Baseship Epsilon 2
Day 12

"Brother Connell we are not picking up any signs of Colonial ships in this system" said the Number 5.

Gary could not be bothered to learn this Doral's first name. He was even more than most of the Fives of a suck up to the Cavils and was barely competent at his job. This mission was useful but he did not understand why it needed a Baseship. This system from the single pass that a Heavy Raider had done appeared to have a multiple tyleum deposits. A mining base would be set up and with his previous experience as a manager (before he betrayed the humans) of a mining asteroid Connell was considered an "expert." The response by the Cavil in charge of this sector other than the expected rude sarcasm was there is a slight chance that there is a Colonial Missilestar or Faststar in the sector along with some small mining organizations.

"Send out half the Raiders along with the Heavy Raiders" said Gary Connell. Hopefully they could find some good mining spots so they could get out of this system.

The next few hours were as boring as Connell expected them to be. A few good if not massive tyleum deposits were found. Then the alarm went off. "Brother Connell we just had a Battlestar jump in" said the Doral seeming almost bored by it.

'Frak half our Raiders are in the wrong spot and we are facing what looks like a Mercury class Battlestar' thought Connell. "Bring our Raiders back here" he said realizing it would be too late.

Day 16

"Sister Godfrey are you telling me that Brother Cavil knew that the Battlestar Rycon was here along with the possibility of other Colonial forces" asked Gary Connell. That he was lied too was annoying enough but the 3 minutes and 18 seconds where he spent on fire while under a heavy beam before Baseship Epsilon 2 had blown up killing him was just as painful to him as someone who would not be able to be reborn.

Kae Godfrey was the Number 6 in charge of Baseship Epsilon 4. Officially all Significant Seven were equal even the Cavils. Unofficially the Ones, Threes, and Sixes all seemed to end up in control due to them having more egos than the other models. This Number 6 seemed smarter than most so Connell didn't really mind.

"Yes the Colonials used this sector as an emergency meeting point if the Cyrannus System was ever under occupation. We have no evidence of other Colonial forces arriving but the Rycon did escape with only minor damage and with almost half it's Vipers" she replied. "I do not know why Brother Cavil did not share that information with you."

Gary Connell thought about his most recent mission. The system they were sent to was unlikely to have the tyleum deposits noticed in a quick pass through by a Heavy Raider looking for Colonial ships. Most likely this system was known to Colonials as a potential mining system and would possibly be checked out by the Rycon. In short he was bait to see if the Rycon was still in this sector. Frakking Cavil. "Well we know the Rycon still exists and is likely here. Next time we will have 5 ships against it's 1."

Day 31

The Raiders had found the Rycon which had apparently picked up a cargo and two mining ships. 'Time for some payback' thought Gary Connell. The Cavil in charge of the 5 ships was giving orders from his Baseship the Beta 3. The Rycon did not appear to want to escape or was trying to buy time for the 3 civilian ships to escape. Whatever the reason they had it cornered.

Epsilon 3 and Beta 4 were both destroyed in the next few minutes and Epsilon 5 lost one of it's upper arms. The Rycon was pounded to scrap and there were no more Vipers or Raptors on screen. That was closer than it should have been mainly due to Cavil's counterproductive orders. "Sister Godfrey the Rycon has just turned to head straight towards us and is heading at flank speed" said the same Doral that had been on his previous Baseship.

'Frak' thought Gary Connell.

Day 31

Gary Connell was glad at least this time his death was fairly quick and painless. About as bad as his first death and a lot better than his second. Still dying sucked.

"I am glad you are back Brother Connell" said a Number Six that appeared to be Kae Godfrey. "One of my sisters did not upload and has been lost" she said.

That was always the unspoken fear that the Significant Seven had. That they would not be able to download or that they would come back "less". "I am sorry Sister" Gary Connell replied. "Which ship was she on?"

"She was on the Rycon undercover. The other Cylon on the Rycon came back she however did not" said Sister Godfrey. The Number Six looked very down about the loss.

Rebirth Chamber
Day 36

Beta 3 had left taking all the Ones, Fours, and Fives. Cavil had told them to look for the three civilian ships that had escaped but for now they were repairing their ship and waiting for all their Raiders to be either fixed or reborn. The notification that a Number 3 was being reborn went off. "Sister Godfrey do you want to come with me to the Rebirth Chamber" Connell asked her. Kae Godfrey acknowledge the question with a turn towards the Rebirth Chambers.

As far as they knew the only missing of the Significant Seven was the Number 6 from the Rycon. There was no information about a Number 3 in this sector. All human form Cylons knew the rebirth process but this was the first time since his three recent deaths to see it in person. The Number 3 introduced herself as Dionna Breann and she seemed scared or maybe confused to see them. They gave her time to get cleaned up and get dressed. Later the story she told of being captured by human scum and treated as a sex slave which made the other Cylons upset. Such things were not supposed to happen to God's Chosen Children.

"I would like to use this ship to find the remainder of those pirates" said Deonna Breann. "I understand it is an unusual request but I would like to take the ship by myself."

The others agreed. From his viewpoint Gary Connell just wanted out of this sector. They loaded up a Heavy Raptor to return back to the Cyrannus System.

