Chapter 321 - Qi Sapping Worm

"So, what should we do with it…? Just kill it before it ends up infecting someone else?" Curiously looking at the small Qi Sapping Worm he was currently holding firmly in his hand, Xuan Hao asked Elder Song.

Killing it was what he had first wanted to do, but from how Elder Song had behaved earlier, Xuan Hao had a feeling that the old man might have some other plans for the worm…

"NO! Don't kill it! We can use it to trade with the Sky Empire and get ourselves an even better position in the Sect Alliance that they are currently in the process of building up!" Almost screaming out loud upon hearing the mention of killing the worm, Elder Song reached his hands forward in a protective manner towards the small worm. Looking like he wanted to rip it out of Xuan Hao's hands at any moment.

"… Here, you can just take care of it… I still have a confused disciple to get back to…"

Not wanting to have Fang Yu wait back at the training ground for too long as he talked with Elder Song, Xuan Hao decided to just throw the sealed Qi Sapping Worm over to Elder Song before taking his leave from the small private room they talked in.

Ignoring the curious stare, he got from the Alchemy Hall Elder just outside waiting for Elder Song to continue go through the remaining spiritual herbs that had just arrived.

Whoosh~

Stepping out of the administrative building, Xuan Hao flew into the sky and headed back towards his mountain. Hoping that the Qi Sapping Worm was the only reason why Fang Yu had been struggling with the fire burning formation…

Back inside of the training ground just after Xuan Hao had left to look for Elder Song to figure out what the Qi Sapping worm, he had found inside of Fang Yu's dantian was, Fang Yu herself recovered the few small injuries Xuan Hao had unintentionally caused her during the process of extracting the Qi Sapping Worm.

"What was that thing Elder Xuan pulled out from my dantian…"

Feeling that her dantian had already recovered after only a few minutes in the current in environment filled with a dense amount of water qi, that increased the efficiency of both her recovery rate and cultivation speed, Fang Yu could not help but think of the weird worm like creature Elder Xuan had just pulled out from her dantian a few minutes ago…

The entire ordeal was simply not something Fang Yu had ever imagined she would experience after stepping onto the path of cultivation… Knowing that she might die in a fight with another cultivator in the future, was one thing. Having a worm like creature living inside your dantian, doing who knows what, was another thing entirely…

If Elder Xuan had not discovered that worm… What would have happened in the future…?

Thinking about all sorts of horrifying possibilities, Fang Yu could not help but feel thankful towards Xuan Hao.

Calming down upon thinking about the fact that Xuan Hao had already removed the worm from her dantian, Fang Yu began cultivating inside of the training ground. Feeling the enormous amount of water qi eagerly rushing towards her as she felt her cultivation speed increase!

Fang Yu felt like something fundamental had changed inside of her, as her cultivation speed began to increase faster and faster until she managed to directly breakthrough her current realm at the Third Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm. Reaching the Fourth Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm!

Officially going from someone at the early stages of the Foundation Establishment Realm to someone at the middle stages of the Foundation Establishment Realm!

Not stopping to celebrate her breakthrough, Fang Yu continued to quietly cultivate inside of the training ground as she knew an opportunity to cultivate in such a blessed environment filled with pure and dense water qi suitable for her cultivation mantra, was hard to come by in the future. N0v3lRealm was the platform where this chapter was initially revealed on N0v3l.B1n.

At least she wanted to take advantage of the small opportunity she had gotten to increase her cultivation realm!

Whoosh~

A short distance from the training ground Fang Yu was waiting inside of, Xuan Hao quietly appeared just in time to witness Fang Yu breaking through to the Fourth Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm.

"Guess I will wait until the cloud passes through…"

Ads by Pubfuture

Watching how greedily Fang Yu was absorbing the surrounding water qi, Xuan Hao decided to give her a little more time to cultivate. After all, the current environment inside the training ground with the cloud passing through was simply a blessing for someone like Fang Yu.

Other than that, the cloud currently making the training ground all fogey would not stay around for much longer, as it was already about to be gone.

Giving Fang Yu a few more minutes to cultivate as the cloud passed through would not hurt anyone… Other than the cloud whose water qi was currently in the process of being absorbed…

Clouds could truly be considered a blessing for cultivators who were practicing water-based cultivation mantras.

"You should have recovered by now, are you ready to continue from where we left off earlier?"

Waiting around for a few minutes outside of the training ground until the cloud had passed by and drifted off the mountain. Continuing onwards towards some unknowing location. Xuan Hao entered the training ground and walked over.

"Elder Xuan!? I-I already recovered… Do you know what that worm from earlier was? And will I be… f-fine…?" Seeing Xuan Hao suddenly appear, Fang Yu quickly stopped cultivating. Asking the two questions, that had not left her mind ever since she had seen the worm Xuan Hao had pulled out from her dantian.

"No need to worry about it, you will be fine. The worm has already been dealt with by me and there is nothing for you to worry about."

Seeing the worried expression on Fang Yu's face, Xuan Hao quickly began reassuring her without mentioning what kind of worm the Qi Sapping Worm was.

Something that the Sky Empire wanted; he did not want news about something like that appearing inside of the Flying Sword Sect spreading outside... That would just end up attracting unwanted trouble…

"What I'm more interested in, is if the worm might have had something to do with the fact that you failed with the fire burning formation for the past two years!"

Not letting Fang Yu discover the fact that he avoided he question, Xuan Hao instead redirected her attention towards the fact that she might be able to set up the formation she had been struggling with for two years.

"Really!?"

Fang Yu did not notice how Xuan Hao had avoided answering what kind of worm had been inside of her dantian just a moment ago. Instead focusing her full attention towards the fact that she might finally be able to complete the fire burning formation. Officially being capable of entering the Formation Hall!

This was understandable.. After all, she had been trying hard to enter the Formation Hall for two years straight and now she finally saw a chance for her dream to come true. The identity of the worm did not matter compared to the news that she might finally be able to set up a complete fire burning formation without it exploding after a few seconds…

Chapter 322 - Will It Explode?

"Try and set up the fire burning formation again and we will find out whether it's true or not!"

Watching over Fang Yu, who had suddenly become extremely excited after learning that she might be able to successfully set up a fire burning formation, Xuan Hao encouraged her to try and set up the formation.

After all, he still had to make sure that his Sect Mission would be completed… He was also curious about how the Formation Halls strength would increase like the quest rewards said, would it be over time as Fang Yu grew up and became stronger or would it be something entirely different that caused the Formation Hall to experience a sudden increase in strength. Like one of their Formation Masters breaking through into a higher realm, them discovering a brand-new formation that would help increase their strength or maybe some strong Formation Master appearing and joining the Formation Hall.

Xuan Hao had no idea what would happen and really wanted to find out how the system would increase the strength of the Formation Hall… Although he already had a feeling that it had something to do with Fang Yu. The main subject of the sect mission!

Fwoosh!

Focusing on setting up the fire burning formation, Fang Yu carefully proceed to successfully ignite the small fire in middle of the formation. Watching it burn like she had done in the past.

Now all she needed to do was to keep it burning without the formation suddenly collapsing or exploding like the past...

Fwoosh~

"I, I succeeded!"

Keeping an eye on the flame in the middle of the fire burning formation, Fang Yu could not help but exclaim loudly in an excited manner.

The small fire did not explode like it had in the past! Instead, it remained completely calm inside of the fire burning formation without showing any signs of exploding.

"Looks like it did indeed have something to do with the Qi Sapping Worm…"

Nodding his head with a smile on his lips, Xuan Hao could not help feeling happy for Fang Yu, as she finally managed to succeed in what she had dedicated the past two years of her life towards doing.

Honestly, Xuan Hao had no idea what he would do if the Qi Sapping Worm did not have something to do with her failing for two years straight. At that point, he might even end up failing his first ever quest from the system…

"No use thinking about that… Now I just need to help her take the test and officially enter the Formation Hall!"

Muttering this to himself as he shook his head upon thinking about how he might have ended up failing the sect mission if the Qi Sapping Worm had not been related to Fang Yu's continues failures for the past two years, Xuan Hao felt that he had been quite lucky with the sect mission this time around.

He almost didn't have to do anything other than remove a worm that took minimal effort and be done with it. No need for him to try and use what little knowledge on formations he had to try and teach Fang Yu.

Overall, Xuan Hao felt quite satisfied with how everything had gone. The only thing left for him to find out about, was where and how Fang Yu managed to get infected by the Qi Sapping Worm in the first place…

"Thanks for your help Elder Xuan! Without you, I don't think I would ever be able to enter the Formation Hall!"

Dispersing her fire burning formation by herself for the first time since she had learned the formation, Fang Yu happily bowed down and thanked Xuan Hao for hist help.

Without him, she would still have that weird worm hiding inside of her dantian. Disrupting her progress when it came to setting up the fire burning formation.

As an added bonus, she had even managed to breakthrough to the fourth stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm!

"No need for that, it's only a given that I helped you out. For now, we should move over to the Formation Hall so you can officially become a member of the Formation Hall!" Feeling happy upon seeing how thankful Fang Yu was to him, Xuan Hao quickly stopped her from bowing any further before moving the conversation towards the Formation Hall.

Helping her enter the Formation Hall was the last thing left to do before his sect mission could be considered to have been completed and it was still early in the morning, so there was more than enough time left for both of them to visit the Formation Hall and have her take the entrance test!

"Yes!"

Fang Yu happily agreed with what Xuan Hao said, as both of them soon began making their way down the mountain towards the Formation Hall.

At the same time, Feng Chen and Zu Fei had finally finished cleaning up and were preparing to meet with Elder Song. Firstly, to learn about what had happened when they were gone. Secondly, they would also tell him about what happened on their end during the past few weeks that they had spent mostly inside of the Burning Mountain Range searching for the Raging Flame Sect's Sect Master.

"Hm? W-what is this?"

Arriving inside the room that they had been informed Elder Song was currently staying inside of, both Feng Chen and Zu Fei were taken aback, as the person in question seemed extremely focused on feeding some kind of small worm on his table. Instead of working like he normally did.

"Sect Master? Zu Fei? It's great to see both of you have returned safely! Did you manage to deal with the Sect Master of the Raging Flame Sect…?"

Not turning his gaze away from the small, weird worm in front of him, Elder Song asked the two of them, while remaining focused on feeding some kind of small spiritual herb to the small worm on his table.

"Yes… The Sect Master of the Raging Flame Sect was dealt with… But I have to ask… What is this worm all about? Did you perhaps find a new hobby of some sort…?"

Answering truthfully, Feng Chen could not help but ask about the worm being slowly fed by Elder Song with a precious spiritual herb.

"Ah… This is-"

Seeing both Feng Chen and Zu Fei's doubtful and weird expressions, Elder Song quickly explained what the Qi Sapping Worm was, like he had done for Xuan Hao only a short time ago. The inaugural upload of this chapter took place via N0v3l-B1n.

Quickly causing both Feng Chen and Zu Fei to look at the small worm with both a surprised and fearful look on their faces.

Chapter 323 - The Formation Hall's Entrance Test!

Walking in the direction of the Formation Hall, Xuan Hao did his best to not get noticed by the different elders passing by them, as it would take forever if he were to stop and be greeted by all the elders passing them on the way there. The sun was still high in the sky, so both disciples and elders were filling up the roads and streets of the Flying Sword Sect.

The only thing making sure that he was not seen by the surrounding elders passing them, was his domain. Hiding him from the view of the elders passing by. Allowing him to walk beside Fang Yu without being greeted by every single elder passing them…

He didn't mind his current position in the slightest. The only demerit was the fact that every single elder would come over to greet him whenever he showed up… Something he could live without, as it did make it quite hard for him to move outside of his mountain.

Luckily, this problem had been solved after reaching the Domain Lord Realm, as he could now hide himself from the elders with the help of his domain. Allowing him to freely move through the Flying Sword Sect without being stopped by someone along the way!

Walking together with Fang Yu, Xuan Hao suddenly remembered the fact that the entrance test to the Formation Hall might only be done during a specific time of the day. Maybe they didn't even do it every day!

"Ah, I forgot to ask, but is there a specified time where you can take the entrance test for the Formation Hall?"

"Hm… From what I know, there is no specific time where they hold the entrance test, I would normally just go up and ask one of the elders and the elder would then conduct the test for me."

Hearing Xuan Hao's question, Fang Yu only thought about it for a short moment before answering confidently, she had after all been trying to overcome the entrance test of the Formation Hall for the past two years…

"That's good, I hope you are ready. After today, you will officially become a member of the Formation Hall!"

"T-thank you…"

Blushing a bit shyly upon hearing Xuan Hao suddenly tell her that she would pass the test so confidently, she also had to make her grandmother proud!

Thinking about all of this, Fang Yu felt even more motivated to succeed in completing the entrance test of the Formation Hall!

"You're here to take the entrance test again…?"

Arriving at the Formation Hall, Xuan Hao decided to just watch over Fang Yu from behind as she went over towards one of the elders standing just outside the Formation Hall.

He did not want to accidently influence the elders of the Formation Hall by being there… Having Fang Yu do it by herself would be more suitable, as the elders of the Formation Hall would not give her any kind of favourable treatment or decided to just let her enter because he was there to support her.

In the end, Xuan Hao feared that doing something like that would end up resulting in the sect mission from the system failing…

"Yes!"

"Hah… Follow me, we will do it in the usual location…" Sighing a bit upon hearing her answer, the elder seemed to have already tested Fang Yu in the past.

Whoosh~

Soon, both of them left towards a small area located behind the Formation Hall with Xuan Hao secretly following behind. Devoid of any disciples and elders walking around like the entrance of the Formation Hall.

At most, there were a few elders situated in a corner drinking some kind of brownish liquid together with a smile on their lips as they chatted among each other.

Stopping for a short moment to look over towards the elder and Fang Yu who had just arrived.

"Oh, it's the little girl again! What was her name… Fang Yu? It's been quite some time since she came to try and beat the entrance test last time… Perhaps she finally managed to beat the last part and learned the fire burning formation?"

"Haha, I hope so! It's rare to see any disciples as dedicated as that little girl!"

"Pft, who are you fooling? You are just after her dear grandmother!"

"You!"

"What? Was I wrong?"

"Haha, you indeed got him this time around!"

Listening in on the three elders chatting together, Xuan Hao heard something quite interesting. Apparently, they already knew about Fang Yu and thought well of her. At least two of the elders did. The last one was questionable… Maybe he should warn Fang Yu's grandmother when he handed her back…?

"Are you ready?"

"Yes!"

Having arrived in the small peaceful area located behind the Formation Hall, Fang Yu gazed over at the three elders observing her from the distance out of the corner of her eye before focusing back at the elder that was going to administer her entrance test. Nodding her head as she signalled that she was ready for the test.

"Great! I don't think I have to explain what the test is all about, so let's start with the formation for increasing the temperature in a small area!"

Nodding his head approvingly after seeing how confident and obedient Fang Yu was, the elder took a few steps back. Giving some space for Fang Yu to set up her first formation.

Whoosh~

Not holding back in the slightest after seeing that the elder had moved out of the way, Fang Yu immediately began setting up the formation and within only a few seconds, she had finished and could easily increase the temperature inside of her formation by a few degrees.

"Good! Looks like you improved since the last time I saw you! You can move onto the formation for decreasing the temperature!" Nodding his head approvingly as he inspected the formation, the elder soon gave her the go for setting up the next formation.

"Yes!"

Whoosh~

Following what the elder had told her, Fang Yu undid her first formation and began setting up the second formation for decreasing the temperature inside the small area covered by the formation.

Soon, a second formation appeared in front of Fang Yu, who quickly displayed the use of the formation by decreasing the temperature inside of it by a few degrees.

"It really looks like you have had a breakthrough since last time I saw you, I still remember that you struggled quite a bit to keep up this formation back then. Only just barely passing! But now it looks like you are easily able to do it…"

Smiling at Fang Yu as he nodded his head approvingly at her once again, the elder began to feel like Fang Yu might have a chance to finally break free from her cycle of constant failures and officially pass the entrance test and enter the Formation Hall!

"Now for the last formation… The fire burning formation… Are you ready, Fang Yu?" Having a serious look on his face for once, the elder asked Fang Yu, even using her name.

"Yes!"

Not wavering in the slightest, Fang Yu nodded her head confidently as she answered the elder.

"That is good, then I hope you will show me how much you improved since last time!"

Encouraging Fang Yu one last time, the elder took a few more steps back to give a proper amount of space to Fang Yu.

"Hah…"

Whoosh~

Taking a deep breath, Fang Yu calmed down before she began to set up the fire burning formation. Doing her best to replicate how she had done it when she had succeed for the first time back in Xuan Hao's training ground.

Fwoosh!

A small fire suddenly ignited. Signalling the fact that the formation had officially been set up!

Fwoosh~

A few seconds slowly passed with the elder nervously keeping an eye on the small fire. Making sure that it did not explode like it had in the past.

"You really did it!"

It was only after a little over ten seconds had passed, that the elder finally calmed down before walking over to inspect Fang Yu's formation with a happy smile on his face.

"Congratulations, Fang Yu, you can now be considered a member of the Formation Hall!"

The elder felt extremely happy saying this to Fang Yu, he knew very well how much it meant for her. After all, he was among one of the elders that had watched how hard she had tried improving over the past years to pass the entrance test and enter the Formation Hall. Other disciples would simply give up and move on to another profession or just focus purely on improving their cultivation.

Not Fang Yu! She had kept trying, until she finally succeeded in entering the Formation Hall today!

The joy and elation Fang Yu felt upon hearing the elder saying that she was now a member of the Formation Hall, was immeasurable!

… The inaugural upload of this chapter took place via N0v3l-B1n.

"Wow, I never expected that little girl to finally succeed…"

"Indeed, I for sure thought that fire burning formation would end up exploding like it did in the past… She really did improve a lot since last time…"

"Now she will be a member of the Formation Hall! Do you guys think her grandmother will come over from time to time to check in on her? Maybe she might finally come back to the Formation Hall again!"

""…""

"W-what…? Why are both of you looking at me like that!?"

"Hah… This idiot…"

"This guy… Was it not your fault she decided to leave in the first place?"

"…"

Back at the corner of the small area, Xuan Hao listened to the conversation among the three elders.

"It looks like Fang Yu will have a hard time in the future…" Muttering this to himself while looking at one specific elder among the three, Xuan Hao left the small area and returned to his former spot in front of the Formation Hall where he had been standing before Fang Yu left with the elder to take the entrance test.

Chapter 324 - Qi Gathering Formation

"Thank you so much for your help, Elder Xuan! I couldn't have done it without your help!"

After Fang Yu had officially managed to pass the entrance test for the Formation Hall, the first thing she did, was rush back out of the formation hall to thank Xuan Hao.

"No problem, it's natural for an elder like me to help disciples like you whenever there is a problem." Trying his best to act like a wise elder by copying how he had seen Elder Song interact with disciples from time to time, Xuan Hao reassured Fang Yu before turning to look at the elder that had followed behind her out of the Formation Hall.

"Well, it looks like you still have to officially register at the Formation Hall, so I won't be standing around here any longer and just let you finish your registration procedures." Before the elder from the Formation Hall could react, Xuan Hao waved goodbye to Fang Yu before silently taking his leave. Not giving the elder any chance to talk with him.

If that happened, he might end up stuck at the entrance of the Formation Hall talking with the different elders of the Formation Hall…

"Farewell, Elder Xuan!"

Not finding it weird that Xuan Hao left after seeing she had managed to pass the entrance test, Fang Yu just smiled happily as she waved goodbye to Xuan Hao, who soon completely disappeared from view even before she finished saying her goodbyes.

After registering, she would also have to go and visit her grandmother to deliver the good news of her finally passing the entrance test and entering the Formation Hall!

"E-elder Xuan…?"

The elder coming out together with Fang Yu could not help but stare over in the direction Xuan Hao left. Slowly beginning to realize what just happened and who the person helping Fang Yu had been.

However, this only caused the elder to grow confused… The inaugural upload of this chapter took place via N0v3l-B1n.

Elder Xuan was skilled in formations…? Had he not just found out that Elder Xuan was also skilled when it came to alchemy from one of his good friends at the Alchemy Hall…?

How come he was skilled enough in formations to even help Fang Yu overcome the test she had struggled with for two years straight!?

All the elders from the Formation Hall had already tried their best to help her our in the past! But no one had succeeded, yet Elder Xuan had done it!

"Hah… I really can't underestimate the Core Elders…" Muttering this to himself as he looked back down at Fang Yu still happily waving in the direction Xuan Hao had left in. The Elder soon made his way back into the Formation Hall together with Fang Yu to get her officially registered as a member of the Formation Hall.

[Sect Mission: Help the young disciple trying to enter the Formation Hall (complete)]

[Description: The young inner disciple of your sect, Fang Yu, has been trying to enter the Formation Hall for the past two years without any success even with the close to non-existent test difficulty. Find out the reason and help her enter the Formation Hall.

[Reward: Qi Gathering Formation Blueprint, Strength of the Formation Hall will increase]

[Redeem: [Y/N]

Having made his way back to his pavilion, Xuan Hao brought the sect mission given by the system up before quickly redeeming the reward.

Whoosh~

A large influx of information suddenly filled up his mind, as the information on how to set up a Qi Gathering Formation was imprinted into his sea of consciousness like the alchemy knowledge and different potion recipes had done in the past after he redeem them.

The overall process only lasted for a split second before the information had been imprinted into his consciousness.

The only thing he lacked for actually setting up the Qi Gathering Formation himself, was the rare materials required for it and becoming a stronger Formation Master. Meaning, the current him had no way to set up a Qi Gathering Formation at the moment…

But even then, he still learned just how useful and important a Qi Gathering Formation was, the formation itself being capable of absorbing the surrounding qi between heaven and earth over a large area before concentrating the qi inside of the Qi Gathering Formation was good...

But this was not the main use of the Qi Gathering Formation…

The main use of the Qi Gathering Formation was its ability to gather and absorb the purer qi from high up in the sky! The higher up the Qi Gathering Formation was built, the higher quality qi it would be able to gather from above!

For example, if a Qi Gathering Formation was built of the ground where most of the Flying Sword Sect's disciples were living, they would be able to enjoy living in an environment with more qi and purer qi than the tallest mountain peak of the Flying Sword Sect where the Sect Master lived!

Sadly, the resource requirements for setting up the Qi Gathering Formation was way too steep for the current Flying Sword Sect. The main reason for this being the fact that it would require several different Mystic Grade materials! Outside of that, the core material of the Qi Gathering Formation was Transcendent Grade above the Mystic Grade!

It had to be said that Mystic Grade was something Domain Lords would fight to the death over, while Transcendent Grade materials, metals, or spiritual herbs, was something Ascension Realm Experts would fight to the death over!

Not really something that was easy to come by, yet the Qi Gathering Formation required something from that grade…

Xuan Hao could only put his ideas of setting up a Qi Gathering Formation aside for the future. For now, it would be far too difficult for the current him to set up a Qi Gathering Formation and he would also have to worry about what would happen if a Soul Ascension Realm Expert passed by and saw it…

With this in mind, Xuan Hao instead focused on the second part of the reward that would increase the strength of the Formation Hall but found out that nothing had really happened even after he had redeemed the reward from the system.

Whoosh~

Checking up on the Formation Hall to see if anything had happened, Xuan Hao could only return empty handed.

Perhaps the increase in strength mentioned by the system, really did have something to do with Fang Yu. Now he would just have to wait for her to grow up before the Formation Hall would see an increase in strength…

Chapter 325 - Third Stage Of The Domain Lord Realm!

You can read the novel fast updates at

"Qing Yi and Chu Yang should be returning soon; I should use the last few days with only Bai Ning around to use the reward from the system…"

Back at his pavilion, Xuan Hao had decided to use the cultivation reward given by the system immediately instead of waiting until he broke through to the Third Stage of the Domain Lord Realm by himself. The main reason for this being the fact that he discovered the fact that the system had a 48-hour time limit for him to redeem the cultivation increase reward in place…

Given that he had already spent over a day since he completed the knowledge quest from the system, Xuan Hao did not want to accidently end up losing the opportunity to increase his cultivation realm due to something urgent coming up.

Whoosh~

Having made up his mind, Xuan Hao returned to his room and closed off the door before sealing the surrounding environment off with his domain. Making sure no one would come in and interrupt him during the breakthrough.

[Reward: Cultivation Increase of one Minor Realm]

[Redeem: [Y/N]

Yes!

Bringing up the system, Xuan Hao proceeded to redeem the reward before he suddenly felt an enormous influx of qi coursing through his entire body.

Whoosh!

Not only was it an influx of qi, but a vast amount of information also began to fill up his mind. Expanding his knowledge about his sword domain, while at the same time increasing the strength of his soul.

Boom!

The entire process lasted only for a little over five minutes before the influx of both qi and information came to a stop. Leaving Xuan Hao alone to absorb the vast sea of pure qi flowing through his body together with the information.

At the very least, the strength increase to his soul was not something he had to do himself, as the system did it for him. Allowing his soul to grow even stronger without much effort.

Boom!N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapter's release on N0v3l--B1n.

Spending the rest of the day along with the night, Xuan Hao managed to absorb all of the pure qi inside of his body. Breaking through to the Third Stage of the Domain Lord Realm!

The only thing lacking behind at the moment was his domain, that had still not increased in strength even after he reached the Third Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

Xuan Hao, However, was not worried about this. The main reason for this being that the increase in strength to his domain came from the information that the system had inserted into him earlier! After spending some time fully comprehending the information that the system had imparted onto him, his domain would be able to catch up with his current cultivation realm.

