Chapter 4: Final Fight

Gérard stood in front of his fugitives. It seems that it needs to improve its security system, although it has not been of any use. With the shape they took, they were able to break everything in their path, without even making any effort. Next to him stood an older woman. She didn't appear to be American, but rather Mexican. She was not armed, but her bodyguard was.

"So these are the werewolves you spoke to me about? They are only young girls, who must not have been young for very long, judging by their healing capacity. How were they able to achieve this form? It's just impossible, because it has never been observed before."

"When I saw her, I was just as surprised as you were. But, I assure you that it is the strict truth. They were able to transform into a huge bipedal wolf, and I still don't explain it. I don't know how long they've been werewolves, but I'd say no more than a year. Although they know how to fight, their technique is sorely lacking in training. And, they preferred flight rather than fight. I think that's quite telling."

"Indeed, they don't have the guts to face skilled hunters like us. Let's see if they still leak now that they're stuck."

"In this situation, they have no choice but to fight."

Frustrated and angry, Emily roared as loud as she could, wanting to impress everyone in front of her. She punctuated the end of her roar with a low growl, displaying all her fangs at the same time. Spencer did the same, revealing his long, sharp fangs still stained with the Beast's blood. Indeed, during her attacks, she did not hesitate to bite her to inflict as much damage as possible. This technique had worked a little, although it was the change into their original form that closed the fight.

Hanna also displayed her fangs, always with the aim of impressing. But, they were not stained with blood, because she had rinsed her mouth with water, the taste of blood bothering her. Alison did nothing. She stood in the back, letting her friends handle the situation. She's never been a fan of fighting and would be fine without it if she didn't have to. Of course, she is good at spreading rumors or insulting people. But, when it comes to physically fighting with someone, she moves on.

Still at the head of the group since their departure, Spencer stared at Gérard and his new friend. At first glance, she is also a hunter, but who must hunt in another territory. Given her accent, she probably hunts in Mexico or other South American countries. She has an austere, firm and angry face. And, with the few words she said, she did not hesitate to be insulting, although she was not directly insulting. After this brief observation, Spencer straightened her stance, ready to argue.

"If we fled, it was to avoid destroying everything. You do not know the full extent of our strength. We are capable of destroying a city in seconds. The form we have taken, against your secret weapon, we have mastered it and very well. If we want, we can take it back and you won't be able to stop us."

"Young lady, you are being very arrogant. Do you know who I am ?"

"No I do not know. On the other hand, if you forget who you are, it's worrying. You have an ID card I hope?"

"I am Araya Calavera, one of the best hunters in Mexico and South America. So far, no werewolves have been able to resist me, and you won't be the first. I must admit that seeing female wolves is quite rare. And, as for this famous shape, I would love to see it."

"You want to see her? Very good, but you better run and very quickly. You don't know what it looks like or what you can do when you take it. But, you will find out."

After finishing his sentence, Spencer triggered her transformation, taking it much faster this time. Emily followed her, not paying attention to the burning pain that radiated all over her arm and shoulder. Hanna followed as well, and lightly pushed Alison when she saw her yawn. Groaning slightly at this, Alison also begins her transformation, much more slowly. She wasn't really putting in the effort, which slowed down the transformation, and could make it more painful too.

The hunters watched them transform, all speechless. It is obvious that they do not know this shape and that they find it impressive. Indeed, seeing four bipedal wolves around 3 meters high is very impressive and not at all common. Lunar werewolves, capable of transforming whenever they want, cannot achieve such a form. It is not in their gene and the only transformation they can achieve is quite primitive and does not allow them to be very fast. If they want to hope to be able to transform into a wolf one day, they must be in perfect harmony with their wolf side, which is not easy.

Gerard swallowed audibly, starting to get scared seeing them transform like this. Araya looked at them, trying to keep an impassive face. She's never seen this in her life, she doesn't know what to do. She ordered her men to take aim, ready to fire. The four big wolves did not move. All of their fangs were extended, having grown to double or triple their original size. The same goes for their claws, which appear even sharper than before.

