11:30 PM
In the same mysterious location where the infamous meeting between mysterious personnel took place lies a trainyard that holds a luxurious express train in a shed as railroads are seen throughout the area, but a lonely railroad track of the distance leads off to Raccoon Forest with the opposite direction leading to a dark tunnel that slightly shine was by deep yellow halogen lights as two individuals were walking through the tunnel.
One of the Individuals wore an open lab coat, with a white shirt underneath and a red tie around his neck as he wore blue slacks a brown belt, and brown dress shoes. The individual is in his mid-30s and looked mildly annoyed as he walked alongside a bulky individual wearing a blue leather navy coat with red armlets, black boots, had white hair with a piece of it comb and covering part of a small part of the left side of his face, but just enough for a person to see he has a single blue eye on his right area with his left arm being closed and had a scar on it. The navy coat man in question is in his early 40s as he and the white lab coat individual discuss a pressing matter related to the Arklay Mountains murders and the recent defeat of one of the more powerful SCP Foundation Mobile Task Force Units, Epsilon-11.
"Damn, I hate these meetings, Colonel, I don't need these silly discussions. I have different priorities to attend to than deal with a small trivial matter such as the SCP Foundation… Do you understand this?"
The White lab coat man spoke to the navy coat man in an annoyed tone, clearly wanting to move on and continue his research.
"… Doctor, don't be hasty. We cannot simply let an outside organization like the SCP Foundation get in our way. Besides, we don't have to worry about them interfering."
The Colonel man spoke with a Russian accent and in a serious and stern tone, as he continued walking down the railway with what he said piquing the doctors' interest and curiosity.
The white doctor stopped and looked at the Russian Colonel.
"How interesting, you seem to know some information I don't. I didn't expect the Foundation to stand in our way, may I ask how the Foundation won't stand in our way anymore?"
"Their Epsilon-11 task force Nine-Tailed Fox has been annihilated, thanks to the works of Mr. X."
Sergei replied in a cold, calculated tone, giving more detail to the doctor's query.
"I will say, I am disappointed that the NTF unit stood little chance against one of our Bio Organic Weapons, I was hoping an elite task force would give us a significant amount of combat data…"
"Hmm… Well, at least we still got a decent number of human test subjects."
The doctor replied, now seeming to take some more interest in the conversation, as he looked at his colleague with a hint of curiosity on his face, but the Russian Colonel seemed unamused by the statement.
"Negative comrade… human subjects are no more…The boss decided for all of us to step up our experimentation with the Bio Organic Weapons, I proposed to him to switch to using certain SCPs to not only help acquire combat data… but to also improve our Bio Organic Weapons intelligence and genetics by conducting painful experimentation to the sentient SCPs the Foundation is too afraid to conduct…"
"How… intriguing. And what SCPs would these be, Colonel?"
The doctor sounded interested in the idea, clearly showing his curiosity at the prospect of experimenting with SCPs for research and combat data purposes.
The Russian Colonel smirked but kept his serious and stern face.
"I believe you know what SCP in question we are going to use as you have worked with them before?"
The Doctor had to think for a moment about what SCPs the Russian Colonel was referring to, but he soon revealed that he was talking about more subliminal SCPs which quickly shocked him.
"What! You want to use those SCPS! They are not capable of handling our Bio Organic Weapon! Why can't we use SCP-682, SCP-076-2, SCP-953, SCP-106, or even the more Keter class SCPs that can give us proper data!"
"Don't misunderstand me, Doctor, I never said these SCPs would be used directly on our Bioweapons. That task is for the new combat participants that we are going to gather. The SCPs in question are to be used for more… scientific and medical research."
The Russian Colonel explained coldly and sternly to the doctor, as he glanced at the doctor, his eyes piercing through and giving him a feeling of being watched as the Colonel spoke again.
"The SCPs you spoke of… Don't worry, they will be used in the future once we finalize our Bio Organic Weapons…"
"A very interesting idea, Colonel. Using the SCPs for scientific purposes has much merit. However, I'm puzzled by one question… If the SCPs won't be used as 'test subjects' or directly used with our Bio Organic Weapons, then just what are we going to do with them, where are we going to store them?"
The doctor was confused by the Colonel's words. He was intrigued by the idea, but something wasn't adding up.
"We will move the SCP test subjects to our main laboratory."
The Colonel spoke bluntly which shocked the doctor as the Colonel was talking about the main laboratory that had an incident months ago in May… The place was considered dangerous, even for personnel so why are the subjects being moved there instead of the mundane facility they are in instead now?
"The main laboratory… You can't be serious, Colonel."
The Doctor was in disbelief, his eyes widened in confusion at the Colonel's statement.
"Surely you know of the incident there, the facility is considered highly dangerous and unsafe for personnel let alone a group of SCPs. Why would you move them there of all places instead of here!"
"Because comrade! This building is being reopened as a training facility, the main laboratory will be used to further test the capabilities of the SCP and our test subjects soon before we officially commence our plan."
The Colonel replied bluntly and sternly, seeming a little irritated by the doctor's line of questioning.
The Russian Colonel seemed to know what he was doing, after all, being a high-ranking executive.
"I don't need to give you any further explanations, just know that is where they are going. Is that understood?"
"... I understand, Colonel."
The Doctor replied in a passive, calm manner, but he still had one final question.
"Though I have one final clarification, Colonel. I still haven't decided on who the test subjects will be, do you have any idea who those individuals might be?"
The Russian Colonel paused as he gave The Doctor a look, the stare, and posture were enough for The Doctor to know that the Russian Colonel was of higher authority to him.
"The test subjects… hahaha. That task is up left for your partner who proposed he had a couple of test subjects that could perfectly qualify as our combatant data subjects…"
The Doctor paused for a moment, trying to think of what the colonel said, until he revealed that he was talking about a certain individual that The Doctor had worked alongside for years.
"I see… But if you're talking about him then that means our test subjects are…"
The Doctor quickly realized something of concern and quickly spoke out.
"Wait! But aren't they only amate—"
The Russian Colonel held his hand out to The Doctor interrupting him and spoke out as if he knew of his concerns.
"Doctor, I am skeptical about this too, but we are currently running out of options as the Arklay Mountains murders will potentially put us in the spotlight, but it will also prompt our potential test subjects…"
The pair continued to walk through the facility tunnel they were in before they reached a door that took them to the main lobby area of the facility as the Russian Colonel spoke to the doctor again.
"Once we finally gather the attention of our new test subjects… The boss will give us new instructions to aid us in our organization's plan… Until then have your comrades in the SCP Foundation continued to observe and pick suitable SCPs to be used for experimentation with our Bio Organic Weapons. We have a couple already in use such as SCP-1100, but the boss wishes to further see if we could potentially enhance the Bio Organic Weapon capabilities."
The Doctor nodded as they continued walking through the main lobby. The Doctor felt confident that the direction would help and benefit the end goals of the organization, but it also worried him as he ultimately wanted to work on his projects alongside his partners, one of them being the individual finding subtle host for the test subjects, and the others being SCP Foundation Personnel. Regardless this was the start of a plan… a grand plan with a mastermind working behind the shadows of all this.

"HEY WATCH WHERE YOU PASS THE BALL! YOU ALMOST HIT THE TV!"
A yell came from a basketball player as a ball almost hit a box TV playing a commercial from the Umbrella Corporation the way up in the corner of a gymnasium in the Raccoon Police Department/RPD, with the gym being located near the back of the East Wing. The gym wasn't large, but it had enough for a single basketball hoop and a dedicated small locker room for the side of the gym for females and Males. A basketball game was going on between 6 individuals, 4 being male and 2 being female with one of the more notable individuals in the mix being a young adult female with short black hair while wearing a red headband underneath, brown eyes, A green short shorts gym outfit with green shorts, green sneakers, and had long white socks that even had a green outline up top. This young adult female is Rebecca Chambers… and she wasn't just a girl playing basketball, she is part of S.T.A.R.S and is its newest member.
Rebecca was just playing basketball with some of her other RPD colleagues, but when one of them attempted to pass the ball to her, it almost hit the box TV up top with some of the colleagues arguing with each other about it while Rebecca and the only other female colleague who was much older than Rebecca turned their attention to the commercial.
"Ugh, that commercial's so cheesy. I don't know how anyone pays attention to that nonsense."
Rebecca said with a hint of annoyance as Rebecca had seen the commercial at least a hundred times
"Eh, people like it, and that's all that matters."
The older woman responded with a casual shrug, not seeing the commercials as a big deal as Rebecca did.
"Whatever," Rebecca replied as she rolled her eyes at the woman. She didn't seem to mind her much, but there was a hint of frustration towards her as Rebecca wasn't feeling too friendly with her that day, possibly because a couple of days ago, she was sick and even had an odd cough and had to sit home a couple of days which force her to even miss the 4th of July event that the S.T.A.R.S members set up which also bummed Rebecca out as it was a chance for her to expose herself in public. Rebecca Chambers continued playing basketball with her colleagues for 10 more minutes and landed impressive shots until she was able to beat her colleagues by a 17-30 point difference.
"That was a nice game." The older female colleague said Rebecca let out a small sigh of relief as she felt her breath come out of her as sweat poured down her forehead and onto her arm.
"Yeah, I could say the same," Rebecca responded with her chest rising up and down before she took off her headband to wipe the sweat from her forehead before taking a breath.
"Ya, great job Chambers! Never knew a youngin like you could play!"
A Male colleague said as he was panting.
"Thanks."
Rebecca responded and smiled at the colleague as she then took a small break to grab her water bottle from a small bench near the back. Rebecca was tired from an hour session of basketball, but she felt it was something she could do before she had to return to the S.T.A.R.S office on the 2nd floor west wing of RPD, she was kinda nervous since she hadn't seen any of Alpha team and even some of her own squad Bravo team yet since she was still relatively new as she join S.T.A.R.S a couple of weeks ago. As Rebecca sat down and took a sip of water the female colleague approached Rebecca with a curious look on her face.
"Say uh, mind if I ask you a question?" The older female colleague said to Rebecca.
Rebecca gave a small nod of her head in response and was slightly curious about the question due to the tone of the colleague's voice.
"Yeah, go ahead," Rebecca said.
The female colleague slightly leaned back on one of her knees before she said the next part.
"Now I'm not trying to be rude or anything. But I heard from Officer Marvin Branagh that you're part of S.T.A.R.S now right?"
"Yeah… I am. It's just been a few weeks though. It kinda still feels weird being with S.T.A.R.S now."
Rebecca said with a slight nod as she took a small gulp from her water before taking another sip. She could easily tell that the colleague wasn't going to ask something that nice from her tone of voice.
The older colleague then got more blunt with her next comment as she seemed to take a bit more of an aggressive tone.
"See, that's what I don't understand. A young kid like yourself being in the S.T.A.R.S? I thought a team like that was for a bunch of buff tough guys, why was a girl like you recruited?"
Rebecca let out a sigh of frustration as she was expecting something like this to be asked of her. It kinda bothered her that she was still considered a young girl even though she was 18. Rebecca then decided to give a serious reply.
"I might be young, but that doesn't mean I can't be tough. I was recruited because of my talents as a biochemistry student and I also passed all of the training requirements with flying colors and proved I can pull my weight."
The older colleague then let out a small scoff at Rebecca's comment.
"I guess. But still, a girl like you? I figured someone like you would more likely join the normal police department rather than S.T.A.R.S. I mean, what made you think you could handle something as crazy as joining a special forces squad?"
Rebecca then narrowed her eyes at the comment made by the older colleague and let herself lean back on her knees before she gave a serious and blunt reply.
"I can handle craziness... I've been through a lot in my life."
Rebecca said with a bluntness that her words indicated that had a history of dealing with crazy.