This was also the first time Xuan Hao found out that he would not have to increase the strength of his Domain to breakthrough to the next stage of the Domain Lord Realm… But he had a feeling that if he wanted to breakthrough to the next major realm, the Soul Ascension Realm, he should not neglect increasing the strength of his domain…

Thinking about all of this, Xuan Hao spread out his divine sense and began checking up on the current situation of his third disciple along with the rest of the Flying Sword Sect.

Not surprised at all upon finding out that his disciple was still asleep in his room, it was after all early in the morning and the rest of the Flying Sword Sect was no different, with only a few elders and disciple walking around the sect.

Xuan Hao honestly felt a bit disappointed when he noticed the fact that most of the people who were up early today were instead just people coming back to the sect after a night out… Even worse, most of those people were the elders…

Maybe the elders of the Flying Sword Sect are a little too carefree…?

Wondering this to himself as he shook his head in disappointment, Xuan Hao began to look forward to the time when the Flying Sword Sect and the Spring Flower Sect merged together. At that time, the elders of the Spring Flower Sect should be able to whip the elders of the Flying Sword Sect into shape, or at the very least serve as a rival.

After all, when all was said and done, there was no way those old people would be able to tolerate the fact that the younger generation would begin to respect the elders of the Spring Flower Sect more than them…

Xuan Hao looked forward to that point in time and even contemplated whether he should go and visit the sect master to speed the merger between the two sects up.

He already knew that there was a lot of boring stuff involved in the merger that Elder Song was taking care of, like how resources would be managed in the future, how to monitor and keep the sects along with other powers inside their territory in check…

The list continued of things to do continued on for an ungodly length and Xuan Hao had to praise Elder Song for his expertise in putting forth solutions for all these problems so quickly…

"Let's go and see if there is something I can help out with…"

Not knowing if there really was anything he could do to speed up the merger between the two sects, Xuan Hao still decided to go and see if he could help with anything.

After all, if the Flying Sword Sect increased in strength and the amount of land that they covered increased, he would be able to have access to a large pool of potential disciples… The more people showed up, the higher the chances of someone with good talent showing up would be!

The stronger the Flying Sword Sect, the easier it would be for him to recruit talented disciples!

Going out and searching all over the world for talented disciples was not something he wanted to spend his time doing. The danger and time involved in doing something like that was way higher than just staying in one place letting the talented disciples come to him by themselves…

Coming to this conclusion, Xuan Hao decided that he would help increase the strength of the Flying Sword Sect!

Chapter 326 - Future Sect Location!

Whoosh~

Leaving his pavilion behind, Xuan Hao headed over in the direction that he had sensed Feng Chen's aura. Hoping that he had something for him to help out with to maybe help speed up the process of the merger between the Flying Sword Sect and the Spring Flower Sect.

Not really realizing the fact that it was still early in the morning and the first few rays from the sun had just barely appeared, as the shone down on the Flying Sword Sect.

At the same time, Feng Chen was sleeping peaceful inside of his pavilion. Having decided to get some proper rest instead of meditating through the night after spending the last few days being chased by a weird fruit and encountering countless dangerous situations.

The mental strain he had experienced during that time was not something that would easily go away without a proper rest…

"Feng Chen! Are you there?"

It was during that peaceful time of recovery, that a familiar voice suddenly echoed through his head. Forcefully interrupting his sleep!

Whoosh!

"W-what is it…?"

Feeling a bit annoyed at the fact that he had just been woken up, Feng Chen still put up with it and rushed out of his pavilion to meet Xuan Hao. After all, something serious might have happened to the sect! If that was the case, it would require his attention! Even if he wanted to sleep for a few more hours…

"Ah, I just wanted if there was something I could help out with to speed up the merger between our sect and the Spring Flower Sect. Now that everyone is still asleep, I don't really have much to do outside of cultivating and felt like I wanted to help out a bit for once…"

"…"

Not realizing the fact that Feng Chen's face slowly grew darker upon listening to what he said, Xuan Hao explained his reason for showing up so early. N0v3lRealm was the platform where this chapter was initially revealed on N0v3l.B1n.

"Hm…" Still feeling a little annoyed at the fact that he had just been woken up by Xuan Hao, Feng Chen thought about Xuan Hao's question for a short moment.

"If you are looking for some way to help up with the merger, you could help see if there is any suitable location to move the sect to. After all, we will soon have a huge influx of new people… You can try visiting the Shattered Star Peaks, with your current strength you should be able to visit the Main Peak! Try and see if you can find a way to deal with the chaotic qi up there as well!"

The Shattered Star Peaks was by far the best location to relocate the Flying Sword Sect in the future. The place was way larger than the current Flying Sword Sect and at the same time also had a way better cultivation environment, if the chaotic qi could be dealt with properly…

Sending Xuan Hao to check it out and see if he could find anything at the Main Peak was a good way to have him help out. At the same time, he would also be able to return back to his pavilion and get a few more hours of sleep before the rest of the sect began waking up…

"The Shattered Star Peaks…? Got it! I will go and check out the main peak and see if I can find a way to deal with the chaotic qi!"

Whoosh!

Leaving Feng Chen behind. Not noticing anything wrong with what Feng Chen had said, Xuan Hao flew in the direction of the Shattered Star Peaks. Remembering the time that he had visited the place with Qing Yi and Chu Yang in the past.

Back then, he could clearly feel how damaging the chaotic qi would be someone if they were not protected from it. The only thing that he could think of that protected someone from the chaotic qi to some degree, was the lotus flower platforms located on the summit of the Third Star Peak.

Xuan Hao already knew that he had no way to replicate the lotus flower platforms at his current level, but he had another way to deal with the chaotic qi that he had just learned recently and that was the Qi Gathering Formation!

The Qi Gathering Formation did not only gather qi from the surrounding environment and the sky above but would also purify the qi to some degree and make it easier to absorb for the cultivator.

In essence, the Qi Gathering Formation could be used to neutralize the chaotic qi on the Shattered Star Peaks!

Now the only thing he needed was resources enough to support the creation of nine giant Qi Gathering Formations to cover each of the Nine Mountains… Not really something that was doable given his current situation…

"At least the Flying Sword Sect should be able to move to the Shattered Star Peaks in the future after I find the resources needed for the Qi Gathering Formations…" Muttering this to himself while flying towards the Shattered Star Peaks, Xuan Hao soon found himself at the small city located at the base of the Ninth Star Peak.

The city had not changed since he had visited with Qing Yi and Chu Yang in the past, but it was only at this moment that Xuan Hao realized just how small the town was compared to the Ninth Star Peak.

Even the smallest of the Nine Star Peaks was enormous! Far beyond any mountain in the Flying Sword Sect!

Whoosh~

Flying over the entrance that he had gone through last time he was there, Xuan Hao soon arrived at the summit of the Ninth Peak. Overlooking the large forest spreading on for miles on end.

Inspecting the large forest from the air, Xuan Hao could truly feel how large the Ninth Star Peak was compared to the Flying Sword Sect.

Just the sheer size of the summit with the lush forest growing on it was more than large enough to house the entire Flying Sword Sect!

Even getting one Qi Gathering Formation put in place on top of one of the Shattered Star Peaks, would be more than enough for the current Flying Sword Sect and they would also be able to grow in the future by expanding onto the other Star Peaks…

Chapter 327 - Finding An Old Friend Of Chi Hu

Looking down on the lush forest below him, Xuan Hao felt a bit surprised upon noticing the large number of people searching for spiritual herbs inside of the forest.

Compared to the last time he had gone through the forest with Qing Yi and Chu Yang, there were far fewer people and Xuan Hao had not expected for there to be such a large influx of new people showing up to search for spiritual herbs… Maybe it was related to the collapse of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom? N0v3lRealm was the platform where this chapter was initially revealed on N0v3l.B1n.

Thinking about this, Xuan Hao decided to see if he could find anything in common between the people inside the lush forest below him and soon enough, he did find a similarity between a large part of the people searching for spiritual herbs.

The similarity in question, was the fact that most of the people had come from the collapsing Heavenly Sky Kingdom. Most of them had come to search for a new place to settle down, while others just hoped to earn a few spirit stones from gathering spiritual herbs at the Ninth Star Peak before leaving the territory of what was considered the Heavenly Sky Kingdom.

Even if that territory was not in the control of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom. The people still feared that sects like the Flying Sword Sect, Spring Flower Sect and Seven Fates Sect, would soon collapse just like the Heavenly Sky Kingdom…

After all, most ordinary cultivators and citizen of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom had no idea how the kingdom worked and just believed that the Royal Family was in control of everything inside of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom! After the collapse of the Royal Family of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom, it would only be natural for the rest of the territories under the Heavenly Sky Kingdom to collapse like they had…

There was some truth behind that belief, as most kingdoms were far stronger than the sects and other powers that existed inside their border and so, when those kingdoms fell, so would all the powers beneath them…

The Heavenly Sky Kingdom was an abnormality in that sense, where the sects were stronger than the Royal Family.

"Hm?"

Flying towards the Main Star Peak of the Shattered Star Peaks, Xuan Hao came to a stop above the Third Star Peak where he had met Chi Hu in the past before he broke through to the Nascent Soul Realm.

Back then, Chi Hu had come to the Third Star Peak to enter a final meditation. Attempting to breakthrough to the next major realm or die to the chaotic qi!

Xuan Hao remembered that Chi Hu had come together with a group of old friends and grew a bit curious, as he could not help himself from scanning the Third Star Peak with his divine sense.

A long time had already passed since he had been to the Third Star Peak and he doubted any of Chi Hu's old friends would still be around, as most people who came to the Third Star Peak would at most last a single month before breaking through or dying to the chaotic qi.

Even if the lotus flower platform could protect the people cultivating on top of it to some degree from the chaotic qi, it was not able to completely protect them.

As a result, the people cultivating on top of the Third Star Peak would perish from the corrosion and other damaging effects brought on by absorbing the chaotic qi…

"One of them is actually still alive…?" Staring down towards a lotus flower platform located towards the edge of the summit, Xuan Hao could not help but exclaim in a surprised tone.

Among the elders that had gone up together with Chi Hu, Xuan Hao could clearly remember that each of them had been one step into the grave, while at the same time being at the Peak of the Core Formation Realm!

Even then, for one of them to have survived on top of the Third Star Peak… Xuan Hao felt a bit curious towards this individual…

Whoosh~

Secretly descending from above, Xuan Hao landed only a few meters away from the flower lotus platform that one of Chi Hu's old friends were meditating on, it was also at this moment that Xuan Hao realized that the elder in question had managed to breakthrough into what could be considered the half a step into the Nascent Soul Realm.

"Hah… She is too weak to take the final step into the Nascent Soul Realm…"

The person in question was an elderly woman and after inspecting her current situation with his divine sense, Xuan Hao quickly found out why she had not broken through to the Nascent Soul Realm yet.

Her body had weakened far too much due to the corrosion of the chaotic qi and it was a wonder how she had managed to stay alive for so long.

If she broke through to the Nascent Soul Realm in her current state, Xuan Hao could easily predict her outcome. The Cloud Tribulation would descend and attempt to merge with her newly born Nascent Soul, this in turn would put an enormous stress on both her newly born Nascent Soul along with her half dead physical body… In the end, she would just end up dying after breaking through…

"Hm… Should I help her…?"

Taking out the last purification pill in his possession, Xuan Hao felt a bit conflicted.

On one side, he could give the purification pill to Chi Hu's old friend. The purification pill would purge all the chaotic qi from her body and at the same time strengthen her soul. Allowing her to recover and have a chance at living through the Cloud Tribulation.

On the other side, he didn't really know much about the old lady other than the fact that she was an old friend of Chi Hu, who had come to the Third Star Peak to take one last shot at trying to breakthrough and reach the next major realm.

Giving her his last purification pill seemed to be quite wasteful compared to giving it to someone from the Flying Sword Sect… But if he saved her, Chi Hu would surely be grateful towards him and the Flying Sword Sect. Maybe he could even convince her to join the Flying Sword Sect like her old friend Chi Hu…

"Hah… What to do?"

Chapter 328 - Helping Chi Hu's Old Friend

Wondering what to do as he looked over at the old lady on the lotus flower platform in front of him, Xuan Hao began to feel her body slowly begin deteriorating at an increased speed compared to just a few seconds ago.

"How convenient…"

Not having a lot of time left before the old friend of Chi Hu decided to kick the bucket, Xuan Hao stepped up on the lotus flower platform before walking over beside the dying woman, who didn't even notice him when he was standing right next to her. Fully focused on trying to look for a way out of her current situation, while still staying alive in the process.

Sadly, her body did not work with her and just kept getting worse and worse with each passing second. The chaotic qi now having already begun to fill up every corner of her body as it ravaged through her meridians and dantian.

Xuan Hao could clearly see this happening through his divine sense, and he knew that she was about to enter the final state of her last meditation on the Third Star Peak.

At that point, the chaotic qi would end up completely replacing any of the cultivator's normal qi and slowly devour them from the inside in a process that took less than a minute. Leaving behind nothing of the former cultivator outside of the clothes and precious items they might have been carrying before their death.

These items would normally be taken away by some cultivators that came to the Third Star Peak to look for an opportunity to strike it rich looting what some of the old experts might have left behind.

The only thing stopping these people from not just outright robbing them of their precious items when they were still alive, was due to the fact that the other experts in or about to enter their last meditation, would likely kill them…

For this reason, these people would have to be sneaky when doing thing. Only striking when their target had already passed away.

Xuan Hao could already feel a few other people behind him, that had noticed the fact that the old woman in front of him was nearing her end and had begun moving closer towards the lotus flower platform where she was located.

"Hey! What do you think you are doi-"

Seeing one of the people in question walk up to scold him or something along that line because he thought he was there to go after the thing left behind after the old woman passed away, Xuan Hao did not even bother waiting for him to finish.

Bang!

Whoosh~

Directly launching the poor fella flying off the side of the Third Star Peak…

""…""

The other people who were about to come forward and back up their friend in calling out Xuan Hao in an attempt to get some of the old experts to deal with him, stopped as they looked over at Xuan Hao fearfully before wisely backing off. Not daring to say anything.

The few Core Formation Experts paying attention to what was happening also stopped as they decided not to interfere in what Xuan Hao was doing.

Given his strength was at least around their level, they were almost certain that he would not bother about the things that they were carrying with them for their last attempt at breaking through to the next major realm.

After all, before coming to the Third Star Peak, they would have left most of what precious artifacts and spirit stones they had left somewhere safe or given it to their friends or family just in case they didn't make it back again…

What little they had left, was of no use to someone like themselves… Therefore, most of the Core Formation Experts keeping an eye on what was happening thought that Xuan Hao might have been a friend of the old woman or maybe even a relative that had come to say goodbye before she passed on…

What are these old people thinking about…?

Seeing the weirdly sympathetic looks that the surrounding Core Formation Experts gave him, Xuan Hao had no idea whether to laugh or cry. The inaugural upload of this chapter took place via N0v3l-B1n.

Hah… No use thinking about what these old people are thinking about, I have to act fast if I want to save this old friend of Chi Hu…

Shaking his head as he ignored the looks of the surrounding people, Xuan Hao spread out his domain and isolated the lotus flower platform that he and the old woman was on.

Having isolated the lotus flower platform from the outside world, Xuan Hao quickly made it impossible for the people outside to see what was happening inside.

"Y-you… You are… T-that elder… C-Chi Hu-…"

The old woman did not seem to be completely unaware of what was going on in the outside world. Opening her eyes as she looked over at Xuan Hao while trying to ask him something.

"Yes, I'm the elder from the Flying Sword Sect that recruited Chi Hu."

Understanding what she wanted to ask without hearing her full sentence, Xuan Hao answered truthfully. Not wanting to hide his origins in the first place.

"W-why… A-are you… H-here…?"

Barely getting four words out before she could no longer continue, the old woman asked Xuan Hao in a clearly confused voice. Not understanding why, he had come to visit her.

"I was passing by and found out that one of the people who were with Chi Hu back then was still alive. After that I decided to come over and see if there was anything I could help with, Chi Hu is after all a member of the Flying Sword Sect now and its only normal for me to help him look out for his friends!"

Saying this, Xuan Hao could see the old woman growing a bit emotional as a relieved expression clearly appeared on her face after hearing Chi Hu was fine.

"T-that's… Great…"

Not saying anything more, the old woman slowly closed her eyes again. At the same time, Xuan Hao clearly felt the body of the old woman grow even weaker.

"Eat this!"

Knowing that he didn't have any time left before the old woman left this world, Xuan Hao only said these two words before forcing her mouth open with his domain before the Purification pill floated off his hand and into the now open mouth of the old woman.

"…!"

Not able to say anything as she felt her mouth being pried open before a pill of some sort entered it, the old woman could do nothing. Only able to watch as the pill dissolved into a large amount of energy that coursed through her body. Purging any and all the chaotic qi inside of her in an instant before rushing towards her dantian.

"Wha-?"

Having recovered some of her strength after the chaotic qi had left her body, the old woman could only look over at Xuan Hao with a confused expression on her face before the energy from the purification pill finally reached her dantian.

"Argh!"

Like what Elder Song had gone through in the past, Xuan Hao watched from the side as the energy from the purification pill rushed into her core floating at the centre of her dantian.

"AH!"

However, compared to the past when Elder Song had experienced this, Xuan Hao remained completely calm as he listened to the pained screams of the old friend of Chi Hu.

Crack~

Like what had happened with Elder Song, Xuan Hao watched on as he observed several small cracks appearing on the golden core of the old woman.

Boom!

The old woman's aura began changing rapidly as her golden core broke apart and gave birth to her nascent soul in the shape of a small ball of light that remained floating quietly at the centre of her dantian.

Feeling the aura of the old woman, Xuan Hao could not help but feel happy that he had sealed off the lotus flower platform. Preventing the aura from spreading out and alerting every single person on the Third Star Peak.

"It's here…"

Just as the Nascent Soul had been born, a small cloud appeared inside of the old woman's dantian.

The cloud was different from the cloud tribulations Xuan Hao had seen in the past, being completely silver without a single hint of gold in it.

Swoosh~

Flying over, the silver cloud did not wait around for the old woman to recover after her breakthrough to the Nascent Soul Realm, as it began merging together with the newly born Nascent Soul.

Boom!

Like he had done in the past, Xuan Hao stood on the side and carefully observed the process of the silver cloud merging together with the newly born Nascent Soul.

At least the energy brought into her body by the purification pill had helped remove the chaotic qi inside of her and rejuvenated her strength to some degree, but even then, Xuan Hao had no idea whether she would be able to survive.

There was nothing more he could do to help. At this point, he could only hope that she would be able survive her cloud tribulation and successfully reach the Nascent Soul Realm…

Chapter 329 - Zhu Lian

At the same time that Xuan Hao was helping Chi Hu's old friend with making a breakthrough to the Nascent Soul Realm, his two disciples had managed to finish their first sect mission. Dealing with the bandit group before making their way towards the River Sect to gather the Pure Heart Spirit Grass at the Pure Heart Lake.

Even if both Chu Yang and Qing Yi had somewhat come to know about the current situation of the River Sect, it was not something they could get involved in at their cultivation realm. The most they could do, was complete the sect mission before making their way back to the Flying Sword Sect and informing them.

Letting the Flying Sword Sect decide how they would deal with those sects…

"Are you going to return to the River Sect, or will you be following us to the Pure Heart Lake?"

Walking along the road leading away from the Red Flower Ridge where they had dealt with the bandits just a few hours ago, Chu Yang could not help but turn around and ask Huang Yongyu with a curious look on his face.

After all, Huang Yongyu going to the Pure Heart Lake where all of his sect's enemies had gathered together, was nothing short of asking for trouble.

Chu Yang also doubted that he and Qing Yi would be able to keep him safe when going there…

Both of them were protected by their identity as disciples of the Flying Sword Sect, they would not dare to kill them or harm in fear of the Flying Sword Sects retaliation!

Huang Yongyu was different, as the experts from the enemy sects might decide to secretly kill off Huang Yongyu.

Their current cultivation was simply way too low to find out if someone at the Core Formation Realm sneaked up on them before killing Huang Yongyu and escaping.

If something like that happened, there was nothing Chu Yang or Qing Yi would be able to do.

"I… I will be following you to the Pure Heart Lake… The sects would just think that our sect send out someone below the Foundation Establishment Realm and would not care about sending someone to kill me.

The area covered by the Pure Heart Lake is also large and the sects are mostly concentrated in the area closer to my sect, so we should be fine as long as we don't move around the area that those sects have under their control…"

Thinking about it for a short moment, Huang Yongyu answered Chu Yang with a determined look on his face.

He had finally gotten the opportunity to wander out from his sect, there was no way he would willingly return if he had a chance to continue adventuring together with Chu Yang and Qing Yi!

"Fine… We should be get going before they find out about what happened to the bandit group here. Given that they were about to move when we attack them, we might have a few days. Maybe even a week or more left before the sects find out about what happened here!"

Nodding his head after seeing how determined Huang Yongyu was to follow them, Chu Yang agreed to letting Huang Yongyu follow them to the Pure Heart Lake before reminding both him and Qing Yi that they needed to get moving.

Roar~

Moving down the Red Flower Ridge to the place where they had left the demon beast behind. The group of three soon stopped the demon beast in question lazily relaxing beneath a tree with a half-eaten rabbit in its mouth.

"Let's get going!"

Following Chu Yang, the three soon climbed up the demon beasts back before ordering it to get up.

Roar!

The demon beast could only swallow what remained of the rabbit as it reluctantly rose up from its comfy spot in the shade provided by the tree. Moving in the direction of the Pure Heart Lake.

Back at the Third Star Peak, Xuan Hao watched over the old woman as she the silver cloud slowly completely merged together with her soul.

Boom!

The aura of the old woman suddenly reached a brand-new level, as Xuan Hao felt the last bit of the silver cloud being absorbed by the new-born nascent soul.

"Congratulations on reaching the Nascent Soul Realm!"

"I-"

Congratulating the old woman with a slight smile on his lips, Xuan Hao watched as she slowly opened her eyes and looked up at him with a confused expression on her face. Clearly still not knowing why he had decided to help her reach the Nascent Soul Realm.

The pill that he had given to her was surely something incredibly precious, it had after all helped her expel the chaotic qi inside of her body and even helped her breakthrough and reach the Nascent Soul Realm!

But this was not the most important thing! The old woman could clearly feel that her soul had undergone a complete transformation.

Compared to the past, she felt like it would be easier to improve her cultivation in the future! The inaugural upload of this chapter took place via N0v3l-B1n.

All of these things combined left the old woman even more confused. Failing to understand what she had done to deserve something like that…

"Don't worry so much about it, you're a friend of Chi Hu. Given that he is also a member of the Flying Sword Sect now, it's only natural to help out! By the way, I never managed to get your name…"

Interrupting the old woman's train of thought, Xuan Hao quickly clarified the fact that he had helped her because of Chi Hu and the fact that he was a member of the Flying Sword Sect. Trying not so subtly to influence the old woman's perception of the Flying Sword Sect to be a positive one.

Nodding her head, a bit nervously as she listened to what Xuan Hao said, Zhu Lian quickly moved her exhausted body in front of him before bowing deeply towards Xuan Hao full of gratitude. Expressing her sincere thanks for his help.

"My name is Zhu Lian… Please accept my bow, I can't even begin to repay you for saving me earlier!"

Zhu Lian knew very well how she would have ended up without Xuan Hao's help, so her thanks came from the depth of her heart.

"No need to worry about it…"

Xuan Hao felt a bit awkward upon witnessing Zhu Lian bowing down in front of him and quickly tried to help her up.

"No, this is the least I can do!" Insisting on thanking him, Xuan Hao could only allow her to continue as a few minutes passed before she raised her head up from the ground.

"Now that you have reached the Nascent Soul Realm, I will give you the same option I gave Chi Hu back then and invite you to become an elder or you-"

"Yes! I will join the Flying Sword Sect!"

Not even allowing for him to continue what he was going to say, Zhu Lian interrupted him as she answered with an unwavering determination on her face. Clearly wanting to join the Flying Sword Sect.

Well… It's quite normal I guess; she was after all just saved by me and she might feel that joining the Flying Sword Sect would be a good way to repay me for saving her…

Other than that, the Flying Sword Sect is not weak by any means and at the same time does not really have any enemies after the destruction of the Raging Flame Sect.

"Great! I still have something to do here, but you can just head towards the Flying Sword Sect and look for Chi Hu to help you out with getting settled down. He has after all gone through the process once already…"

Nodding his head as he happily instructed Zhu Lian, Xuan Hao removed the barrier formed by his domain around the lotus flower platform to stop people from looking in while he helped Zhu Lian breakthrough.

"T-they appeared again!"

"Wow… Out of thin air… The lotus flower platform is also back!"

"What happened…? Why is the old woman suddenly fully recovered and even giving off such a powerful aura!?"

"S-she reached the Nascent Soul Realm!"

Unknowingly, Xuan Hao concealing what was happening on the inside, had caused the entire lotus flower platform along with him and Zhu Lian, to disappear directly in front of the people on top of the Third Star Peak.

Now, the moment that they appeared again, Xuan Hao could not help but feel baffled as he watched the old people that had gathered together to enter a life and death seclusion rush over to see what was happening.

Most importantly, someone had broken through to the Nascent Soul Realm.

"I will see you back at the sect…" Not wanting to end up being swarmed be a group of old people, Xuan quickly took his leave. Directly disappearing before either the old people coming over or Zhu Lian could react in time.

"See you…"

Looking in the spot that Xuan Hao had been standing only a moment ago, Zhu Lian could not help but feel a bit bewildered at how he had just disappeared in front of her.

She had not even seen him move before he was gone!

Now that she was in the Nascent Soul Realm, she thought that she had gotten strong, but after seeing Xuan Hao just disappear without her even being able to sense him, Zhu Lian could not help but feel like she still had a long way to go…

Joining the Flying Sword Sect might have ended up being the best decision i ever made...

