Chapter 353 - Sect Master Of The Ghost Howl Sect!
"Did you get the Pure Heart Spirit Grass…?"
The moment Chu Yang and Qing Yi stepped off the small boat, Huang Yongyu suddenly rushed over from a small bench located just beside the area where the small boats going to and from the Pure Heart Island were docked.
"Yes, we managed to get the Pure Heart Spirit Grass, so we will be returning to our sect soon…" Nodding his head as she said this, Chu Yang felt somewhat reluctant to leave knowing the current situation of their new friend's sect.
"What will you be doing from now on…?"
"I don't know… I guess I will return to my sect and see how my parents are doing. Nothing really changed, so we will still be keeping an eye on the Ghost Howl Sect and the other sects working together with them-"
"Just waiting for them to inevitably attack when your sect grows weak enough for them to handle?"
"Yeah…"
As the conversation between Chu Yang and Huang Yongyu ended in silence, Qing Yi tilted her head slightly to the side with a confused expression on her face.
"Can't we just ask master to help them out when we get back? It's not like it will be too much trouble and I think master would be more than happy to prevent the potential chaos caused by these sects after the disappearance of the River Sect…"
""…""
Listening to what Qing Yi said, both Chu Yang and Huang Yongyu starred at each other blankly for a short moment a look of realization appeared on both their faces.
That's right! If the Flying Sword Sect lend a hand to the River Sect, it would be easy to solve the problem of the Ghost Howl Sect and other sects slowly moving into the River Sect's territory!
"Good idea! Let's do that!"
As Chu Yang happily agreed to Qing Yi's suggestion and Huang Yongyu bowed his head. Not clearly believing that two disciple would be able to do something like convincing their sect to help out his sect.
"I-if you really manage to do that, my River Sect would be in your debt!"
With both Chu Yang and Qing Yi having decided that they wanted to help out Huang Yongyu's River Sect, they quickly said a few words of goodbye before hurrying towards the entrance of the Pure Heart City. Wanting to return to the sect as quickly as possible to now help out their new friend and officially complete their first two sect missions. The initial instance of this chapter being available happened at N0v3l.Bin.

A loud explosion could be heard as a man covered in a completely black robe angrily stomped the ground with all his strength only a short distance away from the entrance to the Pure Heart City with a communication talisman in hand.
"What!? The people who schemed against me and my son escaped!?"
A low yet furious voice filled with killing intent could be heard coming from beneath the black robe covering the man's body as the few people unfortunate enough to be entering the Pure Heart City at the moment all began trembling in fear under the terrifying aura slowly beginning to spread out with the man covered the black robes at the centre.
The person in question was the Sect Master of the Ghost Howl Sect, who had hurried towards the Pure Heart Island where his son had been schemed against by someone. Only for the said people to have somehow escaped right under their noses.
Apparently, they had just been spotted by one of the Ghost Howl Sects disciples inside the Pure Heart City making their way off one of the small boats.
The main reason why the disciple had even recognised them in the first place, was because he was out searching for the group of three who had pretended to be part of the Ghost Howl Sect to sneak into the Pure Heart City…
When the disciple had confronted the group after one of them had just left for somewhere else, the disciple asked them about them pretending to be disciples of his sect, when they had suddenly attacked him for no reason.
Followed by this, he had according to his own explanation 'fought valiantly before being knocked out by them in long drawn out fight'.
"So, they are still inside the Pure Heart City!?"
"I think so, Sect Master! But they might have already made their way out of the city and trying to run away."
"Good! Like this I can just use my divine sense to find those two easily, hehe, I never expected for it to be this easy!"
Putting away his communication talisman as an evil smile appeared on his lips, the man chuckled menacingly to himself before entering the Pure Heart City where he began using his divine sense to search for the three people who dared to plot against his Ghost Howl Sect.
"Kekeke, there you are!"
Whoosh~
Without a single guard daring to step forward to stop him, the sect master of the Ghost Howl Sect suddenly let out a wicked laughter before rushing back out of the gate before moving over towards a certain place located just outside the Pure Heart City.
Being someone at the Nascent Soul Realm, along with him having been given a decent description of how the group of three schemers looked, the sect master of the Ghost Howl Sect used close to no time before he locked onto their current position inside the Pure Heart City.
His first target being the group of two who had apparently just knocked out one of his sect disciples and were in the process of escaping from the Pure Heart City!
"Hehe, just you three wait! I will make sure my dear son can get his revenge on you himself!"

"Do you think the Ghost Howl Sect knows we left the Pure Heart Island…?" Looking down at a disciple from the Ghost Howl Sect that had just showed up to confront them about pretending to be member of the Ghost Howl Sect, Qing Yi could not help growing a bit anxious as she clearly knew that the Pure Heart City was mostly under the control of the Ghost Howl Sect and the other sects working against the River Sect.
"No need to worry so much! For now, we just need to leave the Pure Heart City before the Ghost Howl Sect returns from the Pure Heart Island… After all, given the fact that they are most likely there for something important, I doubt they would suddenly return just because of someone who pretended to be part of their sect knocking out their disciple! It's not like we killed any of their disciples…"
Trying his best to calm down Qing Yi, Chu Yang explained to her logically. No matter what, they clearly didn't harm the disciple too much and the Ghost Howl Sect should not take the matter too seriously.
At most they would send one of their Core Formation Realm Experts over to investigate what happened, but at that point Chu Yang and Qing Yi would both have long left the Pure Heart City!
"Hah… Sure, but I can't help worrying about it for some reason…"
Looking over at the unconscious disciple from the Ghost Howl Sect, Qing Yi shook her head before both of them hurriedly made their way towards the river Chu Yang had used to enter the Pure Heart City before.
Neither of them having any idea that the sect master of the Ghost Howl Sect was just about to reach the gate into the Pure Heart City at this point in time.
Splash!
Jumping into the river upon seeing that nobody was around to spot them jumping in, Chu Yang looked back up at Qing Yi who hesitantly stared down at the very clearly contaminated river water. "With this we should be able to avoid the guards at the gate that might recognize us from our little stunt earlier!"
"But… Hah…" About to complain about their method out of the city, Qing Yi could only give up after seeing the Chu Yang already making his way towards the hole in the city wall for the river to flow through.
Splash!
Jumping into the river water before following after Chu Yang, Qing Yi did her best to not think about how disgusting the river water inside the city walls were.
However, the sight of someone standing on a small pier along with the sound of water hitting water did not help in the slightest, as Qing Yi directly dived under the surface of the river before swimming after Chu Yang at speeds more similar to a fish than a human.
Splash!
"Hah! Finally, out!"
Reaching the other side of the city wall, Qing Yi almost jumped out of the water before rushing to clean herself under the bewildered eyes of Chu Yang who soon appeared behind her.
"With this, we should at least be safe for now… Let's find the demon beast from the-"
"Found you!"
Just as Qing Yi had finished cleaning up and Chu Yang was getting ready to search for the demon beast they had used to travel, a loud voice could suddenly be heard in the distance as both Qing Yi and Chu Yang watched in horror as a middle-aged man appeared in the distance.
Bang!
Before they could even move to attempt escaping, the middle-aged man had already appeared directly in front of Chu Yang and Qing Yi.
H-how fast!
Both Qing Yi and Chu Yang knew very well from the speed alone that the person in front of them was not someone they could escape from with their current strength!

Chapter 354 - Fate Of The Ghost Howl Sect's Sect Master!
"Hm… I wonder how my two disciples are doing…" Flying through the air with the small pup sized winged lion, Xuan Hao could not help thinking about how his two disciples were doing.
Given that even the worst young master according to the system had someone at the Nascent Soul Realm behind him, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit happy that it was only a low-tier young master that his two disciples had encountered.
After all, if it was a mid-tier or even high-tier young master, Xuan Hao feared that his two disciples wouldn't have been alive… NvεlB¡n: Inspiring Minds, Illuminating Souls.
At least from what he had understood about the grading part of young masters, the mid-tier would mean someone at the Domain Lord Realm supported the young master, while at the high-tier, it would be someone at the Soul Ascension Realm!
Given the fact that not many people outside what had made up the past Heavenly Sky Kingdom knew about the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao didn't believe someone with a Domain Lord Realm Expert backing them up would even bother take a sect from such a place into account…
High-tier young masters could probably only be found inside the core territory of the different empires on the Ewaria Continent, so Xuan Hao didn't really worry about his disciples encountering someone like that all of a sudden… The chances of that happening were simply way too unlikely.
"Hah… Even if that is the case, there is still a chance that my disciples will encounter someone like that when they begin adventuring outside the territory of the Flying Sword Sect in the future… I will have to make sure they are prepared for how to deal with it when the time comes!" Muttering this to himself as he saw the Pure Heart Lake in the distance, Xuan Hao began to slow down before spreading his divine sense out to search for his two disciples.
The entire process took no more than a few seconds as his divine sense easily spread out and covered the Pure Heart City located only a few miles away from his current position.
"Hm? That is…"
Picking up the location of his disciples just outside the Pure Heart City, Xuan Hao frowned slightly upon sensing an aura around the Nascent Soul Realm making his way over towards both of them filled with killing intent.
Does that guy have a death wish…?
Clearly seeing through the strength of the Nascent Soul Realm Expert, Xuan Hao could simply not believe that someone barely in the first stage of the Nascent Soul Realm would dare attack someone from the Flying Sword Sect so blatantly and out in the open!
The guards standing at the gate could easily see the whole thing take place from where they were standing!
More importantly, even before the rapid increase in strength that the Flying Sword Sect had experienced over the past half year, it would have no problem dealing with someone only at the first stage of the Nascent Soul Realm…
Whoosh!
Seeing the person in the Nascent Soul Realm suddenly speed up before charging over towards his two disciple, Xuan Hao narrowed his eyes dangerously before flying over. Soon reappearing a few meters above his two disciples.
"Found you!"
Listening to the clearly furious Nascent Soul Realm Expert as he smiled menacingly at both his disciples full of killing intent, Xuan Hao suddenly grew a bit curious and stopped himself from just killing him.
I really wonder what these two disciples of mine did to anger a Nascent Soul Realm Expert to this degree…
With this in mind, Xuan Hao decided to watch for now and see what the Nascent Soul Realm Expert was going to do with his two disciples. Even if he suddenly turned around to kill both of them, with his current strength, Xuan Hao was more than confident in being able to stop someone who was only at the first stage of the Nascent Soul Realm from doing anything.
Especially so given the fact that he could just use his new ice domain to freeze him to death instantly…
Roar~?
Not understanding why Xuan Hao had suddenly stopped just above the three random humans, it tilted its small head cutely to the side. Hoping that it would get an explanation on what they were even doing here in the first place…
"Don't worry, these two are my disciples and this is-"
Roar!
Swish~
Already understanding what Xuan Hao meant after pointing out that the two small humans beneath them were his disciples, the winged lion's paw suddenly grew back to its original size before moving down towards the unsuspecting Nascent Soul Realm Expert.
"Hehe, you two are not going to die so easily! I will allow my son to have the honour of extracting his revenge with his own hands! For now, I will just seal you two up before catching your little friend still inside the-"
Splat!
The giant paw of the winged lion suddenly appeared out of seemingly thin air in the eyes of Chu Yang and Qing Yi before hitting the Sect Master of the Ghost Howl Sect. Killing him instantly!
The fact that the winged lion was hidden by Xuan Hao along with their close proximity to the Sect Master of the Ghost Howl Sect and its use of the wind domain to increase the speed of its paw. Resulted in Xuan Hao having no chance to stop the winged lion from killing the Sect Master of the Ghost Howl Sect.
""…""
The entire thing happened way too quickly and both Chu Yang and Qing Yi, who were about to try and use their identity to intimidate him, were shocked speechless at the sight of a giant paw suddenly appearing out of thin air before smashing the Sect Master of the Ghost Howl Sect to death.
"…"
Xuan Hao was no better than his two disciples, as he saw the winged lion looking up at him with a proud look on its face.
Roar~!
"You did well…"
With an expression that screamed to be praised for having done something good, Xuan Hao could only praise it reluctantly…
""Master!?""
Descending down from the sky in front of his two shocked disciples, Xuan Hao felt a bit saddened over the fact that he wouldn't get a chance to find out what the Sect Master of the Ghost Howl Sect had wanted to do to his two disciples.
The only thing he found out about was that he wanted to bring them back for his son to deal with, who was most likely the young master his system had mentioned and the fact that Chu Yang and Qing Yi had been adventuring with someone else…
"Can one of you two explain to me how you ended up having someone in the Nascent Soul Realm chase after you…?"
Glancing over both his disciple who slowly recovered from seeing the Sect Master of the Ghost Howl Sect suddenly being killed in front of them, Xuan Hao asked in a slightly stern tone.
No matter what, if he had not arrived in time, his two disciples might have lost their lives!
"Yes master! So it started like this…"
Listening to Chu Yang as he slowly began to recount their adventure through the River Sect's territory along with their new friend from the River Sect called Huang Yongyu, Xuan Hao began understanding what had happened.
At the same time, he also realized that the Nascent Soul Realm Expert from the Ghost Howl Sect still had no clue that his two disciples were a part of the Flying Sword Sect up to the moment of his death…
From his point of view, his son had just randomly been schemed against by his disciples along with the person from the River Sect…
Why does it feel like my disciples are in the wrong here…?
Going over everything Chu Yang had told him, Xuan Hao suddenly felt like his two disciples were in the wrong by randomly leading a horde of hundreds of blue spider demon beasts into the group of people from the Ghost Howl Sect...
Even worse, the reason why they had to do that in the first place was to escape the horde of blue spiders that the disciple from the River Sect had angered after accidently stepping on a royal blue spider child…
At least according to what he had told his two disciples…
No matter how I look at it, it feels like the disciple from the River Sect is trying to instigate a conflict between the Flying Sword Sect and the Ghost Howl Sect, or he is just the unluckiest person I ever encountered!
Thinking about this, Xuan Hao narrowed his eyes dangerously for short moment.
"Should we meet up with that friend of yours and see if he is fine?"
Nodding their heads upon remembering how they had promised Huang Yongyu that they would ask their sect for help, Chu Yang and Qing Yi both gave a description of his cultivation realm along with his appearance and soon, Xuan Hao used his divine sense to search through the entire Pure Heart City for him.
"…"
However, the scene he saw through his divine sense after finding the person in question, caught him slightly off guard, as a gagged and beaten-up Huang Yongyu was thrown onboard a large ship before the ship began moving towards the Pure Heart Island
Maybe he was just an unlucky person…?

