Author Note: As of this chapter I now have a co-author/gear kicker in the form of Siege25. The OC named Opherla belongs to them and was always intended as part of the story canon, I just hadn't asked permission yet. I did, and they offered to help keep me motivated and help actually write the fic.

Review Responses:

Ryuujin96 – Hope you don't mind the time skip, but yeah the dynamic between them is nothing like how it turned out in canon. That said, I do want to keep them true to themselves so Katsuki is still a human grenade and Izuku still tends to be shy. And yes, that is where his name comes from. And his Dad's name was Inion.

Newage416 – I mean, Goku did get cheapshotted by a laser ring. I interpret that as if a ki-user doesn't see, sense or expect an attack they are just as susceptible as anyone else since they can't defend against something they don't see coming.

XxCaseyXx – Your malding amuses me.

Walkmanapprenticewordsmith – I don't plan on it. Teenage Thirst is going to be a thing, but the girls aren't going to ignore or exclude interest in the other boys. And they wont all pursue the same guy at once.

Fists flashed and clashed as legs and feet flew through the air. Two eight year old boys battled fiercely at speeds that would have boggled the minds of almost any adult who saw them and most would have panicked, assuming the boys where intent on causing harm to one another. Those same adults would have also been far too scared to attempt to approach the boys lest they suffer an injury of their own. But the older youth observing them made no effort to intervene, nor was he even slightly worried at the apparent aggression on display by the boys, instead he merely smiled as he watched. His two students had come a long way in the last three years, ever since Izuku Midoriya had introduced him to the child named Katsuki Bakugou and convinced the teenager to accept him as a student as well. With someone closer to his age, stature and ability the growth of both boys had been astonishing.

It had been three years ago when that chain of events had started…

Izuku Midoriya had been doing what he usually did during lunch break at school, he had run off to an out of the way part of the playground where most of the other children wouldn't bother him while he ate his lunch and did some light exercises. Despite having done training for months and becoming significantly stronger then he had been at the start of the year, none of the other children had caught on to how significant the changes had been. To them he was still the creepy Quirkless kid who'se Quirklessness was some disease they could catch if they hung around him.

Since he kept to himself so much these days he didn't really interact all that much with Kacchan that much anymore. Which was something the blonde child had taken note of which had lead to him investigating what it was Izuku had been up to over the last few months, leading to what he'd witnessed in the park.

So the Monday after, the curiosity, and a little fear, burning away in the back of his mind the fire cracker decided it was time to confront their childhood friend about what he'd seen. "Oi! Deku!" Katsuki Bakugou called out as he approached Izuku in the playground, his two usual flunkies on the other side of the playground, instructed to mind their own business.

The green haired boy blinked from where he was doing push ups and stood up, "O-oh? Kacchan? W-what's up?" The greenette held up his hands, palms forward, defensively. He may have gotten some training under his belt, but he was still the same nervous little boy under it. The past bullying still leaving a mark on his confidence. That and Liek always told him not to flaunt his strength or show off for no reason.

'The greatest victory you can achieve in a fight, is avoiding it in the first place.' was another lesson Liek had shared. Which was what Izuku was hoping to do here, knowing Katsuki typically only approached him when he wanted to start a fight.

"I saw it!" Katsuki declared while pointing at Izuku, "You and Aunt Inko doing that freaky training!" The green haired boy looked surprised, apparently the fact that they could be seen training by just anyone in a public area had never occurred to the child, "How long! And how was Aunt Inko able to do that with the rock! Her quirk has never been able to do something like that before!"

Wait.

"AH! So it was her Quirk! Master Liek was right! That's so cool!" Izuku squealed in glee. After he'd woken up Liek had reached that conclusion after considering what Inko and Izuku told him about what happened, but they'd agreed not to test the hypothesis until the next weekend.

Izuku already looked excited just from the revelation but, being the paragon of innocence he was at such a tender age, his eyes widened as looked over at his childhood friend and he grinned even wider. Getting right up in Katsuki's face the greenette squealed more, "KACCHAN! You should train with us! You would be an even more amazing Hero if you did!"

"Wha?!" Katsuki balked at both the closeness of Izuku and the words he said, "I'll… what?! You looking down on me, DEKU?!" Naturally the fire cracker's inferiority complex made him take the other boy's enthusiastic offer to be taken as an insult. With his fiery temper stoked the child threw a punch, one that never connected. Instead the next thing he knew he was on the ground gasping as the force of the impact knocked the air from his lungs, with Izuku standing over him.

When? How? Why was Izuku suddenly so strong? Since when could he beat him so easily?

That same day Izuku had introduced a sulking Katsuki to Liek. The teenager remembered that this Kacchan was the same individual Izuku had told him about way back when they first met. On that day the teen made one thing extremely clear to the blonde boy, if he ever dared to use his training to bully others, especially Izuku, not only would Liek cease his training. But he'd also personally ensure Katsuki knew what it felt like to be bullied by someone considerably stronger.

