Kuroda,raditz,goku,krillin,and yamcha were listening to the announcer explain the Preliminarie rules but the only thing that kuroda and raditz were thinking about was how goku didn't know he was a saiyan
"The Preliminaries will now begin" the announcer stated as all the fighters spread out to different arenas
"Woah there a lot of people here I'm really excited,hey you never told me why you keep calling me kakarot" goku said
Raditz then panicked "um it's your...nickname right kuroda?" Raditz was obviously lying but no one knew "yeah that's your nickname kakarot" kuroda then started laughing nervously
"Oh cool I like it" goku said
"At this time fighters number one and two may enter the ring" the ref announced
Yamcha then stepped into the ring "good luck yamcha!" Krillin shouted yamcha gave him a thumbs up in response
Fighter number two step he had a mohawk and a mustache,he wore a purple undershirt with black pants
Yamcha got into his signature wolf battle stance,fighter number two got into a stance as well "get ready to lose kid" he said
Yamcha smirked at his cockiness "let the fight begin!" The ref shouted
Fighter number two jumped up and threw a kick at yamcha
But yamcha simply disappeared
"What the hell?" He said yamcha then reappeared beside him and gave him a swift punch to the face knocking out fighter number two
"Fighter number one wins!" The ref announced the others fighter watching were shocked
"Hm he's better than I thought" tien stated
Yamcha walked out the ring and received praise from his friends "you did great yamcha!" Kuroda said "yeah yamcha you finished him with one blow" goku added
Yamcha then stood proudly "thanks guys that's what three years of training do to ya" he gloated
"That was pretty impressive from someone like you" the group turned around and saw tien and chiaotzu "oh yeah and you can do better I assume?" yamcha mocked him "yes actually I can" tien said
Krillin looked at chiaotzu who was staring at him intensely "what's wrong with your friend?" Krillin asked,chiaotzu then pointed at krillin "midget" he mocked him "midget!? You're shorter than me!" Krillin shouted
Kuroda then stepped in "hey it's not nice to call people names like that" she said politely
Chiaotzu then pointed at her "ugly" he mocked her as well,kuroda was shocked by chiaotzu's words,krillin then intervened "she is not ugly! She's cute!" Krillin shouted
Chiaotzu stuck his tongue out at them both "chiaotzu stop it's not polite to make fun of your inferiors" tien mocked "hey hey everyone calm down" an old man then stepped into the conversation "who are you old man?" Tien asked
"Hey show some respect that's Jackie Chun he won the last tournament" goku informed "and you three were in that tournament,if you can't win against a old man then what chance to you have against me" tien said this angered yamcha
"Alright triclops that's enough you and your weirdo friend leave us alone before I turn both of you into dust" raditz fumed,tien laughed at him not knowing the true power raditz's had
"Whatever you say porcupine" tien said mocking raditz's hair,tien and chiaotzu then left the group
"Sorry about those two mister chun,how have you been?" Yamcha asked "I am fine yamcha" Jackie responded "oh mister chun these are my siblings raditz and kuroda,I just met them today" goku announced with a smile
"Oh it is very nice to meet you,I was not aware that goku had siblings" jackie acknowledged "well like kakarot said we just show up hehe" raditz commented
Jackie looked at raditz and kuroda "may I speak to you two in private?" he asked "um sure" raditz said following him
Kuroda looked at krillin "hey thanks for standing up for me,that was really sweet of you" she then followed Jackie Chun and raditz,'she thinks I'm sweet? Yes! Krillin your going to have a wife in no time' krillin admired kuroda as she walked off
"Hey krillin I think your up next" goku said "huh? Oh right" krillin then made his way into the ring
Jackie took raditz and kuroda into a quiet corner in the preliminarie grounds "so is it true that you goku is from space?" He asked his question shocked the siblings
"We have no clue what you're talking about?" Kuroda mumbled nervously "let me explain some more my name is not jackie chun,I'm master roshi I just put this disguise on so I could test goku,krillin and yamcha and give them a lesson that winning isn't everything" roshi explained
