Jake, one of the only elves (Halff-Elves), in town who also worked at the blacksmith, was clad in armor and busy at work one day when another young man walked in.
Tanya, his boss, went over to help the customer.
Jake, who was bothered by strangers, hid behind a shelf to gain more information.
"Looking for something?" Tanya, also clad in armor, asked.
The man looked at swords and other apparel.
"Mind if I ask who you are and what you're business in this town here is?" Tanya asked.
"Well, I look like a fisherman, Miss," he said. "And my main business is fishing. But I'm looking for someone."
"So, who are you and who are you seeing?" Tanya asked.
The man grinned. "I'm Nicolas and I'm here to see the bride! I just need to know where the chapel is."
"Hold on," Tanya got out a pen and paper.
She wrote the directors and handed it to the man.
Jake was about to get up, but Nicolas was too fast.
"Did you have to give him directions?!" Jake asked in anger with his usual whining voice.
Tanya was puzzled. "Why not?* Then a light clicked on in her head. "Oh! Is this because of your betrothal to Cecelia?" (Her also being Half-Elf.)
Jack stomped his foot. "YES!"
"Well, there's only one thing that you are able to do':"
"Which is?"
"Fight for her!"

Tanya showed Jake to the backroom.
"Now, all my swords have always been safe and don't cause damage. But. They aren't able to send anyone to The Forest of Beginnings. Only monsters,"
Then she presented Jake with a broadsword.
Only it wasn't an ordinary broadsword.
"This sword may cause humans to be sent to The Forest of Beginnings. You may use it on Nicolas. But. If you fail and end up in The Forest of Beginnings yourself, you may have your friends help you."
Jake's hands shook as he was handed the sword.
"I-I don't know what to say!"
Tanya grinned.. "Say nothing. Just know you owe me one!"
Jake turned, but his boss stopped him.
"Oh! If you want to go either way, touch the blade. And before you go, you may bring three others to and from with you! Just let them touch you! With this!"
Tanya got out four long pieces of rope.
"Got it?" she asked.
"Got it!" Jack nodded.

With that, Jake ran outside and into a woman. She didn't fall, but caught herself. She was clad in a blue kimono with a red flower in her hair.
"Sorry, Yue!" Jake apologized.
Jake would've stayed to hear a, "That's okay," but he was on a mission.
He found the man called, "Nicholas" halfway through the smithy and the chapel.
"Stand and battle!" Jake cried.
Nicolas saw Jake. "Are you crazy?!" Nicolas yelled. He ran inside.
"Calm yourself!" Gordon the priest yelled..
Gordon retrieved his old sword from his warrior days which he kept behind the pedestal.
The priest jumped on top of the pedestal to gain leverage. He then jumped down and slashed against Jake's sword.
Gordon's children Dorothy and Cammy and Cammy''s friend, Roy were playing and they heard the commotion.
Dorothy, in green and hugging her plush toy tried to reason with Jake.
"P-please don't bother my father!" she pleaded.
Cammy spoke next.
"You better not!" she warned in pink.
Roy was about to say something.
Then Jake dropped his sword.
Jake had seen Cecelia enter the room.
She was in the most stunning dress he had ever seen! It was draped in snug curves and in all the right places!
Jake fell on his knees.
"You're beautiful!" he confessed. "Seeing you like this means it's too late for us. It's too bad I'll never get to see you beside me on your special day with it."
"Oh, Jake!" Cecilia said. "You've got it all wrong!"
Jake turned to Nicolas again. "You better treat her right! That's all I have to say,"
Then Yue walked in. Mysteriously, she got out another dress and two tuxes.
Nicolas ran up to her, hugged and kissed her.
Everyone besides Jake clapped.
"Why are you two kissing?" Jake asked, obviously confused.
The two stopped for a moment.
"Practicing for our wedding, of course!" said Yue.
"B-but Nicolas here said that he wanted to see the bride!" Jake pointed out.
Nicolas placed a hand on his face. "I KNEW I forgot I said something! Brides not bride! I do know the other bride, though!"
Jake's eyes went wide. "But how?"
Cecilia smiled. "Nicolas is my childhood friend."
Jake couldn't believe it.
"And how does Yue know you two?"
"I always send letters to my hometown via Yue who's a merchant. She mainly sends them to my father and Nicolas. Nicolas started talking to through her work and they've gotten closer ever since."
"And why haven't you told me about this?"
"Well, I haven't known you very long, Jake. I just moved here this year," Cecilia explained. Cecilia embraced her fiance. "But you should know you're the only one for me! And sorry I didn't tell you about the tuxes and gowns. I wanted to surprise you."
Then Jake kissed her. They were staring into each others' eyes and would've continued but then Nicolas walked over to Jake's sword and picked it up.
"Is there something special about this?" he asked.
Jake was about to run over to Nicolas when Nicolas touched the blade.
No blood was drawn, but one important thing happened.
Nicolas disappeared, just like Tanya said he would. And a portal had opened up to let in the sword. But Nicolas let go of the sword, just before it let him in.

