Krillin opened his eyes and found himself in a strange place, the ground was made out of yellow clouds and the sky was pink, he also looked up and saw a halo above his head "well this is weird" he said to himself.
"Krillin is that you?" Krillin looked to his right and saw yamcha and kuroda, "what are you guys doing here?" Krillin questioned "Where is here?" Yamcha asked, "We are in other world." the group turned around and saw kami behind them, "this is where everyone goes when they die. Now follow me we must go somewhere" he explained as he began walking off, and the three others followed.
"Wait, you guys died?!" Krillin shouted, "yeah I had to sacrifice myself for the twins and kuroda took that vocado guy with her when she died, but I overall think the z fighters won as always" Yamcha said with a thumbs up.
"Losing three people is not a win Yamcha" kami said, "well at least the earth is still in one piece right?" Yamcha questioned, "for now, three more saiyans will arrive on earth in a year's time and apparently they are stronger than the ones you faced before" kami explained.
Kuroda gave a blank stare of fear, she knew exactly who kami was talking about when he mentioned the three saiyans.
"Wait, are you serious? We could barely beat them and now three more are coming, what are we supposed to do?!" Yamcha shouted, "the others have already began training so you won't need to worry about them" Kami said.
Krillin noticed that Kuroda hadn't said anything the whole time, "um kuroda are you okay?" Kuroda looked at krillin and then the ground, she nodded and walked a little bit faster trying to distance herself from krillin.
"So where are we going kami?" Kuroda asked, "to king yemma, he is the one that decides who goes to heaven or hell. Usually people don't keep their bodies when they die but you guys are a special case".
"And why is that?" Yamcha asked, "You will see soon," Kami said as they began approaching the check-in station. They walked inside and saw a colossal size ogre with red skin, a beard and a helmet with two horns sitting at a huge desk.
"Uh, is that king yemma?" Krillin asked terrified of the huge ogre in front of him, "yes that's him, please treat him with respect and don't say anything out of line" kami fretted, "don't worry kami we're not Goku we think before we speak" Yamcha joshed.
"Ah kami you old bastard I haven't seen you in years has your time come yet?" King Yemma said jokingly, kami chuckled "no not yet, but my friends here unfortunately there time has come for now at least" kami said gesturing towards the three z fighters behind him.
King Yemma stared down the three of them, "state your names" he said, krillin was the first to step up "um the name is krillin" krillin said still shook by King Yemmas presence. King Yemma started flipping through his book "ah yes, Krillin, your story has been very interesting, sad to see it end… Next".
"Yamcha" Yamcha said stepping up next, King Yemma flipped through his book again "Yamcha, a family man who died protecting his children, respect… And you young lady" he said, looking towards kuroda.
"Kuroda" she said softly, "hm let's see here… ah yes kuroda you-" king yemma rubbed his eyes and put his glasses on not believing what he was seeing "saved two planets before the age of 18...impressive, well it looks like all of you have done heroic deeds you all can go to heaven".
"Well that's the thing king yemma I was wondering if you could let my friends here go to King Kai's" kami said nervously, "and why would I let them do that?" King Yemma asked, crossing his arms.
"Saiyans will be at our planet in a years time to destroy it and if these three don't train with King Kai the saiyans will win" kami explained, "ah saiyans those mischievous little bastards" king yemma then looked towards kuroda "oh uh no offense", "none taken" kuroda said back.
King Yemma let out a sigh "If you think they can make it then sure they can go, but you're doing the paperwork. I'll make sure they'll get a guide to snake way", Kami bowed down "thank you king yemma I'm very grateful".
"You better be, wait over there your guide will be here shortly" King Yemma said pointing towards a couple benches on the wall. The three sat down with Kami standing next to them, "hey Kami, who is King Kai and why are we going to him?" Krillin asked.
"King Kai is the northern Kai of this universe, he's a martial arts teacher. If anyone can train you for this it would be him, but I must warn you his training is very difficult so do be prepared for it"
"I guess we have no choice but to be prepared for it" Yamcha commented, "how will we get back after we're done?" Kuroda asked, "When you are finished, tell King Kai to contact me telepathically, when he does we will wish you all back with the dragon balls".
A blue ogre with glasses who will be to referred as the guide drove up in a small car, he lifted the roof up and stepped out "all of you follow me and I'll take you to snake way, unfortunately there isn't enough room for us all so the tallest is probably going to have to sit on the roof" the guide said with a smile.
