F3: Welcome to chapter 26 of my RWBY story. Last time we left off the gang have a plan to defend the academy while their enemies are preparing to attack. Volume 5-26: Battle for Haven (Part 1)
At Ever Night castle Salem was watching the night sky as she waited on her pawns to bring her news that the academy had fallen but as she looked at the night sky she looked toward one particular thing.
The broken moon as it's pieces were floating near it as she remeninced of how the moon used to be whole, round and perfect. But like all things nothing was ever perfect in this cruel world and that is why when she has the four relics from each of the academies her plan will fall right into place.
However she knew that she herself was immortal but that doesn't mean that she can't be hurt. She brushed over her right arm where on it is an inch scar almost like it was pierced by something wielded by someone that was the first ever to injure her. She looked at the scar with disgust on her face almost like she knew who caused this injury to her in the first place.
"Summer Rose... you certainly are a worthy adversary. Its a pity that you're losing a war that you cannot possibly win. You should've surrendered to me a long time ago." She said to herself.
Just then the jellyfish like grimm floated next to her like it was delivering a message.
"Ah. So you've returned. What new's do you bring?" She asked her grimm.
The grimm created a mist as an illusion of Coco appeared before her.
"My dear Coco. What do I owe this pleasure?" Salem questioned.
"My queen we have begun preparations to attack Haven academy. My estimate is that we'll arrive their by tomorrow evening." Coco replied as she bent to a knee bowing to her queen.
"Well done. But I feel like their is something you're avoiding to tell me." Salem said.
Coco paused a moment before she spoke "A thousand apologies my queen but the other night it appeared we had a spy in our mist. Hazel was the one that found the spy." Coco said not looking at her.
"And this spy... was it dealt with." Salem said expecting an answer. However Coco only paused not sure how to answer it which was an answer Salem wasn't expecting.
"You...let the spy escape!" Salem roared her entire castle shaking from her might.
"A thousand pardons my queen. However our mission has not changed. We will continue to press on until the enemy has been eliminated and the relic brought before you." Coco said quickly.
Salem while she was furious at this she folded her hands as she spoke.
"Very well. I will overlook this transgression this once but any more and I will return you to where you came from. Buried six feet under. Do I make myself clear?" Salem said firmly.
"Yes my queen. Your mission is my mission." Coco said as the mist vanished along with Coco as well.
Salem turned back toward watching the moon as she awaited for the downfall of Haven academy.
=SPIR=
It was night time at the camp as everyone was asleep as they all were resting for the pending battle ahead. However one person had tossed and turned in her sleep trying to ignore everything that was told. Blake opened her eyes as her sleep was interrupted by the events of earlier this evening. While it was night Blake could tell it was late morning as she got up from her sleeping bag and walked outside to get some fresh air.
Once she was out of the tent as she stretched her limbs she decided a nice walk would be nice for once.
"And just what are you doing out of bed young lady?" Summers voice asked behind her.
Blake turned to see the huntress standing their with this look like she was going to get scorned by her.
"Just... getting some air." Blake said.
"Uh huh? Just what are you really doing out of bed?" Summer asked again not really convinced.
"I... need to get to Haven." Blake replied.
"And we will. In the morning we'll arrive their and then we can handle the White Fang from their." Summer stated.
"I don't mean in the morning." Blake said.
"Going out be yourself is suicide. I know you're skilled but you are still only one person. You're more than likely to get yourself killed if you go." Summer replied.
"That's why she isn't going alone." Killa came in from behind Blake riding one of her sybers along with Iona as she was holding some supplies for the three of them.
"We can get their faster." Killa added.
"Then what will you do when you get their just wait for them." Summer stated.
"Yeah. Look I know this is reckless to you but we know the White Fang will be ahead of us then we can block them from getting to the academy. Then once that happens you all can come in from behind and flank them. Hopefully we can at least convince some of them to surrender peacefully without any more need for bloodshed." Blake replied.