The colleague then didn't really know what to say back next as she looked at Rebecca with a slightly concerned look on her face. But rather than keep the conversation going, she decided to walk away with an annoyed expression before making a small comment as she left the gym.
"Wannabe Jill Valentine…"
Rebecca was still annoyed by the older colleague's comments about her joining S.T.A.R.S. and she let out a small frown on her face before taking a small breath and rubbing her head to alleviate the headache the entire conversation induced. She then decided to stand up and stretch her arms as she was now tired from the hour of basketball she had just done. She also wanted to get away from the gym as more of her RPD colleagues would probably have the same opinion as the older woman and bother her with questions she wasn't feeling up to right now so she decided to enter the locker room to take a shower in the thankfully private shower area and soon into her S.T.A.R.S uniform which composes of a light green short sleeve T-shirt with the S.T.A.R.S logo on the sleeve and a red medic cross inside a red circle on the back of the shirt, a white female bullet front vest with green straps, light green pants with a belt full of equipment attached, green/shoes, light green fingerless gloves, with Rebecca doing the final touches to her attire by placing her headband on her lower neck collar. Rebecca soon grabs a hold of the S.T.A.R.S standard-issued weapon that was given to her when she first joined.
THE SAMURAI EDGE.
Rebecca grabbed the special 9mm handgun and soon headed off and exited both the locker room and gym to go through RPD to reach the S.T.A.R.S office, during her short journey there, Rebecca would go through the front hall of the RPD lobby to see many regular RPD officers working and roaming around as Rebecca attempted to get through them.
Rebecca began to navigate through several of the other RPD officers who were roaming around the police station's lobby area as she made her way toward the main stairway near a giant of a woman with 3 slots on the base. Rebecca noticed that some of the other officers were staring at her, some with a small smile as they must have heard about her from another RPD officer as word had spread fairly quickly throughout the station that a new rookie member of S.T.A.R.S had joined them. Rebecca soon headed through the 2nd floor west wing of RPD until she reached the west corridor of the area to find a wooden door on the side of the hallway which had a sign on the side of the door reading in blue, S.T.A.R.S. office with another small text underneath reading, Special Tactics And Rescue Services.
Rebecca soon walked through the door and found herself in the S.T.A.R.S office which was a mid-size rectangular room. The S.T.A.R.S office contained four desks, two of which are split desks capable of seating two people a piece for a total of six desks, with the desk themselves having some of the belongings of other S.T.A.R.S members with one of them Rebecca noticed near the center of the room being messy with a brown motorcycle jacket attach on the wall nearby and the desk behind it had a blue beret with the S.T.A.R.S logo on it, Rebecca also saw a single small office room with brown glass and wooden walls in the S.T.A.R.S office with a personalized computer in the back corner that Rebecca figured it was used by the S.T.A.R.S leader, Captain Albert Wesker, whom Rebecca knew little about. The S.T.A.R.S office also had a main computer that displayed the S.T.A.R.S logo in a blue background near the armory which was in the back of the room area that was locked. The office also had other useful machines for the special police force such as printers, a radio communication set on the right wall, and a small table where the squad's supply shelves were located which was also in the back corner of the office. Rebecca let out a small yawn upon entering and sat herself down at her desk area which was near the back of the office with her being clean and organized, but a single coffee mug is seen on the desk along with a white medkit on the wall attached near her desk. While Rebecca sat down to chill in the office which was surprisingly empty, she noticed a small note on her desk and she decided to read it which turned out to be her S.T.A.R.S credentials
Rebecca Chambers
Age-18 (DOB, 1980, December 13th)
Height-5 ft 3 in (161 cm)
Sex-Female
Special Tactics And Rescue Services/S.T.A.R.S Bravo Team Combat Medic
Enlisted-1998, June 22nd
"Hmph… Still amazed that I'm a police officer."
Rebecca said to herself as she looked at her S.T.A.R.S credentials, feeling oddly satisfied. However, her mind had gotten somewhat clouded as she heard a sudden knock on the closed office door.
*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*
"Hm?"
Rebecca looked at the door wondering who that might be as the door soon opened and Rebecca heard a voice on the other side of it.
"Man fool me once for knocking on an unlocked door and—"
A man entered through the door and noticed Rebecca and became surprised.
"Rebecca! You're feeling better!"
Rebecca recognizes the man who opened the door as Richard Aikens, another member of the Bravo Team with him being the communication expert, but also took a job as Rebecca's trainer due to her inexperience with firearms, combat, and also for the fact that Rebecca is the youngest member of S.T.A.R.S.
Rebecca then gives a small smile as she soon recognizes the man who just entered the office, it was none other than Richard. He was a rather laid-back fellow who often had a habit of making jokes at inappropriate times. Despite his quirks, he always meant well and was a very welcoming individual. Rebecca stood up as Richard had entered.
"Heh, yeah, I'm feeling a lot better after that whole ordeal. Also, hey Richard."
"Hey Rebecca "
A light smile and a gentle tone come from Richard's mouth
"So I heard you're feeling better?"
Rebecca nodded her head after a short pause as she was trying to keep an open mind when talking to others after getting off the whole ordeal.
"Yep! I'm feeling a whole lot better these days; got my energy back and everything."
Rebecca said with a soft smile showing that she felt okay with Richard being around right now.
A small but caring smile comes from Richard's face as he is glad to hear from Rebecca that she is feeling better
"Well that's great to hear"
Richard says in a friendly way and tone
"Would you like to hit the practice range? I have some new techniques to show you if you're up for it?"
A slight glimmer of positivity comes to Rebecca's eyes as she notices the change in Richard's tone, and she could appreciate him offering to teach her further as she would gladly accept. She nodded her head in response, feeling eager to learn new things.
"Absolutely! I would love some pointers. I feel like I could still get better before I get to dive into my first mission!"
Richard then smiles at Rebecca, with the rookie officer knowing that she is still fresh to the S.T.A.R.S Bravo team, Richard's smile makes Rebecca believe and reassures her that she would show great potential and would do wonderful in the field. The two left the S.T.A.R.S office and soon RPD to reach a parking garage near the back of RPD to head over to the training field for Richard to teach Rebecca some useful techniques.
[1998] July 7th
[Location-Site-19, Arklay Mountains, Northwestern Raccoon City]
12:30 PM
Heavy Containment Zone…
One of the most dangerous regions in Site-19 as the area features a high concentration of hostile anomalies and hostile entity SCPs that are considered large threats to the SCP Foundation and the whole world. Only Level 3 Clearance personnel were allowed to enter this dangerous zone which is mainly composed of dark metal tunnels/corridors that the deeper underground basement areas can enter via elevator being preserved for Level 4 Clearance. Currently, a test or rather interview is being conducted in the level 3 area of the Heavy Containment Zone by a female SCP Personnel. She had blonde hair tied in a mid ponytail, amber eyes, a small pink mark on the right side of her face, and wore a white lab coat with a pink button-up shirt seen underneath as wore white pants.
The female doctor is interviewing a mid-level anomaly class SCP which is referred to as Euclid level. The SCP in question wore a black thick robe/cloak and wore a live-like ceramic plague doctor mask that almost looked as if it wasn't only a custom, but if it was part of the SCP.
The female doctor's tone was soft and level, but also authoritative. Her speech was fast, but not so much as to be unintelligible.
"SCP-049, I am Doctor Sophia N Light, and I will be conducting your evaluation today. If you don't mind, please answer my questions as honestly and thoroughly as possible."
SCP-049 stands quietly, head tilted slightly to the side, in apparent contemplation of the doctor's first statement. A few moments pass before he replies in a calm, slightly nasally voice.
"Very well. I shall endeavor to provide satisfactory responses to your inquiries. Please proceed."
Dr. Light looked directly at SCP-049, remaining professional and respectful.
"Thank you. We will start with some basic information first, and then I will ask you more in-depth questions. Is that okay with you?"
"That is acceptable."
SCP-049 shifts its gaze to meet Dr. Light's again but remains silent as it continues to await the first question.
Dr. Light seemed to be studying SCP-049 as if weighing what she should ask first. She straightforwardly asked her question.
"SCP-049, what is your name?"
SCP-049 seems slightly puzzled by the question as if it is expecting something more significant or complex. Nonetheless, it responds in its usual even and calm tone.
"I am designated SCP-049. I am unaware of any other name under which I might be recognized."
Dr. Light made a note on the datapad on her clipboard as she asked
"Well, SCP-049, what exactly are you? I mean, you don't look human. You don't even look organic."
SCP-049 pauses for a few moments, considering this question. Its body shifts minutely as if it is considering its response to the inquiry.
"You are correct in identifying me as non-organic. I am designated as a 'humanoid entity' within the context of the SCP Foundation and the global community. In more specific terms, I am a being composed of both organic and inorganic components. It would be inaccurate to describe my structure as entirely biological or non-biological."
Dr. Light wrote something down; her expression hadn't changed; there wasn't so much as a hint of surprise. As she continued speaking, she remained professional but also seemed genuinely interested in what her subject was saying
"Do you know who made you? Who created you?"
SCP-049 appears to give this question some thought, pausing for several seconds before answering.
"I have no recollection of any individual or organization creating my current state of being, nor do I possess any detailed knowledge regarding the specifics of my origin. However, the possibility exists that I was originally constructed by another entity or group of entities, and the process by which my present self came into existence was ultimately forgotten or lost to the passage of time."
Dr. Light continued, writing more notes, her voice remaining neutral as she maintained a professional outlook.
"Very well. May I ask what your 'mission' is? What goals are you working towards?"
SCP-049 considers this question for a moment, tilting its head, perhaps pondering how to respond.
"My function, or, as you put it, my mission, is to cure the world of the disease known as the 'Pestilence'. It is a goal I have been diligently working toward for an extended period, over many years."
Dr. Light continued writing, making sure to write this particular bit down as the 'Pestilence' that SCP-049 mentioned is one of the more infamous questions in the SCP Foundation since no Personnel has a definite answer for what the Pestilence is with SCP-049 not giving them a solid answer, however, Sophia Light felt confident and ask.
"Can you describe this 'Pestilence' to me? How would you say it manifests itself?"
For a few moments, SCP-049 does not respond. It stares blankly ahead, seemingly lost in thought. Then, it slowly tilts its head to the side again, seeming to ponder Dr. Light's question. Finally, it replies, its voice now sounding less even and more slightly emotional.
"I am not certain that I can effectively describe the "Pestilence" to you, as it is not easily quantifiable or comprehensible. It is a deeply rooted, pervasive malady that has afflicted humanity for millennia and has caused unimaginable misery and suffering.
Dr. Light was surprised hearing this as she expected SCP-049 to not give her an answer, but he did anyway even if it was not the full description of the 'Pestilence'. She still wonders about this mysterious disease that no one in the world has even heard of before until the doors to SCPs-049 Observation chamber open to reveal to Dr. Light and SCP-049 that a SCP Personnel wearing a white suit, red tie, and red hair-tied in a ponytail appear with the two recognizing him as Head Doctor James Lee, Dr. Light was slightly annoyed that he entered in to interrupt the evaluation even if Head Dr. James is in higher authority over her. SCP-049 was interested in why Head Dr. James was here at all as the Plague Doctor SCP and Head Doctor knew each other.
Head Dr. James steps in and looks as he gives a small smile to both Sophia Light and SCP-049 before looking towards his fellow researcher.
"Greetings Dr. Sophia Light…having fun interviewing this boring fuck?"
Head Dr. James said with a smirk in a sarcastic manner.
Dr. Light was rather annoyed at Head Doctor James Lee and responded with sarcasm.
"Oh, of course. It's thrilling. Absolutely thrilling. You should definitely stay here with us. I'm sure you and SCP-049 would get along just famously."
Head Dr. James then laughed at Dr. Light's sarcastic remark.
"Ahahahha! I gotta love it whenever I tick you off…"
Head Dr. James then pointed toward SCP-049.
