Chapter 1: New members…
Monday morning, 10 a.m., pack territory,
Several months have passed since Diane's attack on her son...
Ezra was finally able to reunite with his daughter and her pack. The corrupted werewolves hired by his mother left him with serious wounds. Which forced him to take his time to recover as much as possible. He keeps beautiful scars as a souvenir, which he doesn't bother to hide... He doesn't care if anyone sees them. He has nothing to be ashamed of! He was attacked and defended himself as best he could. The only person to be ashamed in this matter is his mother! She is the brain of the story.
After fully recovering, Ezra was finally able to get back on with his life. What he missed the most was training with the children. In fact, he likes to teach them lots of things so that they can get by when they are older. Seeing them so diligent during their training makes him proud. Additional mark of his great professionalism because as everyone knows, capturing the attention of young cubs for more than 5 seconds is not easy. Plus, kids love it! A daredevil teacher who doesn't hesitate to do complicated movements to impress them and make them laugh, what more could you ask for? Of course, he forbids them from reproducing the same thing without adult supervision. Teacher/friend but teacher above all.
The life of the pack was also able to return to normal. As well as the inclusion of new members. After several discussions, Kurt and Aria realized that some people wanted to join the pack without daring to ask. Knowing that a pack is a fairly exclusive group, the fear of being rejected is great. New impregnations are emerging, which seem to reinforce these new demands for integration. As soon as a werewolf is impregnated, the pack is quickly informed. The reaction of the principal concerned is a very good indicator. Indeed, this reaction rarely goes unnoticed, especially if it happens in public. If it happens in private, there is a greater chance that it will go unnoticed and remain a secret.
First impregnation noticed: Quinn. Every time she sees Puck, she doesn't let go of him. She sticks with him, calls him every day, ... Plus, he has just applied to join the pack. So many unmistakable signs! According to pack law, it is cruel to separate a werewolf from its partner. Puck's request will more than likely be granted in the coming days.
Second impregnation: Marley with Jake. Although he seems far from understanding all that this implies. It's true that he likes her but can't really know, for the moment, if it's more friendship or love. The motivation behind his request to join the pack is pretty basic. Like any good Male, he loves their strength, their class, their powers,… and wants to benefit from the same advantages. In his case, the request will also be granted not for his motivations, which are far from the right ones, but for the well-being of Marley.
Third impregnation: Mercedes. She is the only one to have publicly declared her impregnation. The lucky one: Sam. For her, it's not something we should hide. The reaction of the pack was not long in coming. Everyone is over the moon! They're already asking when Sam will want to join the pack without even worrying about whether he wants to. It is obvious that his answer will be: Yes. However, the possibility of a possible refusal is always there...
Fourth impregnation: Tina. Since Mike was still in love with her, the news of her impregnation could not have pleased him more. Only their common shyness prevents them from revealing it publicly. The responses will only be positive, they know it but do not yet feel ready to announce it to the rest of the pack. For now, they prefer to keep it to themselves. Fun fact, the pack already has a Mike, Aria's brother. Is it this particularity that made them accept his request or just their great affection for him,… Nobody knows exactly but he will indeed be one of the very new members of the pack, too.
The latest integration requests: Will and Jason, Alison's brother. For Will, it's more about a desire to be more connected to Emma. Better understand what she feels, including for him. He wants to share the same kinds of feelings and can no longer really stand not being able to understand her completely, even if he lives with her. Jason, for his part, wants to become a werewolf and join the pack for the benefits it can bring him. His great motivation is to be able to sculpt the body of a Greek god. Indeed, it is very focused on the physical. Although he never misses any training, he almost never manages to achieve the goals he sets for himself. Through this new condition, he hopes to be able to reach them and set new ones, even more complicated.
All these new requests for inclusion and these new impregnations are shaking up the pack a little, for the better. Welcoming new members is always a source of joy. It's an opportunity to meet new people, expand your circle and teach them new things. A pack as powerful as theirs has no size limit. On the contrary, the more members it has, the more easily they will be able to defend themselves in the event of danger. At the last census, there were 31 of them, not counting children. Counting them, they rise to 39. Of course, the pack is not immune to learning of new pregnancies, especially with the new impregnations and the imminent arrival of spring.
This period is the most favorable for successful reproduction, as well as for finding a partner. Indeed, most impregnations take place in spring, the mating season. In the pack, most werewolves are looking for a partner. The desire to have children is felt more and more, which increases the number of impregnations. Unofficial statistics of course, which leads us to believe that they were published with a good idea in mind.
