Chapter 6: Reunions and Tensions

A beautiful morning it was. The blue sky was so clear that there wasn't a single cloud that appeared. It was the end of the school week meaning it was Saturday, the day they have been waiting for a get together at a restaurant. Right now Asuka has already woke up and was meditating at the Mishima/Kazama garden. It was about 8 in the morning. Feeling deeply relaxed and calm, the sound of the water from the fountain, birds chirping and it was total serene. Then a disturbing noise began:
"Asuka, it's time for breakfast!!!!" Xiao called out
Asuka groaned
"Xiao, I thought breakfast was 10 minutes away! "
"Well sorry, Auntie Jun sent me here and besides we're meeting the others at exact noon for lunch Remember?"
"Okay, okay I already know that. Is Jin coming with?"
"Yes, I thought you already knew that it's me, you, Jin, Shin, Alisa, Julia and Steve"
"Oh yeah I completely forgot"
"Xiaoyu, Asuka!!! Are you two coming?" Jun asked as the Mishima family had already began feasting
"Coming!"
...
Later at 11:15...
"Mom, we're leaving for our get together" Jin told her
"OK, be safe okay and no mischief"
"Mom, we're teenagers we're not kids"
"To me you're still are"
"Goodbye!"
Asuka and Xiaoyu waited outside for Jin
"What took you so long?" Xiaoyu asked
"Nothing I just said bye"
Asuka looks at her watch
"Shoot, we gotta move"
They left
At Shin's POV
I walked down the street to Alisa's home because she asked me to come and pick her up. I was just 3 houses away from hers. I checked my phone and saw it was 30 minutes before noon. Since I was the one who organized this. I had to be punctual so that I could be able to book a table for 7. Luckily with all those thoughts I arrived to her condo. I then knocked
"Alisa, it's Shin can you please open the door"
Alisa came rushing downstairs and then opened it. Then saw Shin's face
"Hey!"
"Hi"
"You ready to leave?"
"Yes certainly"
Alisa got out and closed the door
"Right, let's go"
Meanwhile...
"Jin, it's only a get together not a getting bored session!" Xiao spoke with a bit of charisma
"Xiao, right now I should be working on Mr Bryan's assignment than just get bored"
"Alright you too, can you cut it off please!". Asuka said a bit annoyed
"What's up with you?"
"Yeah Asuka did we do something wrong?" Xiao asked curious
"Nothing just a lot has happened the last past days"
"Yep I have to admit, you and that rich brat, Shin falling for Alisa-..."
"-Wait wait wait wait, who?" Jin interrupted
"Your friend Shin is in love with Alisa" Xiao said
"There's no such thing as that they're just uhh good friends!"
"Oh C'mon don't tell me you didn't know" said Asuka
"I didn't 'til you told me just now!"
Xiao's phone rings
"Who could that be?"
"Probably Shin" Jin replied
Xiao answered and put it on speaker
On the phone...
"Hey guys, where you at?"
"Near the bus stop"
"OK but hurry up please"
"Yeah yeah yeah catch you later"
Phone call ends
"Asuka, Xiao we have to get there quick"
"Ok but we should at least get some Ice cream I'm getting a bit hot" Xiao said as she fanned herself
"Xiao we'll get it later but now we gotta be fast" Jin asked with a tinge of annoyance
"For the first time you have talked something that makes sense" Asuka said with a smirk
"H-hey!!!"
"What, you always don't make sense" Asuka laughs
"You ugh!!!"
...
After 15 minutes...
"We're finally here wooo, Marshall's Restaurant! " Xiao said with relief
They met Shin, Julia, Alisa and Steve
"Hey guys glad you can make it!!" Shin said as he welcomed them
"Yeah, we almost got late because of Xiaoyu" Jin smiled
"Yeah yeah, anyways hi guys" Xiao said
"Woah Xiaoyu, you really are tired!" Julia said quite astonished
"Anyways can we all take a seat?" Steve asked with a smile
They all sat down and they all looked at the the menus and began chatting about school stuff then there was one problem... there was no sign of Miharu.
"Hey did you guys notice that Miharu hasn't arrived? " Xiaoyu asked curious
"Hmm, I thought you told her that we're meeting here" Steve implied
"Well let's call her" Julia suggested
As they were about to call her, Miharu came as she bursted through the doors. She looked around and spotted them
"Speaking of..." Asuka said
"Hey guys!"
"What took you so long?" Alisa asked
"Well I had to go to the vet before coming here, sorry I was late" Miharu bowed
"Hey, as long as you have made it!" Jin spoke
"Did you get to order me some food"
"Well yeah, we managed to" Asuka said
"Thank you guys"
"You're welcome" Steve said with a smirk
"Hey guys, when are we going to the Tokyo Dome?" Shin said with excitement
"Maybe two weeks later" Jin clarified
"Can't wait!" Julia said with a bit of excitement
"So anyways guys about the testing week"
"Didn't say it was to be done sometime?" asked Shin with confusion
"Nobody told me about the testing week", Steve spoke
"Well then now you know" Asuka said with a smirk
"Well then better be prepared for them" Xiaoyu said "though I suck at Math"
"Don't be negative Xiaoyu, just try your best"
Alisa smiled
After 10 minutes of chatting the food finally came with exquisite fruit juices to quench their thirsts, mouth watering dishes Pecking duck, duck dumplings, Sushi, Miso soup and green salads. They passed nice comments about the food and chatted more about their daily lives. They were having a great time as friends. After 30 minutes of dining. They decided to head to the arcade. There they played games and took selfies. They then went to the park to take a stroll. It was about 30 minutes before six
"Guys I had a great time hanging out with y'all. Hope we do this again sometime"

"I agree with Julia, we really should" Alisa said with a smile
"Well then I guess it's time we go our separate ways" Steve said
"Yeah, ahhh it's now 20 minutes before six we got to head back home" Jin said
"Well bye guys" Shin said
"Bye see you on Monday" Xiao said
"Goodbye hope we meet again on another weekend" Steve said departing with Julia
"Well that's leaves just us" Shin said to Alisa
"Well yes, we have to go too."
"Yeah this was a great date!" Shin said smiling