"I'm actually here for SCP-049."
When Head Dr. James addresses SCP-049, it slowly turns its head towards him, looking the senior researcher up and down.
SCP-049 speaks quietly, his tone calm and even though still slightly nasally.
"And for what reason are you here for my presence, Head Doctor? Is there some pressing matter to discuss regarding my status or abilities?"
Head Dr. James' shook his head at SCP-049 which further piqued its interest, until Dr. Light bluntly spoke to the Head Doctor.
"Don't you have a million billion other things to deal with that are far more important than our testing? Doctor Light was showing more of her annoyance as she glared at Head Dr. James.
As Dr. Light continues to show her annoyance at Head Dr. James, SCP-049 is left pondering the reason for his sudden presence. The longer the exchange between Dr. Light and Head Dr. James continues, the more SCP-049's curiosity grows, and its expression becomes more concerned with each passing second.
Head Dr. James' tone became serious to Dr. Light as he pointed to SCP-049.
"Professor Kuja had requested me to take SCP-049 out of its cell… Don't worry I will make sure it is kept on a tight lease…"
Head Dr. James then grew a sly smirk at Dr. Light and said to further irritate her.
"Hun…"
Dr. Light was growing increasingly irritated and uncomfortable with the situation. And then he called her 'hun.' That was the last straw. She had no choice but to keep herself from becoming angry. She took a deep breath and kept her expression level, but as soon as she finished inhaling, she blurted out a hasty retort while glaring at Head Doctor James as she spoke
"Oh, don't you 'hun' me, you smug little-"
"AHEM!"
A loud sound can be heard from SCP-049 as he makes that noise.
SCP-049 is the only person who has ever managed to shut the Head Doctor up, as any personnel that tried to silence him was met with a barrage of mocking and insults that Dr. James Lee threw at them. As the Head Doctor is silenced for a few seconds as he stands there stunned. However, it only lasted a few seconds before he snapped back and grew a serious tone instead of his cocky and carefree attitude.
"Listen… This is beyond important. Dr. Light, I would appreciate it if you kindly stepped aside, and allowed me to bring SCP-049 outside for a moment. If you think I'm fucking you over, talk to my friend Professor Kuja. Did I get permission from him? Now let me speak to SCP-049…"
Dr. Light gritted her teeth and was starting to lose her cool as Head Dr. James was pushing her buttons, but she remained quiet as Head Dr. James demanded he speak to SCP-049 in a rather firm tone, she couldn't say much as had a higher authority, but she did mutter in a quiet, frustrated voice as she walked away, speaking softly "I'll talk to Professor Kuja after…"
Head Dr. James' face soon turned into a graceful smile.
"Thanks Sophia Light… I knew a great person like you can understand."
Sophia Light scoffs as she moves out of the way as Head Dr. James reaches the control panel on the right side of the observation room to soon unlock SCP-049's door.
The door slides open as Head Doctor Lee waits for SCP-049 to exit the cell.
SCP-049 walks out of the cell and stands before Head Doctor James Lee. Head Doctor James Lee looks over at SCP-049 before saying
"Come, come, friend, this is a very important business we need to deal with…"
With a nod, SCP-049 walks next to Head Doctor James as both of them walk through the Heavy Containment Zone and soon the Entrance Zone after reaching the checkpoint. SCP-04 is curious about why he is called out of his cell, but he has suspicions especially when Professor Kuja's name is mentioned.
"So…What seems the problem… It's clear that we aren't doing ordinary Foundation business."
Head Dr. James sighed as the two continued walking.
"Luckily the SCP Foundation won't send any MTF Units to the Arklay Mountains meaning we can freely continue our plans…The problem with that is, it means more work for us all…"
SCP-049 was silent for a few moments, contemplating what Head Doctor James was trying to say. It then speaks again with its calm and even tone.
"I see… But may I inquire about the role I am to play in all of this? I have a general idea, yet even I cannot say for sure what exactly I am supposed to do during this time..."
Head Dr. James still gave a curious look to SCP-049. He was aware of SCP-049's questions and doubts about what had been going on, but the Head Doctor answered 049's question.
"Our task is to pretty much watch and observe the SCP Foundation while our other friend outside of the SCP Foundation is finding suitable combat data for our B.O.W., but our other friend… Who I think is an asshole wants us to help him find sources for his precious Golgotha virus or whatever."
SCP-049 is aware of what Head Doctor James is talking about, including the B.O.W., Golgotha virus, and other sources. Head Doctor James' speech was starting to gain the interest of the Plague Doctor, but he wanted to know the legitimacy of the Golgotha Virus as SCP-049 knew the identity of the individual who was trying to develop it.
SCP-049 decided to ask Head Doctor James directly.
"Why are we working on abomination viruses…Not only did we have to help him with *T* but now we have returned to being the doctor's lap dogs…"
Head Dr. James chuckles as he finds SCP-049's statement interesting, as he knows the plague doctor during his quiet time. If given the opportunity and permission, SCP-049 would be assisting Head Dr. James's colleagues on their viruses…
"You're probably grumpy when I mention that because you're pissed off that he took all the credit for *T* and he's probably going to do the same for Golgotha."
"Perhaps…But there is a dislike I have for either of those viruses…"
SCP-049 said quietly as Head Dr. James gave out a sigh for the mundane response from SCP-049.
"Whatever, Let's just go to Raccoon City and get what he needs and quickly come back to Site-19."
[1998] July 7th
[Location-Training Fields, Raccoon City]
3:00 PM
Richard and Rebecca arrived at the Training range Rebecca was excited to learn new techniques and methods from Richard, Richard's years of experience and expertise would be an aid to her, as he started with the basics. Richard showed her a few hand techniques with the pistol, showing her how to grip the pistol as well as showing proper stance.
"OK Rebecca, the first thing you have to remember when handling this pistol is to keep both your hands on it, this will ensure a stable and accurate shot.
Rebecca nodded her head in response once Richard began the tutorial. She was doing her best to remember every single detail and information that Richard was giving her as she knew that this was important if she wanted to get better at using the pistol, but Rebecca was becoming eager to begin practicing.
"Now the next thing is a stance, you have to always have a balanced stance, that way you won't lose your balance when you fire."
Richard says as he demonstrates the stance by keeping his arms extended at all times.
Rebecca copied Richard's stance that he had demonstrated for her as she now had a better understanding of how to have a proper stance when using the pistol while keeping her hands on it at the same time. The stance allowed her to stay balanced while also offering a better chance of having her shots land on target.
"Richard, can we finally start shooting?"
Rebecca was getting antsy as she hoped that Richard would permit her to start practicing with the pistol.
"Yes Rebecca, I suppose we can know that you have a good understanding of the basics, I think it would be best if you went to that target over there."
Richard points her to a target that was set up in the training field, the target was about 100 yards away.
Rebecca walks over to the target and aims. She steadies herself by making sure that her hands are firmly grasping the handgun, her feet are placed in a balanced stance, and her arm is outstretched.
She aims the gun at the target and pulls the trigger.
*BANG!*
The shot hits just off the mark.
"Dang it.."
Rebecca muttered.
"Don't worry Rebecca, don't let it discourage you, we are all beginners at first." Richard encourages her.
"Thank you, Richard,"
Rebecca aims again and tries to focus all of her attention on the target. She takes a deep breath before pulling the trigger.
*BANG!*
Once again the shot is just off the mark.
"Crap another miss!"
Rebecca muttered once again.
Richard sees that Rebecca keeps missing the target and knows that he has to take a more hands-on approach to this, he sees the frustration building inside of her and knows if the trend keeps up it will only get worse
"Okay Rebecca it is clear that a practical approach to this is necessary so I'm going to take things into my own hands. Let me show you how it's done."
Richard walks up to the target and aims, he fires the gun with lethal precision and lands every single shot directly in the middle of the target.
Rebecca watches as Richard effortlessly lands every shot in the center of the target, she is mesmerized by this demonstration of flawless shooting, and can't help but feel impressed by his display.
"Wow Richard you're incredible, I wish I could shoot half as good as that."
Richard smiles warmly and says with a hint of pride and smugness
"Yeah, I'm pretty good. Don't worry, once you put in enough time and dedication you'll become good too, you just need to keep at it and be patient."
Richard then walks back up to her and helps her by adjusting her wrist, arms, and the way she grips the gun.
"This is how you should be doing it, you see now Rebecca, this time go ahead and take your shot."
Rebecca now has her stance corrected and her grip on the gun is tighter, she takes her time to focus and aim once again at the target, Richard can see the improvement with this new stance and grip that he provided her.
*BANG!*
Rebecca pulls the trigger and lands her shot directly at the target, this time she hits the target square in the center.
"Yes, I did it!"
Rebecca exclaims excitedly as she sees that she finally hit her target, this was a breakthrough for her and she felt a sense of accomplishment.
Richard smiles at her and tells her
"Nice job Rebecca, you finally landed your shot, with this new stance I gave you, you will be able to improve your aim and shots in no time!"
Rebecca looks around as if she expected more applause for her accomplishment, it had been a while since she felt this sense of satisfaction and pride, she smiles proudly at Richard.
"Hey, what are you knuckleheads doing out here?"
Rebecca and Richard to the sound of voice which turned out to be more of Rebecca and Richard Bravo's squad teammates. Forest Speyer and Edward Dewey.
Richard quickly responds in a friendly manner upon seeing his comrades' tone while Rebecca looks over to the two fellow S.T.A.R.S Officers.
"We were just going over some fundamentals so Rebecca could get the hang of things."
Forest Speyer and Edward Dewey stood near Richard and Rebecca. As Forest noticed them, he gave out a loud whoop while slapping Eddie on the shoulder
"Richard! Eddie! I just beat Chris in pistol target practice! That makes me the team's best shot!"
Forest looked very excited as he said this
"Man, it was a close competition...I just barely won."
Edward just rolls his eyes at Forest.
"Forest please don't call me Eddie, but congrats… Usually that headache beats you 90% of the time."
Edward then looks over to Rebecca giving her a small smile she probably wouldn't expect seeing as Edward wasn't exactly known for expressions.
"Nice work Rebecca. Glad to see a rookie like you is getting the hang of things."
"Uh-thanks Edward... "
Rebecca seems a little surprised to receive a compliment from someone like Edward, who wasn't known to give out many compliments. Rebecca smiles nervously back at him, her cheeks slightly blushing in embarrassment from the attention.
Forest continues to be obnoxious as always, but Rebecca's reply seems to keep him from getting out of hand.
"That's great Forest, just be careful not to get too arrogant, besides… Who is Chris? I know he is part of the Alpha team, but I don't know or many of the others are on that team?"
"Well he's my best friend, he's on the Alpha team. He's the best shooter I've ever seen. He's a better shot than you!"
Forest says to Richard and Edward with a cocky grin. he then looks over to Rebecca
"And no way a rookie like you could ever get as good as Chris!"
He says with a slightly condescending tone.
"Hey knock that off Forest! Don't talk to any of our teammates like that. Especially Rebecca, she's just starting and we need to be encouraging her."
Edward speaks sternly in a low and relaxed voice, giving a slight warning to the forest to watch what he says.
Forest gave a simple shrug as he rolled his eyes and looked away. Richard explains to Rebecca who Chris Redfield is.
"Chris Redfield is a point man of the S.T.A.R.S Alpha team, he's been with us since the start of S.T.A.R.S formation, and he has extensive military experience and expertise in a multitude of areas, mostly centered around firearms."
Richard then shifts his attention to Forest with a frown.
"You shouldn't be so quick to dismiss Rebecca there Forest, she is a good shooter for a rookie and you know just as well as I do that she is very attentive and eager to learn."
Forest looked at Richard and then at Rebecca. He couldn't help but admire the look she gave to Richard in response to his lecture. he realized that he was being rude to her and felt a little guilt
"Aw, come on Richard. I was just joking around!"