Thinking this as she thought about how she would be joining a sect with someone that strong and kind in it, Zhu Lian could not help but feel herself growing excited.

Chapter 330 - Second Star Peak...

"This should be the Second Star Peak…"

Having left Zhu Lian to fend for herself against the swarm of elderly cultivators curious about the person who broke through to the Nascent Soul Realm back at the Third Star Peak, Xuan Hao flew up towards the peak of the Second Star Peak.

He felt like he would at least have to check it out...

After all, from what he knew, there should not be anyone that had made their way up the Second Star Peak since the star fell from the sky and shattered eight out of the nine mountain peaks…

"This… Is getting quite difficult…"

Whoosh!

Flying up towards the peak of the Second Star Peak, Xuan Hao soon found himself landing on the small worn-down path leading up the mountain.

"I never expected for the chaotic qi to become so dense…"

Having felt an increased pressure from the chaotic qi as he flew up the Second Star Peak, Xuan Hao was forced to land and walk. Using his domain to fly up the mountain was simply way too exhausting, and it was close to impossible for him to recover any of the qi that he expended given the fact that there was only chaotic qi around him…

He could still sit down and slowly absorb and purify the chaotic qi, but that process would take a long time and Xuan Hao did not really want to spend a few days scaling up the Second Star Peak…

Walking up with only his physical strength while protecting himself from the chaotic qi with his domain was a way easier solution and would at most add a few extra minutes to his journey up the Second Star Peak…

"Hah… Finally, here…"

Taking his last step up the Second Star Peak, Xuan Hao could not help but let out an emotional sigh as he looked at the summit of the Second Star Peak stretching on for miles in every direction.

The only thing standing out about the environment of the Second Star Peak's Summit, was the large chunks of blue coloured rocks that were spread around all over the entire summit.

"What is this…?" Walking up to one of the nearby chunks of blue coloured rocks, Xuan Hao soon felt himself lose all feeling in the arm he was holding onto the blue coloured rock with.

Thumb!

Letting go of the rock immediately, Xuan Hao retreated a few feet away from the strange and now dangerous blue coloured rock.

Looking back down at the arm he had been holding the blue coloured rock with earlier, Xuan Hao saw that it was completely encased in a thin layer of ice as he could barely move it…

Note to self. Don't touch strangely coloured rocks on the ground without thoroughly inspecting them first…

Having dedicated the small lesson to memory, Xuan Hao used the next half hour slowly removing the ice from his arm and recovering it back to normal.

"Now… Let's see what's hidden inside of this… rock…" Proceeding cautiously, Xuan Hao spread out both his divine sense and his domain before he began to slowly and methodically inspecting the small chunk of blue coloured rock in front of him.

Inside the rock, Xuan Hao found an energy that was eerily similar to the green energy that he had found in the form of the plague of the church of the plague god… From what he remembered; it should be-

"Divine energy…" Muttering the name of the thing inside of the rock to himself in disbelief, Xuan Hao became even more cautious of the small chunk of blue rock in front of him.

Divine energy was related to some kind of church, and he did not really have any good impression of the churches in this world…

Even if he had only encountered one, Xuan Hao still remembered the fact that the Sky Empire was currently in the process of creating the Sect Alliance to weaken the churches influence according to what Shu Yao had said.

However, inspecting the divine energy inside of the rock, Xuan Hao found out that there was a stark difference between the green and eerie divine energy of the church of the plague god and the blue divine energy inside of the rock.

The green divine energy gave of an eerie and evil feeling, while the blue divine energy just gave off the feeling of endless coldness. Almost like it could freeze one's soul to death with ease…

The coldness from the blue divine energy was not malicious or evil like the green divine energy and it didn't attack. The earlier point in time where his arm was covered in a layer of ice and slowly began to lose feeling, was most likely just the result of him coming into contact with the divine energy. Not the divine energy attacking him…

"Just how powerful is this divine energy…" Xuan Hao could not help but feel baffled when he realized just how strong the blue divine energy inside the rock was. The green divine energy of the church of the plague god that he had encountered seemed weak and harmless in comparison to the blue divine energy!

The two divine energies were on completely different levels…

"But… where did these rocks come from…?"

Looking away from the small rock in front of him, Xuan Hao looked out over the summit of the Second Star Peak and looked at the countless small and big blue rocks that covered the entire place.

All likely to be filled with the blue divine energy…

Just how much divine energy was left in this place and for what reason…?

Is this perhaps related to the star that fell from above and destroyed this peak along with the other seven peaks?

Thinking about this, Xuan Hao turned his gaze away from the blue rocks on top of the Second Star Peak's Summit before looking up in the direction of the Main Peak.

Even from the peak of the Second Star Peak, Xuan Hao could still not see the top of the mountain. Only barely able to see a few weird blue clouds that concealed what he assumed to be the peak of the mountain.

Looking up at the blue clouds from below, Xuan Hao felt a wave of fear wash over him.

The blue coloured clouds were dangerous... Just looking at them gave him a feeling of certain death, but at the same time, he felt his curiosity towards what was hidden on the Main Peak increase even further.

I will stay here for some time and see if I can learn something from studying the blue divine energy. After that, I will head up the Main Peak!

Supressing his feeling of curiosity, Xuan Hao decided to first study the blue divine energy now that he had gotten the chance to study divine energy for the first time without it dispersing or trying to escape like the green divine energy had.

Maybe he would even be able to absorb some of the powerful divine energy and increase his cultivation realm…

Whoosh~ N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapter's release on N0v3l--B1n.

Feeling motivated to improve, Xuan Hao sat down beside one of the larger blue rocks filled with divine energy and began to study the divine energy.

Soon finding himself open to a brand-new world, as the energy was far more complicated than he had ever imagined.

The energy itself consisting of an endless sea of small divine symbols that seemed to contain the information of both the laws that made up the world and something far surpassing it.

Sadly, the information was simply way too profound for the current him to understand and he could only grasp at a few small pieces of information concealed inside the sea of divine symbols…

But even then, Xuan Hao still managed to gain a lot from what little piece of information that he managed to comprehend.

The small bits of information were far beyond anything he had ever come into contact with before and Xuan Hao slowly began to enter a state of enlightenment as he began to merge together the information, he had comprehended from the sea of divine symbols hidden inside of the blue divine energy with his sword domain.

At this point in time, Xuan Hao's sword domain fully spread out. Slowly, a change began to take place inside of the sword domain, as it began to emit a freezing aura. Similar to the freezing aura emitted from the blue divine energy.

Whoosh!

The environment on top of the Second Star Peak seemed to have completely changed, as the ground was covered in a layer of frost with Xuan Hao in the middle.

The temperature had already dropped below freezing and seemed to show no signs of stopping!

Slowly, the temperature grew colder and colder, but Xuan Hao was completely unaffected by this. Instead, he was completely focused on the information inside the sea of divine symbols that was hidden inside the blue divine energy!

Disregarding everything that was happening on the outside…

Chapter 331 - Fourth Stage Of The Domain Lord Realm!

Time slowly passed as the temperature at the summit of the Second Star Peak dropped even further, Xuan Hao in the middle of the snowstorm that had formed at the summit was still sitting motionless on the ground without opening his eyes.

Fwoosh! N0v3lRealm was the platform where this chapter was initially revealed on N0v3l.B1n.

It was at this moment that his domain suddenly stopped expanding and instead just remained in place as the temperature began to drop at an even faster speed than before, as several ice swords materialized inside of the domain.

Whoosh~

The ice swords did not remain stationary for long, as they soon flew over towards Xuan Hao where they surrounded him in the shape of a giant icy blue lotus flower.

Boom!

A large explosion occurred as the surrounding chaotic qi on top of the Second Star Peak was drawn over towards the motionless Xuan Hao inside the icy lotus flower made of the ice swords that had been formed from his domain earlier.

The moment that the chaotic qi entered the icy lotus flower, the icy swords that made up the lotus flower began to radiate an icy white glow. Slowly refining the chaotic qi that entered into a more stable and pure qi. Following which, the now pure qi gently began flowing into Xuan who quickly absorbed the pure qi in the middle of the icy lotus flower.

The entire thing happened unconsciously, as Xuan Hao still remained completely focused on the small divine symbols that the blue divine energy was made up of.

Boom!

Like this, Xuan Hao directly managed to break through and reach the Fourth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm with the help of the surrounding chaotic qi being purified and channelled into him, but this was still far from over as the surrounding temperature dropped even further.

By this point, everything on the Second Star Peak was completely frozen.

If someone else saw the current condition of the Second Star Peak's Summit, they would surely think they had entered some kind of icy hell as the temperature was low enough to even freeze someone at the Core Formation Realm to death! Even someone at the Nascent Soul Realm would have to be cautious or they might end up freezing to death as well…

A Nascent Soul Realm Expert freezing to death was simply terrifying. Not so much because the power it displayed, but the fact that the temperature was extreme enough to the degree that it could even affect the soul!

That is not considering the fact that the chaotic qi would end up killing them way before they even reached the summit…

Yet, Xuan Hao remained completely unaffected by all of this as the temperature continued to drop lower and lower with no end in sight…

At the same time Xuan Hao was undergoing enlightenment at the Summit of the Second Star Peak, Zhu Lian had just finished up talking with a few of the people who had come over to ask her for guidance after realizing she had broken through to the Nascent Soul Realm.

It was after all, their dream to be like her and break through to the Nascent Soul Realm. Increasing their lifespan and at the same time entering the realm of what was considered the strong.

Zhu Lian did not mind this at all, as she had helped all of them by explaining the process she had gone through when reaching the Nascent Soul Realm. Not mentioning the fact that she had been fed a pill by Xuan Hao beforehand that helped her take the final step and officially reach the Nascent Soul Realm. Only mentioning that Xuan Hao had helped drive out the chaotic qi inside her body and helped her recover some strength before she attempted to reach the Nascent Soul Realm.

At least, the group of old people felt motivated after they heard how Zhu Lian had explained the Cloud Tribulation.

The fact that they would experience a leap in power before the Cloud Tribulation arrived, gave many of the old people on the Third Star Peak the courage they needed to try and take the next step and attempt reaching the Nascent Soul Realm before it was too late…

"By the way, if I may be so rude to ask Miss Lian… Who was the person that came to help you out earlier…?"

An older person who had met Zhu Lian before coming to the Third Star Peak stepped forward and asked just as she was about to leave.

"Ah, that was Elder Xuan from the Flying Sword Sect, he came to help me out because a friend of mine entered the Flying Sword Sect as an Elder a month or so ago…" Not finding bothering to hide Xuan Hao's identity as it would only help paint the Flying Sword Sect in a better picture, Zhu Lian answered her old acquaintance without hiding anything.

"He helped you reach the Nascent Soul Realm… Just because of that…?"

"Yes!"

""…""

The surrounding elders who were about to leave and go back to cultivating stopped as they heard what Zhu Lian and her acquaintance were talking about.

Someone would actually help another person reach the Nascent Soul Realm because of something like that… Why didn't any of my friends join the Flying Sword Sect.

Every single person at the Third Star Peak had this thought go through their head as the lamented over the fact that nobody in their friend group had entered the Flying Sword Sect, if they did so, they might also have gotten the help from Elder Xuan and reached the Nascent Soul Realm just like Zhu Lian.

There were even a few of them that had been elders in some weaker sects inside the territory of the Flying Sword Sect that regretted not just joining the Flying Sword Sect.

Even if their position would be lower than the weaker sect they had chosen. At least they would have a better chance at reaching the Nascent Soul Realm.

A few among them even took out their communication talisman and directly contacted a few of their friends outside the Third Star Peak and encouraged them to go and join the Flying Sword Sect.

"…"

Zhu Lian saw all of this and did not know that she had unknowingly increased the image of the Flying Sword Sect in many of these old people's mind. Even to the degree that they would go out of their way to encourage some of their friends outside the Third Star Peak to go over and join the Flying Sword Sect.

There was even one among the old people on the Third Star Peak that contacted his nephew and told him to quit his current sect where he was a Core Disciple and instead try to become an Outer Disciple of the Flying Sword Sect…

"Hah…" Sighing to herself at the sight of this, Zhu Lian was about to leave when she suddenly felt a terrifying aura erupt from the distance.

Looking over towards the direction that she had felt the aura erupt from, Zhu Lian soon realized that the terrifying aura had come from the Second Star Peak!

Something like this had never happened before on the Shattered Star Peaks and immediately caused her to focus on the direction that the aura came from. Only to realize that it came from the Summit of the Second Star Peak.

"W-what is that!?"

"Something is happening at the Second Star Peak!"

"Maybe a peerless natural treasure is about to be born!?"

Zhu Lian was not the only person who noticed the terrifying aura and the changes happening at the summit of the Second Star Peak.

At this point in time, the entire summit was already surround in an icy storm that caused the surroundings to freeze over completely…

"Maybe the reason Elder Xuan came to the Shattered Star Peak has something to do with what is happening at the Second Star Peak…?" Muttering this to herself as she thought about Xuan Hao, Zhu Lian soon relaxed and felt that it made sense.

After all, someone like Xuan Hao would most likely not come to the Shattered Star Peaks just to help her out.

The reason that he showed up should be because he knew something was going to happen at the Second Star Peak!

"No need for me to worry about any of this… After all, even if I wanted to go and see what it is, I have no way to reach the summit of the Second Star Peak without dying to the dense chaotic qi…"

Shaking her head as she looked up at the ice storm that was increasing in strength on the summit of the Second Star Peak, Zhu Lian began wondering what might be happening up there.

The only thing she could think of was a precious ice related spiritual herb maturing or maybe some powerful ice related natural treasure being born.

Either of the two would be more than enough to cause the people looking on from the Third Star Peak to look up towards the icy storm happening at the summit of the Second Star Peak filled with greed.

Sadly, they had no way to scale the Second Star Peak with their current strength. Even someone in the Nascent Soul Realm would die due to the density of the chaotic qi… Let alone someone only at the Core Formation Realm like themselves!

In the end, they could only look up at the icy storm that was happening at the summit of the Second Star Peak.

Unable to go back to cultivating due to the terrifying aura spreading out from the summit of the Second Star Peak making it hard to calm down and cultivate.

Chapter 332 - New Domain...?

Back at the summit of the Second Star Peak, the temperature slowly stopped decreasing further as things began to calm down.

The icy lotus flower surrounding Xuan Hao also began breaking apart, as the swords making up the icy lotus flower slowly disolved into the surroundings. Disappearing completely from the world. Leaving behind only Xuan Hao on top of the Second Star Peak.

"Hm?"

Opening his eyes as he looked around at the now frozen wasteland that the summit had turned into, Xuan Hao had a confused look on his face before feeling the changes that happened to him.

Quickly realizing that the main reason why the summit had transformed into a frozen wasteland, was him…

Whoosh~

Waving his hand, Xuan Hao watched as a sword martialized in front of him.

However, compared to the past silver coloured sword. The sword currently in front of him, looked like it had been carved out of ice. Even causing the surrounding air to freeze.

Looking at this, Xuan Hao remained unaffected by the sword and was instead more focused on a more crucial and fundenmental change he had noticed upon materializing the ice sword.

"My qi changed…" Whispering this to himself in disbelief, Xuan Hao noticed how his qi had transformed from its former pure silver colour to having a light blue colour mixed into it. Ending half silver coloured and half light blue.

Not knowing what had caused this change to happen in the first place, Xuan Hao decided to enter his sea of consciousness and bring up his system status. Hopefully allowing him to find out if the system could help shed some light on the changes he had just gone through.

Name: Xuan Hao

Domain: Sword Intent Domain, Ice Domain

Talent: ???

Physique: ???

Realm: Peak Fourth Stage Domain Lord

Bringing up his status, Xuan Hao quickly noticed the changes to his domain section, having changed from having one domain to now having two domains…

"You can have more than one domain…?"

Suprised at what he just found out, Xuan Hao quickly inspected it for himself. Soon finding out that he indeed did have two domains instead of one.

The reason that he did not realize this at first, was due to the fact that the two domains were entwined together. Almost to the point of merging into one, both coexisting as a part of him.

The feeling of controlling two domains at once was not really bringing forth any stress or harm to his body or soul for that matter. Instead, it felt completely natural as he used the two domains together as one.

The ice sword he had just martialized a second ago, was a perfect example of the two domains working together as one. Materializing the ice sword currently hovering in the air in front of him.

He didn't even notice the fact that he had been using two entirely different domains before checking his status!

Whoosh~

Playing around with his newfound domain for a bit as several ice sculptures materialized in front of him in shape of his disciples along with Feng Chen, Zu Fei, Elder Song, and some of the other elders he had met in the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao soon stopped. The inaugural upload of this chapter took place via N0v3l-B1n.

His Ice Domain was easy to use and didn't requried him to go through a training montage to master, he already knew how to use it instinctively!

"Now for my qi…"

Having found out about his new domain, Xuan Hao focused on his qi, as the status did not give him any idea as to what had changed in his qi.

The only thing he had to go on, was the fact that he now had an Ice Domain and his qi was half light blue...

"So… Cold…"

Muttering this to himself, as he pushed some of his qi out of his body and inspected it, Xuan Hao could not help but feel baffled when he reached forward and felt the freezing temperature of his qi.

Before this, his qi did not have any temperature so to speak, the sudden change would force him to be even more careful if he decided to have his qi enter one of his disciples to help them out like he had done in the past. After all, the last thing he would want, was to accidently turn one of his disciple into an ice sculpture…

Not finding out anything useful, other than the fact that he might accidently end up freezing one of his disciples to death with his qi in the future, Xuan Hao stood up and looked towards the blue rock that he had been using earlier to study the blue divine energy inside of it.

Only to find out that the blue rock had turned into dust. Leaving nothing behind. The blue divine energy inside of it had also disappeared without leaving a trace behind!

"What in the world happened when I entered enlightenment earlier…?" Xuan Hao could not help but mutter this to himself. Once again looking around at the frozen wasteland he had unconsciously created earlier.

Calming himself down, Xuan Hao walked over to another blue rock filled with blue divine energy inside of it and attempted to put it inside of his interspatial ring.

If he could bring them back with him to the sect, he could study the blue divine ener-

Crack~

Bang!

Throwing away his interspatial ring as he watched it begin cracking apart before exploding and spilling out everything he had stored inside of it along with the blue rock filled with divine energy, Xuan Hao could only walk over to the small pile of his things and take out a new interspatial ring to store the things not ruined by the cold temperature inside.

"…"

Okay… Can't store weird blue stones with divine energy inside interspatial rings... Got it!

Making a new mental note on the fact that blue rocks with divine energy in them could not be stored inside interspatial rings, Xuan Hao could only give up his idea of bringing some of the blue rocks away with him.

After all, he could not touch them and now he couldn't even store them away in his interspatial ring. All he could do was leave them at the Second Star Peak until he found some way to move them in the future.

For now, he would have to come back if he wanted to further study the blue divine energy hidden inside of them.

Even if it might not be as useful as it had been just now when he studied the blue divine energy for the first time, Xuan Hao still knew that studying the blue divine energy would allow him to improve faster!

Whoosh!

Having nothing more to do at the Second Star Peak at the moment, Xuan Hao decided to head towards the Main Peak of the Shattered Star Peaks.

"So, this is the Pure Heart Lake…"

As Xuan Hao was making his way towards the Main Peak of the Shattered Star Peaks, his two disciples and Huang Yongyu arrived at the Pure Heart Lake inside the River Sect's territory.

"Indeed, quite beautiful… Isn't it?"

Smiling widely upon seeing the awed expression on both Chu Yang and Qing Yi's faces, Huang Yongyu could not help feeling a bit proud as he asked.

"It is truly a beautiful lake…"

"Yeah, I really want such a lake like this back in the sect…"

Both Qing Yi and Chu Yang nodded their head in agreement to what Huang Yongyu said. Focusing all their attention on the beautiful lake that spread out before them.

Crystal clear blue water stretching for as long as the eye could see with no end in sight. Lively and healthy fish swimming peacefully through the water. The only thing missing was a good place to sit down and get something to eat and drink while enjoying the view...

If not for the fact that they already knew about the fact that the Pure Heart Lake took up a good ten to fifteen percent of the River Sects territory, Qing Yi and Chu Yang would have thought that the giant lake in front of them had truly been even more suprised at the sheer size of the lake…

"By the way… Where is the Pure Heart Spirit Grass? And the demon beast for that matter…"

Looking out over the Pure Heart Lake, Chu Yang soon realized the fact that he could not see any Pure Heart Spirit Grass or demon beasts mentioned in the mission given by the sect and grew a bit confused. Turning to ask Huang Yongyu for an answer.

"Pure Heart Spirit Grass? Demon Beasts? They can only be found at the Pure Heart Island located at the centre of the Pure Heart Lake…"

Showing a confused expression on his face for a short moment before answering them, Huang Yongyu soon pointed over in the direction of a barely visible island in the distance.

"And how do we get there…? Swim?"

Seeing the island barely visible out on the Pure Heart Lake, Chu Yang turned towards Huang Yongyu and asked him. Hoping that he would not agree with swimming to the island…

Even if he was at the Foundation Establishment Realm, he did not want to swim such a long distance...

"Hm… Most of the demon beasts are hidden inside the lake water, so swimming would not be a good idea at all. Personally, I think we should head to the Pure Heart City and try to get a boat to the Pure Heart Island, but…"

"But what?"

Hesitating a bit when he reached the end of his sentence, Chu Yang hurried for him to continue upon seeing his troubled expression.

"…But the sects against my River Sect are currently controlling most of the city, we have a high chance of being seen by members of the sects if we go there!"

Saying this, Chu Yang could not help but put on a thoughtful expression when he heard what Huang Yongyu said.

Indeed, if they were found out, the sects would most likely try to cause trouble for him and Qing Yi, while Huang Yongyu might end up dead...

How should they proceed...? Try and sneak inside the city and find a way to the Pure Heart Lake, or try to find another way?

Chapter 333 - Main Peak Of The Shattered Star Peaks

As his two disciples were trying to find a way for them to reach the Pure Heart Island, Xuan Hao was making his way up the Main Peak of the Nine Star Peaks.

The journey up the mountain was calm and relaxed for the most part. Only begging to grow more difficult after he reached the height where the summit of the Second Star Peak was located.

At that height, the chaotic qi seemed to have undergone a change of some sort, as it became difficult for even Xuan Hao to advance forward. The chaotic qi forcing him to use his two domains together to protect him from it infiltrating his body and injuring him.

Slowing down, Xuan Hao could not help but feel how terrifying the chaotic qi truly was!

Looking up towards the clouds obscuring the peak of the Main Peak, Xuan Hao began to doubt whether he would even be able to make his way up there in the first place. The increasing pressure from the chaotic qi in the air made it harder and harder for him to move forward and Xuan Hao doubted that he would even have been able to reach his current height in the past before obtaining his new Ice Domain.

Thinking about this, Xuan Hao realized that the only reason why he could continue forward was due to the fact that he had two different domains to help support him and keep the increasingly scary chaotic qi out of his body and dantian. Preventing it from wreaking havoc inside of him.

Whoosh~

A cold wind blew past him, causing Xuan Hao to shiver for a short moment as he felt the chaotic qi increase in strength once again.

This continued on as Xuan Hao slowly managed to make his way up the Main Peak, soon standing directly in front of the weird clouds that were hiding the summit from being seen by anyone looking on from below.

"Hah…"

Taking a deep breath, Xuan Hao used both his domains to their limit before walking headfirst into the weird clouds obscuring the Main Peak…

Walking into the weird cloud, Xuan Hao suddenly felt himself being pushed forward. Soon finding himself in front of what could only be described as a giant version of the blue rocks that he had found on the Second Star Peak's summit.

"W-what is this!?"

Not knowing what to say as he felt an enormous pressure suddenly engulf him, Xuan Hao quickly retreated a few hundred feet away from the giant blue rock before catching his breath.

The pressure given off by the giant blue rock seemed to only cover the few dozen meters around the rock itself, but the pressure alone was more than enough for Xuan Hao to feel the threat of death the longer he remained, as both his domains were slowly cracking apart under the pressure of the giant blue rock.

"Is this perhaps the star that fell in the past…?"

Looking over at the giant blue rock easily large enough to be considered a small hill with its size, Xuan Hao felt like calling it a rock was not suitable.

Rustle~

Hearing some movement behind him when he was wondering over what to call the giant rock in front of him, Xuan Hao spotted a small blue deer without any cultivation appear from some foliage that had grown around the mountain peak.

"Hm? The chaotic qi is gone…?"

It was only at this moment that Xuan Hao realized the fact that the terrifying chaotic qi was no longer around. Instead, being replaced by a weird energy that reminded Xuan Hao of the blue divine energy he had studied earlier. The only thing missing was the part where it could freeze even him to death if he came into contact with it…

Heck, even a random deer could survive with the weird energy around. Showing no side effect up other than the fact that it had turned blue… N0v3lRealm was the platform where this chapter was initially revealed on N0v3l.B1n.

Lowering his guard as he no longer exerted his two domains to their limits, Xuan Hao felt at ease. Finally capable of moving around normally, without having to use both his domains to keep the chaotic qi from invading his body.

The energy that had take up the place of the chaotic qi also did not seem to be harmful in the slightest as Xuan Hao absorbed a tiny amount of it into his body to check its effects.

Instead, the blue energy seemed to replace qi. Easily being refined and turned into pure qi inside of his dantian before Xuan Hao fully absorbed it!

While not as useful as the chaotic qi that he had ended up refining and absorbing at the summit of the Second Star Peak, Xuan Hao still felt that the weird blue energy was far more useful to cultivate with compared to the qi back in the Flying Sword Sect.

More importantly than that, it was easy to absorb and even someone only at the Qi Condensation Realm would be capable of absorbing the weird blue energy to increase their cultivation speed!

