Chapter 13: A Grand Night Out & Saying Goodbyes
Later that evening, Sylvia and her friends were seen in the alleyway, getting ready for the Twin Dreams show.
"Okay guys, let's get ready for the broadway show tonight." Sylvia said.
"Great, but what can we do first?" David asks.
"The first thing we need to do is to get ourselves dressed for the show."
"Great idea, but where can we change?"
"Don't worry, my magical box can change us into new clothes."
"Wow! Sounds like a good idea!" Dana said.
Sylvia pulled out her magical box from her pocket. "Ready guys?"
"Ready!" her friends said.
Sylvia opened her box and twinkling stars came out of the box as the kids began to float up. The kids began spinning and their clothes were magically changed into their fancy outfits.
Tony's outfit was a white buttoned-up shirt along with light-blue jacket, a blue tie, light-blue pants and black shoes.
Dana's outfit was a lovely pink dress, long-white socks and pink shoes.
Steve's outfit was a white buttoned-up shirt along with a red jacket and a tie, red pants and black shoes.
David's outfit was a white buttoned-up shirt, a light-yellow jacket and a yellow tie, yellow pants and black shoes.
And Sylvia's outfit was a lovely purple dress, white long-socks and pretty purple shoes.
The kids slowly lands on their feet and looks at their fancy outfits.
"Wow, look at my outfit!" Steve said.
"I like it!" Tony said.
"My dress is beautiful," said Dana.
"Mine's yellow," said David.
"I wish I had a red one, but it's good on me!" Sylvia said.
"It's all ready for our perfect night at Twin Dreams."
"Yeah, we'll meet up with Elliot and Claris at the entrance."
"Come on, to the Seeds Tower!"
Sylvia and her friends ran out of the alleyway and starts heading towards the Seeds Tower.
Back at Elliot's Apartment, Elliot got himself ready for the show wearing his white-collar shirt, blue pants and white shoes as he looked in the mirror.
"Looking pretty good, Elliot. Getting ready for tonight's show." Elliot said to himself.
Elliot then began to imagine that he saw a reflection of NiGHTS staring at him with a smile on their face.
"Elliot! Are you're ready yet?" his mother called him.
Elliot snapped out of his fantasy when he heard his mother calling out.
"I'm almost ready!" Elliot called back.
Elliot then looks back at himself in the mirror. "This is it, NiGHTS. Me, Claris and my friends are gonna hang out together."
Elliot left his room and finds his mother sitting on the couch of the living room.
"Look at you, all ready for tonight." Elliot's mother said as she got up and hugged her son.
"Yeah, I'm ready for the Twin Dreams show." Elliot said as his mother stopped hugging him. "Even my friend, Claris."
"Who's Claris?"
"She's my friend from another school, she's gonna be a star of a broadway show."
"Sounds like you met up with her while going to school."
"Yeah. But look at the time, got meet up with Claris and my friends."
Elliot started to head out the door as his mother waved goodbye.
"Bye mom, see you tonight!" Elliot said.
"Bye Elliot, have a great time." His mother replies.
Meanwhile in the dressing room of the Seeds Tower, Claris was getting ready for the show, wearing her light-green/white dress and white penny loafers as she puts on her white headband while looking at herself in the mirror.
"Okay Claris, you got this." Claris said to herself, she then began to imagine that she saw NiGHTS looking back at her in the mirror.
Just then, her fantasy was interrupted when the Director's voice called out.
"Sinclair, 10 minutes till showtime!" the director's voice said.
"Just a minute!" Claris called back and looks at the mirror. "NiGHTS, Elliot and friends… this is for you."
Claris took a deep breath and walks out of the dressing room.
Backstage, Claris' father was delighted to see his daughter performer on stage when Claris appeared.