"We should get my mom to help!" Roy, clad in green, who's mother turned out to be Tanya suggested. "Unless it's a Forest of Beginnings Sword. Then only four people may use it."
"Now, does this mean that Nicolas may use it as soon as we find them?" asked Jake.
"He should," Roy answered.
"In any case, both Gordon and your mother are out of practice. I should ask around town for help," Jake said.
"Ahem!" Jake heard.
It was Cecilia tapping her foot. Yue frowned.
"Excuse me, but I think you're forgetting some people," Cecilia said.
Jake was confused. "Who?"
"US!" Cecilia yelled.
"But. How?" Jake asked in confusion.
"A man named, "Raguna taught me sword fighting and magic in my old village. Then I started teaching Yue as I we traveled the world together," Cecelia said.
"Why didn't you tell me that?" Jake felt let out.
"I retired from traveling in this town and didn't need to worry you ever since," Cecelia continued.
Jake thought. For just a moment. "Well. Since you won't gets hurt Iuppose you may accompany me. Cecelia. Yue. And Nicolas once we find him."
"Now we'll get a chance to fight, right?" Yue said I'm eagerness.
"One thing: We may not just go out into the wilderness or into dungeons. We'll be in The Forest of Beginnings!"

Jake, Cecelia and Yue traveled to the very beginning of Trieste Forest. It was permanently spring there, growing a variety of plants and monsters for the season. Four of the ropes were with them.
"I can't believe that Gordon only had one weapon leftover from his warrior days, so he thought it wouldn't work from any real damage!" Jake said aloud. "And Tanya has business in another town, so we may not get permission any other weapons.'
"Me neither!" Yue agreed. "But before we go, how would you like a magic spell book, Jake?"
Jake stopped in his tracks. "You know magic?!"
"Mostly sell the books, but yeah, that too," Yue said. "I currently sell Fireball, Water Laser and Sonic Wind books."
"Fireball is my favorite!" Cecilia told her fiance.
"I usually try Water Laser," Yue told him. "Why not try Sonic Wind, Jake?"
"Well, I mostly try swords, and I'm so used to long swords that I may carry more than two things at ounce, so I guess I could try other weapons," Jake finally agreed. "But I'm going to test it out, first."
Jake and crew had just entered Trieste Forest when Jake saw a big rock.
A big number of scythes were hurled at the rock, then, as it placed contact, a big banging sound was heard.
Jake looked at Yue, annoyed.
"Hey, nobody wants inhumanity!" Yue shrugged. "Sorry, but I guess it's just for monsters. How about you choose my Medication Book? It lets you heal EVERYONE in our party. When we're tired, anyhow."
Jake returned the Fire Book and got the Medication Book instead.
"Well, one more thing left to do," Jake said.
Jake got out his broad sword and touched the blade.
The girls held on tight to the ropes and all three went in a portal.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
They discovered a clearing and in there, they heard and felt something.
The ground shook. The sound was of screeching. Then footsteps. Then a person yelling.
Then they watched as something-or someone-flashed by it.
It stopped.
"Jake? The girls?! Here?!'
It was Nicolas!
Jake grabbed the other three by their shirt collars and into the bushes.
They watched the feet of a monster from the ground instead of the monsters' whole body.
"What is that?!" Jake asked in a harsh whisper.
"The Dead Tree 2," Yue answered to Jake, also whispering.
"Good thing we don't have to defeat it,"" Cecilia asked in whisper. "We're already in The Forest of Beginnings."