Chapter 355 - Back To The Pure Heart Island!
After having parted ways with Chu Yang and Qing Yi back at the Pure Heart Island, Huang Yongyu had rushed to leave before anxiously waiting for both of them to show up at the small dock of the Pure Heart City.
Only after having met up with the two of them and making sure that they were safe did he part ways with them as Chu Yang and Qing Yi made their way back to their sect, while he made his way back to his River Sect.
Hopeful about the future after hearing how Chu Yang and Qing Yi were willing to inform their sect about his River Sect's situation.
Given how the Flying Sword Sect had normally acted regarding such situations in the past, Huang Yongyu was almost certain that the Flying Sword Sect would lend his River Sect a hand with at least driving those sects out of his Rive Sect's territory…
"I really hope they will be able to help out…" Huang Yongyu muttered to himself as he went through several different alleys and somewhat hidden paths inside the Pure Heart City.
Since young, Huang Yongyu had spent a lot of time inside the Pure Heart City. Back then, while those sects like the Ghost Howl Sect was indeed still encroaching on their territory, they had not yet managed to take control of the Pure Heart City away from the River Sect and it was only after several random accidents happening to the disciples of the River Sect whenever they travelled between the River Sect and the Pure Heart City, that caused the River Sect to begin withdrawing their people from the Pure Heart City.
Even a bystander could see who was behind the accidents happening to the disciples of the River Sect, but the River Sect had no way to deal with them!
The main reason for this, was due to the fact that the people causing these accidents were often bandits from outside the territory of the River Sect, that the sects had paid handsomely to come and harass the disciples of the River Sect.
That is not to say that the River Sect didn't retaliate against the bandits…
The problem was that new bandits unaware of what had happened to the past bandits kept appearing, so with no way to deal with the constant loss of disciples to these bandits, the River Sect decided to give up the Pure Heart City a few years ago and the sects have jointly taken control of it since then…
Clenching his hands angrily upon remembering how those sects had shamelessly wandered into the Pure Heart City as the River Sect was leaving, Huang Yongyu felt his anger towards those sects rise.
"Hehe, they really got what they deserved earlier~" Suddenly remembering how he had managed to cause an entire horde of blue spider to attack the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect along with the large expedition force of the Ghost Howl Sect, Huang Yongyu could not help chuckling happily.
Even if it had just been an accident on his part, he still felt good knowing how much trouble he had ended up causing the Ghost Howl Sect.
They deserved it!
"Is that so…?"
"Ah…" Hearing an angry voice suddenly echo out behind him, Huang Yongyu froze on the spot before slowly turning around only to be met with the smile of an older Ghost Howl Sect disciple along with another two Ghost Howl Sect disciples standing a little behind him.
"So, the attack on our Ghost Howl Sect was your doing? It's well deserved? Huh?"
"Haha, I think you misheard me, I-"
"Get him boys! Remember to keep him alive for our young master to deal with personally!"
Whoosh!
Before Huang Yongyu could even react, the three disciples of the Ghost Howl Sect had already sealed off his path of escape as they began attacking him. Even worse, all of them were way older than him and had similarly reached the Foundation Establishment Realm!
The oldest among them had even reached the middle stages of the Foundation Establishment Realm!
Bang!
Crack~
As Huang Yongyu was one-sidedly beaten up by the three Ghost Howl Sect disciples, he soon lost consciousness and faint after being punched into the stone paved road beneath him.
"Hm, he is weaker than expected…"
"Doesn't matter, let's take him with us to the young master! I'm sure he will be pleased with us catching one of the people who schemed against him!"
"True, let's head out immediately! I heard that another of our ships will be leaving soon! If we run fast enough, we should be able to catch it!"
Whoosh!
Ignoring the surrounding people that had gathered to see what the ruckus was all about, one of the Ghost Howl Sect's disciples flung the unconscious Huang Yongyu over his shoulder before the group of three made their way in the direction of the Pure Heart City's dock.
…
The following scene played out just like Xuan Hao had seen through his divine sense, as Huang Yongyu had been gagged before being transported across the Pure Heart Lake towards the Pure Heart Island.
"Looks like that friend of yours was caught by the Ghost Howl Sect…"
"We have to help him! If the Ghost Howl Sect finds out he is part of the River Sect… There is no way he gets out alive!"
"And you think he will get out alive if he was not a part of the River Sect?!"
Watching as both his disciples looked up at him pleadingly wanting to save their new friend, Xuan Hao only let out a sigh as he waved his hand before his disciples began floating up into the air alongside him.
"No need to worry, he is still on his way towards the Pure Heart Island and is only unconscious at the moment…"
Seeing both his disciples let out a sigh of relief upon hearing that Huang Yongyu was still fine, Xuan Hao decided not to disclose the fact that he had been beaten up as it might cause both his disciples to grow more anxious.
It was better for them to save him first instead of having his disciples be worried along the way…
… The original appearance of this chapter can be found at Ñøvlß1n.
At the same time Huang Yongyu was being transported towards the Pure Heart Island and Xuan Hao was about to take his two disciples to follow, an old man Qing Yi would be all too familiar with appeared at the centre of the Pure Heart Island.
"Are you sure the thing you talked about is really in here…?" Bai Hua, the former head of the Bai family glanced questioningly down towards a large opening leading deep underground with a cautious look on his face.
Ever since he had left the Bai family back then and stumbled upon the ring with the soul remnant of an ancient cultivation powerhouse that had fallen down from the sky, he had adventured across the territory of the Flying Sword Sect on foot.
Under the guidance of the soul remnant of the ancient expert inside the ring, he had managed to break through to the Half-Step into the Nascent Soul Realm.
The main reason he had come to the Pure Heart Island, was because the soul had told him there was some kind of rare natural treasure inside that could promote the strength of his soul, while at the same time help him break through to the Nascent Soul Realm!
Bai Hua had been ecstatic upon hearing this and had made his way to the Pure Heart Island without waiting, it was only after arriving that he had realized that a strong local sect called the Ghost Howl Sect was currently leading a large expedition force towards the centre of the Pure Heart Island!
Given this information, Bai Hua was almost certain that their reason for doing this was the same as him!
They were also after the natural treasure found at the centre of the Pure Heart Island!
"Yes, this should be the place, I feel the aura from the Pure Heart Spiritual Water inside! This is Mystic Grade spiritual water! Just drinking a tiny amount would allow your soul to evolve to a higher level! Now let's go before those people from the Ghost Howl Sect shows up!"
The ecstatic voice from the soul remnant inside of the ring could be heard. Hurrying Bai Hua to enter the large opening in the ground.
"…"
Bai Hua didn't say anything in response and just looked around him before jumping into the large opening in the ground.
Even if he wanted to trust the soul remnant inside the ring, Bai Hua had clearly felt a sharp change in the voice of the soul remnant the moment it had discovered the rare natural treasure at the Pure Heart Islands.
No matter what, Bai Hua was not some unexperienced young person who would just listen to everything the so-called dead expert in the ring told him.
After all, even someone in the Nascent Soul Realm would have the ability to possess someone's body to quickly recover after losing their own physical body. Let alone someone above the Nascent Soul Realm!
Bai Hua had increasingly felt that the soul remnant inside the ring became more and more untrustworthy the more he talked with it over the past few days…
Maybe it was going to attempt possessing him after strengthening through the use of the Mystic Grade Spiritual Water…?
Bai Hua could not help having such thoughts as he began trying to think up ways to prevent something like that happening.
Even thinking about just throwing the ring away, but the benefits it brought him in the form of it teaching him about cultivation was hard to give up, as he had managed to increase his cultivation base after remaining stagnate for so many years!
Whoosh~
While Bai Hua was struggling with what to do, he slowly made his way deeper into the large opening into the ground at the centre of the Pure Heart Island…

Chapter 356 - Huang Yongyu's Suffering...
"He was caught by the Ghost Howl Sect!?""
Chu Yang exclaimed in shock closely followed by Qing Yi after hearing how the Ghost Howl Sect had caught Huang Yongyu and were in the process of transporting him back to the Pure Heart Island where the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect was located.
"We have to save him!"
Seeing both his disciples suddenly turn around to look at him full of expectation, Xuan Hao could not refuse both of them. "Fine, but we have to hurry before he ends up meting the young master that you three offended…"
""Thank you, Master!""
Both Chu Yang and Qing Yi happily smiled as they heard their master's answer, with their master around, there was no way the Ghost Howl Sect would be able to do anything to them!
Not to mention their sect master who had suddenly met his end due to the massive paw that had suddenly appeared out of thin air before flattening said sect master.
"By the way master… What was that massive paw from earlier? Is it perhaps one of master's techniques!?" Having remembered the giant paw from earlier, Chu Yang could not help himself as he asked Xuan Hao.
Roar!
The winged lion, who had not been spotted by Chu Yang and Qing Yi yet. Roared angrily towards Chu Yang upon hearing how its majestic paw had been reduced to a mere technique!
"A lion with wi-"
"Wha-what is that cute little creature master!?"
Interrupting Chu Yang before he could finish his sentence, Qing Yi jumped in front of him before focusing her gaze on the cute looking winged lion, that had by now taken up a resting spot on one of Xuan Hao's shoulders.
"A winged lion demon beast I picked up and tamed."
"This little one is really a demon beast? Is it perhaps the one responsible for the paw attack earlier!?"
"Yes, before coming here, I was at the Main Peak of the Shattered Star Peaks and…"
Not hiding anything about the strength of the winged lion or where he encountered it, Xuan Hao told both his disciples how he had managed to tame it on the Main Peak of the Shattered Star Peaks.
"Wow… So, the winged lion is actually a demon beast in the Domain Lord Realm… Does it have a name yet?"
"No."
"How about Fluffy Paws?" Hearing that the winged lion demon beast had no name yet, Qing Yi excitedly presented a fitting name she had come up with.
Roar!
Not wanting to end up with that kind of embarrassing name, the winged lion angrily roared at Qing Yi to show off its clear disapproval of such non majestic name.
"I think the little one likes it!"
ROAR!
"Hah… Let's go out to save that friend of yours first for now…" Watching the interaction between Qing Yi and the winged lion demon beast, Xuan Hao decided to return focus back on their friend who had been caught by the Ghost Howl Sect and was currently on a ship moving towards the Pure Heart Island.
Whoosh~
With a wave of his hand, Xuan Hao used his domain to lift up both his disciples into the air before flying in the direction of the Pure Heart Island.
"Wha-what just happened?!"
"Who was that?!"
"A King level Expert!"
Watching the entire thing from the side, the guards standing in front of the gate along with the people trying to enter the Pure Heart City, were all left shocked at the scene they had just seen.
Flying was something only people in the Domain Lord Realm could do! Or as most normal people in the Ewaria Continent called it, the King level!
To see someone at that level suddenly appear had caused all of them to be filled with awe! Just seeing someone in the Nascent Soul Realm was rare enough, let alone someone above that!
Only after a few minutes passed did everyone resume what they were doing and stopped looking towards the direction that Xuan Hao had left in. All of them still left wondering what could have caused some like that to suddenly appear at the Pure Heart Lake…
…
W-where am I…?
Huang Yongyu looked around himself with a confused expression on his face. Not really understanding what happened to him before observing his surroundings for a little longer.
I'm on a ship, inside a small storage room… Likely on its way towards the Pure Heart Island…
Remembering how he had been beaten up by the three disciples of the Ghost Howl Sect and was currently on his way back towards the Pure Heart Island that he had just managed to escape, Huang Yongyu could not help feeling a sense of helplessness creep up inside him.
The main reason for this, was because he knew just how ruthless the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect was.
Rumours had it that the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect had a hobby of torturing anyone that looked at him the wrong way, those who went against him would have an even worse fate!
Even without them knowing that he was a part of the River Sect, Huang Yongyu could still easily imagine how painful his death would be at the hands of someone like that! All he could do now, was hope that the rumours of the young master's ruthlessness were exaggerated by others…
No! I have to find a way out of here before I reach the Pure Heart Island!
Finding himself beginning to give up hope of escaping, Huang Yongyu quickly composed himself and stopped thinking about the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect.
For now, the most important thing was to look for a way to escape!
At least he had not been bound with anything other than a normal rope. Nothing he couldn't easily break out of with his strength. The problem was how to get back to the Pure Heart City or at least the shore of the Pure Heart Lake… After all, the lake was known to be filled with ferocious demon beasts!
Creak~
Just as Huang Yongyu was thinking of a way to escape the ship, he found himself on, a creaking noise could be heard coming from a door located to his right side followed by the sound of a few laughing voices, as the group of three people who beat him up entered the small storage room.
Should I try to fight them or pretend I haven't woken up yet!?
Finding himself in a troublesome situation the instant he woke up, Huang Yongyu decided to pretend that he hadn't woken up yet.
No matter what, he had already lost to them once. Fighting again would just end up with him being knocked out again and the next time he woke up, he might end up face to face with the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect!
"Haha, just look at this guy, we only beat him up a bit and he still haven't woken up yet, I told you there was nothing to worry about!" Laughing with a smile as he said this before kicking Huang Yongyu who had laid in the location that he had woken up in, the disciple from the Ghost Howl Sect smiled towards the oldest among the three disciples.
"Yeah, it looks like you are right, I worried for nothing… Let's go back, we will just get him when we arrive at the Pure Heart Island."
"Haha, senior brother, you worry too much! Even if he woke up, where would he go? Jump into the lake and get eaten by the demon beasts? Haha!"
Bang! The original appearance of this chapter can be found at Ñøvlß1n.
"Ah…"
As the group of three directly left the small storage room after confirming that Huang Yongyu was still unconscious, the person in question let out a groan of pain muffled by the rope that they had used to gag him before sitting up again.
The kick from earlier by the Ghost Howl Sect disciple, had been to his nether region and the sheer pain almost caused him to scream loudly before jumping up to violent beat up the person who did it.
The only thing keeping him from doing this, was the fact that he knew that he was no match for the three of them. Not to mention if other disciples of the Ghost Howl Sect on the ship came rushing over to help out…
"I need to find a way out of here!" removing the rope used to gag him, Huang Yongyu easily broke free from the rope that was used to bind him before beginning to once again inspect the small storage room.
The storage room was not used for anything precious and was mostly filled with all sorts of bread, meat and vegetables… Not really anything that would be able to help him escape his current situation… Or maybe it would…
Feeling a plan slowly take shape inside his mind, Huang Yongyu glanced around the small storage room with a smile on his face.
At this point in time, just waiting to be delivered before the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect was not something Huang Yongyu wanted to do!
If he succeeded, he might even have chance to live!
Even in the worst case scenario, he would at least be able to get revenge on those three disciples who beat him up…

