Prologue
2045
The universe had belonged to the Troobian Empire for the last two decades, ever since the defeat of the S.P.D. B-Squad rangers of Earth at the hands of the intergalactic terrorist, Devastation. Humanity, along with most other sentient species lived under fear and subservient to the will of Emperor Grumm, for any who tried to voice a spark of rebellion met with a gruesome end, their corpses left on display as an example to dissuade others from doing the same, but still hope persisted, in the form of the Resistance.
In a secret S.P.D. facility in a town called Belwood, the only one on the planet left after the Troobians took over, three people met in the control room.
"Are you sure about this?" The oldest surviving ranger of Earth, Commander Adam Park asked. He was in his sixties, yet he kept on fighting, driven by the senseless deaths he had witnessed, including those of his former comrades and family. His hair was mostly gray and he sported an untamed beard, and despite his age and the scar that ran across his left cheek, Adam still retained his handsome looks. He was in his old S.P.A uniform, the colours a bit washed out over the decades but the badge still somehow shining.
"I don't think we have any other option, Commander Park." The woman he was addressing said grimly. She was a beautiful Latina woman in her early forties, in a yellow uniform and a silver chain with a 'Z' emblem around her neck.
"Z…" Another woman, who could have been mistaken as a human, if it were not for her pointy cat ears and her fangs, who was wearing a lab-coat over an orange suit, murmured softly.
"It is okay, Kat." She reassured. "This might be the only way to free Earth. Just don't tell Sam."
"Z, you are all he has left."
"I know… I am doing this for him… So, he can have the future we never had, a family, kids, a world without war."
"Here you go, then." Kat sighed, taking out a briefcase and opening it to reveal a single morpher, with the 'Gemini' zodiac crest on it. She handed it over to the other woman with a sad smile. "Doggy, Jack, Syd, Sky, Bridge… They would all be very proud of you, and so am I."
Z nodded, as Adam took out a bottle of wine and poured it into three glasses, passing it over to the others.
"Just hope tomorrow goes to plan. To Project Gemini." He said, raising his glass for a toast.
"To Project Gemini." The other two echoed.