"Oh your that old man that was with ms.bulma,wait how did you know kakarot is from space?" Kuroda asked
"The man that found him was one of my students,his name was gohan when he found goku he was in some little space pod. At first goku didn't seem to want gohan's help he was aggressive and rambunctious,until the day goku hit his head then he became the kindhearted goofball I know now" roshi explained kuroda and raditz understood now
"Where is this gohan?" Raditz asked "unfortunately he perished when goku turned into a great ape and crushed him,ever since then goku has been by himself" roshi said
"Poor kakarot" kuroda frowned looking at the ground
"So what are you exactly?" Roshi asked
"We are saiyans a warrior race that lived on planet vegeta,our planet was destroyed when we were younger luckily for us and kakarot we weren't on the planet,but sadly the rest of our race were killing all the saiyans that were there" raditz explained
"So you three are the only survivors?" roshi assumed
"Not exactly there are more in space somewhere but they are not like us they would kill everyone on this planet on sight" kuroda
"I see interesting,a warrior race huh? That would explain his desire for a good fight,are you going to tell him?" Roshi asked "after the tournament we'll tell him,we don't want him off guard" raditz stated
Goku then ran up to raditz and kuroda "hey raditz that tien guy is about to fight" he said "see you in the quarter finals Jackie Chun" raditz said he then walked off with kuroda beside him
Tien was in the ring he threw his qipao off to the side leaving him shirtless,chiaotzu caught his qipao
Raditz and kuroda then showed up "let's see what the triclops got" raditz commented
Fighter number ten was a huge sumo wrestler he stomped on the ground preparing to fight
"May the match being" the ref said
Fighter number ten charged at tien,tien then got in a stance putting on of his legs in the air when number ten approached him tien took him out with a quick jab that was to fast for some to see
Number ten then fell unconscious and tien walked out the ring "fighter number nine wins" the ref announced writing on his clipboard
Tien then look at goku and the other with a look of determination
"Woah that tien guy is really strong" krillin said "yeah be he's just trying to scare us to build up his ego" yamcha scoffed
"Fighters number 11 and 12 may enter" the ref announced
"Fight number 12 are you here?" The ref said
Raditz stepped in the ring "yeah yeah I'm here" he watched as his opponent stepped into the ring
Fighter number 11 wore green shorts and no shirt he had bandages on his hands and feet and he had a huge afro his name was pamput
"You're my opponent huh? Lets see what you got" raditz then smirked "raditz I know you want to win but please hold back against these people,they are not like saiyans" kuroda whispered to raditz "yeah yeah I got it" raditz waved her off
"May the fight begin" the ref said
"I'll let you have first hit buddy" raditz said he was obviously being cocky "that will be your last mistake buddy" pamput then circled around raditz throwing fake punches and kicks but raditz just stood with is arms crossed
"Raditz isn't even flinching" yamcha uttered "he's just standing there,even though we just met him your brother is cool goku" krillin commented
Pamput let out a roar and kicked raditz in the neck but was shocked when he saw raditz just standing there nonchalantly,"did you hit me yet?" Raditz asked,pamput then let out a barrage of punches and kicks on raditz that did basically nothing
Pamput grew tired raditz then walked in front of him "my turn" raditz then kicked pamput out of the ring causing him to hit a wall which shocked everyone even tien
"Uhhh t-the winner is fighter number twelve" the ref stuttered in fear,raditz walked out the ring and gave tien the same look of determination
"Thank you for holding back raditz" kuroda whispered "yeah whatever I would have won regardless" raditz said
"Fighter number 13 and 14 please enter" the ref said
"That's me guys" goku hopped into the ring "good luck kakarot" kuroda cheered him on
"Wait kakarot put this on" kuroda handed him the red headband that she had as a reminder of her father,goku put it on "how do I look?" He asked "you look like a warrior,now go win" kuroda said
"He looks just like father" raditz smirked "yeah he really does" kuroda agreed
