Goku breathed hard from his previous training sessions, he had been training non stop for weeks, letting his aggression towards his friends that lied to him for year's out.

"Goku are you still here, I made you lunch" Chichi said as she found her husband breathing heavily, Goku gave Chichi an intense look "What do you want Chichi can't you see I'm busy".

"Oh your talking to me that's an improvement. I just came to bring you lunch I know you're hungry you always are"

Goku looked at the food he was extremely hungry but he felt like he didn't deserve to eat and that he needed to train harder, "I don't need it, I need to keep training" Goku began shadow boxing.

"Goku you haven't been home in days you need to eat"

"I don't need it!" Goku smacked the plate out of Chichi's hands.

"What the hell is wrong with you Goku? Are you that upset that you would attack your wife for trying to feed you?"

Goku didn't respond he just kept shadow boxing the air.

"I know you're upset because Roshi and the others lied to you but that's no reason to treat your family this way, we've all missed you Goku especially Goten he's been upset for days. He thinks you hate him Goku, is that how you feel? Do you hate your family now?"

Goku punched a hole through a tree

"Of course not! Why would you ask me a stupid question like that?"

"Then why won't you talk to us Goku" Chichi walked up to her husband and cupped his face, "Talk to me Goku, why are you so upset?".

"You wanna know why I'm upset? Fine I'll tell you. First some Saiyans from Kuroda and Raditz's past show up kill my best friend and take my kids and what can I do about it? Nothing because I'm weak. Then I train for a year to fight some more Saiyans and watch most of my friends die and then after watching most of my friends die I figure out my master and best friends kept secrets from me for years about my past. I think I have every right to be upset right now!"

"Is this what this is about Goku? Do you think you're weak?", Goku looked at the ground, "All I want to do is protect you, Gohan and Goten, but I can't every time I've tried I've failed", Chichi hugged Goku tightly, "We're still here Goku, you do a great job of protecting us and your a great father, we just want you to come home".

Goku hugged Chichi back

"I'm sorry Chichi, it won't happen again. Come on let's go home"

Goku picked Chichi up and carried her home

When Goku and Chichi got home they saw Roshi, Yamcha, Bulma, Krillin and Kuroda standing outside, Goku stopped in his tracks and put Chichi down, "What the hell are they doing here?" Goku asked.

"Kakarot they just wanna talk" Kuroda said trying to calm her brother, "You brought them here? I don't want to talk to them, there's nothing to talk about" Goku grumbled, "Look Goku I know you're upset with us but we are all sorry for lying to you" Bulma said.

"You can be sorry all you want, I'll never forgive you" Goku walked past them and was heading inside his house, but Kuroda jumped in front of him, "Kakarot I understand your upset but you have to understand it from their perspective, they were trying to protect you. All this hatred is not going to do anything but tear us apart, do you really want that?".

Goku walked past Kuroda and went inside his house, Krillin sighed in disappointment, "I guess this isn't the best time to tell him me and Kuroda are together now huh?".

"I'm sorry guys I thought he would be willing to speak with you guys at least" Chichi said, "We'll get out of your hair now Chichi I think we've caused enough trouble, I guess we just have to accept the fact that Goku won't forgive us" Roshi said.

"Aw man this sucks, I can't live the rest of my life with Goku hating me I'm going to feel awful" Yamcha moaned, "Where's Gohan and Goten I'd like to say hey to them before I leave" Krillin said.

"Oh they aren't here, Gohan took Goten, Tai and Yuki to go see the statue reveal in Satan City"

"Oh yeah I remember the kids telling me about that, I'm pretty sure they're making their way over there. Gohan's been spending a lot of time with Yuki lately huh, how do you feel about Yuki Chichi? Do you like her?" Bulma asked.

"I mean she's sweet and very shy, I can tell she likes Gohan but I feel like Gohan is a little too young for a relationship, he's only nine years old" Chichi said.

"I don't think there's anything to worry about Chichi, Gohan is a smart kid he won't do anything stupid I'm pretty sure"

"I hope your right"

Gohan, Tai, Goten and Yuki were walking the streets of Satan City, around them were a bunch of decorations, concession stands and multiple carnival like games.