Forest gave a slight pout on his face and soon turned towards Rebecca with an apologetic smile.
"You know Rebecca, you're good..for a rookie that is."
"Hmm, thanks... I mean I only started learning how to even handle a gun like a few days ago."
Rebecca awkwardly responds to Forest's apology, she can't help but feel a bit embarrassed as this was her first time receiving an apology from him... it felt weird, as if reality was warped a bit. It would take a bit more than an apology for her to get past the annoyance she had towards Forest, but she was content with this for now.
Rebecca gave a slight smile to Forest, who smiled back as well with a small nod.
"By the way, where is Chris?"
Richard wondered as began to think of his Alpha squad teammates.
"Oh.. you don't know?"
Forest then turns to Edward with a big smile.
"Come on Edward, wanna tell them what happened with you and Chris yesterday at the mess hall?"
Edward just gives an annoyed look to Forest, he's not in the mood for his immature bs today. He tries not to sigh loud enough for the others to hear
"Alright, sure I will tell them what happened so Forest can feel validated in his immaturity…Chris had made a rude comment to me so I threw a cup of water in his face to teach him a lesson not to be insulting in the future…"
A dry laugh was let out from Richard's mouth as Rebecca turned to look at him in confusion. Richard calmed down and spoke.
"Oh, brother… What did he say to you…"
Edward looks over to Richard as he says he's still annoyed and he just wants this conversation to be over, he speaks low trying to keep from yelling.
"At first he wanted to make amends for that one incident on Pizza Day last week and while it was good, I told him maybe he shouldn't act a delinquent half of the time and then he told me I shouldn't act like Brad Vickers and since I don't like to be compared to Alpha team's chicken of a helicopter pilot, I threw a cup of water at him and we pretty much had a good old fashion Irish Beatdown… Safe to say that Vice Captain Enrico yelled at the both of us with Captain Wesker talking to him right now."
This time Richard let out a true laugh as he covered his face in comedic relief from this ludicrous situation. Rebecca also chuckled a bit upon hearing the cause of this fight. Meanwhile, Forest still stood there with a smug grin on his face, this was the kind of entertainment he'd been looking for.
"Jesus Christ! Just because you didn't like his comment you two got into a fight? You know as a good friend I'm supposed to be on your side but honestly, this is just laughable!"
Forest said as he patted Edwards back.
"Shut up Forest…"
Edward says as he scowls but honestly couldn't believe how childish this whole scene was, this was just insane.
Edward sighs and tries to compose himself before he speaks again
"Anyways this is the short version of what happened and now you both know so get it over it."
Edward looks over to Richard who he can hear still laughing behind his hands. He couldn't help but share some of his laughter as well.
Rebecca was having a hard time believing that two grown men would get into a physical conflict over such a trivial matter. It was pretty funny watching how Forest kept pushing things further and further until they both lost it, but Chris was the one who seemed to get under Edwards's skin the most. For a moment Rebecca thought of Chris as being an arrogant hot-head and a nuisance... But that didn't take away the admiration that she had for his impressive combat achievements and ability with firearms.
"Wow, Chris Redfield sounds like a jerk."
"Yeah, the guy is a piece of work that is for sure…"
Richard sighs as he stops laughing.
"Well, I'm sure that this won't be the last time the two of them get into a disagreement with one another as Edward tends to get a bit annoyed sometimes and Chris seems to enjoy pushing Edward's buttons."
"What about you, Richard?"
Rebecca asks, looking at Richard before giving a polite smile to indicate she's waiting for his response.
Richard sighs as he then speaks about Chris, but it isn't overly negative.
"To be honest I can't say that I've ever personally dealt with a conflict with Chris, other than he and Edwards's constant bicker and Forest's rivalry, I and him are pretty cool. He's a pretty nice guy…Though I've seen enough to know the guy can be a jackass when he wants to be."
"Huh, so even Chris is capable of playing nice once in a while? That's pretty hard to believe."
Rebecca responds with a slight smirk on her face as she speaks, she couldn't help but think that maybe in reality Chris wasn't such a bad guy once you got to know him.
"So Chris is a pretty nice guy once you get to know him... I guess that doesn't sound too hard to believe as long as you keep on his good side."
"Exactly, Chris is a damn good shot and is a pretty good guy to his friends once you get past the attitude. It's amazing how that one word can sum up the guy. And don't be fooled by that nice attitude he can still be a pain sometimes."
Edward thinks for a second and then adds.
"And don't forget that he's a chick magnet… It's no wonder he always has a woman on his arm... It's pretty annoying."
Forest laughs at Edward upon hearing that almost as if the Co-Pilot was telling a truth that wasn't completely true.
"Edward do you mean women, or just Jill Valentine who doesn't even remotely like him!"
"Both!"
Edward says pointing his finger at Forest in a condescending manner while Richard rolls his eyes and adds.
"Unbelievable… Most of the women Chris talked to are usually annoyed by him or something similar like that."
The topic of Chris has become quite interesting, upon hearing about how he was a womanizer and a chick magnet, Rebecca felt a strange feeling of jealousy and annoyance at this revelation. The way they spoke of him made it sound as if he was the most popular person on the entire squad and the ladies just flocked to him... It was honestly annoying and just a little bit pathetic, but what piqued her interest was hearing the name Jill Valentine. She heard before when she was playing basketball, but she didn't know she had a connection to S.T.A.R.S
"Jill Valentine? I think I heard her name before when one of the girls on the RPD basketball team was talking about her."
"Yeah, that's Jill. She's kinda known as a bit of a hard ass. She's a badass too. Probably the last person you want as your enemy, so don't piss her off!"
Edward says as he shakes his finger at Rebecca as she turns to Forest who smirks at the statement with Richard soon giving Rebecca a more simple explanation.
"Well Rebecca, Jill Valentine is also part of Alpha Team and specializes in lock picking doors and pretty much breaking in. Other than him being a good teammate to Chris and the rest of us, we don't know much about her as doesn't express herself, although that is kinda half of S.T.A.R.S as well."
"Sounds pretty badass, but I wonder why he would keep hitting on her if she doesn't like him? Is he just stubborn? "
Forest chuckles, "Well Chris Redfield is pretty good at not taking no for an answer, he's gonna beat down that ice queen one day for sure!"
Rebecca gives a look of disapproval upon hearing these words from Forest. Chris just sounds like a jerk, hitting on a woman who doesn't even like him, even after being politely rejected multiple times, but she decides not to think too much of it as it's not important or professional for a S.T.A.R.S officer to have negative thoughts of her teammates she figured, soon Edward and Forest looked like they are going to leave.
"Well, that's enough talking for now. We got better things to do."
Edward said as he began walking away from Rebecca and Richard as he spoke.
Forest had to make one more little dig-in before leaving.
"Hey Edward, have you managed to get a girl on your lap yet? Bet not, I'd be surprised if YOUR womanizing got anywhere!"
"Shut up Forest!"
Edward yelled as he and Forest were leaving, a bit annoyed at what Forest had said.
Rebecca gave off a slight chuckle after hearing Forest's comment as well.
Richard soon laughs a bit as well before looking over in Rebecca's direction with a subtle grin on his face.
"Well, it seems like those two are just gonna be stuck in a constant verbal spat for as long as time lasts. It's kind of entertaining, and just a little bit pathetic all at once."
Rebecca looked back over at Richard who still had that smirk on his face, she couldn't help but notice that something about it seemed to be a tad bit more genuine when addressing her than Forest or Edward. Soon her stomach started to grumble… She hadn't eaten for hours.
"Alright, well you know I should probably go get some dinner before I pass out from hunger. So maybe we can continue this later? Unless you need me for something else?"
Rebecca responds with a polite smile as she looks over to Richard.
Richard was a bit surprised when Rebecca's stomach started to rumble to the point where she felt it was getting painful due to her lack of nutrition, but Richard had a place in mind.
"Hey if you're hungry then is there a good place we can go to grab a bite?"
"You know a good place to eat? That sounds pretty good right about now."
Rebecca replied with a slight smile as she looked straight into Richard's eyes.
"Yeah, I know just the place. It's a tiny cafe close to RPD. It's not much but it has some damn good food."
Richard says smiling back at Rebecca.
"Alright, I guess I'll trust your judgment then."
Rebecca replied with a pleasant smile, she was starting to become quite comfortable with Richard's company and she couldn't help but feel a little bit of something more than a coworker... He just seemed like a genuinely nice guy to be around.

3:30 PM
Head Dr. James Lee and SCP-049 were in a small lab/experimental room in an unknown building in Racoon City, the two were walking through the dimly lighted hallways on the metal floors. They were trying to meet up with their partner who wanted them to acquire material for the so-called Golgotha Virus whom the two knew as a personal project for him… A little bit too personal for him as Head Dr. James and SCP-049 discussed their thoughts on the Virus.
"I don't mind the doctor continuing to work on the virus…But it better dissuade not him from helping us…The Colonel is already giving us 5 dirty looks every time we enter in the meetings…"
The two continue walking a little further, and then SCP-049 opens its mouth for the next statement.
"Dr. James, why is it that our 'friend' wants the virus created so quickly? That is what is alarming me especially if the Foundation gets wind of these plans… It will give the Foundation more reasons to interfere…Or, even worse… Find the B.O.W, which is the last thing we need…"
Head Dr. James Lee chuckles as he speaks to the plague doctor.
"That is the thing… Mr. X had our B.O.W./The Ultimate Lifeform face off against MTF Epsilon-11, Nine-Tailed Fox… They were the best we as the SCP Foundation had to offer, if they were easily defeated by that then that meant we have nothing to worry about, but we couldn't let the SCP Foundation interfere with our plans anymore because they wouldn't approve of our operations."
SCP-049 looks at James with its head tilted to the side as its curiosity and questioning grow as they walk.
"How exactly did the B.O.W/The Ultimate Lifeform manage to defeat Nine-Tailed Fox? I have heard of that Unit being the most dangerous out of all other prototypes…"
Head Dr. James Lee snapped his fingers as he pointed at SCP-049 and even himself and soon spoke.
"SCPs… They use SCPs to genetically modify it to be more powerful than our other prototype models…It might be even more powerful than the Super T-103 models, but that won't be the case once we acquire the combat data we need and start modifying them as well."
SCP-049 seems slightly concerned that they were using SCPs for experimentation. Even though it was a doctor himself, he didn't like the idea of other SCPs being used not because it caused possible dangers, but also because SCPs were being used for horrible experiments, something SCP-049 couldn't ethically see as right.
The Plague Doctor looks back at James as they walk.
"Are there no limits to this madness? I think that it will go too far once the SCPs we have in custody are no longer willing to cooperate with these inhumane experiments. Will these operations become a danger to not only our existence but also humanity as well for the sake of this 'perfect lifeform'?"
Head Dr. James Lee scoffed at SCP-049 as he didn't like its rather quick statement towards this.
"Hmmm, interesting… You say inhumane experiments yet you self are will perform experiments on SCP Personnel you deem as have that weird pestilence thing you always complain about not only that, but also for the fact that you are working for us yet you acknowledge the experiments regarding *T*."
SCP-049 doesn't respond at first to the Head Doctor but its eyes narrowed down to small thin slits as its tone changed from inquisitive to something that carried a threatening aura as it looked back at James.
"I will not tolerate your ignorance of my experiments to cleanse humanity…I seek to find a cure to this plague to benefit all… Not to satisfy my desires and cravings for pain and suffering… I have a purpose and a goal I seek to achieve while you and your associates only seek selfish ambitions and with the help of this organization you are working for besides the SCP Foundation I will be able to obtain that goal…"
Head Dr. James seems to take SCP-049's small bout of anger amusing as he smirks, he knew of the SCP mission, but he didn't personally care as the Head Doctor had no regard for people… The two then walked silently as they soon reached a metal door which was locked… Head Dr. James knocked on it several times and waited for an answer, but nothing happened which slightly irritated him as he knocked again.
