Next up is our Scarlet Speedster from the Arrowverse!
"What is your full name?" Tina asked her next interviewee.
"Bartholomew Henry Allen," he answered.
"Do you have any nicknames?"
"Uh, everyone calls me Barry, which is short for Bartholomew. Also, my foster father and my friend Eddie call me 'Barr' at times."
"What do you prefer to be called?"
"Barry."
"How old are you?"
"Thirty-five."
"How tall are you?"
"Six-two."
"What color is your hair?"
"Dark Brown," Barry answered with a frown, wondering why the interviewer asked that particular question since she could see his hair.
"What color are your eyes?"
"Hazel."
"How is your body built? For example, are you skinny, average, muscular, stocky, or overweight?"
"Definitely skinny."
"What planet are you from?"
"Earth."
"What species are you?"
"Meta-human."
"Which Earth is your home universe?"
"Before the Crisis, it was Earth-1, but after the Crisis, it's Earth-4, which is the original Earths 1 and 38 merged into a single universe."
"What are your parents' names?"
"Henry and Nora Allen."
"Describe your relationship with your parents."
"My parents are great," Barry answered with smile before his mood turned gloomy. "Well, was in my mom's case, since she was murdered by my greatest enemy when I was eleven. My dad was murdered by my second greatest enemy in the pre-Crisis version of reality, but, thankfully, that didn't happen in this new reality since we defeated Zoom sooner. Because my mom's death was a fixed point in the timeline of my Earth, that event couldn't be changed."
"Do you have any siblings?"
"The closest I have to a sibling is my foster sister Iris West, whose father Joe took me in after my father was imprisoned for my mom's murder."
"Do you have a significant other? If yes, who is it and how did you two meet?"
"I do," Barry nodded with a grin. "My wife Kara Danvers. I met her after my Earth-21 counterpart and I accidentally traveled to her Earth. I saw her falling from a building, so I caught her, not knowing that the impact wouldn't have killed her even if she'd landed on the ground. Still, I did save her in a way, since her secret identity would've most likely been exposed if I hadn't been there. Our meeting happened the same way post-Crisis, except Kara and I exist on the same Earth."
"Are you two married?"
"We've been married since May 2019, which is over five and a half years now."
"Do you have children?"
"Definitely," Barry smiled fondly at the thought of his and Kara's two-year-old twins. "Our twins, Nora Alura Danvers-Allen and Bart Henry Danvers-Allen."
"Do you have any previous relationships?"
"I do," Barry nodded. "There was Becky Cooper from high school. Let's just say that's the one relationship I wish I could forget ever happened. Then there was Linda Park, whom I dated for some time during my first year as The Flash." He smiled fondly at the thought of his next girlfriend. "There was also Patty Spivot, whom I dated the following year. I dated Iris for a while too, but that was only in the old reality. In the end, Kara was the one I was meant to spend the rest of my life with."
"Do you have any best friends? If yes, how long have you known them?"
"My closest friends are Cisco Ramon, Caitlin Snow, and Oliver Queen," Barry began. "I've known the former two for over a decade now. They were by my side when I woke up from my coma and discovered my super-speed. As for Ollie, I met him almost a year earlier and, after I became The Flash, he became my mentor who's like a big brother to me."
"Who are three living people that you love more than life itself?"
"Nora, Bart, and Kara, of course," Barry answered. His father would be the fourth answer.
"Who is the person in your life, living or deceased, do you consider your role model?"
"Definitely my dad," Barry answered with a proud grin. "Despite spending over fifteen years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, he stayed strong throughout the whole ordeal and continued to be the good, honest, and supportive man that he always was. He was even rightfully against me changing the timeline to save Mom, even though it would've meant his wife would still be alive and he never would've gone to prison in the first place."
"Who is the most annoying person to you, and why?"
"Eobard Thawne, without a doubt," Barry answered, anger evident in his voice as he spoke the name of his greatest enemy. "There is no one else in the entire Multiverse that I despise more than the man who dedicated his life to putting me and people I care about through hell. Not even Zoom, and that says a lot."