Chapter 357 - Huang Yongyu's Escape... Again!
Flying through the air towards the direction of the ship that Huang Yongyu had been placed on before it left the small dock of the Pure Heart City towards the Pure Heart Island, Xuan Hao suddenly blinked both his eyes in surprise upon sensing the ship suddenly coming to a halt around the midway point between Pure Heart Island and the Pure Heart City.
Normally, something like that would not happen and after further inspection with his divine sense, Xuan Hao quickly realized that the reason that the ship had stopped, was not so much because the people onboard had wanted it to stop… On the other hand, it had come to a stop due to a large demon beast taking on the shape of a large shark that had bitten into the ship.
Forcing it to come to a halt as the disciples from the Ghost Howl Sect on board frantically tried their best to get the demon beast shark to let go of the boat before other demon beasts began noticing what was happening.
At the same time, Xuan Hao noticed one person doing the complete opposite at the other end of the ship, as he dumped large amounts of different kinds of food into the lake. From normal vegetables to raw meat.
Going by Chu Yang and Qing Yi's description, that person should be the person from the River Sect that they wanted to save… Huang Yongyu!
"…"
Glancing over towards his two disciples and seeing both of them just looking around at the lake water passing by below them full of wonder, Xuan Hao decided to slow down his speed, so as to not arrive too quickly at the location of the ship.
Xuan Hao was really interested in seeing what kind of plan the disciple from the River Sect had come up with and how he planned to escape from the soon to be sinking ship…
After all, no matter how hard the disciples from the Ghost Howl Sect tried to deal with the shark demon beast, they would soon have to deal with even more demon beast and also stronger demon beasts!
The Pure Heart Lake was the territory of the demon beasts and when discovered, there was close to no way out.
This was also one of the reasons Xuan Hao was curious about how Huang Yongyu would escape his current predicament.
The River Sect had controlled the Pure Heart Lake for a long time, so he should at least have a few secret methods up his sleeve…
Observing Huang Yongyu's predicament from afar without his two disciples having any clue about their friend's current dangerous situation, Xuan Hao speed slowed down even further.
The only reason Chu Yang and Qing Yi didn't discover anything was due to the fact that they were too absorbed in watching the lake below. Looking out to see if they could spot any of the demon beasts hidden beneath the surface.
…
Splash!
"That should be the last of it… Now to find a way off this ship…"
Watching as the last bit of raw meat stored inside the small storage room with him was pushed into the lake water below him, Huang Yongyu smiled cheekily as he watched several shadows cautiously approaching the food floating just beside the ship before happily beginning to feast.
Bang!
Soon after, the still hungry demon beasts in the lake below began attacking the ship. All according to his plan!
With this, the ship would soon be overwhelmed by the endless amount of demon beasts in the Pure Heart Lake!
Huang Yongyu knew very well that the Pure Heart Lake was extremely dangerous and once the demon beasts found a ship floating on the surface, there would be no way to save the ship!
The River Sect understood this very well and had come up with several ways to prevent something like that from happening, as giving up the precious resources on the Pure Heart Island was simply not an option for them…
One of the methods they had come up with, was a special coating of sorts applied to the underside of the ship or boat. Making it harder for the demon beasts inside the Pure Heart Lake to spot it.
But this was not the only method the River Sect had come up with to safely cross the Pure Heart Lake, just the one that most other people knew about as they had made it public. For this reason, it was also this method that the sects like the Ghost Howl Sect used to travel between the Pure Heart City and the Pure Heart Island.
The other methods were something only the core members of the River Sect knew about!
"I really hope this works…"
Remembering the method, he had been taught about by his father when he was still young and had the opportunity to freely go to and from the Pure Heart Island, Huang Yongyu felt extremely nervous.
It had already been over 10 years since he had last used that method and he had no idea whether it would work or not, as he had never really gotten to train it in the first place and now that the River Sect no longer controlled the Pure Heart Island, there was no need for him to use it either. Focusing on his cultivation seemed to have been a way better option back then. Even if he now lamented over the fact that he had not spent any time on training like his parents had told him to do…
BANG!
Watching as a large shark demon beast suddenly appeared on the other side of the ship and violently bit down before violently trying to drag the ship below the surface, Huang Yongyu knew he wouldn't have a long time left before the even more terrifying demon beasts began showing up.
"Wai- How are you out here? Is this your doing?!"
Just as Huang Yongyu was about to make his escape, a group of Ghost Howl Sect disciples suddenly came rushing out and spotted him along with the few dozen empty containers used to store food just next to him.
"Farewell, good luck dealing with the demon beasts!"
Whoosh!
Not planning to wait for the Ghost Howl Sect disciples to recover from their shock before catching him again, Huang Yongyu ran away from the spot where he had dumped the food into the lake before jumping off the ship and into the lake water below a little further away.
Hoping that there weren't any demon beasts just below him.
Splash!
Hitting the water, Huang Yongyu didn't wait around for even a second as he hurriedly began executing his sect's secret technique and before long, Huang Yongyu's body began merging together with lake water before completely disappearing from view.
Neither the Ghost Howl Sect's disciples looking at him from the ship or the demon beasts rushing towards him from below, had any clue what happened as he seemingly disappeared into thin air.
Swish~
At the same time, a small movement could be seen on the surface of the water where Huang Yongyu had been just a moment ago before disappearing into the distance.
The technique in question was called Lake Shadow and it allowed Huang Yongyu to borrow the natural power flowing through the Pure Heart Lake to hide himself from others.
The technique was truly powerful when used on the Pure Heart Lake, but was completely useless outside of the Pure Heart Lake, this was the main reason Huang Yongyu hadn't bothered to continue learning the technique after his sect lost control over the Pure Heart Lake…
Now, he could barely execute the Lake Shadow technique and very clearly knew that it would not be able to last for a long time.
Huang Yongyu's plan was to get as far away from the ship before he could no longer keep up the Lake Shadow technique. NvεlB¡n: Inspiring Minds, Illuminating Souls.
He hoped that the demon beasts below would ignore him and instead focus their attention on the ship from the Ghost Howl Sect instead.
This way, he might have a chance to make his way back to the shore of the Pure Heart Lake…
…
"How amazing…"
Xuan Hao could not help but sigh to himself in amazement when he watched Huang Yongyu use the Lake Shadow technique.
Compared to the demon beasts swimming past Huang Yongyu completely oblivious of his existence, Xuan Hao could still clearly see Huang Yongyu and quickly understood how he borrowed the natural power flowing through the Pure Heart Lake to hide himself from both the people on the side of the Ghost Howl Sect and the demon beasts.
The reason why the technique amazed Xuan Hao, however, was not this.
Instead, it was because he very clearly knew that borrowing power from the natural world was something one would only be able to start doing upon reaching the Nascent Soul Realm. Mainly due to the massive stress doing something like that would cause on the soul.
After reaching the Domain Lord Realm, Xuan Hao's control over the natural world increased to a new level. In a sense, his domain was just a manifestation of a small part of the natural world that he had managed to comprehend. Outside his sword and ice domain, there were still many more things left for him to understand…
Not to mention, he was far from fully understanding either of his two domains full potential… Only just recently having begun comprehending the power of a domain.
The Lake Shadow technique used by Huang Yongyu was similar to a Domain Lord using his domain to hide! The thing that amazed Xuan Hao was the fact someone in the Foundation Establishment Realm could do something only a Domain Lord would normally be capable of!

Chapter 358 - The Centre Of The Pure Heart Lake
"Wha-"
Whoosh!
Before Huang Yongyu could even manage to react to what was happening, he suddenly found himself being dragged into the air before finding himself face to face with the two disciples from the Flying Sword Sect that he had just parted ways with a short time ago.
"Are you okay?"
"Looks like you got beaten up quite badly…"
Happily waving at their friend from the River Sect before discovering the different wounds that had appeared after his fight with the disciples from the Ghost Howl Sect, Chu Yang and Qing Yi both asked out of concern.
"I-I'm fine, but-"
How had he ended up floating mid-air with Chu Yang and Qing Yi all of a sudden?
Just as Huang Yongyu was about to ask this, he noticed Xuan Hao standing a short distance away from him with his hands behind his back and a serene look on his face.
"You are Huang Yongyu?"
"Y-yes!"
Hearing him talk, Huang Yongyu felt himself become extremely nervous all of a sudden when he felt an invisible pressure sweep over him, that almost prevented him from speaking.
Even if he had no idea who Xuan Hao was, he still realized that he was an extremely terrifying cultivator and given that he was together with Chu Yang and Qing Yi, Huang Yongyu quickly deduced that he should be a member of the Flying Sword Sect's older generation.
Was the Flying Sword Sect always this scary…?
Thinking this, Huang Yongyu quickly looked away from Xuan Hao with a fearful expression on his face. Some experts would find the act of someone looking straight at them offensive and he dared not continue doing that in case Xuan Hao was one such person.
"I heard a bit about you and your sect from my disciples on my way here and will inform the Flying Sword Sect's elder in charge of these kind of things, to look into it and find a fitting solution for your sect's current predicament."
Understanding how nervous Huang Yongyu was to face him, Xuan Hao didn't say much and just informed him about how he had decided to bring up the matter of the River Sect and the sects ganging up on it to the elder in charge of these kind of things.
In other words, Elder Song…
"Hm?"
Suddenly detecting a terrifying aura from the centre of the Pure Heart Island, Xuan Hao narrowed his both his eyes.
Something about the aura was familiar, he just couldn't put his finger on what it was…
"Chu Yang, Qing Yi, I will set you off at the shore of the Pure Heart Lake. After that, you should head back to the sect on your own… It seems like there is something I will have to check out personally…"
Not saying anything more, Xuan Hao quickly rushed back to the shore of the Pure Heart Island where he put down both his disciples along with a still confused Huang Yongyu, who still had no idea what had just happened.
One moment he was praying that no demon beast would notice him as his Lake Shadow technique was about to expire and the next moment, he found himself at the shore of the Pure Heart Lake several miles away from his previous location.
Whoosh~
Xuan Hao did not stay with his two disciples and Huang Yongyu after dropping them off before he rushed towards the Pure Heart Island where he had felt the terrifying, yet familiar aura just a moment ago.
Dropping off the winged lion and instructing it to make sure his two disciples were safe in case anyone else from the Ghost Howl Sect or the other sects decided to find trouble with them!
Roar! Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
The winged lion was clearly not happy about this, as it had also felt the strong aura from the Pure Heart Island and also wanted to go, but what could it do about this… Xuan Hao had told it to stay and protect the two weak humans, it had already established a blood pact with Xuan Hao and going against him was not a good idea…
Roar~
With a somewhat reluctant roar, the winged lion decided to just give up as it flew up from the ground before settling at the top of Chu Yang's head. Ignoring everything around it before closing its two eyes and going to sleep.
Not like those two weak humans would be able to find anything interesting for it to do in the first place. Sleeping was the best option! With its domain, it would easily be able to detect if anything dangerous happened… Even if it was asleep!
"…"
Chu Yang didn't even manage to say goodbye to his master before he had left, and the winged lion settled on top of his head before going to sleep.
"How unfair!"
At the same time, he was also met with the jealous eyes of Qing Yi and the still questioning eyes of Huang Yongyu, who wanted to understand what had just happened…
…
A few minutes earlier at the centre of the Pure Heart Island, the expedition force of the Ghost Howl Sect had arrived in front of the large opening in the ground just in time to barely see Bai Hua jumping into the large opening in the ground.
"Someone just entered the Heart of the Lake!"
"No need to worry young master, there is no way he will be able to survive! There is a reason why the River Sect hasn't dared to dwell too deeply into that place. Even with them occupying the area for the past five hundred years! Now let's get going, we still need to get the thing that the Sect Master needs to recover!"
Not showing even a single ounce of worry like his young master did, the elder patted him on the shoulder before quietly informing him about the reason for their visit to the Pure Heart Island.
"Yes! We have to get the Spiritual Water so my father can recover! At that time, there is no way the River Sect or even those allies of ours will be able to stop us from taking control of the surrounding territory! We might even end up becoming one of the top 5 sects inside the Flying Sword Sect's territory!" Smiling full of eagerness as he said this, the young master could barely contain his anticipation of his bright future of being the young master of such a powerful sect.
"Move out!"
Not before long, the Ghost Howl Sect's expeditionary force also entered the opening in the ground known as the Heart of the Lake.
The main reason behind the name, was because the centre of the entire Pure Heart Lake also being the centre of the Pure Heart Island!

Chapter 359 - Four Paths
Having left his disciples and the winged lion behind at the shore of the Pure Heart Lake to make their way back to the Flying Sword Sect for themselves, Xuan Hao didn't bother holding back in the slightest. Flying through the air and easily crossing the distance between the Pure Heart City and the Pure Heart Island within a minute.
"This should be the place…"
Arriving in front of a large opening in the ground where the terrifying aura that he had felt earlier came from, Xuan Hao grew a bit cautious. Using both his domains to careful scan the surroundings for any clues that might help him figure out what had happened earlier.
"A large group of people seem to have entered around half an hour ago…"
Narrowing his eyes as he discovered a few lingering traces from the expeditionary force of the Ghost Howl Sect, Xuan Hao soon began observing the opening itself.
Outside of just being a large hole in the ground. The opening had four different rivers that ran into it from four different directions. Ending up forming four different waterfalls that fell down into a large body of water located on the bottom of the opening in the ground.
Whoosh~
Moving down through the opening, Xuan Hao soon discovered that there were four different paths, each of them hidden behind a waterfall formed from the rivers above.
"…"
Please don't be a maze…
Feeling that he already knew where this whole thing was going, Xuan Hao gave a silent prayer as he entered the northern path.
"Wha-"
Letting out a breath of relief and at the same time amazement, as he found himself at the entrance of what could only be described as an underground ancient temple of some long-forgotten water related god.
What had once been walls filled with beautiful murals, had long since decayed under the long passage of time. Only leaving behind the pillars supporting the ancient underground temple decorated with different water serpents coiling around them in different stages of collapse.
The water serpents that decorated the large pillars several meters thick, was one of the reasons why Xuan Hao believed the ancient temple had belonged to some water related god.
However, there was an even more obvious thing pointing towards this and that was the large mural located at the back of the ancient temple.
Even though it had been damaged like the rest of the murals that covered the side walls of the temple, Xuan Hao could still make out a few things from it.
One being the fact that the bottom half of the mural seemed to depict an endless ocean, while the top half should have been the god of the temple itself.
Sadly, it was not possible to see the appearance of the god in question, as the top half of the mural was far more damaged than the bottom half. Making it impossible for Xuan Hao to begin guessing what the water god looked like.
Searching through the ancient underground temple that the northern path had led to, Xuan Hao soon left after finding. Leaving the ancient temple to explore the three other paths.
Only to be met with the exact same thing, the difference being the element of the god that was worshipped.
The southern path was a fire god. The eastern path an earth god and the western path a wind god.
Exploring the four different ancient temples, Xuan Hao realized that all of them were completely empty. Not even a single spirit stone could be found inside of any of the four and at the same time, he had no clue where the people who had entered before him had disappeared to…
Even scanning the surroundings with his divine sense strengthened by his domain, did not lead to anything.
All he could ever get to, was that the aura of the people that came before him disappeared into thin air after reaching the middle of the opening...
"Maybe it's a guardian formation of some sort…"
Looking at the centre of the large hole Xuan Hao was lost in thought. The water below the centre began to move out of the way before a circular entrance shrouded in a thick mist leading to somewhere unknown a few meters wide began to form.
Splash!
"Hah… I esca-"
Staring unblinkingly as a man dressed like a disciple from the Ghost Howl Sect crawled out of the circular entrance that had formed in the body of water before moving his exhausted body into the water with a happy smile on his face, Xuan Hao suddenly made eye contact with the person now floating in the water below him. The original appearance of this chapter can be found at Ñøvlß1n.
"…"
"…"
The man who had just come out from the circular entrance similar to the entrance of a secret realm that formed in the water. Looked up at Xuan Hao floating only in the air only a few meters away from him before a terrified expression slowly began to appear on his face.
"S-senior…!"
Doing his best to sound respectful, the disciple from the Ghost Howl Sect shivered all over as he called out to Xuan Hao. Hoping that the senior floating a few meters away from him wouldn't just outright kill him.
Even if he had no idea what the Domain Lord Realm was, the disciple could still easily understand that the person floating just a few meters away from him, was an existence that far surpassed even his sect master!
"What did-"
Just as Xuan Hao was about to ask the Ghost Howl Sect about what had happened to him and what was beyond the circular entrance shrouded in a thick mist that prevented his divine sense and domain from piercing through, the circular entrance started shrinking at a speed visible to the naked eye. Given a few more seconds and the circular entrance to somewhere unknown at the centre of the lake would be closed again.
Whoosh!
Not thinking about the disciple from the Ghost Howl Sect, Xuan Hao directly rushed through the entrance shrouded in a thick mist.. Not knowing what awaited him on the other side.