Summer looked at the three of them and she recalled something that she remembered back in her early days at the academy about her other teammates and once they had their mind set on something they weren't going to budge.
"Alright... just make sure you three watch each others back. Stay safe and make sure that once you've found a good area to get some sleep. Don't want you three to tire yourselfs out." Summer stated.
"We will. See you at Haven." Blake said as the three of them headed out from the campsite and into the forest ahead of them.
"Stay safe." Summer whispered as she headed back to her tent to get some sleep.
=RWBY=
Meanwhile with the three of them Killa was ahead of them riding her Syber as they acted as lookout for the time being while Blake and Iona were walking behind her.
"So... you really think we'll get their in time." Iona said.
"If we keep heading in this direction we should arrive at the border in a least two hours. Then we'll campout their for the night and then once daylight hits we'll head into town." Blake said as the three of them continued to march onward.
"Why don't we just head straight to academy? I'm sure our friends are their waiting for us. I'm sure that Ruby is their to by now." Iona replied.
"If they are then we need to give them as much time to prepare for the fight." Blake added.
"We couldn't stop them from destroying Beacon and Vale. Were not going to let them destroy another academy." Blake said.
"And if Ilia is among those in the Fang?" Iona asked.
"I have to at least try and to get through to her that what she's doing will only bring more harm to the faunus. I have to make her see reason. To show her that she doesn't need to solve everything with blood and violence." Blake said steeling her resolve.
"And... if she doesn't?" Iona asked again.
Blake paused her train of thought as she wondered that if the Ilia she knew was really gone and that she couldn't be saved. Would she be forced to defend herself and strike down her friend possibly killing her? For that she doesn't know for sure.
"I hope that it doesn't come to that." Blake said as they marched onward to Haven. Hopefully they can get and cut off the White Fang. Two hours later as it was still dark out they had arrived at small clearing that was big enough for the three of them and the Syber grimm that Killa was riding as they prepared to camp their for the night.
After setting up camp they all went to sleep with the grimm wrapping itself around Killa to keep her warm while the others slept in sleeping bags.
However during the night Blake started to toss and turn in her sleep like she was having a nightmare and it was bothering her with sweat coming down her forehead.
[Dream]
In this dream Blake was awake as she slashing her way through waves of grimm trying to get to her friends but they were nowhere to be seen. Blake slashed through another grimm killing it but afterwards she heard a high pitched scream that sounded close by but it also sounded like a young girls voice making her body turn could in which she knew who it was.
"Ruby!" Blake shouted as she ran toward the sound hoping that she wasn't too late. Once she reached the sound of the scream she paused and saw in front of her the worst possible thing in front of her. It was her leader Ruby with a sword ran through her seeing the tip of the sword leaking blood. The blade was then pulled out from her body as she fell to the ground on her knees before falling forward her body now without life in her body.
She looked up to see the culprit but was shocked to see that it was herself but a twisted evil version of herself. Her weapons were blood red, her outfit was also deep red and black and what was worse this other version of her wore the mask of the White Fang to conceal her face.
The evil version of herself looked at her with a smirk on her face.
"Don't you see what you've done? You'll bring nothing but pain and destruction upon you and you're friends. This is the result of that! All that people that you care about will die and it's going to be your entire fault that you couldn't do anything to stop it." Evil Blake said pointing her weapon at Blake.
Blake looked around where Ruby had fallen and saw Yang's body off to the right. Her lilac colored eyes void of life and covered in blood with many deep cuts throughout her body all that were killing blows. Then off to her left was Weiss, her hair ruined by blood as she had a pike ran through her stomach also dead.
"No…NO!" Blake shouted in horror that her teammates were killed.
"You've brought this upon yourself and the world. You are the reason that they're dead. Accept it and realize that we will never become equal to the humans. It is time that they are placed in the dirt and learn to both respect and fear us." Evil Blake said.
"Then we are doomed to die! If this continues the faunus will be wiped out of existence!" Blake shouted.