"Claris, I'm so proud of you, you're gonna be a superstar!" his father said as he began to hug his daughter.
"Thanks, dad." Claris replied. "Besides, my friends including Elliot are gonna watch me perform on stage."
"Elliot? Oh, you mean that boy who goes to school with you?"
"Exactly, Elliot and I walked to school together."
"Sounds nice."
"Are you gonna watch me perform on stage?"
"I like too, but I have to take pictures for the newspapers about Twin Dreams and the Seeds' 100th anniversary."
"That's okay, but my friends are gonna see me anyways."
"Yes Claris, I'm sure that you're gonna be proud for them."
"Mmhmm."
"Well, gotta go take pictures for the show. See you on stage!"
"Okay dad, see ya."
Her father nodded and left the stage as Claris peeked out from behind the curtains to see the whole audience.
"Didn't see Elliot and his friends," she thought.
Meanwhile, Elliot arrived at the Seeds tower's entrance just in time and started to wait on his friends while Claris' performance is gonna start.
Elliot looks up and saw the Seeds Tower needle and starts thinking about NiGHTS.
"NiGHTS, I wish that you're here to see us." Elliot said to himself.
Just then, Elliot looks down and noticed that Sylvia and her friends are coming up to him.
"There's Sylvia & friends," he thought to himself.
"I'm so excited that I can't stop thinking about being hyped," said Steve.
"Me too, but do you think Claris' gonna be a superstar of the show?" Tony asks her.
"Yes indeed, Tony. Claris is gonna be fine, trust me." Sylvia said.
Tony turned to his friends and they nodded. "Okay, we'll trust you."
Sylvia smiled and David looked behind them to see Elliot waving at them.
"Guys, there's Elliot!" David said, pointing at the blue-haired boy.
Sylvia and her friends turned and saw him standing at the entrance. "Hi Elliot!"
"Hey guys, come over here!" Elliot called out, the kids walked up to him and gives them hi-fives.
"Glad that you guys can make it," said Elliot.
"Yes we did, but where's Claris?" Sylvia asks.
"She's on backstage, getting ready for her performance," replies Elliot.
"Oh yeah, can't wait to see her performing her song." Dana said.
"Yeah, the show's gonna be a successful!" Steve said.
"Now come on, we don't wanna miss the opening act," said Tony.
Elliot and his friends went inside the Seeds Tower and they sat in the front row of the auditorium.
Backstage, Claris peeked behind the curtains and saw her friends in the auditorium.
"There's Elliot and his friends, they're here." Claris said to herself. "There's my dad, there's Emma & Layla from school. Better get ready till the show starts."
And after that, Claris went backstage.
"Claris, I hope you have a nice singing voice," thought Elliot.
"So Tony, you told us that you and the boys heard Claris' singing voice too?" Sylvia asks them.
"Yes. We heard it from inside the music building before Elliot climbed up the garden trellis," said Tony.
"And you two said that you saw Elliot looking at Claris, right?" Steve asks, pointing at Elliot.
"Affirmative," replied Dana.
"Before he fell down from the window," said Sylvia.
"Man, that's gotta hurt." David said.
Tony then noticed that he saw Claris' friends: Emma & Layla are here to see the show too.
"Who are they?" Tony asks.
"That's Emma & Layla, her friends from school," said Sylvia.
"And who's that guy?" Steve asked, pointing at the man with a camera.
"That's Claris' father, he works as a photographer," said Dana.
"Cool!" Steve replied.
"Guys, the show's about to start." Elliot said.
"Oh, okay." Tony said.
And with that, the lights in the auditorium dimmed and the show has began.
A few minutes later, Claris took a deep breath and walks onto the stage.
"There's Claris," Elliot whispered to his friends.
"Yes, she's gonna sing for us." Sylvia whispered back.
Claris walked up to the microphone and looks at her father and her friends.
"Here goes," Claris thought and began to sing

