it?" Lenny asked.

"Don't know what's sweeter? Cinnamon or the icing?" Emi asked Lenny, they both laughed while they continued to walk around the area. Hanako looked at them, listening in on the conversation. She seemed more interested in what they were talking about. Lenny began to think, he wanted to say Emi but she didn't list that as her answer.

"I think… I don't know to be honest. I wanted to tell you but that wouldn't be answering the question now would it?" Lenny replied that he didn't know what was sweeter. Emi was surprised that Lenny thought she was sweet and not the cinnamon bun they ate.

"You say I'm sweet? Come over here you." Emi teased Lenny before she playfully tackled Lenny to the ground. They both laughed before getting back up. Hanako and Hisao turned their heads to the spot where the two of them were playing around.

"Seems to me that they really love the company of each other. This is a good sign to see." Hisao told Hanako that he was happy to see Lenny without a rain cloud over his head. There might be some hope to this.

"Guys look, mind if I make a bracelet for my ankle?" Rin asked the group that she wanted a custom bracelet that she could wear.

"Sure Rin, if you need any money let me know so I can pay it for you." Lilly explained to Rin. Rin nodded before she began to walk over to where the supplies were stationed. Lenny looked at Rin before turning his head to Emi and Hanako. He began to think, do they want bracelets like Rin? Lenny decided to walk over to the stand where Rin was. Emi and Hanako followed Lenny. They eventually got to the stand where Rin was picking out whatever beads she wanted for the bracelet. Finding letters, numbers and symbols to make her bracelet with. After Rin paid for her bracelet, Lenny decided to get to work. He thought Emi and Hanako were special from the first day and wanted to figure out some way of thanking them.

Lenny took the materials and began to think of what to do with them if he was to make a bracelet. He began with Emi, the first girl he met even though he didn't give any formal introductions to her. He began to put it together. Emi watched thinking Lenny was putting something together. He then handed the bracelet over to Emi.

"Tell me how I did, I don't know if you like it." Lenny began. Emi began to inspect the bracelet, it seemed to be strange that the same logo with Lenny's heart monitor was also stashed away in the beads. Rin found them and must've taken one for herself. The logos separated Emi's name from the designated number. Emi continued to turn the bracelet over to see the number beads that formed from this: 3358. Lenny was busy doing Hanako's as his methods were… the same. Emi walked back to her spot as Hanako walked up to take her place. Once Lenny was finished, he said nothing and gently handed Hanako her bracelet. The number on Hanako's bracelet was 2944.

"It looks nice I must say." Hanako told Lenny about the bracelet. Lenny nodded before getting up. He wasn't going to make one for himself. Instead, he paid the money for the bracelets and walked off with his friends. Hanako and Emi were wearing them but they remained curious about what was happening. "Why didn't you make one for yourself?"

"I thought it would be better to give and not take. I thought you two would like this type of stuff." Lenny explained. "I still have the heart monitor around my wrist so it'd be fair if you had something around yours. Not to hurt your feelings or anything." Lenny explained to Emi. Emi placed the bracelet around her wrist without saying a word.

"Give or take, you just give?" Hanako asked Lenny if this was going to be true. Lenny just nodded yes before he looked at Hanako who was still inspecting her bracelet. He turned his head back and began to walk off with Emi still by his side. "hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead."

"Where did you say that Hanako?" Rin asked.

"We said that together in that club, remember?" Hanako asked Rin if she remembered doing something like this the week before.

"Oh, I don't remember doing that." Rin replied, she thought it was strange that Hanako asked Rin to recall last week's events. They continued to walk off together as one group.

Everyone was looking around for games to play if they were to pass the time and wait for the fireworks to go off. The streets were clogged with stands selling things but there was nothing they can do. The group spotted Miki and the track group with several students lining up to play some kind of track game.

Katawa Shoujo- Fripperies

"Oh, hey Miki." Lenny greeted her. Miki turned to face the group and waved her right hand over to them.