Still appearing impressed and unsure of the situation, Gérard continued to look at them. He ordered his men to shoot them. He paled even more than before as he saw the bullets ricochet off their skin and land in the nearby trees. Deep down, he is proud to see that the Beast managed to hurt them enough for the wounds to be visible in their original form. But, if they're still alive after that and the bullets don't do anything to them, then no one can beat them.

"Well…I see that the situation is, a little, out of control. Obviously bullets don't do anything to them, and I'm not sure any other type of weapon would do anything to them. I am of the opinion…that we surround them and keep them under surveillance until we find a solution."

"Well…we can try, but I don't think it will be effective. Based on their size, their stature, they must be very strong. If they were able to break reinforced concrete walls, they will make short work of our men. But it is true that we cannot let them go. They will cause the destruction of the city, killing millions of people. Letting them escape would be a more than irresponsible act on our part."

"So, in this case, we have to find a solution to prevent them from fleeing. Concrete walls don't work. I think very thick steel walls should work, but I'm not sure. A mixture of the two should be effective, provided it is done well. And, by the time all this takes place, they will have already fled, and for a very long time."

During their discussion, the hunters didn't pay attention to what was happening around them, but everyone was surprised when they heard a huge roar that came out of nowhere. This roar was a howl of distress intended for the pack, so that it could come to their aid. In a few minutes, an hour at most, the pack will be there and it will be a bloodbath. She will not hesitate to attack to defend her own.

Spencer was the first to return to her human form, wanting to start a conversation. She was the one who made this distress call, mainly to see the reaction of the hunters. Of course, it's mainly for the pack, so they know where they are and that they're okay. But seeing the hunters panic when they hear that, because they know, somewhat, what it means, is funny.

"What I just did is what we call a pack call. It is especially used when one of our own is in danger and needs help very quickly. This is our case, that's why I did it. So, as you know, the pack should arrive very quickly. In an hour at most, she will be here and things could go very badly for you if you continue to act threatening. So, I advise you to surrender, it's the best thing to do in your situation."

"Are you threatening us? This is a terrible idea and you know it. I have more men than your precious little pack. You have lost and you are trying to gain time. We are going to kill you, every one of you. But, before doing so, I would like you to answer a few questions. I thought I heard you had children. I imagine they are safe in your territory. I need to know where it is, in order to eliminate the members who remain there, including the children. They are werewolves, destined to become destructive and murderous wild beasts. I must, therefore, eliminate them."

Hearing these words, Spencer sees red but she managed to contain her rage before it exploded. Threatening children in a pack is always dangerous, because they always take it very badly. It is their protective instincts that come into play at this moment. Gérard didn't seem to pay any attention, although he must know what he was exposing himself to. When he said that, it wasn't just Spencer who was ready to jump for his throat. Hanna wanted it too, because she was growling uncontrollably. Emily held Hanna to prevent her from going to kill him, but she was also on the verge of throwing herself at him. Only Alison had no particular reaction. She just stared at the scene, not really knowing what to think. As always, Spencer was the one to speak.

"Touch our children, and I can assure you that you will be dead in a second. And, believe me, this is not a threat but a promise."

Spencer punctuated the end of her sentence with a low growl, wanting to support her words by doing so. She looked at him, letting her eyes take on their flaming orange color, characteristic of Omegas. When doing this, she always left her fangs exposed, always in order to impress and show that she does not hesitate to be aggressive if she deems it necessary. Gérard does not react. He seemed busy thinking to find a solution to the problem in front of him. All his men still had their weapons trained on them, although it was useless since they were empty and the bullets did nothing to them. But, they think that they don't know and that they won't try anything seeing them like that.

At the same time, further into the forest, the pack had resumed their intensive search. With the help of Scott's pack, the search is progressing well, as they can search a larger area. Like any good Alpha, Kurt and Aria led the search and stayed at the head of the group. They looked in all directions, like all members of the pack. Until now, they didn't feel anything. No smells that could guide them there or traces on the ground still muddy from the rain of the day before. Night was falling, which greatly limited their vision, although they were nyctalopes. They can see in the dark, but they have their limits. At a certain point, it will be too dark for them to be able to easily discern what is in front of them.

