Hey, fairy tail fans, welcome back to a fairy tail re-told; I'm deciding on a new intro if you don't mind, so bear with me and tell me what you think.

Me: So ya, here, I will talk about what comes up in the arc and stuff, followed by some random characters from the story. I wonder who.

Happy: aye, sir

Me: and Siegrain from the magic council

Siegrain: why hello? This will be an interesting chapter, to say the least; however, there is still much to be discussed.

Happy: this guy creeps me out.

Me: I know maybe this wasn't a good idea after all

The seven council members held another meeting in the large city of Era. This time, they discussed the events of the Lullaby incident.

"I can't believe this," Org said, massaging his temples. "How could a dark guild rise completely under our noses."

"It is a strange anomaly, isn't it?" someone spoke up; this man holds the ninth seat on the council. He is a tall, middle-aged man named Leiji, "I thought the dark guild was destroyed after the second trade war.

"It appears we were misinformed," Belon spoke up. "If so, how many dark guilds could there be," she asked, confused.

"We should investigate; for all we know, there are as many dark guilds as stars in the sky.

"I agree," Siegrain spoke up, "but we also owe a bit of gratitude to the wizards who stopped Eisenwald in their tracks. "I hear they took on the whole guild before our rune knights could show up."

Org let out a laugh. "What are you suggesting, Siegrain, that were in debt to a bunch of hooligans?" the elderly man spoke."

"No, what I'm saying is I think we should meet our so-called heroes face to face," Siegrain said with an evil smirk.

[##Lucy's theme##]

We return to Magnolia, where we find Lucy sitting at a desk with a quill in hand and a piece of paper in front of her as she starts to write.

Hey, Mom, wait until I tell you about the crazy week I had first. I ran into this weird wizard, Natsu, who you won't believe is a dragon slayer, just like from those stories you'd tell me when I was little. I also met two other wizards named Erza and Gray. Together, we stopped a plot to kill all the Guild masters; a dark guild called Eisenwald had attempted to get their hands on Lullaby, a death flute, but we could stop them in the nick of time. It's still hard to believe that I was at the center of such a big ordeal and to top it off, no one knows it was me sucks, but Natsu told me not to talk about too much. I feel scared thinking about it sometimes, but I should be fine. All the Eisenwald members were caught, and Kageyama went willingly. Gray's words got to him; what troubles me is that they never found that Erigor guy, which means he's plotting revenge. I hope Natsu is around when that happens. I can't explain why, but I feel safer around him. It's because we've been there so much in our short time getting to know each other. I know he'll keep me safe, so there's no need to worry about me, Mom. I'll be fine. PS Don't tell Dad about any of this, please.

Lucy sighed in relief as she put the letter in an envelope and stood up to go to the chest behind her; with another sigh, she opened it and set it in the chest; a gate fell from the desk, and she picked it up. Lucy looked it over, placing a hand on it as it gave a slight glow. Looking it over, she sighed. "Still no magic," Lucy whispered as she went to the door." I wonder what's going to happen today," she said as she left the room.

"don't fall in, young lady," a voice called as Lucy played on the edge of the pear

"I'll be fine," Lucy said. "I wonder what Natsu's up to."

"fight," people started screaming as everyone ran to the front of the pub. Lucy followed. She looked around and picked Gray up from the crowd. "Gray, what's going on."

"Well, you remember how you said to wait until the job was done before they killed each other?" Gray asked.

"oh no," Lucy said as she looked at the center where Natsu and Erza stood in the middle.

"you wanna say that again?" Natsu shouted

"You heard me," Erza shouted back. "What does the truth hurt."

"You nothing but talk, aren't you?" Natsu shouted. "why don't you?" he stopped when a sword flew by his face as Erza glared at him. "huh, what do you know?"

"you should talk," Erza shouted. "You're nothing but a coward who slinks away the first sign of trouble," he shouted. "If it wasn't for Lisanna."

"don't you dare go there," Natsu shouted as he stepped forward, and someone jumped before him. "keep her name out of your mouth."

"come on, man, calm down," she reasoned. "it's too nice a day for you two to be trying to kill each other."

"no, I want her to repeat herself," Natsu growled.

"I said you were a snake in the grass; what is there more to say," Ezra said. "The first chance you get, you turn your back on everything that this place stands, everything that was so hard for Mavis, your mother, to build, and you think it just goes away," she said. "Saying I'm sorry can fix everything." she growled. "well, it doesn't, and I'll never let you forget."

"Oh, thank you, Erza," Natsu said as he pushed past the woman who tried to grab his arm. "without you, how would I remember everything I regret? Why did I end up in that place? Why did I do the things I did," he growled. "Who needs enemies when there are people like you around?"

