AN: I don't know if ya'll know this but 1000 words isn't really a lot. The reason I'm able to update every day is because it doesn't really take that much effort to make a 1000 word chap. I'd say it takes around 50 minutes to 2 hours to make a single chap. Another thing to note is that once this story hits 100k words, it's over, end of the story. If on a day I don't update, it means I'm lazy or found something more interesting to do. If you get two chaps in a day, it means I was in a good mood to write.

In the daylight of the crowded street, Phthonus walked with his child by his side.

His child was a level 4 human warrior by the name of Zanis.

Usually, Zanis would be in the dungeon fighting monsters.

However, Zanis just leveled up recently and Phthonus wanted to flex his child at the event.

Loki and Luna followed after Phthonus and Zanis.

He could tell the two women were right behind him.

They weren't even hiding their presence and were following him and Zanis in broad daylight.

At the event, he managed to avoid a War Game with Loki.

Loki soon gave up because of his ironclad refusal but her child Luna hadn't.

If it weren't for Luna, Phthonus confidence wouldn't have been shaken and he'd have convinced Loki into a War Game.

"Luna, why are we following them?"

Luna kept her eyes on Phthonus.

"It's simple, people like him will usually go into alleys. The moment he does, we're gonna jump him and break his kneecap."

"Luna, don't we need more people to jump him since we're even?"

Luna's brain stopped for a moment, did you need more people to jump a person?

Loki on the other hand wondered why she didn't stop Luna from trying to jump Phthonus.

Luna took out a small metal tablet.

"Hello, Luna?"

On the other side was Finn.

Based on how quiet Finn's side was, he was most likely doing paperwork.

"Listen, Finn, there's no time to explain but I need you to do me a solid. Get the Berserker Squad at my location ASAP."

There was silence on the other side for a moment.

"Got your location, sending them right now."

Phthonus who had seen everything quickly headed into an alley with a guarded Zanis.

Was this crazy mortal actually about to jump him and Zanis?

Luna chased after Phthonus and Loki blankly followed after her.

Was Luna actually about to jump Phthonus?

Phthonus didn't get far when multiple Loki Familia members surrounded him and Zanis from the rooftop.

Zanis took out his sword and prepared for a fight.

Loki recognized her children immediately.

There was Darius with four children under his command and Reya who also had four children under her command.

They stood seriously and studied Phthonus and Zanis carefully.

Zanis held up his arms.

"Let's talk about this shall we?"

Luna cracked her knuckles.

"Let's talk after I break your teeth."

Loki looked at Luna.

"Luna, it's taboo for a mortal to harm a god."

Luna became thoughtful and took out her two knuckle dusters.

She bent her knees and held them towards Loki.

"Would you do the honor, Daddy?"

Loki stared at them and then sighed.

"Let's go, I think we've scared them enough."

Luna nodded and put her knuckle dusters away.

She looked at Phthonus and Zanis with her arms wide open.

"Be grateful Daddy has chosen to spare your lives today, next time, Daddy may not be so merciful. Berseker Squad dismissed!"

The Berserker Squad backed away from the rooftop and disappeared.

Phthonus watched as Loki and Luna left him and Zanis.

He breathed a sigh of relief, things could have gone very badly.

He looked at Zanis who still had a sweat on his head.

The reason Zanis was able to reach level 4 was because of a skill he had.

The skill allowed him to detect danger.

A danger he detected from Luna and warned Phthonus of at the event.

It was one of the reasons why Phthonus confidence in challenging the Loki Familia was so shaken at the event.

But that was then.

Phthonus patted Zanis's shoulder and Zanis calmed down.

"Let's go."

Zanis quietly followed after him.

Phthonus thought of a scheme as he walked.

Challenging the Loki Familia was very dangerous but also very exhilarating.

Something he came down to experience and quite enjoyed as a god.

Zanis wouldn't be able to fight someone like Luna, but that didn't mean other adventurers couldn't.

He'd have to make a deal with another Familia to acquire their level 5 adventurer momentarily.

At the Loki Familia mansion, Tanya finally found Kuro sleeping in a tree.

"Kuro, wake up and come down!"

Kuro woke up with a yawn.

From the tone of Tanya's voice, it seemed serious.

Kuro fell from the tree and awaited her words.

"Kuro, there's someone or something I met yesterday and they said you could tell me more about them."

Kuro fell into thought.

"A someone or something. You must be talking about the Ghost Of Christmas Past."

Tanya scrunched her eyes confused.

"The Ghost of what?"

Kuro waved his hand for her not to worry.

"Don't worry too much. They're just a ghost that wants you to give money to the poor. If they get annoying, just use holy water, silver, or a cross and they'll go away."

Tanya blinked confused.

"What?"

Tanya's phone rang and she answered.

"Yes, Luna?"

"Tanya? Is that you? Wow, it's really you! I can see you on this tiny screen!"

Tanya blinked, since when did Loki get a phone?

Loki was only supposed to receive one at her birthday party.

Yes, that's right, a birthday party.

A party Loki didn't know about.

A party Kuro and Luna had bargained from her.

They were really good at bargaining.
