Chapter 1: Spring air
Monday, Rosewood Forest, 10 a.m.
Everyone got up early. Some stayed on their doorsteps, enjoying the cool morning air. Others went for a run, having decided to maintain their physical form. Kurt and Aria have been up for a good two hours already, because they still had to receive the last deliveries which are in the process of arriving. The development of their territory is almost finished, but there are still a few details to be ironed out. In particular, the last furniture ordered which should arrive today.
About an hour later, a line of trucks began to arrive. They let themselves be guided by Kurt and Aria, because they are the ones who know where they can park. Some of these trucks were carrying the last vehicles that were due to arrive. They were ordered a short time ago, so that's why they're only arriving now. The whole pack came to help with the unloading, not wanting to leave the workers to do everything on their own.
Once the trucks left, Kurt stretched, feeling slightly numb. Indeed, spring is slowly beginning to settle in and the first effects are already being felt. If they are not sensitive to the full moon, they are sensitive to the spring. This is mating time for most animal species and werewolves are no exception. During the first two weeks of spring, their libido will be considerably increased, pushing them to want to reproduce. It is natural for a werewolf to want to ensure its offspring, and this period is the most favorable for successful reproduction.
Birth werewolves learn to control themselves during this time, and train their pack to resist these effects. It's harder for a bitten werewolf to learn self-control, but most do. So Kurt doesn't worry too much about it. The Omegas he has bitten have already passed a spring and there have been no problems. However, Aria is more concerned, as this is a first for the Omegas she bit. Of course, she told them about spring and the effects it has on them. But, she doesn't know how she will manage. After all, if there has been reproduction and it leads to pregnancy, it does not matter. Female werewolves know how to block their bodies to avoid unintended pregnancy, even during this spring period. So, if there is a pregnancy, it will be something to celebrate.
Children are very important in a werewolf pack. They are the future of the pack. Every such event is celebrated. If there is a pregnancy that is announced to the Alphas, it will be announced to the whole pack. Some women prefer to keep their pregnancy a secret, not wanting to be stressed. But, in a pack, it's almost impossible to keep such things a secret. An Alpha must always be aware if there is a child coming, and only he can decide whether to announce the news to the whole pack or not.
Aria sighed, feeling numb too. Spring has never really been his favorite time of year. She much prefers winter, so she can play in the snow, loving the contrasting white with her black fur. Kurt much prefers summer. He has never liked the cold and he prefers to bask in the sun for hours on end. Both sighed, seeing the pack go about their business. Kurt looks at Aria, who looks even more worried than before. Seeing Kurt watching her, she understood what he was thinking.
"Yeah, I know, I'm probably worried for nothing. But, it's the first spring for most of the Omegas in the pack, and I don't know how they'll react. I don't know how, me, I'll react. So far, they don't seem to be feeling any effects, but it's going to start soon. I know it, I can feel it. I know you can feel it too."
"Yeah, I feel it too, but I'm not too worried about it. It's a first, that's for sure, but there's no point in being too worried. All we're going to do, it's putting pressure on them and they won't know what to do. Don't forget that we also feel the effects, and that we are not immune to becoming parents four months later. We know how to control ourselves, but we also have the right to let go from time to time. I don't know what you think about it, but I believe that we are ready to be parents".
Aria looked at him with wide eyes, not quite believing what he just said. She finally nodded weakly, not really sure what answer she was giving. She never thought about becoming a parent, having a child, having descendants who will take her place as Alpha when she decides. In general, the child of an Alpha will also be an Alpha, and it is very often the first born. If there are several children in the siblings, the others will very often be Omegas. In very rare cases, a child may be born Beta. As a result, his instincts will be stronger than a human who has become Beta by biting. Some Alphas, who are far too picky, seek only birth Betas, appreciating their natural submission much stronger than a bitten Beta.
