Butterfly Effect

What's going on, my dear readers? I have come back to present you a new chapter again. No big spoilers here already, but some of you might find a certain section and plot change funny. Because it's about another 'Araki forgot' meme. He might've forgotten some things, but I won't forget to update this fanfic. Enjoy.

Chapter 27: Legitimate Questioning

Back at home, Josuke was in the midst of a phone call, talking with his new acquaintances Jotaro and Kakyoin. The former was the one on the speaker, while the ladder listened to the loudspeaker. It were the two men who initiated the call, by researching the Higashikata household's phone number.

"What I'm saying is, that man was possessed by a Stand. It was inside of his body and didn't attack me after it got out." Josuke told, reporting his earlier altercation with Angelo, whose identity he didn't know yet.

"Was Angelo anywhere near you at that time?" Jotaro questioned.

"Huh?" The pompadour was confused, not having the slightest clue who that was. "Who was near me?"

"Angelo is the man in that picture." Noriaki clarified.

"No, I don't think so." Josuke answered, inwardly nervous. 'At least I didn't see him.'

"Ok, listen to me. Strength wise, that Stand is really weak. But the user can control it from a distance and use it to get into other people's bodies." Jotaro explained, informing his young uncle about the enemy Stand as the need for him to know got more urgent. "We're coming to your house now. Until we're here, don't eat or drink anything. And stay away from the bathroom altogether, alright?"

"Eh? You're coming over right now?" the teen let out, startled. "I haven't told mom about you yet!"

There was a brief moment of silence on both sides of the line.

"My mother's very strong, but she's still in love with Joseph, and she cries when she thinks about him." Josuke spoke, letting his Joestar relative know about the implications. "If she looks at you, she'll be able to tell that you're his grandson right away."

Meanwhile, the mother Josuke was talking about, Tomoko, was sitting in the kitchen, the room next to the one he was in, drinking coffee and discovering a photo her son left on the table earlier. "Josuke, where did you get this picture?"

She took a look, recognizing the man pictured.

"Hey, I just met this guy! He's the milkman… Do you two know each other?"

Having heard her clearly, including the coffee sip, the boy's alarm flared up. Bearing a serious face, he quickly stepped over to the kitchen door, observing his mother. Just then he saw the earlier enemy Stand enter her mouth.

"Hey, Josuke! Is something wrong?" the redhead inquired, noting that the pompadour had been silent longer than usual.

"Oh no! It's already too late! I saw it going into my mom's mouth from her coffee." Josuke told, picking up a close-by glass bottle and emptying it.

After saying what he said, he put down the phone and walked into the kitchen, briefly leaving ignoring the two calling his name.

He entered the kitchen with a neutral stance and face, hiding the glass bottle behind his back.

"Josuke, did you want a cup of coffee?" Tomoko asked, not suspecting anything.

"Yeah… Can you put some milk and sugar in it?"

"Sure." she said with a nod, turning around and reaching for the coffee.

The moment Tomoko fully turned her back to Josuke, he summoned his Stand, letting it grab the glass bottle and punch a hole through her, crushing the bottle in the process and then promptly reforming it with the target inside, before pulling back its fist and also healing her body back to normal. All within a fraction of a second and faster than light.

In the end, his mother didn't notice a single thing.

"…Josuke? Milk and sugar, was it?"

"Yeah, I want both, please." he repeated before picking up the phone again.

"Hey, I caught the Stand." Josuke said while eyeing the bottle acting as a prison. It was filled with a creepy little humanoid, making gurgling sounds of anger. Even though he was technically safe, the teen was still creeped out. "What should I… do with it?"

"Be on your guard, Josuke! Angelo is lurking somewhere near your house, spying your every move!" Jotaro warned, his voice tense and raised to get the point across. "Don't underestimate his Stand, even if it's stuck inside a bottle!"

"It can transform into any liquid, like milk or coffee. I doubt we can kill him by physical means, so keep watch over it until we arrive, got it?" Kakyoin directed, emphasizing the last part.

"Okay, I got it." the teen received the order. "When will you arrive, though?"

"We'll be on our way as soon as this call ends. You just stay alert and watch that Stand."

"Understood."

Taking their warnings seriously, Josuke frowned.

"See you soon. Bye."

"Bye."

With that, the call ended and a meetup was facilitated.

XXXXXXXXXX

While waiting for his guests, Josuke sat down in the living room, playing video games on a console and the family TV. He put the bottle serving as a prison on the sofa table next to him, keeping the dangerous entity close and checking it out time and time, like when the 'GAME OVER' screen popped up.

Often times, the bottle appeared calm, as if it was filled with only normal, ordinary water. But the pompadour could see through that farce with negative effort.

"Hey… Stop hiding like that!"