Chapter 360 - Mysterious Place Beyond The Mist~
Fwoosh~
Making his way through the thick mist that covered the circular entrance that had formed at the centre of the water, Xuan Hao soon found himself in the middle of a large corridor.
The corridor itself was not too different from the four ancient temples he had seen above. Only larger and more detailed. Allowing it to give off a more majestic felling compared to the other four temples he had seen above.
Another thing of note was the fact that the corridor showed way fewer signs of decay compared to the found temples located above. Likely due to the fact that the ones above were way easier to access compared to the temple he currently found himself inside of.
After all, even with his current cultivation realm and the help of his domain, Xuan Hao still had no idea how to reach make the entrance to the temple appear…
If not for the help of the Ghost Howl Sect disciples so graciously opening the entrance for him and allowing him to enter, he would have likely ended up just giving up on finding out where the expeditionary force of the Ghost Howl Sect had disappeared to.
Now that he was thinking about it, where is the expeditionary force from the Ghost Howl Sect…?
Realizing that he hadn't met anyone from the Ghost Howl Sect since entering the corridor where the Ghost Howl Sect had escaped from, Xuan Hao could not help but grow cautious as he began more thoroughly inspecting the corridor that he was inside of.
The only thing standing out was a small trail of blood on the floor of the corridor. Likely having stemmed from the Ghost Howl Sect disciple that had opened up the entrance in the first place…
Looking down at the trail of blood, Xuan Hao looked back up at where the entrance to the corridor had been before it had disappeared behind him.
It looked like he would have to look for another way out…
"Hm…?"
Just as Xuan Hao was about to follow the direction that the trail of blood that the Ghost howl Sect disciple had left behind, he suddenly felt the terrifying aura that he had first picked up on in the air above the Pure Heart Lake.
The only problem being that it came from the opposite direction that the trail of blood was in…
To follow the trail of blood leading to somewhere unknown, or to find out who or what the terrifying aura belonged to?
Whoosh~
Without much thinking, Xuan Hao turned around and headed towards the location that the powerful aura had come from.
Even if it was terrifying, Xuan Hao had clearly felt that the aura seemed far weaker than when it had the first time it erupted.
If at first the aura was something way beyond anything he had ever felt in the Domain Lord Realm. Now the aura seemed more comparable, if not a little weaker than the winged lion at its peak. Giving Xuan Hao more than enough confidence to deal with the origin of the aura if it came down to it.
…
Xuan Hao, who was making his way through the corridor towards the origin of the aura. Discovered that the corridor was far longer than he had expected, even after increasing his speed, he still took over five minutes to reach the end of the corridor.
The area that he arrived at after reaching the end, was a large open space with a dense forest in front of him. Looking up, Xuan Hao could even see what looked like an artificial sky. All run by some kind of enormous ancient formation.
"Wha-"
Turning to look back towards the corridor he had just come from, Xuan Hao could not help letting out a surprised sound, as the corridor faded out of existence. Leaving him with no way back the way he came. Unless he could break through the formation that kept the entire thing running…
But just from the fact that he couldn't even sense the formation with his divine sense or domain in the first place. Gave Xuan Hao the impression that he would likely not have enough strength to do something like that…
Rustle~
"They must've been frightened from seeing someone just suddenly appear in front of them and are now running away…" Watching as several small animals that had been hiding or were eating in the surrounding forest run away fearfully after discovering that someone had suddenly appeared in the place, they were either hiding or getting something to eat.
"How weird… The qi is clearly so dense in here, but none of the surrounding animals have even reached the first stage of the Qi Condensation Realm…" Scanning his surroundings through his divine sense, Xuan Hao quickly discovered that none of the animals inside the dense forest had any form of cultivation.
All of them remaining regular animals even with the qi being dense enough to allow even someone with no talent in cultivation to reach the Foundation Establishment Realm within a few years.
Not thinking too much about the weird phenomenon, Xuan Hao paid it no mind as he continued forward towards the location of the powerful aura, he could clearly feel that he was getting closer.
…
Meanwhile, in a deeper part of the dense forest Xuan Hao had just arrived in, the expedition force of the Ghost Howl Sect was fighting off a tide of monsters with the elders using several large-scale attacks all over the battlefield. Killing hordes of demon beasts in an instant.
But the demon beasts kept appearing like there was no end to them, causing heavy casualties on the side of the Ghost Howl Sect as blood sprayed into the air and the corpses of the weaker disciples slowly began covering the ground until only those at the Foundation Establishment Realm were left fighting. NvεlB¡n: Inspiring Minds, Illuminating Souls.
"Kill! Kill all these demon beasts!"
"We have to escape, there is no way for us to hold them back!"
"It's that man! He has something to do with all these demon beasts suddenly appearing and attacking us like this! If we don't kill him, there will be no end to these monsters!"
At the same time, Bai Hua was sitting fully concentrated in a meditative position inside a small pond located on top of a large altar.
"How dare you resist!? Just give up your body to me and stop fighting against it!" An arrogant voice suddenly echoed out from inside the body of Bai Hua sitting in a meditative position, as a barely visible silhouette of an elderly man manifested next to his body with a pissed off look on his face.
"Are you perhaps thinking about having those pitiful idiots come to your rescue? Or maybe you just want them to weaken me? Hehe, stop daydreaming, those insects are at most at the Core Formation Realm! The small horde of demon beasts I made from the local wildlife is more than enough for me to deal with them!" The silhouette floating next to Bai Hua mocked. Hoping that he would just give up and allow him to take over his body without struggling.
After all, even if he could take over the body, the soul remnant did not want to expend all its energy on the task and end up weakened for a period of time afterwards if it could be avoided.
Not only would that be extremely dangerous as someone much weaker than itself could kill it, but it also very clearly knew that its currently location was not really anywhere safe in the first place. Having a drawn-out fight for Bai Hua's body was not anything desirable…
"…"
"Tsk… If you really don't want to give up your body without resistance, don't expect me to be gentle!"
Fwoosh!
Seeing Bai Hua remain silent as he desperately tried absorbing the spiritual water below him to increase his soul strength and better ward off the invasion of the remnant soul, the silhouette disappeared back into his body and before long a stream of blood began trickling down from the corner of his mouth.
"Look! The man is about to succeed!"
"We have to stop him! If he successfully breaks through, we will all be dead!"
The people from the Ghost Howl Sect had no idea about the struggle happening on top of the altar and only thought Bai Hua was behind the horde of demon beasts that came over to attack them all of a sudden.
Feeling the powerful aura and seeing the precious spiritual water on top of the altar slowly being absorbed by him only resulted in further strengthening this belief.
"Looks like we won't be able to make it out of here alive… At least the young master managed to escape…"
Surrounded by over five berserk demon beasts at the Core Formation Realm, the elder who had been tasked with guarding the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect could not help smiling sadly to himself.
He had discovered the demon beasts only a few seconds before the rest of the expeditionary force and had used a large part of his strength to directly throw the young master out of the encirclement that had been forming around them at that time, while telling him to escape and not look back.
"At least I managed to repay the debt I owed for you saving my life back then…" Muttering this to himself as he watched even more Core Formation Realm demon beasts swarm over towards him, the elder slowly felt himself become weaker and weaker with each passing second before one of the demon beasts attacks managed to pass through his defences-
Swish!
And pierce through his heart. Instantly killing him.
The rest of the Ghost Howl Sect members didn't fare any better than their strongest elder, as they slowly began dying one by one.
Even if the demon beasts were not as strong as what their cultivation realm suggested, the sheer amount of demon beasts numbering in the thousands was simply way too much for them to handle with only a small expeditionary force of around a hundred people.
Not to mention they also had to deal with the blue spider horde earlier…

Chapter 361 - Sneak Attack!
"Hehe, that is the last of those annoying pests. Now there is no one left to disturb us!" The sinister voice from the soul remnant echoed out in triumph from inside Bai Hua's body, as the last person from the Ghost Howl Sect's expeditionary force fell to the ground before being consumed by the large horde of demon beasts that had formed a living wall around the altar.
Roar!
Screech!
ROAR!
Followed by the sinister laugh from the remnant soul, the demon beasts surrounding the altar suddenly fell onto the ground before turning into a pure red qi that slowly began flowing into Bai Hua's body.
Forcefully raising so many normal animals without any strength to the Foundation Establishment Realm and Core Formation Realm had drained most of the remnant soul's power.
After having dealt with the Ghost Howl Sect's people, there was no longer a need to keep the demon beasts around. Absorbing the qi that it had used back to speed up the process of taking over Bai Hua's body was by far the best option!
This way, the remnant soul would also be able to decrease the time that it was exposed to danger by staying inside the place called the Heart of the Lake by the locals…
"Soon… soon this body will be mine and I will once again be able to walk among the living!"
With Bai Hua feeling his soul grow weaker and weaker with each passing second, the crazed laughter of the remnant soul was the only thing keeping him awake enough to fight back.
…
Only a short distance away from the place where the battle between the Ghost Howl Sect's expeditionary force and the demon beasts enhanced and controlled by the remnant soul that was trying to take over Bai Hua's body, Xuan Hao slowly appeared seemingly out of thin air.
"Looks like I found out what happened to the Ghost Howl Sect, I guess that disciple from earlier should be the only one still left alive then…" Muttering this to himself as he gazed over towards the altar located in an opening inside the dense forest, Xuan Hao clearly felt the aura he had sensed back when he had been helping his disciples save Huang Yongyu.
The only difference was that he could also sense another person's aura seemingly merging together with the owner of the powerful aura!
No… Merging together would not be the correct word. Devoured, consumed, absorbed, these words would be way more fitting for that person's current situation…
Whoosh~
Deciding to observe the situation for now instead of just recklessly charging forward and revealing himself, Xuan Hao floated up in the air before looking over towards an elderly man located on top of the altar.
Sitting down in a meditative position with closed eyes and a small stream of blood continuously flowing out from both his eyes and mouth at the same time, even a normal person would realize that the old man was at the edge of death as his body looked like it would give in at any moment.
So, a remnant soul is trying to possess his body… But why go for such an old one when there were so many younger and more suitable bodies among the people from the Ghost Howl Sect… Unless there is something special about the old man's body?
Realizing that he was witnessing a long dead powerhouse in the process of attempting to take over a body to revive and live again, Xuan Hao decided not to act recklessly.
Given the strength of the aura he had felt back at the Pure Heart Lake, Xuan Hao had already realized that the remnant soul had once been someone above the Domain Lord Realm when he had still been alive.
Someone like that would have all kind of tricks and hidden cards up their sleeve after living for a long time, with all of this in mind, Xuan Hao carefully began preparing to launch a sure kill technique that would hopefully kill the remnant soul before it even realized what was happening.
Ignoring the remnant soul and allow it to take over the body and go on its way?
Doing something like that would spell disaster for the Flying Sword Sect and all the sects and kingdoms located nearby.
Why?
Well…
"Hahaha, after taking over your body and devouring your pathetic soul, I will make sure to devour a few people outside to recover my cultivation realm and return to my peak!"
The crazy rambles from the remnant soul constantly echoing out from inside the elderly man's body seemed to answer for itself…
Could someone at the realm of the remnant soul go insane?
Xuan Hao shivered at the thought of this, if someone above the Domain Lord Realm truly ended up going insane. The damage they could bring would be unimaginable if there weren't anybody present to stop them in time.
Even with his current cultivation realm, Xuan Hao would still easily be able to devastate an entire kingdom within a few days. Not to mention someone above the Domain Lord Realm…
Waiting around for another five minutes as the remnant soul neared the final step of the possession, Xuan Hao chose this moment when the remnant soul would be the most focused to strike.
Cling~
A serene metallic sound could barely be heard as a sword made out of sword qi manifested through his sword domain appeared in Xuan Hao's hand as he slashed down towards the man sitting cross legged on the altar.
As for whether or not the person currently in the process of being possessed would survive? This was simply not something Xuan Hao thought about. Given the strength of the remnant soul, Xuan Hao could simply not afford to hold back.
Swish!
The sound of the attack was close to non-existent. The Sword Shadow was by far Xuan Hao's best attack when it came to being stealthy and lethal at the same time and after having reached the Domain Lord Realm, his Sword Shadow seemed to have undergone some kind of evolution as it had almost perfectly merged into the surroundings while quickly approaching the elderly man on top of the altar.
"WHO!?" NvεlB¡n: Inspiring Minds, Illuminating Souls.
Only a few meters away from the elderly man on top of the altar, the remnant soul discovered the incoming attack and screamed loudly before interrupting the possession process and rushing out of Bai Hua's body to meet the attack as a sea of blood manifested behind it.
The sea of blood was terrifying beyond compare and seemed to contain an endless amount of blood and all sorts of weird and terrifying demon beast corpse could be seen floating around the sea of blood.
"Hmph, do you really think killing me will be that easy…?"
With a command from the remnant soul. The massive sea of blood directly flew forward and met Xuan Hao's sword attack, causing his attack to unravel before reaching its intended target.
BOOM!
Xuan Hao's sword attack directly exploded forth, causing the sword energy stored inside the attack fiercely swirl around at the edge of the blood sea before forming into an enormous vortex of sword energy that slowly began ripping apart the massive blood sea.
Whoosh!
Not intending to wait around for the sword vortex to fade away as he didn't want to waste his energy supplying it, Xuan Hao charged over towards the remnant soul with both his domains springing forth at the same time.
His sword domain forming into an endless ocean of sword before clashing with the blood ocean together with the sword vortex, while a layer of ice covered everything within a few miles of the altar as the ice domain took effect and began freezing up the blood sea at the same time.
At this point in time, the remnant soul suddenly endured three different attacks at the same time!
Crack~
Within only a short moment, the blood sea began cracking apart as it weakened significantly, to the point that the remnant soul didn't bother wasting any time with talking any longer.
Instead looking seriously at Xuan Hao for the first time since the attack as it waved its hand. Followed by several ancient blood red runes to manifest around the sea of blood before it began stabilizing under Xuan Hao's attack.
I really wish I had a good weapon…
Looking at the situation slowly begin turning in the favour of the remnant soul, Xuan Hao could not help but lament over the fact that he still didn't even have a weapon.
If he had a weapon that was fitting for his cultivation realm, Xuan Hao felt that he would have been able to directly end the fight with the three different attacks.
When going to the Alchemy Competition in the future, I have to find a skilled blacksmith that can make a weapon for me… Or at the very least find a good sword…
Having resolved himself to find a sword or an artifact useful for combat that had at least reached the Mystic Grade in the future, Xuan Hao focused back on the blood sea of the remnant soul that suddenly increased in strength after the blood red ancient runes had appeared.

