Anna sighed as she stood before a grave, placing flowers down. She let down her hood and let her blond hair flow free as she looked at the statue. "Please forgive me," Anna said, "but I promise your sacrifice is not in vain." She said, "Your daughter has lived a fulfilling life, and soon, she may let me be a part of it." She smiled. "And my children have grown as well," she said as she looked at the sky, distant thunder ringing in her ears. "But first, I must finish the fight they started. "I must end the war that you inherited."
"I must end the dragon king festival."
The final chapters, part I: Beginning of the end.
In the year X793, two years since humanities victory over the demons of Tartaros, we find Lucy Heartfilia, the former celestial wizard of fairy tale 'welcome to Crocus, the bustling capital of the Fiore kingdom, that after a small delay is once again hosting the Grand magic games, why am I in Crocus you ask well it's a simple answer.'
"Come on, Lucy, wake up," a voice called. It was Katja. She had grown a bit taller. Her hair now reached her shoulders as she leaned back, holding up Plue as she smiled as Lucy yawned. "Michelle already finished breakfast," she said as she smiled.
"I'm waking up," Lucy laughed. "Hold on, kid," Lucy smiled as she looked out the window 'These days, I find myself traveling around the continent with my cousin Michelle Lobster and Katja Neville," she smiled, "though I must admit I do miss the old place" Lucy smiled at the memory 'the feeling of quiet, till I went into the living room' she then went into the living room for a brief moment she saw Natsu and Happy sitting on the couch eating chips Wendy reading a book Erza and Gray behind them talking with Juvia attached to Gray's arm. However, the image faded, being replaced by Michelle.
"Morning, sleepy head," Michelle said. "Hope you're hungry."
"huh, oh yeah," Lucy said, smiling, slapping herself. "Come on, gang," she smiled, "it's time to take on the day."
"Yeah," Michelle and Katja screamed. as they began their morning routine
"Here," Lucy said as she handed Katja some water. "Flowers can't bloom without water," she said, winking.
"Nor can they bloom without stretching," Michelle said as she did her morning stretches.
"Be careful, Michelle," Lucy said as the girl fell over, which caused her and Katja to laugh as they started to get dressed.
"Come on," Katja said. "We're going to miss the start," she giggled as she ran through the door.
"I'm glad she's excited, but let's be real, the games have been nothing to write home about this year."
"Oh, you never know," Lucy said, "They might surprise you today."
"You said that yesterday, too," Michelle laughed.

"Welcome back to the grand magic games," Lola shouted. "It's me, your host Chapati Lola!" he screamed. "With me is the former member of the magic council and Fiore's favorite celebrity chef, Mr. Yajima."
"Good to be here," Yajima said.
"Today we begin the semi-finals, so it's no surprise that we find Chrisack of team Dullahan back in the ring," he said. "So, will he continue his streak of victory, or will Berrick of team Dwarf Gear snatch that away from him," he said.
"It can go either way," Yajima said, "so we should keep both eyes on this match."
"Wait, why both eyes," Lola asked.
"Come on, Lucy," Katja said. "The match is about to start."
"We're coming," Lucy said as she approached a railing. "It had been a while since she had been in these halls since Chrisack and Berrick started their fight two years ago. She was in this ring fighting for glory and the place she called home, Magnolia. She and her friends had put everything on the line to take their friends home after they got trapped on Tenrou Island for seven years, leaving them at the mercy of the warring guilds. They shed blood, sweets, and tears, and the grand magic games of the year X791 have gone down in history as the best year of the games and probably won't be topped for a long time.
"Lucy," Katja said, pulling the girl out of her thoughts.
"Yeah, kid," Lucy asked. "Fight not to your liking."
"Well," Katja said, "it's okay, I guess."
"What," Michelle asked.
"nothing. Just being here after so long brings back memories."
Flashback
[## fairy tail rising ost##]
"So, you are not going ask how it went," Natsu asked.
"I don't need to," Lucy said, "cause I believed in you."
"One more day," Erza said, "all we have to do is win tomorrow, then we can all go home," Erza said. "After so long, it's hard to imagine.
"We've come so far," Gray said. "Tenrou, the infinity clock, and now this," he said, "all of us have gone through so much," Gray said. "We were humiliated and laughed at."
"Heck, we started at the bottom of the barrel," Elfman laughed, "but I knew you guys could pull through."