When Liek had issued that warning he'd felt a pressure on him like nothing he'd felt before or since. It had felt like he was being crushed by Liek's presence alone. It was indescribable and left the boy unable to sleep properly for days. But Katsuki had kept his word, he didn't bully Izuku or anyone, and had even taken the effort to browbeat his old minions when they got uppity.

And so, three years later, Katsuki continued to train alongside his rival Izuku.

The incredible growth the two had shown was evident in the speed and power behind each and every one of their attacks, every punch and kick making the air quiver with the strength in their limbs, strength enough to match many full grown adult Heroes. Even just three years was enough to allow the unique personalities of the boys blend and define their unique fighting styles. With Izuku he was more inclined towards a defensive style blending with an emulation of his favourite Hero, All Might, keeping himself protected, blocking, deflecting and evading attacks while waiting the prime moment to strike with a mighty punch. Katsuki was the more aggressive fighter, unleashing an unrelenting assault of punches and kicks meant to overwhelm his opponent with sheer ferocity, not that he was lacking in skill or precision. Of the two it was clear that Katsuki had all the talent, while Izuku was fueled by determination and keen intellect.

While Katsuki followed his gut instincts, Izuku watched his opponents, learned their abilities and flaws and planned out how to best overcome them. At first glance Katuski would easily look like a better fighter since he'd have the appearance of having the edge from the start, Izuku could appear to be losing and grasp victory in an instant.

And Liek couldn't be prouder of the progress they had made.

The blonde boy roared and unleashed an explosion on Izuku, which the greenette blocked with an energy bubble of ki. This was another facet of the training that had lead to new growth of the boys; how ki and Quirks interacted. After the initial mishap with Inko, and with Katsuki joining them, the four had tried to figure out what had happened and why. It took about a week, but they'd managed to figure out that Quirks and ki use the same pathways through the body, so whenever someone with a Quirk tries to externalize their ki it triggers an overcharged version of their Quirk. This meant a few things, firstly that those with a Quirk could never use the full range of ki abilities, like those used for flight and energy waves, however they could still use internal ki channeling techniques like those used to reinforce the body and muscles. They also found that ki-infused Quirks could be used in ways they never could normally.

Like Inko learning she could not only move small objects faster, but move herself towards larger objects. This was discovered when she tried to use her ki-enhanced Quirk on the moon, thinking nothing would happen. They were all very glad Liek had been supervising and able to catch her when that happened. Inko had retired from training after that point, at least as far as keeping up with the boys.

Liek didn't think he could be made any happier that day, however, he would be proved wrong the minute that thought crossed his mind, as he soon heard a feminine laugh from nearby.

"And here I was thinking you wouldn't pick up the teaching gig again. But I guess you couldn't stop with me, could ya, Liek?" The feminine voice called out as Liek turned to see an all too familiar sight. Walking towards him was an absolutely gorgeous young woman, about his age, maybe two years older, with red hair and golden eyes, wearing a red jacket over a simple black sports bra and black pants, complete with a set of black and white sneakers, as her abs were shown off in full to him. What stuck out to everyone as well was the fact she had a pair of fluffy red ears on her head, and a fluffy tail sporting out her back. While Izuku and Katsuki didn't recognize her, Liek did.

A smile broke out on the teenage boy's face as he looked at the woman approaching the group, his blue eyes meeting her amber orbs for a moment before he vanished into thin air, reappearing at her side and draping an arm over her shoulder, "Come on, Opherla! That's not fair and you know it!"

He laughed, "You've taught me as much as I've taught you!" It was clear to the boys, who had stopped sparring to watch in curiosity, that Liek's tone was comfortable and playful. Far more than he had ever been with them.

"Oh, I guess you got me there." Opherla would giggle before the boys watched her give Liek a kiss on his cheek. There was definitely a strong connection between these two, the kids had seen stuff like this happen between their mom and dad, or other mom and dad figures, all the time. So of course, the obvious question that Izuku blurted out in his mind was…

"Are you married to her, Master?" Izuku would ask his teen mentor out of the blue as Opherla looked at the two of them and laughed again.

"Whoops. Wrong timing, I guess?" The red haired woman asked Liek with an apologetic tone.

The teenage instructor looked at Izuku with a casual smirk before replying, "Would it shock you if I said yes?" Which, apparently, it did shock Izuku, in fact it shocked both the boys.

"Whoa! Whoa!" Katsuki shouted, waving his hands in the air, "What do you mean, 'married?'" The boy pointed an accusing finger at the older youths, "You aren't supposed to be able to get married until you're an adult, right?" A question Izuku nodded his head in agreement to.

"We're…" Liek started, unsure of exactly of what to say.

"Something of a special case?" Opherla supplied.

"Yeah…" Liek agreed, "That."

Opherla would laugh at that answer before looking at Katsuki and Izuku. "Well, seems like you've been training these two pretty well, Liek. …I wonder how they might fare against my own student though." she pondered aloud.