Bang!
The blood sea didn't just grow stronger after the appearance of the ancient blood runes, but also began increasing in size as it soon began to engulf Xuan Hao's first attack, the sword vortex.
Whoosh~
Directly swallowing it up before forcefully erasing it from existence. Leaving only his two domains around to push back against the massive blood sea.
"Looks like he is about to reach his limit…" Looking at the quickly expanding blood sea growing stronger and stronger, Xuan Hao didn't get nervous and instead smiled to himself.
The remnant soul was after all just that, a remnant soul… The power that it displayed could only last for a certain amount of time before ending up exhausting what little qi had been saved up over the years.
The blood sea should have been the remnant soul's domain, but in its current state, there was no way for it to effortlessly display its full strength with only part of its soul. Even just using part of its blood domain's strength was more than enough to begin supressing Xuan Hao's ice and sword domain.
The sheer terror and strength of the remnant soul when it had been alive could easily be imagined from this alone…
"Argh! H-how come there is such a freak in this god forsaken place!?" Seeing that it wouldn't be able to easily break through Xuan Hao's defences in a short period of time, the remnant soul knew very well that it wouldn't be able to keep up fighting for an extended period of time and began to realize the fact that it might end up perishing.
Crack~
As time slowly passed, the sea of blood began to weaken before suddenly cracking apart like a giant mirror in the sky under the pressure of both his domains.
"Damn yo-"
About to curse at Xuan Hao one last time as the blood sea broke apart, the remnant soul was directly obliterated under an endless wave of sword qi that materialized through Xuan Hao's sword domain.
The remnant soul had been destroyed!
"That was exhausting…"
With the destruction of the remnant soul, Xuan Hao could breathe out safely as he had avoided dealing with it any time in the future. Even if the fight only lasted for a short moment, it was still extremely dangerous for him. The remnant soul had after all once been a powerhouse way above his current realm when it had been alive.
However, all thing considered, it was still way better fighting the remnant soul at its weakest compared to fighting with it after it had gotten a body and recovered part of its strength from when it had been alive…
Just imagining how strong the remnant soul would have been at its peak caused Xuan Hao to revaluate his current strength. Even if he had reached the Domain Lord Realm, there was still a long way to go until he could be considered strong enough to live without a care in the world on the Ewaria Continent.
No to mention there were three other and possible stronger continents outside the borders of the Ewaria Continent!
"Hah… Still have a long way to go…" Shaking his head as he threw these thoughts to the back of his mind, Xuan Hao decided not to think about things that were far off in the future. For now, his current strength should be more than enough to keep himself and the Flying Sword Sect safe!
Not to mention Domain Lords, there weren't more than a few Peak Nascent Soul Realm Experts in the kingdoms surrounding the Flying Sword Sect...
Merging together with the Spring Flower Sect and joining the Sect Alliance under the Sky Empire would also allow the Flying Sword Sect to gain a more legitimate and permanent position inside the Sky Empire.
All thing considered, he didn't have to worry too much about increasing his strength like he had the past half year and could spent more of his time increasing the number of techniques available to him and his understanding of formations along with alchemy and any other profession that he would need to learn in order to better teach his disciples.
Rustle~
"Hm? How is he still alive…?" Glancing over towards the altar where the elderly man that had just been about to be possessed by the remnant soul, Xuan Hao could not help but exclaim in a surprise upon witnessing him roll around like someone just about to wake up from a good night's sleep. Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
This was completely out of Xuan Hao's expectations as he had clearly been located at the middle of his and the remnant soul's fight. Even if the massive blood sea didn't crush him to death, Xuan Hao's sword or ice domain surely should have!
However, the elderly man was currently laying down on top of the altar inside a small pool of water without any signs of injuries visible on his body. Even the injuries that he had sustained during the possession earlier seemed to have disappeared. Allowing him to look healthier than the first time Xuan Hao saw him.
"What is this water?" Noticing the fact that there should be something special about the small pond of water on top of the altar, Xuan Hao moved the sleeping elderly man out of the way and began inspecting the water.
"Pure Heart Spiritual Water!?"
Pure Heart Spiritual Water was a special kind of natural treasure and was a mystic grade natural treasure that could be used in the water part of the Qi Gathering Formation! With it, Xuan Hao now got his hands on three out of the five mystic grade treasures needed for the construction of the Qi Gathering Formation! Only needing two of the mystic grade treasures.
Inspecting the water inside the small pond located at the top of the altar, a look of understanding slowly appeared on Xuan Hao's face as he understood how the elderly man had survived and even managed to recover.
From some of the knowledge that he gained from the system at the same time he had gotten his alchemy knowledge, Pure Heart Spiritual Water had been presented as one of the best ingredients to use when brewing different potions due to its beneficial properties. Among which, its healing property was among one of the strongest when it came to the different spiritual water he had learned about.
The only difference being that the Pure Heart Spiritual Water in the alchemy knowledge he had was below the Mystic Grade and only reached the Soul Grade.
As for what kind of changes there was in the Pure Heart Spiritual Water after it reached the Mystic Grade, Xuan Hao could only look towards the elderly man that had been submerged in it during his fight with the remnant soul.
Just from a quick scan with his divine sense, Xuan Hao could easily tell that the Pure Heart Spiritual Water still had its former healing property. The main difference that he could sense was the fact that the soul of the elderly man was far stronger than normal people at the Peak of the Core Formation Realm.
Normally, Xuan Hao would not have cared too much about this, but the elderly man's soul had just been about to be devoured before he began fighting with the remnant soul!
Logically speaking, the elderly man's soul should only just barely be hanging in there about to head for the nether world… Yet it was now stronger than normal Peak Core Formation Realm cultivators…
This alone was more than enough for Xuan Hao to realize that the Pure Heart Spiritual water not only helped in recovery of the physical body but would also help the recovery of the soul after reaching the mystic grade!
If he had the Pure Heart Spiritual Water, he would also be able to practice changing the shape of larger formation without too much fear that he would end up having to spend a few years on mending his soul and in the worst case end up sustaining permanent damage to his soul!
The Pure Heart Spiritual Water was truly a blessing in disguise. Not only helping him with his trouble regarding practicing shaping formations, but also serving a use as one of the treasures used in the creation of the Qi Gathering Formation.
The sheer amount of Pure Heart Spiritual Water would be more than enough for him to use over a long period of time. Even if he ended up sustaining an injury or two to his soul every year!
If any other cultivator heard about his plans for using a Mystic Grade Natural Treasure so wastefully, they would surely have launched a deadly attack to seize it from him!
Spiritual Water was rare enough in the first place. Even Spiritual Water at the Earth Grade could sometimes be sold at a price similar to other treasures at the Soul Grade!
The main reason for this being its use in alchemy. Allowing different pills and potions to have a stronger and better effect.
The scarcity of spiritual water was also one of the main reasons why many alchemists were forced to use normal water instead of spiritual water for their concoctions.
Whoosh!
Taking out a brand-new interspatial ring before directly emptying the small pond on top of the altar into it, Xuan Hao didn't leave even a single drop behind.

Chapter 363 - Leaving The Pure Heart Lake
Having taken away all the Pure Heart Spiritual water inside the small pond located at the top of the altar, Xuan Hao turned around to look back at the elderly man on the ground who had still not woken up yet.
He should not be someone from the Ghost Howl Sect, I will just let him get out on his own. After all, it's not my responsibility to look after every troubled stranger I meet…
Not wanting to end up taking care of the elderly man, Xuan Hao soon left the altar where the elderly man was located.
Now that he had found the origin of the powerful aura that he had first felt at the Pure Heart Lake, Xuan Hao had no plans to stay around to explore the maze-like formation that subtly guided him around into different locations before shutting off the way back.
Well… A corridor only going in two directions is not really that subtle…
At the very least, Xuan Hao did not plan on staying any longer and began searching the dense forest that he found himself inside for a way out.
Soon enough, a familiar circular portal covered in a thick layer of mist appeared in front of him.
"Looks like the formation is sentient to some extent…" Whispering this to himself while looking at the circular portal in front of him, Xuan Hao only hesitated for a short moment before stepping through the thick mist.
The fact that the formation was sentient to some extent and had manifested a way out for him a few minutes after beginning to look for a way out caused no small amount of fear in Xuan Hao.
After all, if the formation wanted him dead, Xuan Hao doubted he would have ever been able to walk out from it with his life still intact. Even the small things he had managed to see from the formation was more than enough to convince him of this. Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
"Maybe an inheritance of some ancient cultivator looking for an inheritor… Wait, if that's the case, it found me unqualified!?" Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a little hurt and at the same time curious about what kind of qualifications would be needed if the formation at the Heart of the Lake was really an inheritance of an ancient cultivator.
After all, Xuan Hao was only a little over twenty and had reached the Peak of the Fourth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm and had even comprehended two different domains!
Shaking his head at the thought of this, Xuan Hao could not help but lament over the fact that there were people out there even stronger and younger than him out there. Not knowing that these thoughts would cause an endless amount of pain to his poor disciples in the future, as their master would increase his expectations and at the same time increase the difficulty of their training…
…
Leaving behind the Pure Heart Lake without much thought about the inheritance that might be hidden there, Xuan Hao made his way back towards the Flying Sword Sect without picking up his disciples along the way.
The main reason for this being the fact that Feng Chen had suddenly contacted him. Telling him to hurry back because he had something important to inform him about. The other reason being the fact that they were still out on their own adventure, and he didn't want to interfere any more than needed with their journey back to the sect.
Even if something dangerous happened, they still had the winged lion to guard them.
Like this, Xuan Hao soon appeared back in the Flying Sword Sect. Given his speed as someone in the Domain Lord Realm, the short distance between the River Sect's territory and the Flying Sword Sect could be crossed within only a few minutes if he didn't have to carry someone along with him.
"Elder Xuan! The Sect Master is waiting for you inside the eastern meditation room!"
Seeing Xuan Hao appear before slowly descending down in front of the sect master's pavilion, the disciple standing guard quickly lowered his head before respectfully standing to the side. Allowing Xuan Hao to enter.
Nodding his head in response to the disciple standing guard in front of the pavilion, Xuan Hao directly stepped inside before making his way over towards the eastern part of the pavilion where Feng Chen was waiting for him.
Passing by quite a large number of elders that seemed to have also just met up with Feng Chen along the way.
Did something happen…?
Seeing so many elders inside the Feng Chen's pavilion, Xuan Hao quickly realized that something important was going to happen.
Perhaps Elder Song and Feng Chen are beginning to change things up a bit in preparations for merging with the Spring Flower Sect in the soon to be future…
Feeling a bit more curious as he made his way towards the meditation room located at the eastern most part of the Sect Master Pavilion, Xuan Hao soon found himself standing in front of the room together with the two Wang brothers and Zu Fei.
At this point, it looked like almost all the people at the Nascent Soul Realm had been called over except for Chi Hu and Elder Song!
I wonder if Zhu Lian arrived at the sect…
Thinking about the old female friend of Chi Hu, Xuan Hao could not help smiling to himself at the thought that the Flying Sword Sect would get yet another Nascent Soul Realm Expert.
"Did something good happen recently Elder Xuan? You seem to be quite happy about something…" Standing beside him, Wang Hu curiously looked over before asking.
"Yeah, I managed to recruit one of Chi Hu's friends to join the sect when I visited the Shattered Star Peaks… I was just wondering if she had arrived yet. Her name is Zhu Lian."
"Really?! You just managed to recruit that Chi Hu and now you come back with yet another Nascent Soul Realm Expert… Hah… Really makes me feel a bit useless when thinking about my failed recruitments in the past…"Showing a surprised expression after hearing that Xuan Hao managed to bring back yet another Nascent Soul Realm Expert, Wang Hu could not help lamenting over how useless he had been.
"Why are you acting so sad all of a sudden? Didn't you manage to get a brilliant new disciple called Lu Wen recently? I heard that he already broke through to the middle stages of the Foundation Establishment Realm a few days ago!"
Rolling his eye upon seeing the depressed expression on his brother's face, Wang Lan could not help but mention the disciple that his brother had taken in after the last round of recruitment for the Flying Sword Sect.
"Lu Wen… The person who suddenly broke through during a fight at the newcomer tournament?" Hearing what Wang Lan said, Zu Fei soon joined the conversation as she asked with a curious expression on her face.
"Yes… He is the one…" Feeling somewhat embarrassed over the fact that his newest disciple had done something like that during the newcomer tournament that ended up getting him disqualified, Wang Hu's face grew slightly red.
The most common thing to do during such circumstances would be to supress his breakthrough until the tournament was over, but Lu Wen had decided to just breakthrough on the spot without taking the rest of the tournament into account.
"Haha, it was indeed him! What an interesting disciple, I picked up the young girl called Yi Xuan who ended up winning the tournament. If I'm not wrong, the finals were between Yi Xuan and your disciple Elder Xuan?" Laughing a bit after seeing the embarrassed look on Wang Hu's face, Zu Fei turned around and asked Xuan Hao.
"Yes, that was indeed the case."
Nodding his head as he remembered the newcomer tournament, Xuan Hao could not help smiling a bit upon remembering how much Qing Yi had improved since then. Already having reached the Fifth Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm!
"Now that I think about it, how have teaching disciples been for you so far? If there is anything you need help with, you can always ask your seniors here for help! Even if we do not look like, all of us are already way above one hundred years old-"
""…""
Before Wang Lan managed to finish his sentence, Zu Fei suddenly smiled in his direction with an enormous killing intent washing over both Wang Hu and Xuan Hao standing at the side.
"Ahm… So how are things going with your disciples?"
Awkwardly coughing, Wang Lan pretended nothing had happened as he looked over at Xuan Hao with a slighting strained smile on his face.
"Things have been going fine and both of them have been improving well over the past half year, while the one I just picked up still needs to go over the fundamentals of cultivation."
Noting down the fact that he should not mention the matter of age in front of Zu Fei in the future, Xuan Hao answered Wang Lan with a similar smile on his face.
For a short moment, Xuan Hao had clearly felt the killing intent of Zu Fei almost reaching the same level as the winged lion!
Creak~
"All of you can come in now, I have something important to discuss with all of you regarding the future of our sect!"
It was at this moment that the door to the meditation room opened up and Feng Chen's serious voice echoed out from the inside.