Aria sighed again, looking at Ezra, who was in the distance. Having a child with him is one of the most important things to her, but she never really thought to tell him about it. Now that spring is showing, she can talk to him about it and get his opinion. After a few seconds, she burst out laughing thinking about Kurt's comments.
"One of the things I like about being a werewolf is that pregnancies only last four months. We don't have to suffer as much as humans and not for as long. So if I'm pregnant, it'll pass quickly. Well, I have to talk to Ezra first. I don't know his opinion on the matter, and I don't think it's a good idea to end up with a child without he doesn't agree".
"Yeah, you're right. Go talk to him about it, and also let him know that spring is starting to come. That way he won't be surprised. For my part, I'm going to see how Blaine behaves. He recovered very well from Sebastian's attack, which is encouraging. I know him and I know that it marked him, but to see him like that is really encouraging. Besides, I think that this spring air is for a lot. If it is, his desires for reproduction have already appeared".
"I think that's it. I saw him hovering around Emily a few days ago. I know what he's doing and why he's doing it. He's looking for the person who's going to carry your child. I would say he made a good choice, but I'm quite surprised. He doesn't really know her, so I wonder why his choice turned to her".
"I don't know. I think he chose her because she's the most trustworthy, or the only one available. Either way, she doesn't seem to mind. "
"If it bothered her, she would have chased Blaine away. She didn't do anything there. She just accepted that Blaine chose her to carry your child."
Kurt nodded in agreement with Aria. When he saw Blaine start circling around Emily, he immediately knew what he was doing. Werewolves don't care about sex in love. For them what counts is the impregnation, which can happen at any time and to anyone. So it's not uncommon to see male or female pairs in werewolves. If the impregnation has designated them, it is because it is like that.
So, to overcome the fact that some couples cannot reproduce with each other, werewolves seek surrogate mothers or donor fathers. In Kurt's case, Blaine is looking for someone to carry their future child. Since Kurt is the Alpha, many are tempted to believe that he has to make this choice, but that is not the case. The Beta chooses the surrogate mother and presents her to the Alpha, who accepts or not. If the Alpha accepts, the two will mate with each other, leaving behind their DNA and thus ensuring that their child has everything from them. In the case of a couple of Omegas, the process is the same, without the need for the endorsement of an Alpha.
Again, Kurt sighed, feeling his senses heighten. Spring has always been a pretty tough time for werewolves, especially for those who haven't fully controlled themselves yet. Very often, the pack welcomes several children in the year, because of the spring and its reproductive effect. So Kurt and Aria's pack should be no exception, as it's mostly made up of young werewolves who aren't quite in control yet.
Aria sighed too thinking about that. After a few seconds, she heard someone call her name and realized it was her brother, Mike. He's been waiting for the bite for some time now and he seems ready to come and remind him that he's still waiting. When he wants something, he's the stubborn type and won't stop calling back what he wants. Aria got up from the bench she was sitting on and walked over to Mike, who stopped in front of her.
"You know what I want, you don't have to ask. You also know that I've been waiting a long time. The move is over, everything is over, you have time to take care of me. In fact, you don't even have to bite me or train me. Just give Mona permission and she'll take care of me."
"Give her permission? If we do that, I think she'll go and bite other people and we'll end up with a bunch of out-of-control werewolves destroying the city. So far, we've been lucky to find them quickly and that they weren't aggressive. In fact, they didn't know what was happening to them and it could have led to aggression. Besides, I wonder. Why didn't she bite you ? She bit people she doesn't know or even hate, namely Paige and Lucas. But you, she didn't do anything to you, it's weird".
"I don't know, she didn't even tell me she was a werewolf, until you ran after her because she got the bite illegally. It's true that she would have could have bitten me, and I wish she had. I asked her the question. She told me that she was blinded by anger and she had focused on the people she hates for hurt them. I guess she didn't know her bite would turn them into werewolves."