"people like me"

"oh, you know, people who don't have friends, people who feel so miserable that they have to drag others down to their level to feel good about themselves," he shouted. "Maybe instead of running off into the sunset every chance you got, you'd understand just why things are the way they are," he shouted. "but no, that's too good for the famous Erza Scarlet; she has to be the boss of everyone" he shouted, "maybe I should have taken a page from your book and run away from all my problems."

"hold your tongue before I remove it," Ezra growled. "Don't lecture me when all you did was prove everything people say about you, right."

"Make me," Natsu growled, "cause I'll prove them right again," he said. "So go ahead, call me a monster."

"at least you acknowledge it, monster," Erza said as Natsu rushed her.

"I'll show you a monster," Natsu screamed as Erza dodged her armor, changing into a predominantly dark red but also sporting orange and black parts, with the first shaped like flames and the second resembling Dragon's limbs. It comprises three different parts: the revealing breastplate with Dragon-like wings attached to it, the orange gauntlets, and the Dragon claw-shaped greaves. Erza's hair is tied into a pair of high, long pigtails. "You no better than those rats we fought yesterday."

"at least they have some form of honor," Erza shouted. "The only thing you care about is yourself."

"Gray, do something," Lucy shouted

"I'm not getting in the middle of that," Gray shouted back at her

"Natsu, calm down," Levy shouted

"Come on, Erza, cool it," Elfman screamed

Natsu and Erza continued throwing punches at each other as they slid back, anger in their eyes as they charged at each other; as they approached, Mira appeared, making both stop. She grabbed both with as much grace as a dancer could toss the two into separate directions. As everyone stepped back, Erza and Natsu stood up. "are you two done?" Mira asked.

Erza scoffed as she stood up, looking back at Natsu. "fine, this isn't over, Natsu."

"yeah, yeah," Natsu shouted. "if I don't see you again, it will be too soon," he yelled as the pair started to stomp off in different directions. Though Natsu was stopped as a woman grabbed his ear. "ow Cana," he shouted

"what the hell?" the woman who was named Cana shouted. "For once, it would be nice if the two of you got along," she screamed. "It's not even a day, and you two are already trying to kill each other."

"Let him go, Cana." Mira sighed as she released the man from her grip. Natsu rubbed his ear.

"it snot manly to pick fights like that, bro," Elfman told Natsu

"she started it," Natsu shouted at him

"what happened," Lucy asked

"oh, just Natsu and Erza butting heads," Cana laughed. "These days, those two get along like oil and water," she smiled. "You must be the new girl; nice to meet you. I'm Cana."

"Lucy," Lucy introduced herself, "and the one without a shirt is Gray."

"oh, come on," Gray shouted.

"Jesus, man, what do you have against clothes," Natsu said

"Shut up, flame brain," Gray shouted

"Are you just picking fights with everyone today," Cana asked

"naw," Mira smiled. "Natsu fire and Gray's ice"

"oh," Cana laughed. "Well, I"

"Hey, let me go," Erza's voice shouted as a frog appeared, Erza in tow. "I said I would comply; now, what are you doing."

"Are you the one they call Natsu dragneel," the frog asked

"yeah," Natsu asked

"the frog then nodded before backing up. "On behalf of the magic council, you four are under arrest."

Silence filled the whole area as Erza stared at the frog with disbelief. "On what charge."

"that's not for me to say," the frog answered as Rune knights soon appeared behind it and cuffed him.

"Hey, what is this about?" Natsu shouted

"wait," Lucy said as the rune knight grabbed her

"you were with these two," a knight asked. "Lucy nodded. "then you'll have to come with us," he said. "you two, young man."

"Hey, wait," Cana said, but her cries were in vain as the rune knights left.

"oh no," Happy muttered. "You don't think."

"I hope not," Mira muttered. "Still, though, we should warn Mavis."

Erza, Natsu, Gray, and Lucy were guided through the halls. All the sunlight came in through the halls as they faced the floor; Erza was the most thought when she had them for help. She had no idea she'd get them into this mess that meant they'd run into him. Erza's thoughts were confirmed when she saw the man leaning against a pillar. His arms were crossed, and he smirked as he saw the armored wizard.

"Siegrain," Erza asked, shocked that he had appeared while the frog had knelt shaking. In contrast, Erza had backed up a look of disgust formed on her face.

