The unatural plain of the demon world was a sight to behold indeed. But perhaps for the wrong reasons. Anyone who managed stumble with would surely have been horrified at everything they witnessed. No normal human would be able survive long because of the demonic occupants. They would surely fear and be annihilated by any demon that came into their sights.

Except for the two men who were currently observed their surroundings without a care in the world. Dante and Vergil both layed sprawel on the ground panting from another one of their competitive bouts. The twins sons of Sparda had come to a mutual agreement that the Qlipoth tree needed to be cut straight from the demon world. The two succeeded in destroying it cutting off portal access from any demons that will try to enter into human world through it.

They couldn't tell how long they've been here, sparring with each other and then fighting hordes of the underworld that would dare to interrupt them. Weeks? Months? Neither could no longer tell. Despite that however Dante could't help but feel a sense of happiness swell inside him. He had his twin brother back, hard exhales of breath the red coated half demon let out a small laugh. After a short period it grew louder to the point it echoed through out the entire area.

Vergil sluggishly sat up as he looked at Dante with an eyebrow raised. He wondered if being in the Underworld had finally caused him to snap.

Knowing he was probably going to regret asking Vergil decided to anyway. "What exactly do you find amusing?"

Dante casually waved him off. "Nothin' its just...we haven't had a fight without tryin' to kill each other in so long."

Vergil chuckled lightly at that, knowing that there were truths to those words. He recalled what Dante said when they faced each other at the apex of the Qlipoth tree. Saying that fighting was one of the most presents memories since they were children. From petty immature arguments to clashing of swords over ideals. It certainly wasn't something most families did. Silence then followed, both half demons lost in their thoughts.

"So...I've been thinking." Dante suddenly prompted.

"That usually doesn't bode well."

Dante rolled his eyes but continued. "I've been thinking that maybe when we get back I think its time for me to pass on the family business."

Vergil snapped his attention towards his brother who was looking at him expectedly. He knew Dante to know how unpredictable he could be. This was one of those rare times where he knew his brother was being absolutely serious, if the way he was staring at was any indication of that.

"Figured it was time for someone else to take the reigns while I'm still around to give it to 'em." The red coated devil hunter explained further when he saw the skeptical look in Vergil's eye.

A feeling Vergil had almost forgotten swelled within in his chest when heard those words leave Dante's mouth. After everything they had gone through he was still willing to save him. It was what family did for each other of course, look out and care for one another. Through the years Dante had not lost sight of that while he in his quest for ultimate power had. They had both lost everything but he spent most of his life forging bonds with others and creating a new family.

And one of those bonds was with his son...Nero.

All the while he was still wallowing in his greif and hunger for power.

Dante's signature smirk graced his face. "Thinkin' about your kid eh?" Vergil grimaced as he looked away. Hating how his brother was the only person in the world who could easily read him like a book.

Another round of silence followed. Dante watched Vergil who had a pensive look in his eyes. No doubt thinking about everything that had lead upto now. He remembered the same look he saw in Trish's eyes when she started working with him. Questioning whether or not she deserved a second chance after she lured him to Mallet Island. Even now he could see that she hasn't completely forgiven herself.

"He's grown into a good kid Vergil." The devil hunter said with an assuring tone. "Sure he's foul mouthed and hot headed but a good kid nonetheless."

Vergil lightly chuckled at the good natured way Dante said that last bit. While he wouldn't admit it out loud he wanted to see Nero again. While he spent his time here he would hear Dante tell tales about his son. At first he ignored him, not wanting hear anything about him since he already stated that Nero's mere existence meant nothing to him.

But of couse Dante never knowing when to shut up managed to take down the walls that he put up regarding Nero. He began to see his son in a different light beyond just being an inexperienced child. After all he managed to defeat him. He smiled genuinely, happy that he left behind a worthy legacy in this world.

"So when are goin' to stop loitering around here and head back?" That very question wiped the smile from Vergil's face as he turned towards Dante who smirked teasingly at him.

For the longest time they had been here the red coated devil hunter had been encouraging Vergil to open up a portal to the human world, mainly so he could spend some time and get to know his son. Well more like annoy. Whenever he saw his brother smile he would take that opportunity to insist that he would go see his son.

They had the means to leave the underworld but everytime he asked Vergil would stubbornly glare back at him, drop the conversation and they would continue their sparring sessions. Dante could tell that Vergil was nervous of seeing Nero again. He tried to hide it but Dante could read him like an open book.

And just like before Vergil was staring at him with a hard steeled look. Dante anticipated his desire to dismiss his question and so he decided to change the course of their usual routine.

"You'll have to face him soon y'know." He said softly but with a firm expression on his face.

That was enough to lesson Vergil's glare a little as he looked away. Truthfully he was stalling. He didn't know how to completely face this situation. While he had accepted his Nero's existence he was worried if he would accept his. After all he just met and discovered that the young man whom he had his arm ripped from it socket was his son. And sacrificed a huge population of people in order to obtain ultimate power.

Any son would disown their father from something like that.

Vergil nearly jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned his head to see his younger twin kneeling next to him, a kind and meaningful smile was on his face. "I know things will be rocky at first. But I promise, as time passes he'll look at you as a man who lost his way and found it. And not just Nero everyone will."

Vergil was definitely apprehensive of this. After everything he did would he didn't deserve to be in families life. But Dante was willing to give him a second chance.

"Do you think...I can do this?" He asked with a murmur.

"I know you can. Your a son of Sparda after all right."

Vergil chuckled at that as he considered his brothers words. After a whole minute he stood up which was followed by Dante. He unsheathed his sword and cut the air, opening a dimensional rift. He looked back at red coated man with gratitude filled in his eyes.

"Dante...thank you."

The younger twin nodded. "Hey what are brothers for am I right?"

And with that the sons of Sparda began to walk through the portal with Vergil stepping in first. Dante was about to follow in after but stopped. A cold chill ran down his spine like he was watched being by something malevolent. He turned thinking a demon was eyeing from behind but there was nothing there. He narrowed his eyes at the feeling. His instincts were telling him that this was no run of the a mill demon and somehow it felt...familiar. But of course it was just a barren area he was staring at.

Dante shrugged. Believing that being here and fighting for so long made him paranoid. Dismissing the feeling he stepped inside.

Well what do you all think of this idea for a crossover. I'm surprised know one thought of this. I just got into Guilty Gear and can't wait for Strive. Unfortunately I have to wait until the game is released so I can continue to the next chapter. So this a prologue chapter to start off the story.

I also need to more research on the series lore. I understand the general gist of it but other things like how characters use 'magic' and the backyard I need to learn more about. Thankfully those Wollie videos on Youtube are a huge help.

And also Justice League: The Feral Mutant, Advent Devil and this will be the stories I'll be currently working on. Once I complete one of them I'll work on other projects.

Anyway give constructive feedback on how to improve.
