RENG! RENG!

The bell chimed loudly, causing their teacher to look away from the board in surprise.

"Lunch already!" He placed his chalk down and walked over to the old window "I'll just pop over to China for some mapo tofu. If anyone would like to try assassinating me, just call me on my cell." He waved them goodbye and then disappeared at Mark 20 speed.

And as he said that, the teacher left the place at Mach 20, leaving a large gust of wind behind him, causing the class to cover their faces.

Lunch came.

Some students glared jealousy at the spot the octopus once stood.

Damn him and his Mach 20 speed. Not everyone could go to another country for lunch and come back within ten minutes.

What's more, some of them've been craving Mapo Tofu too.

When the wind subsided Rio sighed and straightened out her clothes. "Let's see... if he's traveling at Mach 20... "

Isogai's shoulders slumped "...It'll take maybe to get to Sichuan, the home of mapo tofu."

Kimura buried his face in his desk "Guess no missile could shoot that down. Heck, that octopus even grades tests while he breaks the sound barrier!"

"Oh, really?"

"He even made a little drawing on mine."

"Isn't he a pretty good teacher, though?"

"It is!" Kurahashi exclaimed "I passed my math test thanks to your after-school tutoring!" The girl said as she remembered the time Koro-sensei gave her lessons... With her trying to stab him.

Mimura raised an eyebrow, sitting on his desk "Yeah, but... we are the Class E."

The room grew gloomier.

Okajima leaned back in his chair "Trying our best won't do much."

"Yeah..." Mimura muttered, with a collective nod from the others.

Nagisa just sighed after seeing the somber atmosphere surrounding the classroom.

After all, their class is a somewhat "special" place even though they are just ordinary students. Of course, except for suddenly becoming an assassin and having to kill the teacher.

It's true that Koro-sensei might be an octopoid super-being-not to mention their target, but for whatever reason, he's teaching them like any other teacher in this academy would. Likewise, they are perfectly normal students outside of the whole killer thing.

But Class E is a little different from the rest.

After all, in Kunugigaoka Academy, Class E was deemed as the loser class, the defective class.

Class End.

Nagisa quietly looked over at the rest of the class and frowned when he saw them all slumped in their seats, looking defeated, while reaching into the table drawer to take out his lunch box.

"Hey, Shiota."

The bluenette looked over his shoulder at Ryoma Terasaka and his two goons.

Terasaka had a mean look on his face "Come with us. We want to talk with you about our assassination plan."

Apprehensive, the bluenette complied, but not getting rid of the suspicion he had for Terasaka.

What kind of plan does Ryoma Terasaka have for him?

Well, he had to find out.

Outside the old campus, Terasaka began the conversation, much to Nagisa's dismay "Look alive little man, it's time to put our money where our mouths are and get this shit done!"

Nagisa nervously nodded his head, his arms resting gently by his sides as he looked down at Terasaka and his two goons, Muramatsu and Yoshida. Terasaka had been the leader of his little group since they were booted down to 3-E and even led Nagisa outside by the entrance.

The sun shone brightly and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.

Terasaka began again.

"So we know the octopus' face changes color depending on what mood he's in. Have you been keeping track? Give us the specks!" He pushed.

"Cut to the chase, Terasaka-kun." The bluenette retorted back "What do you really want from me? Surely you didn't call me here just for some small information."

Terasaka then grinned mischievously at Nagisa.

"Getting down to business, huh? Well, then, I have a plan, and you're going to carry it out."

Huh? Him?

"Me? What do you mean?"

Terasaka leaned towards him "Don't play the nice guy, Shiota. Remember, we are Class E, the rejects who didn't manage to keep up in this damn famous school… They call us E for "special". Every single day, we are sent to this isolated campus on the top of a mountain and they discriminate against us in every way as if we were trash."

Did he even need to state this obvious fact to him though?