Goten was eating some cotton candy out of a bag "Man this place is sweet", Tai was eating a bag of popcorn "Yeah and they've got a bunch of games to play too, I wonder what we should do?" He said with a mouth full of popcorn.

"Hey look they got that high striker game over there, can we play Gohan?" Goten asked, "Go ahead we'll be around the area when you guys are done" Gohan answered, "Alright let's go Tai" Goten and Tai ran off to go participate in the fun.

Gohan looked at Yuki and could see the uncomfortable look on her face, "Hey you wanna get some ice cream?", Yuki let out a smile "That sounds good", the two walked over to a ice cream stand and got some ice cream, they then sat down on a bench.

They sat in silence a bit but Gohan spoke to spark a conversation.

"Are you having fun?"

"Oh um yeah it's pretty fun I'm just not used to so many people"

"That's understandable"

"Thank you for inviting me it's nice to see you again"

"Yeah it's nice seeing you too"

Goten and Tai ran back with stuffed animals in their hands, "Look at my prize Gohan", "That's cool Goten good job" Gohan patted his little brother on the head, Tai shuffled towards Yuki and held out his stuffed animal, "I-I got this for you Yuki…" he mumbled.

Yuki blushed heavily and took the stuffed animal, "Thank you Tai" she mumbled.

"Hey Gohan, Goten"

The group looked and saw Trunks and Mitsu trying to wave them down, "Trunks, Mitsu wassup!" Gohan shouted, "Guys come check this out" Trunks and Mitsu then ran in a direction towards a gathering crowd.

"What do you think is going on?" Yuki asked, "I don't know but might as well go find out" Gohan and the others approached the crowd, in the middle of the crowd was a nine year old girl with black pink tails challenging people to fight.

"Whoever can beat me in a fight gets one thousand zeni from my father Mr.Satan" The girl said, the crowd gasped but no one stepped forward. "Who is that?" Goten asked, "That's Videl Satan, Hercule Satan's daughter. She's really good at martial arts. I heard she can beat grown ups up" Mitsu explained.

"That's pretty impressive but I don't think she should be trying to pick fights with people though" Gohan said

"You guys are all chicken, you can't fight a little girl?" Videl mocked the crowd, a young man stepped up to the nine year old, "Your telling me all I have to do is beat you and get one thousand zeni?" He asked, Videl nodded in response.

The young man cracked his knuckles, "Piece of cake" the young man swung at Videl, Videl ducked under his punch and kicked him in the gut knocking the wind out of him, the man then fell to the ground unconscious.

"Who else wants some?" Videl egged on the crowd

"Hey that was uncalled for, you shouldn't be using martial arts to start fights" Gohan stepped up, "And who do you think you are wise guy?" Videl asked, "My name is Gohan, I come from a family of martial artist and one thing I learned from my family is that you should never pick fights"

"A family of martial artists huh? So what you think because you know more than me you can tell me what to do?" Videl said getting into Gohan's face.

"N-No I didn't say that at all"

"Hey don't yell at my brother! He could beat you up if he wanted to, he's super strong!" Goten shouted

"Oh yeah well I'd like to see him try" Videl stepped back and got into a combat stance "Come at me then Gohan", Gohan started backing away, "What? No I don't want to fight you", "Fine then I'll make the first move!" Videl charged at Gohan and threw a kick towards his head.

Gohan grabbed Videl's foot with ease, "Please stop", Videl spun around and attempted to kick Gohan with her other foot, but her foot hit nothing but air as he seemingly disappeared.

Videl looked around frantically, "Where the hell did he go?" Videl turned around and little did she know Gohan was keeping his back to hers and turned with her, the crowd began laughing at Videl, Videl turned around and tried to punch Gohan.

Gohan pushed her fist out of the way and swept Videl's legs causing her to fall to the ground hard, the crowd gasped as she hit the ground, "Oh are you okay" Gohan held out his hand trying to help Videl.

Videl slapped his hand out of her way, "I don't need your help!" She shouted and then ran away, the crowd began to disperse as Videl left. "Nice job Gohan you sure showed her" Goten boasted, "I wasn't trying to fight her, I hope I didn't hurt her feelings or anything" Gohan said.