During their search, Kurt and Aria froze when they heard a pack call. They recognized Spencer's scream and rushed to answer her, so she knew they were on their way. Thanks to this call, she was able to report her location, although the distance between them was not specified. The whole pack heard this call and they too rushed to go in their direction, wanting to find them at all costs. Scott and his pack saw them transform into enormous wolves, each more colorful than the last, and head south. Few people venture to this side of the forest, as it is known to be dangerous. Seeing them transform like this, most didn't know how they could do it. Only Malia said nothing, just shrugging her shoulders. She knows how to transform into a coyote, so it doesn't surprise her too much to see them do that. Moreover, she does not hesitate to make a little comment.

"Well, I know how to do it too, and you say nothing. So why does it surprise you when it's them who do it?"

"Because they're werewolves, not werecoyotes like you. So, it's normal that it surprises us to see them do that. Us, well, not me...I'm a simple human, but...Scott, Derek, Peter and all the others, they don't know how to do it. And they do it without thinking. And, they do it in not even a second! Can you imagine transforming for a second instead of several minutes?"

As usual, Stiles made a long sentence to explain a simple thing. And, each time, he accompanied his sentences with large gestures with his arms, to best support his words. He was moving in all

directions, still not understanding how they managed to transform like that and especially so quickly. The questions kept running through his head, and he didn't ask them, knowing full well that now wasn't the right time. However, his incomprehension must have been etched on his face, because he heard a voice come from behind him.

"It's not that hard. They are just much more evolved werewolves than us, which explains their ease of transformation, as well as many other things. But we are incapable of it, no matter how many times we train to try to do it."

As always, Peter made a surprise appearance, in the darkness of the forest and the night. His appearances never failed to surprise those present and he delighted in them. He always loved this kind of effect and he wasn't ready to stop. What he also likes is to provide his knowledge at the appropriate time, always sporting an arrogant look when he does so. He's always been like that, arrogant, narcissistic...and he's always liked to take people down, even if it's completely unnecessary. In this case, he is not shooting anyone, he is just providing information that may be useful to them. He even made an effort to avoid being arrogant or condescending.

"Yeah, well, we suspected that. And, next time, warn instead of appearing out of nowhere. Every time, you scare everyone, almost giving me a heart attack."

"A heart attack ? You exaggerate ! And, besides, you're the only one who can't detect my presence, so don't complain."

"Yeah, that's right, Mr. Arrogant. I'm not a werewolf or anything. So, I can't smell like you, so…I can't know when you're coming if I don't see you or if I haven't been warned in advance."

Peter doesn't bother to respond to Stiles' statement, which he considers to be a verbal attack. He doesn't know how he reacts in very stressful situations. Exaggerating his sentence would do no good, because it will cause a bigger argument and could disrupt the little cohesion they have managed to have over time.

At the same time, the pack was roaming the forest. They broke, with their powerful jaws, all the obstacles in their path. During their race, rain arrived, limiting their visibility. Thunderstorms were also present. Thunder rumbled as their footsteps hit the ground, as if it accompanied them to their destination and gave them courage.

The rain didn't bother them, because it's just water. It takes a lot more to weaken them. And, it could give them a certain advantage, because hunters will not be able to see properly and miss their targets. The rain therefore arrived at the right time. Their fur was soaked with water and dripping, a sign that the rain is heavy. This could potentially weigh them down and slow them down, but this is not the case. Their speed will not be changed because of a few liters of water.

Meanwhile, Gérard, and all his men, awaited the arrival of the pack. The weather was starting to get long, the rain was heavy and visibility was greatly reduced. Fighting against thirty werewolves, capable of transforming into real monsters, will prove very complicated in such conditions. Their weapons are not powerful enough, but they can, perhaps, impress them. When the pack arrives, it won't have much time to communicate with the she-wolves who have been taken prisoner. They will, surely, not be able to tell them that the bullets do nothing to them.

About five minutes of waiting later, all the hunters heard loud howls and growls, a sign that the pack had just arrived. Indeed, they saw huge wolves coming out of the bushes and landing in front of them. Everyone had their fangs bared, wanting to show themselves impressive. Their powerful paws sank slightly into the thick layer of mud caused by the rain. The Alphas were at the head of the pack and let their red eyes shine in the dark night. The hunters had headlamps, otherwise they saw nothing. Seeing them arrive, Gérard stepped forward, wanting to open a discussion before killing them. Well, that's what he's hoping for. Seeing him step forward, Kurt did the same, ready to counter each of his arguments without holding back his words as he normally does. To do this, he returned to his human form.