"Worried about your transcript? Wake up, dude, we're 3-E! Everyone expects us to be thugs and murderers anyway. You know what the E stands for? End-of-the-damn-line. Think they shuttle us up here every day for the view? Well, sorry to burst your bubble, man, but society doesn't want us! When do nobodies like us have a shot at this kinda cash? Let this be your moment. Go man up and make a name for yourself!" Terasaka finished, surprisingly motivationally.

Terasaka put an arm over Nagisa's shoulder "Do you think us losers will ever have another chance to win ten billion yen? Let's get out of this abandoned place any way we can."

He picked up a small orange bag and dropped it into Nagisa's hands.

What the hell was this?

"Just don't ruin it, Shiota. Hahahahaha!"

Before he had any chance to ask Terasaka, the brown-haired bully had walked away laughing with his two goons, leaving him alone.

Nagisa opened the bag and was shocked as he saw what was inside.

A grenade.

Was Terasaka really stupid to hand him a grenade? Yes, indeed.

And what did he want Nagisa to do with it?

Throwing it at the octopus? No, he could easily dodge it at Mach 20 speed.

Stuffing it into a cake and giving it to the creature? No, too obvious.

Or maybe something like…

Wait… Terasaka has said it to him before that Nagisa himself had to be the one carrying it out.

Oh my god, he didn't mean that, did he?

Did Terasaka want to commit a crime, as that bully wanted him to do a suicide bomb attempt?

There is no way he would do that shit!

Although Terasaka's words kinda… made sense. After all, they were Class E, and doing this would make him a big name, right?

But thanks to Terasaka's words, some bad memories came back to haunt him.

"I heard that Shiota has headed for Class E."

"Ooh. Well, that's it for him."

"I better delete him from my address book."

"Same. I don't want anybody to think I'm on his level."

"Bunch of jerks..." The bluenette muttered angrily.

While getting lost in his thoughts, his concentration was then broken by a wind current that blew his nicely kept blue hair out of his eyes. He rearranged the pigtails he kept in his hair and looked to the courtyard where Koro-sensei was now standing with something peculiar in his tentacles.

Their Sensei came back from lunch break with a souvenir.

A real missile

No shit Sherlock. If one could say a fully functioning, polished and cleaned missile tucked on his back qualifies as a souvenir.

"Hello, there. I'm back." The yellow octopus announced.

"Okay- Hi, sir. What's with the missile?" Nagisa inquired, pointing delicately at the elongated bomb in his teacher's grasp.

"Just a souvenir I brought back from a strike force that tried to take me down over the sea of Japan!" the fiend spoke, proudly showcasing the 'souvenir'. It almost sounded as if he were proud of himself, somehow smiling bigger than what was his usual white smile.

Nagisa hummed in vague understanding "Y'know, it must get lonely spending your life in the crosshairs." He shrugged. One of the fiend's yellow tentacles arose with a single finger of the two upright as he came to contradict.

"Actually, it's quite the opposite! Reminds me of how amazing I am!" He exclaimed, confident as ever as the bell rings behind them.

Ego much, sensei?

"Now, inside for the fifth period, please." Koro-sensei continued walking on by as if nothing happened, looking dead ahead of him into the hallway.

Nagisa's brow furrowed, watching him slither away. Then his eyes lowered from guilt "Yes, sir..."

There's no denying that Koro-sensei is really amazing. He's confident and capable, powerful enough to make others stand up and take notice, even if they are trying to kill him.

However… He doesn't understand this…

If you're everyone's target for assassination, that means everyone recognizes your power... Such a creature like Koro-sensei wouldn't understand what it's like to have no one expect or fear anything from you or even acknowledge your existence…

"Everything I'm not, nor ever will be no matter how hard I try or how many chances I'm given… I'm just as invisible to him as I am to everyone else."

Nagisa thought while recalling his past teacher of Class D, Kensaku Ono, calling him an 'unteachable brat' and that 'they couldn't get rid of him fast enough'. It still stung for him to think about.

"Thanks to you, you damn unteachable brat, my evaluation is in the gutter...The only silver lining is that I will never have to see you again."