Fighter number 14 was a tall dark skinned man he had a afro and mustache he also wore a yellow rode with no shoes his name was king chappa
"Hey my name is goku what's yours?" Goku asked "I am king chappa good to meet you goku" they then got into battle stances
"May the fight begin" the ref said
Goku and chappa charged each other they started exchanging multiple blows they seemed equal in power
"Come on kakarot get him get him get him!!" Kuroda shouted throwing her arms around is the air punching some of the others in the process
Chappa retreated back "you are powerful goku,I didn't think a child like you would be a challenge" he said "thanks your pretty tough too" goku added
Chappa then closed his eyes and concentrated when he opened his eyes he appeared to have eight arms "you will not survive against my eight handed attack!" He then charged at goku throwing a flury of blows that goku managed to block and dodged
"Woah how did he grow more arms?" Kuroda exclaimed "he didn't it's a illusion trick,it looks like he has eight arms but in actuality he's moving his arms so fast that the naked eye thinks he has eight arms" Yamcha explained "wow yamcha your smart no wonder ms.bulma likes you" kuroda said
Yamcha look at the ground "actually bulma is the smart one" he said reluctantly
Goku swept chappa's legs from underneath him causing chappa to fall back "damn it" chappa then punched goku but he invaded it with his after image technique
"Up here" chappa looked up and goku was on the ceiling,goku kicked off the ceiling right at chappa
Chappa charged as well 'he won't be able dodged this,victory is mine' chappa was going to land is finishing blow on goku but goku stopped himself in midair and kicked chappa out the ring
"The winner is fighter number 13" the ref said
Goku landed back into the ring and walked up to chappa "hey good fight chappa" he said bowing to him,chappa bowed as well "good fight goku"
Goku then walked back to the others he received a slap on the back from raditz "good job brother I thought you were gonna lose for a minute there" raditz jeered
"thanks raditz"
"Nice one goku" krillin said,"it was a really close battle you scared us a little" Yamcha added
"Kakarot you did great" kuroda hugged him tightly "hehe thanks guys" goku smiled at them
"Fighter number 16 and 15 enter the ring"
"That's me" kuroda entered the ring as happy as ever "good luck kuroda" goku and krillin said simultaneously
Fighter number 15 was a big buff dude he had boxing gloves on with a undershirt that said champ on it he also wore red shorts
"Hello I'm kuroda what's your name?" She said "I don't speak to my opponents it's a waste of time" he said
"May the fight begin"
Number 15 began throwing multiple punches and kuroda but she dodged them all
He then went for a huge right hook but kuroda caught it and flipped him out of the ring
"The winner is number 14"
Kuroda bowed and then returned to the group
The rest of the Preliminaries went by very fast with the quarter finalist being goku,krillin,raditz,kuroda,Yamcha,Jackie chun,tien and chiaotzu
Bulma and the other sat in the stands waiting for the finalist to be announced
"I hope Yamcha makes it" bulma said "me too" puar added "what about goku and the others?" Launch said
"Well it's goku I'm pretty sure he and his siblings will make it" oolong commented
"Did you guys say goku? Is he here?" The group turned around and saw a girl about goku's age
She had light skin,big black beautiful eyes,straight black hair with square bangs
She wore a red dress with pink shoes and she had pink sunglasses on
"You,I know you,you're chichi right?" Bulma asked chichi nodded her head "yep that's me and I'm here to see goku"
"Awww that's so sweet" launch commented
"Hello bulma nice to see you again" the ox king said his presence scared many people in the crowd
"Woah he is very big" oolong said "you can say that again" puar added "woah he is very big" oolong repeated
"What happened to your costumes that you two wore?" Bulma asked "well we didn't want to be seen in public like that it's not appropriate for a princess like myself,so we got regular clothes" chichi explained
"So where is goku?" Chichi asked "he's in the Preliminaries right now but they're are going to be over soon" bulma said
A man with blonde hair,a suit and sunglasses he held a microphone in his hand "hello everyone,I am your announcer Eric Vale and I'm here to announce that our finalists have been decided!!"