"Hey there Lenny, wasn't expecting you to show up. Good timing there." Miki replied back, she was more than excited to see him. Lenny lets his head drop in disappointment. She seems to take some amusement from his reaction, and hops up onto my desk. Her grin as she sits on it reminds Hisao of the Cheshire Cat. "So, whatcha' doing?"

"Nothing much but how was the math test you were talking about? Emi said it was hard and I wanted to see your reaction to it." Lenny explained to Miki how well she was able to do on her tests. He hadn't seen her for a few days and even if he did, he didn't get the chance to ask her about this.

"Oh really? Lemme talk about that." Miki would tell Lenny that she was willing to talk about the math test they had taken. Before Lenny can object to any of this. Miki spent the next few minutes droning on about the math test. Most likely holding the conversation open with the one hand she has, her left arm sitting uselessly on her lap. In Lenny's time here at Yamaku, he noticed that the other students have a wide range of adjustment to their disabilities, on a purely practical level. Miki is one of those that seem to have some trouble. The stump of her left arm tends to be either hanging by her side, slipped into a pocket, or otherwise put out of the way. Sometimes she has a difficult time doing common tasks, which makes her visibly quite frustrated. Lenny began to feel a little bad for thinking this way, but he's thankful that Hanako, Emi and Lenny don't have disabilities affecting their freedom of movement to that extent. Then again... if Miki's problem worsened, at least she wouldn't have a real possibility of dying. Lenny's attention is refocused as she thumbs through a few imaginary pages, skimming their contents and talking about the exam. With such casual interest in the subject matter, it's clear by now that she won't be any help.

"I'm guessing you're not too interested in this stuff?" Lenny asked Miki if this was something she shared no interest in.

"Math is for gaylords. I'd rather smoke weed." Miki told Lenny that Math was boring as hell and it should screw itself over. The other track students laughed at this notion as they weren't big math geniuses either. She puts the imaginary book back in front of Lenny with indifference. Her eyes moved to the imaginary notebook beside it that Lenny had been working out practice equations on. "Wait, you're actually able to work that stuff out?" Miki asked if Lenny was able to pass the test. Lenny felt a little hesitant to answer that question.

"Yeah." Lenny nervously told Miki that this was something he was interested in and not what Emi was doing. Was Lenny a genius or was he propped up by Hisao who was standing beside him.

"Wow. I've never talked to a computer with legs before." Miki explained as a couple of the track students went off to find friends for their competition.

"Thanks... I think. At least I'm doing better in this than keeping my health in check. Thank's Hisao." Lenny explained to Miki that his academics were healthy. Physically, he was anything but.

"Think it's worth asking that librarian for help? I heard she's shooting for uni." Miki asked if he should have asked for Yuuko's help in the Trimester. It was too late now to ask. Maybe when summer vacation was finished, she could ask him about this.

"Ah, Yuuko? Maybe. I don't know what she wants to study, though. So what about you? Got anything you're thinking of doing after you graduate?" Lenny asked Miki what she wanted to do when they get out of Yamaku.

"Me? Nah, nothing really. Just enjoying it while it lasts." Miki explained that she was jut merely enjoying the moment while it was going to last for Lenny, Miki definitely had an odd quality to her that he found admirable though her style was odd in the simplest terms. She looks a little awkward when asked about her future, and absentmindedly rubs her left forearm. Lenny kind of wants to ask her about it, but he doesn't think he knows her well enough to do so. The conversation peters out, and Lenny leans back on Emi, giving up on the prospect of studying. Miki notices Lenny's tired expression and looks oddly serious. "Thinking about Hanako?" Miki asked Lenny if he was thinking of Hisao's girl. Emi looked at Miki as she wondered, was Miki asking Lenny about Hanako.

"It's that obvious? Not really, mostly Emi." Lenny replied to Miki that Hanako wasn't on his mind. It was Emi he was thinking about that he was interested in.