Siegrain rose from the pillar and started walking towards her, his smirk yet to vanish. "It's been a while, Erza," he said as Erza got more defensive. "No, need to be so aggressive. I mean you no harm," he explained. Erza started to lower her guard. "This is only a projection; my real body is in Era right now," he said, smiling, "and everyone behind those doors has projections, too."

"Now I see this is all you're doing," Erza asked. "I can understand me, but why did you drag them in?" she motioned to Nasu, Lucy, and Gray, who were still confused.

"that's not nice," Siegrain told her. "I stood for you and your companions, but the geezers wouldn't stand for it," he explained. "You see, you're a scapegoat."

Erza's face widens in shock, "So that's why we're here."

"I thought that would be obvious," Siegrain told her. "Since you and your friends aren't part of a guild, those geezers felt it was right to blame all of you."

"that's not fair," Lucy said but quickly hushed when Siegrain looked at her.

"Since you don't have guild protection over you, it is fair," Siegrain told her. "You'd be amazed at how much the council talks about Magnolia, the only place not under guild protection, and if it weren't for that silly charter your city has with us, I'd bet they're forcing those wizards to make a guild."

Siegrain leaned in closer before whispering in her ear, "Wouldn't agree, miss," he whispered the last bit in Lucy's ear, and her entire face froze. "How."

This got Natsu angry; he didn't like this guy. "Leave her alone," he said. Siegrain laughed, "And you must be Natsu Dragneel," Siegrain asked. "I must say it's a pleasure to meet face to face; the way Magnolia talks about you is certainly pleasing to hear."

"Hey," Gray asked, "can we get this over with."

"Oh, and how are you, Master Gray," Siegrain asked.

"Leave her out of this," Gray said, shooting daggers at Siegrain.

This caused Siegrain to chuckle, "You solo wizards love being alone. I'm surprised you got this far."

"leave them out, this Siegrain," Erza barked as Siegrain turned his attention back to Erza.

" I had to introduce myself; now, as for you, my dear, I must pass a message. "Siegrain grabbed Erza's checks and whispered in her ear, "You better keep quiet about you know what for both our sakes."

Erza's entire body froze; she slightly nodded as Siegrain backed away. "Good, I wish you luck," he said as he faced Natsu," and as for you, I already know your little secret and about Mavis too." he laughed, "and I hope to see more of you soon" he smiled "Master Makarov always speaks highly of you."

Before Natsu could answer, Siegrain disappeared into the next room, leaving the five in the hall; the employee slowly raised his head, "You know some pretty important people."

"he's pure evil," Erza muttered.

"what," the employee asked.

"Nothing," Erza answered

Court chamber.

Erza, Natsu, Gray, and Lucy stood before the magic council; a naval soon started the trial. Siegrain sat next to Ultear and Yajima. All had calm faces as they began to hint at a bit of pity for the wizards. On the other side were Master's Michello, Belno, Yuri, and Leiji Org, who sat in the middle, and above him were the chairmen, the holders of the first seat of the council.

Defendant's Erza Scarlett, Natsu Dragneel, Gray Fullbuster, and just Lucy," the employee asked, confused as Lucy quickly nodded. "Anyway, you four are now charged with property damage to oshibana station and the train tracks leading to Clover."

Erza, Gray, and Nasu nodded as they did their fair share of damage. However, Lucy was trying to figure out what she had destroyed, and then she remembered that Virgo had dug a hole in the station, and that was her spirit, after all.

"We also have a few accounts of public indecency on Gray Fullbuster," the employee spoke, shocking Gray.

"There are several eye-witness claims of him taking off everything but his underwear," Belno said as she read the paper. "Kids these days."

Ultear let out a laugh as she looked at the woman. "I think we should just let them off with a warning," she said, "their only children, so no need to make a fuss on that."

Belno muttered something about no standards but was quickly overlooked as the chairman rose. " I think we all have come to terms with the punishment."

All the council members nodded like wizards as Org rose, "We've decided to let your kids off with a slap on the risk."

Lucy and Gray sighed in relief as Natsu and Erza's faces started to pale. One of the employees walked out with a whip and cracked. "All right, line up!" the employee said.

Lucy and Gray's faces paled as Natsu and Erza gulped, fearing their lives would be hell for the next few seconds.

Outside the courtroom

Erza, Natsu, Gray, and Lucy exited the courtroom, rubbing their now blood-red risk.

"when they said they'd let us off with a slap on the risk, I didn't think they'd literally slap our risk," Lucy moaned as she walked outside the courtroom.

"Well, at least it's over," Erza told her, "honestly, I'm glad we're not in any real trouble."

"Yeah," Gray said as he rubbed his risk. " I had no idea this was a mock trial."