"That explains about where," Nicolas whispered.
"And if you're wondering how you got here-the sword you touched was indeed special," said Cecilia.
"That means how," said Nicolas.
"Now, Yue," Jake said. "Give Nicolas the Fire Book.'
Nicolas excepted it greatfully.
Then Jake said, "Here's a rope. Hold onto me it and I'll touch the blade of the sword. Then we'll be home."
Jake was about to do just that.
Then the tree barged into the shrubbery and found the four friends. Then the sword disappeared!
"Attack!" yelled Nicolas.
Nicolas cast Fire.
Nothing happened.
Cecilia cast Water Laser.
Nothing happened.
Nicolas cast Sonic Wind.
Nothing happened.
Now, Jake realized their magic AND their strength were draining. They were very tired.
The tree's roots reached out of the ground and grabbed at them.
"Looks like we're not damaging it!" Jake yelled over the sound of the roots.
"It must be because we're already in The Forest of Beginnings! There's nowhere else for it to go!" yelled Cecelia in realization.
"Hold on!" Jake yelled.
He got out Medication and cast it over all the four of himself and his friends. They were instantly more than energized.
Then Jake saw the sword.
It was stuck in the tree's roots!
"EVERYONE! Cast your spells right there!" Jake yelled and pointed.
All three spellcasters cast at the area surrounding where the sword was.
Jake rushed over and caught the sword.
"Hold tight everyone!" Jake yelled.
A final roar bellowed forth from the tree as the four friends teleported home.

The next day was a double wedding, between Jake and Cecilia and Nicolas and Yue.
The chapel was packed. Everyone in town attended. Gordon was officiating the wedding, being a priest.
Both brides were in identical dresses at the beginning of the aisle. The grooms waited at the other end. Roy was the ring bearer and Cammy was the flower girl.
Cammy walked down, throwing rose petals over her shoulder as she did, Roy right behind her, four rings on a cushion.
Tanya winked at her son, then Jake. Apparently, this is what she had meant that that was what he owed her. Gordon had also said the same for Cammy since he ran the ceremony.
Slowly, the brides walked down, too.
Gordon began.
"We are gathered here to bless the union of two separate couples. Each one has prepared their own vows. Nicolas? Would you go first?"
Nicolas held Yue's hands and spoke.
"Yue, you and I have traveled so far and I hope to keep traveling with you the rest of my days," Nicolas said. "I love you."
Nicolas got a ring from the cushion and placed it on Yue's' finger.
"Yue?' Gordon asked the merchant.
"Nicolas, in all of my own travels, I've never met a man like you. You lift me up when I'm down and I may always count on you, wherever we end up. I love you, too!'
Yue got out another ring and placed it on Nicolas' finger.
"Jake?" asked Gordon.
Jake was up then, but Cecilia spoke up first.
"I have something to say," Cecilia began. "Jake, I love how well you care for me, even when it's a little too much. I don't have to hear you love me or I love you, I know we love each other. And I know we'll both enjoy the rest of our lives together."
Cecilia presented Jake with a ring.
Jake was surprised. "I-I don't know what to say. But. I know what to do."
Jake got the final ring from the cushion.
"You can't tell, but this is an insideout ring. Inside is a round stone-your favorite stone! And it's a surprise. Like you. You always surprise me. I love you, too, Cecilia. And I imagine that you'll continue to surprise me from now on," Jake said.
And so, the four friends were married that day. And their vows held true from them on.