After that, the audience cheered and applaud for Claris' amazing performance.
Elliot stood up and began applauding for his girlfriend's performance, Sylvia and her friends are applauding as well.
"Holey virtuoso! Claris completely rules!" Elliot said.
"Yeah, Claris' a great singer!" David said.
"She's a broadway superstar!" Tony said.
"That's our friend," said Sylvia.
"Who'da thought that her singing could be as amazing in real life as in her dreams?" Elliot said.
"Huh?" The kids asked.
"Oh, nothing." Elliot replied.
"That's my daughter!" Claris' father said he took pictures of his daughter's performance.
"I can't believe Claris' a superstar!" Layla told her.
"I know, she's awesome!" Emma said.
"Way to go, Claris!"
"You're the best superstar singer!"
Claris then looked at Elliot and his friends, her father and her friends from music class.
"Thanks, everyone." Claris spoke.
Later, the 'Twin Dreams' show became a sucess, her father had left home to finish his newspaper work.
At backstage, Claris' friends were giving hi-fives to her.
"Claris, we can't believe that you made a great performance," said Emma.
"You're a great singer, Claris." Layla said.
"Gee, thanks." Claris said, blushing.
"Hey, me and Layla are gonna celebrate the city's 100th anniversary at my house, wanna come?"
"I'd like too, but I gotta hang out with my friends… and Elliot."
"Okay, if that's the case."
"Maybe we can see you again Monday at school."
"Good idea, bye girls!"
Her friends waved goodbye as they left the theater and Claris decided to meet up her friends.
In the lobby, Elliot and his friends are waiting for Claris to arrive.
"I'm glad that Claris performed her song," said Tony.
"Me too, she's a star of the show!" Dana said.
"Claris had faced her fears by taking courage," said Sylvia.
"Don't forget about me, I used my courage to take on Roger's team," said Elliot.
"Precisely!" Tony said.
"And speaking of Claris, there she is." Steve said.
Elliot and his friends looked and saw Claris approaching them.
"Hi Elliot! Hi guys! Glad you can make it." Claris said, waving at them.
"Yes we did, you did a great job performing on stage," said Sylvia.
"And you didn't get stage frighting," said Dana.
"Of course I didn't." Claris said.
"So, what can we do now?" Tony asks.
Elliot remembered when he saw a carnival (that everyone is celebrating for the occasion) before he arrived at the Seeds Tower.
"How about we go to the carnival? That'll be fun during the Seeds' 100th Anniversary," asked Elliot.
"Good idea!" Steve said.
"How did you know that there was a carnival?" Dana asks.
"I saw everyone setting up the carnival before I left home to get ready for the show."
"Sounds fun," said David.
"It certainly is. Now, come on! Let's have fun together!" Claris said.
Elliot, Claris and the kids left the Seeds Tower and heads over to the carnival to have fun.
At the carnival, Elliot talks to Claris and the kids about his first time playing basketball.
"And that's when I knew I wanted to play basketball!" Elliot finished his story to his girlfriend and his friends "No way!" Claris said. "Yes way!"
After that, Sylvia and her friends told them stories about their adventures in different worlds.
"Amazing!" Elliot said.
"Sounds wonderful!" Claris said.
"I'm glad you guys like it," said Tony.
After telling fun stories, they started to get onto fun rides like the ferris wheel, which they can see the view of the city.
"Wow!" Dana said.
"Look at the city!" Tony said.
"It's so beautiful!" David said.
"It was. Look, there's the seeds tower!" Sylvia said, pointing at the tower.
"Yeah, it's wonderful!" Steve said.
Elliot and Claris looked at the Seeds Tower and starts thinking about their adventure in Nightopia with their new friends and saving NiGHTS inside the tower.
Then they got onto other rides like the merry-go-round, roller coaster, and the bumper cars, which Claris bumped into Elliot by surprise and making the kids giggled.
"Surprise!" Claris said, bumping her yellow car into Elliot's blue bumper car.
"Yikes!" Elliot said.
"Claris, what were you going!" Sylvia giggled.
"You almost bumped into Elliot!" Tony giggled.
Just then, Steve bumped into Tony & Sylvia in his red bumper car.
"Gotcha!" Steve said, giggling.
After the rides, Sylvia and her friends started to play carnival games like Skee-Ball, Pingping Ball, Ring Toss, Balloon Darts (like the ones they popped them in Nightopia) and the High Striker, which Tony had won the prize when he slammed the mallet down and ringed the bell.
Then they had ice cream at the food stand, Elliot had almost dropped his ice cream and Claris began to laugh along with her friends.
And after that, they took pictures at the photo booth. Elliot and Claris took theirs first, then Sylvia and her friends took two photos of themselves.
On the pier, Elliot, Claris and the kids looked at the stars above as they walked down the boardwalk.
"I had a super time today." Elliot said.
"Me too," said Claris.
"As in a matter of fact, we've finally met together in our dreams… and the Seeds' 100th anniversary day." Steve said.
"Yeah, but we're very sorry that we hid in the bushes from you," said David.
"It's okay, guys." Claris replied.
"Besides, we saved Nightopia from Wizeman and the Nightmarens." Elliot said.
"Yep, and we're very glad that you faced Roger and his team." Tony said.
"Yeah, and don't forget about you, Claris. You got the audition for the show." Sylvia said.
"Thanks," they both said.
"But what about NiGHTS? Are they okay?" Dana asks.
"I definitely think NiGHTS is okay." Claris said.
"But I couldn't help but wonder." Elliot said.
"And why's that?"
"Did we actually saved NiGHTS by making our dreams come true?"
"Only one way to find out!"
Claris then kissed Elliot on the lips as Sylvia and her friends jumped in surprise just like they saw in their dreams.
"Woah! She kissed him!" Steve said.
"Just like our dreams we had!" Sylvia said.
"Exactly," Tony said.
Claris stopped kissing Elliot, making him blushed.
"Claris, what was that about?" Elliot asks.
"It's to make our dreams come true!" Claris said.
"Oh… well, that's cool!"
"Yeah, but I'm so happy and I feel like singing!"
"Then how about a song that we've sung in our dreams?"
"Good idea!"
Sylvia hears this and she gathers around her friends.
"You hear that? Elliot and Claris are gonna sing!" Sylvia said.
"Yeah, but why don't we join them for a song?" Tony asked.
"That sounds like a great idea," said Dana.
The kids nodded and they walks up to their two friends.
"Hey guys, mind if we join in?" Steve asks.
"Certainly!" Claris said.
"Join in!" Elliot said.
Claris whistles out to the band and they began to play a song that she sang about.