*Knock knock knock!*
"Hurry up Hurry up!"
Head Dr. James said as he waited impatiently but SCP-049 looked over at Dr. James as he chuckled and shook his head at his behavior.
"Truly it is surprising to see that even though you have such power and influence, you still show signs of impotence. The way you act as if you are superior to others yet lack basic common sense is quite ironic for someone of your position as a scientist… You are no different from a child who cannot think for themselves… Yet, you expect the world to listen and obey everything you say… "
Head Dr. James gave an annoyed and threatening look as he knocked on the door
Harder.
*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!*
"HEY WE ARE HERE! OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!"
Soon the door opens with the Head Doctor and SCP finding themselves in the presence of an adult female in her 30s with blonde hair tied in a ponytail, blue eyes, and a white open lab coat while wearing a gray shirt and blue pants while wearing red short heels. Head Dr. James Lee and SCP-049 were very surprised to see her as they weren't expecting her at all, but they knew who she was and the lady wasn't amused to see them. She didn't look thrilled to see them, especially James Lee who was knocking at her door intensively several times.
"I would appreciate it if you would stop knocking on my door,"
The lady said in a cold tone and without looking at both of them, which made both James Lee and SCP-049 more annoyed to see because both of them felt slight disrespect in that tone.
"Annette, what the hell are you doing here! Did I want to see your asshole husband? Where is he!"
Head Dr. James quickly shouted as he felt like time was about to be wasted while SCP-049 stood silently and watched.
When Head Dr. James mentioned her husband's name, she then turned towards them as she slowly put down the clipboard she was holding her eyes narrowed and her angry aura was surrounding her with no traces of her anger disappearing.
Annette then spoke in her cold tone as she was looking James straight in the eyes.
"He's not here James so no use shouting at me about it like a 5-year-old boy,"
Annette said with a slight smile while trying to hold herself back from lashing out at him.
Head Dr. James was almost going to yell back at Annette but SCP-049 spoke out in a more professional and calm tone to Annette before Head Dr. James.
SCP-049 looked at Annette with its head slightly tilted as its gaze and tone were more soothing in contrast to how Head Dr. James Lee was acting.
"Dear Annette, I am sure you understand our frustration… but I assure you we are not here to disrupt your personal life…we only seek to acquire materials for our *Golgotha Virus* as your husband would like to conduct experiments on the final product of his… or rather the two of you."
When SCP 049 referred to her as "Dear Annette" it made her even more upset at the situation even though she knew why he was calling her that.
"You have an interesting way to call me dear," Annette said with sarcasm in her voice as she looked at Head Dr. James Lee, then she spoke towards her husband's colleague.
"So what is it that you want me to give you? If you want me to get a sample of my husband's G-Virus you can certainly forget it, do it yourself."
SCP-049 was taken by surprise by Annette's sudden response when he said *dear* while Head Dr. James became angry upon hearing Annette and was about to say something, but SCP-049 stopped him again before the Head Doctor said something to offend Annette.
"I would not think to be so bold as to demand a sample of the G-Virus itself... Your husband only asked us to acquire tissue samples from the *G* to help him study, but I would like to acquire extra for my research as well."
She slowly started to calm down but the way Head Doctor James acted earlier towards her was the thing that was pissing her off.
"Your 'research' huh? What makes you think that I'll let you acquire one of these tissue samples? I have no guarantee that you won't be doing some unethical bullshit in it,"
she said in an irritated tone towards SCP-049.
Head Dr. James at a high speed shout speed.
"Listen bitch. Your damn husband sent us to acquire material for his G-Virus, so you better do him an easy favor and send us the material, or else I'm going to snitch on you to the colonel for you working on the G-Virus!"
When Head Doctor James called her a bitch Annette immediately swung her red short heels towards Head Doctor James's kneecaps, trying to knock him down on the ground, which she hoped would cause him to feel pain as she then spoke towards him with anger in her tone.
"Listen here, you little bastard! I don't care what you think you are in charge of at this damn place, but it doesn't mean you can come in here and order me around like a kid, thinking you could easily bully me into getting you a tissue sample of this damn virus. So what if my husband asked you to help him out? That's not my problem, it's his and you better keep your damn nose out of my damn business!"
Head Dr. James lifted himself and shook his leg as if the heel Annette us didn't hurt him at all, but it did make him angry, SCP-049 however was largely amused by this as it was almost deserving for James Lee to receive this… Even if the Head Doctor wasn't mildly hurt.
SCP-049 was amused as well when Head Doctor James received what it thought he deserved as he smiled beneath his mask for a brief moment.
"I am sorry that my colleague here has angered you…but I will make sure that he doesn't interrupt your work as well as not demand you to acquire anything else that you may find unnecessary for us."
SCP-049 then looked at Annette with an almost sad look as it spoke once again.
"Please, Annette, I assure you that any experiments I conduct are perfectly ethical and professional."
Annette then calmed herself down a bit to where she slowly relaxed herself even though she was still a little bit pissed off with Head Doctor James Lee.
When SCP 049 spoke to her softly, she relaxed herself some more. She was glad that SCP 049 wasn't acting all rude and disrespectful towards her although it was an SCP.
Annette sighed and then spoke to SCP 049.
"I'll only allow you to get one sample of this damn virus...but one condition..."
Head Dr. James decided to stay quiet as he took deep breaths while SCP-049 nodded to her in response as it was a relief to find out that she was willing to permit it.
"Your terms are reasonable… What is this condition you have in mind, Annette?"
"If you are going to do any of your 'Research' on the tissue sample, I want to watch over whatever research you will be doing. I want to make sure you are doing ethical experiments with the sample that you have requested from me now,"
She said firmly as she narrowed her eyes.
SCP-049 was thrilled to hear that, but Head Dr. James frowned upon hearing that. He didn't mind Annette watching if it meant they could hurry up, but to be ethical brought a question to him.
"And why is it you want the experiment to be ethical?"
Annette was starting to lose her cool with Head Doctor James's stupidity as she felt like he was insulting her intelligence.
"Why is it so damn important to me that the experiments are ethical? Well, Head Doctor James I'll tell you why it is so damn important to me for the experiments to be ethical, it's because I don't want the patient to be in any unnecessary pain and suffering, that's why I want it to be ethical and not unnecessary."
Head Dr. James then grew a sinister smile as SCP-049 gave the Head Doctor a curious look.
"Those are… valid reasons Annette, but I am really surprised you said that yet you're married to him and you are also participating in the T-Cell and T-Virus experiments… Sure they may seem humane during your time working… But you have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. If I were, mind your own damn business and keep out of ours! I don't give a damn if we are experimenting on kids, people who want results will always experiment on others even if it's against their will or not! But… because you ask… We will and don't won't be doing anything inhuman… And if you want extra confirmation… Ask your husband… You and he are working on the G-Virus with you working on the safe side and him—"
Head Dr. James started laughing wildly making SCP-049 more curious and Annette was slightly creeped out, but even confused on what he meant. Soon Head Dr. James stopped laughing and spoke again.
"Like I said, ask him…Or if you want to, Professor Kuja or our other partner, know who they are so… Let's end this bickering and finally get the tissue samples."
Annette had it with Head Dr. James' behavior and his disregard for human experimentation.
"You know what that's it,"
Annette said as she slowly stood up and was about to start swinging at him, but fortunately, SCP 049 got in between with a calm and soothing tone to calm Annette down as it spoke to her first.
"You are getting upset over something so trivial as this, my dear Annette...There is no need to resort to violence over a small misunderstanding."
SCP-049 then turned to Head Doctor James, but before 049 could speak he spoke first with a cocky and smug tone.
"This is a pointless argument anyway... We need the tissue sample and you will give it to us… Right?"
Annette couldn't take Head Doctor James' attitude any longer as she started feeling a small surge of murderous intent and she immediately spoke to him.
"No I am not going to give you a goddamn sample if your attitude is like that... so I am warning you right now if you can't change your damn attitude then leave my office and out of my life! I don't care who you are or what power you have... I'm not going to help you unless you will treat me with respect!"
Head Dr. James didn't hesitate to speak back but SCP-049 quickly held out his hand towards the Head Doctor to stop him and gave him a deadly glare and soon turned back at Annette and spoke to her in a calm voice to end the argument.
SCP-049 seemed to have had enough of Head Doctor James' disrespect towards Annette as it turned to her and spoke with a calm and soothing voice once again.
"Head Doctor James is no longer in his right mind, dear Annette... he had no right to disrespect you in such a manner… But rest assured that I am still in my right mind and I do have the utmost respect for you."
Head Doctor James seemed to be annoyed that SCP-049 was trying to speak for him, but he could not help but stay silent.
Annette slowly started to calm down a bit as her heartbeat slowed a little bit and she lowered her voice to where it sounded much more calm now as she gave off a relieved sigh.
She then spoke again towards Head Dr. James, but this time in a much calmer tone she spoke in.
"Head Doctor James... I hope you realize that I don't appreciate that kind of behavior towards me or anyone else.. so if you have any decency left in you... then I recommend you change your attitude or else..."
Annette stayed silent as she narrowed her eyes at Head Dr. James in a slightly threatening way while the Head Doctor just shrugged without a care towards her Annette turned towards SCP-049 and smiled at its respectfulness.
"You're a real gentleman in how you act, unlike that disrespectful moron right there,"
Annette said with a smirk on her face as she pointed at Head Doctor James with her index finger while still looking at SCP-049.
SCP-049 found Annette's way of speaking towards the Head Doctor quite humorous as it smirked while glancing back at him as his expression grew angrier.
"I do thank you for that compliment, Annette... As for you, Dr. James, I believe that you should learn how to behave in a certain manner to not anger others… You have much influence and power, yes, but you also possess a fragile ego that can be easily shattered, it seems."
SCP-049 then looked back at Annette.
"Now, shall we discuss your terms?"
SCP 049's way of speaking toward the Head Doctor made Annette want to start laughing at both of them as she smiled again at SCP 049's witty remarks.
"I'll agree with you, Head Doctor James requires some manners lessons," Annette said with a slight chuckle as she looked back towards Head Doctor James with a cocky grin.
Annette then looked back at SCP 049 once again.
"Yes, let us discuss my terms."
Annette took a deep breath and soon spoke in her calm voice.
"You may borrow the tissue sample for your research, but I will be watching over every one of your experiments to make sure they are ethical as I want to prevent any unnecessary pain and suffering, which is all I can ask you for now.
Annette soon turned and gave a glare at Head Dr. James Lee with her tone raising.
I will be observing and watching over your whole damn research, no excuses."
SCP-049 was once again amused at her remarks and smirked while looking at her as a sense of mutual admiration had formed.
"I wholeheartedly agree with you... As for your terms, I do not mind having you present during my experimentation, it will not hinder my work nor disturb me in any way."
SCP-049 then turned its gaze to look at Head Doctor James as it spoke once again.
"I also don't see your husband having an issue with us acquiring a tissue sample since you are still working with him on the G-Virus experiments."
Annette smiled once again at SCP 049's words and then gave a nod as she entered back into her room which was a makeshift laboratory room. SCP-049 and Head Dr. James waited for a couple of minutes with the two being silent to each other until Annette returned with a case of *G* Tissue samples.
Annette carefully placed the case of tissue sample on the table with a careful motion and stepped back away from the table.
"Here's the tissue sample case, take the number of samples that you need."
Annette said calmly as she nodded towards both SCP-049 and Head Dr. James while she kept her eyes towards the case.
Head Dr. James made a smart comment just to mess with Annette.
"So I wonder… How are you going to observe the experiments if you're handing them to us? It's not like you're going to follow us right?"