"Good, I see reinforcements have arrived. Now tell me what you want before you die."

"See you in prison, to make sure you never harm our kind again. You know very well that what you are doing is illegal, but you do it anyway. And that…that shows how much you have no consideration for living beings. We are just as human as you, although we are different. We have a human side, we are not wild. The only wild person I see here is you!"

"Me, end up in prison? Not this time. You are brutes, wild animals who must be eliminated until the last one. Look at you, all fangs outstretched, ready to shred the first thing that passes underneath. And you're telling me you're not wild? Review the definition, it wouldn't hurt you. Although you probably won't have time to do it."

"It's just a reaction to what you did. If you hadn't removed them, we wouldn't have been so aggressive. You are the one who caused all this. Now it's up to you to face the consequences."

"What consequences? You will all be dead before you can do anything. All our weapons are aimed at you. You will all die in a hail of bullets."

"Bullets don't do anything to us. And, if I refer to their wounds, they fought against something very strong, and defeated it, right? Your whole plan, so perfect, must have failed the moment they won this fight. And, now you're trying to buy time, or impress us, but you know it's over. Do what's best and go. I don't particularly want to chase you around in every country, but I wouldn't hesitate to do so if necessary. And, the whole pack too, will not hesitate to do it."

To support Kurt's argument, the entire pack growled in unison, frightening the few hunters who dared to approach them seeing them so calm. Gérard tried to hide his reaction, but it was clear to everyone that he was afraid. He nodded weakly, clearing his throat. He ordered his men to reload their weapons and fire. The bullets rained down, but did no damage to the pack. The bullets ricocheted and got stuck in the tree trunks.

Frustrated, Gérard launched himself at Kurt, who intercepted him and tackled him to the ground. All his acolytes tried to do the same, but they failed. All were intercepted fairly quickly, although their punches did nothing to them. The majority of those present just watched the scene, looking for a way to intervene to tip the scales in their favor.

Still stuck under Kurt, Gérard was looking for a solution to get out of there and see, at the same time, if he is capable of triggering the same impressive transformation as the four wolves he has under his command. To do this, he hit him on the thighs, thus trying to annoy him so that he would transform. Obviously, this does not have the desired effect, because Kurt is extremely calm. He doesn't react to his provocations, although reacting to them wouldn't change much. All that would do is satisfy this old man trapped in clichés dating from the Middle Ages.

After a few seconds of reflection, Kurt stood up, freeing Gérard at the same time. It's time for him to see his full potential, since that's what he's so eager to see. He's seen Omegas transform like this before, and it's already very impressive in itself. But, seeing the two Alphas of the pack, as well as their Betas, transform in the same way, is going to be even more impressive.

Kurt yelled to get Aria's attention, who understood what he wanted to do. She screamed too, but this time in order to attract the attention of the Betas. Blaine and Ezra turned their heads in his direction and came directly when they saw his nod, indicating that they should come. By reflex and instinct, they already removed their t-shirts, revealing their impressive werewolf muscles. Kurt and Aria did the same, also revealing their musculature, which is just as impressive.

Indeed, a werewolf is always muscular, regardless of the body shape he displays in human form. For example, Mercedes is quite curvy, but that's just muscle. When a human becomes a werewolf, all the fat in their body disappears and is replaced by muscles that adapt to the body shape they had before. So, when it transforms, the muscles do their job and increase the necessary capacities depending on the situation. In this case, it's about knowing how to take blows for a very long time and being able to return them with more force. Therefore, the person's morphology will become more refined and reveal the muscles, thus giving a very impressive effect.

Gerard saw the Betas join in their little discussion, leaving the Omegas to deal with the hunters who had dared to attack them. The four female wolves he had taken prisoner seemed to have found their companions, for they were barking and playing with other wolves. He also saw the other Alpha join them. Everyone had taken off their tops, as if they were about to transform in front of him, surely to devour him alive. Kurt saw the fear in her eyes and, for the first time in his life, he appreciated it. He's never been someone who likes to scare people, but he doesn't mind doing it. And, in this case, it's even enjoyable. He straightened his position, wanting to explain what they were going to do in a few seconds.

