Chapter 11
Cyrannus System Helios Delta
Sigurd (Moon of Ragnar)
LT Geri Casar (Silk) and ECO Ensign Laura Wysohi (Turtle)
LT Debbie Brown (Slider) ECO LT JG Wilma Sherridan (Timbers)
There had been a battle by the entrance of Ragnar Anchorage. What looked to be large number of Raiders and around a dozen Vipers had been destroyed. Weirdly the Vipers appeared to be Mark II. Possibly a SDF using whatever they could scrape up. There was no sign of the Galactica or it's civilian fleet. Ragnar Anchorage itself had been destroyed. They were getting ready to leave when they picked up a very faint Colonial distress signal. Why anyone would bother to be at this moon who knows but best to look.
"Silk I have found the source of the distress signal" said Ensign Laura Wyshoi (Turtle). "It is an emergency vacsuit distress signal. It's almost out of power." Which means the person in the suit is almost certainly dead.
LT Casar went towards the direction indicated and they found the lifeless body. Bringing it on the Raptor looking at the readings the woman in the suit had thankfully died of wounds long before suffocating. The ship badge showed that she was from the Aerilon collier ship Aglaea. Unlikely that a badly wounded crewmember would be far from their ship. It's possible the Aglaea could have jumped away but it's a lead no mater how small.
"Turtle you and Timbers look for the Aglaea or any other Colonial ship. They would likely have a lot of damage and might be destroyed" said LT Casar. It took over an hour but they did find it. The Aglaea was definitely not fixable as a ship. Checking the readings though they did notice one thing.
"We need to tell Limes about this ASAP" said LT Casar. "Slider you go and tell him what we found I will stay here and see if we can get any more info."

Naval Auxiliary Ship Epsiki
Major Limaki "Limes" was in charge of the now 4 ship flotilla while Colonel Marton was overseeing the Badger and the upcoming abandonment of that base. This news though is almost as important. The two Raptors had found an active radiological and there was no signs it was from damage. This would mean there is certainly a nuclear missile or missiles and likely other ammunition onboard. Whether they are salvageable or not is the big question. This would take far more people and time than could fit on a Raptor. That only leaves one choice.
"Captain Talbot you are to take the Atlis and salvage as much supplies with any nuclear weapons having critical priority. If possible you are to see if any information can be gleaned from the Aglaea" said Major Limaki. Hopefully any information regarding other SDF ships could be picked up but looking over the damage (with the CIC destroyed) made that less likely.

Naval Auxiliary Ship Atlis
Captain Zoe Talbot (Carrot) had taken a somewhat unusual career track in the Colonial Navy. When she joined she was had been a technician assigned to the Battlestar Yashuman. She had quickly moved up the ranks and her CO had realized her potential. Becoming a "Mustang" while not impossible is difficult. But if there is one thing that the Colonial Navy needed in abundance it was pilots. She became a Viper pilot and when the Kestrel met it's unfortunate demise she like the others ended up on the Chiron. With the need for bridge trained officers she was promoted to Captain and assigned to the Atlis. Listening to the wireless PO Verdan was going over his final briefing.
"OK everyone the Aglaea won't have any working antigravity. Work safe and make damn sure your magboots lock in place" said Verdan. "We need to work fast but also work smart. I will frakking personally shove my boot up the ass of anyone who fraks up" he said in the kind way of speaking that POs are known for.
PO Verdan had been borrowed from the Epsiki. He was the senior PO available and was the logical choice to lead up this expedition. The destruction the Aglaea had suffered made getting around more challenging than hoped for. The main cargo hold where the ammunition would be stored at took a while to get to. Shit they had definitely gotten lucky here.
"Sir we have about a lot of missiles and ammo here. I estimate it will take us about 8 hours to get everything out" said PO Verdan. Biggest problem is that with antigravity out the loading equipment would be useless. The damage taken by the Aglaea had at least added several more holes to get the crates outside the ship. Thankfully the one shuttle they had with them would be able to carry more crates at a time than the two Raptors that were watching out for Cylons and providing what little protection they had.
"Keep me informed Chief" said Captain Talbot. It was hard not to reiterate about the priority list but PO Verdan would be well aware of this and would do everything possible. One thing she had learned is that when an officer says the obvious it just annoys the people under them. You either don't give someone a job or you let them do it until they show they are not qualified.
"Alright everyone you know what to do. Matt I want you and Cindy to do a sweep of the ship and see if you can find anything of value" said PO Verdan. The secondary list was medical supplies, ship logs, electronic parts, and other similar items. "First person to find the nukes get an extra 10 minutes in the shower." With water limited on the ships this was a very nice prize.
It took a few hours to figure out the best route out of the ship (with cutting through a few walls to help). "Everyone remember weightless does not mean massless" said PO Verdan. The cases and pallets far outweighed any mere human and could easily crush someone. The small repulsors that were used for moving cargo when antigravity is not available would help but only so much. Luckily the 2 nuclear missiles they had found were able to be sent on the first load. They should get everything loaded in 3 trips. Along with the nukes ship missiles and cannon shells were being sent first as those would be the hardest to make. The remaining ship missiles and small missiles used by Raptors and Vipers would be sent next. Then the remaining small missiles and the ammunition used by Vipers and the CIWS used by the Chiron would be last. The search party had found the CO of the Aglaea quarters and bagged up his log book and a decent amount of medical and other useful parts that were being sent with the first load and the secondary Dradis system had escaped destruction so it was decided to have a couple people work on that as well.
Captain Talbot was pleased. The shuttle had just dropped off the last run of ammunition and other supplies. Which is good because her people had been going for a long time especially the Raptor pilots. "Good job everyone. Let's head back home and report to the Major" she said. That they now had the ability to take out a Cylon Baseship (well the Chiron did at least with some luck) would be major advantage.