Day 37

Gary Connell had been in the Cyrannus System for almost a day now. He had decided to stick with Kae Godfrey as she seemed not only more competent than the Cavils but also highly ranked among the Sixes. All of the Significant Seven models came up with their own methods of deciding rank and seniority for the times when reaching consensus was just too slow and usually it involves experience. What Kae had done during The Return was something she did not want to discuss. The most recently born of the Significant Seven were almost naive in a way and the subtle things she said or way she acted gave evidence she had spent time with Colonials.

"Subsector 13-H is down 2% from optimal efficiency. The Sword of God will return for retribution. Time leads to time leads to time. Ships Kappa 4 and Rho 6 are ready to depart. The dying leader will lead the people to the promise land before passing" the Hybrid said. "The Tenth and the First are together on the second."

Gary Connell like all Number Twos found the Hybrid's comments fascinating. Sometimes they seemed like nonsense or useless. Sometimes they hinted at secrets or even possible future events. The Number Twos were often looked down by all of the other models for this however Kae Godfrey did not say anything.

The reports of the Colonial forces showed there were as many as 6 Battlestars of which 2 were certain to exist and the other 4 were either hiding or destroyed with no contact with Cylon forces. There were also over 50 Colonial warships of different classes that again are missing in one form or another. Best count was over 8 different fleets of Colonial survivors with some having a military ship or ships heading them up. This would all have been manageable if it wasn't for the most recent frak up.

The Anteros was counted as a destroyed Colonial ship. Until 8 days ago when it and 2 other Colonial ships came back and destroyed 2 Baseships. The badly damaged Anteros was destroyed but that a Warstar (almost as dangerous as a Battlestar) was miscounted as KIA and then the 2 remaining Colonial warships had lead over 20 civilian ships that had been hiding in the Helios Beta System. This showed that there was more Colonial presence in the area than expected and that the civilian ships seemed to have contact with the remaining Colonial naval forces. If they grouped together even with over 200 Basestars available they could destroy one of the Cylon picket forces protecting the four systems.

The Cavil in charge of the Cyrannus System had ordered another search for the Colonials. Over 50 civilian ships had been found and destroyed and that they do another survey of the various battles from the day of the Return. There was also talk of permanently removing the rest of the humans off the 12 Colonies except for parts of Caprica and Scorpia. Cavil did not seem happy with the slow starving or dying from radiation humans on the other planets living for a few more miserable years. He wanted them dead now. Cities were to be nuked again and food crops destroyed. It was all so pointless just more of Cavil's doing something to seem in charge.

"Sister Godfrey do we have a destination yet" asked Gary Connell.

"Brother Connell let's go look for the ship that destroyed your base. At this time it does not appear anyone is looking for the Orion and the other ships that were reported there" she said.

Gary Connell really had no major issues with the Orion even if they had killed him the first time. Still the known Colonial fleets were all being given what was considered appropriate amounts of force to destroy them. If they let the humans escape they would return someday and while the Return was God's Will they would never forgive the Cylons for the recent actions. Peace would never be possible. "Yes I think we should do that" he said. Mainly for lack of a better choice.

Day 43

"Brother Dyo I was wondering if you could turn over the information you got from the Wilson sisters" said Deonna Breanne.

Leonard Dyo had heard rumors of a Number Three that took a very personal interest in any pirates. In Dyo's mind humans are humans whether pirates or Colonials so he didn't mind if she got her revenge. He was more interested in finding the missing Centaur and the ships from the Ofis System. "Yes Sister I can do that. If you come across any information of the ships I am looking for please give me that information.

"Of course" she replied. Soon afterwards the Number 2 flew back to his Baseship to hopefully not find the prey he was looking for.

Looking over the information that she had gotten from the Gorman pirate group and this new data she did notice several systems where the Wilsons had been to before on several occasions. Apparently the Gormans were considered to be crazy and untrustworthy (no surprise there) but the Wilson sisters were more sociable. The data was not that well hidden but Dyo did not really care to follow up on it if it did not involve the Centaur.

This would take time to check as some might have just been rendezvous spots but she had the time and the Raiders and Heavy Raiders to stake out dozens of systems. Might as well get started.

Day 57

The last few weeks had been spent looking for pirates. One small group had been found and destroyed but pirates by their nature and by experience were better at hiding than Colonial ships. Another time her Raiders had came across 4 Colonial ships but had left as it was unlikely that pirates would have two Colonial SDF ships. Her Raiders had standing orders that the moment a Colonial ship was spotted they were to leave the system without combat and try to avoid detection. The Raiders then had those memories put in a separate file that they then ignored. Deanna felt bad treating the Raiders this way but Raiders were more well trained guard animals than "people". Of that if little else she agreed with Cavil.

The Monza System was famous in Colonial literature being the brightest star in the night sky of Caprica and Gemenon. It was also worthless by any useful standard. However the Wilsons had been here 3 times in the last 5 years. For a system that had a slight but not impossible chance to kill you at any given moment (such flares happened "only" once or twice a century) this seemed odd. The dradis scans of this system were very poor due to Monza's interference. Still her Raiders had spotted what was a very old Virgon Medicalstar and 5 other ships. Some leaked wireless signals had spoken of how the Guatrau wanted this or that. Since the Guatrau is the head of the Ha'la'tha this makes them being pirates (or close enough) likely.

Time do deal with these people.