Chapter 364 - Feng Chen's Request
Entering the meditation room, Xuan hao and the rest of the elders were all surprised when they spotted Feng Chen buried in what could only be described as layer upon layers of different documents.
There was even a table located in the middle of the room as the cushion normally used for one to sit on while meditating was moved to the side. Transforming the meditation room into a makeshift office room normally used by official in kingdoms.
""…""
Something like this was not a normal sight in a sect, outside of Elder Song's pavilion, so Xuan Hao and the others were all surprised after seeing their sect master suddenly looking like a hard-working official going through important documents.
"All of you have arrived! I have something important to discuss with you all regarding the future of the Flying Sword Sect!"
"W-what is it…?"
Feeling somewhat nervous after seeing how serious Feng Chen was, Wang Hu could not help but ask. The sight of the meditation room being turned into some kind of office had already given him? the feeling that the sect was about to go through some sort of major change.
"No need to look so worried Wang Hu, me and Elder Song have already gone through our plans together beforehand and I'm just filling out the documents to authorises a few things for him."
How is this a few things! You are clearly buried in a few hundred documents!
The elders and Xuan Hao could not help but curse out inside themselves after hearing Feng Chen casually shrugging off Wang Hu's worry.
Even an idiot could see that Feng Chen was helping Elder Song do something major that would likely end up affecting the entire Flying Sword Sect and in turn them!
"Haha, all of you don't have to look at me like that, you really won't have to worry about anything. The ones being affected by the changes will mostly be the other elders at the Core Formation Realm. The main reason I have so many documents here is because I have to go over the documents of the elders that Elder Song intends to use!" Laughing a bit upon seeing the four of them staring at him doubtfully, Feng Chen quickly explained the reason for the many documents in front of him.
"… So, what is it that you called us here to discuss if it's not going to affect us?" Still doubtful about what Feng Chen said, Wang Hu asked. Not understanding what Feng Chen had called them over for if it wasn't going to affect them…
"Well… With the number of elders that Elder Song want to use, there will be a shortage of people to teach the disciples over the next few months until the next batch of elders are trained up and ready to take over…"
"So, you wanted us to take some time to teach the disciples during the next few months when there is a shortage of elders to teach the disciples?"
Getting to the crux of the thing that Feng Chen was going to ask them, Xuan Hao could not help but roll his eyes at the reason he had been called back to the sect so urgently for.
Clearly, Feng Chen had not expected for there to be so few elders left after Elder Song began to take away elders and was caught off-guard by the small number left and had to call them in to help out.
"Hehe… I hope you won't mind; it will not be more than once or twice a week for an hour or two…" Smiling awkwardly after having been found out, Feng Chen glanced over at them with a hopeful look in his eyes.
Xuan Hao's guess had not been far off from the truth. The only difference being that Elder Song had informed Feng Chen that he would take some of the young elders, Feng Chen had just not expected for Elder Song's understanding of a young elder was widely different from what Elder Song considered a young elder…
"It's no problem at all! It's only a given that we as elders help out the younger generation of the sect!"
True to her name as someone who would blindly follow Feng Chen no matter what he said, Zu Fei was the first to jump forward and agree to help out with training the disciples while the sect went through a shortage of elders.
"Well… I guess I don't have so much going on anyway at the moment, I will help out as well."
"If my brother is going to teach, then so am I!"
The two Wang brothers only thought about it for a short moment before agreeing with the sect master to teach the disciples for a few hours every week over the next few months. Leaving behind only Xuan Hao who had yet to state his decision on the matter.
"Elder Xuan, if you are too busy with your own personal disciples, you don't have to join in… I know that you just recently accepted a new third disciple, and you are still new to teaching disciples. Teaching a large crowd of them at once might be a little too much at the moment." Not wanting to seem like he was forcing Xuan Hao into it, Feng Chen quickly gave him a way out.
"No need to worry about that it, it's only natural that I will join as well!"
About to refuse, Xuan Hao was suddenly surprised upon seeing the system come alive and give out a new quest, as he quickly accepted the sect master's request.
"Hah… I understand, it's only natural for you to ref- Wait! You accepted?!"
"Yes?"
"Haha, that's great! With you four, I won't have to worry about the disciples growing sad over less lectures over the next few months! With three Nascent Soul Realm Experts and a Domain Lord personally teaching them, there is no way they would complain. Even if they are getting way fewer lectures than normal!"
Watching as Feng Chen laughed happily after hearing all of them agree to teach the disciples over the next few months, Xuan Hao and the other three took their leave from the meditation room that had been transformed into an office room, while Feng Chen returned his focus to the documents in front of him with a smile on his face. No longer feeling as distraught as he had earlier.
"You really agreed to teach the outer and inner disciples over the next few months… I was almost sure that you would refuse like always…" Having left the room, Zu Fei curiously drifted over towards Xuan Hao as she asked with a curious look in her eyes.
"…" Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
Not answering her question immediately, Xuan Hao looked over to see both the Wang brothers also looking over at him curiously from the side.
He really had been way too inactive when it came to sect matters before. Always refusing any and all requests that had required him to leave his pavilion and focus on something outside of his cultivation realm.
Well, things were not really different now… Just that his system allowed for him to begin interacting more with the other elders and disciples of the sect.
Deep down, Xuan Hao knew that if he didn't get a quest from the system when Feng Chen had asked him, he would have refused his request. After all, teaching disciples that were not his own personal disciples seemed like a waste of time to him…
Maybe I should set aside some time to interact with the other elders…
"I guess I was curious about the other disciples of the sect. After all, I haven't really gotten a chance to interact with them before..." Answering Zu Fei's question with this, Xuan Hao soon left the Sect Master's pavilion after a quick session from the two Wang brothers and Zu Fei on how to go about teaching a large crowd of disciples at once.
After all, teaching a large crowd of disciples was different compared to how you would teach one or two. The sheer amount of time you had with each disciple in a crowd of a hundred over the course of an hour was different compared to only having to focus on one or two.
The overall method of teaching like he had done with his three disciples so far, was simply not possible with a large crowd of disciples. Unless he wanted to spend the entire day going through each and every one of them…
Maybe this is the reason why I suddenly got a new system quest…
The system would only give him quest that would benefit his disciples to some degree. In this case, it was by increasing his proficiency when it came to teaching and at the same time helping increase the strength of the sect's younger generation.
Whoosh~
Flying back towards his pavilion where he had left Bai Ning in the care of Zhi Ruo over the past few days.

Chapter 365 - New Sect Quest And Bai Ning
You can read the novel fast updates at
Arriving at his pavilion, the first thing Xuan Hao did was to return to his own room at the centre of the pavilion before going over the quest that he had been given by the system back when Feng Chen had requested for him to help out with teaching the inner and outer disciples a few hours every week over the next few months.
[Sect Quest: From today and until the date set up by the Sect Master of the Flying Sword Sect is reached, you must teach the inner and outer sect disciples for at least one hour every week.]
[The reward will vary depending on how much the inner and outer disciple manages to learn.]
The quest itself was rather simple and wouldn't be that difficult for him to complete.
The main thing that interested him about it was the fact that it had a reward that would change depending on how well he did. Similar to the limited time quest that wanted him to make a thousand interspatial rings and scatter them all over the place…
"Now that I think about it, I have made quite a bit of progress since last time, though I'm still far away when it comes to reaching the one thousand…"
[Limited Time Quest: You have found a brilliant way to recruit new potential disciples! Scatter 1000 interspatial rings around the world. The system will add a specific test to the ring that will test the potential future disciples. Interspatial Rings will only be counted towards the quest if they are scattered a certain distance away from each other. Timer will begin upon reaching the Domain Lord Realm!]
[Time: 9.9 years]
[43/1000]
[Reward: vary depending on the amount of successfully scattered interspatial rings]
Looking over at the limited time quest that he hadn't checked up on in a while, Xuan Hao could not help but sigh to himself. Even if he had made quite a lot of progress on it, it was still far from reaching the goal of one thousand…
At the very least, he still had a little under 10 years to complete it and with his current speed, he should not have any trouble completing it in time.
The only thing worrying him was the fact that he had underestimated the amount of Moon Silver used in the production of an interspatial ring… With his current usage, it might only be able to get him to the halfway point of 500 interspatial rings before running out!
Putting the need for finding more Moon Silver for the creation of more interspatial rings aside for the moment, Xuan Hao left his room and made his way over to meet his youngest disciple Bai Ning and see how he had been doing over the past few days while he had been gone.
Curious whether he had managed to improve his cultivation realm. Not that he expected for him to increase his cultivation realm over such a short period of time.
…
"Master! Welcome back!" Hearing someone call out to him the moment he stepped out of his room; Xuan Hao watched Bai Ning run over before he respectfully greeted him with a happy smile on his face.
"Thanks, what have you been doing over the past few days?" Not able to stop himself from smiling upon seeing the happy Bai Ning come over to greet him, Xuan Hao decided to first of all ask him what he had been up to during the time he had been gone.
After all, he was a bit worried that Bai Ning would end up growing bored spending most of his time alone in the large pavilion with only Zhi Ruo around every now and then.
No matter what, Bai Ning was still only a child and might not fare too well alone. Even if cultivation was mostly something done in solitude and by oneself in a quiet place, Xuan Hao still knew that sitting down and just cultivating every day would be boring for the younger generation who had not yet grown used to it yet.
For example, the Flying Sword Sect had a special area dedicated to the disciples below the age of 15 where they would stay together and slowly grow used to the solitary lifestyle of a cultivator.
The special area was not really something like confining the younger disciples to a certain location but was more like giving them a place where they could gather together and interact and be looked after by some of the older and more experienced elders who would help guide them.
The existence of the special area and training that come with it, was invented by Elder Song during his younger days just after he became an elder, when he saw how many of the younger disciples were having a hard time adapting to the solitary lifestyle that was synonymous with cultivation.
Back when Xuan Hao had entered the sect, the special area for the younger disciples had already been around for a few dozen years and was working as intended.
From what little Xuan Hao knew about it, the special area for the younger disciples was among one of the first things Elder Song did in the Flying Sword Sect that made him famous among both disciples and elders.
"I have been visiting the Blacksmithing Hall and big sister Zhi Ruo took me to visit the food stalls located just outside the entrance of the sect! Master, did you know there were so many different kinds of food?! Before going out with big sister Zhi Ruo, I didn't even know you could get something like deep fried scorpion-"
Listening to Bai Ning as he began explaining how he had been spending his time over the few days he had been gone, Xuan Hao felt the worry from earlier completely disappear.
Bai Ning didn't feel lonely or bored but had instead spent the time having fun together with Zhi Ruo! Even getting to the point that he had begun respectfully addressing Zhi Ruo as big sister.
The only bad part Xuan Hao managed to pick up on, was the lack of any mention about cultivating… From a close look, Xuan Hao could also clearly feel that Bai Ning's strength had barely increased since he left.
Well, he was way more interested in blacksmithing in the first place and mostly just spent the time getting more familiar with the sect and Zhi Ruo, so this is to be expected…
Shaking his head as he decided not to care too much about the fact that Bai Ning hadn't spent any time on cultivating while he had been gone.
"-And then, I saw master return and rushed over!"
"You seem to have been doing quite well over the past few days."
"Yes… I know I haven't been focusing much on my cultivation realm, so I hope master will be able to guide me!"
"Haha, of course! Let's get going!" Hearing the words from Bai Ning, Xuan Hao happily agreed to his disciple before they made their way over to Bai Ning's room where Xuan Hao watched Bai Ning begin cultivating. Instructing him on how to improve in different areas from time to time, as Bai Ning's cultivation of the Formless Mantra grew smoother.
…
"Finally, we managed to leave the Pure Heart Lake for good! Now we just have to make our way back to the sect again and we will officially have completed our first two sect missions!"
Letting out a sigh of relief as he remembered the last time they had left the Pure Heart City and was just about to be caught by a Nascent Soul Realm Expert, Chu Yang looked back towards the Pure Heart Lake that was slowly disappearing in the distance.
"Yeah… I really don't want to come back here for the time being. No offense towards Huang Yongyu and his River Sect, but this place is really unstable… At least we got Fluffy Paws to protect us this time around! Right?" NvεlB¡n: Inspiring Minds, Illuminating Souls.
Roar!
Hearing the disrespectful name that Qing Yi used for it, the still small winged lion roared angrily from the top of Chu Yang's head.
"…"
At the same time, the lion demon beast that was carrying all three as it shakingly walked back towards the direction of the Flying Sword Sect shivered in fear upon hearing the winged lion's roar.
Compared to before, the lion demon beast looked like a small, frightened animal at the moment. Completely different from before where it had even dared to eat a few human body parts in front of Chu Yang and Qing Yi without permission.
"Hm? There is someone approaching in front! Get ready in case they attack!" Suddenly discovering a large group of around twenty people dressed in completely black rushing over from the distance, Chu Yang immediately called out to get Qing Yi's attention to make sure she was ready for the soon to be confrontation.
Whoosh~
Before long, one of the people dressed in black broke off from the rest of the group as he made his way over to meet up with them.
"Hello travellers! We are from the Ghost Howl Sect and wondered if you happened to see someone pass through here before us, he should have been leaking quite a large amount of killing intent along the way as well."
"…"
Are they perhaps talking about the Nascent Soul Realm Expert that was crushed to death by the giant paw?
Not knowing what to say to the person in front of them that claimed to be a member of the Ghost Howl Sect, Chu Yang and Qing Yi were both momentarily stunned as they just stared at the man that had stopped them.

Chapter 366 - Causing Chaos With A Few Words
"Hm? Did something perhaps happen to that person?" Narrowing his eyes as he noticed the sudden change in Chu Yang and Qing Yi upon hearing his question, the man from the Ghost Howl Sect slowly began realizing that something might have happened to their sect master after he left them behind to catch the people who schemed against his son.
Was this perhaps all a plan to lure the sect master over and launch a sneak attack on him!? Given his current injured state, it would be possible if those sects teamed up on him and used the young master as bait!
Thinking about what might have happened to their sect master, the man from the Ghost Howl Sect quietly motioned towards the rest of the group standing a little farther away before they began to slowly move closer to Chu Yang and Qing Yi.
"You don't need to worry so much; we are just here to search for that person and are worried that something might have happened to him… If you could tell us anything useful, that would really be a great help and the Ghost Howl Sect will be in your debt in the future!" Saying this, the man tried his best to look as harmless as possible in front of Chu Yang and Qing Yi.
After all, he clearly knew the strength of his sect master and Chu Yang and Qing Yi was far too weak to ever do anything to him.
But from the way they had acted upon seeing him and what he said, he could at least tell that they had at least seen the sect master. Maybe they had even witnessed the sect master being attacked!
"I see, sorry for the earlier response, we were just a little afraid after what we just witnessed… If I'm not wrong, the person you are talking about was ambushed around the entrance of the Pure Heart City before he barely managed to escape into the city as his other paths had been cut off by the ambushers."
Trying his best to convince the man in front of him without giving away the fact that the sect master they were looking for was already dead, Chu Yang decided to see if he could help out their friend from the River Sect a little.
Hoping that the group of people would begin attacking the other sects inside the Pure Heart City without asking them about the situation first…
"I understand… Thank you for answering my questions, we should be on our way now…" Narrowing his eyes even further as a hint of killing intent leaked out, the man returned to his group before briefly talking about something.
Whoosh! NvεlB¡n: Inspiring Minds, Illuminating Souls.
And before Chu Yang and Qing Yi could say another word, the group of twenty or so people had already rushed off in the direction of the Pure Heart City.
"I didn't expect for that to work…" Smiling wryly as he witnessed the group leave them alone, Chu Yang ordered for the lion demon beast to continue moving like nothing had happened.
For now, they needed to get out of the River Sect's territory before that group of people realized that they he had lied to them. Hopefully, none of the people who had witnessed the sect master's death had time to pay any attention to them…
…
Only a few minutes later, the entire Pure Heart City was suddenly thrown into chaos as the core elders of the Ghost Howl Sect suddenly showed up and began launching an attack towards the other sects inside the city.
The matter only grew more and more chaotic with each passing minute as the elders from the Ghost Howl Sect screamed about getting their sect master back, while the other sects kept claiming they had nothing to do with it.
Things continued like this before the sects finally managed to calm down the angry core elders of the Ghost Howl Sect.
However, things were not going to last for long, as a small group of elders were spotted dragging away their sect master's dead body by one of the Ghost Howl Sect's core elders, thus reigniting the slowly dwindling fighting spirit of the core elders.
You claim that you had nothing to do with our sect master's disappearance? Then why is one of you elders dragging away his dead body?!
The core elders of the Ghost Howl Sect instantly became convinced about the fact that the other sects had teamed up to kill their sect master before resuming their attack on them.
Not discriminating between normal disciples or elders this time around, as dead bodies slowly filled up every part of the Pure Heart City, while the citizen rapidly escaped the chaotic city.
Most of them running towards the River Sect to seek protection from the destruction brought by the Ghost Howl Sect and other sects.
The River Sect was of course not one to refuse when people came running to them for protection and opened their sect gates to allow people inside during the crazy battle at the Pure Heart City that had slowly begun spreading out from the River Sect's territory and had started affecting the home territory of the sects involved.
In the end, the Ghost Howl Sect's core elders were forced to retreat due to sheer number of people the other sects had at their disposal…
But this spelled the beginning of the end for the different sect's cooperation to deal with the River Sect, as they would now have to return back home to defend against the core elders of the Ghost Howl Sect when they inevitably decided to launch an attack on their sect!
All in all, the River Sect did nothing and the sects that had been supressing them for so long had disappeared on their own. The help from the Flying Sword Sect that Huang Yongyu had told them about, had not even been needed either…
Other than that, the reputation of the River Sect that had been on the decline recently due to the small sect alliance against them. Showed signs of improving after news of them helping provide refuge for the citizen of the Pure Heart City during the whole ordeal spread around.
At the same time, Chu Yang who had been behind the chaos that had ended up spreading through the River Sect's territory and all the territories surrounding them, was on his way back towards the Flying Sword Sect together with Qing Yi.
Completely unaware of the chaos a few words of his had ended up causing…
…
Over the next few days, Chu Yang and Qing Yi made their way back to the Flying Sword Sect, while Xuan Hao was getting ready for his first ever teaching session for a small crowd of outer sect disciples.
The teaching session for the outer sect disciples, was up for himself to decide the topic, whether he wanted to teach about something related to a specific cultivation realm, the importance of a certain profession or something completely different.
Feng Chen left the decision up to Xuan Hao, allowing him as much freedom as he wanted when it came to the teaching session.
"Master, are you really going to hold a session for the outer disciples today!?"
At the side of Xuan Hao who was about to leave his pavilion, Bai Ning asked nervously with a somewhat excited look on his face.
"Yes? Do you want to join in? I'm planning to go over some of the fundamentals when it comes to entering the Foundation Establishment Realm and the establishment of the first foundational pillar inside of the dantian."
Taking only a short look to see through what his third disciple wanted, Xuan Hao asked him while explaining what he had planned to teach the outer sect disciples during his first ever public teaching session in the sect.
The subject was in Xuan Hao's eyes fitting. After all, most of the outer sect disciples were still in the Qi Condensation Realm and were all hoping to reach the Foundation Establishment Realm so they would have a chance at becoming an inner disciple.
"Yes! Can big sister Zhi Ruo join as well?"
"Hm? Sure, I don't see anything wrong with that…"
Not expecting Bai Ning to bring up Zhi Ruo, Xuan Hao was caught slightly off-guard before quickly agreeing.
To Xuan Hao, it didn't matter whether one more person would tag along, and Zhi Ruo had been doing well ever since she came to his pavilion and had never caused any sort of problem. Instead, she had improved the overall condition of the pavilion and at the same time been getting along well with his third disciple Bai Ning.
Not really what he had expected as he mainly brought her in because of Qing Yi…
All things considered; Zhi Ruo had been doing an excellent job. Now that she would be join them and also listen in to his lecture, Xuan Hao decided to not only teach about the Foundation Establishment Realm, but also the Qi Condensation Realm.
This would still benefit the outer sect disciples and at the same time also help his own disciple along with Zhi Ruo… Hopefully, she would be able also become a strong cultivator in the future…