The chaotic qi might be more useful to Xuan Hao due to the fact that he was able to refine it, but for someone weaker than him, it would just be seeking death to absorb chaotic qi on the Second Star Peak's summit…

Someone below his strength would definitely benefit way more from absorbing the weird blue energy on the Main Peak… The only problem for them would be reaching the Main Peak.

Even Xuan Hao doubted that he would be able to take someone up to the Main Peak with him given his current strength and how hard it had been to reach for him alone in the first place…

"The weird blue energy seems to be coming from the blue rock…"

Focusing on the weird blue energy, Xuan Hao soon followed the direction it came from and soon found out that the giant blue rock the size of a small hill was the culprit behind the energy on the Main Peak.

The weird blue energy seemed to be slowly leaking out from the giant blue rock. Slowly having filling up the area of the Main Peak…

Xuan Hao also felt that the clouds surrounding the Main Peak had something weird going on about them.

Looking at it from the inside, Xuan Hao felt that the weird clouds were in place to keep the chaotic qi out and keep the weird blue energy inside.

In a sense the clouds could be considered a natural formation of sorts that kept the weird blue energy inside and protected it along with the blue deer from the chaotic qi.

After all, if the chaotic qi could enter, Xuan Hao was certain that the blue deer and the other living creatures that might be present at the Main Peak would soon die off.

The chaotic qi was strong to the point that even Xuan Hao struggled to keep it out with his Sword Intent Domain and Ice Domain working together… There was no way a blue deer without any cultivation would be able to survive under such terrifying circumstances!

"I wonder if there is anything other than the blue rock up here… From what happened at the other eight peaks, it looks like there has been someone else living at the Shattered Star Peaks in the past."

Muttering this to himself as he looked towards the lush forest that seemed to cover the Main Peak, Xuan Hao felt himself grow curious.

Someone who was able to live on the Shattered Star Peaks before it was destroyed by the blue rock in the past, was way stronger than any power Xuan Hao had seen before!

There might even have been someone above the Domain Lord Realm present!

Thinking about this, Xuan Hao could not help but grow excited at the thought of finding the inheritance of an expert above the Domain Lord Realm.

Given the fact that nobody had reached the Second Star Peak in the past few thousand years since the rock had destroyed it along with the other seven Star Peaks, Xuan Hao was almost certain that nobody should have reached the Main Peak before him!

This meant that he would be the only person to have reached the Main Peak over the last thousand or so years!

All he could do now, was hope that nobody had reached the Main Peak before the blue rock had fallen from above…

If that was really the case, then…

Roar!

Not waiting around for any longer, Xuan Hao only took a single step forward before a terrifying roar sounded out in the distance.

Instantly causing him to freeze on the spot. The roar was clearly coming from a demon beast, and it was by no means a weak demon beast!

Rustle~

Following the roar, Xuan Hao heard the sound of something large approaching him at a terrifying speed.

ROAR!

Before Xuan Hao even managed to comprehend what had happened, a large demon beast slowly appeared in front of him.

Chapter 334 - Blue Deer

Roar!

The large demon beast that had just jumped out from the lush forest beside him roared once again as it slowly turned to look down at Xuan Hao, who had already fully prepared himself as the temperature surrounding him began to reduce rapidly. Instantly freezing the everything within a dozen meters of him.

The only reason why it didn't go beyond a few dozen meters was due to the fact that Xuan Hao had only prepared his Ice Domain defensively and hadn't directly gone on the offensive towards the demon beast that just appeared.

R-roar…

The demon beast seemed to have felt the aura given off by Xuan Hao and instantly began shivering. No longer looking as aggressive as it had just a moment ago.

"Nascent Soul Realm…?"

Muttering this to himself upon noticing the cultivation realm of the demon beast in the shape of a giant version of the blue deer he had seen just a moment ago, Xuan Hao observed as the blue deer from earlier appear besides the larger blue deer demon beast.

"A child?" Realizing that the blue deer was likely to be the child of the Nascent Soul Realm demon beast, Xuan Hao began lowering his guard as the demon beast had not come to attack him, but merely to protect its offspring.

Other than that, the blue deer demon beast was only at the Nascent Soul Realm… It was not really something that could threaten him at his current cultivation realm!

Recovering from its earlier fright after Xuan Hao restrained his aura again, the blue deer demon beast along with the smaller blue deer calmed down. Looking over at Xuan Hao for a short moment before turning around to leave after seeing that he didn't attack. Entering the lush forest just behind them.

Rustle~

Watching as the two left, Xuan Hao suddenly saw the smaller blue deer poke its head out from a small bush at the edge of the lush forest as it motioned for him to follow.

"Hm? You want me to follow you?"

Thinking that the demon beast deer along with its child would just leave, Xuan Hao was a bit surprised when he saw the small blue deer suddenly motion for him to follow.

Maybe because there aren't any real threats to it on the Main Peak, it has grown fearless to the point that even Xuan Hao's scary aura from before had no effect on it…

Boing Boing~ The inaugural upload of this chapter took place via N0v3l-B1n.

"Haha, I guess I will be following you then."

Seeing the small blue deer comically try to keep his attention by jumping up and down the moment he slightly lowered his head to think about whether to follow the blue deer or not, Xuan Hao could not help himself from agreeing with the cute creature.

Not like he would be able to get anything from just standing around in front of the hill sized blue rock that would kill him if he got too close to it…

He had also planned to go and take a look at the rest of the Main Peak and following the blue deer might even help him find something related to the past owners of the Main Peak.

The reason why he didn't just spread out his divine sense to search through the main peak was firstly due to the fact that he might accidently wake up some random ancient expert or demon beast that had been secretly recovering from some kind of injury over the past thousand years or something stupid along that line…

After all, his divine sense was far more powerful than the Nascent Soul Realm blue deer demon beast!

That second and main reason why he didn't spread out his divine sense, was due to the fact that the weird blue energy in the air coming from the giant hill sized blue rock, suppressed his divine sense to the degree that it would be difficult to even cover an area a few hundred meters around him.

Rustle~

Having grown impatient after seeing Xuan Hao still not following, the small blue deer began aggressively rustling the leaves of the bush it had poked its small head out from earlier in an attempt to catch his attention.

"I'm coming!" Not knowing what to say to the impatient and fearless blue deer, Xuan Hao could only smile wryly as he followed it inside the lush forest. Not knowing where it was going to lead him and completely ignoring the large blue deer demon beast, who fearfully looked between the small blue deer and Xuan Hao from time to time. Clearly having no idea why its child had decided to bring Xuan Hao along with them.

Like this, Xuan Hao entered the lush forest on the Main Peak together with the one large and one small blue deer.

"Are you sure this is going to work?"

At the same time at the Pure Heart Lake, Qing Yi could not help asking Huang Yongyu in a worried tone as the group made their way towards the Pure Heart City.

"Yes! I'm one hundred percent sure! I tried it in the past when sneaking around the sect! Nobody will recognize us like this!"

"Fine… You are the one in most trouble if they find out our identities…"

Hearing the reassuring words from Huang Yongyu, Qing Yi did not relax in the slightest. The only thing bringing her some reassurance that the plan would work, was the fact that Huang Yongyu would most likely end up dead in case it didn't work… So, his insistence on moving forward with his plan knowing that… At the very least gave her some confidence that the plan would work.

"I hope junior brother Chu Yang can successfully complete his task…" Whispering these words to herself when she thought about the plan Huang Yongyu had come up with, Qing Yi could not help but send her wishes towards her junior brother.

The part he had to play in Huang Yongyu's plan, was by far the most important one…

"I hope everything ends up going well…"

Walking towards the gate leading into the Pure Heart City together with Huang Yongyu, Qing Yi glanced towards a small river by the side of the road leading inside the Pure Heart City.

The small river in question went through the Pure Heart City and ended up in the Pure Heart Lake according to Huang Yongyu.

Looking at it while moving towards the gate, Qing Yi could not help but feel a worried after spotting the small metal bars that came down and blocked off the small entrance for the river in the wall of the city. Stopping anyone trying to sneak into the city through the river.

After all, breaking the metal bars to sneak inside would instantly catch the attention of the nearby guards standing just beside the river…

Qing Yi could only hope that Huang Yongyu was correct when it came to there being a small hole enough for a single person to squeeze through… If not, their plan would automatically end in failure!

Hopefully, we did not have to dress up like this for nothing…

Looking down on her current torn and dirty clothes, Qing Yi arrived at a small line of people waiting to enter the Pure Heart Lake together with Huang Yongyu. Lining up orderly, both of them waited for their turn.

A few minutes earlier, Chu Yang looked at both Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu before jumping into the river before swimming ahead of Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu. His cultivation base making it easy to hold his breath under water for a long time.

"I will be going… See you at the entrance of the city!"

Splash!

Entering the cold river water, Chu Yang swam to the bottom before sneakily moving towards the city wall of the Pure Heart City.

Soon reaching the metal bars that blocked anyone from sneaking inside the Pure Heart Lake through the river, Chu Yang could not help but breathe a sigh of relief to himself upon stopping a small area where one of the metal bars had broken off at the bottom. Leaving behind just enough space for someone to squeeze through.

One of the metal bars really did break off at the bottom!

Swish~

Not waiting around any longer, Chu Yang hurriedly swam through the small gap at the bottom of the river before having officially made his way inside the Pure Heart City.

Now he just needed to find a way out of the river without being spotted by any guards, members of the sect and residents of Pure Heart City…

Here it is!

Swimming along the river for a few seconds longer, Chu Yang soon came upon a small underwater wooden structure connected to an abandoned building by the riverside.

Swish! N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapter's release on N0v3l--B1n.

Entering the small underwater wooden structure that was slowly rotting away, Chu Yang soon found himself inside the abandoned building.

Looking around himself, Chu Yang could not help but sigh in amazement upon noticing all the different clothes, hats and anything needed for a perfect disguise neatly stored in the abandoned building.

"I really wonder how Huang Yongyu knows about this building in the first place… Perhaps it's not his first time sneaking into the Pure Heart City?"

Muttering this to himself as he quickly changed his clothes into something suitable for their upcoming act.

"Hehe, I really do look like a good for nothing young master now!" Chuckling to himself upon seeing his current appearance in a nearby mirror, Chu Yang could not help donning a small evil smile as he left the abandoned building in an arrogant manner.

Trying his best to look the part as he made his way over in the direction of the city gate south city gate that Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu were currently making their way towards.

"Who is that young master? So handsome!"

"Perhaps its someone from one of the sects that have stationed people here! Don't you remember how a lot of people began appearing over the past few months? Perhaps he is a young master from one of those sects!"

"Really?! I hope I can catch the fancy of one of those young masters…"

"Ha? Quit dreaming! There is no way someone like that would take an interest in an ordinary girl like you!"

"What did you say!?"

Bang!

"You dare hit me? Think I won't hit back?!"

Bam!

"…"

Watching the reaction that two female friends had upon seeing him after reaching the main street of the Pure Heart City, Chu Yang could not help but smile wryly as his presence alone had caused the two friends to fight each other.

"Look! The young master looked my way! Do you think he is interested in me?!"

"Ha? No way! He looked at me!"

"No, me!"

Bang!

"I said he was looking at me!"

"You dare?"

Turning to look in another direction, Chu Yang had unknowingly caused three other young girls to begin fighting with each other.

What in the world is happening? Why is everyone acting so weirdly all of a sudden?

Feeling both confused and scared at the fact that he could cause young girls to start fighting each other for no real reason with a mere look, Chu Yang instead opted to look up in an arrogant way to avoid eye contact with any of the young girls walking along the main street.

"Ah… He looks so cool!"

"So arrogant~"

"So charming!"

Unknowingly speeding up his pace as he made his way towards the south gate, Chu Yang could not wait to change out of his current young master disguise and return to how he had been dressed before.

Even when he walked around with the robe of the Flying Sword Sect, he had not experienced such a strong and passionate reaction.

Was there perhaps something special about the fact that he was dressed like a young master…?

Like this, Chu Yang made his way in the direction of the South gate. Ignoring the group of girls that had decided to sneakily follow him…

Chapter 336 - Young Master Chu Yang!

"Next!"

Waiting for their turn in the line into the Pure Heart City, Qing Yi could not help but glance nervously towards the inside of the city. Hoping to spot Chu Yang's figure at any moment as they slowly moved closer and closer to the guard granting access to the city.

If he was not there, they would definitely not be allowed in without giving away their identities first! Especially given how they messed up and dirty both she and Huang Yongyu currently looked, there was no way the guards would allow them to enter without knowing their identities.

However, with the plan Huang Yongyu had come up with they had a shot of entering the Pure Heart City without giving away their identity. Only, Chu Yang, the most important person for their plan to work, was nowhere to be seen!

"Next!"

Watching as the people in front of them slowly went through the gate, Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu were finally called over by the guard as it was their turn.

"Hm? What happened to you two?" Glancing down at both of them and their shabby appearance, the guard could not help but raise his one of his eyebrows in surprise.

This was the first time the guard had ever seen someone looking as pitiful as the two people in front of him! Even the homeless people he had seen in the past were better off than the two young people in front of him.

"W-we encountered a bandit group on our way to the Pure Heart City…"

Remembering the story Huang Yongyu had come up with for their act, Qing Yi did her best to act pitiful as she said this. Hoping that Chu Yang would show up at any moment to help them gain access to the Pure Heart City…

Their plan was a simple, but useful one. Having Chu Yang sneak inside the Pure Heart City and have him act like a young master from one of the sects that had recently began moving more people into the Pure Heart City.

On the other hand, Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu would act like fellow disciples that had been unfortunate enough to encounter bandits on their way to the Pure Heart City and had all their stuff stolen.

After this, Chu Yang would show up and hopefully help in fooling the guards to let them in and handing over a token without having shown any proof of identity… However, this would only work if they successfully managed to give off the impression that they were indeed someone from one of the sects inside the Pure Heart City…

The reason why they didn't all just sneak in through the river, was that they needed a token to get a boat to the Pure Heart Island.

Coincidently, the token in question would be given out at the entrance to the city by the guards after passing their identification process.

"I see… Do you perhaps any proof of identity still left on you? I sadly won't be able to let you in without it…" Showing a sad look upon hearing what Qing Yi said, the guard still asked if they had anything that could help identify who they were.

"W-we don't have any… We lost our sect identification token when fighting the bandits and our robes are not really in good enough condition to be used as identification in its current state…"

Stepping forward, Huang Yongyu showed off his tattered robes filled with several holes from all sorts of different weapons in it.

"Someone from a sect…?! Do you think it's one of those sects…?"

"Who knows? Could just be someone pretending in an attempt to enter Pure Heart City…"

"I don't think so… Just look at the quality of those robes! Definitely not something a normal person could get their hands on! I'm sure they are the robes normally worn by disciples of those sects!"

"True, but can they still let them enter without-"

Listening to the people still waiting in line behind them begin speculating over whether they were truly disciples of one of the sects, Qing Yi supressed her cultivation and deliberately released a pressure comparable to someone around the middle stages of the Qi Condensation Realm. Soon Huang Yongyu did the same thing.

According to what Huang Yongyu had said, this was the normal cultivation realm of the disciples among the sects that were ganging up on the River Sect.

"They really are cultivators!"

"But it still doesn't mean they are from any of the sects!"

"What if-"

Observing both Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu as they 'revealed' their cultivation realm in an attempt to show proof of their identity as sect disciples, the guard felt conflicted on what to do.

On one side, letting them enter without really showing any proof of their identity would be against normal regulations and might end him up in a troublesome situation later on and lose his job, if they ended up not being sect disciples.

On the other side, if they really were sect disciples and he ended up blocking their entry into the Pure Heart City… He might end up suffering a terrible fate later on. After all, the sects were not really known to be kind and he already heard several stories from his friends about how some people who offended the disciples or elders ended up disappearing later on… He did not want to disappear, and he didn't want to lose his job either!

Feeling troubled at his current situation, the guard looked over to the other guards. Only to end up disappoint when seeing all of them look away pretending not to see his current situation.

You guys!

Screaming internally, the guard could not help but curse at the people he thought of as friends in the past.

"I-"

"Ah! There you guys are! What took you two so long? And how did you end up like that?"

Just as the guard was about to come to a decision about? Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu's entry into the city, a loud voice echoed out from behind him as everyone turned to look towards the origin of the voice.

""Senior Brother!""

Seeing Chu Yang appear from inside the Pure Heart City, Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu both seized the opportunity. Putting on a distraught expression as they called out to him.

"Who is this person? He is dressed so well and looks so handsome as well…"

"Is this perhaps one of those rumoured young masters? So those two really were from one of those sects…"

Watching all of this happen from the side, the guard felt a shiver run down his spine.

He had just been about to refuse the Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu's entry into the city, yet a young master from one of the sects had suddenly appeared! Luckily, he did not manage to turn them away yet!

If that really happened, he might have to deal with the anger of the young master currently in front of him… A poor gate guard like him would definitely not survive such an encounter…

"Might I ask if these two are with the young master…" Nervously walking up to Chu Yang while Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu were explaining about their earlier encounter with a group of bandits, the guard asked in a respectful tone. Even bowing his head in an attempt to not anger the young master.

"Are they with me?! Of course, they are! How dare you question this young master!? Do you perhaps want my Ghost Howl Sect to identify ourselves every time we enter and exit this city?!"

Putting on his best young master act, Chu Yang arrogantly said this while throwing out the name of one of the sects currently inside the Pure Heart City, that according to Huang Yongyu, was still in the process of moving a large number of disciples over to visit the Pure Heart Island for a training exercise.

"Yeah! How dare you question the friends of the young master!"

"Wai-"

"Dumb guard! Didn't you hear the young master said his fellow disciples are with him! Why are you not letting them in!?"

"I-"

"Boo! A guard like you should just go away, your ugly appearance stains the young master's pure eyes!"

Watching as a large group of females both young and old appeared from the south gate, the guard was suddenly caught between a rock and a hard place as he was ruthlessly attack by the ravenous group.

"H-here! This is the token for using the facilities of the Pure Heart city, I… Have something urgent to do!"

Not daring to stay around for any longer, the guard hurriedly handed over a token to Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu before running away.

""…""

Looking at how easily things went after Chu Yang showed up, Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu could not help but glance towards the aggressive group of women following behind Chu Yang with a passionate expression on their face. N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapter's release on N0v3l--B1n.

Maybe Chu Yang was born to be a young master…?

Feeling this thought enter their mind at the same time, Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu soon entered the Pure Heart City together with Chu Yang.

Chapter 337 - Following The Blue Deer

Back at the main peak of the Shattered Star Peaks, Xuan Hao was walking through the lush forest that covered the entire main peak together with the two blue deers. The small blue deer leading the way, with the bigger one cautiously following behind him. Not daring to take its eyes off him for even a second in case he decided to do something.

"Hah…"

Sighing audibly upon seeing how cautious the larger blue deer was of him, Xuan Hao could not help but regret letting out his aura earlier. Even after everything had calmed down and he didn't attack, the large blue deer still remained extremely scared and cautious of him.

Well… Not that I can blame it…

Thinking this as he thought about it from the large blue deer's point of view, Xuan Hao could indeed see why it remained so cautious and scared of him… He was after all someone who was far stronger than it and would easily be able to kill it along with its child, the small blue deer…

Thump thump!

Seeing the small blue deer leading the way suddenly come to a stop as it lightly stomped both its small hooves on the ground before looking back towards Xuan Hao. Clearly wanting him to come.

"What is it little one?"

Walking up beside it and soon spotted a few decaying objects in the shape of small lamp posts. Covered by shrooms and other foliage from the forest that had overgrown the small lamp posts over the years.

"A path?"

A narrow stone path could barely be discerned beneath the thick foliage around the lamp posts, as Xuan Hao felt the excitement of discovering something related to the power that had occupied the Shattered Star Peaks in the past.

Following the narrow stone path would surely be able to lead him to some kind of ruin and from what he had experienced so far. Ruins would often have some kind of precious artifact, cultivation manual of precious spiritual herb inside of them!

At least when nobody had visited them beforehand…

"You want me to go?"

Glancing over towards the small blue deer that refused to take another step forward along with the larger blue deer not even daring to step anywhere close to the narrow stone path.

Thump!

The small blue deer seemed to have understood what Xuan Hao said as it stomped both its front hooves in confirmation before looking up at Xuan Hao with an almost pleading look on its small, cute face.

"I see, so something dangerous is that way and you want me to deal with it…?"

Understanding the reason why the small blue deer had brought him here in the first place, Xuan Hao didn't know whether to laugh or cry as the small blue deer had intended to use him as a means to deal with the problem at the end of the narrow stone path…

Nod Nod~

Innocently nodding its small head with an almost human expression on its face, Xuan Hao confirmed the fact that the small deer clearly understood what he was saying and at the same time didn't see anything wrong with sending a total stranger like him off to deal with the whatever was waiting at the end of the stone path…

[Side Quest: You encountered a small blue deer asking for help to deal with a threat that once took the life of the small blue deer's mother.]

[Reward: Full Moon Ganoderma(Mystic)] The original appearance of this chapter can be found at Ñøvlß1n.

Just as Xuan Hao was about to scold the small blue deer, the system sprang into action as a new side quest appeared. Confirming his initial suspicion about the fact that there was something dangerous waiting for him at the end of the stone path.

"A Mystic Grade Full Moon Ganoderma…"

Seeing the reward from the side quest, Xuan Hao could not help but whisper quietly to himself .

The Qi Gathering Formation required five different mystic grade materials outside of the Transcendent Grade required for the core of the formation.

The five different mystic grade materials each belonged to one of the five elements. Fire, Wind, Water, Wood and Metal. The material related to the fire element already in his possession in the form of the Ash Sunstone that he was given by the system long ago…

The Full Moon Ganoderma just so happened to be the mystic grade item from the wood element that the Qi Gathering Formation required, with it, he would be in possession of two out of the five required mystic grade materials needed to set up the Qi Gathering Formation!

"Guess there is no reason not to explore where the stone path leads to…"

Knowing that he would have gone to explore what laid at the end of the narrow stone path even without the side quest and the small blue deer urging him to go, Xuan Hao glanced back at the excited small deer happily moving around the larger blue deer as it watched him move forward.

"What a weird deer…" Muttering this to himself as he rolled his eyes at the small blue deer's clearly excited expression, Xuan Hao left the two blue deers as he moved along the narrow stone path until the two blue deers completely disappeared from sight.

Leaving Xuan Hao alone on the narrow stone path.

Whoosh!

Not intending to continue moving as slowly as he had when he followed the small blue deer earlier, Xuan Hao increased his speed, while at the same time preparing his defences in case he was ambushed along the way.

After all, given the simple fact that the system had given him a quest, Xuan Hao knew that whatever the small deer wanted him to deal with, was something that would be able to pose a threat to him!

Feeling himself grow more and more cautious the longer he travelled along the narrow stone path, Xuan Hao didn't even notice how the stone path began to expand the closer he got the end of the path.

It was only when it had already expanded to over double its size that Xuan Hao noticed it, but he didn't pay too much attention to this and instead just continued to travel along the ancient stone path.

"What in the world is happening!?"

It was only after travelling for at least an hour that Xuan Hao came to a stop as he looked around at the ancient stone path that had now transformed into a large ancient stone road.

"I should have reached the end of the stone path- stone road, long ago… Why does it seem like I'm not moving at all?!"

Voicing his thoughts, Xuan Hao looked at the stone road filled with confusion, he had clearly travelled far faster than a normal person could walk and given his current speed, he would already have been back at the Flying Sword Sect… Let alone reach the edge of the Main Peak!

Having already seen the Main Peak from the ground, Xuan Hao very clearly knew how big it was!

"I don't believe I can't reach the end of this stone road!"

Whoosh!

Not holding back in the slightest this time around, Xuan Hao exerted all his strength. Instantly crossing dozens of miles within a few seconds.

Slowly, another hour passed…

"Hah… How come… Hah… There is no end to this bloody road…? Why can't I leave?"

Sitting down on the ground in a spot that looked exactly the same as the place he had been an hour ago, Xuan Hao could not help but feel a wave of helplessness wash over him.

At this point he had already realized he was trapped in some sort of confusion formation similar to the mist formation around the Flying Sword Sect that would cause people below a certain cultivation realm to always end up in the same location that they entered through.

No, the formation he found himself in was different. Instead of calling it a confusion formation like the Flying Sword Sect's mist formation, it was more fitting to call it an entrapment formation, as it trapped him inside with no way out…

Xuan Hao had already tried moving off the road, but the road would soon appear in front of him after moving through an empty forest for a few minutes.

Flying up into the air would not help either, as the sky would turn into a solid surface after moving up a few hundred meters.

Breaking through the sky would then end up with him digging his way out of the ground next to the road. Digging down beneath the road on the other hand, would cause him to appear a few hundred meters up in the sky with the road beneath him…

Xuan Hao very clearly understood that the entrapment formation that he was inside of, was way above anything he understood.

It very clearly incorporated the manipulation of space to a level that Xuan Hao had never seen before, he even speculated that the formation itself was set up by someone at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm. Maybe even someone in the Soul Ascension Realm!

"Now… How do I get out…?"

Knowing that following the stone road would not help him, Xuan Hao sat down and began thinking about ways to escape the entrapment formation.

Chapter 338 - Finding A Way Out!

Having managed to shake off the group of people following after them, Chu Yang, Qing Yi, and Huang Yongyu had changed their clothes once again before making their way towards the small harbour of Pure Heart City.

Walking onto the pier of the small harbour of Pure Heart City after showing one of the tokens to a nearby guard, they made their way over towards one of the many small sized boats in the process of preparing to head towards the Pure Heart Island.

"So, this is the boat that will be taking us to the Pure Heart Island?"

