"Come right in!" Dennis said as he welcomed his guests inside. It was several days after he had broken the news to Seamus about Hazel's bakery, and he had invited the cartel over to discuss their plan.

"Splendid, splendid!" Seamus exclaimed.

"Seamus, let me introduce to you…my father, Felix Fickelgruber, Gerald Prodnose and his daughter Pauline, and Arthur Slugworth and his twins, Elijah and Esther." Dennis approached Esther and gave her a kiss on the lips.

"It's a pleasure to meet all of you," Seamus declared. "Now, I believe we all know why we are here?"

"Yes, we are very well aware that Willy Wonka has returned to the public and has reopened his business" Slugworth answered. His tone was saturated in vengeful disdain.

"That is merely part of it" replied Dennis. "You see, Seamus has his heart set on a woman named Hazel Blackwood."

"Belonging to the very family that SHOULD have accepted our offer" Mr. Fickelgruber added.

"Right, and so far Hazel has opened up shop in the very place her parents used to run."

"Shall we destroy her as well?" Prodnose asked. Such an answer was rewarded with a fist by Seamus.

"Certainly not," said Seamus, "I want her in good shape when we get married. Not a single scratch on her…or ELSE!"

"Well, what would you like for us to do?" Asked Elijah.

"We were just about to get to that. You see…I was thinking we open up a business of our own, maybe a pub or a restaurant, under the guise that you run it." Dennis pointed at Seamus.

Seamus was taken back by the suggestion. "Me? Run a business? I don't know the first thing about running anything like that!"

"Why do you think I brought in my father and his cohorts? They'll be there to guide you all the way. And believe me, with their help, this business will become so successful, Hazel wouldn't help but be impressed and ditch the weirdo!"

Seamus began to ponder. "I remember her saying one of the reasons she didn't care for me was how I was unable to find steady work. Heck, I could kill two birds with one stone with this! Work AND a wife!"

"What about Wonka, though?" Asked Pauline.

"Yes" Slugworth agreed, "you mentioned him yet said nothing about how this will affect him apart from not having Hazel."

"I was just about to get to that" interrupted Dennis. "Once the business becomes successful and Hazel is impressed, she would have no choice but to sell the bakery to us. Imagine that, father, you would finally have the Blackwoods bakery! I think that very ownership speaks for itself as to how this involves Wonka…"

Fickelgruber thought, then grinned wickedly. "Oh yes! I get it! We would finally get back our honor in the industry, and with that restored glory, we can possibly overshadow that Wonka scoundrel once and for all."

"Meanwhile, Elijah, Pauline, Esther, and I will get closer to Hazel. We'll apply for jobs at that bakery and ask her for advice on how to run a successful business." Dennis grinned.

"Spy work, you say?" Slugworth beamed. "How underhandedly clever!"

"I know. It's a foolproof plan." Dennis added.

Seamus was enjoying all this talk of securing his eventual victory, but paused. "This is all great and all, but…even when I do end up being a success, what if she says no?"

"We'll...leave that up to you, Seamus."

Seamus left his seat and paced. "If she still doesn't care for me even after I make a name for myself…" he grabbed a pillow from the nearby sofa and tore it to shreds as the three members of the Chocolate Cartel and their children watched in shock, "she's gonna regret ever setting eyes on that Wonka!"

Dennis just shook his head. "And we better ensure this plan succeeds, or else my flat will be nothing but ruins. Let's get to work!"

Opening day (or rather, RE-opening day) for the Blackwoods Bakery was finally here. As promised, Mr. Ellis was there to support Hazel. Charlie and his family were there as well, after all, they were close friends with the bakery's biggest investor.

Hazel stood behind a podium to give her opening speech. "Welcome, everybody! I, Hazel Blackwood, came from a family of bakers. My parents were bakers, and many of the recipes they used went into the baked goods you shall experience in my bakery. I just hope they're looking upon me up above and are happy that I was able to make something of myself after they left. Of course, I could not have done it alone. I was supported all the way by my friends at the local library, the Bucket family, and…" she nervously looked at Willy, "…uh, many others who made this all possible. So with that, I officially declare the Blackwoods Bakery open!"

Once inside, everyone saw how marvelously the place was decorated. The drapes were in blue and white. Willy noticed the walls were shades of brown, as if they were made of chocolate. 'Could this be a nod to me?' He thought. And one of the main centerpieces was a framed photo. Willy took a closer look and saw a family: mother, father, and a little girl. The child looked a lot like Hazel.

"I see you've finally met my family."

Willy jumped at the sound behind him. He turned around to find Hazel herself, who was with Charlie.

"Oh! So these are your parents in this photo" said Willy.

"Indeed." Hazel grinned. "This was found in storage in the basement. I was surprised it survived down there after so long."

"And is that you when you were younger?" Charlie asked. Hazel smiled.

Willy regained his posture. "If I do say so myself, I believe they would be mighty proud of you, Hazel."

"That means so much hearing that from you." Hazel squeezed him in a big hug.

"Hey, is that Mr. Willy Wonka?" a voice shouted.

"Why, yes, he's one of the reasons this bakery got off the ground!" Hazel exclaimed. Suddenly, Willy was hounded by a large crowd. Everyone in the bakery was crowding and cheering for him. He didn't like this one bit, and the intimacy of the small building just made it worse. To add onto that, earlier he 'taste tested' 2 large servings of the special homemade lemonade and it was rushing right through him.

"Eh, thank you all! Thank you. I need to go use the "little chocolatier's room". Be back soon!" He giggled nervously and bounded off to the bathroom as quick as he could caper.