The crowd then cheered
"And here are our finalists now!!" Eric announced thats when goku,krillin,raditz,kuroda,Yamcha,Jackie chun,tien and chiaotzu walked out onto the ring
As they stepped out the crowd started to cheer
"Woah there's a lot of people here" kuroda commented
Raditz glanced around the arena 'so this is the tournament?,eh we have a bigger one on planet vegeta'
"Yamcha and the others made it thank god" bulma said "I mean you should have known they were going to make it" oolong mentioned
Bulma blew a kiss at yamcha,yamcha caught it and held it close to his heart "you guys are weird" krillin said "says the guy who likes goku's sister" yamcha quipped
Krillin blushed a bit "no-no I don't shut up!" Yamcha laughed at him
Goku looked at krillin confused "why wouldn't you like kuroda you guys are friends right?" He asked,"of course we're friends goku hehehe" krillin said nervously
"Hey goku goku!!" Chichi shouted chichi tried to run out of the stands but the ox king stopped her "chichi wait you can't just run out there"
Goku saw this and looked at eric "hey can I talk to my girlfriend?" He said "uhhh sure kid go ahead" eric replied
Goku jumped into the crowd and hugged chichi "chichi I was just thinking about you,hey ox king"
"So you were thinking about me?" chichi blushed "of course,you are my girlfriend after all" goku said,chichi giggled as her face turned beet red "oh goku you're so sweet"
"Hello goku you have grown a bit since we last met and I see you've been training under master roshi,where is roshi anyway?" ox king said "I don't know I thought he was with you guys,he's gonna miss the tournament" goku frowned
"Maybe he went to the bathroom or something he'll be here soon goku" oolong said "I hope so" goku added
"Oh chichi,ox king you should meet siblings I just met them today but I think they'll like you,kuroda,raditz come meet chichi and her dad" goku said
Kuroda and raditz walked to goku and chichi
"Hello chichi and Mr.ox king sir I'm kuroda goku's sister" kuroda introduced herself "sup I'm raditz" raditz added
"Goku you didn't tell me you had siblings" chichi said putting her hands on her hips,"yeah goku why didn't you tell us about them?" Ox king asked
"well I just met them today" goku responded scratching his head
"Wait a minute" chichi pointed at kuroda "you're a girl and you're in the tournament,girls aren't supposed to fight,they're supposed to be like princesses!" Chichi shouted
Kuroda giggled at this "well not all girls have to be princesses chichi we can fight too,well it was nice meeting you both we've got to go back" kuroda then walked back into the ring
"Come on kakarot,goodbye chichi,bye ox king" raditz then followed kuroda "I'll see you after the tournament chichi" goku then received a kiss on the cheek from chichi "you better not lose goku"
"I'll try hehe and if I can't win I'll fight until I can't no more" goku jumped out of the stands and landed back in the ring
Shen looked at tien and chiaotzu he communicated with him telepathically 'tien,chiaotzu make sure to kill the turtle hermits students or at least cause an injury'
Tien and chiaotzu nodded
"Our first match will start after our contestants get a deserved break" eric said and with that the contestants for the tournament walked out of the ring
As the others went to the cafeteria to go eat tien and chiaotzu looked at the tournament bracket "chiaotzu switch it I'll get yamcha and you can get that krillin he seems weak we'll make a example out of them" tien said
"Alright tien" chiaotzu then used his psychic powers to change the bracket "that's good,we'll show those turtle hermits" tien said they then walked off to the cafeteria
Everyone was speechless as goku,kuroda and raditz ate the way saiyans eat
"Well this confirms it they're definitely siblings" yamcha said "yeah like the tails weren't conformation enough" krillin said sarcastically
Krillin looked at kuroda as she ate 'she looks so cute when she eats' he then started blushing
Kuroda swallowed her food and looked at krillin "krillin are you ok? Did you want some food?" She asked "um y-yeah sure" krillin stuttered and started eating
Yamcha face palmed 'she shares the same cluelessness and innocence as goku,it's kinda cute on a girl now that I think about it'