"Yeah, that's probably it. And, fortunately, because it could have been worse. In any case, I prefer to take care of you and make sure that you bear the bite and that everything goes well."
"That I bear the bite? I don't see why I wouldn't bear it. Are there people who are allergic to werewolves?".
"No, not allergic. But, in some rare cases, a person can not bear the bite and therefore remain human. We speak of bite rejection and it is quite rare. I was born a werewolf, but that does not mean not say that your body will accept the bite. If your body rejects it, it does not matter. These are things that happen".
Mike nodded and held out his arm. The air is chilly this morning, so it's pretty unconscious for a human to go out in short-sleeved clothes. Werewolves are not afraid of cold or heat. They can therefore withstand extreme temperatures easily. But, this is not the case with humans.
Aria sighed again, grabbing her brother's arm tightly and biting it quickly. As expected, Mike hissed in pain but looked happy. Aria led him straight to her room, not wanting him to get tired. He's going to have to go through the incubation period and it's not easy.
The whole time, Kurt had been watching him. He knows Mike, of course, but he hasn't seen him for a very long time. He doesn't seem to have lost his fearless and excited nature, although he seems a bit more withdrawn than before. He doesn't talk much with people in the pack, especially those he doesn't know. He much prefers to chat with his friends and chat with his sister when he has to. Maybe his new condition as a werewolf will make him open up more to others.
Kurt also got up from the bench and felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He got into the habit of keeping it on vibrate mode, his ringtone constantly surprising anyone who passed by. She often surprised the Omegas bitten by Aria, since they weren't quite used to their new hearing yet. Kurt smiled slightly as he thought of their reactions and pulled his phone out of his pocket. He smiled even more when he saw that it was Mercedes calling him. He had somewhat lost contact with her and had been trying to reconnect for a few weeks. He had justified himself with the problems the pack had been having over the past few months, but that didn't seem like a good justification for him. A friend never neglects a friend for any reason.
Once Kurt hung up, his sense of joy only increased. He went straight to get Aria, deciding to tell her the good news and get her approval at the same time. Mercedes decided to join the pack, deciding that her life in Los Angeles was far too boring. She doesn't necessarily want action, but she wants to live with people she knows and knows how to have fun with.
Kurt found Aria at her parents' house, busy instructing Mike. She didn't want her incubation period to go badly. She heard someone standing in the doorway of the room, so she turned to see who was standing there. She was surprised to see that it was Kurt, but his big smile reassured her. Nothing serious is happening, he just had to learn some good news that he wants to share with her. She asked him to wait outside while she finished giving the main explanations to Mike. Besides, Mike was quite surprised to see Kurt arrive in their house. But, in a pack, it's not uncommon to see werewolves going from house to house, not really caring who lives there. They are used to sharing everything.
Once Aria had finished explaining to Mike, she joined Kurt who was waiting for her outside. His excitement was felt by everyone who passed him, and most wondered why. He must have heard some very good news to be so happy and excited. Aria pulled him aside, wanting to chat with him privately. While this is good news, there's no need to let the pack know yet.
"So, what's going on? Joy is overflowing from you in waves, so much that you can only feel it. So, I would like to know what makes you so happy".
"Mercedes, a friend, decided to join the pack. I didn't expect it at all, but it's a very good thing. I had already asked her if she wanted to be part of the pack, but she said that she wanted to try her luck in Los Angeles. It seems that life in the city of angels is not so exciting. Anyway, she is flying out tomorrow and landing in Philadelphia at 10 am. Could you both go get her, unless you already have something planned?".
"No, I have nothing planned. And, I thought she was going to change her mind. You had already explained it to me and I felt that she was going to reconsider her decision. Obviously, that's what which she did and it's great. I think we can let everyone know that we're getting a new member in the pack. Well, two new members, but everyone already knew about Mike. But now, it's official".