He'd grab the bottle and violently shake it, forcing the enemy Stand to show itself and complain.

"UBWAARGH!" the little water monster roared, angrily reacting to the boy's provocations. "GHUGH! WAARGH!"

"Good, good! You're still there." Josuke taunted, half warily and half comfortably.

Meanwhile, Angelo, who physically felt the rough shaking done to his Stand, was getting filled and filled with stress.

"That son of a bitch!" the murderer cursed, clenching his teeth and sweating loads.

Trying to control himself, he aggressively grabbed the lawn beneath the bushes he was hiding in. "I gotta… I gotta get out of that canteen!"

And when he did, he'd get revenge. "Goddamn, I'm gonna kill him! I'll seriously kill this little brat and his babe of a mom!"

Though that was easier said than done. "But how can I? I won't give up. I just need to open it, or break it somehow!"

Just then, a younger elderly man in a police uniform was riding his bike up the Higashikata Family home's driveway, into the garage. To Angelo's surprise, he recognized that person.

"Wh…?! That's the cop… He's the one…"

Bad memories came up when thinking about him. Angelo's face soured significantly.

"I know that cop pretty well… Higashikata… Oh yeah, they got the same family name alright. So this is Sergeant Higashikata's house, huh?" the notorious criminal realized, an expression of fanatical anger on his face. "I'm surprised he's still on duty. He's the one who arrested me when I was 12 and sent me to jail… How nostalgic! Higashikata Ryohei, I know everything about you…"

Back inside the house, the old Higashikata, who stealthily entered, greeted his grandson with a gun, holding it against the side of the pompadour's head.

"Freeze!" he warned, authoritarian in tone. "Josuke! Shouldn't you be in school at this hour?"

"Grandpa…" the kid reacted with genuine fear, breaking out in cold sweat. "How can you bring a gun back home?!"

"Shut up! Answer me!"

"I'm just waiting for somebody right now!" the teen honestly answered straight away, not daring to lie.

Upon hearing that, the veteran policeman removed the gun. On top of this, the stern and authoritative demeanor also went away.

"Heh! Gehihihi… I'm just kidding! This is a fake gun." Mr. Higashikata revealed, finding his joke very funny.

"Damn you…" Josuke muttered, annoyed but relaxed. All feelings of agitation and danger went away.

"You scaredy cat! You should've seen the look on your face! Dehihihi!" Ryohei laughed, really enjoying his banter.

"Mom is in the kitchen, go play with her instead." Josuke dismissed him, turning away.

Incidentally, a news report just came on, catching both their attention.

"And now on today's news: The police reported a serial killing involving 7 people. All of the bodies were found with fatal injuries on their eyes and ears. These murders have only happened in the area of Morioh as of now, and are still being investigated on."

"…"

The humorous atmosphere from seconds ago seamlessly changed into a dead serious one. That information absolutely was no laughing matter.

"7 deaths… This many already?"

KNOWING this was Angelo's work, Josuke turned around, eyeing the bottle.

"I heard about this recently. It's the work of a serial murderer, that's for sure. This dangerous freak is still lurking somewhere nearby… I can sense it."

How right he was!

*VROOOM*

As evident by the engine sound, a car pulled up on the sidewalk next to their house. Guessing it was Jotaro and Kakyoin, Josuke looked outside the window, confirming it to be them.

"It's them."

Angelo, who'd been secretly watching them, used the moment where they both didn't watch the bottle to change the liquid and bottle's appearance.

"I know you too well, Higashikata!" he quietly proclaimed outside, still hiding in the bushes and sweating out of grudge. "After your nightly shift, you just love having yourself a nice glass of cognac, don'tcha?"

That bottle now appeared to be a bottle of Ryohei's favorite cognac brand, looking indistinguishable.

Josuke, who didn't notice any of this, opened the window to greet his guests.

"Josuke, get in the car and bring that bottle with you." Jotaro immediately instructed, getting out of the car but only stepping out of it, keeping the door wide open. They'd soon drive away without delay.

"We'll be going somewhere else, without any bystanders." Kakyoin explained, doing the exact same.

About to do as he was told, the pompadour turned around, intending to take the bottle and leave. But as his eyes met the bottle, it was lying sideways on the sofa table, empty. Its cap had been removed. A bit of the liquid had been spilled.

Just from this alone, Josuke was getting tense. Angelo's Stand had escaped, obviously meaning lethal danger for everyone in the vicinity, concisely his family.

As the boy looked around, his eyes became even more intense. Behind the sofa table but slightly next to it, he could see his grandfather's hand, stretched out.

Carefully approaching it, he wanted to see the situation up close. He had suspicion and fear, which he wanted to clear. But when he finally got to see everything, he froze in shock.

"Gra… Grandpa!"