While Willy was in the bathroom, a quartet of customers made their way to Hazel at the front counter.

"Can I help you?" She asked professionally as she possibly could.

"Yes" one of them replied. "The name's Dennis. My friends and I are planning on opening up a restaurant, and I was wondering if you'd like to give us advice on what we should do to run it!"

"Oh certainly! I learned all I know from the best myself."

'Sure you did' thought Dennis, believing she learned from Willy Wonka. Using his business tactics against him would win him and the other Cartel Descendants points from their fathers for sure. She proceeded to tell them not only what she learned from Willy, but also her parents from the days they ran their bakery. Dennis took in as much as he could, writing everything down. He imagined it now; Seamus with her as his wife, finally relieving Dennis from him laying waste to his quarters whenever things did not go his way, and his own family, the Fickelgruber name, restored to greatness. He didn't care what should happen to Willy Wonka, of course.

"I hope that serves as a start" concluded Hazel.

"It sure did" Dennis replied, "thank you." He then saw the other three Cartel Descendants motioning for him. "Oh yes, in the meantime before we open our own restaurant, mind if we apply for any part-time positions here? Just so we can get a bit of 'practice experience', so to speak."

Hazel gladly handed them some job applications. The Cartel Descendants all smiled at each other, knowing this would eventually lead to her marriage and their fathers' reemergence in the chocolate world.

Willy kept thinking to himself as he was walking out of the bathroom. "Honestly. Why did Hazel have to do that? I wouldn't mind if it were a much wider, more open space, but it was like being in someone's living room in there. I could've been trampled on! Once I come out, I'll tell her I didn't like that. I doubt she'd be hurt."

He found her greeting some customers. "Willy!" She exclaimed upon seeing him.

"Hazel, I've something to tell you…away from others, that is…" Willy swiftly ushered her to one of the back rooms in hopes that nobody else could barge in. Charlie, who was looking at a batch of baguettes, turned to see the two together again. He quietly followed them, hoping this was to be the moment he confessed. Of course, despite Charlie's quietness, Willy noticed him behind them. And he knew what he was hoping to see and hear. But he said nothing, giving off the impression that he was still unaware. So much pressure was building inside him. Should he tell him he didn't like being put on the spot, or should he tell her his feelings? Or should he tell her both?

"Willy, what is it?" She asked.

"Hazel, I-" he looked to see if Charlie was still there behind them, then back to her.

"Willy" she interrupted, "before you say anything, I just want to let you know that I am forever grateful for all your support you gave me."

Willy smiled in response. He tried to speak, but no words came out. All he could do was giggle nervously. Hazel couldn't help but giggle herself at that silly girlish giggle of his. She pulled him into a big hug, which he returned. Charlie, who had finally caught up with them, was left speechless.

"In fact," Hazel said after a while. "I want to take this moment as an opportunity for me to tell you something. I kind of…have feelings for you."

Everyone's eyes widened. For Willy, this revelation was something he was both nervous of and hoping to hear. That way he could easily tell her the same.

"I always had great respect for you in my younger years since you took me in, and now, well, now that I'm all grown up, I feel like you have become more than just a mentor and even more than a friend. I really do love you as more than a friend."

Willy had zero idea how to handle this. He turned to Charlie, who nodded as if to tell him to confess himself, and replied.

"Hazel Blackwood, as world famous chocolatier, I never had the time for a relationship with another person. And largely it was because anybody I met who wanted to start one with me was never on my own level. You, however, have always been there. You see…I love you too."

Hazel almost collapsed when she heard that phrase. Willy caught her just in time. Neither one of them could believe that they finally revealed their love for each other, nor the fact that they loved each other in return. She pulled him into a passionate kiss that made time go slowly. When they parted, Hazel then saw Charlie, whom she hadn't seen this whole time until now. "Oh!" she exclaimed.

"Congratulations" he said.

"Congrats on what?" Asked Willy. "On her bakery, or what we told each other?"

"Both!"

"I suppose this is quite the day for all of us, isn't it?" Hazel gleamed. "Come on, let's all go back together. Considering your celebrity status, though, let's keep this on the down low."

"Good thinking."

"Don't worry, you two" Charlie assured them, "I won't tell a soul. Not even my family."

"You can tell your parents" Willy told the boy, "after all, they helped me out too."

That night, they decided to all celebrate at the Bucket house. Willy thanked Mr. & Mrs. Bucket for their advice, and they all had a celebratory dinner with a Wonka chocolate cake for dessert. Hazel told the Buckets about how worried she was about opening her bakery, how everyone in the library supported her, and the moment Willy and her confessed their love.

"You've come so far, Hazel. I'm so proud of you." said Grandpa Joe.

"We're very happy for the both of you as well!" beamed Grandma Josephine.

"We prefer to keep this love between the bunch of us is all, Willy's celebrity status would make things more difficult should word get out" she explained.

"We understand completely" said Mrs. Bucket.

"Smart thing to do, if you ask me." grumbled Grandpa George.

"I love birds!" exclaimed Grandma Georgina.

"I could imagine all the major newspapers hounding you right now if that were the case" sighed Mr. Bucket. "But congratulations nonetheless!"

After the cake was finished, Willy, Charlie, and Hazel had a stroll through the Chocolate Room together. "Charlie, my dear boy," Willy declared. "Thank you. I don't think I ever would have had the courage to confess to her if it wasn't for you."

"And I don't think I ever would have reconnected with him," Hazel added.

Both of them gave him a hug, which he gladly returned.