Kurt nodded and went to gather everyone. Mercedes does not know everyone, but she knows how to integrate very quickly into groups of individuals. Then, the preliminary presentation with the pack will not need to be done. At last year's Nationals, the rest of the pack came out to cheer on the Omegas who were on stage, along with Blaine, one of the pack's two Betas. Mercedes was also in the audience and she took the opportunity to get to know the Omegas present. She seemed to have already made the decision to join the pack at that point, but she probably wanted to stay in LA for a bit longer, to see if she made the right decision.
It is not surprising to see that Kurt is very happy with this news. Mercedes is a great friend to him and including her in the pack is one of the things he wanted. However, he knows he can't force people. His Alpha status does not give him full rights, contrary to what some people think.
Kurt hurried to take the plans of the territory, to be able to find her a house. He does not know what his final choice will be, but already making proposals to her can be beneficial. Aria watched him go around in circles, unable to channel his excitement. The spring air has a lot to do with it, but the immense joy he is currently feeling also plays a big role in his slight lack of self-control. Aria chuckled lightly, but quickly went to help him before he knew where to turn.
Meanwhile, Ezra saw someone walking towards the entrance to the territory. He frowned, instantly recognizing the figure and the gait of the person. He let out a slight groan of frustration, which did not fail to alert the Omegas who were around him. They looked in the direction Ezra was looking and also saw this woman walking. She walked with a step that wanted to be sure, but she stumbled on the few branches that strewn the path. She also wore rather expensive clothes, far too expensive to wear for a hike in the forest.
Again, Ezra let out a low growl of frustration, which bordered on anger. He walked towards this woman, seeming to know her and not liking her presence here. The woman looked at him, sizing him up. She must have known him too and almost wondered what he was doing here. Blaine watched the whole scene and quickly spotted the similarities between them. This woman must be someone in his family, probably his mother.
Ezra took this woman aside and began to ask her various questions that remained unanswered. The woman didn't bother to answer. She was just sizing up Ezra, almost as if she didn't know him. But, the reaction that Ezra had on seeing her shows that they know each other.
"What are you doing here? I don't remember asking to come or even giving you the address. So before I get you out of here, I'd like to know the reason for your presence".
"The reason for my presence? It's very simple. I came to recover my son who is in the midst of a sectarian drift. My god, look at yourself. You have been full of anger since you decided to live like a savage".
"I live like a savage ?! Do you hear what you're saying?! As usual, you show no respect for anyone".
"I show respect to people who deserve it. Do you think you have earned my respect? I don't think so, because you deliberately disobeyed my orders. First, you decide to pair up with someone much younger than you and who doesn't have the financial means to follow you. And then you move
without warning to live in a remote place. A place that I would describe as repulsive by the way. I hardly dare to imagine what it looks like after rainy days".
The low growl, which lodged in Ezra's throat, grew louder as his sense of rage grew. He had never felt so angry, so enraged. Everyone around him feels the rage overflowing from him in waves. As a result, all were on their toes, ready to attack if they should. Blaine decided to step forward and calm the situation. He has always hated getting involved in discussions that are none of his business, but he feels compelled to do so. If he doesn't intervene, it could escalate and turn into a fight.
"Okay, listen ma'am...you don't belong here. It would be appropriate to show respect to the people you're talking to, even if you know them. I don't know the reason for your disagreement and it doesn't none of my business, but I suggest you find a more private place to discuss it."
"Great, a kid who thinks he can give me orders. Did you teach him that?".
Ezra just stared straight into his mother's eyes, still feeling the rage boiling inside him. After a few seconds, he saw her rummaging through her bag. She pulled out a big black wallet, from the Balenciaga brand. Ezra shook his head, knowing full well what she was planning to do. She still thinks she can achieve her goals with this technique.
"Very well, how much should I transfer to your bank account? The transfer will be done in a second and you can leave this place. You know that...".
"Oh yes, I know it. So far, no one has been able to resist your magic wallet which spits out astronomical sums out of nowhere. Well, know that I am the first person to resist it".