Chapter 367 - Outer Sect

Having made up his mind that he would be bringing both Bai Ning and Zhi Ruo along with him to his first ever public lecture, Xuan Hao quickly spread out his divine sense and located Zhi Ruo in a small room. Busy dusting off a small empty bookshelf likely left behind by the past owner of the pavilion.
Whoosh~
Disappearing in front of Bai Ning before reappearing in the small room where Zhi Ruo was busy dusting off the bookshelf, Xuan Hao's sudden appearance caused Zhi Ruo to jump a bit as she soon bowed her head down and greeted him.
"G-greetings Elder Xuan, is there anything I can help with?" Stuttering a bit due to the shock of suddenly seeing Xuan Hao appear all of a sudden.
"Yes, I'm going to do a teaching session for a crowd of outer sect disciple in a a few hours and Bai Ning wanted to join in, I need someone to look after him while taking care of the outer sect disciples."
"Really!? I will get ready immediately!"? Listening to what Xuan Hao said, Zhi Ruo extremely excited, as she knew that it would be a good opportunity for her to improve her knowledge when it came to cultivation.
After all, as a servant from the servant quarters, she never got a real opportunity to become a cultivator outside the basic cultivation mantra that was given to all the servants upon entering the servant quarters.
The cultivation mantra was a different one depending on what qi one was found to be more proficient in and it was by no means a bad cultivation mantra, as it could allow someone to reach the Core Formation Realm… But it was ultimately not suited for her and even after having spent a few years in the servant quarters, she had still not reached the Qi Condensation Realm…
Now that she managed to work under someone like Elder Xuan, Zhi Ruo felt that her chances of finally stepping into the Qi Condensation Realm would come at some point and now that chance had arrived! There was no way she would refuse!
Hopefully, she would be able to comprehend enough from Elder Xuan's lecture to officially break through to the Qi Condensation Realm and officially become a cultivator!
Zhi Ruo already knew that most of the servants working under the other Core Elders were way stronger than she was, with most of them being in the Foundation Establishment Realm!
For her to be a brilliant servant, she not only had to be good at the standard things like cleaning up, brewing tea and so on, but she would also need a decent cultivation realm to not shame Elder Xuan!
Even if she was not Elder Xuan's servant. Her master, Qing Yi, was still a disciple of Elder Xuan! So, she could be considered a servant of Elder Xuan to some degree! At least she believed so herself…
"Good, meet us at the entrance when you are finished here, we will be leaving in 15 minutes!" Unaware of the different things going through Zhi Ruo's head, Xuan Hao only nodded his head before leaving only Zhi Ruo behind in the empty room with only a few dusty bookshelves left in it.
"Ah! I have to finish cleaning this place before leaving!" Waking up from her somewhat dazed state after Xuan Hao disappeared, Zhi Ruo quickly picked up a small fan used for getting rid of the dust that she had unknowingly dropped at some point during the short instant Xuan Hao had appeared. Wanting to finish cleaning the room as quickly as possible.
…
Gathering in front of the pavilion, Xuan Hao, Bai Ning and Zhi Ruo soon made their way down the mountain towards the part of the sect where the outer disciples were located.
Along the way down the mountain, Xuan Hao also noticed that someone had made a path up the mountain, so as to make it easier to reach for those without any cultivation realm to speak of.
Thinking about it, it was likely one of his two disciples that had done it to help make things easier for Zhi Ruo, as just making her way up and down the mountain would have taken at least half a day's time without it…
In a sense, it was an amazing feat in itself that Zhi Ruo had even made her way up and down the mountain before the path had been made and was a testament to how strong she was. Even if she had yet to step onto the path of cultivation.
After all, scaling such a tall mountain, would be hard feat. Even for someone at the Qi Condensation Realm…
Like this, the group of three soon made their way down the mountain and headed towards the outer part of the sect where the outer sect disciples were located.
The outer part of the Flying Sword Sect was by far the most expansive area of the sect, as it was also the place where most of the disciples along with elders resided.
The reason for this being that most of the disciples lived there and the outer part of the Flying Sword Sect was also the place where most of the disciples, be it inner or outer disciples, decided to spend their time either training or relaxing together with a group of friends.
On the other hand, the elders in the outer part of the sect were not weak by any means, as even the weakest elder from the Flying Sword Sect would have reached the Core Formation Realm, there was still a difference and that was the fact that most of the elders who resided in the outer sect were still young.
The reason for this, was that the older elders tended to be stronger and therefore lived in the inner part of the sect in their own pavilion, while the younger and newer elders were weaker and therefore lived in the outer part of the sect until they grew strong enough to take over a pavilion themselves and move into the inner part of the sect.

Chapter 368 - Curious Disciples And Elders~
"So, this is the outer sect…" Staring out at the large crowd of disciples both older and younger than himself walking around in front of him, Bai Ning could not help but sigh in amazement as he watched.
"Didn't you visit it with Zhi Ruo while I was gone?"
"No… We only visited the places close to the mountain, it would take too long to get back in we began exploring the outer parts of the sect…"
"I see…" Realizing the fact that his third disciple was still only in the early stages of the Qi Condensation Realm along with Zhi Ruo who hadn't even reached the Qi Condensation Realm, Xuan Hao could not help smiling wryly.
Even just making their way down to the outer sect had taken them a few hours!
If Zhi Ruo and Bai Ning had really tried to explore the outer part of the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao doubted the time he had been gone would be sufficient. Even a few weeks would not be enough to explore the entire outer sect…
To be honest, Xuan Hao had never really explored the outer sect himself and at most he had scanned over it with his divine sense a few times.
After all, since the first moment he had entered the Flying Sword Sect, he had been at the inner part of the sect. Never having associated with the outer sect.
The teaching session for the crowd of outer sect disciples would not only be helpful for completing the sect quest but would also allow him to explore a part of the Flying Sword Sect that he had never really had a chance to see before today.
Thinking about this, Xuan Hao began looking more around him as he watched the disciples and elders that passed by look over at him curiously whenever he passed by before politely bowing down upon noticing him looking over in their direction.
From the response alone, Xuan Hao quickly realized that both the disciples and elders passing by realized that he was a core elder. Likely because he was wearing the clothes of a core elder and the fact that the core elders would be teaching over the next few months had begun spreading among both disciples and elders alike.
The rumour in question was likely the doing of Feng Chen, who had tried using the fact that the core elders came to personally teach to calm down the disciples who had likely begun noticing fewer and fewer elders around and their number of lessons being reduced.
Having the core elders personally come teach them had ended up far overshadowing the news of the elders slowly disappearing and had instead turned into excitement as they would be able to enjoy being personally taught by the core elders of the sect!
It had to be known that each of the core elders were at the Nascent Soul Realm! A realm that many of the young disciples dreamed of reaching!
What better way to excite the young disciples and distract them, than having a few Nascent Soul Realm Experts personally come and teach them?
Not only that, but the rumours of Xuan Hao having reached the Domain Lord Realm had slowly spread out to the young disciples and had caused them even more excitement than when they had learned that the core elders at the Nascent Soul Realm would be coming to teach them.
The Domain Lord Realm! A realm above the Nascent Soul Realm that many of the young disciples didn't even know about a few weeks ago!
At most they had heard about it in stories being called as the king realm, people who singlehandedly had the power to dictate the rise and fall of an entire kingdom by themselves!
Learning a person like that would teach them, was more than enough to cause both the outer and inner disciples to boil over in excitement as they patiently waited for this legendary figure to appear. Even the different elders were secretly excited, as they planned to listen in.
Even if the subject matter would not be something related to their current cultivation realm, they could still benefit greatly from increasing their own understanding of cultivation as a whole and might even be able to help them overcome some problems that had gotten them stuck in the past.
Slowly and under the gazes from the surrounding elders and disciples that were not so sneakily following after him, Xuan Hao soon arrived in front of the building that he would be teaching in. Bai Ning and Zhi Ruo following closely behind him.
"Is this the place you will be teaching master?" Looking up at the somewhat small building that could at most hold little over one hundred people before looking back towards the large crowd that had formed behind them, Bai Ning could not help but feel that the building was way too small…
"Yes, today I will be teaching one hundred outer sect disciples who were chosen through a few different tournaments over the past few days. Even though this place is a little small, you two should be able to find a place to sit during my lecture…"
Not realizing how his disciples was nervous looking at the crowd that had formed behind them, Xuan Hao reassured his disciple that there should be more than enough space for two extra people before making his way into the small building.
"…"
Master… I'm not worried about the fact that there is not enough space for us, but the people behind us!
Not knowing whether to laugh or cry as he felt the burning gazes of both the disciples and elders behind him, Bai Ning could only bite is lips nervously before entering the building just behind his master.
Not daring to stay behind with the crowd for even a second.
Zhi Ruo on the other hand, didn't say anything and just followed behind Bai Ning and Xuan Hao like everything happening was normal.
Soon, the crowd of both disciples and elders slowly began dispersing, with only a few young disciples staying behind as they sneakily tried to listen in on the lecture happening inside.
Along with a few older elders from the outer sect who saw this as their possible last chance of having a breakthrough.

Chapter 369 - Qing Chenyi
Entering the building, Xuan Hao soon realized that the entire building was just one giant room with seating space for around a hundred people forming into a half circle with a small open space in the middle. Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
"Who are those three?"
"Maybe someone who arrived late?"
"Wait… Is that-!
"Shh! Don't talk so loudly or you might disturb the elder!"
Chattering could instantly be heard as Xuan hao soon glanced over the already occupied seating spaces filled with what he assumed to be the outer sect disciples who had been placed well or won in whatever tournament they had participated in to get the chance to come and learn from him…
"Hah… To think there would be a group of people competing to listen to me talking." Muttering this to himself as a small wry smile made its way onto his face, Xuan Hao quickly took out two chairs from his interspatial ring before handing one to Bai Ning and Zhi Ruo before telling them to find a place to sit down.
The chairs in question were among some of the furniture that he had… Taken from the underground palace back in the secret realm, so they were quite high quality and looked extremely luxuries. Just a single glance would allow someone to instantly understand the value of the two chairs!
The disciples sitting inside the room were all shaken by the sight of the two chairs, but quickly calmed down again after seeing Xuan Hao begin making his way towards the open space located at the centre of the half circle.
Even the fact that Bai Ning and Zhi Ruo had appeared together with Xuan Hao was completely overshadowed as all the disciples focused their full attention on Xuan Hao. Scared that they might miss anything and lose an opportunity that they had been fighting hard for just a few days prior.
…
At the same time Xuan Hao was about to begin his lecture, somewhere in the back of the seating space for the outer sect disciples inside the small building, young disciple clenched both his fists filled with mixed emotions as he looked at Xuan Hao.
This person was Qing Chenyi, who had tried to enter the Flying Sword Sect in the past at the same time as Qing Yi but had ultimately ended up failing. Not only that, after he returned back to the Qing Family and joined in the annual competition, he had ended up getting beaten up by a rival he had long since considered himself superior to before said rival was beaten up by Qing Yi!
The fact that all of these things had happened within only around a month had caused Qing Chenyi to completely lose faith in his own strength and his future as a cultivator.
In turn, this caused him to leave the Qing family and go on an adventure without even having reached the Foundation Establishment Realm!
During his adventure, he had many ups and downs before he finally managed to encounter an elder from the Flying Sword Sect who took an interest in him and decided to bring him back to the sect as an outer sect disciple.
If it had been in the past, Qing Chenyi knew he would never be able to have such an opportunity. The main reason why he had been able to catch the eye of an elder from the Flying Sword Sect in the first place, was because he had managed to improve a lot during his adventure.
Reaching the Eighth Stage of the Qi Condensation Realm, while having the ability to battle against someone at the Ninth Stage!
His overall improvement over only a few months without anyone to guide him had been phenomenal!
Even allowing him to join the tournament for a spot at the lecture held by Elder Xuan. At least he was lucky that a spot was not only rewarded to the first place, but the top three… Barely managing to get into top three himself!
The only thing that caused him to not feel completely ecstatic over the prospect of someone in the Domain Lord Realm teaching him, was the fact that he was the master of Qing Yi… His cousin…
He had to fight for an opportunity to listen to a lecture given by Qing Yi's master… The thought of it alone caused a lot of his enthusiasm to die down, but this was of course not enough to discourage him from coming!
After all, Qing Yi only managed to grow stronger than him because she found an excellent master! In the future, he would surpass her once again and become the strongest among the younger generation of the Qing family!
Just you wait Qing Yi! In the future, I Qing Chenyi will be the one to bring the Qing family to an even higher level and allow it to grow even stronger and bigger!
Unknowingly having formed a pure and honest desire to increase the strength of his family clan through his competitive drive to be the best in his family, Qing Chenyi began focusing his full attention onto Xuan Hao as he came to a stop in the middle of the space located at the centre of the half circle.
"""…"""
Qing Chenyi was not the only one who remained completely quite as all the outer sect disciples focused their full attention onto Xuan Hao. Ready to absorb every single word that came out of his mouth.
All of a sudden, everything became completely quite inside the small building as Xuan Hao slowly opened his mouth.
"Well… Seeing as everyone is ready, how about we begin? Let's start with the basics, the Qi Condensation Realm. The Qi Condensation is about absorbing the qi between heaven and earth and making it your own before beginning the process of refining it to become both purer and stronger, but this can only be considered the most basic interpretation of the Qi Condensation Realm-"
As Xuan Hao began talking, the outer sect disciples, together with Bai Ning and Zhi Ruo listened attentively.. Not a single sound could be heard from the hundred people inside the building as all of them were laser focused on each word Xuan Hao was saying.