Kurt decided to enjoy the air by going to the central courtyard. He was not surprised to find Aria there and decided to start a conversation about these new requests for inclusion. They hadn't really talked about it, because they're both of the same opinion, but having that discussion is also good. They didn't talk about the details of taking in so many werewolves at once. It's been a long time since this happened, they need to know how they're going to handle it and how they're going to teach them everything they need to know.
"Seven werewolves in one go, that's huge. Do you have any idea how we're going to handle this? Most of them I know and I know how they work. They know how to listen when they want, but I think we will have to regularly take them back."
" Yes surely. But hey, their new Omega instincts should quickly come into play and prevent them from doing anything. If they don't listen to their instincts, we will have to show that we are the Alphas and that they must listen to us. We will repeat it as many times as necessary. I know it's been a long time since we trained this many young werewolves at once, but we know how to do it. When we did it for the first time, it went very well. We didn't really have any problems, apart from regular arguments. And again, very often, it's not us who manage them."
"Yeah, you're right. We know what we have to do and how we have to do it. They should be calm and attentive, well for some. I know Puck is going to be agitated. It's probably going to take time for him to get used to it and to stop him from using his new powers to do illegal things. I know him and I know he will want to impress girls and look good in front of everyone. Let's hope that his impregnation with Quinn will calm his ardor, otherwise it could be complicated.
"If he doesn't calm down on his own, we'll help him do so. Calming a werewolf who only thinks about sex is easy. And, if he tries to challenge our authority, we will show him that it's not possible."
Kurt nodded at the end of Aria's sentence, understanding what she was saying and that handling young werewolves, barely bitten, is not that complicated for Alphas as competent as them. They have nothing to fear and already know what they are going to do. Start by biting them, letting them pass the incubation period quietly, letting them get used to their tail, ears, claws and fangs, as well as their newly developed senses. The last step will be training, so that they can master everything correctly and won't hurt anyone. Once all this is done, they will be able to fully take part in the active life of the pack.
Kurt and Aria had asked everyone who made requests to come to the territory. This is where they will be bitten and spend their incubation period. Indeed, the entire territory is planned for the arrival of new werewolves, whatever their number. The territory of a pack must always have enough to accommodate possible new members, because a pack is always expanding. She never stops growing, especially with the arrival of children.
Mike was the first to arrive, not wanting to be late. When Tina told him about impregnation and that this is what happened to him, he was a little lost, not really knowing what to think. Then, the question of joining the pack quickly came up, and he didn't really have time to make a coherent decision. If he truly wanted to be connected to her and feel what she feels for him, he must accept the bite and become a werewolf. Joining the pack where she is is just a no-brainer, because there are no other packs nearby. And, in general, an imprinted pair is part of the same pack, not two different packs.
The other people due to arrive arrived a few minutes late, probably having had difficulty finding the place. It must be said that the territory of a pack is always well hidden, to avoid intrusions or hunters finding it. So, it's completely normal for people to get lost on the road or have trouble finding it. Simple directions written on a sheet are not enough to find it and let's not even talk about using a GPS. This type of device is completely useless.
When Kurt and Aria saw them arriving, they went straight to meet them, wanting to know how they were doing and if they felt ready. It is obvious to say that most are a little afraid of what will happen, but others played the confidence card. This is the case for Puck and Jason. Both appeared confident and ready to be bitten, not really seeming to take into account the possible side effects, namely the incubation period.
This period takes place over the week following the bite. It serves to develop all parts of the werewolf, as well as their senses. During this period, the werewolf will feel unwell, as if he has the flu, which is completely normal. The transition from human to werewolf requires a very high energy consumption, which tires the person. During this period, the person must stay in a quiet place, rest the vast majority of the time and eat properly to cope with the changes. In general, Alphas keep an eye on things during this period, making sure that everything goes well and that the new Omegas cope well with the transition and changes.
When everyone who should be present has arrived, the first information can begin to be distributed. It is important that they know everything and down to the smallest details. This will allow them to understand exactly what is going to happen and how they will have to manage it. Thus, they should not have any fears or fears and will be able to prepare properly to receive the bite.
Receiving the bite is a fairly standard process, but the request is more complicated. You have to go through the Alphas, because they are the ones who will accept or not. In the case of Kurt and Aria's pack, all members can turn humans into werewolves, but they can't do it how and when they want. They must also go through the Alphas and ask them for permission to bite a person. Normally, it is the Alphas who take care of this, because it is in their nature, but they can leave this privilege to their Omegas, if they are sure that the person is right. In this case, Kurt and Aria will allow their Omegas the privilege of biting their partner, with whom they have impregnated themselves. Besides, Kurt was the first to speak up to explain the situation.