Ezra's mother froze at the sound of his sentence, having lost her speech momentarily. She cleared her throat, but didn't put her wallet away. Ezra smiled seeing that, and took a deep breath. He was preparing to make a big announcement and it didn't seem to please his mother at all.
« Listen to me, y'all. This is my mom, Diane Fitzgerald. As you've seen, she has the easy wire transfer, so I suggest you take advantage of it. Ask her how much you want to receive and you'll get it in the second, I guarantee it".
Diane looked at her son with an air of disgust. She also seemed afraid of being robbed by all the people present around her and her son. She didn't understand where she was. She just thought she was in the headquarters of the cult that enlisted her son. But, when she noticed that some people had eyes that glowed an orange color more intense than fire, she began to feel frightened. Aria joins the scene, deciding to have fun by scaring her even more.
"Oh my god, where am I? You're all werewolves, aren't you? You're one of them? Is it a virus?"
"Yeah, it's a virus. We've all been infected with a virus. By the way, you have one too."
"What...I have a virus?"
"Yeah, the virus of bullshit. This one, a lot of people have it, unfortunately. It's an evil that is very difficult to fight. There are no drugs for it, we have to live with. Finally, the carriers are forced to live with. We, it does not concern us in any way. Not against you, I know that you suffer from it on a daily basis and that it must be painful to live ".
"Oh, young lady, I see you have no hesitation in insulting adults and making fun of real fears and real plagues. It was you who infected my son with your bite. You turned him into a bloodthirsty monster!"
"I don't know what people are with the fact that we are bloodthirsty. As far as I know, it has never been proven. Besides, I would never have bitten him if he didn't want to I don't, and that goes for everyone here. Also, I respect my elders, that's what all werewolves do. It's one of the first things we're taught."
"You hunt, don't tell me otherwise. Werewolves are wild creatures that hunt for food. And, if a poor hiker passes by, they will be torn to pieces by their sharp fangs.
"Looks like the script for a disaster movie, but a very bad script. Well, we better stop there, because it's really becoming a mess. You have no arguments and you know it. You want just controlling Ezra's life, because he just doesn't suit you".
Everyone present started clapping as Aria finished her sentence, adoring her outspokenness. She doesn't hesitate to say things, even if she knows it's hurtful. Diane watched them and left, resigned to the fact that she couldn't change her son's mind. She drove off again and fell into a recent puddle, causing everyone who saw her fall to laugh. No one went to help him up, not wanting to deal with this hateful woman who shamelessly insults everyone.
Later that evening, Ezra was sitting at his desk, busy writing on his typewriter. He had insisted on taking it, because using it had a calming effect on him. Aria walked behind him and felt her instincts take control of her. Her eyes turned red and she went to tackle Ezra on the bed. Aria kept him from moving by having placed her knee against his chest. By doing that, she completely dominated him and her Alpha instincts loved it. She took the opportunity to touch every part of his body that was available, not even retracting her claws. It left huge lacerations that healed in seconds, so no one cared. After a few seconds, Ezra's phone started ringing, but he didn't bother to check who was calling him. He simply picked up his phone and threw it against the wall. He was planning to change it in a very short time, so breaking it is not a big deal. While he was doing this, he felt Aria licking up what little blood was still flowing. She seemed to be in another world, completely at the service of her instincts. Ezra was in the same world, being completely subject to his Beta instincts as well.
After this scene, the two got up, completely out of breath. Aria's eyes returned to their green color while Ezra's returned to blue. The two laughed almost hysterically, having realized that it was the spring that made them act like this. They suspected that something like that could have happened, but not so quickly. Aria looked at the fresh claw marks that were slowly starting to heal, a sign of Ezra's good health. Indeed, a werewolf that takes much longer than usual to heal is not in good health. If so, he needs to see a doctor as soon as possible to find out the problem.
