Long ago a drop of sunlight fell to earth and ignited a land so bright it could only be called Solara.

The land glowed with light. The flowers and trees, the waters and forests, the mountains and valleys, were all full of it. Shining and glowing, constantly bright with the magic of light, this was the land of Solora.

That same drop of sunlight grew into a magical garden capable of healing illness, decay and injury. For a long time it was kept safe by an woman named Yuri. She cultivated the beautiful field of sunlight flowers.

But then she fell in love with a spirit that approached her garden from the Gehenna Woods. As they courted, he grew in form and stature and she named him Rinka.

All was well until the time came for Yuri to give birth to their suns. Tragedy struck when Rinka tried to protect her from the dark energies of Gehenna. The power of darkness poured into him and her beloved sunlight flowers caught fire in blue flame, until only one remained.

All of the creatures and spirits of Gehenna were destroyed in that same blue flame, wiping out nearby village and ending in the Blue Night.

Yuri nursed Rinka back to health, and soon after the twins were kidnapped, taking with them Yuri's life.

But Rinka was never the same after the darkness corrupted him. After Yuri's death, he abandoned he hoarded the last of the sunlight flowers, using it to preserve his life and health.

Rinka prized it, hoping he could recapture the magic of Life and Death and; by taking in hand the power, somehow reconnect with Yuri's spirit, which slept in Gehenna with that of her ancestors.

However, as he hunkered down in the old castle in the midst of Gehenna, the kings soldiers came to find the legendary bloom. The Queen was very sick and pregnant. The kingdom feared the loss of the Queen and Princess.

So the King himself battled and defeated Rinka, branding him with the name Satan, and stole the last of Yuri's flowers, ground it up, and fed it to the Queen.

She glowed with life magic, and the baby was saved, born healthy, with a head of golden glowing hair.

Next to her baby crib stood the Crown of Gehenna, also stolen, now belonging to the Princess.

Meanwhile Satan was in despair until she heard spirits of Gehenna speaking of the "beautiful golden hair" of Princess Cairstiana.

A slow smile spread over Satan's face. It was time he paid the royals back for their defeat of him.

Satan easily climbed into the palace and lifted the baby. He cut a strand of golden hair and—it turned black! This girl was—!

Satan cringed, realizing what this would mean. Becoming a father, nursing this thing, this baby as he used it for his great work. And how, how would he use her flower for Gehenna now? This baby was ordinary and pathetic! Her hands were not the hands of a priestess! She could not wield the magic of life and death!

This would never do.

Satan turned to leave the palace and find magic somewhere else when she saw it: The Crown of Gehenna.

"You are of Gehenna, Rinka. Someday this Crown will seek you out and become your medium, as the Sunlight Flowers are my medium."

Satan recalled Yuri's words. The Crown had sought out this infant. Cairstiana had the magic after all.

Satan pulled the infant and the crown into his arms and disappeared into the night.

As he stood on the edge of Gehenna where here tower, the only remaining part of Yuri's castle, stood; he watched as orange lanterns spilled into the sky. The kingdom calling out to their lost princess.

"Well say your farewells, Solara. This little flower belongs to me now." Satan said, tucking a strand of hair behind Cairstiana's ear. "Father Knows Best."
