A Little Hazbin Ch. 15
Everyone from the Raid of V Tower is now resting at the Hotel.
Charlie is sitting in the lobby with her girlfriend and the rest of her family. It was an almost perfect family moment with her parents together, her mom still holding her granddaughter. It brings the kind of feeling that she missed after her mom left. Which brings the question.
"Where have you been?" Lucifer asks, causing everyone to freeze and Celest to look up in confusion.
Lilith offers a warm smile to Celest as she sets the child down. "Why don't you go play? There's some grown up talk that needs to happen."
"Okay," Celest says as she walks out the room, briefly glancing at everyone before she was fully out of the room.
The Queen finally tells them. "I was in paradise." The looks given told Lilith that they were confused. "After your father and I agreed to live separately for the time being, Adam came to me and said that he would show me what my life could have been like," she shrugs. "He was as much of a pig as I remembered but I was tempted," the woman then eyes her husband. "Wouldn't be the first time I was tempted by an unusual man."
"You…" Lucifer speaks up. "…were with Adam this entire time?"
Hearing that, Lilith lets out a small laugh, "Of course not! Not that stopped him from trying. It seemed like the perfect life, but I did miss you," her gaze leaves her husband and wanders over to her daughter. "Both of you. I tried returning once but Adam wouldn't let me. Turns out it was less about showing me what I could have but rather keeping me away from you. I wasn't even allowed to contact you. It turns out paradise was meant to be its own version of a prison. I don't think Adam told Lute that given that the new Commander was eager to send me down here to stop this Hotel thing."
"Wait!?" Vaggie raised a brow. "Lute's now the leader of the Extermination Army."
Lilith nods in confirmation.
"Well," Lucifer stands. "At least we can go home now and truly be a family again, Lily," he offers his wife a hand.
The Queen of Hell looks at the offer before shaking her hand. "It's not that simple, Lucy. It's been eight years and there were reasons why we agreed to the separation. We may still be married but I am not sure I'm ready to truly go home yet." Her eyes then caught something in the shadows and she stands. "If I may be excused?" but the Queen does not wait for an answer as she too leaves the room.

Angel Dusk and Cherri Bomb were laughing as they passed a room and stopped to watch what was going on.
"And so the princess buggy kisses the peasant buggy. Leading to the beginning of a forbidden romance." Niffty is putting on a bug show to the Egg Bois and Kayla with the star eyed woman now wearing frilly maid outfit of her own, happily clapping.
Angel turns to Cherri. "Should we tell them that Kayla isn't really a three year old?"
Husk then walks by with bottle in hand. "Niffty is the one crazy that I will not touch. But if you want to risk it, suit yourself?"
.oOo.
Carmine is searching through the building for her daughters. They went off on their own with that hellhound.
In one of the rooms she looked for them in, she ended up coming across a conversation between her fellow Overlords and the imps.
"So thou's business is going to the Human Realm and kill humans who have wronged those down here?" Zestial questions.
"That it is," Blitz boasts. "You see, many of the people who end up down are often wronged by others who are just as bad if not worse. So, we merely expedite their journey here."
"Oh, that sounds brilliant!" Rosie tells them. "Saves certain Sinners from waiting to get payback. Could have used you ages ago."
"Indeed," the Ancient Demon agrees with his fellow Overlord. "Given how long we've been here, your proposal for your services is unnecessary."
That's when Moxxi interjected. "We also offer ourselves as bodyguards. But given your high status, that would also be pointless. However! Imagine how many souls would be willing to offer themselves if you agree to help them get even."
Hearing that, Zestial hums as he turns to Rosie. "Thou drives a hard bargain. I cannot speak for others, but thou would like to speak further of the possibility to procure your services."
It was that moment, Carmine walks up to them. "Zestial. Have you seen my daughters."
"Afraid I have not, my friend. The last I saw they were with the daughter of my potential business partner."
Blitz then tells the Arms Dealer, "I passed them on the way here. They were out on a balcony."
"Thank you, Blitz was it?" with that Carmilla walks away.
After searching for several balconies, Carmilla eventually found her daughters on the last one.
"Odette! Clara!" The Arms Dealer called out to them, and her daughters turned in fright, hiding their hands behind their backs. The Hellhound turns around as well revealing the cigarette in her maw. The sight of the smoke caused the woman's eyes to narrow. "I came to check up on you. And as much as I prefer you to make better choices on who you associate with, it's nice to see you being friends with someone closer to your own age," she then raises a brow. "Are you two all right? You seem a little blue." The mother only receives a couple nods. Carmilla then makes her way back downstairs.
After a few moments, Loona's ears twitch and she tells the Sisters. "She's gone."
With the all clear both Odette and Clara stopped holding their breath to release smoke and they started coughing as the two brought their hands around to reveal that they were holding a cigarette.
Clara huffs out. "That was close. If Mom caught us, she'd kill us."
"It's a certainty," Odette agrees as she puts out her smoke. "After such a close call it would be unwise to continue such a bad habit. I don't think either of us will… Clara? Why are you still smoking?"
After taking another puff, the puffy-haired Carmine tells her sister, "I, uh, just don't want it to go to waste," and then gives a sheepish smile.