"It was a group effort," Natsu said, "but we can't stop now," Natsu said. "I'm taking you all home," Natsu said, "that's a promise."
"You know this is grand," Sting said, "you and Mira here," he said, "you were my heroes," he laughed, "and now I will finally prove I'm stronger than you."
"You say that," Natsu said, "but look at yourself," he said as he forced himself to stand up." What do you have to show for it."
"You're fighting by yourself," Mira said, "all you have is nothing."
"Shut up," Sting shouted. He rushed forward, punching Natsu as everyone watched, gaining his composure. Natsu hit back, making Sting fly back.
"You say you want to beat me," Natsu screamed as he grabbed Sting. "Well, you won't," he shouted, "not like this." he punched him hard as Sting slid back.
"I lost Lector because of you," Sting shouted. "I'll make you pay," he screamed as he punched Natsu again, only for him to be caught by Laxus.
"You good kid," Laxus asked.
"I'm fine," Natsu said as he took a deep breath and rubbed his cheek.
"What?" Sting shouted.
"You stand here by yourself," Natsu said. "But me," he said, "I have my friends behind me," he said, "and as long there here," Natsu said, "I know that they'll have my back."
"You're wrong," Sting said as he started moving forward but stopped. He could see it. He was releasing his magic power, but they stood firm, battered, and injured. Yet, they weren't afraid. 'What was going on?' Sting asked, 'Why aren't they cowering in fear?' he wondered, 'They'd probably just fall over by just blowing on them.' he shook his head. "You strong enough, right?" he looked up into Natsu's eyes as he started to move forward, clenching his fists so hard he felt blood coming from them before falling to his knees. "I can't," he said. "What's wrong with me," he muttered.
"You're afraid," Mira said, coming next to Natsu.
"No, I'm not," Sting shouted. "I don't have any fear," he screamed.
"Sting," Natsu muttered, "There's nothing wrong with fear," he started as Sting stopped.
"What," he asked.
"How else would we learn our weakness?" Mira finished.
"And you need to know them," they said together, "to become a stronger, gentler person," the finished "fear is as natural as feeling joy, anger, or even pain."
"But what matters is what you do with it," Natsu said, "you either let it stop you."
"Or let it remind you how you've grown," Mira finished. "Only then will you be able to find your way." she smiled. "You have to live your life with an open heart," she noticed the tears that he was holding back. "People don't cry 'cause they're weak, Sting," Mira said. "We cry because we've been strong for too long," she said.
"I," Sting stopped looking down. "I admit defeat," he said, looking down, "I can't beat you," as Fairy Tail scored another point, officially winning the grand magic games. As everyone cheered, hugging each other as they started crying. Mavis said nothing and nodded as she watched the sun disappear onto the horizon.
"It's over," Lola called. "The winner of the grand magic games is Fairy Tail," he screamed as fireworks went off.
"I knew those kids would pull it off," Yajima said.
"Against all odds, two," Mato said.
End Flashback
"If I'm being honest," Michelle said. "I think I was spoiled by the first game I went," she laughed, "Honestly, how do you top that," she said. "It was an event that I'll never forget," She said she wasn't the only one who felt that many people felt the same, but of course, the actual games were just as entertaining. "Well, here's to one more day."
"Yeah, I guess," Lucy said as she bumped into someone. For a moment, she thought it was Natsu, but it was someone else.
"Lucy," Michelle asked.
"I'm fine," Lucy said. "Come on; we have the rest of the day to spend in the capital."
Later that night, Lucy and Katja walked the maze of Mercurius before the girl asked a question. "Hey Lucy," Katja asked, "when is Wendy coming back."
"Wendy," Lucy muttered, "there was a name she hadn't thought of in two years. Okay, she was lying. She thought of her every day alongside Natsu and the others. They never left her head. "What do you mean."
"It just," Katja looked to the ground. "I heard about what happened," Katja said. "About her mom, and I'm worried about her. She lost her parents."
"Yeah, she did," Lucy said. "She and Natsu, Gajeel, and Meredy," Lucy said. "After that, they left to train or run away. Honestly, no one knows," she explained. She didn't know what else to say that it was a loaded question. So much she didn't know about why they left.
"But she'll come back, right," Katja asked.
"I," Lucy stopped. Before a smile, "She has to see you again, so yeah, she'll come back," Lucy smiled, "and hopefully for good this time." "Come on; it's getting late. Let's get home," Lucy said. "And don't worry, I'm sure wherever Wendy is, she's thinking of you two."