Unteachable brat, huh?

Well, maybe his old teacher was a worthless man, who didn't even deserve the title 'teacher'.

Nagisa looked at the bag containing the grenade and thought a little longer.

Maybe he could take a shot. After all, this teacher wouldn't bother to see him either.

He was just a loner, after all.

While he was walking to the campus, Nagisa didn't notice that there were two pairs of eyes looking at him. One blue, one red.

The bluenette walked along inside afterward, sitting next to Kayano in his assigned seat just as the bell rang for the fifth period. The fiend was quick to start the lesson.

Had someone told Nagisa exactly four weeks ago he would be accustomed to seeing a giant, three meter tall yellow octopus teaching him literature and bringing back multiple different types of machinery of destruction to teach them about nuclear history, he'd call the nearest mental institution and tell them one of their patients had escaped.

But alas, fate works in such weird ways.

"Alright, class. Your assignment this afternoon is to compose a short poem. The final line should read, 'was tentacles all along'."

"Huh?"

"Was tentacles all along?"

One of which, was the amount of creative liberty it's demanding to conduct a poem about 'tentacles' without it sounding vaguely sexual.

This gave him a lot of groans and confused faces in front of him. He continued nonetheless.

"Exactly! When you finish the assignment, kindly bring it forward. You will be graded on creativity, grammar, and overall beauty of expression."

"...The beauty… Of the tentacles?" Okano murmured, feeling her eyes twitch.

Yada tilted her head "Isn't that a topic of something… Obscene?"

"Oh, that's not it!" He then gave his example to attempt to ease the confusion "An example: Not the storm of garden snow, or flowers moving on, but what was growing there instead was tentacles all along!"

What?

What kind of poem is that?

If someone heard this, they would say: "That's garbage!"

Anyone sane would question why their teacher felt the need to torture them so.

And Nagisa was ecstatic to know that everyone in his class, at least, hadn't lost their sanity - "Was tentacles all along?!"

He could feel the shock of the sheer audacity Koro-sensei was demanding.

"The tentacles' beauty?! The only goddamn beauty I see is how good they are flambléd!"

It only made it more infuriating that the entire verse was grammatically correct and functionally descriptive.

Isogai looked annoyed "Do we have to write that it was a tentacle? Really?"

"Indeed!" The damn octopus was too cheerful for Isogai's liking. Seeing the signs that followed, he decided to sweeten the pot a small bit more. "You may go home when you are done! This should get those synapses sparking and imaginations slithering~"

Wow, congratulations, Koro-sensei, you just caused a riot in this class.

The whole class looked upset about it.

"How are we going to write about it?" A surprised Kurahashi asked.

"Oh, come on... Isn't some wonderful, slippery phrase coming to mind?" He asked as she moved her tentacles.

"Enough with the slithering!" Maehara snapped, which only made Koro-sensei wiggle the tentacles more.

The class was in a riot, and their teacher seems to be enjoying the chaos his ridiculous assignment is causing.

In the end, they are the student assassins and he was the teacher target.

Emphasis on student and teacher.

They still had to do the poem, though.

The octopus looked at the rest of the class "In the meantime, I'll take a little break" He said as he sat down.

Damn it…

Nagisa's head perks up, slipping the rubber green knife under the long clipboard that should've clipped his poem in place. The grenade necklace wrapped around his neck, which he covered with the clipboard after a failed attempt to tuck it into his soft, blue vest.

The blue-haired boy frowned… And stood up, catching the attention from his teacher and his peers.

"Oh, finished already, Nagisa-kun?"

From the back, that damn Terasaka smirked as Nagisa made his way to the front.

Kayano looked up warily.

Shinomiya raised an eyebrow at him… She couldn't help but feel like something was going to happen.

Nagisa slowly walked towards the teacher, secretly holding his knife while narrowing his eyes.

"Us high school losers always think that we have to get back at them somehow. We'll show our parents, friends and teachers that we can do it if we try…"

Shinomiya started feeling something uncomfortable. Why does she have a bad feeling about this?

