Neville: Well, That was pointless.

Neville let go of his tail after saying that quip and looking at ohsaka intensely.

Ohsaka: Hmm.

Ohsaka merely said as the wind blew her hair to the side. The contrast between these two was clearer than ever. The way ohsaka nonchalantly blew off neville's comment. The cool Stoicism of hers vs his excitable intellectualism was exhilarating to see.

Ohsaka: I end my turn.

Ohsaka: By the way, my attack wasn't pointless, it set off your trap card at least.

Neville: Sure.

Neville replied as he took a card from his deck and began his turn.

Neville: You know, I'm pretty sure you're wondering why I didn't show up for von aries little gathering.

Ohsaka: No…. I'm not actually.

Ohsaka snarked.

Neville: The truth is that I had a 'calling' a calling to science.

Ohsaka: Oh, your just gonna keep going actually? Ok then.

Ohsaka rolled her eyes.

Neville: I had some wolves Come on our property.

Neville: They wouldn't leave. They just sat in our yard and began to eat our flowers.

Ohsaka: *Yawn* I was thinking that was going to be some interesting story but it was just…. Kind of average.

Ohsaka stressed while looking Neville in the eyes.

Neville replied as he licked his lips. He then looked at his hand, grabbed the card he drew and played It.

A ginormous anthropomorphic bird showed up. It was about 7 feet tall, held a large brown spear that could pierce anything in the heavens. On His back stood two large wings that were probably as wide as he was tall. Finally he wore armor that was stereotypical of this archetype.

Neville: Lets get straight to your calamity! I activate Lightning Vortex! By discarding one catd, I can destroy all monster you control!

Ohskaka: Ah!

Ohsaka meekly reacted as a giant lightning bolt came from the sky and struck her mechania twin flyer, causing it to explode into a million pieces. Ohsaka Was now wide open and could be attacked at will.

Neville: Ohsaka…. This is the start of your calamity!

Neville said while balling his fist!

Neville: Attack her directly Gaiodiaz!

He ordered. The beast growled, A sinister smile crept across its face as a dark feeling enveloped it. Gaiodiaz lurched forward, each footstep, creating a mighty thump as it did. His pace began slow until he eventually started to run. As he approached the machine, Gaiodiaz swung his mighty axe, creating a splinter in the air. The axe cane swiftly down the air and hit ohsaka's twin flyer, cutting it into two easily!

Ohsaka Flinched slightly but, this striking blow didn't seem to phase her.

Announcer: Oh! With that folks, Ohsaka's ace monster is gone. Can she recover?

The announcer proclaimed.

Cael: (This is getting rough for ohsaka.)

Ohsaka: I activate a card from my hand! Mechania Protector.

Ohsaka said, She flipped over a card in her hand, revealing it. She put it on her duel disk and a new creature began to appear.

An interesting being erupted from her card, it appeared to be a ginormous mechanical turtle.

It had a hardened shell, presumably made of metal. It had spikes on on top of its shell and on its sides. In its feet were spinning gears, adding to the mechanical effect. The protector was colored yellow and black like the other Mechania monsters.

Ohsaka: -I can also reduce one card's attack points to 0!

Neville: What?

Ohsaka: I'll choose Gaiodiaz!

Mechania protector opened his mouth and screeched. It was an 'nails on chalkboard' screech and it no doubt weakened the beast.

Neville: Nice trick but I have one of my own.

Neville ended his battle phase and continued with the rest of his turn,

Neville: I'll use Gladiator Beast Gaiodiaz's ability!

Neville: By returning it to the extra deck, I can summon two more gladiator beasts!

Neville explained. As he did so, Gaiodiaz turned into a ball of light which sparkled then returned physically to his extra deck. Then from his regular deck came two more monsters

Neville: Come on! Gladiator beast Alexander and Gladiator Beast Laquari!