His grandfather was lying collapsed on the floor, dead silent. His eyes looked lifeless and there was blood coming out of his mouth.

"Hee Hee Hee!"

Hearing that wretched laughter, Josuke's eyes shut wide open.

The Stand crawled out, proceeding to point at and laugh at Josuke.

"Higashikata Josuke, you stupid brat. I hope you're proud of yourself! Kekeke… Watching someone like you in despair makes me feel…" Angelo mocked through the mouth of his Stand, bearing a viciously gloating expression. "Huhaaa! Soooo gooood! Reeeheheheee!"

Hearing the serial killer's stupid laugh making fun of him after having killed his beloved grandpa, Josuke's fuses blew. His eyes went dark real quick, a violent aura erupted around him.

"!"

Angelo's cockiness went away just as fast.

"DORARARARAAAAAA!"

Without holding back, Josuke's Stand unleashed a relentless barrage on Angelo's, blowing him apart into bits in less than one second. If not for the enemy Stand's intangible body, it would've already been over.

Countless bits of water splashed over the ground and wall nearby, eventually reaccumulating into one body. Angelo, having survived that, felt groggy. Josuke and his Stand really did a number on him.

"Ugh, he's pretty strong…"

Having been involuntarily humbled, the man didn't fail to acknowledge the boy's strength. Josuke had just proven to be a tough enemy. But Angelo was persistent and he'd let him know that.

"You still haven't tasted true despair! I'll get you next time, you can be sure of that." He declared with evil determination before withdrawing and disappearing into the wall.

Josuke, being able to count on Angelo being gone for a while, immediately kneeled down to tend his grandfather.

At the same time, Jotaro and Kakyoin entered through the front door themselves, having heard the Stand altercation.

"My old man opened the bottle." the teen informed, talking to them with his back turned. "But no worries, small wounds like these are nothing! My Stand will fix him up in no time!"

Optimistic about his Stand power, Josuke quickly healed his grandfather. In a jiffy, all external wounds were no more.

"There, all better!"

Though contrary to his expectations, his grandpa didn't wake up. The officer continued lying down, not opening his eyes, let alone his mouth.

"!?"

Getting uneasy about this, the pompadour's optimism visibly went away.

"How could this be… He should be up by now…" Josuke spoke, beginning to sweat heavily. "My Stand can heal anything. I've been healing people since I was a kid! I fixed broken bones and stuff all the time. His injuries should be completely healed!"

He tried to rationalize this, unable to understand his powers not fully working for the first time ever.

"Hey grandpa! If this is another Joke, it's not funny!" In denial, he held his grandfather by the collar and shook him. "Oh, I get it! You overexerted yourself and you're just asleep!"

Jotaro then softly placed his hand on Josuke's shoulder, getting him to look at him and listen. "Josuke…"

"No! The wound…" the teen still went on, holding on to his hope. "But it's completely…"

That hand on his shoulder, as time passed, felt increasingly heavier. Physically it wasn't getting heavier, though, as Jotaro didn't push more and add pressure. It was all emotional.

"Humans thrive on the destruction of others. But among them there's you, and your power is the kindest, most generous ability one could ever have…" the elder nephew softly said, trying to console the younger uncle. "However, you can't bring back life once it has ended. No Stand can do that…"

Someone disagreed with that opinion, drastically overturning the entire atmosphere.

"What? Are you serious, Jotaro? What about the time you revived Joestar-san?" Noriaki questioned, perplexed and almost angry about the stark contrast in Jotaro's action then and now. "Didn't you use [Star Platinum] to artificially pump his heart again? What's stopping you now?"

Josuke, who was just about to give up and fully accept his grandpa had already died, found new hope. His eyes briefly lit up and his heart beat faster. The pompadour raised his head, looking at the two's exchange.

"Well…" This was uncomfortable and actually embarrassing for Jotaro. Now Josuke would think he'd lied to him. "I don't think it'll work this time. You can't compare gramps to an ordinary person like him."

"Of course I know that! Joestar-san IS a truly special human, his soul is especially one of a kind level strong and vigorous." the redhead retorted. "But there's still a difference between trying in vain and failing to save this man's life, and not trying at all!"

Sweat of shame was building up on the Joestar's face. Arguing with Kakyoin at such a time was inappropriate and awkward. And it was his own fault to boot.

"You know what, let me do it." Noriaki declared, taking the initiative. Merely standing there and arguing wouldn't help. Actually managing to save Higashikata Ryohei's life and successfully reviving him was already super slim in chance, next to nothing and almost certainly futile. Every millisecond wasted would only lower that ultra miniscule chance by magnitudes. "I also have Hamon, which should help with invigorating him."

[Hierophant Green] phased its arm through the old man's chest, grabbing his heart and starting to pump. Simultaneously, its master was letting Hamon flow into the dead man's body.