"What superpowers do you possess?"
"Super-speed is the obvious one," Barry began. "On top of speed, I can heal from injuries within hours, generate Speed Force lightning from my body, create powerful vortexes of wind, even in the form of a tornadoes, vibrate through solid objects, basically becoming intangible, create speed mirages and time remnants, and survive blows or falls from great heights that would either seriously injure or even kill a non-meta-human. I can also travel through time and to other dimensions, as well as occasionally enter a mode known as 'Flash time', where everything around me is completely frozen as if time itself is standing still."
Tina nodded, taking all of that in. "Which superpower do you feel comes in handy the most?"
"Obviously, the super-speed itself, but the fact that I heal fast comes in handy a lot too."
"How did you get your powers?"
"I was struck by a bolt of lightning during the Particle Accelerator explosion and ended up in a coma for nine months," Barry explained. "When I woke up, I had super-speed."
"Who is the first person you've shown your powers to?"
"Cisco, Caitlin, and Thawne," Barry answered.
"Have you misused your powers in any way?"
"I have, when I traveled back in time and saved my mom, resulting in the alternate timeline called Flashpoint," Barry recalled. "But it didn't happen in this new reality."
"Have you ever used your powers for personal gain?"
"Only if you count using my speed to get tasks done a lot faster than I would without it."
"Have you ever lost your powers before?"
"It happened a couple of times," Barry said. "The first instance was when a meta-human called Blackout siphoned my Speed Force energy, leaving me powerless. I lost my speed again when I had to give it to Zoom to save a friend's life, which is another event that was prevented in this new reality."
"Do you ever wish you didn't have superpowers?"
"Not at all," Barry answered. "I love being The Flash. The only time I would give up speed is if someone I love or any other innocent person was in danger and it was the only way to save them."
"Are you a superhero or a supervillain?"
"Superhero."
"What is your alias?"
"The Flash."
"How long have you been active as a superhero?"
"A decade and two months, to be exact."
"Do you or have you worked with a team?"
"I've worked with two teams," Barry answered. "Team Flash, which I'm the leader of, and my Earth's Justice League, which I'm the co-leader of."
"What city do you live in?"
"Central City."
"Have you lived there your whole life?"
"In this current reality, yes," Barry nodded. "But in the old reality, I moved to National City a year and a half before the Crisis."
"What is your occupation?"
"Aside from being The Flash, I'm a CSI/forensic scientist at the Central City Police Department."
"Do you like your job?"
"I love both of my jobs."
"What are three of your hobbies?"
"Singing, watching movies, and being a superhero."
"What is your biggest pet peeve?"
"One thing I hate with a passion is when an innocent child loses one or both of his parents at the hands of a cold-blooded murderer and have to grow up without a mother and/or a father," Barry stated, for obvious reasons.
"What do you consider your best quality?"
"My ability to inspire hope in even some of the most pessimistic individuals and always believing that, no matter how grim a situation is, things will inevitably work out in the end."
"What do you consider your most fatal flaw?"
"During my earliest years as The Flash, I had a bad habit of literally charging into dangerous situations without considering the consequences and it often resulted in me getting caught off-guard by my opponents," Barry explained. "But I grew out of that over time and it doesn't happen nearly as much as it used to."
"What three words do you think best describes your personality?"
"Heroic, selfless, and friendly."
"What is your favorite color?"
"Red has always been my color, even before I became The Flash."
"What is your favorite meal of the day?"
"Lunch."
"Do you prefer summer or winter?"
"Summer."
"Do you prefer reading or watching television?"
"I like both, but watching TV if I had to choose."
"Are you more of a morning person or night person?"
"Morning person."
"Are you generally introverted or extroverted?"
"Uh, introverted, I guess."
"Do you get close to people you've just met or keep them at a distance until they've earned your trust?"
"While I'm all about giving people the benefit of the doubt, after my experiences with certain enemies pretending to be my ally before revealing their true nature, I've learned not blindly trust just anyone who comes into my life, not to say that I would keep them at a distance though."