Looking over at the small boat, Chu Yang could not help feeling a bit uncertain. After all, from what Huang Yongyu had said, the Pure Heart Lake had quite a few demon beasts hidden inside of it…

"No need to worry, the bottom of the boat is covered in a special material that makes it invisible to the demon beasts of the Pure Heart Lake. The only thing we need to keep in mind is to not make too much noise or the demon beasts will notice."

Hearing what Chu Yang said, Huang Yongyu quickly reassured him. Not forgetting to point towards the weird blue material that covered the bottom of the small boat in front of them, a small part barely visible above the surface of the water.

"What about any disturbance that the boat causes in the water…?" Not convinced after hearing what Huang Yongyu said, Qing Yi came forward and asked Huang Yongyu with a sceptical expression on her face.

Even if the demon beasts couldn't see them, they would at least be able to feel the movement in the water from the boat's movement…

"… Hah… You two don't need to worry about it that much, if it didn't work and the boats got attacked by demon beasts constantly, do you really think they would still be used…?" Giving up on explaining anymore, Huang Yongyu knew very well that him answering Qing Yi's question would end up causing another question to appear. Followed by another question and then another…

Huang Yongyu did not really feel like explaining every little thing about how the boat worked, as that would at the very least take a few hours…

"You have a point…"

Unable to find anything wrong with what Huang Yongyu said, Qing Yi and Chu Yang no longer questioned the safety of the boat as the group soon made their way over and boarded the small boat about to take off towards the Pure Heart Lake.

With Huang Yongyu paying for the trip as Qing Yi and Chu Yang only brought a few spirit stones with them. Forgetting the fact that they would need normal coins for most transactions…

Swish~

Like this, the boat soon left the small harbour of the Pure Heart City and made its way towards the Pure Heart Island located in the middle of the Pure Heart Lake.

Bang!

"Hah…"

Letting out an exhausted sigh, Xuan Hao watched as the giant hole in the ground in front of him slowly began to mend itself before returning to its former state.

"Guess force will not be able to break the entrapment formation… Or at the very least, the attack is still far too weak to do something like that…"

Muttering this to himself with a curious look on his face, Xuan Hao had tried to come up with some kind of solution that would be able to get him out of his current predicament. However, all he could come up with was hitting the ground as hard as possible and hope for the best…

Not really the smartest idea, but at the very least he hoped that the formation would have grown weaker since it had been so long since it had been set up.

After all, his skill when it came to formations was not anywhere strong enough to be able to figure out a way to break through the formation…

"What about attacking a large area at once…?

Whoosh!

Trying out his new plan of action, Xuan Hao began using both of his domains together, as the temperature around him began to reduce rapidly.

At the same time, several ice swords began to form mid-air before they began wildly destroying the surroundings environment. Almost instantly destroying the lush forest that covered every piece of land surrounding the ancient road.

"No use…?"

Seeing that the trees and the ground still able to keep up with this speed of destruction inflicted by both his domains, Xuan Hao decided to try something different…

Whoosh~

With a wave of his hand, the ice sword currently in process of destroying everything around them in an attempt to beat the recovery rate of the formation, suddenly came to a stop before all of them flew back towards Xuan Hao.

"Hmph!"

BOOM!

Using both his domains to control the numerous ice swords in front of him, Xuan Hao directed them to attack a single point in ground just in front of him as they quickly broke through.

"Hm?"

Looking up at the place that the ice sword should have appeared, Xuan Hao was confused for a moment as he saw nothing appear.

"It's not there? Maybe…"

Opening his eyes wide as a thought suddenly dawned on him, Xuan Hao jumped into the hole that his ice swords had created before appearing a few hundred meters in the sky with the rapidly closing hole behind him.

Whoosh!

However, all of this was not something Xuan Hao was interested in watching. Instead, he continued downwards with his ice swords in front of him.

Bang!

Piercing yet another hole in the ground, Xuan Hao soon found himself a few hundred meters in the air above the lush forest and the ancient road.

However, this did not stop him, as he soon reached the ground before making yet another hole. Like this, Xuan Hao continued straight down without showing any sign of stopping.

Ching~

Having continued through an unknown number of ancient roads, Xuan Hao for the first time felt his ice swords bounce off as they hit the ground. Unable to pierce through.

"This should be at the edge of the formation, if I break through here, I should be able to escape…"

Staring at the ground that his ice swords had failed to break through, Xuan Hao smiled happily to himself as his idea had been correct.

The formation did indeed move him around through spatial manipulation, but the spatial manipulation was way more limited than he had first thought.

Instead of it covering everything, the spatial manipulation only covered the four different direction he moved in and didn't cover the sky and the ground. Like this, Xuan Hao could break through the ground or the sky and would appear in a new place that looked just the same as the last.

Having come to this conclusion, Xuan Hao easily deducted the fact that these similar environments had been stacked together. However, the number of these environments were limited. Most likely by the strength of the formation core itself...

After all, given the fact that the formation master could cover the four directions, he would likely also have been able to cover the ground and sky if the formation core was strong enough to handle it.

"Guess I'm quite lucky…" Shivering at the thought of what would happen to him if the formation core had been strong enough to handle what he deemed the complete version of the entrapment formation, Xuan Hao could not help feeling happy at the creator of the entrapment formation's bad luck at finding a strong enough formation core.

"Now I just have to break it!"

Not wanting to stay for even a second longer inside the entrapment formation, Xuan Hao focused solely on his Sword Intent Domain as pure silver sword martialized in his right hand.

Whoosh!

Standing still with the sword in his hand, a powerful air current surged up as the swords terrifying aura began overflowing, forming an invisible pressure as the ground beneath his feet began showing sign of cracking apart at any moment.

Raising his hand. The silver-coloured sword swung down towards the ground without making any noise. The violent air current and terrifying pressure seemed to have completely disappeared for a short moment before the blade of the sword began to gently cut into the ground beneath him

A short moment after the sword had cut into the ground, an endless sword aura instantly enveloped the entire space Xuan Hao was inside of.

BOOM!

Followed by that, Xuan Hao's silver sword began tearing into the wall making up the edge of the entrapment formation.

Rip~

No matter how strong the formation was, the attack of Xuan Hao was simply too strong, as a small line first appeared before spreading at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Soon, Xuan Hao could look directly outside through as the entrapment formation slowly began disintegrating around him!

Wait… What happens to the formation core…?

Suddenly feeling like he had made a huge mistake by forcing his way out of the entrapment formation, Xuan Hao barely managed to turn around before the entire formation managed to disintegrate completely.

Crack~

But this was more than enough time to see what had most likely been a Transcendent Grade material acting as the formation core disintegrate along with the rest of the entrapment formation.

"…"

I really wish I didn't see that… The original appearance of this chapter can be found at Ñøvlß1n.

Feeling a profound sadness watching the formation core disintegrate, Xuan Hao soon recovered the strength used in the attack before beginning to look around himself and inspect the place he had just appeared.

Chapter 339 - Sleeping Demon Beast

You can read the novel fast updates at

Observing his surroundings, Xuan Hao quickly realized that he had reached the end of the ancient stone road. The lush forest that covered the main peak had also come to an end as he stood at the entrance to a large opening with nothing inside of it outside a half broken down pagoda at the centre.

This however was not what caught Xuan Hao's attention… Instead, it was a large sleeping demon beast in the shape of a lion laying just beside the broken-down pagoda.

Looking closer, Xuan Hao discovered that the lion demon beast even had a pair of wings on its back neatly hugging its sleeping body as it breathed in and out rhythmically.

A few meters away from the sleeping winged lion demon beast, a large pile of animal bones could be seen. Among which, a pair of giant deer bones could be seen on top of the pile. belonging to the most recent victim of the winged lion demon beast.

"This is most likely the remains of the small blue deer's mother…" Whispering this to himself as he cautiously looking around the open space, Xuan Hao soon calmed down after realizing that the winged lion demon beast didn't wake up.

"The quest wants me to deal with the threat that once took the small blue deer's mother's life… So, I have to deal with the giant winged lion…?" Glancing over towards the giant winged lion, Xuan Hao didn't know how to proceed next.

From just inspecting the aura alone, Xuan Hao had easily determined that the winged lion demon beast was still in the Domain Lord Realm. The only problem was the fact that he could not find out if it was at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm or only the first stage of the Domain Lord without waking it up in the process.

Though… Just looking at it, Xuan Hao doubted that the winged lion would merely be at the first stage of the Domain Lord Realm…

"Maybe I should check out the pagoda first?"

Looking away from the winged lion demon beast, Xuan Hao focused his gaze on the half broken down pagoda just beside the winged lion demon beast.

The broken down and decaying pagoda was by no means small, as it easily towered a few dozen meters into the sky. Given its current decaying circumstances, Xuan Hao even began to wonder how it could stand tall without collapsing.

Just looking up at it from where he was standing, Xuan Hao could clearly see into the first floor of the pagoda where a large part of it seemed to have broken off and fallen onto the ground below. Leaving behind a large hole that anyone walking by could look inside the pagoda through.

I should explore the pagoda first… After all, if I start fighting with that winged lion, the pagoda will most likely end up being destroyed…

Having made up his mind to search through the pagoda before fighting the winged lion demon beast, Xuan Hao sneakily moved towards the pagoda. Levitating just a few centimeters off the ground so as to not make any sound and accidently wake up the winged lion demon beast.

Whoosh~

Arriving in front of the entrance to the decaying pagoda, Xuan Hao cautiously looked towards the giant winged lion demon beast sleeping just a few meters away from him before letting out a sigh of relief upon discovering that the winged lion was still asleep.

I wonder who this pagoda belonged to in the past…

No longer paying any attention to the sleeping winged lion, Xuan Hao marvelled at the beautiful architecture of the pagoda that was still intact while slowly floating inside. Not knowing what he might find inside.

"W-what in the world is this place!?"

Arriving inside the ground floor of the pagoda, Xuan Hao could not stop himself from exclaiming loudly as he stared out at the massive amount of withered up herbs covering the floor of the pagoda. However, the main reason for Xuan Hao's not being able to hold himself back was…

"Why… Why wasn't I born a few hundred years earlier…? So many… Mystic Grade Herbs…"

Feeling a profound sadness as he looked over at least a few hundred, if not thousands withered up Mystic Grade spiritual herb. Even Xuan Hao felt pain in his heart at the sheer number of spiritual herbs that had been rendered completely useless with the passage of time.

While it was often known that a spiritual herb would grow stronger the longer, they were alive. Spiritual herbs were not immortal and even if they had a lifespan way above humans and demon beast, they would still have to advance to the next level to increase their lifespan...

Like the spiritual herbs in front of him, if they wanted to live longer, they would have to evolve into Transcendent Grade spiritual herbs… Sadly, none of the spiritual herbs on the ground floor of the pagoda had managed to take this crucial step in their evolution and reached the Transcendent Grade…

Meaning, all that was left on the ground floor of the pagoda, was the sad withered husks of what had once been extremely rare and useful spiritual herbs… Truly a sight anyone would feel sadness over. Alchemist might even break into tears at the sad sight…

"Hopefully there is something different on the first floor of the pagoda…"

Not wanting to stay around the ground floor where the sad remains of spiritual herbs covered the floor, Xuan Hao could not help turning towards the spiral staircase located at the centre of the pagoda before making his way over.

From what he had seen through the hole in the pagoda from the outside, the first floor of the pagoda was filled with several books that had been scattered all over the place. Similar to how the withered spiritual herbs were laying all over the ground floor of the pagoda.

At least the books would not be able to wither away like the spiritual herbs had… Hopefully, he would be able to find something useful on the first floor…

"…"

Looking down on a book he had just picked off the floor of the first floor of the pagoda, Xuan Hao felt like crying as the book was written in a completely different language than the one that was currently used on the Ewaria Continent!

Even if there was something useful like a peerless cultivation technique or a mythical potion formula, Xuan Hao would have no idea even if he looked directly at it…

"Hm?"

Just as he was about to give up on finding anything useful on the first floor of the pagoda, Xuan Hao barely managed to spot a few familiar letters on a book partially buried beneath a few other books at the edge of the hole he had seen making his way over to the pagoda earlier.

Whoosh~

Not daring to be too loud with the winged lion demon beast sleeping just outside, Xuan Hao slowly levitated towards the book before gently pulling it out of them small pile of books on top of it before moving away from the hole.

Keeping his eye on the winged lion demon beast the entire time. Making sure that it didn't wake up from its deep sleep. N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapter's release on N0v3l--B1n.

"Hah…"

Arriving back at the spiral staircase, Xuan Hao let out a sigh of relief upon discovering that the winged lion was still deep asleep. Showing no signs of waking up any time soon.

He really didn't want to fight with it before he had finished searching the pagoda for anything precious…

"Movements of the… Hm?"

Looking down at the title of the book, Xuan Hao realized that part of the title had been scratched off.

Opening the book, Xuan Hao quickly realized that the book was not really a book in a sense, it was more like a record that noted down the movements of several different people. All of whose names Xuan Hao had never heard of before.

The only thing that gave Xuan Hao some idea about how strong the people noted down in the book were, was the fact that original writer of the book had included several footnotes beside each of the people's names. Stressing the importance of them and showing off the pure terror the writer had felt towards the people he or she had been keeping an eye on.

Looking through the book, Xuan Hao found the names of several familiar locations and at the same time, even more unfamiliar locations he had never heard of before…

However, one thing clearly stood out to him as he was reading through the book and that was the fact that all the people mentioned inside the book, was part of some kind of ancient power that had been at war with the power behind the person who had originally written down the book.

"I wonder what happened in the past…"

Not having heard much about the war that was mentioned in the book, Xuan Hao felt like it might be related to the ancient war that happened in the past… Maybe it was even related to the power that had once ruled the area that had now become the Ewaria Continent…

Chapter 340 - Third Blue Feather

Putting the book away in his interspatial ring, Xuan Hao glanced over towards the hole in the wall of the pagoda leading to the outside before continuing up to the next floor of the pagoda. Not wanting to stay around too long in case he ended up waking the winged lion up by accident.

The faster he finished searching through the pagoda, the faster he would be able to ensure that he didn't accidently wake up the winged lion sleeping just outside…

After all, the last thing Xuan Hao wanted to happen, was for the winged lion to wake up and destroy the ancient pagoda along with everything inside of it.

"Empty…"

Reaching the next floor of the pagoda, Xuan Hao quickly? scanned through the entire floor before showing disappointed expression and continuing onwards towards the next floor after realizing that the second floor of the pagoda was completely empty. Not even simple furniture was present on the second floor as if someone had come along and reduced everything inside to dust before scattering those remains. Leaving behind the completely empty second floor…

Continuing onwards through the next few floors of the pagoda, Xuan Hao was only met with similar empty floors. Each no different from the last.

"Now only the last floor remains…"

Having made his way through all the empty floors, Xuan Hao no longer had much hope of finding anything useful inside of the pagoda. From his point of view, it almost seemed like the floors above the first floor had been completely emptied out before the pagoda had been left behind.

Thinking about it, it was most likely related to the ancient war in the past. Perhaps the people living in the pagoda in the past had been found and had decided to evacuate the pagoda before their enemies came for them...

But somewhere along the line, their enemies had shown up before they had managed to pack away all their stuff and thus, the things on the two lowest floors had been left behind as they ran away…

Coming to this conclusion, Xuan Hao felt that it made sense. There was just one thing missing…

"Just how is the giant blue rock filled with divine energy related to all of this… The ancient war should have long since ended by the time that the blue rock fell from above and shattered eight mountain peaks before coming to a stop at the Main Peak… "

Maybe there was something more to the main peak that he just didn't see yet…?

Shaking his head upon thinking about all of this, Xuan Hao decided to just focus on exploring the last floor of the pagoda as he slowly made his way up the spiral staircase before arriving at the top floor of the pagoda.

Entering the top floor of the pagoda, Xuan Hao was surprised upon realizing that it was not empty like the other floors. Instead, it looked completely untouched. Almost like the past owners of the pagoda had forgotten about it when cleaning up the other floors of the pagoda…

"This is…"

Scanning over the top floor of the pagoda, Xuan Hao soon focused on a small pedestal located in the middle of the top floor before a look of a shock appeared on his face.

"Another blue feather…"

Muttering this to himself as he walked over to the pedestal and looked down on the all too familiar looking blue feather on top of it, Xuan Hao could not help growing curious about the origin of the blue feathers.

The two other blue feathers he had found so far had been in locations that were related to the ancient war to some extent and the pagoda was also seemed to be related to the war in question…

Whoosh!

Just as Xuan Hao was about to pick up the blue feather and put it away in his interspatial ring, the blue feather on top of the pedestal suddenly flew towards him before entering the interspatial ring by itself. Ignoring the laws of space as it soon appeared inside Xuan Hao's spatial rings floating quietly beside the two other blue feathers.

"Well, that was-"

Rumble!

A few seconds after the blue feather had settled down inside Xuan Hao's interspatial ring, the surroundings began to shake violently as the pagoda slowly began to collapse around him, causing him to panic for a short moment. Not because the pagoda was collapsing around him, but because he was certain that the collapse would end up waking up the winged lion demon beast sleeping just outside…

ROAR!

As if knowing what Xuan Hao was thinking, a large roar could be heard coming from the outside as a terrifying aura began spreading out across the Main Peak rapidly. N0v3lRealm was the platform where this chapter was initially revealed on N0v3l.B1n.

"At least the later stages of the Domain Lord Realm…"

Not worried about accidently waking up the winged lion demon beast, Xuan Hao began analysing its strength. Not surprised in the slightest at the fact that it was in the later stages of the Domain Lord Realm.

ROOOOAAARR!

Having felt Xuan Hao's presence, the moment it woke up, the winged lion did not care even the slightest about keeping the collapsing pagoda intact.

Angrily swinging its giant paw towards the top floor of the pagoda where Xuan Hao was located without holding back.

BANG!

As the enormous paw of the winged lion hit the top floor of the pagoda, a few symbols shone for a brief moment. Stopping the giant paw of the winged lion for an instant before beginning to collapse under the pressure of the winged lion's paw along with the rest of the pagoda.

The few formations still intact on the pagoda itself were clearly in a bad state compared to how strong they had been in the past and could not defend against the attack of the winged lion for more than a few seconds… But this was more than enough time for Xuan Hao to react!

Whoosh~

Flying down the staircase before leaving the pagoda, Xuan Hao easily managed to dodge the paw attack of the winged lion without any effort.

"This is way bigger than before…"

Looking over at the winged lion as it directly destroyed the pagoda, Xuan Hao could not help sucking in a cold breath of air as he finally realized just how massive the winged lion was. Easily being as tall as the pagoda itself! The pagoda was a seven-floor pagoda!

The winged lion demon beast was by far the largest and at the same time the strongest demon beast Xuan Hao had encountered to date and even the demon beast that he had encountered back in the secret realm was nowhere near as strong as the winged lion in front of him…

"Maybe it has reached the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm…?" Whispering this to himself as he felt the winged lion's terrifying aura wash over him, Xuan Hao struggled to truly discern the real cultivation realm of the winged lion demon beast.

The difference between someone at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm and someone in the later stages was huge, it would be like having someone at the eighth stage of the Nascent Soul Realm fighting against someone at the Half-Step Domain Lord Realm.

Only… The difference between each minor realm in the Domain Lord Realm, was way larger than in the Nascent Soul Realm!

Roar!

Spotting Xuan Hao who had just flown out of the pagoda that it crushed to pieces; the winged lion roared angrily before nimbly moving its massive body in the direction of Xuan Hao.

"Hmph!"

Not planning to just wait around for the winged lion to attack him, Xuan Hao directly used his ice domain to envelop the massive, winged lion charging towards him. Attempting to slow it down, while at the same time using his sword domain to launch a single sword attack towards the winged lion to test out its strength.

Roar?

Letting out a confused roar as it felt the ice domain descend upon it, the winged lion merely shrugged it off as it continued charging forward. Completely unaffected by the ice domain, as it resisted it with its physical body alone!

"Wha-"

Boom!

Letting out a surprised voice upon seeing how easily his ice domain was dealt with, Xuan Hao was once again shocked speechless upon witnessing the winged lion take his sword attack with its physical body. Not even flinching after being hit.

Even if it was merely an attack to test the strength of the winged lion, it was still an attack launched by his sword domain!

For the winged lion to so easily shrug his attack aside without even using its own domain… Xuan Hao suddenly had a feeling that the winged lion would not be so easy to kill…

Roar!

Roaring loudly upon arriving in front of Xuan Hao, the winged lion swung its large paw filled with sharp claws down towards him.

"Hah… This is going to take some time…"

Not affected by the giant paw swinging down towards him, Xuan Hao didn't bother dodging the attack and instead faced it head on as a giant sword materialized next to him before slashing up towards the descending paw of the winged lion.

Chapter 341 - Xuan Hao Vs Winged Lion Demon Beast!

BOOM!

As the paw of the winged lion demon beast clashed with the giant sword of Xuan Hao, a large explosion occurred as both Xuan Hao and the winged lion demon beast were forced back a few steps before coming to a stop.

Roar?

Looking down at its paw with a confused expression on its large face, the winged lion demon beast had a hard time comprehending the fact that Xuan Hao had managed to block its attack. All that it could see was a thin line going from one end of its paw to the other as a thin line of blood was barely visible for a short instant before quickly closing up and returning to its former unharmed state.

However, this was the first time that the winged lion demon beast had ever experienced actually being wounded by someone in a long time! N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapter's release on N0v3l--B1n.

ROAR!

Roaring angrily, the winged lion demon beast didn't attack immediately this time around and instead began more closely observing Xuan Hao, as it clearly understood the fact that he was more dangerous than any of the other demon beasts that it had encountered so far on the Main Peak…

"Hm?"

Having expected for the winged lion to launch another attack, Xuan Hao was caught slightly off guard when it suddenly stopped to examine him for a short moment.

But this did not last for long as the winged lion demon soon came to a decision and launched yet another attack in the direction of Xuan Hao.

The only difference was the fact that instead of just casual swinging its paw down towards him, the winged lion had begun viewing Xuan Hao as a threat. Going all out from the start…

Holding back against Xuan Hao was clearly not something that the winged lion demon beast could afford to do, and it had quickly realized this fact after their first clash!

Whoosh!

The winged lion demon beast was not weak, and as it approached Xuan Hao floating a few hundred meters away from it, a terrifying storm followed. The wind danced around it as its speed increased to a new height. The winged lion demon beast had summoned forth the power of its domain, a wind domain!

Boom!

The devastating power of the wind directly erupted, as it split up into an endless number of small wind blades the moment that the winged lion demon beast reached Xuan Hao. Instantly surrounding him from all directions with no path out.

Roar!

This was not all, as the winged lion demon beast gathered the power of its wind domain into one of its paws before ruthlessly smashing down towards the location currently about to be hit by the terrifying wind blades that it had martialized through its domain.

The two attacks of the winged lion demon beast both came down upon Xuan Hao in quick succession of one another without planning to give him any time to react.

"Hah… A wind domain…?"

Faced with the two attacks of the winged lion demon beast, Xuan Hao did not panic in the slightest as he calmly used his sword domain and newly acquired ice domain together as countless ice swords materialized all around him to block the incoming wind blades.

Zing~

The ice sword of Xuan Hao soon flew out as they clashed with the wind blades of the winged lion demon beast. Blocking them before they managed to get too close.

"Sword Shadow!"

Knowing that the terrifying paw of the winged lion demon beast enhanced by its wind domain was still heading towards him, Xuan Hao did not hesitate in the slightest as he used the first move from the Untold Swords Mantra.

Even if he had not obtained his domain according to the cultivation mantra, the Sword Shadow was still one of the strongest techniques he could use at the moment!

BOOM!

As the paw of the winged lion demon beast clashed with the sword attack, various images flashed behind each of them, a terrifying storm that seemed capable of ripping apart anyone who entered behind the winged lion demon beast and an endless sea of swords as cold as ice behind Xuan Hao.

The sheer strength behind the clash between both of them caused the entire Main Peak to shake violently as even the people outside the Shattered Star Peak could feel a terrifying shaking coming from the Main Peak as the entire Shattered Star Peak seemed to shake for a moment.

"W-what in the world is happening on the Main Peak?!"

"I-is the Main Peak perhaps about to collapse…?"

"H-how can the Main Peak just collapse?"

At the same time Xuan Hao was locked in a fight with the winged lion demon beast, the cultivators who had come to the Shattered Star Peak were all looking up towards the Main Peak filled with fear as they all felt everything around them suddenly begin shaking violently. Almost like and earthquake had suddenly hit the Shattered Star Peaks

Whoosh~

Those watching from the Third Star Peak, could barely see the weird clouds engulfing the Main Peak begin moving around erratically as they did their best to seal of the space inside the Main Peak. If not, everything around the Main Peak would have been affected by the aftershocks, and the people currently watching from the side on the Third Star Peak might have fallen victim to the terrifying shockwaves of the battle between Xuan Hao and the winged lion demon beast!

That was a battle between Domain Lord! Not to mention that both Xuan Hao and the winged lion demon beast both had strength close to the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm. Their powers were incredibly strong and a shockwave from a clash between both of them could easily kill off the Core Formation cultivators currently on the Third Star Peak. Even Zhu Lian who had just reached the Nascent Soul Realm might end up seriously injured!

The only truly unfortunate ones in this circumstance were the inhabitants of the Main Peak that didn't have anything to protect them against the shockwaves from Xuan Hao and the winged lion demon beast's clash. All of them trying their best to hide away underground to escape the terrifying shockwaves of Xuan Hao and the winged lion demon beast.

In this sense, the small blue deer was far ahead of the other demon beast. Already having predicted something like this to happen, it had hidden away in a large cave deep inside the mountain together with the large blue deer demon beast at the Nascent Soul Realm. Both of them perfectly unaffected by Xuan Hao's fight outside of the tremors that the battle sent through the entire mountain.