"Okay, guys, this is what's going to happen. You know that your partners have imprinted on you and this phenomenon has been explained to you. So, logically, you all must know what it is. They are the ones who will bite you and therefore transform you, except you Jason. You're not impregnated, but we're going to let Alison bite you, since she's your sister. Once this is done, you will enter what is called the incubation period. You will have to rest and wait. You will see, after a week, it will be finished. From there, your training will begin."
Everyone nodded, understanding the sequence of events. It's nothing very complicated, but it can still be. Becoming a werewolf, joining a pack, is no small thing. There is a lot of preparation to do beforehand and lots of things to know. But, they are well surrounded and in a protected place. There is nothing that can go wrong.
Once all explanations were given, everyone separated into their respective homes, finding that a private place is more conducive to a successful bite. And then, there is no need to have an audience. For most, it is an intimate moment, which will seal their relationship. They do not need to be observed during this time. The whole pack understood this and the Omegas with children sent them home. This is particularly the case for Spencer and Toby, who have difficulty channeling their overexcited twins. They are very curious, very restless and want to meet these newcomers, wanting to get to know them. It's their werewolf social nature that makes him act like this. And also, they wonder if these new couples will also have children. If they have children, that means new friends to play with and fool around with.
The young Alphas carefully observed their parents. When they grow up and take over leading the pack, they will need to know how to care for new members in the pack. It's their parents who will teach them this, even if, for the moment, they don't really do it. Liam and Ellie are far too young to learn how to care for young werewolves. We must not forget that they are only four years old. They are just learning to use their tails, to move them how they want and when they want. Now is not the time to teach them something so complicated.
The other children in the pack didn't ask themselves any more questions than that. New people are people they don't know, but they have plenty of time to get to know them later. Aiden, who is only two years old, does not leave his parents' arms, but seems to have recognized Puck, because he is one of his father's best friends, namely Finn. Lydia does not leave the arms of her big brother, Liam, because she is only one year old. Like most werewolves of this age, she already walks quite well and slowly begins to speak.
Werewolves learn to walk very early, around the age of one. It is around the same age that they begin to speak, although they have a very limited vocabulary given their young age. If they are able to do this so young, it is because they must become independent fairly quickly, to be able to flee in the event of danger. Of course, their human side is present, and this is what gives them this attachment to their parents, as well as their playful and almost hyperactive side and a fairly restricted autonomy.
The next day, Kurt and Aria went to see how the new Omegas were doing. It is not surprising to see them curled up in their beds, busy complaining about the unbearable pain. Mike, Aria's brother, was passing by and started laughing when he saw their state. However, Aria quickly put him in his place by reminding him that a year ago, when he became a werewolf, he was in exactly the same state and that he complained a lot more than them. Mike left, not without giving his sister one last look, not really liking being yelled at by her. He even punctuated his gaze with a brief grunt, the response to which was not long in coming. Aria growled louder, making him understand that he shouldn't do that. Looking down and realizing his mistake, Mike left.
Other than that, the incubation period seems to have started correctly. There don't seem to be any problems. By the end of the week, their werewolf parts should have appeared and they will be able to begin their training. This is what is likely to take the most time, especially if most of them are stubborn and not good listeners. It is not uncommon for werewolves to be undisciplined and do as they please. In this case, it is the Alphas who will be responsible for making them understand that this is unacceptable behavior and that it must stop. Most of the time, a simple verbal comment is enough. But, sometimes, verbal remarks are no longer enough and they are forced to make contact again. For example, bite the Omega on the tail or legs, without really hurting them too much.
Seeing that everything was going well so far, Kurt and Aria returned to their activities. They will come regularly to see how they are doing, but they are closely monitored by their partners. So, if there is the slightest problem, they will be notified directly. Relieved that everything was going well so far, Kurt collapsed into the first chair he found.
"I'm glad everything is going well, but who knows for how long. For now, they are just almost knocked out and don't know their new abilities. When they know them, some will try to test us, I know it. I know I always come back to this, but I'm still a little worried."
"I understand your concern. I'm a little worried too, but I tell myself there won't be any problems. We know what to do if they try to test us. Besides, I don't think they will, at least not like you think. If their instincts are working well, they should be discreet in these kinds of attempts."
Kurt nods, but he's not reassured. He doesn't want new people to start standing up to them. Learning the hierarchy of a pack is a significant step. If they don't know the hierarchy of a pack, they will not respect it and will do anything and will not understand why they are being yelled at. This is a very important step, such as learning to master their brand new abilities.
The week was coming to an end and the new Omegas are doing much better. They regained all their energy and some were already starting to experiment with their claws or their tails. These are new sensations for them and they don't really know what to do. Some have even managed to take their wolf form without having looked for it. When they found themselves on all fours, they didn't know how to move forward and fell with every step they took. The whole pack watched them discover each other with amusement. The children imitated them, finding it very amusing. They also tried to give them advice.