"Besides the Anti-Monitor, name three of the worst enemies you've encountered?"
"Thawne, Zoom, and Darkseid."
"Besides the Crisis on Infinite Earths, what is the most challenging fight you've been in?"
"On a personal level, my first fight with Zoom," Barry answered, wincing at the reminder of what the murderous speedster from Earth-2 (or Earth-10 in the new Multiverse) had done to him that night. "On a broader scale, it would be the threat of Darkseid and all his allies that we faced in this new reality."
"What is the worst injury you've suffered?"
"Zoom breaking my back during the fight with them that I just mentioned."
"Have you ever been mind-controlled before?"
"Not exactly mind-controlled, but there were two occasions where I lost control of myself, such as when a rage-inducing meta-human called Rainbow Raider whammied me and the time when J'onn J'onzz's father M'yrnn lost control of his psychic abilities, causing everyone who was in the D.E.O. at the time to lose their inhibitions."
"Have you ever been possessed by the spirit of another being?"
Barry shook his head. "Never, thank God."
"Have you ever killed anyone before? If so, how did it make you feel?"
"I killed a couple of enemies from another Earth back in my second year," Barry recalled with a sigh. "I don't ever like killing my enemies, which is why I always do my best to find other ways to defeat them, even when it seems impossible. But I wasn't in a good place at the time I faced Atom-Smasher and Sand Demon, as I was still mentally recovering from everything that happened with Thawne months prior."
"Have you ever died before? If yes, how did it happen and how did you come back to life? If no, what was your worst near-death experience?"
"The closest I came to dying was when I tried to get my speed back through the recreation of the Particle Accelerator explosion after giving it to Zoom, but I ended up in the Speed Force instead, which, again, only happened in the old reality."
"Have you ever been to outer space?"
"I have, quite a few times," Barry nodded, referring to his visits to Watchtower space stations on Earths 1 and 12, one of which he, Oliver, Kara, and the other Earth-4 Justice League members were considering building in their own universe as well.
"Have you ever traveled through time?"
"Most definitely," Barry nodded. "It was kinda my thing in the earlier part of my superhero career."
"Have you ever visited other Earths?"
"That's also a definite 'yes', more so than I've time traveled in fact, since going to other universes isn't dangerous," Barry said.
"How you met any inter-dimensional counterparts of yourself? If so, what are they like and how well do you get along with them? Also, which counterpart are you the closest to?"
"The first counterpart that I met was the Barry Allen from pre-Crisis Earth-2, who was not a speedster but an ordinary forensic scientist that was married to Iris," Barry began. "I had to knock him out so that I could temporarily take his place on a mission to locate Zoom, but after that, we got along fine. That particular version of me doesn't exist in the new reality, since it's Jay Garrick who is on post-Crisis Earth-10 instead of Henry Allen. But I do have a doppelganger there named Rudy Williams, who is the son of Jay's wife Joan, though he has a different father despite looking exactly like me. There's also Bart from Earth-1, formerly Earth-21, who, like me, is The Flash of his world and the first non-doppelganger counterpart that I met. He's the fastest speedster we know. Then there's Earth-5 Barry, who is few years younger than me and has both of his parents alive. Earth-7 Barry is not only the doppelganger of my father and Jay, but he's as much a father figure to me as they are. And, finally, the Barry Allen from Earth-22, whom I briefly fought during the Crisis since we were both determined to sacrifice ourselves to save what was left of the Multiverse. He won the fight, so he's the one who got on that treadmill and sacrificed himself instead of me. I'm happy he's alive again post-Crisis. Oh, there was also the evil me from Earth-27, which is more or less the post-Crisis equivalent of Earth-X. But instead of Nazis, our evil doppelgangers in that world were a group called the Crime Syndicate. And, of course, there was Savitar in the old reality, though he was a time remnant from an alternate timeline rather than a doppelganger from another universe. Thankfully, he never came into existence in this reality as I never created Flashpoint. As for which counterpart I'm closest to, I guess it would be Earth-5 Barry since he and I visit each other more than the others."