The spectacled Carmine glares before rolling her eyes and goes off to find her mother.
Once gone, Loona turns back to Clara with a box of cigarettes in hand. "Want my spare pack," the hellhound didn't even bother hiding her smirk.
At first, Clara looked away and then eyes the pack before accepting it. "Thank you."
.oOo.
Lilith was walking down the hall when the Radio Demon stepped out of the shadows behind her. "You've done well, Alastor," she turns to face him. "Thank you for taking care and assisting her with her dream."
"As dreadful as the deal was, in the end," the Sinner bows. "It was my pleasure, Your Majesty!" Once he raised back up, the Demon asks. "May I drop the smile now."
Without showing any emotion, the Queen of Hell tells him. "No." That causes Alastor's eye to twitch. "You are much more pleasant to be around with a smile. But you may take your leave. With me back, I can make sure my daughter is safe myself."
It was at that moment, something about Alastor's smile became disturbing. It was as if he was truly smiling. "I'm fear that I cannot just take off. Especially since you're stuck with me now."
Lilith raised a brow at that statement. "What do you mean by that?"
"My we have everyone's attention!?" Charlies voice rings throughout the building. "Vaggie and I have an announcement!"
Alastor just walks past the Queen with her soon following the Sinner.
Everyone within the Hotel from the staff and guests to the Overlords and IMP, even Kayla who now has a roach necklace added to her accessories, meets up in the lobby where they find Charlie excited about something while Vaggie seems annoyed.
The Princess starts speaking as she picks up her daughter. "Since Celest came into our lives there was one thing that we've been discussing for a while, and we finally came to a decision."
"Charlie," the Fallen Angel speaks up. "This is stupid. We shouldn't have to do this."
"Vaggie," the Hotel Owner looks at her girlfriend in worry. "You're the one who made a deal."
Hearing that, everyone looks to one another in confusion and Angel asks, "What deal?"
"You see, Vaggie…" Charlie started only for the former Exorcist to step up.
"I made a deal with Alastor that if he helps find Celest he can be her godfather," she confesses.
There were different reactions from those present. Some congratulate the Radio Demon, others not caring, and plenty are worried about what this could mean for the little girl. Lilith and Lucifer on the other hand seemed angered. Each for their own reason.
Celest looks up at her moms. "What does that mean?"
"My dear," Alastor walks up to the child. "That means that for whatever reason your mothers are unable to take care of you, you become my responsibility. Not that I would ever imagine that something would happen to these two fine ladies."
Vaggie then smirks. "As for our daughter's godmother."
"What now!?"
"Oh, Vaggie," Charlie hops in place. "Let me, let me! Please, Vaggie! You told them about Alastor! Let me do this part."
The Fallen Angel smiles. "Go for it, Babe."
"We chose Angel Dust!"
That surprised everyone. Including the named demon.
"What!?" Angel asks. "Why me?"
"When Vaggie and I were in Heaven, we watched over you as you protected Niffty. You were practically the mom of the group. Both of us believe that you're perfect for the job."
Hearing that, the Spider Demon grins. "Hear that, Smiles? You're stuck with me."
At that, Alastor growls as he turns back to Vaggie. "This wasn't part of our agreement!"
With a smirk, the grey woman tells him. "This doesn't go against our deal as you never said nothing about not having a co-godparent."
The Radio Demon growls once again before melting into the shadows.
"Honey," Vaggie looks at her daughter in worry. "Are you okay with this?"
"Yeah," Celest nods. "I don't see what's wrong. I like Mr. Alastor and Mr. Angel Dust."
Hearing that everyone smiles at the girl.
Charlie then passes Celest over to her girlfriend before approaching her mom. "Mom. I, uh, I know that you don't want to go back with Dad. So, I was wondering if you'd be willing to stay here?"
Lilith's eyes widen for a moment. "Charlie…"
"There's plenty of room. So, you don't have to spend time with me. You'd be able to do your own thing while we do ours. If you're worried about Dad. He's not allowed to come over without calling ahead after Loo Loo Land. And of course…" she stops as a hand is place over her shoulder.
"I'd love to stay here, Charlie," Lilith offers a small smile. "It'll give me a chance to get to know my granddaughter and your girlfriend," the taller woman then looks over at the shadows. "It will also let me keep a better eye on things."
Charlie turns to where her mother was looking only to see nothing.
"Go and spend some time with your daughter," the Queen tells her. "I know that being separated from her for that long it's all you want to do," before anything else is said, the woman leaves.
The Princess reaches out for her mother but stops herself. She has a feeling that her mom isn't quite ready yet.
"Hey, Charlie," Vaggie calls out as while walking up to her. "Looks like someone's tired." Celest is rubbing her eyes.
Charlie smiles. "I'm not surprised. She had a long day," she pats her daughter on the head. "Would you like to go to your room, Sweetie."
"Actually," the little girl yawns. "Can I sleep you and Mama tonight?"
The couple glance at one another with a smile in silent agreement.
"Sure, Honey," Vaggie says and with that, the family journeys up the stairs.
End
NOTE: This is the official ending to this story. But there are a couple Epilogues coming up and a bonus short. One of which I just couldn't figure out how to fit into the main part of the story naturally and I was afraid it would interfere with the definitive ending.