After watching them discover themselves for a few minutes, Kurt and Aria went to them to explain what they should do. Against all expectations, everyone listened directly, especially so as not to be surprised anymore. They were quite surprised when they got up and their lack of control scared them. For now, all they want is to learn, so they can no longer be afraid. Surprise was something predictable, but fear was not. However, this is something quite common for people who have just become werewolves and who do not know how to manage their new abilities.
"Guys, calm down. It's normal that you don't control anything yet, you've only just finished your week of incubation. Now we will teach you everything and, you will see, you will have complete control over yourself. It's just a matter of time, nothing more. And, there's no point in panicking, because the whole pack will panic with you. I remind you that we are all sensitive to the emotions of others, including you. So, take a breath, take some time to calm down and then we'll get started."
Once again, everyone nodded in understanding, gradually regaining their calm. They are well supported and will learn everything, so there is no point in panicking. Panic is even counterproductive in werewolves' learning, because it prevents them from thinking correctly. A werewolf who does not think correctly cannot carry out what he is told, and therefore he will continually make mistakes which will slow him down in his learning. This is why everything always happens in the most absolute calm possible, so that there is nothing to disrupt their learning.
Two weeks later, the new additions to the pack are fully trained and ready to live their werewolf lives. They master their abilities, no longer surprised when they realize that they have a tail or that they hear a noise that they were not used to hearing before. They can start a family if they want, because most are imprinted. An impregnated couple will always produce, at least, one child, because it is in their nature. It is very rare that a werewolf does not ensure his descendants. Usually, when this happens, it is a question of lone werewolves, who have not been able to find a partner to ensure offspring. Indeed, mating with the first person to come is very frowned upon, because we do not know if it is the partner of another werewolf.
The new integrations being completely completed, the life of the pack was able to resume normally. The children are growing up well and are very curious, not hesitating to venture into the forest, against the advice of their parents. They didn't hesitate to go and get to know the new ones, asking them if they planned to have children or not. Of course, they didn't know how to give an answer, since they don't know it yet.
In addition to these new impregnations, the pack's territory has expanded significantly. The first extension was a large central and common house, so that everyone could enjoy it. It is the perfect place for children to learn community life and train effectively with competent people. This house also allows you to store equipment in the different cellars, because it is common equipment and not everyone necessarily has space in their personal homes. Also, it makes it possible to organize huge convivial banquets and welcome guests in the rooms. In short, it is a multifunctional house, which will mainly be used for guests.
Then, the various car parks were modernized, in particular with the addition of electric charging stations. Indeed, some members of the pack own electric vehicles. The parking lots have also been covered to protect the various vehicles from bad weather, particularly rain. A separation between the different parking lots has also been made, so that common vehicles are not mixed with personal vehicles or those of guests.
Finally, some members of the pack decided to change their old vehicles, considering them to be aging. Some have simply taken the opportunity to buy the vehicles of their dreams. This is the case of Emma, who always dreamed of owning an Alfa Romeo, but she never thought of having one, given her salary. Well, with the money she received, she quickly went and bought an Alfa Romeo Giulia, getting it in a sparkling red color. Hanna and Caleb changed their Renaults Austral and Arkana for Maserati Levante and Quattroporte, finding these models more prestigious and classy. Mike, having seen Tina's car, decided to take a more modest and smaller one, thus setting his sights on a VW Golf.
Others just wanted to assert their financial situation, thus voluntarily purchasing very large and quite expensive vehicles. This is the case of Mélissa, who rushed into the first Mercedes showroom to buy an S-Class, taking it with every option, not caring about spending money. Alison, too, wanted to assert her money and immediately went to Aston Martin and opted to take the Vanquish. Jake, too, wanted an expensive car and didn't really decide to go original. He went to Ferrari and took the Roma model, finding it classic, but fitting what he wanted. The others kept their vehicles, not wanting to change them.
Everyone was doing well, however, some news came to break their morale. The werewolf hunter, whom they put in prison five years ago, has just been released for good behavior. It appears that the prison where he was held did not take all of his actions into account. He was released a few days ago, and he's already busy raising an army to come get them. He has sworn to their doom and he seems to want to keep his promise. It also seems that he called on old friends and family to help him in this terrible task.
When Kurt and Aria heard this news, their first reaction was uncertainty. They didn't know what to do, but they didn't want to stay holed up in their territory either. After several hours of reflection, they decided to go see this man and show him that they are not afraid of him. He can hire as many men as he wants, it will never do any good, because they are immune to everything. So, Gérard Argent does not scare them and will never scare them.