"Oi, you're seriously doing it?!" Jotaro did feel bad about acting this way, but that endeavor really seemed impossible to him. With Joseph, nothing was out of the ordinary. With this random, totally ordinary old man, there was a real miracle needed to put his soul back into his body.

His hope back and full, Josuke was getting overwhelmed with emotions. Like the redhead previously said, it was likely this revival attempt was in vain and wouldn't succeed. But Josuke, he WANTED to believe in the off chance of success. Just trembling inwardly, he half closed his eyes and stood still, praying with his hands pressed together in front of his face.

Meanwhile, Angelo who could hear the events through his Stand hidden inside the walls couldn't believe it.

'No way… You're fucking with me, right?!' he thought in utter disbelief, dumbfounded. 'Who the fuck are these people?! Are they really going to ruin my kill?!'

Clenching his teeth in fury and fear, he hoped that this attempt at saving Officer Higashikata would fail massively. Or else he'd be really mad at both the unexpected obstacles and his own failure.

So Kakyoin momentarily became a paramedic, using his Stand to try and restart old man Higashikata's heart again. He could differentiate between pumps done by him and pumps done by the old man's restarted heart. At first, all pumps were his own product.

He also used his own Hamon to help the blood flow, cleansing it and initiating a new bloodstream to get Ryohei's lungs to work and supply oxygen to the blood and brain again. After the blood was flowing anew, he utilized the Hamon to re-stimulate the nervous system.

Jotaro watched in surprise his friend attempting to achieve the impossible. He was doubtful about success, but impressed and moved by Noriaki trying and giving his all, despite the odds.

Josuke slightly opened his eyes, peeking at the scene. He allowed himself to observe the operation just a little.

While the redhead had success at starting up the body and getting the vitals to work again, this was merely temporary and all only kept up by him. If he were to stop the support, the old man would become a corpse again. The by far hardest part was to get the soul to descend back down, making it return into the bodily vessel. So far, no success.

'That guy's been trying to revive him for like 5 minutes now… Hahaha! Looks like a failure! That old fart is dead, and these idiots are going to be too, soon!'

Kakyoin himself was about to give up and concede, but something miraculous happened.

"!"

From above, where none of the three men were looking, Higashikata Ryohei's soul came floating down, slowly entering the flesh body.

The grandson couldn't believe his eyes. His dead grandfather was about to become alive again. That stolen life was getting back.

'Holy crap… It's just like with gramps!' Jotaro too had his mind blown. 'Kakyoin, you madlad! You actually did it!'

A few seconds after the soul fully entered the body, the practically born again Higashikata Ryosuke opened his eyes, blinking a few times.

"H- Huh?"

Severely confused, the man turned his head to his left, his eyes falling on his familiar beloved grandson and two unfamiliar young men. "W- What is this? I'm alive?!"

"You are, Sir." Noriaki kindly spoke, looking him in the eyes. "You were recently attacked and passed away after being inflicted deadly wounds, but I have resuscitated you."

"…" Ryohei thought, remembering a terrible feeling just after having a small drink, before he'd lost consciousness. "Very weird… Anyways, you have my thanks! How can I ever repay you for this?"

'FUCK! FUCKING FUCK!' Angelo was absolutely seething. His long-time, begrudged enemy he'd been waiting for to kill for decades was brought back to life by some outsider. He wasn't going to let this go by. 'MOTHERFUCKER! I'll skin you alive and gouge out your eyes! I'll rip out your tongue and your guts! I'll splatter your genitals all over the place and debone you!'

Josuke, greatly moved by this all, teared up. His eyes were getting red and teary from sheer gratitude. He wanted to hug his grandfather tightly and cry ugly tears.

"Grandpa, I-"

"Oh, no. Cease it." the redhead interrupted the emotional pompadour, politely but firmly. "Sorry Josuke, but now is not the time to get emotional. Your grandfather may be alive again, but he's also in danger again. I'll evacuate him and your mother, so your reunion will have to wait until Jotaro and you neutralize Angelo."

"He's right, it's too early to let your guard down. We need to take care of Angelo, as soon as possible." Jotaro added afterwards, trying to get his uncle to become serious anew.

Bitterly swallowing the cry induced saliva, Josuke wiped his tears away. He was slightly pissed, but could understand. "Ah…"

"Sir" Kakyoin addressed the elderly police officer, a stoic look in his eyes. "As you were attacked, it is dangerous for you to remain here. I'll have to evacuate you and your daughter from this house."

"O- Okay, I get it." the man nodded, confused but understanding that there was a need for him to comply.

"Can you stand up?"

"I- I should. Let's see…"

Taking longer than normally due to obvious circumstances, the old man eventually picked himself up from the ground, standing tall again. Noriaki wrapped his arm around his shoulder for protection.