Nagisa stopped in front of the teacher… And immediately, in a flash, he attacked the sensei with the knife, but the octopus grabbed his hand.

"Didn't I tell you to be more inventive?" Koro-sensei scolded him briefly as his other tentacle reached to touch the knife with a napkin.

However, Nagisa jumped towards his teacher with a smile.

"We have to prove ourselves… By any means necessary…"

All things point to this being right. Nagisa gives a soft smile, then jumps outstretched to hug him. His composure was still full even with a grenade necklace about to detonate around his chest.

Koro-Sensei looked horrified "Wha-!"

Without hesitation, Terasaka, with an evil smile, pressed the button with his hand inside his wooden desk.

The grenade exploded.

Pink B.B. bullets scatter off all four walls of the classroom, a loud bang ringing through the hall.

Nagisa had fallen victim to his assassination attempt as the force from the pink bullets would be enough to hurt just about anyone, including their unkillable teacher.

"Nagisa!" Kayano screamed, as their light-haired classmate was on the ground, passed out and trembling.

Shinomiya was taken aback at this attempt. What in the hell was he thinking?!

Where did he get off risking himself like that?! Was he wanna be some kind of martyr or something?!

"Aha! Ten billion yen, here we come!"

"We're rich!"

"Terasaka!" Nakamura yelled "What the hell did you do to Nagisa-kun?!"

The tension was as thick as syrup. Isogai and Maehara's faces were dark with anger, as did most of the others. Kayano and Sugino were glaring at Terasaka, Yoshida and Muramatsu venomously, occasionally glancing at their fallen friend with worry.

Meanwhile, Hayasaka and Nakamura had seen enough to know that Shiota was alive at least. The shock waves must've knocked him out, hard.

They're all lucky that that's the only thing that happened to him.

Tersaka grinned while looking at the damage with joy "Bet he didn't expect a suicide bomber!"

"Hey! What did you give Nagisa?!" Kayano screamed again, the girl making her way to give Terasaka a good punch.

Shinomiya couldn't blame her, honestly.

If Nakamura and Hayasaka weren't busy checking the blue-haired boy for burns and impact wounds, the two blondes would've given that damn bully a good beating.

"Huh? A toy hand grenade, duh. I beefed it up with a little gunpowder, then filled it up with those stupid BBs. Had this runt here walk up to the octopus, and BAM!"

"Y-You… YOU KILLED HIM?!" Kayano shouted in anger.

Terasaka scoffed "It's nothing strong enough to kill humans, okay? My ten billion yen will cover your medical bills without a problem-"

"So you admit to attempted murder, huh?"

Terasaka looked confused.

"Wha—"

"Coercion. Illegal possession of black arms. Attempted murder. Modification of a tracked weapon model. Malicious intent. Harming of a minor. Blackmail and threatening a minor. Tampering with military-grade weapons. Possible breach of N.D.A. contract." Shinomiya calmly stated, still crouching next to Shiota, her tone of voice icy.

What Terasaka didn't know was that he had awakened an Ice Queen.

"Should I go on? You've broken at least ten different laws on weapon possession and violated a few human rights. Considering the fact that he's fourteen, and you're fifteen, you're liable to juvenile court and face possible lifetime imprisonment as soon as you become of age if he hires a half-decent lawyer."

Shinomiya was now seething on the inside.

She has seen this type of shit happening everyday in her entire life. But the sheer stupidity of this entire plan and the fact that none of the perps are planning to own up to it was pissing her off.

In this Japan, when someone commits a crime, they take responsibility if they get caught and know exactly what they signed up for when they decide to commit the crime.

While it's infuriating to see a guilty criminal walk free, at the end of the day, it depends on the system and the winners are the ones who know the stakes.

Ryoma Terasaka on the other hand?

He's just a tiny little baby compared to the monsters Kaguya Shinomiya has been seeing since childhood.