The three began to follow the guide, kuroda turned around quickly "king yemma did you ever meet two saiyans, a woman named gine and a man named bardock" she asked, "hm give me a moment" king yemma then began flipping through his book.
"Ah yes gine kept her body and she was the only saiyan to make it to heaven, and we let bardock and his squad keep their bodies for trying to stop Frieza before they died but unfortunately I still had to send them to hell" king yemma explained.
Kuroda had a faint smile on her face "am I able to see them?" She asked, "Heaven is in the sky, you'll see it when you make your way to snake way, you can go to hell if you want to but it's a dangerous place and it's filled with dangerous people so go at your own risk" king yemma said.
"Thank you King Yemma'' Kuroda bowed and continued to follow the guide, "alright two of you get in and the tallest on the roof" the guide instructed, kuroda and krillin both got in the comedically small car squishing uncomfortably close to each other, the guide hopped in the car and lowered the roof, Yamcha sighed and sat on the roof. The guide started the car and they began making their way towards snake way, "good luck!" Kami shouted as he watched the car take off.
Back on Earth
Piccolo and the kids stood in a wasteland-like area, with bizarre rock formations and many plateaus. "As you all know the saiyans will be here in a year's time, so I'll be giving you the training of your life, if you fall behind you'll die so don't slack off, understand?".
"Yes sir" the kids said in unison, Piccolo began cracking his knuckles "your first lesson starts now" he charged at the children catching them off guard.
Piccolo kicked Mitsu in the side sending her flying, Mitsu could feel the wind blowing past her as she flew back, her eyes then went wide as she saw a giant ki blast approaching her, she put her arms in front of her face preparing for the blast.
The boys couldn't process what just happened until they heard the explosion from the ki blast behind them and saw Mitsu tumble on the ground. "Mitsu! You're going to pay for that!" Trunks shouted as he shot a ki blast at Piccolo, Piccolo swatted the blast sending it into the sky causing it to explode in the sky.
Goten charged at Piccolo from behind and put him in a full nelson, "Trunks I got him!" He shouted, "alright hold him still" he said, swinging his fist towards Piccolo's face.
Piccolo smirked and vanished causing trunks to punch Goten in the face, "ow trunks why did you hit me we're on the same side!" Goten cried, "how was I supposed to know he was going to do that?" Trunks said trying to comfort his best friend.
Piccolo appeared above the two and rained a volley of ki blast at them, the duo screamed in unison as they saw the volley rush towards them. They attempted to rush towards Piccolo and maneuver through the rain of ki blast, but the boys couldn't keep up and were eventually caught in it blasting them back towards the ground.
"Goten, Trunks!" Gohan shouted as he watched them hit the ground, Gohan gave out a painful cry as he felt a sharp pain in his back that sent him hurling towards the ground.
Gohan rebounded off the ground and stumbled into a battle stance, piccolo blitz behind Gohan and attempted to swing at him, Gohan ducked under his fist and sent piccolo staggering back with an uppercut.
Mitsu shouted as she charged and headbutted Piccolo in the stomach, and followed up with a kick to the side of the face, Piccolo grabbed Mitsu by the foot and threw her at Gohan.
Gohan caught Mitsu and sat her down, "hey are you okay?" He asked, Mitsu nodded her head, "yeah dad taught me how to take a few blast during our training" she said with a smile, Goten and Trunks landed beside them, "anyone got any ideas?" Goten asked, "yeah I've got one just follow my lead" trunks said.
Trunks and Goten charged in and began attacking Piccolo from both sides, they both then backed off as Gohan shot a ki blast at Piccolo.
Piccolo jumped in the air "is that all you've got?!" He shouted, "wolf fang fist!" Piccolo looked beside him and received a palm to the face from Mitsu, Mitsu then finished off her wolf fang fist with a punch to the chest that sent piccolo crashing into the ground.
Piccolo slowly stood up 'they are stronger than I expected', "having a tough time piccolo?" Goku asked landing down next to him, "why are you here, shouldn't you be looking for broly and upa?" Piccolo questioned.
"Raditz, Tien, and Chiaotzu are doing that, so I wanted to help you train the kids", "thanks but I don't need any help" Goku grabbed onto Piccolo's shoulder and gave him a serious glare "It wasn't an offer".