The first monster was a huge beast. More specifically a lion. It was a huge creature that stood upright. It had heavy gold armor on with a hole to show off its jacked midriff. Its long lion mane stretched off the back off its head, almost like it was mimicating hair. It had no weapon, only using its bare fists to pummel its enemies. It was a powerful monster to be sure.

The other monster was of course, Gladiator Beast Laquari Which had already appeared before. Though he looked angrier than before.

Neville: Do you want to know why I keep talking about calamity's?

Ohsaka: Um…. no.

Neville: Well, Its because I view humanity's increasing encroachment of nature as one.

Neville: You and your machines…. They build factories, Houses, Roads. things we all use to oppress nature and animals.

Ohsaka: Again, I just see technology And machines as tools. Tools we need to move forward.

Neville: Funny the people who made the first gun or bomb likely thought of them as 'tools' and yet look where we are.

Neville said, his fist clinched, his eyes full of vigor. He seemed to care deeply about this issue.

Taka: Man, I usually don't like when duelists use their platform to lecture but neville looks absolutely feral!

Cael: Well, It's no wonder. He was raised by nature. Literally.

Neville: That's why I have to defeat you!

Ohsaka; You'll have a tough time with that, especially with your binary thinking.

Ohsaka: Technology And nature aren't at odds. They can work together.

Ohsaka: -And by your logic, we shouldn't have invented fire because it harmed people. You have the reasoning of a child.

Neville: I am a child… Technically.

Ohsaka: Well er, Technology is good is all I'm saying.

Ohskaka related with a slight smirk. His position and so was Neville's. The two had this duality that was hard to reconcile yet easy to see. I wondered if these two could somehow find some common ground.

Neville: I don't agree, simply put.

Neville: -And with that, I'll show you nature's wrath.

Neville: I'll fuse Gladiator Beast Laquari with Gladiator beast Lanista and Gladiator beast Alexander!

He exclaimed.

Cael: (A triple contact fusion….)

The three monsters turned into three shining lights. These lights flew up into the air and spun around for a bit before converging in a single point over neville. An even brighter light shone over his head as a new beginning happened.

A terrifying beast came from this light. It was a huge monster, Probably about 8 feet tall, and very bulky, stocky and wide. It was large tiger like Laquari, although with a large mane like a lion. It carried a large axe and shield, wore a succinct metal armor that covered its entire body and had a fiery aura about itself. This beast was a true warrior, a monster that wouldn't be taken down so easily.

Ohsaka: Mechania Protector's other effect activates. Since I used its first effect, it now returns to my deck.

Neville: Hm~ Hm~

Neville chortled.

Cael: (God, That monster.)

I thought while looking at the creature neville had brought upon.

Bonnie: Oh Golly. Miss Ohsaka is in trouble!

Cael: Yeah…..

Taka: What's your take on this, cael?

Cael: Ohsaka's big problem is the ability of these gladiator beasts.

Cael: Them being able to swap each other out at the end of the battle phase is so annoying for ohsaka. Each time she deals with one, another comes out either more powerful or having stronger ability.

Cael: -Not to mention the fusions.

I sighed as I stared at the television.

Taka: She'll have to pull off a real miracle if she wants to win this.

Cael: I don't think she believes in miracles.

Taka: So she says.

We said as we looked back at our screens.

Ohsaka Rubbed something out of her eyes. Perhaps it was the zeal of a passionate duel. Ohsaka was on the backfoot, She needed to pull some sort of magic trick out of her hat or else she would lose this duel

She drew a card out of deck and carried on.

Ohsaka: I activate a spell card - Polymerization!

Ohsaka said with a slight jubilance in her voice. Little did she know that she was heading into Neville's den.

Neville: Awooo! I activate Heraklinos' Ability!

Neville said after mimicking a wolf's cry. Flames began to appeared from heraklinos axe as it let out a deafening roar. He glared at the spell card before taking a drastic action. The creature swung its mighty axe and destroyed ohsaka's spell card and her hope.