"Not to mention, since the fact that our Sensei's existence is a national secret and that stunt you had Shiota-kun do can be heard from the main campus, you might face punishment for that too. So add treason to the list of crimes you've committed today."

The silence was deafening.

"Everyone here is a witness, and none of us are cowards who don't want to get our hands dirty. This has nothing to do with us and everything to do with you. I'm sure you've long accepted the fact that you won't be anything other than a street rat, but I can tell that you don't want to be locked behind bars this early in the game." Shinomiya glared at the group of Terasaka and his two goons "Your choice, Terasaka. Yours as well, Yoshida, Muramatsu— you both can be seen as accomplices. Own up to the fact that you've broken federal laws, and would've killed Shiota-kun had he not been covered in whatever the hell this stuff is. At least then people will know you're actually mature and might give you a reduced sentence."

There was a pause, then a loud "BRAVO!" boomed into their ears.

A familiar yellow octopus came into view.

"Full marks Shinomiya-san! You were correct with every single felony dear Terasaka had committed!"

'Dear Terasaka' in question was now growing pale, while Yoshida and Muramatsu looked like they just saw a ghost.

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime, stupid cowards.

"That being said…" Their teacher's normally yellow complexion turned pitch black "Shedding once a month does have its uses, and my skin was just thick enough to shield Nagisa-kun from the impact of the blast. It's my once-monthly ace-in-the-hole."

Koro-sensei was now hanging from the ceiling with glowing red eyes, with wisps of smoke filtering around him.

"Now, I believe that you haven't read the fine print in that contract you signed, Terasaka-kun. You are also betting on the fact that my agreement with your government meant that I wouldn't be able to harm you should I wish to, correct?"

If yellow means normal, gray means blank, and pink means bliss— then black must mean…

pissed.

Everyone was scared, while some tried not to show it.

"What's your deal anyway?! Just showing up out of nowhere all 'I'm going to blow up the Earth' and 'Assassinate me!' like it's something a bunch of 3rd years hear everyday?! Of course we'd try to do something!"

Kaguya found herself getting increasingly frustrated with this meathead.

They have an unidentified creature severely angered right in front of them, who had proved he could kill them with a flick of a tentacle should he want to, and had only specified that he wouldn't harm them.

And even that isn't guaranteed.

Koro-sensei growled and then disappeared in a spray of dust.

Terasaka looked up at the ceiling in shock "He's gone-!"

A second later Koro-sensei zoomed back into the room like a tornado, dropping three nameplates on the ground.

"Ah!" Muramatsu backed away and nearly tripped while the others went as white as sheets.

"The nameplates from our house?!" Terasaka choked.

Koro-sensei had a whole sack full of nameplates, all of them with each students' family nameplate in them.

"Who said I would keep my word? As we've proven, not even a nuclear bomb might have a chance of annihilating me. No one in this world could hope of landing one of those BBs onto my being. I could also simply make the world go 'poof' right this instance. Nobody said I couldn't."

The implications seemed to have dawned on the thicker heads in the class.

"My agreement with your government only prohibits me from harming you, yes. But nowhere does it say that I have to follow. Nowhere does it claim that I couldn't, wouldn't harm anybody else. Your family, your friends, everyone you know— I have the choice to kill everything on Earth except for you."

It didn't take long.

Everyone understands now, what's at stake.

"Try another assassination like that one again, and I might just harm someone else."

They couldn't hide. They couldn't run.

They couldn't escape this even if they went to the bottom pits of Hell.

The only way out— literally— is to kill this thing by March.

"SO?! You're a real pain in the ass! What's wrong with using an annoying method to kill an annoying guy?!" Terasaka shouted.

Ah. So the idiot had spoken again.

"Annoying? Hardly. Your idea itself was a very good one. Especially you, Nagisa-kun. The way you carried yourself so naturally on your approach gets full marks from me. You did an excellent job making it past my defenses."

The damn octopus did a full one-eighty in less than ten seconds.

Kaguya wouldn't be surprised.