"Let's go. We'll take your daughter with us and leave." the redhead directed.

Nodding weakly, Ryohei followed.

"Ahm… See you later, I guess?" he said to Josuke one more time, looking at him.

"Yeah…"

With that, Kakyoin and Mr. Higashikata left the living room, leaving behind Jotaro and Josuke, who were going to deal with Angelo.

"Oi, Angelo!" the elder one called, his voice rough but serious. "We challenge you to a fight, no holds barred. If you manage to defeat us, you can go and try killing Josuke's family. But we're not gonna let that happen, right, Josuke?"

"Right…" the younger one affirmed, now directly directing his anger towards Angelo. "I'll make you pay for what you did to grandpa! You won't be able to escape us, got it?!"

"Challenge fucking accepted, cocky assholes! All of you will die, first you two and then the others!" Angelo reacted with humongous annoyance, his Stand's voice coming from the walls. "But you seem to be misunderstanding. I'm not trapped in here with you, you are trapped in here with me! Enjoy your final day, fuckwads!"

And so, the battle began.

XXXXXXXXXX

For the last few hours, Jotaro and Josuke had been patrolling the house. So far, no signs of Angelo or his Stand. They truly were stealthy, as expected from such a first-class criminal.

Naturally, they became hungry and thirsty with the passage of time. Though the thirst part was to be handled extremely carefully, since it could be infected with evil.

"Hey Josuke, hand me a bottle please." Jotaro kindly demanded. "I'll prepare a safe drink for us."

"Okay, here you go."

After he received the bottle, he opened the faucet of the kitchen sink and filled the bottle with tap water, which totally confused his uncle.

"Jotaro-san, what exactly is safe about that?" the pompadour questioned, raising his brows.

"Well, it's easy to find out if the water is safe to drink or not, by doing this." Jotaro answered, closing the bottle and handing it to [Star Platinum] which shook the bottle ten thousand times harder and faster than a bartender shaking a cocktail.

"ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!"

"That should do the trick."

Angelo, who was secretly spying on them through a drop o water on the rim around the faucet opening, was staring flabbergasted. If he'd sneaked his Stand inside the bottle, the forces of the shaking would've knocked him out, perhaps even physically around, in the air and such. He'd more than dodged a bullet.

'Damn…'

Josuke too was sweatdropping. "I guess if we do that, that is a good indicator…"

Next thing he did was grabbing a glass and let Jotaro fill it up. But when the latter opened the bottle, half of it sprayed out like a fountain, wetting the former's head and top.

"Thanks for the shower…" the teen grumbled, not liking that his hair was wet.

"Sorry…" the young man awkwardly apologized, looking away in embarrassment. His sight fell on the window, which showed the outside. He then noticed that the clouds turned dark gray. "Speaking of showers, it looks like it'll start raining soon."

"Not good." Josuke mumbled, taking a shrug. "Angelo will have a field day with this."

"Well, as long as the rain doesn't reach the inside, it should be no big problem." Jotaro argued, unintentionally inspiring Angelo.

'Ha! Now I know what I gotta do!'

XXXXXXXXXX

Which is why soon after, the two Joestars found that a huge issue had occurred. Rainwater started leaking from the ceiling. Drops fell from the little gaps between the ceiling tiles.

"Leaks… Angelo made holes on the roof!" Josuke realized, pressing his teeth together. "That means we cannot go to the second floor! Man, that is not so great…"

Jotaro peeked outside the kitchen door, wanting to see how bad the corridors looked like. Maybe there was water flowing down the stairs. But he didn't even need to look that far, as a separate problem had been brewing. There was steam leaking out of the bathroom door.

"Ah! Not the bathroom!"

This was bathwater boiling. They couldn't just go in and turn it off, not only because of the steam which Angelo's Stand could be controlling, but also because the floor might be wet if the lavatory was turned open.

"Damn, that Angelo's pretty cunning! I really shouldn't underestimate water-based Stands like these…" Jotaro complained, sweating in agitation.

For Angelo, it was the best time to attack. He dared to make himself a visible vapor cloud, gunning for their mouths. He wanted to get inside and possess them, without holding back anymore.

"Unbelievable! He's trying to get in our mouths!" Jotaro called, for the first time in over 10 years in great danger. "So, Josuke… When you're in a pinch like this, how would you escape and gain the upper hand?"

"Gain the upper hand?" Josuke repeated, first nervously eyeing his surroundings, then fixing his expression. "I know my way might be a little unorthodox, but…"

*PUNCH*

*PUNCH*

*PUNCH*

"It involves tearing shit down!"

His Stand demolished the wall next to him and he quickly hopped over into the next room. "Hurry up and follow me! Cause the wall's gonna restore itself!"