"Could have fooled me," Natsu said as he stopped rubbing his risk. "Hey, I think the pain is starting to go away."

"Well, lucky you," Lucy said as she rubbed her hand, "but it does explain why I kept my gate, Keyes; I'm going to have to sort this out later, though."

As the wizards left, Siegrain watched them from afar. 'It was a pleasure to meet you, Natsu Dragneel,' he smiled. 'You and Erza are a formidable team, but thankfully, it seems that tension would be easy to break,' He said as he watched the four wizards walk out of the building. 'I can't wait. Soon, what do you say? I force you two into unique situations.'

Ultear soon appeared next to him, smiling. "So, it's time we begin our plan," she asked quietly.

Siegrain gave a cold smile. "Yes. Yes, it is," he looked in the distance. "Soon, a new world order will begin." he looked over. "Get in contact with the heartfilia estate. Tell Jude I have some information that he would like to hear."

"And as for Galuna Island," Ultear asked,

"already in motion." Siegrain smiled

Natsu, Gray, and Lucy returned to the pub the next day. Happy shouted joyfully and crashed into Natsu's arms.

"I'm glad you guys are okay," Happy said as he turned and hugged Lucy, "so what happened at the council."

Natsu explained how the council used them as a scapegoat to ensure people knew this event didn't go unpunished.

Mira frowned at this. "I can't say I approve, but what's done is done."

"yeah," Lucy agreed. "I'm just glad my spirits weren't too mad at me."

"Well, I'm just glad it's over," Gray said, taking a seat. He was already in his underwear, causing most of the women in the pub to stare.

"Um, Gray," Mira said nicely, "nice skivvies."

"huh," Gray looked down and noticed he didn't have on his clothes. "Aw damn it," he moaned.

"Gray's clothing choices aside, Natsu, there was something I wanted to ask you," Lucy said. "I wanted," Luycy stopped. "I wanted to ask if it was time for bed," Lucy whispered as she started to fall over as Natsu caught her.

"he's coming," Natsu said as he sat Lucy at the table.

One by one, the people in the pub started to fall over, spilling drinks and dropping their food on the ground as they all began to go to sleep; soon, the whole place was asleep except for Natsu and Mirajane as they tried their best to keep their friends from hitting the floor, but even they seemed to be affected by it as a figure came in. he had a dark blue cloak and his arms and legs are mostly covered in wore a dark blue bandana with a silver forehead protector. A green mask that obscured the bottom half of his face on his back was several magic staff held by a dark green strap going across his main body.

"Hello, Mystogen," they both said as the wizard approached them.

He stopped and eyed Happy, who gave up trying to resist the spell and fell asleep; he ruffled the cat's hair, pulled out a small blue bag, and set it next to the feline.

He then stared at Natsu and Mira. He handed a paper to Natsu and sat on the desk for Mira to review. "I'll be back," he said as he started to leave before Nasu grabbed his arm.

"What's this?" Natsu asked as he showed him what appeared to be a job request.

"An S-class mission," Mystogen answered. "a new S-class mission that has been making the rounds," he said. "Mavis asked me to hand it off to you," he stated as she broke free. "I also figured it gives you an excuse to get out of town." he then started to leave again.

"wait, Mystogen!" Mira shouted, "The...sleep spell."

Mystogen chuckled, "Of course," he then started to walk out, counting down as he began to reverse the spell on all the wizards. "Five...Four...three...two...one."

As he disappeared, everyone woke up and began to register what happened.

"Damn Mystogen"

"that sleep spell is impressive."

Lucy slowly started to come to. as she let out a yawn. "What was that," she asked as Gray stood up.

"That was Mystogen," Natsu answered as he looked over what Mystogen gave him.

"who," Lucy asked.

"he's one the strongest wizards in Magnolia," Mira told him, "if you don't mind, I have to head upstairs for a bit."

"Yeah, me too," Nasu said. "I need to check this out."

The two soon left, leaving a perplexed Lucy, "Okay, what got into them."

"There's always like that when Mystogen returns," Happy told her.

"whose Mystogen?" Lucy asked, "he was the one who put us to sleep."

"Aye," Happy answered as he looked through the bag Mystogen gave him, "the only three people to have seen his face are Nasu, me, and Mira."

"Why doesn't he want anyone to see his face," Gray asked.

"I don't know," Happy answered as he took a bit out of the fish," all I know is Mystogen, a major powerhouse."

"Yeah, right," Gray said, "someone that powerful would have been on the radar long ago."

"It's true," Cana said, approaching the Ice wizard, "Mystogen, one of the three strongest guys around here."

"Wait, so who are they there two," Lucy asked, freaking out a bit.

