A/N This is the Rowena request and it's the end of her being the lead, because I'm short of steam for her and need to make room for my upcoming fic All But One. To the one who made the request. James was the diesel prejudiced engine, so it's just Diesel 10 that needs to be taken care of, so no unknown name engine, just James and he's better now.
Rowena was pulling a passenger train along the rails and singing. She came to the station where her narrow-gauge line met the standard-gauge line. NWR diesels were there.
Diesel 10 said, "Rowena, Rowena go away. Don't come back another day. Killer engine!"
Rowena froze up in reaction to his words, then began to cry, sobbing and sniffling, long and loud. Her face was wet with huge tears. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!
"Cry-engine!" said Diesel 10.
"Dr-Dry m-my t-tears, Dr-Driver," she said. Every word was another heartfelt sob. "I-I h-hurt i-in m-my h-heart."
Rowena's driver was on her buffers, cloth in hand. "There, there, Rowena," he said. "Let it all out. You can rely on me to wipe away your tears.". He rubbed her sodden cheeks and wiped her tear-wet eyes.
Rowena went on sobbing and crying some more, fresh tears filling her dark eyes. "W-Why i-is D-Diesel 10 st-still a-after m-me a-about E-Eleanor?" she said tearfully. She sniffled again hard, coughed as she choked on her sobs and hiccupped. She gasped and gulped, shaking as huge water droplets poured from her eyes, not once stopping and let her driver comfort her.
He said, as he continued to wipe her tears away, "I know how upset you are, so I'm here for you, to dry your eyes and comfort you until you feel better. As long as you cry, I shall wipe your eyes. You've got every right to cry.". He pressed the cloth to her eyes, letting her sob into it and wiped all her tears away as best he could.
Thomas came, double-heading a train with James. They saw Rowena's driver comforting her and heard her baby sobs. Also, they saw Diesel 10, so they ran him off the rails.
Thomas told Rowena's driver, "As a standard-gauge engine, I can't give her a buffer press due to not being able to go on narrow-gauge tracks, so give her a hug for me."
Her driver said to the tank engine, "After I wipe her tears, I promise to hug her. She thinks, because of her late friend, Rachel, if I don't wipe the tears from her eyes, she shall rust."
Rowena sobbed and sobbed, weeping non-stop until she had no more tears left to cry. Her driver dried her last tears away, wiping her cheeks and eyes dry of tears, then said to her, "Thomas told me to give you a hug, so here it is.". After hugging her, he went back to the cab with the sodden cloth and refilled her radiator. Her face was bright red and her sore eyes were red and puffy, but she smiled, feeling better after crying and being comforted. Then, she went on with her day, working with her friends and singing again.
Rowena's driver told her later, "Diesel 10's been sent back to his home railway, so you can live in more peace now, with your greatest bully off the island. He was swapped for another diesel on the line." He thought, She's shed a great many tears because of Diesel 10. Her tears are endless when she sobs, but she feels so much better after a good cry. She's got a sopping wet handkerchief, with her face so red and her sore and swollen eyes are so red. Then, he went to say, "Rowena, I love to wipe your eyes when you cry, because I quite like to comfort you and do whatever I can to help you feel better.".
Rowena's life on Sodor went on. Though her fellow engines sometimes were mean to her, there was far less bullying in her life. When she was no longer a baby engine, her crying went from WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH! to "Boo-hoo", when she had cause to cry. Due to her soft heart, she still cried whenever something made her sad, upset or scared as long as she lived. She lost friends and even, as she got older, siblings.
A/N To my guest reviewer: Charity's never been suicidal and you don't have to worry about Jessica, because she just can't a find a reason to live, which is shown by her tears. Crying and suicide only go hand-in-hand for those who can't find a reason to live and besides, their therapy's working. Fyi everyone, I'm short of steam for Rowena, so she won't be lead anymore. As an OC, Rowena won't get a deathfic, but I thought I should show her whole life. Whenever I wrap up Jessica's third person story, her depression will be resolved and her life will be wrapped up, but I'll only hint at her end of life, like Rowena's story here. Rowena's driver thinks of his comfort cloth for her as her hanky.