However, after the feeling the effects of the first clash, the weird clouds directly descended as they sealed off the small opening that Xuan Hao and the winged lion demon beast were fighting in from the rest of the Main Peak.

Allowing the surviving demon beasts to at least stay alive…

Back at the opening in the forest, Xuan Hao, and the winged lion demon beast both separated before observing their opponent.

After the earlier clash, Xuan Hao had clearly felt that the winged lion demon beast was way stronger than he had first expected. From what he had observed during the earlier clash, the winged lion demon beast's physical body should be close to surpassing the Domain Lord Realm!

This alone made things way more difficult, as it was difficult to truly inflict any lasting damage on the winged lion demon beast…

The main reason for this was the fact that its physical body was strong enough to recover almost instantly. Even the Sword Shadow attack from earlier had barely managed to cut off a part of the winged lion demon beast's paw…

"I have to find some other way to deal with-"

ROAR!

Before Xuan Hao could come up with plan to deal with the insane defence of the winged lion demon beast, it charged over towards him full of anger.

Clearly not happy at the fact that Xuan Hao had just cut off part of its paw…

Boom!

Like this, Xuan Hao began fighting with the winged lion demon beast. Neither of them showing any signs of winning as both of them clashed again and again, causing the Main Peak of the Shattered Star Peaks to shake more and more violently as the weird clouds surrounding the Main Peak worked overtime to not let the effects of the battle harm the Main Peak itself.

However, this would not be able to last forever as the weird clouds surrounding the Main Peak slowly began to show signs of weakening.

This was a catastrophic thing for all the different creatures and demon beasts living on the Main Peak. After all, if the weird clouds even weakened by a little bit, the chaotic qi outside would be able to break through the weird clouds and reach the Main Peak!

At that point in time, only Xuan Hao and the winged lion demon beast would be able to survive!

Chapter 342 - Fate Of The Winged Lion Demon Beast!

"Hah…" As Xuan Hao and the winged lion demon beast continued to clash with each other, Xuan Hao slowly felt the exhaustion of fighting a prolonged fight. For him to win, he would need to deal with it quickly and not end up stuck in his current situation.

After all, as things were now, he would never be able to kill the winged lion demon beast even if he continued to fight it for another three days and three nights!

Its physical body was simply too strong, and its qi reserves seemingly had no end to them, Xuan Hao even felt that he would be the one loosing if he tried to fight a prolonged fight with the winged lion demon beast…

With all this in mind, Xuan Hao began to formulate a plan to deal with the winged lion demon beast!

Whoosh!

Boom!

Blocking another attack from the winged lion demon beast that came for him the moment his attention drifted from the battle, Xuan Hao was flung backwards by the force of the attack as he crashed into the ground a few hundred meters away.

Just before hitting the ground, Xuan Hao noticed the weird clouds that had encircled both him and the winged lion demon beast move backwards to avoid him.

"Hm? Maybe I can use the weird clouds to my advantage…"

Looking at the movement of the weird clouds and back at the winged lion demon beast gathering the power of its wind domain in both its large wings!

"It's going to try a quick attack again… I can use this!"

Recognizing the attack that the winged lion demon beast was about to use, Xuan Hao's eyes shone for a brief moment as his mind worked overtime to come up with a plan to deal with the winged lion demon beast.

Whoosh!

Setting his plan into action, Xuan Hao used his greatest speed possible to ascended upwards towards the weird clouds covering the sky above.

ROAR!

Flap~

The winged lion demon beast not far behind as it flapped both of its huge wings before chasing after with a speed far exceeding that of Xuan Hao, it was after all a demon beast with wings! Even Xuan Hao could not compare to it when it came to flying speed….

Swish~

Reaching the weird clouds sealing off the Main Peak from the outside world, Xuan Hao went through it like he had done in the past. Directly appearing in the air above the Main Peak itself.

"Ah!" Letting out a low scream of pain as the chaotic qi began rapidly invading his body like it had done in the past on his way up the Main Peak, Xuan Hao quickly expelled the chaotic qi that managed to enter his body with the combined strength of his sword domain and ice domain.

However, just remaining floating in the air above the Main Peak was an enormous drain on his strength.

Even with his current strength, Xuan Hao did not think he could last more than an hour or two fighting in his current condition. Having to keep the chaotic qi at bay was simply too draining on both his domains...

Whoosh!

Watching as the winged lion demon beast followed closely after him through the weird clouds before coming to a stop as it tried to keep the chaotic qi out of its body.

Roar!

The winged lion demon beast roared angrily towards Xuan Hao before flapping its wings and diving down towards the weird clouds-

Bang~

Only to collide with them and bounce back a few meters…

The weird clouds had clearly realized that the winged lion demon beast and Xuan Hao were a threat and didn't plan to let them inside again in case they caused even more damage than they already had…

"How interesting… It does indeed have some kind of awareness…"

Smiling happily? upon seeing the winged lion demon beast being shut out from what was most likely its home, Xuan Hao didn't wait around as his ice domain fully erupted around him before descending down on the winged lion demon beast!

ROAR!

Feeling its movements slow down as it had to deal with both the ice domain of Xuan Hao and the chaotic qi trying to enter its body and ravage its meridians and dantian, the winged lion demon beast became enraged as its wind domain erupted violently. Forming a small-scale hurricane with itself at the centre.

"Looks like it is indeed harder for the winged lion to deal with the chaotic qi…" Looking at how much the winged lion demon beast was struggling with keeping the chaotic qi out of its body, Xuan Hao could not help feeling thankful that his idea had been correct.

Earlier, his plan had been to lure the winged lion demon beast out of the Main Peak and use the chaotic qi to weaken the winged lion. Thinking that it would have to deal with way more chaotic qi trying to invade its body compared to him. Reason being that its body was many times larger than his own.

Seeing this work and how the winged lion demon beast was now trying to leave the space above the Main peak, Xuan Hao had no plan to let it escape so easily! This might be his only chance to kill the winged lion demon beast now that it had weakened due to the chaotic qi constantly trying to invade its body!

Whoosh~

Thinking about this, Xuan Hao stopped using his ice domain to slow down the movement of the winged lion demon beast after seeing its futile efforts to go through the weird clouds.

Instead switching to using his ice domain to keep the chaotic qi at bay for the moment, while using his sword domain to fight the winged demon beast!

This was by far the largest advantage Xuan Hao had in his fight against the winged demon beast in the air above the Main Peak.

He could dedicate one of his domains to keeping the chaotic qi at bay and the other to fighting, while the winged lion demon beast was forced to use its wind domain both to fight and keep the chaotic qi from invading its body!

Whoosh~

"Haha, think I will let you leave so easily?"

Seeing the winged lion demon beast give up on reaching the Main Peak through the weird clouds and instead try to escape down towards the ground where the chaotic qi was not present, Xuan Hao laughed disdainfully.

The winged lion demon beast clearly did not think he could stop it!

Swish!

Before the winged lion demon beast managed to even move a few meters away from its current location, a sea of pure silver swords manifested all around it as Xuan Hao's sword domain engulfed the winged lion demon beast and the hurricane formed by its wind domain.

BOOM!

The two domains violently clashed against each other with neither letting the other gain any advantage on the other… But this was more than enough for Xuan Hao as he managed to keep the winged lion demon beast from escaping.

Roar!

The winged lion demon beast also realized what was happening as it began panicking. Violently trying its best to break free from Xuan Hao's sword domain to no avail.

The moment it tried to leave, it would leave an opening for Xuan Hao to attack through and even with its strong physical body, a small wound would allow the chaotic qi to easily enter its body and destroy it from the inside!

The winged lion demon beast already realized its own helpless situation as it grew more and more desperate with each passing moment. Feeling its strength slowly weakening due to Xuan Hao's sword domain and the chaotic qi both trying to break through its wind domain at the same time.

Time slowly passed and after half an hour of fighting with the wind domain of the winged lion demon beast, Xuan Hao felt a change occur.

Suddenly feeling a change in the winged lion demon beast, Xuan Hao prepared himself for a possible last-ditch effort in the form of an all our attack from the winged lion demon beast.

"Hm?"

The winged lion demon beast suddenly came to a complete stop as it spat out a drop of pure red blood towards Xuan Hao.

"You want to establish a blood pact…?"

Looking at the drop of pure red blood that came to a stop floating a few centimeters in front of him, Xuan Hao immediately understood the intentions of the winged lion demon beast.

It didn't want to die, so it hoped that Xuan Hao would establish a blood pact with it and allow it to live…

A blood pact was something Xuan Hao learned about when looking into the Beast Tamers of the Flying Sword Sect.

From what he knew, the blood pact was a contract established between a demon beast and a human.

The contract itself was a master-servant kind of contract where the demon beast gave up a part of its essence blood infused with a part of its soul.

Doing something like this was out of the ordinary and Xuan Hao had never heard about anyone in the Flying Sword Sect establishing this sort of contract before, though he felt like there was some other reason for that… N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapter's release on N0v3l--B1n.

With the essence blood, Xuan Hao could easily kill the winged lion demon beast by destroying the soul infused essence blood!

The winged lion demon beast had clearly not seen a way out of its current situation and hoped that it would at least gain a chance to live if it gave up its essence blood and followed Xuan Hao…

Given that Xuan Hao had already displayed his strength and was not someone weak, the winged lion demon beast was not too sad about this fate. After all, it would rather follow some strong who beat it over someone weak!

"I accept!"

Storing away the soul infused essence blood of the winged lion demon beast, Xuan Hao saw no reason to refuse gaining such a strong demon beast.

With it, Xuan Hao could more easily leave the Flying Sword Sect for the alchemy competition in the future.

Leaving behind the winged lion demon beast to defend the sect would be more than enough to cause even Domain Lords in the later stages to think twice before doing anything to the Flying Sword Sect!

Whoosh!

Having finished the fight, Xuan Hao was not too hurried in checking out his quest and instead made his way back through the weird clouds back down to the Main Peak.

After he accepted the soul infused blood essence of the winged lion, they suddenly allowed both of them to enter again. Almost like the gathering of weird clouds were aware of what was happening between both of them… The clouds circling the Main Peak were most definitely weird…

Thinking this, Xuan Hao and the winged lion demon beast both began recovering from their fight in the now devastated opening in the lush forest of the Main Peak.

Chapter 343 - Pure Heart Island

Looking out over the side of the small boat at the water of the Pure Heart Lake, Qing Yi could not help but feel how small she was. The sheer size of the Pure Heart Lake was simply unfathomable to her in its entirety and that was only looking on the surface of the lake itself.

Below the surface, there would surely be a myriad of hidden treasures and ancient relics of the past that had been lost over the countless years since the Pure Heart Lake had come into existence. Not to mention the demon beasts that lived in the waters of the Pure Heart Lake…

"The Pure Heart Lake truly is massive… I wonder how big the ocean is compared to this…"

Muttering this to herself, Qing Yi could simply not begin to imagine the ocean that supposedly surrounded the entire Ewaria Continent.

Just thinking about the ocean and what kind of terrifying demon beat and ancient artifacts that might be hidden beneath the surface made Qing Yi both excited and terrified thinking about it at the same time.

But then again, not many people on the Ewaria Continent had seen the ocean before. Simply due to the fact that the Ewaria Continent was way too big and even someone in the Nascent Soul Realm would not dare venture out of the region they were born in. Normally ranging from a few adjacent kingdoms to a few dozen kingdoms.

Take the Flying Sword Sect's current location as an example, if you wanted to go from the Flying Sword Sect to the ocean, you would have to cross through at least a few hundred different kingdoms and at the same time through different empires!

The task itself was dangerous beyond belief and one could easily lose their life, that is of course also not considering the years it would take to make the trip in the first place…

In the end. Only someone at the Domain Lord Realm would even think about going on such a long journey in the first place to see the ocean and most of those Domain Lords would be those who comprehended a water domain looking for enlightenment through observing the huge body of water that is the ocean!

"Qing Yi, we are almost there!"

Lost in her own thoughts as she looked out over the railing of the ship, Chu Yang suddenly walked up and nudged her shoulder gently before informing her.

"Hm?! That is the Pure Heart Island…?"

Blinking her pair of bright eyes for a short moment, Qing Yi looked around herself in a slightly bewildered manner before turning around to look at the large island that had suddenly appeared in front of the ship at some point in time.

"Yes! We will be getting off soon, so I thought we should group up before making our way onto the Pure Heart Island." Nodding his head to her question, Chu Yang decided not to comment on Qing Yi's bewildered expression, as she seemed like someone who had just woken up without knowing where they were.

"I see… Then let's get Huang Yongyu!"

Like this, Qing Yi and Chu Yang quickly made their way to the inner part of the ship where Huang Yongyu was happily chatting with some of the other people on their way to the Pure Heart Island.

"We're about to reach the Pure Heart Island!"

Just as Chu Yang was about to go and inform Huang Yongyu, an old man came into the inner part of the ship and informed the people inside about the fact that they would soon reach the Pure Heart Island.

Making it easy for Qing Yi and Chu Yang to go over and pick up Huang Yongyu. Now that the people he had been chatting with leaving him behind to prepare themselves to leave the ship.

Arriving on the Pure Heart Island, Qing Yi and Chu Yang were both amazed by the unique flora of the island. Weird yet beautiful flowering trees covered in beautiful blue flowers and other mostly blue plants covering most of the island that they could see.

After taking in the beautiful environment of the Pure Heart Island, Qing Yi and Chu Yang soon made their way over towards a small building located close to the shore of the island under the lead of Huang Yongyu, who seemed way more knowledgeable about how things worked on Pure Heart Island.

Not that surprising given that the Pure Heart Lake and island were under his sect's control, though their enemies seemed to have mostly taken control of it at this point in time…

"Are you here to participate in the Ghost Howl Sect's expedition towards the centre of the Pure Heart Island?"

The moment the three of them entered, a young man came up and asked in a curious voice.

"Ghost Howl Sect's expedition? I didn't hear anything about this, we are merely here to try our luck on getting some Pure Heart Spirit Grass… Could you perhaps explain a bit more about this expedition?"

Reacting to the young man mentioning the Ghost Howl Sect when he just impersonated as a young master from the sect a short moment ago, Chu Yang could not help asking about more information. N0v3lRealm was the platform where this chapter was initially revealed on N0v3l.B1n.

After all, the last thing he wanted was for the Ghost Howl Sect to figure out that he had impersonated as a young master from their sect…

"Sure… The Ghost Howl Sect has put together a small force and plan to enter the centre region of the Pure Heart Lake to explore and gather some of the natural resources growing on the Pure Heart Island. However, this is not the truth.

In truth, the Ghost Howl Sect is actually using the expedition as real combat training for their disciples and at the same time allowing younger wandering cultivators an opportunity to join! From what I know, they are even planning to recruit the best preforming wandering cultivators into their sect as disciples!"

Saying this, the young man looked extremely excited.

More often than not, young wandering cultivator didn't want to become wandering cultivators and actually only ended up like that due to them either failing to enter a sect or some other circumstances that prevented them from joining a sect, kingdom or other power that taught cultivation.

Rarely did young people want to become wandering cultivators by themselves. Not having any guidance from elders as they took their first and, in most circumstances, flawed steps on the path of cultivation.

"Do you want to join the expedition with me? It will be way easier for you to get your hands on Pure Heart Spirit Grass as well! Don't forget that most of the demon beasts found around Pure Heart Spirit Grass are at the Foundation Establishment Realm!"

Listening to what the young man said, Chu Yang, Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu smiled wryly. The young man in front of them was clearly only at the Qi Condensation Realm and was likely thinking that they were like him.

Wandering cultivators who came to look for an opportunity on the Pure Heart Island.

"We will think about it before coming to a decision… Anyways, thanks for the information!"

Not outright refusing the young wandering cultivator, Chu Yang kindly replied to him.

"Sure, just remember that the Ghost Howl Sect's expedition will set off tomorrow at dawn!"

Not seeing anything wrong with what Chu Yang said, the young man happily nodded his head in approval before heading over towards a small group of people gathered together at a nearby table chatting together. Most likely other wandering cultivators also looking to join the expedition of the Ghost Howl Sect tomorrow.

"Hah… Didn't expect the Ghost Howl Sect to be the one currently at the Pure Heart Island…"

Watching as the young man left, Huang Yongyu suddenly muttered to himself with a troubled expression on his face.

Not understanding why Huang Yongyu suddenly appeared so troubled over the mention of the Ghost Howl Sect, Chu Yang and Qing Yi both grew curious about what was so troubling about the Ghost Howl Sect.

"Is there a problem with the Ghost Howl Sect? I don't think they will know about what happened earlier and it should also be easier for us to find Pure Heart Spirit Grass if we follow them…"

"No! You might not know this, but the Ghost Howl Sect is one of the main sects in the coalition against my River Sect and they are by no means good and could be described as a demonic sect! The only thing missing is them practicing demonic techniques…

And now, this sect is planning an expedition to the centre of the Pure Heart Island. Even allowing young wandering cultivators to join them with the promise of a chance to maybe join the sect…? No matter how I look at this, there is something wrong with this so-called expedition!"

Listening to what Chu Yang said, Huang Yongyu proceeded to voice his doubts about the expedition. Making sure not to talk too loudly in case anyone other than Chu Yang and Qing Yi heard him.

"Can't we just avoid joining the expedition? Do remember that we are not here to uncover what the Ghost Howl Sect are up to, we are just here to get some Pure Heart Spirit Grass for a sect mission…" Qing Yi who remained silent when both Chu Yang and Huang Yongyu were speaking suddenly asked the two of them.

"Indeed, we can just ignore the Ghost Howl Sect… Even if it's slower, at least it will be safe."

"I agree as well, but I still have a feeling something dangerous is going to happen, we should strive to finish gathering the Pure Heart Spirit Grass you two need before leaving."

Chu Yang and Huang Yongyu both agreed with what Qing Yi said, they had indeed only come for the Pure heart Spirit Grass, there was no need for them to involve themselves with what the Ghost Howl Sect was up to and pointlessly land themselves in a dangerous situation…

Chapter 344 - Never Pretend To Be A Young Master!

"This should be all we need for finding the Pure Heart Spirit Grass!" Coming out of the building, Huang Yongyu smiled happily as he held a map he had just bought.

"So, the reason we went into the building was to get this map?" Tilting her head to the side as she asked this, Qing Yi did not understand why Huang Yongyu was so excited about buying a map.

"Yes! It gets updated once a month and the locations of the stronger demon beasts on Pure Heart Island are noted down on it. The location where you are likely to find Pure Heart Spirit Grass and other unique spirit herbs from Pure Heart Island are also noted down, so it should be easy for us to find the Pure Heart Spirit Grass before leaving!"

Nodding his head excitedly as he began explaining the use of the map to Qing Yi and Chu Yang, both of them grew more interested as they listened to his explanation, both of them leaning closer to Huang Yongyu to get a glimpse of the map itself.

The map was extremely colourful and covered the entire island. Having different regions of the island coloured differently depending on the danger. Going from the most harmless areas marked for someone in the Qi Condensation Realm, to the most dangerous marked for the Core Formation Realm at the centre of the island.

Looking over the map, both Qing Yi and Chu Yang quickly spotted a small symbol that represented the Pure Heart Spirit Grass.

Scanning over the map in Huang Yongyu's hands, both of them quickly realized that Pure Heart Spirit Grass could be found in all the different regions. Growing more common the closer to the centre of the island one went…

"Should we start over there? It seems like there are quite a lot of Pure Heart Spirit Grass in that area and it's not too dangerous according to the map."

Spotting a small region not far from where they were filled with Pure Heart Spirit Grass, Qing Yi quickly pointed it out to Chu Yang and Huang Yongyu.

"Hm… It looks like it's danger level is Foundation Establishment but given how far from the centre of the island it is, it should be no problem for us to deal with the demon beasts there! To be honest, I don't even think we will encounter any demon beast above the Third Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm…"

Reluctantly agreeing with Qing Yi, Chu Yang felt a little disappoint upon thinking about the fact that he would not be able to have a proper fight with any of the demon beasts there.

After his fight with the bandit leader a few days ago, Chu Yang had grown to enjoy the thrill of battle and wanted to experience a fight where he didn't just end up casually swinging his spear to kill mindless demon beasts…

"…"

Huang Yongyu did not say anything and just silently agreed.

In the first place, it was not really his place to refuse Qing Yi even if he wanted to go to an even less dangerous area closer to the Qi Condensation danger level regions of the Pure Heart Island.

However, the positive about going to the location Qing Yi had pointed out, was the fact that they would be able to gather Pure Heart Spirit Grass faster than if they went to one of the safer regions… Huang Yongyu had also seen how strong both Qing Yi and Chu Yang were back when they dealt with the bandits, so he didn't worry too much about them ending up in a situation that they couldn't get out of.

"If everyone agrees, then let's get going!" The inaugural upload of this chapter took place via N0v3l-B1n.

Seeing both Huang Yongyu and Chu Yang agree with her, Qing Yi happily informed both of them before taking the map away from Huang Yongyu as she began moving in the direction of the region that they had agreed to go to gather Pure Heart Spirit Grass.

Whoosh~

Huang Yongyu and Chu Yang quickly followed after Qing Yi as the group of three made their way away from the shore of the Pure Heart Island.

At the same time that Chu Yang, Qing Yi, and Huang Yongyu were making their way to gather Pure Heart Spirit Grass, a ship many times larger than the one they had used slowly made its way towards the Pure Heart Island.

"Someone pretended to be disciples of our sect?! Tell me, have you caught them yet!?"

Crash!

A large crashing sound echoed out through a large room located at the centre of the ship as a handsome young man angrily threw a cup in his hand towards a person kneeling down in front of him full of fear.

"Y-young master, t-they were not caught ye-"

Bang!

Before the person kneeling down could finish speaking, the handsome young man sitting in the centre of the room flipped the table in front of him as it flew through the air before hitting the man kneeling down only a few meters away from him.

"And…?"

Calming down after flipping the table on the unfortunate person who had come to report this to him, the handsome young man asked in a less agitated tone compared to before.

"…"

"Young master… I think he fainted…"

Not hearing any answer from the person laying beneath the table, the handsome young man was just about to find something different to throw when an elderly man appeared from the shadows and informed him.

"I see… Elder, do you perhaps know about this situation?" Nodding his head as he suddenly became more obedient upon seeing the old man, the young master asked the elderly man about the situation that had happened in Pure heart City in a respectful voice. Not daring to act as arrogantly as before.

"Haha, I indeed heard about it. Apparently, they didn't only pretend to be disciples of our sect to enter the Pure Heart City, but one of them even pretended to be the young master of our sect! Haha, I truly admire their courage!"

Hearing the elderly man laughing menacingly beside him, the handsome young man shivered as he felt the clear killing intent behind the laughter.

"Wait! Someone pretend to be ME!?"

Just now realizing what the elderly man had said, the handsome young man screamed loudly as an uncontrollable anger began to overtake him.

Not only did someone pretend to be disciples of HIS sect, but one of them was even bold enough to pretend to be HIM!

Chapter 345 - Searching For Pure Heart Spirit Grass

Having left the shore of the Pure Heart Island, the group of three soon arrived at the region Qing Yi had found on the map.

The place itself was located in a small forest made out of tall trees with glistering blue bark covering them, with close to no branches present before reaching the crown of the trees a few dozen meters in the air.

The crown of the blue trees was weirdly enough not following the colour of the rest of the tree. Instead, being covered in bright flowers of all sorts of colours.

"What a weird tree…" Muttering this to himself, Chu Yang could not help looking at the weird trees that had formed a small forest by themselves in front of him.

"Indeed, weird trees… They are known as rainbow crown trees due to… Well, their crown being covered in flowers in all the colours of the rainbow. Other than that, they also grew a rare spiritual fruit called the Rainbow Crown Fruit! It's a well-known spiritual fruit from the Pure Heart Island. Sadly, its lifespan after being plucked is no more than a few days, so it's not often found in places too far from the Pure Heart Lake…"

Explaining this as he looked up at the blue tree with their rainbow-coloured crowns, Huang Yongyu's explanation caused Chu Yang to look up towards the beautifully coloured crowns of the rainbow crown trees. Hoping to spot one of the so-called Rainbow Crown Fruits Huang Yongyu mentioned.

Such a spiritual fruit was bound to be delicious…

"We should try and see if we can find any Rainbow Crown Fruits! I really wonder what they will taste like… What do you thi-"

"Remember the reason why we are here in the first place and don't forget that there are also demon beasts in here! Let's start searching for them by splitting up, so we can cover a larger area!"

Watching Huang Yongyu and Chu Yang as they talked about the weirdly coloured trees, Qing Yi interrupted Chu Yang as he looked like he was about to give up their sect mission to search for spiritual fruits. Reminding both him and Huang Yongyu about their reason for coming to the small forest in the first place before she began searching for the Pure Heart Spirit Grass by herself.

"…" The original appearance of this chapter can be found at Ñøvlß1n.

Chu Yang, who was about to ask Qing Yi about searching for the Rainbow Crown Fruits was both rendered speechless by what Qing Yi said. Unable to argue with what she said.

Indeed, they had only come to the Pure Heart Island for the Pure Heart Spirit Grass…

Not finding any way to disagree with what Qing Yi said, Chu Yang was forced to put aside his thoughts of tasting the Rainbow Crown Fruit to some other time…

"I will search over here!"

Huang Yongyu was not against Qing Yi's suggestion in the slightest and happily began searching for the Pure Heart Spirit Grass.

No matter what, to avoid the Ghost Howl Sect, the best way would be for them to leave before they arrived and started up their expedition!

With this in mind, Huang Yongyu put forth all his effort and knowledge about the Pure Heart Island gained through growing up in the River Sect to use in searching for the Pure Heart Spirit Grass.

