Summer. Time for fun. Get a break from school and enjoy the free time with friends and family. Kurt and Blaine plan to spend a lot of time together. With their friends or family but also just them. The sea, the park, god knows where the summer will take them. This summer they also want to go to a theme park about two and a half hour drive. Blaine said he always wanted to go but never could. Now he can and he's exited. A dream come true. This will be the best summer ever.

"Mom. I go to Kurt's now!" Blaine yells through the house. "Blaine wait a moment before you leave. Can you come here?" his mother answers from the living room "I promise to make it quick so you can go". The curly haired boy puts his bag down at the front door and goes to his mom. Together they sit down on the couch "What's up?". "You know that we just left your father right? I never officially divorced him" Pam says and when she sees her son nod she continues "Now I want to do that. Only then he's really out of our lives".

"I just wanted to tell you so you're prepared. This is all a bit complicated with your dads behaviour but the lawyer will make sure you're staying with me but for that I most likely have to go to court. Maybe I have to go to Westerville from time to hime or your father and his lawyer will come here" she explains.

"I know this is a lot to take in but I just want to be clear about a few things. We will still enjoy some time together this summer. You don't have to see your dad if you don't want to. We can get you to Kurts before he comes or you could sleep at Kurts if it's okay with the Hudson-Hummels. What are you saying?"Pam looks at her son who says "I really hope we can spend some time together and I definitly don't want to see my dad. I'll ask Kurt if they are okay with this whole sleeping over thing. Thanks for telling me but if you don't mind I would go to Kurts now and clear my head a little" he stands up and takes his bag on his way out.

He takes a deep breath before turning right in Kurts direction. Today they just wanted to hang out in the garden because everyone else is out until the afternoon. Once at Kurts Blaine closes his eyes and takes another deep breath. The little walk didn't help much. He can't think about anything else than his dad and the divorce. Having the summer of his life is out of question now.

The curly haired boy knocks on the door and within seconds Kurt opens the door. It takes his one look at Blaine to realize "Honey what's wrong?". Blaine laughs quietly "You know me too well". "I'm your boyfriend. Of course I do" Kurt answers and pulls the other boy inside to close the door again. "Let's go to the farden. I already prepared snacks and put the soda in the fridge" he says and peeks his boyfriend on the lips "And then we talk and you tell me what happened".

"No wait" Blaine laughs. A real laugh. "Before we do anything" he puts his bag down "Hi". "Hey" Kurt answers laughing. "Hey" Blaine repeats and closes the gap between them to greet his boyfriend properly with a kiss.

A few minutes later they sit on the blanket, talk, drink and eat. "So. What hapened?" Kurt asks. He looks at his boyfriend worried as Blaine needs a moment to find the right words. "My mom never officially divorced my dad so he's technically still a part of our life. Now he wants to get a divorce which means she'll be in Westerville some time and my dad here. They also have to go to court so my mom gets custody for me" Blaine tells.

"Which means the perfect summer you wanted is not happening the way you wanted" Kurt assumes and the curly haired boy nods. He sighs "I also have a question or two. If it's not too much my mom had the idea that we spend some extra time together and second thing is that maybe I coupld sleep here from time to time when my dad comes here because I don't know when he comes in the morning when I would still be there or stay late when I would come home". "Of course you can B. Let me ask my dad about the sleep over thing but he won't say no and I never say no to some extra time with you" Kurt smiles.

Burt knows what happened to Blaine and Pam in Westerville so when Blaine and Kurt tell him about the divorce and the sleep over idea he can't possibly say no. Blaine will stay on the guest mattress in Kurts room and the door will stay open of course but he won't let Blaine walk into his dad if they can find a way around that. He and Carol also talk to Pam and offering help if she needs it with whatever it is they can do.

Just like that the summer goes by. Day by day, week by week. Almost every day the friends do something together. At the lake, at one of their houses or in the park. They don't manage to go to the theme park tho but maybe sometime else. They go swimming, picnicing and hanging out. On days they don't Blaine comes over to Kurts and they do something by themselves. About two days every week Blaine stays over at the Hudson-Hummel house.

The first time he did he was really nervous but also exited. His first time staying over at someone elses house and even better at his boyfriends house. Finally he gets to have a sleep over he never got in Westerville. He already spend most of the day there, playing games and hanging out with Kurt and Finn. Since Carol hasa night shift and Kurt cooks he helps too prepare dinner. He eats with Kurt, Finn and Burt and helps cleaning the table.

Burt goes to bed early. He has to get up early because of work but the three boys stay up longer and watch a movie. Around one am they stop after the second movie and decide to call it a day. Finn says goodnight to the other boys and goes up to his room. Kurt and Blaine go to Kurts room shortly after but before Blaine can get comfortable on the mattress Kurt pats on the free space on his bed. "Let's talk some more" he says, sitting crosslegged on the bed.

They talk. About everything and nothing. They laugh, carelessly. Like everything is perfect. Everything is normal. Nothing is going on with the Anderson family. It's 2.30 when the boys slowly get tired and want to lay down in bed and cuddle. But they come that far because before they can there's a knock at the door frame and Burt says "I don't care who sleeps who but one of you takes the mattress and the other the bed".

Both boys grimace before Kurt peeks his boyfriend on the lips and stands up, leaving the bed to his boyfriend. Satisfied Burt turns around and goes to the kitchen to get the glass of water he woke up for. "You can sleep here you know? I can sleep on the mattress" Blaine says but the older boy shakes his head "No I'm fine. Let's sleep". "Okay. Goodnight" Blaine whispers, cuddling under the covers and taking in Kurts smell. "Goodnight" Kurt mumbles back and quickly both boys fall asleep.