That comment made Annette's blood pressure get higher by the sound of it as she narrowed her eyes at Head Doctor James.
"That is precisely what I am going to do because I don't trust you one bit to do your damn job so I will be keeping my eyes on you to ensure that nothing unethical happens. Do you understand Head Doctor James?"
Head Doctor James soon made a growl and in a quick instant. He turned away from Annette and punched the metal wall repeatedly.
*BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!*
"FUCKK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKKKK!"
After 30 seconds of punching the metal wall which was now extremely dented, Head Dr. James pulled his fist away which surprisingly for Annette wasn't bloody or seemed injured, but it had a weird distortion that she couldn't describe. SCP-049 had an idea of why, but Head Dr. James was extremely heated as he didn't remotely enjoy being bossed around… Especially by Annette and her husband whom for a long time before this encounter he held a hatred towards.
Those loud metal bangs made Annette's ears ring as she covered her ears with her palms and then looked over to see Head Dr. James beating up the metal wall. She never thought that the Head Doctor whom she heard over the years of working for this organization was peaceful and understanding, but in reality, she was an ill-tempered scientist, even a monster… just like those SCPs she had heard from her husband.
She soon turned her head away from the dented wall and then looked back over to SCP 049 and then spoke to him while keeping her eyes on him as she spoke.
"I don't know about you but Dr. James seems to be a little bit... furious right?"
The loud sounds of Head Doctor James banging the dented wall did not faze SCP-049 as it simply watched from its position in silence. It looked at Annette as she spoke and simply nodded its head.
"Yes, it does appear that Head Doctor James is angry… But do not fret my dear Annette; I believe it was his fragile ego that I had pointed out earlier that made him angry in the first place—"
"Don't even bother… You two can go back to whatever the hell Annette's Birkin's husband is… Even though I suspect him to be at the training facility…"
Head Dr. James said as he was prepared to leave.
Annette simply rolled her eyes before letting out a small sigh as she turned away from Head Dr. James with her hands still covering her ears.
"So where are you exactly going? Back to Site-19?"
SCP-049 spoke in its curious expression with only Head Dr. James shaking his head as he walked off the last thing they heard being.
"No… I'm going to blow some steam and talk to someone…"
After Head Doctor James stormed off with his attitude and his anger, Annette was annoyed but not surprised at all as she turned her focus back towards SCP-049.
She then spoke in a calm tone once again.
"So if he's going to blow some steam off, where do you think he's heading?"
SCP-049 seemed a bit taken aback by this unexpected question as its expression changed a bit with its tone shifting slightly to a more mysterious manner.
"To be honest… I have many educated guests on where he is going…"
"Well, that was a little bit... ominous to be honest. So what you're telling me, is that you have no idea where he's going next? "
Annette said in a curious tone and she was slightly concerned about what Head Doctor James was going to do next, it was like he planned on taking his anger out on something or someone.
SCP-049 now looked away from her while thinking to himself as he spoke more earnestly.
"Unfortunately, I do know where he is going… "
SCP-049 and Annette were relieved to see Head Dr. James leave, but they both grow suspicious of where the Head Dr is going. SCP-049 figures that Head Dr. James Lee might lower its Clearance level or make his containment procedures stricter if he returns to Site-19 out of spite which 049 didn't care for, but he did wonder about the legitimacy of the G-Virus that is being worked on by their partner from the organization, and even the T-Virus which seems to be the biggest mystery.

[Location-Emmys Cafe, Raccoon City]
4:00 PM
Richard Aikens took S.T.A.R.S Bravo team rookie Rebecca Chambers to a 2 story small cafe near the outskirts of Flower Street. The diner had a 1960s style with red accent seats, a wooden diner countertop, and a kitchen area in the back. Rebecca and Richard were finishing up a meal from there.
"This place wasn't an exaggeration, this food is amazing!"
Rebecca gave off a satisfied grin as she continued to eat, taking in every savory bite of this delicious burger!
Rebecca eats quickly as she is rather famished after not eating for hours.
"I told you this place was fantastic."
Richard is looking at Rebecca, watching her eat in a satisfied manner. Rebecca also has a very cute eating habit.
Richard watches her eating in silence for a while until Rebecca finally finishes her meal.
"My god, I think I ate that way too fast. You weren't wrong... My stomach was hurting so bad because of lack of nourishment…"
"Yeah, eating fast is the way to go when you're dying of hunger."
Rebecca says as she finishes the last bite of her delicious meal.
"This is my new favorite place to eat from now on."
Rebecca responds as the smile on her face spreads wider, a small bit of frosting from her slice of chocolate cake that had been included with her meal was left on her upper lip. Richard just had to look away as it might seem a bit strange, but Rebecca reminded him of someone from his life.
Richard shakes the thought out of his head and replies to her.
"Yeah for sure,"
Richard replies, trying not to be too obvious since he is still watching her lips and that frosting on her upper lip.
"But I still say I make better hamburgers."
"Oh, you do huh?"
Rebecca responds in mock surprise.
"Maybe you should make some for me sometime and perhaps the other S.T.A.R.S officers as well!"
"I think the other S.T.A.R.S. members would appreciate them as well."
Richard smiles looking directly into Rebecca's eyes before looking at the frosting on her upper lip that had not gone away. She reminded him of Julia, his younger sister although it was a memory that Richard didn't want to think of at the moment.
"I'll be sure to make you some hamburgers soon."
Richard stares at Rebecca's upper lip, the tiny spot of frosting remaining. He feels almost drawn to it for some odd reason. Before his thoughts can wander off even further he notices that Rebecca hasn't wiped the frosting off her mouth and that she is smiling at him expectantly. Richard feels a light blush creeping up on his face as their eyes meet again. He quickly grabs a napkin and wipes the frosting from Rebecca's mouth.
The sudden touch takes Rebecca by surprise and for a little bit, a blush spreads across the young girl's cheeks as she feels the warmth of his fingers brushing away the last traces of frosting from her lip. Rebecca's brown eyes flicker upwards for a moment, but she is unsure whether or not the feeling she experienced in that moment was the warmth of Richard's fingers, or something else...
Richard soon pulls his hand away from Rebecca's mouth, her little bit of sudden blushing and smile is rather adorable and quite distracting for a moment, but he quickly shakes it off.
"Well anyway… I think I am done eating. We should pay for our tabs and return to RPD."
Richard quickly said as he attempted to look normal and casually.
Rebecca shakes the thoughts from her head for what had happened just a moment ago and realizes what Richard has just said.
"Oh yes, I think that is a smart idea."
Rebecca replies with a slight chuckle as she takes a last sip of her drink, before picking her wallet up and laying the tab and a tip on it.
"Alright, well that was a pretty incredible meal. I'm glad that you thought of taking me here. My stomach is feeling much better now."
Richard soon nods his head, with a small feeling of satisfaction and he smiles at Rebecca, he couldn't help but think how adorable she was when she was blushing.
"Well, I'm glad that you enjoyed the burger. Hopefully, I'll get to cook for you someday.."
"I can't imagine anything would taste better than a meal cooked by you."
Rebecca replies, giving off a kind and genuine smile as she and Richard soon leave Emmy's as they walk through Flower Street in Raccoon City. They were still in their S.T.A.R.S uniform rather than their casual outfits which felt nerve-racking for Rebecca as the civilians gave them stares and while some were stares of respect it almost felt as if they were disappointed in them… Maybe RPD, or S.T.A.R.S perhaps? This bothered Rebecca and she asked Richard about it.
"Is there a reason that everyone is staring at us?"
Rebecca turned her head towards Richard who was walking by her side, looking around to gather a general idea of what she was talking about. People were indeed staring at them with some seeming annoyed,
Richard had been noticing the stares for a while and soon answered Rebecca.
"You heard of the Arklay Mountains Murder right Rebecca?
The words "Arklay murders" soon send a chill down Rebecca's spine. The recent bizarre murders that were on the news as she looked up to Richard spoke to him her thoughts on it as they continued walking.
"Yeah… It's a terrible incident. I'm sure everyone's just worried since it's just close enough to Raccoon City."
Richard nodded.
"Many of the citizens are frustrated that the Murder has been going on unsolved for 2 months. It doesn't also help the fact RPD has been investigating this for a while now but no leads have come up with many in Raccoon City even blaming S.T.A.R.S for not doing anything."
Rebecca's face scrunched inward for a brief moment when Richard mentioned the murders and she gave off a nervous chuckle under her breath.
"Yeah, I suppose that would make sense..."
Rebecca looked down at the sidewalk, she felt quite terrible for the victims who had to suffer a fate like that.
"Do you think that S.T.A.R.S might be taking things a little too slow for the liking of some of the people here? I can understand their frustration, but they have to know that things like this take time."
"Yeah, I understand their worries and frustration but it's not like we can snap our fingers and make the murders just stop... We have been following all the leads that we could but so far it's been all dead ends."
Richard sighed and let out a small grunt, a small part of him was worried that things might become worse for S.T.A.R.S if they didn't put a stop to the murderer soon enough.
"I can understand the fears and frustration but it's just the pressure is on us, and it's a lot."
"I can only imagine."
Rebecca replied, that she was starting to get nervous because of the constant stares she had been getting.
"I don't know how you can handle all the pressure that comes with being a S.T.A.R.S. member, but I admire your composure."
It was true, Rebecca was rather impressed with Richard's attitude. Many of the citizens in the city could learn a thing or two from a guy like him. The two soon reached RPD when they entered the front hall which wasn't busy, as some of the RPD officers seemed to be talking amongst themselves along with a secretary in an interesting conversation, But Rebecca and Richard noticed Vice Captain Enrico Marini coming downstairs from the west winged looked like he was about to leave until he spotted Rebecca and Richard.
Rebecca waved and spoke to Enrico.
"Captain Enrico! It's a pleasure to see you, sir!"
Enrico seemed slightly surprised seeing the two of them.
"Officer Rebecca and Richard? What brings you two here? You're off duty?"
Rebecca and Richard looked at each other for a moment before Richard replied.
"We went to get something to eat before returning to the station, we had a nice conversation, didn't we?"
"Certainly did!"
Rebecca adds before she is cut off by Enrico who crosses his arms
"Well…you two better finish up your conversations later.
The whole station including the higher-ups has been under major pressure due to the rising murders and all that stuff."
"I see."
Rebecca says after hearing Enrico's response, but it still felt like the pressure was more on her and Richard than even them. Richard was just too nice for his good so she had to step in.
"Yes sir, but it's obvious that we are feeling the pressure too. We have to be just as concerned as everyone else."
Rebecca spoke with confidence, but she couldn't help but still feel a small bit nervous about the upcoming days. The murders were on every officer's and citizen's minds…
"I see that you got some courage in you rookie! I respect it…"
Marini says to Rebecca, he then looks at Richard and looks him right in the eyes.
"Richard, you're still young, you are allowed to feel pressure but you must learn from us how to deal with it. Never lose your composure."
Enrico then turns towards Rebecca
"You as well Rebecca, never lose your composure, I hope that this is clear to you two."
Rebecca and Richard nod their heads in understanding and respect for the words of Marini.
"Don't worry sir, we won't lose our composure."
Rebecca replies after taking a breath to calm herself.
"I'm sure that when RPD assigns us to this case! We will catch the murderer quickly and people won't even remember it all."
Richard said and simply nodded his head at Marini, he already felt nervous to begin with but he had to step it up.
"I hope you both would. I expect only perfection from you and all the S.T.A.R.S members as well."
Enrico replies he was a perfectionist when it comes to missions. He then looks at the clock.
"Well, I am off duty right now and heading off to attend a dinner with some friends of mine… If the two of you are heading back to the S.T.A.R.S office, just be aware Captain Wesker is talking to someone in his office, and from the looks of it… they're important."
"We will keep that in mind!"