That got the curiosity of all three males, with the two younger boys glancing at each other for a moment before Katsuki confidently punched the open palm of his other hand, "I'm sure I'm tough enough to handle anyone you're taught! Master Liek is a great teacher!" And that was Katsuki's honest opinion, he genuinely respected and looked up to his instructor. No other teacher had helped him grow so much so fast. None had even tried acting like they where doing anything other then trying to get a boost off his future success. Liek had always treated Katsuki no better or worse then Izuku and always pushed him to go harder then ever, just as he was pushing the blonde's rival.

The greenette cheered, "Yeah! We're super strong!"

Liek shrugged helplessly while shaking his head, "You heard them." he said, while at the same time it was clear to Opherla what Liek left unsaid, that he hoped her student was strong enough to knock some humility into the boys.

"Fair enough, let's see, the two minute head start I gave should be up about… now." Opherla stated as she whipped out a stopwatch and clicked it, seeming to be keeping time. After a time of fifteen point three seconds, someone came into view as the group watched an incredibly fast flying individual rushed into view, before she slowly began to float to the ground, giving her enough time to figure out a landing as she set down, smiling as she looked up at Opherla. The girl in question was dressed in a yellow sweater that had the word 'SUPER' written across the front of it, a pair of green pants, and a set of simple pink and white shoes. She had short brown hair, and brown eyes, beaming with joy and pride as she looked up at Opherla.

"Did I do good, Sensei?" The girl asked with a hopeful smile, being greeted with one from Opherla as she knelt down to her.

"Very good, Uraraka! You've bested your previous time by 5 seconds! You're getting good with your sensory abilities, and learning to control your supercharged Quirk!" Opherla smiled proudly. "Now, there's people here who I want you to meet, Ochaco."

"Huh?" Ochaco asked, soon looking past Opherla to see Izuku and Katsuki, as she beamed at them and waved. "Hiiii!"

"Liek, allow me to introduce you and your students to my student, Ochaco Uraraka." Opherla spoke boldly with a smile.

Little Izuku grinned and waved, "H-Hi!" He greeted shyly, "I'm Izuku Midoriya!"

With hands on his hips and his chest puffed out the blonde boy boasted, "And I'm Katsuki Bakugou! Future Number One Hero!" he then turned to glare at Liek as something the girl said registered in his mind, "Hey! Master! What's this about this girl learning about sensing abilities? You haven't taught us that yet!"

The blue eyed teen looked down at his student with a measured look, not liking the way Katsuki had just said the word 'girl' just now, but chose to answer his question anyway, "I've been waiting for the right moment. With your temperaments it was better to get the two of you to the point where you where learning techniques." He smirked at Katsuki knowingly, "I mean, would you say you would be able to sit and concentrate for hours trying to sense things when we started? Or would it be easier now, now that you have some skills under your belt?"

The fact what the teen said was true caused Katsuki to pout.

"Those two seem strong, Sensei…" Ochaco remarked.

"They have improved somewhat, but would you say you're stronger?" Opherla asked.

"...I mean, I don't wanna just outright say that, that would be rude." Ochaco remarked as she looked up at Opherla, who laughed.

"Alright, you made your point." Opherla smiled. "But perhaps you'd like to show off what you can do?" the wolfgirl asked.

"Of course! I'd be happy to, Sensei!" the little brunette smiled. "If they're okay with sparring with me, that is!"

"Well, how about it, boys? One of you two wanna step up against this so-called 'girl'?" Opherla asked with a knowing smile.

Katuski scowled and was about to step forward Liek spoke up, "Now, now Katsuki! You know the rules!" The teen laughed as human fire cracker stopped and pouted with a blush. With a grumble the blonde boy turned around and walked over to his rival and took a stance. "On three…" Liek started, "One… two… THREE!" on the signal the two boys threw out their hands, Katsuki with two fingers stretched, Izuku with his in a fist.

A moment passed.

"DAMMIT!" Katsuki growled before stomping over to Liek and pouting even more.

A grinning Izuku scurried over to Ochaco and enthusiastically bowed while grinning, "I-I hope we have a good match!" He said before dropping into his stance… about an inch off the ground, his legs shoulder width apart, bent at the knees while both flexible and sturdy, while his left arm was held forward ready to defend while the right was held out slightly in front of his chest, ready to attack or defend. The signature stance of Liek's own personal style, the Furiemshinken.

"I hope so too, Izuku!" Ochaco smiled as she dropped into her own stance, as her arms were raised yet lowered at the same time, as the mushroom haired girl was hunched over like she was a wolf about to attack. The signature balanced style of Opherla's, the Lycanshoto stance, specifically, the Pouncing Stance.

"Oh this ought to be a good one." Opherla smiled. "I see Izuku's taken to your style, Liek!"

"Yeah." Liek said softly, looking over at his wife, his next words carrying more meaning then the kids could realise, "He doesn't have a Quirk."