Piccolo saw a side of Goku that he had never seen before, he saw determination in his eyes and it made him uncomfortable, "fine, but you better not hold back we need to go all out if we plan on fighting these saiyans" piccolo said.
"Dad, what are you doing here?" Gohan asked, "I'm here to help you train with piccolo and neither of us will be holding back so go all out alright?" Goku said, Gohan noticed the change of attitude from his father, he seemed more serious than usual.
Goku felt his stomach rumbling, "It would be better to train at my place, I don't like training on an empty stomach hehe. You guys wanna eat before we train?" Goku asked, "yeah!" The kids shouted joyfully, "no we don't have time for any of that we gotta train now" piccolo said sternly.
"Kids can't fight on an empty stomach, piccolo come on after we eat we'll train I promise, please piccolo" Goku pleaded, piccolo looked at the kids, they were making puppy faces to make piccolo feel bad and it worked.
"Fine but let's make it quick" Piccolo said reluctantly, "alright guys let's go, imma show you guys how to catch a fish" Goku exclaimed as he, Piccolo and the kids took off to look for food.
Tien and Chiaotzu were flying through the sky approaching upa's village which was underneath Korin's Tower, they landed inside the village and immediately began to get weird looks from the townsfolk.
"We mean no harm, we are here looking for upa we are friends of his" Tien announced, "you can find him near chief Bora's house he's training the children, keep going straight and you will find it, it's the biggest hut you can't miss it" a villager informed him, "thank you" Chiaotzu said as they walked towards Bora's house.
Tien and Chiaotzu saw the hut the man was talking about, "wow that is a big hut" Chiaotzu said, and Infront of it was upa trying to train the children how to use ki, upa saw his friends and smiled "that's enough training for today you all go home and practice" the kids then took off towards their homes.
"Tien, Chiaotzu, what brings you here?" Upa asked "a lot has happened, saiyans like kuroda, Goku, and raditz landed here and tried to take them, they refused, they killed krillin and took Gohan and Goten. After that we had to fight them and unfortunately we lost Kuroda and Yamcha but now more saiyans are coming in a year and we need to train".
"That's awful, I will be at the lookout in a few minutes. I must tell father this" upa said, "alright we'll meet you at the lookout" Tien and Chiaotzu then took off towards the lookout.
Broly was in the forest training with his katana, he stood in front of a tree with his katana sheathed, he quickly charged at the tree unsheathing his katana and sliced the tree down causing it to fall.
As he sheathed the blade he didn't feel right, he felt like this blade wasn't meant for him but for someone else, "Broly" Broly turned around to the sound of his name being called and saw Raditz land in front of him.
"Raditz I'm surprised too see you here, what is it?" Broly questioned, "more saiyans showed up, they killed krillin, kuroda, and Yamcha. We killed them and now more saiyans are coming in a year" Raditz said, trying to keep the story short.'' That's terrible, what are y'all planning to do?" Broly said.
"The plan is to train for a year and to bring Kuroda and the others back with the dragon balls before the saiyans get here. Me and you are going to train together" Raditz stated.
Broly and Raditz began walking at this point off the conversation, "why do you want to train with me? I thought you hated me" broly assumed. "I don't hate you, and I want to train with you because you have a lot of potential. Gohan told me what you did when we fought garlic Jr and his minions. I want to see that power for myself, it might be useful when we fight Vegeta".
Broly gripped onto his katana tightly thinking about his master and how much he taught him, "I'll train with you if you help me look for a successor for my master's katana", "a successor? Why can't you use it? You know how to wield it well" Raditz asked.
"Yes I know how to wield it but look at me, I'm a big guy, a katana isn't meant for me. Maybe I could pass it on to one of the kids" broly voiced, Raditz began to think a bit "hm, Gohan seems like a good candidate he's a nerd so he probably knows about katanas, Goten and Trunks are way too irresponsible, maybe Mitsu she seems like a good candidate as well".
"Hm I'll think about it thanks for the suggestions. So when should we start training?" Broly asked, "as soon as possible" Raditz responded, "alright, but let's find a better location. I don't want to destroy the forest", "we can go to my house there's a good wasteland over there" Broly and Raditz then took off
At the lookout
Tien, Chiaotzu, Chichi and Upa arrived at the lookout, "ah you've all made it welcome" mr.popo said greeting them, "greetings mr.popo" upa said bowing, "where are the others?" Tien asked, "there's been a change of plans, me and kami will be training you four specifically" popo explained.