"You've been glancing at her, and you've been pretty quiet. Not too hard to connect the dots." Miki explained to Lenny that he was staring at Emi when Miki thought he was staring at Hanako of all people. Lenny kept Emi close to him though he was starting to feel anxious especially with what was happening as of this week.

"I'm just worried about her." Lenny admitted while Emi held onto his waist. She seemed to find comfort in Lenny.

"Yeah, I can see why you would be. She can get... weird, sometimes." Miki admitted that she knew what it was like to be lonely when friends were hard to come by. She was judging the weirdness of Emi's behavior. She sounds put off, but Lenny can't blame her. Hanako was a hard person to interact with before she warmed up to Lenny, even with Lilly and Hisao were around to help. Lenny hasn't known her for that long either, so some of her habits would still be unknown to Lenny. Lenny's true sense of worry was Emi as she was becoming harder to interact with without bringing up a bad memory or setting Lenny's heart off like a bomb. Lenny's face becomes troubled. If he hadn't developed feelings for Emi, this would be at least a little easier to deal with. "Ah, I mean, no offense. She isn't a bad person, I know that much." Miki explained to Lenny regarding the whole Emi dilemma he was facing currently.

"I know, I didn't take it that way. It's just harder to deal with when, well, you know. You have feelings for someone." Lenny admitted that this was starting to wear on him when it came to that feeling of not being able to control the situation to get a positive outcome. Miki walked over before patting his shoulder with the one good hand she had.

"Yeah, I can imagine that. It's hard to forget something like what happened to her during class, too." Miki explained to Lenny that this was going to be hard to forget. Lenny wished she hadn't reminded him of that. She just confirmed that it was clearly noticed by others around them as well. "Come on, don't get that down. She's done this before, you've just gotta wait it out." Miki explained to Lenny. The rest of the team showed up as this meant that Miki seemed to be excited. "See? The team is back already. What did I tell ya?"

"What's the reason you're bringing us all over here for?" Lenny asked. He seemed to be curious to figure out what exactly the team was here for. Miki smiled before she turned her head to show the team.

Katawa Shoujo- Hokabi

"I want to race you, see what you and Emi are capable of since we haven't had a good one in a long while." Miki explained to Lenny. Emi nudged Lenny to the place the race was being hosted. Was he sure about this?

"Do I?" Lenny asked. Emi smiled as she stood aside him.

"You should!" Emi told Lenny that he needed to participate if they were going to enjoy their time as running mates. "I'll run along with you as you and I will not have any setbacks to weigh us down. Let's do this." Emi told Lenny as she walked up to the plate. Lenny followed her as Miki and a few other runners went to join them. Task of the game was simple: retrieve the color coded vase on the other side of the hundred yard dash and bring it back. The first one to get it there was the winner. Straightforward and simple. Lenny lined up with Emi next to him. "See, this game will be over in no time." Lenny gulped before hearing the whistle blow.

Emi exploded off the block with Lenny and the other runners following closely behind. Lenny was trying his best to match the pace of Emi. How was Emi running this fast? Miki turned her head to see Lenny getting ahead and following Emi. Did he really improve so much that he was running at her speed? Miki needed to pull ahead.

One hundred yards wasn't a stretch to Lenny as he was so used to running at this point. Emi and Lenny grabbed their color coded vases and began to make the mad sprint back. Miki and her friends had been lagging behind for a bit and seeing their friends pull ahead was cause for alarm and now they needed to catch up

"We can't let them run away, they're going to win." Miki told the track mates that Lenny and Emi had a lead on them. They grabbed their prizes and began to make the run back. Lenny and Emi meanwhile were almost at the end when Emi tripped and fell down. Lenny turned back to help her back up.

"What are you doing?" Emi asked as Lenny pulled her back up to her prosthetic legs.

"Helping you so we can continue this race together." Lenny explained to Emi as she was back on her legs. Emi feeling grateful for the help turned back to see Miki and her friends catching up.