"The Pure Heart Spirit Grass is most often found being guarded by demon beasts, so the easiest way to find Pure Heart Spirit Grass, would be to find the demon beasts guarding them!" Muttering this to himself as a smile appeared on his face, Huang Yongyu switched from searching for Pure Heart Spirit Grass. Instead searching for any demon beasts that might live inside the rainbow crown tree forest.

"A demon beast… Now where is the Pure Heart Spirit Grass?" Looking down from a small hill he found himself on top of after tracking down a giant blue spider demon beast, Huang Yongyu quickly began to scan the surroundings around the blue spider demon beast

"Pure Heart Spirit Grass!"

Searching for the Pure Heart Spirit Grass, Huang Yongyu was the first among the three to finally find the first Pure Heart Spirit Grass neatly hidden underneath the giant body of the blue spider demon beast.

"Third Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm… I will have to get Chu Yang or Qing Yi to help me…" Determining the cultivation realm of the blue spider demon beast, Huang Yongyu quickly concluded that he would have to get Chu Yang or Qing Yi's help before dealing with the blue spider demon beast.

No matter what, he had no way to deal with the demon beast by himself as it was at the Third Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm. Not really something he would be able to deal with given his current cultivation realm at the First Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm… That is not to mention the fact that he had nowhere near enough experience to deal with a demon beast two minor realms above himself!

Now I just have to leave without getting spotted-

Crack~

As Huang Yongyu came to a decision and took a step backwards, a brightly coloured blue branch had somehow found its way to the top of the small hill just behind him. Laying in the perfect spot for him to step on by accident. Even with no rainbow crown trees on the hill itself…

"…"

Looking down on the branch he had stepped on, Huang Yongyu felt like crying at the spot. Especially so when he realized that there was only that one branch on top of the small hill!

Even worse, the demon beast in question had clearly heard the sound of the branch snapping, causing it to slowly make its way over towards his current location.

Whoosh!

Not daring to stay around waiting for the demon beast in the shape of a giant blue spider to reach him, Huang Yongyu didn't bother hiding from it any longer.

Rushing out from his current position, Huang Yongyu used all his speed to run away as he could. Making his way over in the direction that he, Qing Yi and Chu Yang had planned to meet up in after an hour of searching.

Pulling out his communication talisman along the way and contacting both Qing Yi and Chu Yang about his current situation. Hoping both of them could come and help him before he ended up at a certain blue spider's dinner plate…

Swish~

Along with Huang Yongyu fully revealing himself, the blue spider demon beast's eyes began shinning at the sight of what it believed to be a new meal. Instantly increasing its speed as it skittered across the forest floor effortlessly towards the now fleeing Huang Yongyu!

Chapter 346 - Huang Yongyu's Escape...

Running through the rainbow crown tree forest with a giant blue spider following closely behind him, Huang Yongyu didn't think anything could get worse as he unknowingly stumbled upon what could only be described as a den of blue spider demon beasts. Having gathered together to have a feast of some sort.

"…"

Freezing for a short moment as he looked at the dozen or so blue spider demon beasts at the Foundation Establishment all around him, Huang Yongyu did not want to wait for them to wake up again. Running even faster than before as he dashed past one of the blue spiders having frozen up just like him.

The den of blue spider demon beasts all looked around themselves with a confused expression plastered all over their faces.

It was only when the blue spider demon beast already chasing after Huang Yongyu arrived that the other blue spiders woke up and looked towards it for answers.

The blue spider produced a vibration, which hit the surrounding dried leaves cover the ground, causing them to vibrate.

Purr purr~

The vibrating leaves on the ground produced a low 'purring' sound audible for anyone walking past to hear, and that sound travelled through the dried leaves on the ground to the other blue spider demon beasts standing around

The leaves themselves served as a sort of medium through which the blue spiders communicated with each other. Instead of using an organ to produce a sound, the blue spider demon beasts would instead vibrate inanimate objects around them to communicate with each other.

Purr purr~

The other blue spider seemed to have gotten the message as one of them answered back the blue spider demon beast that had been chasing after Huang Yongyu.

Whoosh~

And just like that, Huang Yongyu now had over a dozen blue spiders at the Foundation Establishment Realm chasing after him instead of just a single one…

"Haha, to think Huang Yongyu ended up in such a situation, I wonder if he will be able to get here before the spider catches up with him, hehe…" Laughing a bit to himself when he heard about Huang Yongyu being chased by a spider at the Third Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm, Chu Yang did not feel too worried. N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapter's release on N0v3l--B1n.

After all, Huang Yongyu was someone in the Foundation Establishment Realm as well and he should at the very least be able to stay alive. Even if the blue spider caught up with him!

"I really hate spiders…" Standing just beside Chu Yang, Qing Yi shivered a bit at the thought of the giant blue spider chasing after Huang Yongyu.

"Junior brother Chu Yang, can you deal with the spider, I'm not really too good with those sorts of things…"

Saying this, Qing Yi looked pleadingly at Chu Yang. Clearly not too happy about the idea of having to deal with any creepy crawlers…

"No problem, it's only a single spider at the Third Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm. Nothing too difficult!"

Rolling his eyes upon seeing the slightly scared look on Qing Yi's face, Chu Yang accepted her request without any problem.

In the first place, he at the very least managed to find out that his senior sister was not good with spiders… Maybe he could use that in the future…

Rustle~

"RUN!"

Just as Chu Yang had agreed to deal with the spider, Huang Yongyu burst out through a nearby bush as he screamed at them before running past them without slowing down in the slightest.

""Hm?""

Both Chu Yang and Qing Yi blinked their eyes in confusion upon seeing this. Not understanding why they needed to run.

Rustle~

It was only a short moment later Chu Yang and Qing Yi understood the reason why Huang Yongyu had told them to run as a massive number of blue spiders suddenly appeared from the same direction as Huang Yongyu.

"Eeeek!"

To say both of them were shocked would be an understatement, as Qing Yi screamed fearfully at the giant blue spider demon beasts making their way over in her and Chu Yang's direction before running after Huang Yongyu who was about to disappear in the distance.

"Wha-?!"

Chu Yang was equally speechless upon seeing the massive number of spider as he soon caught up with the escaping Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu.

"What in the world happened? How come there are so many spiders?! Didn't you say it was just one at the Third Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm?!"

Calling out to Huang Yongyu, Chu Yang didn't understand how a single blue spider at the Foundation Establishment Realm had suddenly transformed into at least a hundred blue spider demon beasts at the Foundation Establishment Realm!

And even worse, Chu Yang could clearly feel the aura of at least three Core Formation Realm demon beasts appear in the back of the horde of blue spider demon beasts!

How in the world did Huang Yongyu manage to attract the attention of so many blue spider demon beasts? Did he perhaps steal the treasure of some underground blue spider kingdom?

"It's not what you think! I merely stumbled upon a den of a dozen or so blue spiders while running and then…"

Listening to Huang Yongyu retell his story about how he had ended up offending over a hundred blue spiders at the Foundation Establishment Realm along with at least three at the Core Formation Realm, both Chu Yang and Qing Yi suddenly felt like just throwing him to blue spiders and escape by themselves.

In essence, Huang Yongyu's story boiled down to a simple point of him stumbling into one nest of blue spiders after the other.

How had he ended up offending three Core Formation Realm blue spiders? Well… Along the way, Huang Yongyu had suddenly found himself running through an underground tunnel into a large nest of blue spiders… Inside that nest…

"… I accidently stepped on this little one and all the blue spiders suddenly became even more determined to chase after me!"

Finishing his story, Huang Yongyu pulled out the corpse of a small blue spider the size of a small puppy with a small pink crown birthmark on its forehead.

Worst of all, in the middle part of its body, a clear boot mark could be seen where Huang Yongyu had stepped on the puppy sized blue spider and caused its early demise…

""…""

Why do you even carry that with you…?

Not even bother to ask this question, both Qing Yi and Chu Yang looked helplessly at each other at the same time, both understanding the reason why so many blue spiders were chasing after Huang Yongyu.

"Should we just throw him to the spiders?" Qing Yi suggested with an expressionless look on her face.

"Please don't joke like that! I swear it was an accident!"

"Who said I was joking…?"

"…"

Feeling himself shiver when he was met with the unfamiliar expressionless look of Qing Yi, Huang Yongyu had no idea what to say, he clearly knew that the reason for their current situation was all his fault and while Chu Yang and Qing Yi were strong, there was no way for them to deal with the blue spiders growing closer to them with each passing second.

"Stop it, Qing Yi, we shouldn't just go about throwing someone to the spiders… Even if they deserve it… There is a large group up there, let's see if they can help us!" Stopping Qing Yi before she did something to Huang Yongyu, Chu Yang calmed down the situation as he pointed towards a large group of people barely visible in the distance.

"That is… The Ghost Howl Sect!? Weren't they supposed to start their expedition tomorrow at dawn?! Why are they suddenly out here now!?" Seeing the emblem on the people moving at the front were wearing, Huang Yongyu could not help exclaiming in a surprised voice.

"The Ghost Howl Sect… Maybe we can use this, Huang Yongyu, hand over that corpse to me for a moment!"

"Sure?"

Not understanding what Chu Yang wanted to do, Huang Yongyu obediently handed the corpse of the small blue spider over to Chu Yang with a confused look on his face.

"Use you fastest speed possible! We are running straight past the Ghost Howl Sect's people!" Informing Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu, Chu Yang soon ran ahead of both of them as he appeared only a few hundred meters away from the large group of people.

Whoosh~

Under the surprised looks from the people of the Ghost Howl Sect, Chu Yang threw the corpse of the small puppy sized blue spider to a handsome young man sitting at a majestic chair being carried by a group of people located in the front of the expedition force of the Ghost Howl Sect before disappearing into the forest.

""…""

Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu didn't say anything as they both followed closely behind Chu Yang before any of the people from the Ghost Howl Sect managed to react.

Chapter 347 - Young Master Of The Ghost Howl Sect!

A little earlier, a large ship arrived at the shore of the Pure Heart Island as a handsome young man slowly appeared from the interior of the ship with an old man following closely behind him.

"So, this is the Pure Heart Island? It does indeed live up to its name… Even if it's my first time here, I can still easily see why it's known for its unique beauty! What a pity such a place falls under the control of the River Sect…"

Saying this as he narrowed his eyes dangerously upon reaching the last part, the handsome young man turned around and motioned for a few nearby people to come over.

"Is there anything we can help with, young master…?" Nervously arriving before the handsome young man, one of the group of people kneeled down submissively before one of them stepped forward and asked for instructions.

"Go and inform our people that we will be leaving for the centre of the Pure Heart Island immediately! No need to wait for tomorrow now that I'm already here!"

Waving his hands around as he ordered the group of people, the handsome young man soon began talking chatting with the elderly man standing beside him about their upcoming journey to the centre of the Pure Heart Island. The original appearance of this chapter can be found at Ñøvlß1n.

"…"

The people who had just been ordered to go out and inform the young wandering cultivators about their early departure. Glanced around at each other for a short moment before disappearing in the direction of the small building Chu Yang, Qing Yi and Huang Yongyu had visited to get a map of the island just a few minutes ago.

Quickly, a few minutes passed since the Ghost Howl Sect had arrived at the Pure Heart Island, and by this point in time a large expedition force had already formed with the handsome young master from the Ghost Howl Sect at the front.

The wandering cultivators who had come to join were confused about why the time had changed all of a sudden but didn't dare complain about it as they all wanted to be chosen to enter the Ghost Howl Sect as disciples.

The only ones who would complain about the expedition being moved forward among themselves, were those who had gone out to hunt for demon beasts or search for spiritual herbs just before the Ghost Howl Sect's young master arrived…

"Move out!"

Seeing that everyone from his sect along with a group of young wandering cultivators gathered, the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect gave the command to move out towards the centre of the Pure Heart Island.

"Hmph!"

Frowning to himself as he looked down at the large group of people, the handsome young master of the Ghost Howl Sect felt himself grow a bit nervous.

The true purpose of the expedition towards the centre of the Pure Heart Island was something only he and the elder beside him knew about and both of them knew very well how dangerous it would be for them…

But if they managed to succeed, they might be able to finally get rid of the River Sect for good!

No more need for them to station most of their Experts in front of the River Sect, they would be able to get rid of the River Sect and if everything went according to his father's plan. The Flying Sword Sect would not be able to do anything about it!

Noticing his young master growing anxious as he was lost in thought, the elder quickly reassured him that nothing would happen. "Young master, trust in your father's plan! Nothing will happen and we even brought along so many experts at the Core Formation Realm! Don't forget I'm also around to keep you safe in case anything happens!"

"Hah… You are right elder… I'm simply worrying for nothing! There is no way my father would send me here if he didn't already think it would be safe for me!" Nodding his head as he relaxed a bit upon listening to the old elder, the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect sat up straight in the chair he was sitting on as he was carried by a group of wandering cultivators at the front of the expedition.

"Hm? Someone is approaching?"

As the expedition force were making their way through a rainbow crown tree forest located on their path towards the centre of the Pure Heart Island, a young man suddenly came sprang out from the thick foliage of the forest from the side of the path they were using.

Two others followed closely behind him, one male and another female as the group of three directly ran past the front of the expedition force.

Whoosh~

Just as the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect was about to order someone to stop the three people, the male in the front suddenly threw something over in his direction before disappearing back into the forest on the other side of the path they were using.

"Protect the young master!"

"My life for the young master!"

"Young master!"

The moment the people in the expedition force realized something had been thrown towards the young master, at least a dozen people nearby rushed over as if they wanted to give their lives to keep the young master safe.

"All of you, get back! It's just a small blue spider corpse!"

Having reacted way faster than any of the other people present, the old man beside the young master had already realized that the thing being thrown towards them was not anything dangerous and had already caught the corpse of the small blue spider before it could reach the young master.

"Elder! How dare they throw a corpse; can I ask you to catch them for me to deal with personally!?"

Caught off-guard by someone suddenly throwing a corpse at him, the young master barely held back his anger as he looked over at the elder who had caught the corpse of the small blue spider full of anger with nowhere to vent it.

"Sure, I will be back in a short moment-"

Just as the old elder nodded his head to take off in the direction that the three troublemakers at the Foundation Establishment Realm ran, he suddenly felt several terrifying auras similar to his own approaching from the direction that the three troublemakers had just appeared from.

"Prepare for battle!"

Without explaining anything to his young master, the elder screamed loudly so every could hear him as a blue spider suddenly appeared from the thick foliage of the rainbow crown tree forest to their left.

Swish~

This was not the only one, as dozens of giant blue spiders suddenly began appearing from the forest before angrily charging towards the expedition force of the Ghost Howl Sect.

Bang!

To make things even worse, three enormous blue spiders each over three meters tall in height along with their massive bodies suddenly came rushing out of the forest. The biggest one easily reaching a height of five meters!

Each of them heading in the direction of the small blue spider corpse currently in the hand of the elder beside the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect!

"The corpse! How dare they plot against the Ghost Howl Sect!"

Having already realized what had happened, the old elder flared up in anger. At the moment, he wanted nothing more than to tear apart the three troublemakers from earlier.

Bang!

Sadly, he couldn't chase after the three troublemakers before dealing with the blue spiders first!

Whoosh!

Several auras at the Core Formation Realm also appeared on the side of the Ghost Howl Sect, as several figures charged out from the expedition force to meet the blue spiders head on.

"I will deal with the big one! You four deal with the two others! Another two, stay behind to keep the young master safe! The rest deal with the normal blue spiders!

Charging out together with the other Core Formation Realm cultivators that had come to participate in the expedition. The old elder quickly gave down a set of orders before he began facing off against the biggest and strongest among the Core Formation Realm blue spiders.

Boom!

As the battle began, the surrounding forest quickly turned into a battleground as the blue spiders and humans fought each other to the death.

Even when they were clearly weaker than the humans, the blue spiders didn't give up as they fought like crazy until they died.

"Looks like we got away safely… We really need to leave the Pure Heart Island as quickly as possible now! We can't risk the Ghost Howl Sect blocking the path back!"

Looking back towards the direction they had just come from, as sounds of battle reached them, Huang Yongyu nervously informed Qing Yi and Chu Yang. Hoping both of them would choose to leave before they ended up in an even more troublesome situation than before.

"You should leave for now, we still have to gather some Pure Heart Spirit Herb for the sect mission and now that we know where it is, there is no way we can just give up on it!"

"But-"

"Don't worry too much about us. Even if we get found by the Ghost Howl Sect, we can always reveal our identity…" Reassuring Huang Yongyu, Chu Yang didn't feel like they had much to worry about.

The Ghost Howl Sect were in the process of dealing with the blue spiders and they just needed to take a long way around them, get the Pure Heart Spirit Grass and then leave.

Even if they were found by them, what could the Ghost Howl Sect do? They were still disciples of the Flying Sword Sect and the last thing the Ghost Howl Sect wanted was to be seen as an enemy by the Flying Sword Sect… Especially after what happened to the Raging Flame Sect…

"Fine… But you have to be quick! I will wait for you back at the pier of Pure Heart City!"

Reluctantly agreeing with the decision, Huang Yongyu made his way back towards the shore of the island, while Chu Yang and Qing Yi stayed behind.

Chapter 348 - Winged Lion Demon Beast's Special Ability

[Side Quest: You encountered a small blue deer asking for help to deal with a threat that once took the life of the small blue deer's mother. (complete)]

[Reward: Full Moon Ganoderma(Mystic)]

[Redeem: Y/N]

Back at the Main Peak, Xuan Hao had just finished up recovering from his earlier battle with the winged lion demon beast before getting the reward from the small blue deer's quest and putting it into his interspatial ring.

"That should be about it, should I go check up on the blue deer from-"

[System detected that hosts disciples encountered a low-tier young master. The disciples Chu Yang and Qing Yi confronted the low-tier young master!]

Just as Xuan Hao was contemplating over what to do next, a message from the system, that he had not seen in a long time suddenly reappeared.

"A young master…? How did Chu Yang and Qing Yi manage to encounter someone like that?" Muttering this to himself as he narrowed his eyes, the first thing Xuan Hao thought about was that it might be related to the area both of them had gone to.

After all, it was a well-known fact that the River Sect had a lot of Core Formation Realm cultivators, but no one at the Nascent Soul Realm, so the first thing Xuan Hao could think of was that someone from the River Sect had broken through to the Nascent Soul Realm and a member of their family had ended up in a fight with his two disciples…

No need to worry about it, the River Sect wouldn't dare to do anything to those-

[Disciple Chu Yang and Qing Yi enraged the low-tier young master, the low-tier young master will stop at nothing to get revenge!]

"…"

Upon seeing the second message from the system, Xuan Hao could not help smiling wryly as he felt like the system waited to throw out the second message…

Maybe I should go to the River Sect and make sure everything is okay…

About to leave the Main Peak for now, Xuan Hao turned around and looked at the winged lion. "Now, what should I do about you? Want to join me?"

Roar!

The winged lion roared approvingly towards Xuan Hao before excitedly moving around.

"Is this perhaps your first time outside the Main Peak…?"

Looking at how excited the winged lion was, Xuan Hao could not help thinking that it acted like a child leaving home for the first time.

Something not really fitting in with the winged lion demon beast's giant size and savage appearance.

Roar!

Roaring once again in response to what Xuan Hao said, Xuan Hao suddenly began realizing that the winged lion most likely never left its small spot besides the pagoda before he had come along.

Had this winged lion really just remained sleeping beside the pagoda and eating what little that came towards it on its own accord throughout its entire life…? Such a unique style of cultivating, even he was far inferior compared to the winged lion.

After all, he would still leave his pavilion from time to time and interact with other people. The winged lion on the other hand, just remained asleep beside a pavilion on the Main Peak as it slowly cultivated until it reached its current cultivation realm…

If not for the fact that demon beasts had a longer lifespan than human cultivators, Xuan Hao highly doubted that the winged lion would have been able to reach its current cultivation realm before its lifespan ran out…

Roar!

Having realized that its master was thinking something rude about it from the expression he was looking at it with, the winged lion roared angrily.

"Hehe, I was just thinking about my disciples. No need to be so angry~" Chuckling playfully after seeing the winged lions display, Xuan Hao joked around with it for another few minutes before stopping.

"Ahm! We still need to get going or we will never reach the River Sect's territory any time soon!" N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapter's release on N0v3l--B1n.

Seeing the winged lion look over at him with a wronged look similar to a child that had just been bullied by an evil adult, Xuan Hao stopped joking and returned to the issue at hand.

Any longer and the winged lion might disregard the blood pact and directly attack him! But at the very least he learnt that the winged lion was similar to a child in how it acted.

This did not have much to do with its age, but more with the fact that it hadn't really interacted with anyone before Xuan Hao had appeared.

Looking up at the giant winged lion standing in front of him, Xuan Hao suddenly realized that it might not be a good idea to fly over the Flying Sword Sect's territory with such a giant demon beast.

The sheer panic and fear such a giant demon beast flying by would cause, was likely going to end up being reported to the Flying Sword Sect for months to come…

"Can you look less threatening…?"

Not knowing if the winged lion had any way to make this happen, Xuan Hao could only ask and see if it had any way to do this.

Roar!

Fwoosh

Having understood what Xuan Hao said, the winged lion nodded its large head before it was suddenly enveloped by a large amount of smoke, causing Xuan Hao to take a few steps. Trying to move away from the smoke beginning to spread out with the winged lion at the centre. Soon covering a few dozen meters around the winged lion demon beast. Making it impossible to see the winged lion demon beasts hidden inside the smoke.

Whoosh~

After a few seconds passed, Xuan Hao watched the smoke disperse. Revealing the winged lion demon beast hidden inside.

"What in the world!? How is this even possible?!"

Not knowing what to say, Xuan Hao could only stare at the now tiny, winged lion demon beast that was standing in the place that the giant winged lion demon beast had stood seconds ago.

"You can shrink yourself?"

Roar~

A small, cute roar nowhere as majestic as before echoed out from the tiny, winged lion cub.

"Guess that is a yes… With this, we should be able to reach the River Sect without causing a massive panic along the way!"

Not thinking too much about how the winged lion had managed to shrink itself in the first place, Xuan Hao just decided to note it down as a special ability of whatever race the winged lion demon beast belonged to.

In the first place, it did not grow any stronger from shrinking. Instead, Xuan Hao clearly felt its strength weakening by a large margin through shrinking to its current small size.

If the winged lion could be said to be close to the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm before. Now it would only be around the middle stages of the Domain Lord Realm in strength!

Whoosh~

Picking up the tiny, winged lion before it could react, Xuan Hao made his way down the Main Peak before heading towards the territory of the River Sect.

Exploring the rest of the Main Peak would have to wait. In the first place, he was far from being strong enough to fully examine the hill sized blue rock filled with divine energy!

For now, the most important thing was to reach the River Sect before the low-tier young master mentioned by the system called his father, grandfather, ancestor, or great ancestor for help…

"Hm?!"

Why do I suddenly feel like something bad is about to happen to me…?

At the same time Xuan Hao was making his way over towards the River Sect's territory, a middle-aged man sitting down cultivating suddenly opened both his eyes as he looked around himself anxiously.

"Master? Is something wrong?"

A dozen figures donning completely black armour instantly appeared beside the middle-aged man before one of them stepped forward and asked in a worried tone.

"No need! My injuries just flared up for a short moment… More importantly, how is the current situation at the Pure Heart Island? Is my son making any progress in acquiring the Pure Heart Spiritual Water?"

Not wanting to admit that he just acted all anxious due to a superstitious feeling of danger, the man instead blamed his injuries before asking about his son's progress with a smile on his face.

His son was the most important thing left for him and he loved him dearly. Even to the point that he handed over the matter of getting the Pure Heart Spiritual Water needed for his recovery to him!

"The young master arrived at the Pure Heart Island a few hours ago, but…"

"Hm? But what?! Did anything happen to my son!?" Hearing something might have happened to his son, the middle-aged man sprang up and grabbed hold of the black clothed man.

"N-nothing happened to the young master, b-but the great elder said that there might be someone scheming against them on Pure Heart Island… T-the great elder said that it might be one of the other sects that know you need the Pure Heart Spiritual water to recover!" Explaining the situation as fast as he could, the black clothed man felt his shoulders begin letting out a few cracking sounds under the great force of the middle-aged man's grip.

"The other sects?! They dare? Looks like I will have to go help my son before those half dead fossils kills him!"

"Master! You can't! You are still not-"

Whoosh!

""…""

Before any of the people present could react, the middle-aged man disappeared in front of them.

"Let's get going as well… We have to make sure the master is safe…" Looking at everyone standing around, the black clothed man who had his shoulders broken by the middle-aged man stood up again before the group of black clothed people began chasing after their master.

Chapter 349 - Sect Mission Complete! Pure Heart Spiritual Grass Found!

You can read the novel fast updates at

Watching as Huang Yongyu made his way back towards the shore of the Pure Heart Island, Chu Yang and Qing Yi both turned around and made their way back in the direction they had just come from.

Following the sound of battle, both of them soon reached the battlefield that they had created between the people on the Ghost Howl Sect's side and the blue spiders.

"Looks like the Ghost Howl Sect is winning…"

Looking over the battlefield heavily in favour of the Ghost Howl Sect given the fact that they had way more experts at the Core Formation Realm compared to the three on the side of the blue spiders, Chu Yang and Qing Yi both knew that they had to hurry and sneak past them before the battle ended.

After all, the last thing they wanted at the moment, was for them to get discovered by the Core Formation Experts on the Ghost Howl Sect's side just after they caused them to fight so many blue spiders for no reason and that was not to mention the losses on the side of the Ghost Howl Sect!