"Okay," Katja said.
Lucy lay back in her bath, the warm water on her skin as she thought about her friends whom she hadn't seen or spoken to two in a year. 'I needed to move on,' Lucy said. 'The world won't need fairy tail forever, ' she shook her head. 'I can't face them just yet," letting herself get dressed as she walked out.
[##Aquarius gift ost##]
"Hey, Lu," Michelle called. "You sure you're okay."
"Nothing just," Lucy sighed. "Katja asked about Wendy."
"Yeah, I know," Michelle said. "I had to explain to her that Wendy just went away." She leaned on the railing. "Have you talked with anyone from Magnolia?"
"No," Lucy said. "Honestly, I hate how I left," she said, "Besides, we need to learn to follow our paths."
"You're lying," Michelle said.
"Okay, maybe I am," Lucy said, "it's just." She sighed. "I'm afraid, okay," she said as she pulled out Aquariu's broken key. The magic in it was long gone. The memory of summoning the celestial spirit king, a moment that should be huge for her, brought back many painful memories. "I'm scared, Michelle," she said, "scared that everything I love will be taken away from me."
"Lucy," Michelle muttered, "come on, you're just in a bad place right now." she smiled. "This break is just what you need." She placed a hand on her shoulder. "Just relax; everything will be okay," she said as Lucy leaned on her shoulder."Uncle Jude always told me how strong you were, and I believe him; you'll get through this; I know it."
"But what about Katja," Lucy asked
"Well, we can tell her what we know, which is nothing," Michelle said.
"Yeah, but how do we tell her that," Lucy stopped, "that Natsu and Wendy's parents were murdered by an evil dragon that, for all we know, they ran off to fight that thing and probably ended up dead."
"Don't say that."
"But we have to consider it right," Lucy said as she walked away. "It's always a possibility," she whispered. Her mind returned to her Aquarius, her first friend, and how she had to choose between her and her friends. How that choice made her question everything about herself
Flashback
"You know," Aquarius said, "a part of me is relieved." She laughed. "Your mother was a fantastic wizard," she smiled at the memory, "the best master I ever had," Aquarius told her, "when she died, and my key was handed to you." She looked at Lucy, who had started crying. "You were nothing like your mother. You were bratty stubborn, you never listen, hell you still don't," Aquarius said. "I loathed you. Still, I had to put up with you because you were Layla's daughter."
"I don't care," Lucy shouted. "You were my first friend."
"So, what?" Aquarius cried. "What's more important to you? You either lose me and save your other friends or keep me and lose them all," she screamed at her. "The choice is obvious, so why can't you? Make it," she yelled at her.
"Because I still need you," Lucy shouted.
"No, you don't," Aquarius said as Lucy pulled out her key. "Not anymore,"
"damn her," Aquarius muttered. "No matter how hard I tried," Aquarius said, "I started." Aquarius stopped. "Seeing you grow, it started to fill me with pride," Aquarius said, "and I want you to know that," Aquarius, I am going to miss you," she said as she placed her head against Lucy's "the one thing I wanted more than anything," Aquarius said "my wish" she whispered "was you," she said as Lucy looked at her "it's true Layla was an amazing master, but you were more than just my master," she told Lucy "you are my friend" she "no matter how long we are apart," she said, "let it be a thousand years from now, you will always be my friend." With tears in her eyes, Aquarius said, " I need you to know that."
"{Open gate of the king}" Lucy cried as Aquarius smiled at her.
"I love you," Aquarius whispered as she vanished.
End Flashback
"It's finally here, folks," Lola said. "The final day of the grand magic games, the day of reckoning, has finally arrived," he screamed. "Eight teams have entered the ring, and now two teams remain, but only one will walk away as this year's champion of the grand magic games," he shouted. "I have my predictions. What about you."
"I can't say," Yajima said.
"What about you, Mato?" Lola asked.
"I'll try pumpkin," Mato laughed.
"This year's games were a little different as we did an elimination-type tournament, and now we have two powerhouses about to go head-to-head. Team Dullahan and Team Scarmiglione will face off for the gold."
"Who do you think is going to win," Katja asked.
"Well, Dullahan has been taking the competition at every match," Michelle said.
"It's going to be a blowout," Lucy said.
