My guys, I admit to having teared up a little while writing Valory's speech... Toji is my favorite character of JJK, one who's in my opinion much deeper and highly miss understood.

Valory's speech are some words I'd like to tell that pookie myself. I mean, I know I'm an extreme case of delulu, but parts of me will never stop believing that all that Toji truly wanted was acceptance.

He has never been accepted by anyone from his clan, nobody in general but his first wife apparently. That's why I think so much that deep inside of him he only wants to be accepted truly and genuinely for once in his life.

So Valory is going to do that now.

I've tried something like this in the previous one, trying to make Mamaguro be Valory... But I didn't enjoy how it felt. So let me give this another try (don't kill me for discontinuing Tory1, I think we all agree this one had more potential)

Let's just casually drop both Fanfictions from before and start something much better. The exact reason of why I made this type of fanfiction! One where I could drop ideas I grow to dislike and start others, not being pushed to continue one to the end and eventually just giving up.

Work smarter, not harder. Now let's continue

(Excuse the big introduction, but tiny chapter)

Chapter 14- Tory (2) Part 4

Kindness heals all wounds they say...

Truly kind people somehow manage to heal the scarred people around them.

They do this, without even noticing or trying.

It's something natural to occur, something the one being healed wouldn't be aware of either.

Kindness is such a beautiful thing...

Toji sipped on his coffee and listened attentive to the story Valory was telling him about, sitting in front of him at the table in the the cafe.

"Sounds as if it was quite a crazy morning" he commented and an amused grin ran over his lips. She nodded aggressively and groaned annoyed.

"The absolute worse way a day could ever start, urgh! I mean who wants to wake up to your bedroom full of seagulls pooping everywhere?!"

Toji couldn't help but break out in laughter, he painted the picture too well inside his mind. Valley waking up with a swarm of seagulls sitting everywhere. Her confusion and the disgust, when she saw all of the bird poop.

"Hey! That isn't funny! It took me a hell of a fight to get them out, plus two hours of cleaning!" She complained and crossed her arms in front of he chest.

"I'm sure it was a pain, but I would have loved to take a photo of that" Toji replied and continued laughing at the imaginary picture and her facial expression.

"Hah, you just keep laughing... One day you'll forget to close your window at night and that group of birds with shit you awake too"

"I'll make sure to call you for the help to clean it up, as you're such a specialist already" he mocked her and watched her head turn read in anger.

"Oh you shut up now!"

"Ui, you really are on edge today" he replied and quickly lifted his hands apologetic, when her deadly glaze pierced him.

"Alright now woman, I'll stop"

He chuckled and grabbed his cup to take another sip, eyes resting on Valory, who was poking into the emptied Greek yogurt bowl, she had gotten for breakfast.

"Is there anything else you may need, my sweet children?" The owner of the shop appeared next to their table with a gentle smile on her face.

"Maybe some food for you as well, young man?" She asked, looking at Toji who chuckled at her question.

"Young man? You're a flattering old lady, but no. I don't feel hungry"

"And you my dear, do you fancy anything else? I have a new brand of muffins today!" The elderly owner of the shop then asked Valory, who shook her head laughing.

"I wish, but I already am fully, thank you so much ma'am. If you safe me one, I'll try it tomorrow!" She replied and gained the Ladys approving head nod.

"So be it, tomorrow you'll try before work, make sure to bring your boyfriend as well"

"Oh? Oh no! He isn't my boyfriend! We are just friends!" Valory quickly called out and a slight blush of embarrassment turned her ears red.

"Sure that, now then, I have to say good morning to mister Jackson, don't forget to close your coat tightly, today it will be cold and stormy. You better make sure to bring her home safe young man, before the thunder starts"

The lady winked at Valory and directed her last sentence to Toji, before smiling and walking off to greet the people on the next table.

His eyes followed the elderly lady, before laying back down on Valory who had her cheeks bloated.

"Sometimes I feel like she adopted me without my consent" she sighted and leaned her head on her palm.

"Don't you visit this cafe everyday because she did?" Toji replied and she sighted deeply again.

"I do indeed" her eyes glid over to the elderly shop owner and a gentle smile ran over her face, as her eyes laid kindly on the owner talking to a few clients a table away.

"She reminds me of my own mother in some way, even if I never had the chance to meet her. It's just something about her... That tells me my mom was just the same"

She spoke and her face lit up, before she turned to Toji and grinned at him.

"Wait, I doubt you ever saw the pictures on the walls in the back! Oh you have to!" She called and jumped up.

"What pictures?" Toji questioned, but Valory didn't reply and only grinned at him exited, while grabbing his arm and pulling him after herself towards the back.

"Those pictures!" She said and pointed at a small blackboard with pictures of various different people. A few colored and a couple very old, still in black and white.

His attention was immediately pulled towards a woman in one of those black and white pictures. A woman with long black hair and a bright smile on her lips.

"Oh, I suppose that's the owners passed daughter? She does resemble you... A lot actually" he spoke surprised and bent down to get a closer look. They were almost identical.

"Sometimes I like to think that we have some deeper connection, maybe we are lost family or were one in our previous life's... Who knows... But it's undeniable that it's something magical. Especially that I was born a day later after she died"

Valory looked at the woman in the pictures.

"Really makes you almost believe in the whole being reborn thing"

Toji looked over to her and watched her stare at the pictures in fondness. His eyes were caught at the tiny mole on her left cheek and realized that the woman inside the picture had one in just the same place.

He chuckled as he noticed that.

"Maybe you are her in a different life, maybe she couldn't leave her mother behind and sent you, knowing you'd look after her" he commented and Valory turned her head to look back at him.

"You belief that?" She asked, with her eyes looking big at him, kindly and innocent as she was.

"I do" his eyes looked at the woman in the pictures and then back at Valory.

"Not even I can deny the existence of miracles"

She closed her eyes while smiling and nodded.

"I see... Thank you for that"

Miracles do exist, once in a while they happen, things unexplainable to the logic of the human mind.

It often seems as if it was an unavoidable and a magical coincidence, but then again, everything led to it, as if fate had it's hands in play.

Unavoidable and miraculous coincidences...

One such as Valory was, and another that looked as if Toji and her were always meant to meet...

"Wait... hold up"

Valory's smile suddenly dissapeared and her eyes widened surprised, as she pointed at one of the pictures on the right.

"He... He looks like you!"

"Like me? Let me see" Toji leaned to the right and took a closer look to the man on the picture Valory was pointing at.

When he realized who that man was, his mouth dropped and eyes ripped open shocked.

That man, was his grandfather.