Ezra having a good sense of smell, he quickly got up from the bed and went to a window. He saw that everyone had improvised a barbecue and the smell attracted him. He's always had a thing for meat, but being a werewolf has only increased his attraction. So he jumped out the window and sat down in the first place he found. He hadn't bothered to put on a t-shirt or even wait until he had fully healed. He heard Aria laugh even more than five minutes ago. She joined him less than a minute later and clung to him. Everyone realized what they had done. In fact, Kurt totally confirmed it and that's why they didn't call them. They didn't want to disturb them.
The next morning, Kurt was up early. He made an appointment with Aria, because they have to pick up Mercedes at the Philadelphia airport. His plane lands at 10 a.m, so there's no way they'll be late. Kurt gave Mercedes all the details, making sure her flight went well and that she was sure of the choice she made. Last night he spent two hours on the phone with her, asking her various questions and giving all the necessary details. He didn't want her to regret her choice once the bite was made. It's a very big decision to make and it has to be thought through. Mercedes reassured him and told him that she had thought about it very well. She also told him that this idea and desire had been floating around in his head for several months and that's what tipped the balance in his favor. She was tired of being separated from him and not being able to fully understand him. So she took the plunge and decided to become a werewolf and join the pack.
Kurt decided to take the common car, a large black Cadillac Escalade with matte gray and metallic accents, wanting it to be comfortable for the long drive they're going to have to do. And then, the large trunk is also practical for the possible large amount of luggage that Mercedes brought with it. She didn't say what she took, but implied that it needed a vehicle with a large trunk to be able to transport everything.
Aria joined Kurt in the car. She appears to have had an alarm clock blackout, as she seems wide awake and ready to fall asleep at the first opportunity. And, it did not fail. After a few meters, Aria was sound asleep, surely wanting to end her night. Kurt shrugged and concentrated on the road. They have a good two hours, maybe even more if there are traffic jams. That's why they decided to get up at 7am. They wanted to be sure to arrive on time, even if they were stuck in traffic.
Two hours later, Kurt and Aria arrived at the Philadelphia airport. When he parked, Kurt nudged Aria, waking her up. Of course, she let out a slight groan of annoyance and frustration in response to this nudge, but she got the message. She got out of the car and stretched, seeming to have a sudden burst of energy. After all, it's going to be a long day, so you better be in good shape. The two walked to the arrivals gate and waited for Mercedes.
After about ten minutes of waiting, they saw Mercedes arrive. She wore a big smile and dragged large suitcases behind her. They must contain all her clothes and all the precious objects that she wanted to keep and that she therefore took with her. Mercedes jumped to Kurt's neck, hugging him tightly. She reserved the same fate for Aria, who understood a little less this demonstration of affection towards her. She's not against it, but she just thought she was going to be a little more reserved, since they don't know each other very well.
Kurt, he was content to smile and he quickly launched into a conversation on the first subject that crossed his mind. He chatted as he walked, no longer paying any attention to the world around him. Aria laughed seeing him like that, but she was still on her guard. After all, they are in a very busy place, there can be danger everywhere.
Kurt helped Mercedes load her suitcases into the trunk of the car while Aria got into the driver's seat. She knows that Kurt and Mercedes have a lot to talk about, so she devoted herself to getting behind the wheel for the trip home. It was a peaceful ride with beautiful scenery to observe.
After another two hours on the road, they arrived at the territory. Kurt wasn't surprised to see Rachel in the parking lot, obviously eager to greet Mercedes. It's not surprising, either, to see Quinn going to yell at him. Their arguments had calmed down a bit, but the spring air seemed to make them come back ten times worse. They kept growling at each other and yelling at each other, so much so that several fights have already broken out. Luckily no one was hurt, especially Blaine. Besides, it's not likely to happen. Santana watches over him and growls at anyone who gets too close. She ended up realizing that her attitude was excessive. So now she keeps an eye on him from afar, ready to pounce on any intruder who has a hostile attitude towards him.