During an instrumental, Elliot and Claris hold hands and begins to slow-dance as Sylvia and her friends watched in amazed.
"Wow, look at Elliot and Claris go!" David said.
"Yeah, now they're dancing through the air, just like our dreams!" Tony said.
They both stopped dancing and continued singing their song.

When they finished their song, they saw the fireworks shooting up in the sky and exploded in different colors.
"Wow!" They said.
"Look at the fireworks!" David said.
"Beautiful!" Dana said.
"Amazing!" Tony said.
Claris placed her hand onto Elliot's right shoulder, then leans her head onto his left shoulder. Elliot also leans his head onto her head, making themselves blushed.
After the fireworks show, it is time for Sylvia and her friends to say goodbye to Claris & Elliot.
"We had a great time, didn't we?" Claris asks.
"Yes, but I think it's time for us to leave." Sylvia said.
"So, you're going back to Santa Cruz?" Elliot asks.
"Yeah, but I guess we're gonna miss you." David said.
"Oh, okay. But we'll miss you too." Claris said with a smile.
"Thanks, Claris." David replied.
"We also had a fun adventure in Nightopia and meeting our new friend NiGHTS in our dreams." Sylvia said.
"Yes we did," said Elliot. "But I guess you and your friends have to say goodbye?"
"Precisely!" David said.
Steve walks up to Elliot and placed his hand onto his shoulder. "Hey, Elliot. If Roger and his team showed up again, you and your team have to stand up and be proud of yourself because you have courage inside of you."
"Thanks, Steve." Elliot said, hugging his new friend.
Dana walks up to Claris and holds her hand. "And Claris, if you ever get stage frighting again, just take a deep breath and listen to your courage inside of you."
"Thank you, Dana." Claris said, hugging her new friend.
After they hugged Dana & Steve, Tony walks up to the teens and hands out two pictures of themselves.
"Here, I want you two to have these pictures of us." Tony said.
"That way, you guys can remember us from our adventure!" David said.
"Thanks, Tony." Elliot said.
"And if the Nightmarens showed up in Nightopia again, NiGHTS will be there to help you two again." Sylvia said.
"Thanks, guys." Elliot replied "You five are the bestest friends that we've ever met!" Claris said.
"You're welcome, Elliot and Claris!" Sylvia & Tony said, bowing.
Claris, Elliot and the kids came together to have a group hug since this the first time they've first met.
"We're gonna miss you, kids." Elliot & Claris said together.
"Oh, we'll miss you too." Sylvia said.
"Tell your friends that we've left," ordered Tony.
"We will," they both said.
Sylvia and her friends stood back and started waving goodbye to Elliot & Claris.
"Bye guys!" They all said with their happy faces.
"Bye Sylvia, bye friends!" Elliot & Claris said, waving back at them.
Sylvia pulls out her magical box and opens it, then magical sparks came out of the box as they began to float into midair and disappeared, leaving two teenagers standing there while they continued waving.
"Elliot, I have to go home and get ready for bed." Claris told her boyfriend.
"Me too, I have to go back to my apartment and get myself ready for bed. We're still friends, right?" Elliot asked his girlfriend.
"Yes we are," replied Claris.
Claris:
That people needs friends!
Elliot:

Claris:

Elliot:

Claris:

Elliot:

"Bye Elliot!" Claris said.
"Bye Claris!" Elliot said.
They both started to head home in separate ways.
When Sylvia and her friends opened their eyes, they realized that they were in her room.
"We're home!" Sylvia said.
"Yeah, we're back Sylvia's room!" Dana said.
"That was a great adventure we had, isn't it?" David asks.
"Of course we do, David." Tony said.
"Do you think we're gonna miss our friends?" Steve asks her.
"I'm sure they will gonna miss us, Steve." Sylvia replies.
"So what can we do about our dreams?"
"I know, let's draw pictures of us accomplishing our dreams!"
"Great idea, Sylvia!"
Just then, her parents came into her and they were glad that their daughter and her friends were here.
"Sylvia! Where have you and your friends been? We were so worried about you!" Her mother said, hugging her daughter so tight.
"It's okay, mom. We had a great adventure together!" Sylvia told her mother.
"Yeah, allow us to explain." Tony said to Sylvia's parents.
"Well, it's almost dinnertime, so why don't you kids come into the dining and tell us about your adventure?"
The kids nodded and started to follow her parents into the dining room.
After they told Sylvia's parents about their adventures in Twin Seeds and Nightopia, meeting new friends, battling Nightmarens, and having fun during the Seeds' 100th anniversary, the kids left home and started working on their drawings about themselves.
David had made a drawing of himself baking an enormous cake, Steve made a drawing of himself as an olympic swimmer, Dana made a drawing of herself riding on an equestrian horse, Tony made a drawing of himself as a daredevil stunt, and finally, Sylvia had made a drawing of herself, wearing a beautiful red dress.
"Alright, that's perfect!" Sylvia said.
Sylvia placed her drawing onto the wall when her little sister Amanda came in.
"Hi Sylvia, what are you doing?" Amanda asks.
"I was making a picture of myself wearing a beautiful dress," Sylvia said to her little sister.
"Well, mom and dad has some good news for you."
"Really?"
"Yeah, they're gonna buy a lovely red dress, just for you!"
Sylvia gasped. "Oh my gosh, really?"
Amanda nodded. "Yep! That'll make your dream come true!"
"Sounds great… but maybe I'll think about it.
Sylvia then walked over to the window as Amanda stood beside her.
"What are you thinking about?" She asks.
"Oh, I was just thinking about our friends back in Twin Seeds," replied Sylvia.
"You mean Elliot & Claris that you and your friends told us about?"
"Yes, but I think we're gonna missed them."
"Don't you ever wonder about it?"
"Truth be told, Amanda. Yeah, I do wonder about it, sometimes."
"There are a lot of things you wonder about life, Sylvia. I just realized that."
"I got a lot in my mind, little sister."
"Well… I don't know it's personal but, is there anything else you wonder about life?"
Sylvia turned to her little sister. "I can tell you why."

When she finished singing her song to Amanda, she replied back to her big sister.
"That was some wonderful stuff you've ever talked about, Sylvia!" Amanda said.
"Ah, I'm glad you like it, Amanda." Sylvia said.

"My pleasure, anyways it's 9 o'clock. That means it's time for us to go to bed."
"Oh, okay, Sylvia."
"And don't forget, NiGHTS will be there to protect us in our dreams!"
"Who's NiGHTS?"
"NiGHTS is a purple jester who protect us from those hideous monsters called the Nightmarens."
"Oh… okay, well in that case, goodnight Sylvia!" Amanda said as she left the room.
"Goodnight, Amanda." Sylvia told her back.
She hops into bed and looks at the stars outside from her window.
"Goodnight, Steve, Tony, Dana & David." Sylvia said, feeling tired.
Sylvia turned off her lamp and fell asleep, thinking about their adventures in Nightopia.
Back in Twin Seeds, Elliot looks at the pictures of himself along with Claris & friends.
"Hmm, Claris Sinclair, eh? Better call it a night!" Elliot said as he puts away his pictures into his desk.
Meanwhile, Claris looked at the pictures of herself along with Elliot and his friends.
"Elliot Edwards, hmm… time to pack it in, Claris!" Claris said to herself as she placed her photos beside her laptop.
As Elliot gets ready to go to sleep, he looks at the Seeds Tower and he sighed.
"NiGHTS, I wanna say…" Elliot began to say something to his friend.
Claris looked at the Seeds Tower, far away from her room as she was getting ready for bed.
"…something very special." Claris finished the sentence.
They both said… "Thank you and our new friends… for everything we've done together!"
After that, Elliot and Claris turned out the lights and went to sleep.
At the top of the Seeds Tower, a purple jester who was playing their dream flute while standing on top of the tower's spire… was NiGHTS.