"However! None of you, except for Hayasaka-san, Nakamura-san, and Shinomiya-san who assessed the situation and reacted amazingly, looked out for Nagisa-kun— not even Nagisa-kun himself. Students like that aren't fit to assassinate anyone. We need an assassination worth smiling about— one to be proud of! You're all capable assassins who have that power within you. Just a few words of advice from your teacher-slash-target."

"You're all capable assassins who have that power within you. Just a few words of advice from your teacher-slash-target."

One minute they were being scolded at Mach 20, the next everyone got a tentacle pat on the head.

Nagisa stared at their strange teacher with a mix of admiration and uncertainty.

It wasn't his average education, but it somehow made him happy. All because this unusual teacher was actually willing to look them in the eye.

"Let me ask you a question, Nagisa-kun." Koro-sensei said lightly.

"I have not the slightest intention of being killed. I will enjoy my time with you all until next March, and then I will blow up the Earth. If you don't like that idea, what do you plan to do about it?"

Nagisa's eyes widened while having thought.

"We never assassinated anyone before, and there's plenty of other stuff we should be doing But, you know... I think this teacher might even accept my bloodlust."

There was a beat, before Nagisa broke it.

"Koro-sensei…"

"Yes, Nagisa-kun?"

"Before you blow up Earth, I'll kill you." Nagisa's voice was determined. He was smiling and looked more relaxed.

Some of the students can respect that.

"I'll kill you too." Rio piped up.

"So will I!"

"Don't count us out!"

"You better watch out, sensei!"

"Then what are you waiting for?" Koro-sensei chuckled, green stripes appearing on his face. "Once you've killed me, you're free to go home!"

The whole class groaned.

"Just like that, huh?" Toka snorted in disbelief.

Mimura slouched in his chair "You know we can't kill you!"

Nagisa just smiled, walking back to his desk. He looked over his shoulder at Koro-sensei.

After all, they are killers. And their target... Is Koro-sensei, their teacher.

What Nagisa didn't know was as he walked back to his seat, Shinomiya followed him with her cold gaze before frowning.

As for Koro-sensei, he moved at Mach 20 and started to polish the nameplates "Wipe, wipe, wipe it clean."

At the end of the day, Nagisa was now in his seat, thinking about what happened today.

In the end, he decided not to think about this anymore. He took his things and was about to leave.

At least, that was what he was going to do. Until…

"You're an idiot…"

Those were the words of that voice that made him stop, as he looked back, he saw Kaguya Shinomiya... Just looking at him with her always blank expression and her cold gaze.

"Shinomiya-san…" The boy commented "What-"

"Did you really do that?" She asked again "You tied yourself to a grenade with a grenade… And you went to commit suicide."

"I-"

"I know it was Terasaka's idea… But you were the one who decided to go ahead with this..." She shook her head "How could you think of something like that? What the hell was going through your head when doing something like that? Do you want to die?"

The bluenette sarcastically commented.

"Oh, wow… Did I worry you? That's new."

"I don't care about you, idiot. I just thought you would have even a little sense of self-preservation, but I see I was wrong." The black-haired girl retorted.

"..."

Nagisa stayed silent... It's honestly not like this will really affect him... It wasn't the first time someone made fun of him.

"Why exactly? Did it hurt you that much to have bad grades?"

What?

"What?" Nagisa finally said.

Why did she bring this?

"Isn't that why everyone ended up here?"

"That has nothing to do with it-"

"And what other reason would there be? So you were able to come to the best school in the country, you managed to make it to the third year but suddenly you fell here..." She scoffed "Someone who could have come this far might have been able to stay until the end."

Nagisa tensed as his eyes were glazed over and his hands were balled into fists.

That ice woman didn't know what the hell she was talking about.

She was about to cross a line… A line that she shouldn't cross.

"Shinomiya-san… You don't know what you're talking about."

"No? I mean… You weren't even able to kill the professor properly-"

"SHUT UP NOW!"

Shinomiya stopped when she heard the scream, however, her expression did not change other than her eyes widened a little.