Following Josuke's instructions for the first time, Jotaro did just that and also switched rooms. As soon as they were together again, Josuke made the wall whole and fixed.

"Now the steam won't…" the pompadour was about to say, but was interrupted when the humidifier in that room blew some moisturized air right on his face.

"What…!" Jotaro exclaimed, his eyes widening. "Damn! The humidifier!"

Angelo's Stand, already halfway inside Josuke's mouth, turned back into its original blue form.

"Josuke!"

"I won! You just did what I expected you to! I knew you would break the wall to get in this room!" Angelo bragged, declaring his victory and rejoicing. "Ahaha! Heh! Ueeeeeheheheheh! Be it horse races, exams… When I predict something right, I always do this belly laugh. Buuuweheheh! Cause I feel so lucky! I just can't stop, this is what complete bliss feels like… Buweeeeheheheh! Buweeeeeeeheheheh!"

As soon as the Stand finished its ugly laugh, it slipped fully inside the teen's mouth, causing him to choke.

"Gulp! Urgh!"

"Oh no!" the elder Joestar let out, sweating in concern.

"Hurgh! Bluuuuurgh!" The younger Joestar was now grabbing his chin in discomfort, sweating harder than his nephew.

"Josuke!"

"Ugh… Angelo might think he's got the upper hand… He's wrong, Jotaro-san…" the pompadour gulped out, a bit of blood getting smearing on his lips.

"…Josuke?" Jotaro quietly murmured in confusion, sweatdropping.

"Even if his prediction was right, that bastard Angelo couldn't predict this!"

"?!"

"UOOOOOH!"

Josuke then barfed out a dark reddish latex glove, the opening tied closed into a knot. It dropped on the ground, with Angelo's Stand wildly moving around inside in panic.

"Buhgyaaaaaah!"

"I got him, phew… Man, that was nasty. Sorry about that." Josuke apologized, self-aware about that. "I swallowed a latex glove earlier just in case he was able to get inside me."

"…" Jotaro said nothing, being both impressed by the quick thinking and also disgusted.

Now that Angelo was caught and trapped, it was time to find him. Josuke opened the window, expecting to see Angelo outside.

He then violently shook the glove with his Stand, just like Jotaro had done so earlier with a water bottle.

"DORARARARARAAAA!"

Because whatever happened to a Stand would also transfer to the user, Angelo was literally shaken. Up and down, violently. He was first elevated in the air, then came crashing down on the ground.

"UWOOOOOOOOH!"

"UWAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Angelo was hurt pretty badly after that. He hit branches, trees and the ground with full force. So badly that he couldn't stand up and ran away, but had to resort to crawling.

Thus, Angelo retreated, crawling away on the wet sidewalk in the rain like a worm.

"Hah, hah, haa… Damn it!" he cursed, breathing heavily. Those guys really did a number on him, so he wanted to lose them as soon as possible.

But when he looked back to see if they were following him, they'd already caught up, towering just behind him and menacingly looking down with shadowed eyes.

"Oh crap!" Angelo knew he was cooked.

"So you are…"

"Angelo…"

When they spoke to him in that dark and low tone, the crazy killer panicked and forced himself onto his feet despite the pain, just to somehow get away faster. He did not want to be captured and beaten up by them. "Tch… SHIT!"

"…"

Willingly, Josuke allowed him to run away for some meters, before tightly gripping the latex glove and making a rapid downwards motion with his arm, forcing Angelo to violently stumble. It seemed that he'd forgotten about this, but was reminded soon enough. "Augh!"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" the murderer screamed, realizing that he wasn't going to get away and would most definitely get his dues. "No way, no way!"

He was terrified, but tried to weasel himself out as a last resort, for he had no other method to apply.

"Heheh… You aint thinking about killing me, aint'cha?! Yeah, I'm an escaped convict, a pretty sick one at that. Hell, some even say I'm cursed. But even if I was sentenced to death, you don't have the right to judge me!" Angelo desperately spurted out, pointing at Josuke with his index finger. "Josuke, I did kill your grandfather, at least before that other guy revived him, but you don't have the right to kill me! Cause if you do, you'll be a murderer, just like me! What will he think about you if that happens?!"

Josuke directly punched Angelo's finger with his high-speed Stand, instantly breaking it and also sending it crashing against a nearby rock. "Quit pointing at me, you're so annoying!"

"OWWW! SHIT!" the killer yelled out in pain, his face very much expressing how much that hurt.

Though the second he looked at his injury, the pain was abruptly overwritten by shock and fear.

"Wha- A R- R- ROCK AND MY RIGHT HAND! THEY'RE FUSED TOGETHER! WHAT THE FUCK!" he exclaimed in disbelief, his tongue wide out as he discovered that his hand and a stone were one. Courtesy of Josuke's special power.