"If it means that we will finally get the respect we deserve. Then so be it!" Evil Blake shouted as she charged at Blake looking to kill her as she slashed at her with her weapon going in for the kill.
[Dream End]
Blake shot up from her bed in fright trying to calm her breathing. Once her breathing had calmed she looked to Iona and Killa as they were sleeping peacefully and hopefully with what tomorrow will bring they can finally stop the White Fang once and for all.

Morning finally arrived at Haven as the group were now up and about doing their normal thing but they all noticed that Yang was currently missing from their group.
"So it looks like it worked. Theo has Yang. So now what do we do?" May asked.
"Well he want's us in a panic looking for her so that's what we'll do. Start searching the areas around the academy for Yang but while you're doing that make sure to check the towers and places that could be used for ambushes we don't want them getting the upper hand on us when the time comes." Raven replied as they all split up into teams to look for Yang all the while Raven looked at to where Theo's office was wish she knew what he was doing right now.
Meanwhile inside the academy someone became a little impatient as Synin walked inside a room where Yang had been chained up as her wrists were chained just above her head.
"Well well. If it isn't the one that beat me. Not much you can do now can you not with those chains holding you back." Synin said as she then punched Yang right on her cheek.
Synin let out a satisfying sigh like she was letting out some pent up agression.
"Oh that felt way too good. Wonder where else I can hit you?" Synin said as she readied to punch Yang again.
"Enough Synin." Coco said behind her walking in the room.
"We don't want to break her to badly now do we." She stated.
"Oh c'mon Coco. This bitch has caused me much humiliation after beating me so I think what I'm doing is justicifed." Synin replied as she readied to punch her again.
"I know how much anger you have for this woman but control it until we get our hands on the relic then you can do whatever you please. Now come. Lionheart wants to have a word with us before tonight." Coco stated.
"Fine." Synin said before turning back to Yang.
"Don't think this is over between you and I. I'll have your head on a spit outside my camp once I'm done with you." Synin threatened as she and Coco left Yang.
After the door closed Yang smirk as her lilac eyes changed to pink and brown meaning their plan was working to perfection.
Outside the academy everyone began their search for Yang but they were really checking on the perimeter of the Haven academy making sure everything was still safe and intact as nothing seemed to be out of place at the moment.
Ruby and Star checked over the first tower making sure that it wasn't tampered with by anyone. They deemed it that it was safe and secured.
Ruby got on her earpiece and spoke into it "Tower one is clear. Nothing to report." Ruby stated.
"Same goes for Tower two. We're all good here." Nora said over her earpiece.
"Nothing happening in town so we're good their too." Cardin stated.
"Upper areas are clear too." May added.
"Good work everyone. Any luck finding 'Yang'." Raven stated.
"Nothing here. Wherever he took her then he took her somewhere that we can't find her." Ruby replied.
"So that means he took her to a place on that he knows. Probably somewhere that we can't locate her scroll. Alright everyone for now come on back. We've got some preparations to do." Ozpin replied as they all agreed to return to the main lounge of the academy.
"Okay so searching for Yang was a bust so the only thing we can do is be ready for the potiental attack on the academy. This evening is more than likely when they will strike." Ozpin replied.
"Does everyone remember where they are suppose to be?" Raven asked as they all nodded.
"Good but just incase I've filled in Tai to have Emerald and Mercury waiting on standby. More than likely we'll need them for the battle coming at us." Raven said.
"Um... auntie. Something is rather bugging me though." Ruby said nervously.
"Yes. What is it?" Raven asked.
"Are we going to have to... kill them?" Ruby questioned which surprised everyone but Raven remained stoic as she took a breath and walked over to Ruby and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Ruby... I can see your reason that you don't want anyone to die even if they are our enemies. They have a life as well and they need to be persevered. But not everyone will think that way. They will do whatever it takes to make sure that you or anyone else is dead below their feet. I know first hand that killing someone isn't easy and it doesn't get any easier but if it comes down to your life and dying what would you do?" Raven asked.
