Chapter Ten
Admiral Nelson had been waiting for a report from Sparks inside of the radio shack. However the one man that was new on the Seaview had decided to try and take action with blowing up the radio shack so that no one will be able to send messages. Even though it will mean that Sparks aka a Russian spy planted on board the submarine.
Sparks had placed a delayed bomb inside the communications board before heading for his hiding spot that he was able to develop before getting off through the minisub. Even though it will mean killing anyone inside missile room two.
Closing the grey curtain to the radio shack while making sure where was Commander Morton located inside the control room. Taking out the bomb underneath his seat of the radio shack. Once it was planted into place, he was able to set it to go off in five minutes to protect himself.
Running out the back archway, he will be able to get to his hiding place in the solarium for now.
Hiding, he will wait for the bomb to go off in 30 secords. Meanwhile Commander Morton had been talking to the doctor and the navigator up front when all of a sudden..."BOOM!"
It was at this point the fire alarms had gone off closing off certain key areas on the submarine this including the reactor room and engineering along with others that were vital to the Seaview.
Commander Morton had been concerned when the explosion was coming from the radio shack to really upset him further. This is when Admiral Harriman Nelson hearing the alarms came rushing down the spiral staircase beginning to bark orders.
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON CHIP?" he moved forwarded to the periscope section for where Morton and others were waiting for a report from the fire teams and including Master of Arms to have been asked to help keep the peace.
"Don't know Admiral Nelson. I am waiting for a full report at this time." Morton had to cry out with his response. It was when one of the fire teams Sergeant Anthony Tinsel age 52 years old with his report holding a burnt out pieces of the bomb that was placed inside the radio shack.
"Sir, we found the reason for the explosion. This was found underneath the chair that Sparks sit in, and we believe that was set to go off in five minutes. However the bad news is the fact the entire communications board has been destroyed by the explosion. You're going to be needing your best men on it to be repaired?" he needed to say knowing full well what was going to happened with no communications.
"Alright Sergeant, we will be taking care of it." Nelson needed to say with Commander Chip Morton to get on the mike to hand out the orders to have the communications board to be changed quickly as possible.
Since there was so much confusion on board the Seaview. This will give the chance for the Russian spy to head for Missile room two along with his weapons to be used on those that are working inside the missile room.
But as it had turned out with opening the heavy hatch with his strong hands. He will enter the missile room to only find one maintenance worker inside cleaning mostly. It was at this time he will pull out his laser weapon to be fired into the back of the young blonde man dropping to the ground.
Leaving him there for now with placing a crowbar into the slot of the hatchway. He had gone over to the minisub section for where he will change into his wetsuit before opening the top hatch and with sitting down into the front.
He was able to maneuver the minisub so that he was able to get away before the alarms will go off and the radar and sonar is able to pick him up on their screens.