Tien and chiaotzu sat at a different table
Tien looked at raditz with a worried face "what is it tien?" Chiaotzu asked "that raditz is pretty strong I sense a lot of power from him,kuroda is not as strong but she's still has a great amount of power,this tournament might be difficult so we shouldn't hold back" tien stated
"You got it tien" chiaotzu said with a mouth full of ramen
Raditz gave out a huge burp and laughed "that was the best meal I've had in years!!" He shouted,goku let out a burp as well "wow it was really good!" he said
goku then tied the red headband back on his forehead
Kuroda covered her mouth as she burped "it was a good meal,I think the tournament is gonna begin soon" she said "yeah I'm pretty pumped" yamcha said
"It will be an interesting tournament indeed,I can't wait to see what you have all learned"
Jackie Chun said
"Excuse me but the tournament is going to start soon,all of you will sit on the sidelines until it is your turn In the bracket" a ref explained they all nodded and made their way out on the tournament grounds
"Alright folks after a long wait we can officially say that the first match for the 22nd martial arts is about to begin!!" Eric Vale announced
And with that the crowd cheered
"Finally I've been waiting all day for this" oolong "I wonder who will be going first?" Launch questioned
"Our first match will be yamcha vs tien shinhan!!" Eric shouted
"Good luck yamcha" krillin said "yeah yamcha give him hell!" raditz shouted slapping his back "ow hehe thanks guys" yamcha and tien then walked out into the ring
"You know you can give up while you still can" Tien boasted "now why would I do that" yamcha quipped "well I warned you" tien added
they went off to their sides of the arena
"Kick his ass yamcha!!" Bulma shouted throwing her fist in the air hitting oolong in the face and elbowing ox king in the process
"Do you think yamcha is going to win?" Kuroda asked,raditz closed his eyes and crossed his arms "I don't know,yamcha is strong but tien is about on the same level so I really don't know" he said this worried kuroda a bit
"Yamcha is strong don't worry kuroda he's got this" krillin reassured her "I hope your right" kuroda said
Yamcha and tien stared at each other intensely as the drums played on the sidelines they both got into combat stances as a man hit the dong on the sidelines
"Let the match begin!!" Eric shouted as the crowd cheered
Yamcha charged at tien and threw a punch tien dodged it and threw a punch of his own but yamcha avoided it
Tien threw a kick to yamcha's side,yamcha blocked it and grabbed his leg and threw tien to the side
Tien recovered with a backflip and charged at yamcha
Yamcha and tien then started throwing blows at each other both of them equally in power the crowd cheered as they watched
"Woah yamcha's doing great!" Kuroda said "I told you,go yamcha!!" Krillin shouted
Yamcha slugged tien right In the gut causing him to fall back
'Hm it seems he's not all talk,maybe I should get serious' tien got into another stance
yamcha then started doing a bunch of stances
"Dad what is his doing?" chichi asked "looks like he getting ready to attack" answered ox king
"New Wolf Fang Gale Fist!!" Yamcha shouted tien prepared himself "sounds interesting" he said
Yamcha charged at tien and threw multiple punches at him putting tien on the defensive
Bulma grabbed oolong's ears and started pulling them "hit him yamcha!! Hit him!!" She shouted "ow ow ears!!" Oolong screamed in pain
Tien found a opening and threw a punch but yamcha flipped out the way and kick tien in back sending him to the ground
Tien flipped off the ground and kicked yamcha multiple times in the chest sending yamcha back
Yamcha smirked and jumped into the air tien did the same,they then started exchanging blows in the air shocking the crowd
They both punched each sending each other back and landing back in the ring
"Hm not bad but it's game over" yamcha cupped his hands to his side goku,krillin and jackie chun knew what he was doing
"Goku is he…" krillin said goku nodded in response
Raditz lifted his eyebrow in confusion 'his energy is rising,what technique is he using?'