Ruby wasn't sure how to answer that question but she knew that her aunt was right.
"Is that why you have me and May away from the fight?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah... if you have to I want you two to injure them. Make sure they can't fight anymore." Raven added.
Ruby only nodded at this "Okay... I'll try." She said.
"Good. Everyone else take this time to rough out any edges in your training. This evening... the fighting will start." Raven said as she and Oscar walked away as they prepared for tonight.
However Weiss was still concerned for Ruby as the young girl severly hurt anyone in her entire life which only made her wonder if this would change anything in her leader.
"Go ahead." Adam said next to her as she turned to face him.
"Spend some time with her. Before tonight at least she needs to know that you'll have her back if anything happens." Adam replied.
Weiss gave a slight nod as she walked over to Ruby.
"Hey Ruby." Weiss said getting her attention.
"Weiss? Something you need." Ruby asked but she shook her head.
"Actually I was just wanting to check up on you. See how are feeling in this... predicament." Weiss added.
Ruby was silent a moment her silver eyes glancing away from her teammate with her head down.
"I just... I don't understand why? First Beacon and now Haven... I know it has to do something about the relics but... to cause all of this pain and suffering, killing people just for... some relic." Ruby said not sure of what to think of the situation.
Weiss placed a hand on her shoulder to get her to look at her.
"I know what you mean. These people that want this relic believe it's really important. What I'm wondering is if Ozpin is hiding anything else from us." Weiss said.
"You think he would hide something?" Ruby asked.
"I know so. He's been rather dodgey lately." Weiss concluded.
"Probably after this is all over we'll confront him about it." She said.
Ruby nodded as Weiss embraced Ruby which did make her feel better even a little bit.
"Thanks for that Weiss. I needed that." Ruby thanked.
"That's what friends are for." Weiss added Ruby headed off her sharpshooting and Weiss with her sword.
Adam looked on at the two as the went off to practice as he held a small smile on his face.
"We're going to need each other in these rough times. Now more than ever." He said to himself before heading off to practice by himself watching the two separate.

Hours later at the enemy camp the White Fang were preparing their final march into the main capital of Mistral with only one goal that was on all of their minds and that was the complete destruction of Haven as they were all gathered for a feast for their upcoming victory over their human oppressers. Ilia who stood atop of them looked at her troops as she was very much impressed. This was the one thing that she had been working hard for ever since she took command and nothing was going to stop her now.
"Quite a sight isn't." Tyrian said next to her his newly upgraded tail wrapping around his waist.
"You surely know how to make some so grand such as this. Almost gives me the tickles just thinking about it." He said cackling madly.
"Makesss me almossst jealousss." Euryale hissed to the left of Ilia.
"When Haven falls the humans will finally realize that we... the faunus are the superior race and they will show us respect or they will die." Ilia replied a glare of happiness on her face.
"Any final wordsss for your troopsss." The snake faunus hissed.
Ilia rose up and walked toward the edge looking over her men as they looked upon her.
"My friends! Today we feast our coming victory! Come tonight Haven will reach it's darkest hour as we will topple the fortress of oppression and destroy it! For too long we've been at the mercy of the human as they do what they do to us! They use us, torture us, treat us like slaves, but tonight we will unleash all of our anger, all of our hate, all of our rage onto one target. Haven Academy! Tonight will mark our finest hour in faunus history where this time we will reign as the superior species. The faunus will no longer have to bow down to the likes of humans. This time it will be the humans who will bow to us!" Ilia began as the White Fang cheered for her.
"Feast my brothers and sisters! For tonight marks a new beginning! A new era for faunus everywhere!" Ilia shouted as they continued to cheer for her.
"Long live the Fang!" Ilia shouted.
"Long live the Fang!" The crowd chanted back.
Tyrian and Euryale looked on as they were sure that there queen would be most pleased that she will soon have what is in the Haven Academy vault as she will be one step closer towards her goal.