"Besides saving the Multiverse during the Crisis, what do you consider your greatest achievement in life?"
Barry smiled. "Finally proving my father's innocence and getting him out of prison."
"What is your greatest regret?"
"I'd say creating Flashpoint, but since that incident doesn't exist anymore, my answer now is not realizing sooner that Thawne and Zoom were posing as 'Dr. Wells' and 'Jay Garrick' respectively."
"What is your greatest fear?"
"Being alone in a world where all my friends and loved ones are gone."
"What do you believe is the most benevolent thing you've done?"
"Well, I saved the world countless times from various threats."
"What do you believe is the most immoral thing you've done?"
"Create Flashpoint, of course, which resulted in an immoral time remnant of me coming into existence."
"What is the worst thing that's ever happened to you?"
"In the old reality, both of my parents were killed by a speedster not just in the same house, but at the exact same spot," Barry said, gloomily.
"What is the best thing that's ever happened to you?"
Barry's mood suddenly brightened. "Five years ago, I woke up in a world where my father and the friends that I lost in the old reality are still alive, while Kara and I were already married. Then we became the parents of two wonderful children, which is the best feeling in the world."
"What is an unusual fact about you?"
"Despite being able to run faster than light, I have a tendency to arrive late at places, whether it's my job or some kind of special event."
"What is the most embarrassing or humiliating thing that's ever happened to you?"
"Zoom breaking my back and parading me around the city during my second year as The Flash is at the top of that list," Barry answered, wincing again at the memory of that incident.
"What is the weirdest thing that's ever happened to you?"
"I fought a younger version of myself once," Barry said, referring to when he had traveled back in time to seek Thawne's help in becoming fast enough to stop Zoom.
"Have you ever had a friend who became an enemy?"
"Well, I don't really count Zoom or Thawne since they were never actually my friends to begin with, so no."
"Have you ever had an enemy who became a friend?"
"Quite a few, actually," Barry nodded. "There's Leonard Snart, also known as Captain Cold, along with his sister, Lisa, and their friend Mick Rory. There's also Laurel's Earth-2, or Earth-10, doppelganger, who used to be a criminal before she redeemed herself. And I guess Caitlin's frosty alter-ego in the old reality would count too."
"If you could change one thing from your past without consequences, what would it be, and why?"
"Obviously, my mom's death, but, unfortunately, changing that event in reality would lead to consequences that could make some things even worse."
"If you could have an hour-long conversation each with up to three of your deceased loved ones, who would they be, and what would you say to them?"
"My mom is definitely the top choice," Barry began. "I would talk to her about everything that's happened in my life and all the stuff I've accomplished since the night she died. The other two choices would be either of my grandparents, just to get to know them while they get to know me."
"Do you believe people are inherently good or evil?"
"I've always believed that, when people are born, they start off pure," Barry answered. "But then circumstances, upbringing, and the environment they grow up in all play a role in determining how they'll turn out later in life. Over the years, I've encountered villainous doppelgangers of myself and several of my friends from other universes, and heroic doppelgangers of some of our enemies, so I'd say that people are neither inherently good nor evil. Anyone can choose to be one or the other."
"Do you believe everyone, no matter how immoral they are, deserves a chance of redemption?"
"Without a doubt."
"Do you consider yourself a good person?"
"Absolutely," Barry nodded. "Everyone who knows me would agree. I'm the man I am today because of my parents, my foster father Joe, and all my friends."
"Where do you see yourself ten years from now?"
"Well, I'll still be protecting the world as The Flash of course, while raising Nora and Bart alongside Kara just like I'm doing now," Barry answered. "Also, Kara and I will be teaching our kids how to control their powers, which I'm sure will have already developed by then, and that they should never use them in a negative manner. On top of that, I'll be an CSI instructor training young men and young women who are interested in becoming forensic scientists."
"That concludes the interview, Mr. Allen. Thank you for your time."
"You're welcome."
After shaking Tina's hand, Barry got up from his chair and exited the office.