"Well, it seems you want to see our transformation into original form. Well, that's what we're going to do, so you can see how strong and unbeatable we are. No matter what you think, you lost, again."

Kurt finishes his sentence with a slight laugh, because he knows he's right. Right after, he triggered his transformation, followed by Aria, Blaine and Ezra. Thanks to their extensive training, they are able to take it in a few seconds and without pain. As expected, Gerard watched them transform, not knowing how to react. He got up and took out a small handgun that he always keeps in his pocket. He fired once and was not at all surprised to see the bullet ricochet and crash into a rock. Disappointed and even more frustrated than before, he finally gave up and arrested all his men. He gave very brief instructions, which were orders to flee. Kurt rolled his eyes as he returned to his human form. He wasn't at all surprised that he asked all his henchmen to flee. This will make capturing them more difficult, but not impossible.

After a few minutes of discussion on the telephone with the sheriff, he arrived on the scene and took on board the hunters still present, including Gérard. Everything was done in a few minutes, allowing the pack to take care of their wounded. Indeed, Spencer, Emily and Hanna are seriously injured, although they say they feel nothing. They told everything that happened and how they got through it.

They did not fail to point out the fact that Alison spent more of her time hiding than helping them during this very complicated fight. The main person said nothing, but her ears lay down alongside her head, a sign that she does not really take responsibility for what she did and that she fears the consequences.

Kurt doesn't say anything, because it's the first time he's been confronted with such a situation. Aria growled very loudly and very low, a sign of her anger, but she didn't linger more than that. She will have a serious conversation with him later. For now, what worries him is their condition. They are still bleeding, even though they should have healed a long time ago. After more explanation of what this Beast of Gévaudan is, it turns out that it is a corrupted werewolf that has been cursed for hundreds of years. This is an oldest werewolf still alive, always going on a killing spree when he is angered or offered prey. However, this is the first time she has been beaten by werewolves much stronger than her.

An ambulance was called to treat the possible injuries, including the werewolves, thanks to the expertise of Melissa McCall, Scott's mother. She arrived quickly, and didn't take badly to the fact that they didn't need her. Indeed, these are injuries that cannot be treated, because they will still leave scars. The only thing they will need is painkillers, because it will hurt at some point.

After further observation, Kurt and Aria noticed that their hair had changed. Emily sports the same diamond-shaped red marking in her hair, although it is only supposed to be present when she fully transforms. The same goes for Hanna, who has a brown line in her hair, like her normal backline. Spencer has the ends of her hair darker, like the ends of her legs during her transformations. Only Alison had no change in her hair, because her markings or reflections, when she transforms, are very light and very barely noticeable.

Kurt knew very well what was happening, why these changes were happening. This is a normal phenomenon in this pack. When a werewolf from the original pack transforms often, their hair will take on the markings of their wolf form. This makes them look more impressive and directly shows what they are. Some people decided to dye their hair when this phenomenon appeared, for fear of people's judgment and being chased away.

Aria looked at them for a few seconds, then inspected her hair, wondering why this hadn't happened to her. It's true that she didn't change much in her youth, but that doesn't justify anything. After a few minutes of observation, she noticed slight bluish and silver reflections, a sign that it happened to her too. For Kurt, it's more discreet and, therefore, less noticeable if you're not careful. It's the tips of his hair that are white, because he has white in his coat. Blaine and Ezra both have dark hair, so it's very hard to tell if this happened to them too. So far, no other members of the pack have been observed with this phenomenon.

Once all formalities have been completed, the pack prepares to return home. Scott had come to thank them and wish them a good trip. They were a great help to Beacon Hills, and he promised to come and help them if there was a problem or just to compare their abilities. Stiles had come with a small notebook, already starting to catalog what he already knew. He seemed very eager to learn more about them, which made everyone laugh. Another promise was made at that moment, that of helping Stiles finish his notebook while giving him as much information as possible.

Once the goodbyes were said, all the members took their wolf forms, including the injured, and sped towards the horizon, in the direction of Pennsylvania. This is where their territory is and where their families are waiting for them. They can't wait to find them and tell them all their adventures.