Richard replies
"Enjoy your dinner, Captain Enrico!"
Rebecca shouts at the now distant Vice-captain as the two S.T.A.R.S officers head over to the 2nd floor west wing where the S.T.A.R.S Office is located. They soon made their arrival and noticed that the hallway was rather quiet.
"Hey Richard… Are you also getting the feeling that something is off?"
Rebecca spoke softly yet still loud enough for Richard to hear her. She felt something odd going on, but Rebecca couldn't describe it in her head.
Richard turns his head toward Rebecca then he stares at her
"I was gonna ask you the same question, the atmosphere here is all messed up…And it's not just because of the murders…"
After hearing Richard, Rebecca soon felt even more uneasy as she felt their presence in the hallway. She also agreed with his assumption that it wasn't only because of the murders as they headed towards the S.T.A.R.S office. The door was closed and unlocked, but the 2 didn't want to intrude since Captain Wesker was speaking to an important person, and doing so would certainly get the two in trouble.
"Well I guess we should wait out here"
Richard says as he is willing to wait patiently until Wesker's meeting is over, however, Rebecca being the rookie officer she is, is curious about what the two are talking about and inches towards the door.
The young rookie then walked quietly towards the closed door, while being close to the door she began to hear their voices. Her curiosity started to rise as she leaned her ear close to the door and attempted to try and hear what they were saying. At the moment she also attempted to keep herself from opening the door a bit to peek inside, she held back as she listened carefully to hear Captain Wesker's voice and another voice that she did not recognize at all, but Rebecca couldn't but felt the 2nd voice was… chaotic and even… carefree.
"So you're saying that you think this could further complicate things?"
Wesker is heard saying that in the office.
"Yes… Especially with all the murders going on and this uneasy tension…It's going to cause us to have a lot on our plate."
The voice replied to Wesker.
"That is the obvious case, but… I must ask why did you have to lash out like that?"
Wesker asked the other person he was speaking to in a confrontational manner and the voice soon got slightly irritated.
"You know why. I never liked working with him and his wife! She always faking her *Moral* compass and the husband has been acting all high and mighty, ever since I first met him!"
"He can be like that at times… But you must not let your emotions get to you… You still have a task that you and the others have to complete."
"I understand Wesker… The problem is though that one of them is questioning the legitimacy of this…"
A long pause is heard from Wesker before he speaks as he is thinking while Rebecca is at the point of leaning on the door with her ear while Richard gives her a look of disapproval for pretty much spying on what Captain Wesker is talking about.
"Rebecca, what are you doing? You can't be spying like that. Especially if it's Captain Wesker!"
"But… I'm just curious…"
Rebecca replied in a small voice towards Richard as she pulled back from the door, slightly embarrassed now from being caught attempting to eavesdrop on Wesker's conversation but the captain's office was all silent now where even Rebecca couldn't hear a single thing.
"Well… it's not like I was interested in the conversation, I just can't help but feel like it's something I need to hear… I mean the murders are going on and it's our job to investigate this matter and all… Right?"
Richard sighed at what he heard coming out of Rebecca's mouth as he crossed his arms in disbelief
"That may be so, but you must respect privacy, even if we're doing our job. You have to remember that the captain is currently dealing with the murder case here and with some things we are not meant to hear…"
Then with a slight pause, Richard continued to speak
"...Plus, you don't want to get in trouble if Wesker or the person that he's speaking to catches you eavesdropping, right?"
"You're right… I don't want to get in trouble, especially if it's Captain Wesker… He'll have an angry side we don't get to see often."
Rebecca nodded her head in agreement as she stood by Richard in silence where the two stood around for a little while, both of them eventually hearing something from inside Wesker's office.
"Alright, that's settled then…We will both deal with them while he continues his personnel project and you continue what you usually do…"
The 2nd voice said to Wesker in a more calm voice.
"Affirmative glad we could reach an agreement."
Wesker said.
"Besides my friend, you're the only person I respect. You try to stay busy now Captain Wesker."
Soon the S.T.A.R.S office door opens with Rebecca and Richard seeing a man wearing a white suit and red tie with red hair in a ponytail walking out and soon notice the two.
"Hmmm and who you might be? More S.T.A.R.S officers."
"Oh! Uhm! Uh…"
Rebecca was speechless for a moment when she first saw the man who was walking out from the S.T.A.R.S. office, where the young rookie quickly spoke.
"Er… Yes… We are officers from the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team."
As both Richard and Rebecca said simultaneously.
The man smiled upon hearing and spoke with a gracious and intriguing tone.
"Bravo team… That must mean you are under the Vice Captain. Enrico…. Marinaly, Marina—?"
The man is attempting to say the Bravo team's captain's name but he doesn't quite remember the last name.
"Oh it's Marini…"
Richard said as he was trying to correct the man who was trying to say the Bravo team's captain's last name.
"Yeah… We are under the Vice Captain Enrico Marini."
Rebecca said as she was starting to be a bit at ease now when speaking to the man.
The man smiled and nodded towards Richard.
"Thank you, sir."
He then forwards both of his eyes towards Rebecca and Richard as he approaches them.
"Well even though I am not familiar with Captain Enrico, make sure you tell him and Wesker that you have my respect. Hopefully, you do the same for both of them as they are very hard-working officers!"
Richard and Rebecca nodded to the man, and the two then spoke.
"We definitely will!"
Richard said respectfully and Rebecca spoke next, with a bit of playfulness yet still showing respect.
"We will tell them that. But it's nice meeting you… What may your name be?"
The name smirked at Rebecca and soon said before leaving off.
"James Lee."
The white suit man soon left the West hall while Rebecca and Richard looked at each other and thought he was slightly odd, but he was at least nice, and respectful, and even acknowledged them and their captains. They soon entered the S.T.A.R.S offices which were empty with the only person inside being Captain Albert Wesker.
Wesker was leaning against a wall when Rebecca and Richard entered. The office was eerily silent, and the young rookie officer suddenly felt very uncomfortable. However, she couldn't help but notice the strange tension in the air, which only added to her anxiety.
"You two have quite the timing it would seem..." Wesker murmurs, The stare and shine of his dark shades bore into the two S.T.A.R.S officers as if searching for something. Rebecca was unsure what, but it made her nervous.
"Uhm- yes sir, it does. We were getting something to eat before we returned to the station. But we were waiting for you to finish your meetings...Sir?"
Rebecca replied nervously. She knew that it was probably best to remain as calm and polite as possible when speaking to Wesker, but the tense atmosphere in the room made it hard to keep her composure.
Wesker remained silent, a slight grin spreading across his lips. The silence was almost deafening and Rebecca was getting more and more anxious. But she knew she had to ask the question.
"Um, why was the office empty when we came in? And who were you speaking with?"
Wesker remained silent for a moment, but the grin remained on his lips as he slowly crossed over to his desk. Without turning around, he spoke.
"I was having a chat with someone who works for Umbrella Corporation. As for the office being empty, I can't have anyone interrupting such an important conversation, now can I?"
The way Wesker said "important" sent chills down Rebecca's spine, but she was more curious that someone from Umbrella went in to speak to the Captain of S.T.A.R.S.
Wesker finally turns around to face them and continues talking, with a subtle smirk on his face.
"And this person who worked for Umbrella said they weren't pleased with the behaviors of some of their associates. It was rather a minimum grudge so It wasn't something I or S.T.A.R.S could get into…"
"So if it's not important to S.T.A.R.S then why do you seem a bit troubled Captain?"
Richard asks him with curiosity but Wesker just shrugs and gives him a subtle smile.
Wesker then speaks up once again in a subtle manner with a hint of amusement in his voice to the two Bravo team S.T.A.R.S officers.
"I'm just troubled with how things are running around here. The ongoing murders, and the uneasy tension building up among the officers from the pressure of the civilians. It's a stressful situation."
"Do you think we can do anything about the murders Captain?"
Rebecca asked him once he was done with his statement. She was genuinely curious as to what kind of plan the Captain had in mind.
Wesker stayed silent for a few moments, thinking about Rebecca's question. He remained slightly amused as if he was contemplating how to answer her question.
Wesker remains silent for a while, contemplating Rebecca's question. He appears to be evaluating every possibility before he finally speaks up again.
"Chief Iron is making a statement and the possibility of intensifying RPD's investigations. Me and Enrico believe that possibly in the future… S.T.A.R.S might be involved, so as of right now… I am beginning to make preparations just in case it does happen."
He says, his reply sending a subtle wave of reassurance through Rebecca's body. She was feeling a lot more confident about what lies ahead now...or at least she was more hopeful.
With Wesker's reply sending a subtle wave of reassurance through her body, Rebecca felt much more confident about what lies ahead. She was feeling more hopeful now, especially considering that the Captain was making preparations for the future...or at least he was giving her that impression. Rebecca was beginning to gain a new sense of optimism even though things were still uncertain. She had finally received her answer and was feeling content.
"Anything else you have for us, Captain Wesker?"
Richard asks as he is much calmer now after hearing Wesker's plan as something might be finally down to those bizarre murders.
Wesker chuckles slightly at Richard's final question before speaking up again.
"No, that will be all for now. Now you both should head back to your quarters, I do not need either of you until tomorrow morning. Unless of course, you wish to remain here for some reason..."
Wesker had now crossed his arms with a slight smirk, Rebecca was unsure why he was asking them that question, but she was sure it was nothing important. They both nod and turn around to leave the office and go back to their quarters...
Rebecca felt even more content with the situation after hearing Wesker chuckle slightly at the end of his response. She and Richard both nod before turning around and heading back to their quarters. Rebecca was unsure what Wesker meant by asking them if they wanted to remain in the office for some reason but she was sure it was probably not important. So without another word, Rebecca and Richard headed back to their quarters for the night.

11:00 PM
SCP-049 and The female scientist Annette had reached a facility in Northwest Raccoon City. Where they will be able to help the associate that asked SCP-049 and Head Dr. James Lee with a Virus called *G*, However, SCP-049 was skeptical about *G* As 049 himself never agreed to work on viruses that didn't help or protect to the curing the pestilence. I thought working with this organization opposite to the SCP Foundation would help him with his research, but he is extremely skeptical as currently, they have done nothing to help him achieve his goal… Even Head Dr. James was more intent on serving this organization or rather…Certain Individuals, 049 regardless didn't want to continue with the thought of petty triviality from Head Dr. James… However, his behavior was most strange…as 049 remembers the Head Doctor to be much more… Tamer.
"It is strange... Head Doctor James... Before our conversation, in fact in the past... He was indeed calm and would listen to me... Perhaps it was his pride that got the best of him."
SCP-049 spoke calmly as Annette nodded back at 049.
"I suppose that could be the reason, but... The sudden burst of anger, the unnecessary punching of the wall... Oddly, such a calm individual would be filled with so much rage in such a short amount of time... Don't you think so?"
Annette said in a curious tone as she leaned back into her lab table.
"I agree... I would like my other associate Kuja although he is more rational and less impulsive which is of course due to him being a Professor for the SCP Foundation, but... His friend, Head Doctor James is an anomaly... as his calm and collected facade soon shattered in a fit of rage in such a short amount of time..."
After saying that, SCP-049 started thinking deeply about this.
"Even since your husband and our other leading associate was assigned to him… Strange things started happening… Including the death of Doctor James Marcus… A tragedy I have to say, but necessarily as he was a man with great ambition.
SCP-049's words suddenly made Annette a bit more alert as she now was thinking back at previous events that happened in the past, including her husband's assignment to Head Dr. James. She recalled a conversation she had with her husband on this subject and remembered what he said.
"Yes, my husband did mention Dr. James to me previously in the past... When the training facility used to be public, He mentioned how Dr. James came out of nowhere from the SCP Foundation and had suddenly become a leading associate… even to our organization when he was assigned under James Marcus. Strangely, he became so high in position so quickly, but my husband also told me that Head Dr. James Lee was working on his projects with the T-Virus—"
"What are you two comrades talking about?"