"I guess broly and raditz are going to train together then, makes sense" chichi said, "I will go ahead and tell you now this training will not be easy so if you don't think you can handle it you are free to leave now" popo warned.
"I don't intend on leaving, I need to get stronger so I can protect my family" chichi declared, "I'm with chichi, I must protect my village and teach the younger generation" upa said. Tien looked at Chiaotzu, "are you sure you can handle this Chiaotzu?" He asked, "even if I can't I'm staying by your side the whole time Tien"
Chiaotzu's answer shocked Tien, he gave his best friend a smile, "very well then, if no one is going to leave let us begin."
Back in other world
Kuroda, Krillin, and Yamcha were sleeping in the tour guide's car as he talked about his boring life as a tour guide. As this was happening Kuroda was having another vision, the first one she had in a long time.
Kuroda opened her eyes to a green sky and blue grass, she recognized this as namek. 'This is namek but why am I here? This has to be another vision', Kuroda heard commotion behind her, she turned around and her heart nearly dropped.
She saw a burning village, dead namekians all over the place, homes burned and blasted into pieces, and screams of horror in the distance. Kuroda's eyes started to water, her hands began to shake and she fell to her knees seeing this Infront of her.
She watched as multiple figures stepped out of the village, Kuroda's eyes went wide as she saw her worst nightmare right Infront of her, Frieza and his soldiers in the flesh stood right there Infront of her. Kuroda woke up screaming, awakening Krillin and Yamcha, and almost causing the tour guide to drive off the path.
Kuroda started looking around frantically, "where is he?!" She shouted, Krillin quickly grabbed Kuroda's hand, "Kuroda calm down it's just us" he said trying to reassure her, Kuroda calmed herself "thank you krillin" she mumbled, kuroda and krillin look at each other deeply, they then looked at each others hand and blushed.
They both quickly pulled their hands back in embarrassment, "um sorry I was just trying to-" krillin was quickly interrupted by Kuroda, "it's fine krillin thank you… I'm sorry I've been distant from you krillin I've just been thinking about what you said before you died, I've never been told something like that so I didn't know what to say so just give me some time okay...", "Yeah that's understandable" krillin said.
"Is everything okay in there?" Yamcha asked, "everything is fine, your friend just woke up from a nightmare" the tour guide said as he came to a stop "and you woke up at the perfect time because we are here, this is snake way", kuroda and the others stepped out the car and looked in awe seeing the long path way that seemed to have no end.
"Woah that's a long path" krillin said, "we have to travel that?! That's going to take forever!" Yamcha shouted, Kuroda started stretching "well it's time to get started, I think we should run first to save our energy and then we should start flying when we feel like we make a good distance".
"She's way to excited about this" Yamcha sighed, krillin started stretching as well, "yep, but we gotta start eventually we only have a year so we gotta make this quick", "well don't take to long guys" kuroda then started running on the path, "hey wait for us!" Krillin shouted, following after Kuroda, "thanks for the ride Mr.Tour guide, hey guys wait up!" Yamcha yelled running after his friends, "good luck!" The tour guide waved as he watched them take off.
And with that the z fighters began their training for the year to fight off the saiyans Vegeta, Nappa, and Tarble. What will the z fighters learn during their training? And will it be enough to beat the saiyans? Find out next time on the Story Of Kuroda.
A/N:If you were wondering why I cut off the fight scenes it's because I don't like to per long fight scenes that are not important to the story and I like to focus on interactions between characters when a main fight isn't happening, so there's going to be a lack of fight scenes during these upcoming chapters.
I'm going to split this training arc into about two or three chapter with each chapter covering each group, that includes Piccolo, Goku and the kids, the earthlings (Upa, Chiaotzu, Tien, and chichi), the snake way gang, and last but not least broly and raditz. The snake way gang will probably be at king kai's planet faster than Goku in the original because they are stronger.
As you can see Kuroda and Krillin's relationship is developing, it's slow but it's developing so get ready for that. Also it's been awhile since Kuroda had a vision so I decided to give her one and Frieza killing the Namekians was the perfect play for the future.
Also sorry for the long wait I've been going through a lot and just got stuck while writing but I think I can start uploading chapters more consistently now.
There are not going to be power levels until the saiyans arrive because of all the training.