Even if they had a clear advantage against the blue spider demon beasts. The sheer ferocity and strength of the blue spiders overwhelmed some of the weaker and less experienced disciples of the Ghost How Sect. Inevitably causing quite a few casualties on the side of the Ghost Howl Sect…

"Let's go…"

Looking over the bloody battlefield one last time from behind the thick foliage of the rainbow crown forest, Chu Yang grabbed a hold of Qing Yi and dragged her along with him before long, both of them had managed to make their way past the chaotic battlefield by moving a few dozen meters away from the edges of the battlefield to avoid both the Ghost Howl Sect and the blue spiders at the same time.

This was mainly possible because both sides of the fight were occupied with each other instead of focusing on anyone that might be sneaking past them. All but one person who enjoyed the comfort of being guarded by two Core Formation Realm Experts…

"Who- The person who threw the damned corpse?!"

Keeping an eye on the battlefield and feeling his anger rise every time he watched a blue spider successfully break through the defences line compromised by disciples of the Ghost Howl Sect and kill a few of them, he manged to barely spot two familiar figures moving along the edges of the battlefield, as they tried to make their presence invisible to the two sides fighting.

"You! Go after those two and get them for me! They are the ones who caused this mess in the first place!"

"But… Young master, your safety-"

"No need to worry, I don't need both of you to keep me safe! One is more than enough and I can still fight myself if it comes down to it!"

Refusing to listen to the request of one of the Core Formation Experts guarding him from the ferocious blue spiders, the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect directly ordered him to go after Qing Yi and Chu Yang sneaking along the edges of the battlefield.

"…Yes, young master…"

Knowing he had no way to refuse his young mater, the Core Formation Expert reluctantly nodded his head before charging towards Chu Yang and Qing Yi.

Having to deal with blue spiders constantly attacking him and slowing him down along the way.

By the time he reached the edges of the battlefield, Qing Yi and Chu Yang were already gone…

"…"

Looking back towards the direction of his young master, the Core Formation Expert let out an exhausted sigh inside his mind.

There was no way he could return empty handed without having caught those two, his young master would definitely get the great elder to punish him… All he could do now, was to chase after them into the rainbow crown forest!

Glancing back towards the battlefield one last time before chasing after Chu Yang and Qing Yi, he just barely managed to catch the sight of the great elder in question launching a terrifying fist attack forward and pierce through the body of the giant blue spider…

Yep… No way I'm returning emptyhanded!

Whoosh~

With this thought passing through his head, the man quickly disappeared in the direction Chu Yang and Qing Yi had run in.

Still barely able to pick up the faint traces they left behind while moving through the rainbow crown forest.

Having hurried through the rainbow crown forest, Chu Yang and Qing Yi both found themselves in front of a small hill without any rainbow crown trees on it setting itself apart from the forest that surrounded it on all sides.

"This should be close to the place that Huang Yongyu found the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass… Let's split up and search for it"

Looking down on the map where Huang Yongyu had crossed out the location, he had found the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass, Chu Yang and Qing Yi both came to a stop before splitting up to search for the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass.

Chu Yang moving to search in the area around the hill, while Qing Yi made her way up the small hill to get a better view of the surroundings.

After all, no matter how accurate the location on the map was, there was no way Huang Yongyu could note down the precise location on the map, when the hill in front of them was barely visible on it.

"I found it! It's just over there by the large rainbow crown tree!"

The search did not last for long, as Qing Yi spotted the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass the moment, she reached the top of the hill.

"… How is that supposed to help me?" Listening to Qing Yi's yelling at him from the top of the small hill, Chu Yang could not help muttering to quietly under his breath as he looked around at the rainbow crown trees all around him.

Just how did Qing Yi expect for him to know what 'large rainbow crown tree' she was talking about…?

Thinking this to himself, Chu Yang looked up at Qing Yi standing on top of the small hill before seeing that she was pointing towards a location just beneath the hill.

"Guess the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass is over there…"

Following the directions Qing Yi pointed in, Chu Yang soon arrived in front of the larger than average rainbow crown tree, with the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass growing just beneath it.

The home of the blue spider?

Observing the large rainbow crown tree, Chu Yang quickly noticed a relatively large hole leading into the interior of the tree covered in weird blue spider webs.

Feeling a bit cautious upon seeing the blue spider home, Chu Yang soon remembered that the blue spider had already left before he began lowering his guard.

Swish~

Approaching the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass, Chu Yang didn't intend to waste any time. Quickly uprooting the spiritual herb before taking out a small wooden box for storage.

"This should do, the sect mission never mentioned the amount of Pure Heart Spiritual Grass needed… I hope this will be enough…"

Having put away the small wooden box where he had stored the Pure Heart Spiritual Herb, Chu Yang looked back up towards the top of the small hill where Qing Yi had been standing a moment ago. Only to be shocked when the person in question suddenly appeared directly in front of him with a panicked look on her face.

"Chu Yang! We have to run!"

Before Chu Yang could ask about anything, he was suddenly dragged off by Qing Yi as both of them soon began running at top speed in a random direction.

"What in the world happened!? Why are we suddenly running like this?" Not understanding why Qing Yi had suddenly dragged him to run away, Chu Yang desperately tried to understand the current situation as he asked her in a bewildered voice.

"Someone from the Ghost Howl Sect is after us! Someone in the Core Formation Realm!" Seeing Chu Yang's bewildered expression, Qing Yi quickly explained what she had seen just a moment ago from the top of the hill.

"Ghost Howl Sect!? Core Formation Realm!? Someone managed to spot us…"

Realizing the reason for someone to be chasing after them, Chu Yang regretted not taking a longer way around the battlefield… The only problem was that they might get spotted by other demon beasts by doing that and end up drawing unwanted attention towards themselves this way and if they took a path around that was too long, the battle would finish up before they could take a boat towards the Pure Heart City!

At that point in time, the Ghost Howl Sect would likely set up people to search anyone trying to make their way off Pure Heart Island…

"Yes! And they somehow tracked us all the way here and are getting closer! The only advantage we have at the moment is the fact that the person chasing us don't seem to have found us yet and is still only tracking our movements… If not, he would likely already have caught up to us by now…" N0v3lRealm was the platform where this chapter was initially revealed on N0v3l.B1n.

Nodding her head in agreement to what Chu Yang said, Qing Yi herself also began to realize the danger of their current situation.

No matter what, they had to escape the Core Formation Expert from the Ghost Howl Sect! Who knows, he might even ignore their identity and just kill them if they were unlucky to have encountered someone who either didn't believe them or believed that the Flying Sword Sect would never find out about what happened…

Chapter 350 - Demon Beasts Of The Pure Heart Lake

Running through the rainbow crown tree forest, Qing Yi and Chu Yang soon found themselves reaching the end of the forest as a large river appeared in front of both of them, a large open terrain spreading out in front of them.

The river itself ran straight through the Pure Heart Island and ran from a small body of water at the centre of the island out into the Pure Heart Lake.

"Let's go-"

"We should follow the river back towards the shore along the edge of the rainbow crown tree forest! Going onto the other side without any cover would easily reveal our position…" Just before Qing Yi could make his way over the river and keep going straight, Chu Yang stopped her.

When it came to experience with escaping from someone with a stronger cultivation realm than himself, Chu Yang was far more experienced than Qing Yi and he knew through personal experience that crossing the river and going straight through such an open terrain with no places to hide, was a terrible idea…

"True…" Looking over the mostly open land with no places to hide for them on the other side of the river, Qing Yi quickly agreed with what Chu Yang said and stopped herself from jumping over the river and instead decided to listen to Chu Yang.

Whoosh~

With Chu Yang now leading the way instead of Qing Yi, both of them began proceeding forward more smoothly as they made their way towards the shore of the Pure Heart Island.

The more important thing was that now with Chu Yang having recovered from the shock of suddenly being dragged to run away with Qing Yi, he could help make sure they didn't leave any too obvious traces behind while escaping.

After all, Qing Yi had no experience when it came to escaping from someone… Compared to Chu Yang who had once spent weeks escaping from the Black Rose Sect's people!

In the end, Chu Yang even began throwing out several fake clues to the person following them.

Some clues suggesting they escaped towards the other side of the river and some to suggest they had made their way back into the rainbow crown tree forest towards the battlefield of the blue spiders and the Ghost Howl Sect.

With all of this in mind, Chu Yang hoped that the person following them would be slowed down and if possible, completely shake him off their tail as he went in the direction one of his fake clues pointed out…

"…"

Qing Yi didn't understand much of what Chu Yang was doing as they were escaping. Only silently observing from the side as he stopped for a few seconds to break a few branches on the ground leading deeper inside the rainbow crown tree forest or rip off a small part of his clothes before placing it on the ground on the other side of the river.

All of this was new to her, so Qing Yi just decided to just obediently do whatever Chu Yang said while escaping!

"What in the world is this!?"

At the same time, the Core Formation Realm Expert following closely behind them had just arrived by the river before following after Chu Yang and Qing Yi. Only to curse loudly the next moment when he discovered he had followed a wrong lead.

"When did they grow experienced in hiding their escape path…?"

Gritting his teeth as he returned to where he had been a moment ago. Only to discover several more leads than he had before, the Core Formation Expert from the Ghost Howl Sect was not happy in the slightest as he realized most of the leads were likely to be fake.

"Hah… At least I know that those two will be trying to find a way off the Pure Heart Island now that they offended the Ghost Howl Sect..." With this in mind, the Core Formation Expert of the Ghost Howl Sect chose to ignore the different clues left behind by Chu Yang and instead trusted in his prediction.

Whoosh!

Utilizing his movement technique to its peak, the Core Formation Expert of the Ghost Howl Sect let out a scary smile as he disappeared back into the rainbow crown tree forest.

No matter what, he could not return to his young mater without bringing the two troublemakers back with him…

"Looks like we escaped…"

Having made their way to the shore of the Pure Heart Island without encountering the Core Formation Realm Expert along the way, Chu Yang came to a stop as he told Qing Yi with a smile on his face while looking back towards the direction they had just come from.

"Are you sure…?" Not sure that they had escaped yet, Qing Yi glanced in the same direction as Chu Yang, just that instead of having a confident smile on her face like Chu Yang, Qing Yi was still on edge as she asked him.

"Yeah, if he had still been after us at this point in time, he would have already caught up with us!"

Hearing Chu Yang say this in a confident tone, Qing Yi began relaxing a bit before turning to look out on the calm Pure Heart Lake.

"Now we just need to get back and get a ship back to the Pure Heart City before making our way back to the sect… I wonder if anything happened while we were gone…"

"I don't think much will have changed, but I'm curious how far our new junior brother has managed to progress over the past week or so…"

Splash~

As Qing Yi and Chu Yang were taking a short moment to relax before continuing their journey towards the area on Pure Heart Island where the boats were located, a large splashing sound could be heard coming from behind them.

Followed by the large splash, both Qing Yi and Chu Yang witnessed for the first time what the demon beasts lurking in the depths of the Pure Heart Lake looked like, as a giant fish like creature the size of a small building burst out from the surface of the water before flying towards both of them.

Bang!

Before Chu Yang and Qing Yi even had time to get out of the way of the giant fish demon beast that had suddenly been sent flying landed just a few meters beside them.

"Wha-"

Whoosh

Qing Yi barely manged to get a sound out from her mouth as the giant fish demon beast was grabbed by an enormous tentacle that appeared out of nowhere, as it coiled around the fish demon beast before dragging it back into the Pure Heart Lake.

Roar!

Splash!

"…" The original appearance of this chapter can be found at Ñøvlß1n.

The entire process only took a little over five seconds and both Qing Yi and Chu Yang had no idea what they just witnessed… But one thing was for certain, both of them had started to understand why nobody dared to swim across the Pure Heart Lake to reach the Pure Heart Island.

Other than that, the giant roaring fish demon beast the size of a small house that they had just seen being ruthlessly thrown on shore before being dragged back down underwater, was at the Core Formation Realm…

It was not like the giant fish demon beast didn't fight back during the process, it was simply because the tentacle that coiled around it was way too powerful for it to resist, as it could only roar pitifully while being dragged back into the Pure Heart Lake…

"Let's move a bit further away from the shore…"

"Yes… Let's do that…"

Coming to a tactic understanding, Qing Yi and Chu Yang both decided to move further away from the shore of the Pure Heart Lake, they did not want to find out what kind of underwater demon beast that tentacle from earlier belonged to…

It would be far easier to deal with the Core Formation Realm Expert of the Ghost Howl Sect compared to whatever horror that tentacle was a part of…

At the same time, it also made both of them think, just how strong were the demon beasts hidden beneath the surface of the Pure Heart Lake?

The giant fish demon beast was at the Core Formation Realm, the demon beast that the tentacle belonged to would surely be stronger be a lot. Maybe it had reached the Peak of the Core Formation Realm? Or maybe, it had even reached the Nascent Soul Realm…?

Thinking about this, both Chu Yang and Qing Yi could not help but shiver as they unconsciously began moving further and further away from the shore of the Pure Heart Island.

At this point in time, both Qing Yi and Chu Yang wanted nothing more than to leave the Pure Heart Island as quickly as possible and make their way back to the Flying Sword Sect.

At least the Flying Sword Sect did not have such a terrifying lake that contained all sorts of scary demon beasts! The demon beasts inside the Pure heart Lake are probably stronger than the River Sect that are supposedly in control of it!

Chapter 351 - Leaving Pure Heart Island!

You can read the novel fast updates at

Having been shocked by the strength of the demon beasts that lurked inside the Pure Heart Lake, both Chu Yang and Qing Yi cautiously glanced over towards the lake as both of them slowly made their way over towards the area that they had first arrived at the Pure Heart Island, where the boats used to go to and from the island were located. N0v3lRealm was the platform where this chapter was initially revealed on N0v3l.B1n.

The building that Huang Yongyu had first gone to and bought the map of the Pure Heart Island along with the familiar small boats soon appeared in front of the two.

"What is that huge ship!?" Exclaiming loudly as she pointed towards a large ship several times large than the small boat, they had used to cross the Pure Heart Lake, Qing Yi felt a sense of amazement well up inside her.

The ship was by far the largest one she had ever seen in her life! Though that was because she didn't really live next to a large body of water in the first place… Even then, Qing Yi still felt amazed seeing such a large ship.

"It's likely the one used by the Ghost Howl Sect! We have to be careful…" Unlike Qing Yi's amazed expression, Chu Yang instead grew more cautious after seeing the large ship.

From personal experience, he knew very well that there would likely be someone from the Ghost Howl Sect around to guard the ship and he soon managed to spot a few figures dressed in the robes belonging to the Ghost Howl Sect talking to a large bulky middle-aged man with a respectful look on their faces.

The one in charge of defending the large ship?

Coming to this conclusion, Chu Yang turned around to inform Qing Yi about it.

"That is the person who chased after us! Even if I couldn't see him clearly from the top of the hill, there is no way I would mistake him for someone else!"

"Really?"

"Yes…"

Listening to what Qing Yi said, Chu Yang suddenly felt like they had found themselves in an extremely troublesome situation.

The person that had chased after them had suddenly appeared in front of them… Did he perhaps understand that they would attempt to reach the small pier at the Pure Heart Lake to escape and wanted to block their path of escape?

Thinking about this, Chu Yang could not help frowning to himself as the person chasing after both of them turned out to be smarter than he had expected!

Now they would have to find a way to sneak past the people from the Ghost Howl Sect, who very likely had some clue about their appearance and at the same time avoid the eyes of the Core Formation Realm Expert…

At least Huang Yongyu had already left earlier on, and they didn't have to worry about him getting caught by one of his sect's enemies.

"Should we just try and sneak onto one of the small ships about to leave and reveal our identities if we get discovered by the Ghost Howl Sect?"

As Chu Yang was deep in thought trying to come up with a way for them to get out of their current situation, Qing Yi asked him with a sad look on her face. Clearly not too fond of the idea that they would have to use the influence of their sect to get out safely.

"…"

Chu Yang, who had been lost coming up with a way for them to escape their current predicament, was rendered speechless upon hearing Qing Yi's suggestion.

Why did I not think of that?!

Realizing the fact that he had been too caught up with comparing their current situation to back when he had been chased by the Black Rose Sect, Chu Yang could not help smiling wryly.

Compared to back then where he would die if he got caught, the current situation was far less dangerous, as they could always use their background as disciples of the Flying Sword Sect to intimidate the people of the Ghost Howl Sect…

Like this, Chu Yang and Qing Yi soon began sneaking their way towards a departing boat. Doing their best to avoid any members of the Ghost Howl Sect along the way.

Moving towards the boat was not really that hard, as they just tried their best to blend in with the surrounding people. Hoping that the few people from the Ghost Howl Sect that saw them would believe that they were just a few wandering cultivators.

At least only the Core Formation Realm Expert would be able to recognise them at first glance!

"Hah… That was way too nerve wrecking!"

"Indeed…"

Having successfully managed to make their way onto the small boat about to depart from the Pure Heart Island, both Chu Yang and Qing Yi collapsed down on a seat in the interior of the boat.

Thumb~

Just as both Qing Yi and Chu Yang were about to relax as they would make their way back towards the Pure Heart City before beginning their journey back towards the Flying Sword Sect, a loud thumb was heard before the door leading into the interior of the small boat was flung open. Followed by two people belonging to the Ghost Howl Sect making their way inside.

"No need to worry, we are just here to check if the people who attacked our sect is present!" One of the two stepped forward and explained. Calming the down the passengers who looked to be a little more on edge after seeing two people from the Ghost Howl Sect suddenly appear.

"So, they are just here to look for the three people who endangered their young master..."

"Three people dared to attack the Ghost Howl Sect's young master? Who was brave enough to do something like that? Don't they know how protective the Ghost Howl Sect is of their young master?!

"Listen here, just a moment ago, someone led an entire horde of blue spiders into the Ghost Howl Sect's expeditionary group heading for the centre of the Pure Heart Lake! It was even said that the one in front even threw the corpse of a royal blue spider towards the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect before running away!"

"Really!? Isn't this similar to wanting the horde of blue spiders to attack the young master?!"

"Yeah, and it was apparently done by three young wandering cultivators!"

"Wow… To think they dared to do something like that…"

"No need to be surprised, they were likely hired by the River Sect or one of the Ghost Howl Sect's other enemies! People like that will do anything for a few spirit stones…"

""…""

As the conversation continued among the passengers, Chu Yang and Qing Yi could not help smiling awkwardly at each other as the conversation turned them into someone that was a part of a larger scheme against the Ghost Howl Sect's young master that happened to be present at the scene.

"Chu Yang… Did you really throw the corpse at the young master they are talking about?"

"I think so… I just threw it in a hope that the blue spiders would target them instead of us, I never expected for things to turn out like this!"

Not expecting that he had ended up throwing the blue spider corpse directly at the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect, Chu Yang could not help lament at how unlucky he was.

After all, given what he had done, the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect might completely disregard his background and just outright kill them when he got their hands on them…

According to a short reminder of the dangers of the world from their master before they left to complete the two sect missions, the typical young masters were often unreasonable beings that never considered the consequences of their actions.

Therefore, they should not try and use their background as disciples of the Flying Sword Sect to get away from people like that, as they would most likely just ignore it and just outright kill them…

"Hm?"

As Chu Yang and Qing Yi were both trying their best to make themselves blend in with the surrounding passengers onboard the small ship, one of the two people from the Ghost Howl Sect seemed to have discovered something as he slowly began making his way over towards the place where Chu Yang and Qing Yi were sitting.

The member of the Ghost Howl Sect suddenly making his way over towards them. Not only caused Chu Yang and Qing Yi to grow nervous, as the other passengers sitting close to them also began to grow nervous.

Even if they knew that they were not involved with the incident that took place, they still held a certain amount of fear towards a large sect like the Ghost Howl Sect.

After all, for a normal wandering cultivator. Even a small sect would be considered something they couldn't offend.. Let alone a sect like the Ghost Howl Sect that was widely regarded as one of the strongest in the area around the River Sect's territory.

Chapter 352 - Elder Song's Plan For The Other Elders...

Thumb thumb!

The interior of the small boat suddenly became quiet as the man from the Ghost Howl Sect scanned over Chu Yang and Qing Yi, along with the rest of the passengers sitting close to them with a frown slowly making its wat onto his face.

"I-is there anything wrong…?" One of the passengers could not calm down, as he suddenly stood up and asked the man from the Ghost Howl Sect the moment, he was about to pass by him.

Raising his eyebrows at the question of the nervous man, the man from the Ghost Howl Sect narrowed his eyes even further as he closely inspected the small group of passengers along with Chu Yang and Qing Yi.

"Hm? I just thought I saw someone familiar among the passengers and… It looks like there is indeed someone my Ghost Howl Sect has been searching for!" Finishing what he said, both Chu Yang and Qing Yi grew extremely nervous as they prepared to knock out the two people from the Ghost Howl Sect before taking control of the small boat and escaping.

At the very least, there was no way the Core Formation Expert would dare to follow them if they managed to get out on the lake!

If he really did continue to chase after them by jumping into the Pure Heart Lake by himself… Well, he would have to deal with whatever demon beasts that might be lurking beneath the surface. Waiting for their next meal to show up…

As Chu Yang and Qing Yi were both tightly gripping the handle of their weapons. Prepared to fight with the two members of the Ghost Howl Sect before trying to make an escape by taking over the small boat, the man from the Ghost Howl Sect suddenly grabbed onto a man sitting just in front of the two!

"Argh! H-how did you recognize me?"

"How could I forget you?! I still remember how you scammed me out of all my spirit stones back in the Pure Heart City! Do you know how much pain you caused me when my junior sisters asked me to go out and have fun. Only for me to be too broke to even go out and buy a simple meat bun!?"

Bang!

The man sitting in front of both Chu Yang and Qing Yi was suddenly pulled away from his seat before being thrown onto the floor violently.

"Hehe, I searched for you through the entire Pure Heart City… Only for you to hide away over at the Pure Heart Island! Looks like it was indeed a bit of good luck on my side that the sect decided to search everyone leaving the Pure Heart Island…" Smiling happily as he began dragging the man towards the entrance leading out of the small boat.

"I hope you won't blame the Ghost Howl Sect too much for this short inspection…" The other man from the Ghost Howl Sect chuckled quietly to himself upon seeing his friend's behaviour before also turning around to leave.

Clearly, he was already aware of the incident and had even ended up benefiting quite a bit due to it, as the junior sisters in question had instead come to look for him after his friend's refusal to join them…

""Hah…""

Watching as the two disciples from the Ghost Howl Sect left with the man that had just sat in front of them, Chu Yang and Qing Yi could not help letting out a simultaneous sigh of relief.

At least for now, it looked like they had escaped the Pure Heart Island safely without needing to expose their identity or call for their masters help through their communication talismans!

It would simply be way too embarrassing if they had to call their master for help during their first ever sect mission and they were almost certain that doing something like that, would most likely result in them not getting another opportunity to go out and explore the world outside the Flying Sword Sect before reaching the Core Formation Realm…

Yes… That was it, they totally didn't forget the fact that they could just call their master for help through their communication talismans through the entire encounter with the blue spiders and the Ghost Howl Sect… In the first place, it would also take their master some time to reach them.

After all, the River Sect was not located right next to the Flying Sword Sect and given that it had taken them several days to reach while riding on a demon beast, their master would definitely not have the ability to instantly appear in front of them the moment they called for help…

Swish~

Having been searched by the two men from the Ghost Howl Sect, Chu Yang and Qing Yi both smiled happily at each other as they felt the boat slowly beginning to move away from the Pure Heart Island and towards the Pure Heart City.

No matter what, there was no way the Ghost Howl Sect would dare completely stopping the traffic between the Pure Heart Island and the Pure Heart City.

Not to mention the fact that the River Sect was the rightful owner of the island and city, the other sects that banded up with the Ghost Howl Sect to supress the River Sect, would salivate at every opportunity to cause trouble for the Ghost Howl Sect and try to get a few more opportunities for their own sects…

"Are you sure this will work…?"

At the same time back in the Flying Sword Sect, Feng Chen had just recently gotten back together with Zu Fei when Elder Song had rushed into his pavilion and presented a large scroll filled with row upon row of densely packed words.

"Yes! If we do this, we will be able to increase the loyalty of the different sects inside our territory and at the same time increase our control over our territory as a whole! You should already know, outside the few important locations like spirit stone mines and places where spiritual herbs grow, we don't really have any idea about the overall situation of our territory…"

"But… Are you sure the elders will be fine with this…?"

Looking down on the scroll that Elder Song had presented to him, Feng Chen could not help but ask with a worried expression on his face.

If they really went ahead with Elder Song's plans, the elders of the sect would need to be spread out to take up different governing positions neatly set up by Elder Song in different places around their territory.

Feng Chen worried that elders might riot if he suddenly split them up like that… After all, those old people seemed to enjoy spending their time together… Lazing around while spending the sect's resources… Swarming both him and Elder Song with their requests for help whenever they ended up arguing with each other…

"Never mind, we will go ahead with your idea… This way, the sect will also be able to utilize the fact that we have so many elders at the Core Formation Realm. Instead of just letting them stay in here to fade away with time…"

Thinking about a few rather unique requests that had appeared after waking up, Feng Chen decided to agree with Elder Song.

"Good! At the moment, I only plan for the younger elders at Core Formation Realm Experts to take up this task for now. From what I have seen, there is more than enough of them to cover our current territory according to the way I divided it up and we can at the same time allow for the older elders just laying around all day, to instead spend some time teaching the outer and inner disciples of the sect! No need to worry about them refusing, I will personally make sure that they will agree!"

"You already thought way ahead of me, so I will just allow you to handle the situation as you see fit! This is a great opportunity for our Flying Sword Sect to expand our scope of influence over the surrounding territory!" Nodding his head while listening to what Elder Song said, Feng Chen did not hesitate in the slightest as he allowed Elder Song to implement his desired changes to the territory of the Flying Sword Sect.