"Ka...me...ha...me" a blue ball started charging in yamcha's hands "HA!!" he shot the kamehameha wave at tien
Tien put his hands together and ki started surrounding him as the kamehameha wave approached him tien shouted and the wave was reflected back at yamcha
Yamcha jumped out the way to avoid getting hit but the kamehameha wave shot towards the crowd
Kuroda jumped in the way and kicked the kamehameha wave into the air far away from the tournament grounds
The kamehameha exploded in the air shocking everyone in the crowd
Yamcha was still in the air "woah that was close,thanks kuroda!!" He shouted,he saw that kuroda was trying to say something but he couldn't hear her
"Yamcha behind you!!" Kuroda shouted but it was to late
Tien was behind Yamcha and kicked him sending him flying into the ring
Yamcha hit his head and laid in the ring unconscious
"I'm not done yet" tien then dived down at yamcha and kneed his leg on the way down causing yamcha's leg to break everyone was shocked by this sight
"No yamcha!!" Bulma's eyes started to water,she wanted to run to him but the others held her back "bulma stop,you can't go in there!!" Launch said
"Uh and the winner is tien shinhan..." eric said sadly the crowd was silent as tien walked out the ring
Shen grinned at this 'yes tien good'
"Yamcha!!" Bulma then ran to him and held him puar was behind her "yamcha wake up!" Puar said
Yamcha slowly opened his eyes,his hearing was muffled and his vision was blurry "bulma...puar?" He mumbled
Goku and the other then approached him "is he ok?" Eric asked joining the group "everyone back up" kuroda demanded they all then stepped back
Kuroda put her two fingers up "yamcha how many fingers am I holding?" She asked yamcha squint his eyes "uhh twelve?" He said
Kuroda then saw the blood pouring from his head "he hit his head pretty hard,he's losing blood" kuroda then took off her cape and wrapped it around his head "that should slow it down"
Kuroda then looked at his leg as soon as she touched it and yamcha screamed in pain "his leg is broken he needs medical attention" kuroda informed "n-no I...can still…" yamcha then passed out
"Hey yamcha wake up!" Goku shouted
"We'll take him to the hospital" puar said he then turned into a magic carpet slid under yamcha and floated up "we'll come back as soon as possible" bulma said as she followed puar
Raditz looked at tien 'damn him' everyone then went back to the side lines
"Is he going to be ok dad?" Chichi asked "i hope so" ox king said holding chichi close
Jackie chun looked at tien "is this why you learned martial art to kill and hurt people" he said tien didn't make eye contact with him "no I learned so I could be the best" tien spoke bluntly
"A true martial artist would never injure those who clearly can't fight,how can you be the best if you can't respect the ways" jackie said these words caught tiens attention
The Preliminaries were nothing but light work for the dragon team leaving them as the finalists for the tournament
The first match of the tournament has already been finished leave yamcha beaten and broken and tien shinhan as the winner

A/N:
First thing I would like to say is this offical begins the 22nd world martial arts tournament saga,and yeah I know raditz and kuroda are a little to powerful to be competing but they're suppressing their ki to make it some what fair
Kuroda and raditz are obviously replacing manwolf and pamput from the original dragon ball if you couldn't tell,I'm keeping some of the fights cannon like yamcha vs tien and krillin vs chiaotzu but I'm probably going to have kuroda fight jackie chun and raditz fight goku
I decided to add chichi in early so that goku and her can actually develop a relationship unlike in cannon when they just got married even though goku forgot about her for like six years which I always found dumb,I might even make chichi a z fighter for a while when I get to the dbz part still thinking about it though