"Run then." Emi told Lenny before they turned around and began to make the mad dash back to the finish line. Miki and her friends were trying to catch up and close the gap but Lenny was fast acting enough to get Emi back into the lead. Within moments, Emi crossed the finish line.

"Winner!" The voice shouted as he held up Emi's hand. Lenny and his friends cheered on as Miki came up to his side.

"Well you did well. You even went back to help a fellow runner, I am impressed. You certainly have come a long way." Miki gave a compliment on how much Lenny did change. "You helping out another runner is something some of us do, what's the answer behind that?"

"I didn't want to leave Emi behind and win. I would feel pretty bad letting that happen." Lenny explained that no person deserves to be left behind. Miki smiled while Emi was getting her prize.

"He's pretty nice once he's comfortable around everybody." Hanako calmly explained to Miki.

"Well if that's the case, Emi deserved to win the puppy. Good on you." Miki explained as she and the rest of the track team left.

"Hey, the fireworks are going to start. We should find a good place to watch them." Akira reminded the group. They nodded with this news and prepared to leave.

"Oh, we should get going, it was nice seeing you Miki." Lenny expressed to Miki that they needed to leave.

"No problem until we meet again." Miki waved goodbye to the group as they began walking away. Running into Miki was a welcome sign to all of this right?

Lenny and the group were sitting down in the grass within the distance of the park nearby the fair. Emi was cuddled up to him as Hanako looked up at the sky. The fireworks were going off to signal to the group that the best part of the night had begun.

Katawa Shoujo- Aria de E'toile

"So pretty." Hanako told herself. She liked the site of the fireworks squealing their way into the air and exploding. This was good for her to behold.

"Do you have any good memories of the fireworks going off?" Hisao asked Lenny. Lenny began to think as he was just staring at the sky.

"Well… my parents would take me to these festivals at this time of year and I always seemed to have my mother cuddled up to me and my dad telling me to look up at the sky with excitement. It was very pretty to see if I could say something about this. I just wish they were still here to share it like usual." Lenny explained to Hisao.

"Hey, you have us. People who will always stick by your side. There isn't anything to be upset about." Hisao explained to Lenny that they were there for him.

"Yeah. I guess that makes sense but…" Lenny tried to explain but Emi cuts him off.

"You will have me and Meiko. We promise we'll love you through and through. I don't want anything to happen to you." Emi explained to Lenny. "Don't be upset if you can't have the people who loved you be with you from the beginning, you'll find people like that. Me, Hanako, Hisao and many others care for you." Emi rested her head on Lenny's chest which she felt his heart beating faster than normal though Lenny wasn't going to collapse at any given point.

"Lenny. There is a harsh reality we're all going to have to accept. It's not just your or me, it's all of us. We're going to lose the people that raised us one day. Hanako lost her parents many years ago. It takes people helping each other out for all of us to come out of this without any baggage. I'm sure you'll be like the rest of us." Hisao explained to Lenny that there isn't anything to fear as everyone has to accept this hard lesson some day. Lenny nodded as Emi cuddled up to him.

"Well at least I know who to look forward to when that day comes." Lenny explained to Hisao.

"It never hurts to have friends that care for you." Hanako explained. They looked up to watch the rest of the show. After the fireworks ended, Akira decided to bring them back to Yamaku as that was the good thing, she could do for them.

Well, a boring day and waiting for summer vacation to begin was going to be interrupted with small activities to keep the boredom away. Weekend was going to be normal like usual. Lenny however wasn't out of the woods just yet. One more trial still laid ahead for him.

Next week was going to be the biggest test for him and no academic learning was going to help.

End of Act 3

[A/N]: Act three is finally finished and after so long though. I want to finish this story quickly as the last act shouldn't be too much of a stretch. This is definitely going into the last act and hopefully if all goes well, I should have the story complete within the next week or three… I'm not exactly sure.