"Who cares, she was the one that started it" Trunks said, "Guys let's hurry up they're about to reveal Mr.Satan's statue!" Mitsu shouted as she pulled on Trunks arm, "Okay okay let's go" Trunks said.

The group followed the crowd, a man stood in front of the crowd on a podium, behind the man was what seemed to be a giant statue that was covered with a giant cloth "Who's that guy Gohan?" Tai asked, "I think that's the mayor," Gohan answered.

"Citizens of Satan City, we are here to celebrate the finalization of the construction of this city with our wonderful statue of our champion Mr.Satan!"

The crowd started cheering after hearing their champion's name, "And now I present to you our champion Hercule Satan!" Hercule stepped onto the stage with Videl at his side, Hercule waved at the crowd as they cheered and approached the podium.

"Thank you mayor, I'm very proud and honored to be among all of you today and unveil this important monument to you all"

Multiple figures grab the giant cloth preparing to pull it off.

"Pull it down boys!"

They pulled off the cloth and revealed the giant statue of Mr.Satan.

"Satan, Satan, Satan!" The crowd cheered

Videl began walking off the stage and away from all the commotion, Gohan noticed this and tried to exit the crowd, "Hey guy I be right back I have to use the bathroom" He said as he left.

Videl walked into an alleyway, sat on the ground and let a deep breath out, "Are you okay?" Gohan asked. Videl jolted up, shocked by Gohan's presence, "What the hell are you doing here? Did you come back for your money?" She asked.

"No I just wanted to see if you're okay, you're not celebrating with your dad how come?".

Videl sat back on the ground, "I don't care about that stupid statue or this stupid city, ever since he became champion he barely pays attention to me" Videl explained, "And that's why you pick fights? So he can notice you" Gohan assumed.

"Wow you catch on quick".

"I know how you feel, my dad recently hasn't been paying attention to me and my brother either, but I know deep down he still loves us and I'm pretty sure you're dad loves you a lot"

Videl smiled a little, "Thanks Gohan, I appreciate that", "No problem, well I gotta go see you later" Gohan started walking away, Videl stood up and shouted "Wait I have a question", Gohan turned around, "Wassup?".

"Who trained you?"

"A lot of people helped train me, my dad, Mr. Piccolo, aunt Kuroda, Uncle Raditz".

"Wait a minute, Raditz and Kuroda? You mean the 22nd and 23rd world martial arts champions?"

Gohan nodded his head, "Yep that's them"

"Kuroda is literally my idol, do you think you can get her to train me?"

Gohan scratched his head nervously, "Oh well we kinda have to go out of town soon for a emergency so I don't think she'll be able to"

Videl looked at the ground in disappointment, "Oh I see…"

Gohan felt bad for Videl, he couldn't leave her in disappointment like this, "But you should seek out master Roshi, he's pretty tough and when we get back I'll make sure she trains you".

Videl held her pinky out, "Pinky promise", Gohan smiled and wrapped his pinky around hers, "Pinky promise".

Gohan and Goten finally arrived home and saw Goku training outside, they went straight for the door and didn't even try to talk to him because of his recent attitude, "You guys can't say hi to your old man?" Goku asked, the brothers looked back at him in shock.

Goten ran up to his dad and hugged him, "Dad you're talking again!" He cheered as Goku picked him up and messed up his hair, "Dad…are you okay now?" Gohan asked, "I'm better, I'm sorry for treating you all like strangers, it'll never happen again" Goku hugged both of his son's tightly.

"Boy's just in time dinner is ready" Chichi said

"Alright, I'm starving"

The Son family walked in the house and enjoyed their dinner together as a family once again.

Another banger chapter from yours truly, I actually loved this chapter between Goku expressing his feelings and the early introduction of Videl. I think this was a great chapter. Now let me explain why I introduced Videl so early, one reason is because I was originally planning to make Yuki a love interest for Gohan since Gohan is older in this story I thought he would be to old for Videl, but after doing some research I found out that Videl was actually older than Gohan in the original so in this story they're are the same age, so I thought it would be good to introduce her early.

I also wanted to introduce Hercule early because we don't hear a thing about him until the cell saga, if he's so famous we should've heard about him more.

I plan to use Videl in later chapters so she can develop her own story on being a martial artist. Anyway I hoped you enjoyed and thanks for reading