"No one is going to kill you. Neither I, nor Jotaro-san or even the Japanese Government! Hell, you won't even go to jail!" the pompadour unkindly clarified.

"Josuke, he's all yours." Jotaro calmly allowed, expecting his uncle to fuck Angelo's shit up. "Go crazy!"

"Wh- What…?!" Angelo was getting a terrifically bad feeling.

"Welcome to purgatory, Angelo! You'll be atoning for your crimes for a long time… For those who you killed and my grandpa!" Josuke declared with a furious expression, announcing to Angelo that time for punishment was now.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAH! WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO, YOU BASTAAAAAAAAAARDS?!"

"DOORARARARARARARARARARARARARAAAAAAAAA!"

Angelo was pummeled hardcore. He received a long barrage of heavy Stand fists at FTL speed, leaving many indentures all over his body that almost looked like holes. He was severely disfigured and had many bones broken, but that was not the worst thing which happened to him. Angelo was sent flying into a larger rock, fusing with the cracked pieces. Now it was not only his hand, but the entirety of him.

"You'll live in this town forever… as a rock!" Josuke announced, his face only expressing cold contempt.

"HUUUUH?!"

Shocked to hear this, Angelo looked around. His eyes and mouth could move, but that was really it. Nearly all other body parts were completely immobile, since they were now one with the rock, and rocks can't move freely.

"N- NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

It was over for him, Angelo was done. Nothing could save him. Though still, he wouldn't be left alone yet.

"By the way Angelo, while you can still talk, I have some questions. How did you suddenly become a Stand User while you were in jail?" Jotaro questioned, starting to interrogate him. "That's one piece of the puzzle I haven't figured out yet."

"GHAAAAAAAG! SHIIIIIIIIIT!" the 'rock human' exclaimed, not bothering with collaborating but rather fully venting out his frustration. "I hope you're happy! How could you do this…!"

"Angelo, you weren't born with your Stand. What happened?" Jotaro repeated, his voice and gaze more stern and less tolerant than before. "Speak…"

"Gh… Ghaaaaaah! Ghaaaaaaah!" the mineral man let out in hopeless, defeated annoyance before starting to talk normally. "Ah, screw it! I'll tell you everything. It was this 'man with a high school uniform'! And anyways, he'll kill you in my stead!"

"…"

Both Joestars had no clue whoever that was.

"A man wearing a high school uniform?"

"Today's school jackets are a lot classier than the ones I used to wear. Anyways… this guy turned me into a Stand User." Angelo said.

"'This man'… Who is he?" Jotaro inquired in a slightly pushy tone, not really satisfied with the rather bland statement of the enemy Stand User.

"Ghi… Gheeeee!" Angelo laughed weirdly in his own way before telling the whole story.

"Last year, 6 months before my execution. That's when he appeared… That night, I just couldn't sleep. I just laid there and stared at my cell's ceiling… Anyways, I was also thinking about a way to steal that porn mag the guy in the cell next to me was hiding… The night was quiet, the moon slightly veiled…" he first described, not yet disclosing anything relevant. "All of a sudden, there was someone looking at me from the shadows. I felt like I was being watched. At first I thought I was another one of these jackass guards, but I was wrong."

"A man was there. He was standing real close, right next to my bed. He was wearing a high school uniform. I'm calling him a man instead of a kid, because it was too dark to see his face. He seemed young, but fairly old at the same time. Before I could even think about how he got in my room, I yelled." he elaborated, stating all he could about that person's appearance. "Then, I realized he was holding a bow and an arrow. They looked ancient! About a few centuries old! And in a flash, he aimed his arrow directly at me. I was really scared! The kind of fear that makes your balls shrink! And before I could scream, I was shot through the mouth, and the arrow pierced the back of my head! And then, a sharp pain and feeling like a lightning bolt struck me!"

"…" Josuke said nothing as he was making a face of disbelief. That story sounded pretty wild.

"So you think I dreamed it? You think I just made it all up, huh?" Angelo asked with an uppity voice, poking at his victorious enemy after picking that emotion up.

"Just continue your story. I'll decide if I believe it or not." Jotaro commanded, much more serious in comparison.

"Ghehehee! I was pierced by the arrow, but I didn't die! I was still alive!" he continued, like he was told to. "The man spoke for the first time. He first congratulated me for surviving. He said I've got some natural abilities, as otherwise I would've died. He said I've been pierced by the 'Holy Arrow' and survived, thus I've acquired a certain power, a power a man named 'DIO' used to call 'Stand'."

Jotaro's eyes widened and heart beat harder when he heard that name. 'DIO! What?'

"He said a Stand is a spiritual power, and that this power awakened within my mind. He said he chose me because dangerous criminals usually have more chances to develop this kind of ability." he went on, adding more information. "That man then pulled the arrow out, which made feel that electric feeling again. And then, for the first time, I manifested my power. My Stand."