An intimidating voice came from behind them for SCP-049 and Annette, to see it came from the Russian Colonel…Their executive for the organization, but he wasn't alone as he had two bodyguards the two being the same size as the Russian Colonel, wearing white leather coats and being bald, however, they both had two different colored visors on with one of the right having orange visors while the one on the left had blue visors. The Russian Colonel Spoke again.
"I also heard the name of James Marcus."
The sudden appearance of the Russian Colonel startled them and both of them were visibly surprised despite his sudden appearance, but Annette quickly took up her composure and spoke calmly again.
"Well, we were just speaking of our fellow associates and my husband's assignment to the training facility… The fact that their friend and a leading assistant, Head Doctor James Lee had become a bit irrational."
The Russian Colonel looked at Annette and SCP-049 intently as the two bodyguards just stared at them dangerously.
"Ah, yes, Head Doctor James Lee... An associate of the former Chairman James Marcus. An anomaly indeed, but I assure you… His behavior is normal… Perhaps he is still upset with the death of James Marcus or maybe the incident that happened in Site-08 a decade ago that occurred around the same time."
Hearing the name Site-08 made SCP-049 and Annette gasp… While Annette never personally was there. SCP-049 knew that the facility was one of the SCP Foundation's main facilities until a large containment breach happened where the on-site nuclear warhead destroyed the facility. The exact cause of the mysterious Containment Breach is still largely unknown, but there is speculation that an enemy factor of the SCP Foundation the Chaos Insurgency was the culprit, however, SCP-049 wasn't sure if that was true and he felt the Russian Colonel knew the truth, but it decided not to speak out for manners, and also due a slight hint of fear he had for the Russian Colonel and his bodyguards with one of the blue visors looking at SCP-049 directly which made him slightly irritated.
"Colonel… Advise your henchmen… The Ivans to stand down…"
The Russian Colonel just smirked as the blue-visored Ivan kept looking at SCP-049 directly and the other two just stayed in the same position, staring at SCP-049 and Annette.
"They are here for protection… Just in case of anything… Unexpected things happen."
The Colonel just stared at them for a few seconds now, which made SCP-049 and Annette both feel uneasy as the Colonel spoke again.
"Would you mind if I ask you two where you are both heading right now?"
SCP-049 was getting uncomfortable by the presence of the bodyguards, specifically one of them who was watching him directly. It didn't particularly like having guards to be so near to it as the SCP had a strange feeling towards the Ivans. Annette then finally spoke with a nervous expression.
"We were just heading to a lab—to perform some... experiments."
The Colonel smirked and said.
"If I have to guess. It has to do with the G-Virus…"
"Correct..."
SCP-049 said with a calm and cold tone, while Annette's expression stayed the same, but she also was getting uncomfortable and anxious about what the colonel was saying. SCP-049 then finished what it had to say to the colonel as it spoke.
"But it is quite intriguing that you were to guess correctly… Perhaps you're already aware of what this 'G-Virus' is?"
The Colonel just chuckled a bit as the Ivans kept their positions and still kept their eyes on both SCP-049 and Annette.
"Yes, I am quite aware of that… Too aware to the point that you have questions about its legitimacy…"
The Colonel's statement made SCP-049 slightly freeze up while Annette became nervous. How did the Colonel know their thoughts already?
"...Do tell."
SCP-049 said with a bit of curiosity as Annette tried to calm her nerves, by keeping her hands folded on her lap and trying to focus her thoughts elsewhere.
The Russian Colonel just smirked now as he looked at SCP-049 directly with his icy blue eyes, he also looked like he was getting a fun time out of this.
"James Lee gave his concerns to a comrade of ours and he told us about this. You wanted to see ethical testing of the G-Virus…"
SCP-049 looked at the colonel with a hint of confusion but also remained calm and composed. What he said was indeed true, as the SCP had some concerns about it.
"That is true... I wanted to see this new virus be subjected to tests, to make sure that it doesn't pose a threat to all of creation and that it helps in my quest for a cure..."
The Russian Colonel grew a frown while the Ivans leaned closer to SCP-049 while Annette froze.
"SCP-049… You will do no such thing… We already have too many personnel… goofing off…
He then turned to face Annette.
"I already dislike your husband working on *G* as it's a distraction for the goals the boss has set for him… Same for James Lee, Kuja, your husband, and your other comrade. They all have been quiet… too quiet…"
SCP-049 seemed irritated by what the Colonel said, but Annette was more alarmed.
"You... Dislike my husband working on G?"
Annette looked directly at the colonel, clearly annoyed.
"My husband can do what he wants... Besides, he's the one who discovered this G-Virus in the first place."
The Colonel's eyebrows narrowed as he looked even more annoyed than before. It's clear that his patience was growing thin for the two of them, and Annette's statements were not helping.
"That is true... It was thanks to your husband that *G* was discovered and brought to this corporation, but your husband's goals have shifted from the T-Virus and our plans with the laboratory in the Arklay Mountains."
"Of course, his goals have shifted, his work now involves this new virus that he discovered and as a result of this, his focus shifted because of it. You're acting as if you want him to work for you all the time, it's completely absurd."
Annette's expression remained the same, but her tone had grown frustrated towards the Colonel.
The Colonel's eyes narrowed and the Ivans grew closer, now just a few inches away from both Annette and SCP-049, before the Colonel spoke again.
"Perhaps you don't understand me… *G* Is not a priority for him, you, SCP-049, or anyone. He and everyone must focus on the T-virus. A virus with the potential to change everything. Your husband is to complete whatever tasks he has with T as ordered by Lord Spencer. Remember who is in charge comrades… Or there will be consequences."
"This is exactly what we're saying. Your husband and the other research associates are to stop all work on G at once and focus on the T-Virus and any other studies that the organization may be pursuing."
The Ivans stood even closer but still kept a slight distance. The Colonel looked unamused, though his facial expression remained mostly neutral.
Annette stood up with a determined expression as she was not going to let the colonel be in complete control. Even with the guards getting closer to her, she didn't care as she spoke up to the colonel.
"I won't let my husband's work on the G-Virus be for nothing, the G-Virus has great potential and it would be a waste of time to just simply stop its development for a virus that is already too common in the world."
Annette's words annoyed the Colonel and the Ivans grew even closer to the two. The Colonel's eyes narrowed and the Ivans also seemed frustrated as they started to make low growling noises like a growling dog would. The Colonel spoke again with an annoyed tone.
"Enough… We are wasting time… G is just another form of the T-Virus and nothing more. Its development is pointless and unnecessary... We don't need it to complete our goals..."
SCP-049 looked at Annette as she was infuriated now, but it needed to calm her down as it knew that if she continued, she would get the two of them in trouble as the Ivans looked at them dead in the eye.
SCP-049 remained composed as it looked at Annette with concern and also irritation.
It then slowly looked at the Colonel and the growing Ivans.
It didn't like the idea of Annette putting herself in danger, not to mention she's not one to back down from any kind of conflict or disagreement. So, it would have to somehow diffuse this situation and fast.
"There is no need to get agitated, Colonel.
Perhaps Annette worded herself incorrectly... I don't believe my associate meant to disrespect you or your leadership..."
The Colonel just smirked and chuckled a bit after SCP-049 said that. The Ivans also began to calm down a bit, as did the Colonel. The Colonel seemed slightly amused by SCP-049 and what it had to say.
"Yes, perhaps, that is what she meant... Perhaps she didn't mean to disrespect me..."
"Precisely."
Annette said, with a slight glare at the colonel, though, she did look rather annoyed and angry with the situation. Nevertheless, she remained composed and didn't want to escalate the situation.
"Indeed, so no more talk of G for now... Let's go with the more important matters like the T-Virus... It should be your husband's top priority now..."
The Colonel chuckled a bit as the Ivans kept a close watch on both SCP-049 and Annette.
SCP-049 now relaxed and took in a breath.
"Of course, I'm certain my fellow associate will shift his focus away from G... And instead put his efforts towards working upon the T-Virus..."
It then looked down slightly to Annette as it tried its best to remain calm in front of her.
"Do be careful, my associate... You know how... Intense the Colonel is. I don't want to see you come to harm, after all..."
Despite SCP-049's concerned tone, Annette didn't seem to notice it. She remained silent for a moment as she didn't have much to say at the moment.
Annette looked directly at the Russian Colonel with a glare.
"I suppose the Colonel is right. My husband will focus more on the T-Virus, but I still hold on to my belief that this new G-Virus is worth something."
She then decided to remain silent and think through her next words carefully
"Perhaps once this whole Беспорядок(mess) has escalated. We shall see if the G-Virus is truly worth it afterward… But until then, your husband is to cease all research and studies regarding the G-Virus for now. If not, I have my orders to detain you and SCP-049 by any means necessary until your husband complies with Lord Spencer…"
The Colonel seemed a bit irritated still but was growing impatient, though the Ivans remained calm as they waited to see what would happen next.
"Understood, if my associate must stop his research on G for now, then by all means he will do so."
SCP-049 said and then looked directly at Annette to look for any signs of anger or tension between the two, but the Russian Colonel took priority in her thoughts.
Annette was trying her best to remain calm, but her expression revealed that she did indeed feel tense with the situation, as she was on the edge of saying something that would make the Colonel even more annoyed and angry at the two.
"Good. If either of you refuse to comply with orders, there will be consequences… As of now, you two are free to leave, but make sure that your husband has stopped the development of the G-Virus… He is only to focus on the T-Virus. Do I make myself clear…"
The Colonel then let out a sigh as he looked at the two of them, waiting for whether they would accept the order or not.
"Your orders are clear."
SCP-049 said before Annette spoke up.
"I understand, no more talk of the G-Virus and its development... I will make sure that this will be the case for my husband."
The two then remained silent but were waiting for the Colonel to acknowledge their responses with the hope that whatever they had said was enough.
The Colonel then let out a sigh and looked at both Annette and SCP-049. He seemed slightly irritated but was also satisfied with what they had agreed to.
"Good… You two are free to leave… I suppose I have no more reasons to keep you both here… Though do not think that you have won this discussion… It may have just begun… We shall see if your husband will comply with the order..."
SCP-049 and Annette nodded as the two left the Colonel and Ivan's bodyguards. Annette looked irritated and even pissed, but she attempted to keep her composure as she didn't want to have the same meltdown as Head Dr. James Lee. SCP-049 however was disappointed it was able be allowed to work on the G-Virus to help find the pestilence, but it still had curious questions about what the G-Virus was meant to achieve after he had heard from the Colonel that it was an evolution of the T-Virus…
"He will comply with the order since he has no reason to keep the research on the G-Virus going if it's going to lead him nowhere."
Annette was still clearly annoyed by the whole situation, but she attempted to remain composed as she walked back with SCP-049.
They both walked in silence for a bit, before Annette was the first one to speak.
"So... What exactly happened to James...? I wondered who he told about our argument."
SCP-049 paused for a second, as the thought went into its head. Kuja and James Lee who he associates with in the SCP Foundation work for this organization, but 049 has two more he works directly for… Annette's husband and another individual who was tasked to oversee a group in Raccoon City, 049 narrowed down to these two individuals and then he came to a realization.
"Hmmmm… He is planning something… but what?"
Annette gave a glare at SCP-049 upon hearing that.
"No matter... Let's just hope it's nothing that will cause us trouble in the future."
Annette's anger now started to grow, but she held it back as she continued to walk in silence with SCP-049, SCP-049 figured that Annette thought it was talking about her husband, but he wasn't a single bit. The husband was only part of the plan. Whoever is the 5th associate in 049's group, they have their agendas that James Lee, Kuja, and Annette's husband differ from 049's and this organization.