Mercedes was the first to comment on their behavior, not being very surprised to see that. She has known them for a few years already and she knows that they hate each other. However, what she doesn't know is the origin of Santana's overprotective behavior towards Blaine.
"Well, I see that there are things that haven't changed. On the other hand, I wonder why Santana is on her guard and why she watches Blaine from afar. Did something happen?"
Kurt sighed, not wanting to talk too much about what happened. But, it's a question he can't ignore. That's one of the reasons he's been so busy lately. He took Mercedes by the arm and led her home, wanting to talk about this in a more private setting. Aria followed, wanting to be there in case she needed to give more information.
"Yeah, something happened. Do you remember Sebastian, what he already did?"
"Yeah, he attacked Blaine a year or two ago. And that got him eye surgery."
"Well, he came back, two months ago. He kidnapped Blaine and tortured him, to answer his questions. He actually wanted the regional set list and he thought That was the best way to get it. He poisoned Blaine with a mixture that took away his healing ability. Luckily, it's only temporary, but it's going to be a while before it comes back. Blaine is still weak, but he has recovered very well. He just needs to rest. That's why Santana is watching him from afar. She doesn't want anyone else attacking him or getting him hurt again. It's just her Omega instincts that make her act like that."
"Oh, I... what happened to him? I know his father is a senator, so he probably managed to avoid prison, but what did you do with it?".
"When we found him, he understood our anger. Most of us hurt him while trying to avoid killing him. Besides, we could very well have done it. He represents a danger for the pack and we have the right to eliminate the danger. But hey, it's not in our ethics. He was injured and I think he understood the lesson. But we're not immune to him coming for revenge. He's tough and I'm sure he holds a grudge."
Mercedes nodded, understanding what happened and everyone's concern. She also understands, now, why Santana acts like that. She just wants to protect him from a madman who is still on the loose. This same madman who is likely to return because he considers that his work is not finished.
Kurt sighed again and moved on to a completely different topic. He began to give various explanations and information to Mercedes. He also tells her that he prefers to bite her tomorrow, so she will be in better shape. She traveled several hours today, she must be exhausted. For the incubation period to go as well as possible, the person must be in good shape on the day of his bite. It also decreases the chances of rejection of the bite by the person's body.
While Kurt was giving all the necessary information to Mercedes, Aria decided to go see how her brother was doing. His incubation period has just started, so he must be feeling pretty bad. Mike has never been very prone to being sick, so he's not sure how it feels. It is not surprising to see him curled up in his bed, seeming to be dying. Aria laughs seeing his brother's condition, seeing his dramatic side.
"You boys are so dramatic when you're sick. Just to reassure you, you're fine. It's just the incubation period that has started and you can't avoid it"
"I will die...I feel my soul leaving my body..."
"You're not going to die and your soul is not leaving your body. I've never been there, but I know it's very difficult. Don't worry, by the end of the week you'll feel much better".
Mike nodded weakly, burying himself under his cover. Aria left her room and returned to the central courtyard, where she saw several people talking to each other. She took a few seconds to soak up the feeling of well-being that invaded her. It's a feeling she hasn't felt in a very long time and it's good for her to feel it. Being around the people she loves, the most important people in her life, does her a lot of good. She knows that each person present feels the same, as they release the pheromones of well-being, meaning they feel good.
Kurt joined her, also feeling this feeling of well-being. He briefly asked Aria about Mike, but did not dwell any longer than that. He's fine, his incubation period is going well, so everything's fine. He also took a deep breath, feeling the fresh air warm up slightly. Letting your senses express themselves freely is one of the best things in a werewolf's life. It's something that a human can't understand, but can share by making efforts to do so. A werewolf is always ready to share his feelings, feelings and feelings with a human, provided that the human makes the effort to understand and does not criticize what he says. Sharing between a werewolf and a human is a beautiful thing.