As for Nagisa, how did he feel now?

Angry, frustrated, upset, furious,... All of those emotions.

Nagisa gritted his teeth as he snapped at Shinomiya.

"What the hell do you know about me?! You didn't have the slightest interest in socializing with me… In fact, you literally don't know anyone in the class, or because of the things they go through here… You think you know me or any of us?! You didn't! You are completely alone! ALONE!"

"... I won't be alone." She muttered "I'll end up married to you-"

However, Nagisa had heard all of that. He interrupted the girl.

"That was our parents' idea..." He remarked darkly, making her stop and look at him "It will only be by name...because emotionally I don't feel anything for you."

"Do you want to know why I accepted this engagement, even though I don't like it at all? It's because if you found someone you really love, this engagement would be broken."

Kaguya was taken aback at what Nagisa revealed to her.

"What? You... Are you stupid? That true love doesn't exist."

"I don't really care. That was the deal. The rest, screw it all. It's no longer up to me."

Before this conversation became more tense, Koro-sensei entered the room.

"Now now, you kids, don't fight." Koro-sensei reached out and restrained the two of them "Shinomiya-san, it's okay to worry about Nagisa-kun, but you don't need to call him an idiot. As for you, Nagisa-kun, I would appreciate it if you didn't do that kind of thing, don't you see that you're worrying your classmate here?"

Nagisa gritted his teeth but would eventually surrender and let out a sigh.

"Yes, Koro-sensei." He grumbled.

"Very well, now, I brought some dumplings, any of you want?"

"No, thank you, Koro-sensei."

"I don't feel like it, Koro-sensei."

"Okay, it's your loss."

Koro-sensei left the classroom, leaving the two some alone time. For their part, Nagisa and Kaguya remained silent for a moment, before Kaguya was going to leave the room.

"Just don't try to kill yourself, okay?"

"And you stop looking at me with contempt. I remind you that right now we are in this hell called: Class E. For the rest of the school we are treated as nothing more than losers."

Kaguya looked at him for a moment, before leaving the classroom, without looking back or saying anything to him.

As she left, she coincidentally met Hayasaka standing outside the classroom.

"Were you eavesdropping?"

"I was just keeping an eye out in case something happened."

"I see."

Hayasaka looked at her mistress for a few seconds before saying.

"Kaguya-sama, if you allow me, I recommend that you treat Shiota-san more kindly."

"I have no reason to do so."

"I remind you that since you and him are now engaged, I suggest that you both treat each other with respect."

"... I'll try…"

"Very well, if you need anything you can ask me."

With that, the two of them would leave the building. As they left, Kaguya was having thoughts in her mind.

Was she really the wrong one in this conversation with Nagisa?

Yes.

In fact, Kaguya not only made fun of what he did, but also the fact that he failed in it.

To add to this injury, she brought up the fact that Nagisa was in Class E and the reason why he ended up there.

She really had crossed a line in the sand.

A line that she shouldn't have.

He was right… She knew nothing about him or anyone in this Class 3-E.

When she heard about her engagement, her first thought was that it was a hassle, and her second thought was that it was too early for her to get engaged. The third thing was that the other person was someone who she hadn't met before.

To be honest, she was not really into it, but just asking him to refuse was a waste of time, so she was only thinking about how to destroy him.

And Kaguya did it. She had successfully destroyed Nagisa, but at what cost?

She had made their relationship become more tense than ever.

And what was she feeling right now? Nothing, but guilt.

She was guilty.

She didn't mean to hurt Nagisa, but was what he said before true?

Will she find someone she likes in the future?

Maybe that's probably why she has high expectations for her fiancée, whom she hasn't even met yet...

She has high hopes for this person… As he cares a little about her, willing to break this engagement for her happiness… Even though she knows he'll be gone soon anyway, she has high hopes for him this time.

That's who Kaguya Shinomiya was now: Someone who was hungry for genuine love.

And maybe she would find it… Whether it's within Nagisa Shiota or someone else.
