A/N: EXTREMELY short chapter, but there are a few things to wrap up before this season ends. This is the finale of this season! There will be a next season – have no fear. :) xoxo JTD
Anya picked up the pen on Adam's desk in his home office and began to write him a note.
Dear Adam.
She began.
I don't know where to start. But I know you've been lying to me. I appreciate the months you have opened your home to me. But the time has come that I leave Beastman Manor. While this isn't how I thought we would ever say goodbye, I must tell you one thing. Take care of you, Adam. No one else. But you.
She signed it with her famous signature and left it on his desk.
"We've gathered everything, Ms. Beastman," one of Cassim's men, Yazan, said from the office door.
"It's Ms. Royal, Yazan. Anya Royal," she replied heading to meet him at the office door.
"My apologies."
She shook her head and smiled.
"No worries. Now, let's get out of this dark and gloomy place!" she said as she led both of them out the door and down the hall. Cassim's men were busy carrying her things out the front door. This morning before he had set sail, Will asked for Aladdin and Cassim's help in moving Anya from Beastman Manor to her new home at Royal Hall. Adam had sequestered himself to his office since the scandal with Frollo broke, so it was the perfect time to sneak out.
"We will certainly miss you, Miss Anya," the butler, Lumiere said as she reached the front door with Yazan.
Anya smiled at the seasoned butler.
"Thank you, Lumiere. Thank the rest for me. But I have to go now."
He nodded as if he understood every single reason why she would possibly need to leave Beastman Manor.
She closed the door to the cavernous mansion and instantly a weight was lifted off her shoulders. This was never her home. And it was never supposed to be. For the first time in her life, the unknown didn't scare Anya. She was ready for it.
Nearby, Anya's close friend Flynn was also thinking about his future, much to his chagrin.
"You know, I don't have to come by tonight, Jas. If dinner goes long at your dad's, it's okay," he said as he was putting his t-shirt back on after a morning and afternoon of fun in Jasmine's bedroom.
"No. I want to see you later. I have to admit, I had forgotten how nice it was sleeping next to you," she said wrapping her arms around his neck wearing nothing but her silky sea foam robe.
Flynn couldn't believe how things had turned out for him. Jasmine was in his arms again.
"I mean, I won't say no."
She smiled against his lips.
"Good. I want more of this."
"Me too."
"Then I'll see you tonight. I have to get ready now."
He kissed her cheek and headed toward the door.
"I'll let myself out. You go get ready. Although, if you ask me, you look gorgeous enough already."
She blushed and waved him off as he left the room and her house.
At the Waterhole Shops, Meg was closing up shop for the day with the help of Hercules. Both of them were silent as she shut down her computer and locked up her equipment. The emotional wreckage of the afternoon had taken its toll on both of them.
"You ready?" he asked, coming up behind her as she packed her bag at her desk.
Softly he kissed her neck. His strong arms around her frame squeezing ever so lightly. She turned around in his arms and held him close.
"More than ready," she said, fighting back tears.
He leaned back to look at her.
"Hey, look at me," he requested.
Her violet eyes full of emotion glared back at him.
"I love you, Meg."
"I love you, too, Hercules."
"You've seen enough of this place for the day. I'm taking you home."
He took her hand in his and placed in to his lips before leading her to the door.
"To our home?"
He smiled and winked.
"Yes, Meg. To our home."
Hand in hand they closed the Mount Olympus Photo Studio and took a romantic stroll to the town home that now belonged to both of them.
It was nearing sunset and Pridelands was already busy for being early in the day. Dimitri ordered shots for the whole bar for selling the floors of DeVille Fashions. Aladdin was taking full advantage. He'd had one for himself and four others from patrons who weren't interested in Fireball.
"Dude, don't you think you should take it easy? It's not even dark out yet!" Dimitri asked. "At this rate you aren't going to remember your own name!"
"Good," Aladdin said. "That's what I want."
Dimitri raised an eyebrow.
In all his years of being friends with Aladdin he had never known him to drink this heavily and not care.
"Can I ask - "
"No. You can't. And don't bother trying. Just make sure I have a drink in my hand. And that you call me a cab later."
Dimitri nodded.
He didn't need to hear anymore.
Flynn had arrived home. He figured Meg was busy with Hercules since he hadn't heard from her all day, so he just decided to make himself some chicken and have a chill night at home. He was just finishing the seasoning when he heard a knock at the door. He expected Meg had forgotten her keys or something. When he opened the door he was not expecting a tearful Esmeralda, holding a suitcase.
"Es, what's up? Are you okay?"
He said, taking her suitcase and welcoming her inside.
She shook her head.
"No, Flynn. No I'm not okay."
He gave her a hug and led her to the couch.
"Okay, tell me what happened."
She paused and stared off into space for what seemed like forever to Flynn.
"Look, I can't get into it right now. But I need a place to stay."
"Well you can stay in Meg's room. She's been staying at Hercules' lately anyway. Look, I'm sure whatever it is, you and Clopin will figure it out."
"It's not Clopin."
Flynn was taken aback, considering Esmeralda and Angelica had just made up.
"Oh. Well, I'm sure by tomorrow, you two will have cooled down and everything will be alright."
"Flynn, I'm pregnant."
Adam returned home from his sanctuary of an office.
The cavernous darkness welcomed him. It matched his mood. Just today he had lost four clients from the Frollo Scandal. He expected more to come.
"Master!"
He heard Cogsworth, the house manager, running from the kitchen.
"Yes, Cogsworth? What is it? Has my sister requested dinner to be started yet?"
Cogsworth frowned.
"Sir, she left this in your study," the stoutly man said handing him a piece of paper.
Adam read it and rage flooded his face.
"Do you know where she went?"
Cogsworth shook his head.
"Lumiere said she had a bunch of Cassim Abu's men with her. That's all I know."
Adam crumpled up the piece of paper and angrily threw it across the room.
"Anything else happen while I was away today?"
Cogsworth swallowed, nervous to show his boss what was left on steps of the manor just after Anya left. Cogsworth gestured with his hands the box in the foyer that Adam had clearly missed when he got home.
"What's this?"
"It seems to be a box of your personal items, Master."
Adam picked up the box and carried it to the coffee table. On top was one of his old nightshirts. He didn't think anything of it until he dug deeper into the box. A pair of cuff links. A framed picture of Adam. A gold watch. And every piece of correspondence that Adam had ever shared with Charles Charming.
His rage grew.
He took the box and threw it across the room.
A terrified Cogsworth was left shocked and speechless.
"I swear Cogsworth. I swear. I will ruin every one of these ingrates who have taken everything from me!"
Cogsworth shuttered at what Adam could possible mean.
Far from Fantasia's shores, The Black Pearl was making great time and record speed on their next voyage. Jack sailed into the sunset with a confident smile on his face.
"We're early. We should be getting to Sultan's pick up spot by morning," Will said, coming up from below.
"Good. The quicker we get the rugs. The quicker we can get back to Fantasia."
Will grinned.
"Could it be that Captain Jack Sparrow is eager to return to solid ground?"
Jack rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out at his friend.
But deep down. Jack was elated to be returning to the arms of his beloved Esmeralda.
Will was equally as eager to return to Fantasia. He was eager to continue what he had started with Anya the night before.