"Happy pretty much answered that question," Cana told her. "Nasu and Mirajane."

Gray nearly choked on what was left of his drink, "no way that flame-brain."

"Yep," Elfman said, coming up, "My sister, Natsu, and Mystogen are the only three S-class wizards in Magnolia." he sighed. "we call them the three children of Magnolia; they're the reason the guild can set up shop here."

Lucy couldn't believe what she was hearing. Mira was an S-class Wizard and Natsu; then again, she had seen Natsu's power close hand. And she remembered when Natsu said Mira was Fiore's strongest female solo wizard.

"All right, I'm back," Mira said as she descended the stairs. "Everyone is all right." Everyone in the pub nodded as Mira sighed in relief.

"Hey, Mira," Lucy asked, "is it true that you are an S-class wizard."

Mira nodded, "yep, me, Natsu, and Mystogen," she said, "were sorta like the guys who keep Magnolia safe."

"Hey Mira, what did Mystogen give Natsu," Happy asked.

"You'll find out later, Happy," Mira said, clearly exhausted by recent events.

Lucy sighed as she walked through the streets of Magnolia. So much had happened that day that he was still trying to wrap her head around it, but what really stuck out in her mind was Natsu and Erza. She had tried asking why the two didn't get along, but Cana told her it was a long story and best not to open that wound. 'still though, I'm curious.' She stopped when Erza appeared before her cake hand. "oh, Erza."

"Lucy," Ezra smiled, "I didn't expect to see you here." She smiled, "I'm just stopping for some cake on my way out."

"you're going on another job," Lucy asked.

"no, but I find work quicker when I travel around," she said. "besides, there's nothing for me here," she sighed, "especially with Natsu in town." she sighed. "It's clear they picked their side the moment I left."

"on that, what happened between you two," Lucy asked

"I don't want to talk about it," Erza sighed. "No offense, but we haven't known each other long enough for me to feel comfortable sharing that information."

"oh yeah," Lucy said. "I'm sorry," she said as Erza walked past her

"and one more thing, Lucy," Erza said, getting her attention as she turned to face her, "whatever you do, don't trust him."

"Natsu," Lucy asked.

"yes," Ezra said. "believe me, when I tell you the first chance he gets, he will stab you in the back and abandon you," Lucy said nothing as Erza turned to walk away. Leaving the girl to wonder just what happened between the two that could cause them to be so hostile to each other, what would make her warn her against trusting Natsu

"what have I got myself into?" Lucy whispered as she turned to leave

Miles away on an Island, a group of people stood in a circle around what appeared to be a strange altar. They all started chanting as a large purple beam came down.

Behind them was a man who had an ornamental helmet obscuring most of his face. Bearing a resemblance to a skull, this helmet sported a front part that covered his upper face, revealing his mouth and nose, with a line of sharp teeth beneath it, and his eyes not being visible from the eye slits of the mask, which was adorned by a spiraling motif. The helmet also had striped horns pointing frontwards and a large crest of spiky fur falling on his back. Below this was a large white cape with a wide collar, golden edges, and fur trimmings over the shoulders, held closed by a belt, adorned by a stylized snake with rectangular coils and its corresponding buckle, with more straps and buckles, placed a few centimeters away from one another and below the first, being left untied.

"How much longer?" the man asked. The air around him began to freeze as he got closer to the ceremony.

"Not much longer, my lord," someone answered. She had her hair tied in pigtails, her choker tied into a ribbon, a purple and pink short spaghetti dress with light pink trimmings, black leggings, and high-heeled sandals. Her dress appears to have two long and thin wings at the back." all for the name of Love.

"ruff soon, you will have your revenge." another man spoke out; he had canine ears and the only top he was a necklace with a sock in it; he wore blue saggy pants that covered most of his feet.

"all for the cold emperor," another man answered. He had enormous eyebrows and sported a green coat reaching down to his knees, sporting black sections in correspondence to the sleeves' outer part and on the sides' lower parts, below the plain dark belt with a rectangular buckle which, together with the two vertically striped, overlapping hems placed on the front, kept the garment closed. Yuka's pants were dark and loose, while his plain shoes were light-colored.

The man started to laugh, "Soon I will avenge you, Master Ur," 'If only you could be here, Gray,' the cold emperor thought to himself,' I know you would love this.

And there it is. In the original version of this chapter, I set up Natsu and Erza as enemies, but as seen in previous chapters, Natsu and Erza have a history and rivalry. I can only change so much, but I wanted to create something different between the two. They will they end friends again. Why does Erza feel like you shouldn't trust Natsu?