"Don't count out Scarmiglione like that, Lu," Michelle said. "They are the masters of come-from-behind victories.
"That's what I meant," Lucy said as she looked over. "I mean, there's luck, then there's a coincidence," she explained. "My best guess is that they've been hiding their power to make the other teams lower their guard," she said, "It's an advanced trick that high caliber wizards do," she said, "not to show off mind you, it's just their magic power can be so large it can frighten others" she sighed "I have first-hand experience with it."
"Well, you are one of the strongest wizards in Fiore," Michelle said.
"Wow, really," someone asked.
"Yeah, while she may not be a wizard saint," Katja said, "my big cousin is super strong." Scarmiglione had taken down team Dullahan in a flash, proving Lucy's theory correct as the audience cheered.
"Wow, I did not see that coming," Lola said.
"Who could have," Yajima said in a bored voice.
"Free pumpkins for all"
"Wow, your cousin was right; that was a blowout," another person said.
"Dang it, I knew I shouldn't have bet on Dullahan," another said.
"Worked like a charm," a member said as the leader laughed.
"The current champions of the grand magic games team Scarmiglione," Lola shouted as their leader laughed.
"That was an interesting match," Michelle muttered.
"Yeah, interesting," Lucy said as she leaned forward before a presence came over her. "That's." She then stood up.
"Lucy," Michelle asked.
"Michelle, get Katja out of here now," she said. "Somethings coming," she said as a hooded figure entered the arena. Everyone looked; even Yajima, who had checked out, looked up. He, too, could sense the immense magic power coming from the person as someone else followed, much like the person in front. They had a large amount of magic power.
"Who the hell are you," a member of Scarmiglione asked.
"You got guts, friend, but you seem to be lacking in brains," another said.
"Could it be those mysterious wizards in black," another asked.
"Ladies and gentlemen, a mysterious man has entered the ring," Lola said as the person relaxed as a giant heat wave showered the arena.
"Everyone needs to run now," Lucy shouted. "I need a wizard who can fight," she said. As she stopped, a familiar presence came over her. "Wait, this wind, and is that heat," she asked as she stopped.
"So, you're the champion of the grand magic games, huh," the hooded person asked.
"Who's asking," the leader asked.
"A Challenger," the person shouted as they unleashed a significant fire attack, hitting the entire group. He was generating as the area started to melt under the heat.
"Wait, fire magic," Lucy said.
"Hold to you, that's," Lola shouted, "and your clothing, the entire stadium melting like butter."
"Long time no see, Lucy," a voice called Lucy turned to see Happy, now wearing an orange jacket with white stripes, and Carla.
"How have you been," Carla asked.
[## fairy tail main theme 2014 ver. ost##]
"Happy, Carla," Lucy said. "Then that means." The two people took off their hoods, revealing themselves to Natsu Dragneel and Wendy Marvel, two members of the now-revived dragons of Ishgar.
"It's Natsu Dragneel and Wendy Marvel," Lola shouted.
"Wow," Yajima screamed.
"Pumpkin"
"Well, yes," Carla said.
"Natsu wanted to fight whoever won the games this year," Happy said.
"Fighting may be generous," Carla said. "They don't look like they're winning."
"Who else wants a piece?" Wendy shouted as she attacked. Her wind-making Natsu flames grew even more prominent when they combined their attacks as every wizard from the games jumped into the ring.
"Take them down."
"hell yeah," Natsu and Wendy shouted. "We're all fired up," they screamed as they unleashed another attack.
"What are they."
"This heat"
"I feel like I'm on fire."
"Their monsters run."
"Well, that was quick," Carla muttered, "and disappointing."
"You idiots," another person called. It was Meredy, her hood still covering her face, and her clothes seemed to be the only thing not melting under Natsu's heatwave; she was followed by Rossello, who laughed. "I said not to draw attention to yourselves." She screamed as she looked over. "Oh, Lucy didn't see you there," she said, smiling.
"Sorry," Wendy said as she waved her hands, using her wind to cool off the area. Natsu glanced at Lucy. Wendy saw her. "Oh hey, Lu."
"How have ya been," Natsu said
A million words went through Lucy's head before she felt a smile reach her face as she looked at her two best friends, whom she hadn't seen in two years. Sure, they looked different. Their hair had grown longer, much longer, and they looked like Gildarts did when she first met him, but they were here; they were alive. As the words finally came out.
"Pretty good."