"…"

"He said I won't be killed when I'm executed, and that I'll be able to escape. He said I could do whatever I want once I'm outside. Steal, kill, anything I feel like doing." he reported. "When I asked him who he was, he said that's not important. He said he was like me, simply looking for more people of our kind. People who have this kind of power. Finally, before leaving, he said he lived in Morioh, where I come from too, and that I should go back there if I wanted to see him again. I dunno how he opened the door, but he left."

"And that's how I got my Stand." Angelo concluded his backstory. "I don't know who this man is or why he gave me this power. I don't even care. I was even ready to come and join him, provided his plan was fun."

"That story…" Jotaro started, hesitating a bit before Josuke spoke instead.

"Yeah! It's bull… Who'd believe something like that?"

"Yeah, see… I believe him." the elder Joestar stated his opinion.

"EEEEH?" the younger Joestar let out in surprise, his eyes and mouth widening a little.

"He said the name 'DIO'. It belongs to a man who existed… 10 years ago." Jotaro reasoned. "I always wondered why DIO developed his Stand power in 1988. But it looks like the answer lies in his story. That guy might be an enemy. The bow and arrow he possesses-"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!"

A horrified scream of sheer panic suddenly rang out through the pain. The pair of Joestars turned around, seeing that a young, unsuspecting boy passing by was being attacked by the latex glove with Angelo's Stand inside. It was grabbing the kid by his chin, and one finger was entering his mouth.

"What?!"

"Morons! You were too busy listening to my story that you forgot to pay attention to my [Aqua Necklace]!" Angelo spoke up, insulting them with a malicious grin. "It fled while it was still in the rubber glove. It might not be a very powerful Stand, but it's got enough strength to squash that kid's brain!"

"Augh…!" Poor boy was really struggling.

"Son of a… You could still move your-"

"JOSUKE! GET ME OUT OF THIS GODDAMN ROCK RIGHT NOW!" Angelo loudly ordered, lashing out with his anger.

"Heh… Looks like deep down, I wasn't feeling enough anger towards you…" the pompadour remarked, taking out a comb and calmly combing his hair.

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! STOP COMBING YOUR SHITTY HAIR!" Angelo brashly barked, really irritated with the teen's behavior. "I'LL KILL THAT BOY IF YOU DON'T HURRY UP AND GET ME OUT OF HERE!"

"What?" Jotaro let out in danger, worrying that this might rile up Josuke to the point where he would lose himself in anger and get careless. But as soon as he saw his fuming uncle, he realized it was too late. "Ah!"

"What did you say… about my hair?"

"Cool it, Josuke! That child's life is-" he tried to warn, though again, it was too late.

In an instant, Josuke's Stand thrashed rocky Angelo with impunity. Its punches were harder, faster and more numerous. The Angelo rock was crushed to numerous pieces. He was battered so hard, [Aqua Necklace] and the glove it was inside were blown away from the young boy, who was now safe.

"This jackass greatly deserved to be embedded in this rock… a bit like that." Josuke said with disdain in both his voice and eyes. "Yeah, I wasn't angry enough earlier."

The new Angelo rock, re-modified by the pompadour, was now looking like a joke figure. It had Angelo's exaggerated brow ridge looking like a 'V', two small and beady eyes far apart from each other, and a crooked mouth as characteristics. The new, definitive Angelo rock was basically a deservedly stupid caricature of Angelo.

"…"

"What immense speed… That kid sure is crazy." Jotaro reacted, impressed and astonished but not reacting too fancily. "But the scariest thing isn't his Stand's speed… It's his attitude."

Okay, that's it for this chapter. I will now explain my writing choices. All are based on my personal gripes with some things when I first read and watched.

First, about Josuke's grandpa. I found it weird that in the original, Jotaro made no effort in trying to heal him, when he went through so much trouble reviving his own grandpa. Yes, Joseph is special, he's built different, but I was really put off with Jotaro not doing anything. So yes, Kakyoin is my self insert expressing my gripes to him. By the way, I have a reason as to why I made Officer Higashikata live. You'll see next chapter, which is going to be very short and more like an omake chapter than a real, full chapter. That's why it'll also come out quite soon, in less than half a month at most.

Next, about the Angelo fight itself. In canon, the fight ended a few days after Josuke's grandpa was killed. I have several problems with this. How did Josuke's mom manage to leave the house while Angelo was watching? Where did she stay during that time? When and where did Josuke sleep? Angelo could've attacked either of them. I know this is just fanfiction, but having Kakyoin explicitly evacuate her, and the fight ending before Josuke would have to sleep and show vulnerability is much more logical. Don't you think so, too?