Chapter 370 - End Of The First Lecture
"-With that, today's lecture can be considered finished." With Xuan Hao's lecture smoothly proceeding for the next one hour before Xuan hao finished.
The outer disciples didn't even notice the fact that Xuan Hao began leaving before he had already disappeared from the building together with Bai Ning and Zhi Ruo.
""…"" The initial posting of this chapter occurred via noovelllbbin
For a short moment, all the outer sect disciples just sat quietly as they tried their best to remember everything they had heard during the past hour.
Not daring to say a single word in case they would ruin this moment.
Even Qing Chenyi sitting towards the back of the group remained completely silent as he felt his cultivation realm slowly proceeding forward. Only a slight push and he would be able to enter the Ninth Stage of the QI Condensation Realm!
Even if he had personally listened, Qing Chenyi knew that he was far from understanding most of what Elder Xuan had talked about when it came to the Qi Condensation Realm… When he began talking about the Foundation Establishment Realm, he had already given up on understanding what was being said and had instead focused on trying to remember the things that had been explained about the Qi Condensation Realm!
Looking around himself, Qing Chenyi understood that the other outer sect disciples like himself was in a similar situation. Only a few of those who were already at the Foundation Establishment Realm and were going to attempt becoming an inner disciple in the soon to be future sitting at the front, had tried remembering what Elder Xuan Had said when he began talking about the Foundation Establishment Realm…
And just looking at their concentrated expressions, Qing Chenyi easily realized that they were attempting to use what they had managed to learn by using it to strengthen their foundation here and now.
Not wanting to risk forgetting anything on the way back.
The other outer sect disciple at the Qi Condensation Realm slowly decided to do the same as all of them remained seated without moving and Qing Chenyi soon decided to do the same as well.
Soon enough, the one hundred outer sect disciples all decided to remain still in the same place before each of them attempted to implement some of the things they had learned from the earlier lecture.
In the end, the fact that nobody had shown up even after a few hours had passed since Elder Xuan left, caused quite a few elders from the outer sect to worry, as they ended up entering to see what had happened.
The elders suddenly entering caused the disciples inside to wake up fully as they had all looked over towards the elders entering, some with anger and others with confusion. Not fully certain about what had just happened or how much time had passed.
Soon, the stories of what happened began spreading across the Flying Sword Sect. Many of the disciples who had joined the lecture even managed to break through over the next few days and weeks. Helping increase the interest and curiosity that both the disciples and elders had towards Elder Xuan even more.
…
Xuan Hao, having left the building where he held his first ever lecture for someone outside his own personal disciples, was slowly making his way out of the outer part of the sect. Heading back in the direction of the inner part of the sect where his mountain and pavilion was located.
"So how was my first lecture?" Curious about what his disciple or Zhi Ruo might have thought about his lecture, Xuan Hao could not help himself from asking as he looked over towards both of them walking a short distance behind him.
"It was great master! Although I didn't understand much when it came to the Foundation Establishment part, I still understood it when you talked about the Qi Condensation Realm! Most of it was also things you explained to me when I first began cultivating…"
"It was enlightening, I might even be able to enter the Qi Condensation Realm after returning to the pavilion…"
Listening to both Bai Ning and Zhi Ruo's answers, Xuan Hao could not help smiling to himself.
From the looks of things, it looked like his first ever lecture went well.
Moreover, if Zhi Ruo could really reach the Qi Condensation Realm, she would be able to more easily move around in the future and maybe also learn a few easier techniques that would make things like keeping the pavilion clean easier.
"Looks like it will not be too hard having to do one lecture every week in the future… Now that things have mostly calmed down, I will also have a lot of free time again!" Muttering this to himself as he thought about how calm things were going to become in the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao could not help smiling happily to himself.
There was no more Heavenly Sky Kingdom and the Black Rose Sect had pretty much disappeared after the destruction of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom. The Azure Sky Kingdom also seemed to have ended up in some sort of internal struggle after they left.
The only thing that Xuan Hao could see happening in the future, was the alchemy competition hosted by the Artisan Alchemist from the Sky Empire…
How could I forget that! I still have to prepare in case that old alchemist from the Sky Empire tries snatching my disciple!
Suddenly remembering the upcoming alchemy competition that his disciple would be joining in a few months; Xuan Hao suddenly felt an unknown pressure bearing down on him as he clearly knew that the Sky Empire was not a power that he could afford to offend given his current strength.
If that old alchemist from the Sky Empire really took an interest in his disciple and wanted to take Qing Yi in as an alchemy disciple, Xuan Hao would at the very least need to have the ability to show off the fact that she already had an alchemist master and one that was no weaker than the Artisan Realm at that!
For something like that, Xuan Hao knew he would at least have to learn some of the more ordinary pills and potions for the Artisan Realm... He doubted the old artisan alchemist from the Sky Empire would care much about a hair growth potion at the Soul Rank…

Chapter 371 - Neighbouring Kingdoms
You can read the novel fast updates at
With his first lecture having concluded, Xuan Hao began to focus on increasing his knowledge and familiarity with alchemy for the upcoming alchemy competition that Qing Yi would be participating in only a few months' time. Putting aside the matter of using the Pure Heart Spiritual Water for training with formations until after the alchemy competition.
For now, the most important thing, was to fully assimilate the knowledge of alchemy that he hadn't truly put to use yet.
Like this, Xuan Hao's time was filled with teaching the outer and inner disciples once a week, teaching his own disciples for a few hours every day and finally spend the rest of his time getting better at alchemy and at the same time helping Qing Yi whenever she came with any alchemy related questions.
…
As time slowly began passing with Qing Yi and Chu Yang returning to the sect again after successfully completing their two missions in the River Sect's territory. The kingdoms surrounding the Flying Sword Sect began learning more about what had happened to the Heavenly Sky Kingdom.
The destruction of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom was not too much of a surprise to these kingdoms, but the fact that it was not done by one of the sects and instead the Azure Sky Kingdom, was the most surprising fact about it.
However, this did not change that the Heavenly Sky Kingdoms territory had suddenly lost the kingdom that formerly ruled over it. Now, any kingdom could come a claim a bit of territory for free without too much of a loss. Even if the sects wanted to break free, they would not be able to take over the entire territory by themselves.
At least, that was what the different kingdoms had thought before news of someone from the Flying Sword Sect having reached the Domain Lord Realm! With the appearance of a Domain Lord within the Flying Sword Sect. The surrounding kingdoms not only decided not to involve themselves with the sects of the former Heavenly Sky Kingdom, but instead became worried about the upcoming expansion of the Flying Sword Sect.
After all, a sect that could produce a Domain Lord, would be far more valued than a kingdom with someone at the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm…
While kingdoms were way more valued than a sect in the current day of the Ewaria Continent, a sect that could produce someone at the Domain Lord Realm was still far more valued than a kingdom where the strongest person was in the Nascent Soul Realm…
People in the Domain Lord Realm were rare enough in the first place and given how long their lifespan was, some even being able to live up to ten thousand years, Domain Lords were the main players and strength inside of an Empire!
In turn, this had also resulted in most wars between empires being fought between the Domain Lords of the empires involved. Rarely would the Soul Ascension Realm Experts act themselves.
After all, they were the true core of an empire! Even a single Soul Ascension Realm Expert dying, would be a disaster no matter which empire it was!
If the empire in question only had a single person at the Soul Ascension Realm, his or her death would directly spell the end of said empire!
Take the Sky Empire as an example.
The Sky Empire was known for being one of the stronger empires on the Ewaria Continent. Having at least two people at the Soul Ascension Realm. Namely the Great Sky Emperor, current ruler of the Sky Empire and the ancestor of the Sky Empire's royal family.
If even a single one of the two Soul Ascension Realm Experts perished, the Sky Empire would directly lose half of their combat potential in one go. Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
Other than weakening the Sky Empire, it would also cause the Domain Lords under them to leave and join another stronger empire. After all, the main reason some of them had joined the Sky Empire in the first place, was because it was one of the strongest empires on the continent!
In the worst-case scenario. Not only would the Domain Lords begin leaving, but the vassal kingdoms under them would try to break free and join another empire…
In essence, fighting between Soul Ascension Realm Experts was extremely rare and both parties tended to avoid it unless absolutely necessary.
The other part of it, was that the battle between people at the Soul Ascension Realm being way more destructive and all-encompassing compared to people at the Domain Lord Realm.
If a fight between to Domain Lords could easily result in the destruction of an entire kingdom if drawn out, a fight between Soul Ascension Realm Experts could result in the destruction of an entire empire!
With all of this considered, empires would normally try to confine the battles between themselves to fights between their Domain Lords.
In a sense, the highest level of fighting force in a war between empires would be Domain Lords, therefore, the more Domain Lords you had, the higher your chances of winning.
Finally, the more Domain Lords you had, the higher the chance that one of them would one day end up reaching the Soul Ascension Realm!
With all these things in mind, the surrounding kingdoms knew that they could not mess with the Flying Sword Sect.
Even if the Flying Sword Sect was not a direct vassal to the Sky Empire like they were, it would be stupid for them to try and use the name of the Sky Empire to take over the territory of the now gone Heavenly Sky Kingdom.
All things being considered, the Flying Sword Sect was now a force that they couldn't mess with. Now or in the future.
The main thing on these kingdoms mind at the moment being whether or not the Flying Sword Sect was going to expand outwards and begin taking over their territory now that they had someone in the Domain Lord Realm backing them up…

Chapter 372 - Elder Song Begins Stabilizing The Territory Of The Flying Sword Sect
You can read the novel fast updates at
With the neighbouring kingdoms not daring to invade in an attempt to take control of the former Heavenly Sky Kingdom's territory, the Flying Sword Sect was left completely alone.
Allowing Elder Song to put forth his plans of stabilizing the territory of the Flying Sword Sect without anyone coming to interfere…
Like this, over the next few months, Elder Song freely mobilized the elders of the Flying Sword Sect with the help of the Sect Master, Feng Chen.
Strengthening the Flying Sword Sects control over the sects and other powers inside their territory, by first of all establishing several new small sized branches each with an elder in control all around the territory to keep an eye on the different powers that existed under them.
After the branches had begun taking shape, Elder Song then proceeded to use the influence of the Flying Sword Sect to calm down the chaotic situation through the newly established branches.
Slowly but surely, the control of what had formerly been the northern part of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom and was part of the Flying Sword Sect in name only, began truly becoming a part of the Flying Sword Sect.
At the same time, the Spring Flower Sect was also beginning to exert their influence across eastern part of the now gone Heavenly Sky Kingdom.
The Seven Fates Sect, not one to fall behind, had also begun increasing their influence over their territory and due to the fact that they had already begun this before the fall of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom. Even began spreading inwards towards what had once been the central region of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom in the past.
Like this, the former territory of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom was quickly being absorbed by the three sects.
…
"The Flying Sword Sect…? Are you sure that someone in the Domain Lord Realm appeared in such a place?"
At the same time, in a large city located far away from the Flying Sword Sect, a man looked over towards an old man standing in front of him, a hint of curiosity briefly passing through his indifferent eyes.
"Yes, my lord, I recently received the news that one of our vassal kingdoms had been destroyed by another vassal kingdom and sent someone over to investigate if it had anything to do with the recent resurgence of the church of the plague god but found no leads to believers of the plague god at the battlefield.
According to the one I sent, news about one of the sects formerly under the vassal kingdom that ended up being destroyed had someone who broke through and reached the Domain Lord Realm. After fully investigating the sect in question, he confirmed that someone had indeed reached the Domain Lord Realm in that sect… But…"
Reaching the end of his explanation, the voice of the old man suddenly came to a stop as he hesitated on whether to continue or not.
"But…?" Raising an eyebrow upon suddenly seeing the hesitation on the old man's face, the man grew a bit more curious as he signalled for him to continue his explanation.
"But he never responded again after sending that message… I think that something might have happened to the investigator, what if the Domain Lord from the Flying Sword Sect-"
"Stop! You should know what it would mean for us to offend a Domain Lord just based on something like this! Moreover, what would we do if that Domain Lord leaves and decides to join the Onyx Empire!? Wouldn't we just be handing them a brand-new Domain Lord that is more than eager to fight us!? Don't forget how General Bi Sheng ended up joining the Onyx Empire!" Forcefully stopping the old man before he could say anything more, the man narrowed his eyes as he looked over the old man.
"The matter of General Bi Sheng's disciple is already in the past! What happened back then was a mistake and we won't repeat such a thing-"
"Quiet! You can leave for now and report the news about the appearance of a new Domain Lord accordingly, I will take care of the matter regarding the disappearance of the investigator and find out how it's related to the Domain Lord from the Flying Sword Sect!" Not wanting to continue listening to the old man any further, the indifferent looking man directly threw the old man out of the room before descending to handle the matter by himself.
Bang!
Watching as the door the room snapped shut just as he was out of the room, the old man could not help looking towards the room with a resentful expression on his face before taking his leave.
"Just you wait! Damned brat…" Muttering these words while leaving the old man looked back one last time before disappearing around a nearby corner.
…
"Hah, they are getting more and more impatient… Even if they want me screw up, can they at least not make it less obvious?"
Back inside the room, the indifferent looking man let out a sigh as he motioned towards the corner of the room as a nearby shadow soon began moving before slowly martializing into the shape of a shadowy person.
"Your highness, do you want me to deal with that old man?"
"No need, he is merely a pawn of my dear brother… I know he has been wanting to take over my position as the crown prince now that father is looking for someone to take over before entering the ancestral grounds to cultivate with the ancestor.
However, he has been getting more and more impatient for me to make a mistake over the past few years…"
Waving his hand dismissively as he said this, the man revealed the identity of the old man without even bothering to hide it.
A pawn of his brother, the second prince of the Sky Empire! NvεlB¡n: Inspiring Minds, Illuminating Souls.
Yes, the man inside the room was none other than the Crown Prince of the Sky Empire! The person next in line to become the emperor of the Sky Empire!

Chapter 373 - Reward For Completing The Sect Quest...
"Your highness, how should we deal with the Domain Lord from the Flying Sword Sect and the disappearance of the investigator…?"
Inside the room, the shadowy person with a voice sounding neither like a man or a woman asked the crown prince after seeing that he didn't want to deal with the old man.
"Hm… For now, just send over two shadows to find out what really happened to the investigator, as for the Domain Lord from the Flying Sword Sect… If I'm not wrong, father will be setting up a sect alliance to weaken the influence of those damnable churches.
Given that he is from a sect, he will likely have his Flying Sword Sect join the sect alliance! At that time, I should be able to get chance to see him personally…" Smiling slightly as he said this, the crown prince motioned towards the shadowy person in front of him, who nodded in response before slowly merging together with the surrounding shadows and disappearing from the room to carry out the orders of the crown prince. The initial instance of this chapter being available happened at N0v3l.Bin.
Whoosh~
"Hah…"
Watching as the shadowy person disappeared from the room. Leaving him completely alone, the crown prince could not help but let out a sigh of exhaustion as he sat down.
Slowly taking out a communication talisman before beginning to contact someone.
…
Different from the undercurrent of the Imperial Capital of the Sky Empire, the Flying Sword Sect had been going through several different changes over the past few months.
The most important being the fact that Elder Song had large success in spreading the elders out across the territory of the Flying Sword Sect in an attempt to increase the sects influence and control over the region.
On the other hand, the lectures by Xuan Hao and the other Core Elders, had also been a major success with both the inner and outer disciples. Many of them had even managed to breakthrough during the past few months and reach a brand-new realm.
Overall, the reputation of Xuan Hao, had seen the greatest change, as he went from a relatively unknown core elder that not many of the disciples had seen before, to an elder that had personally taught them and helped them improve.
Though, he was still nowhere near the level of adoration that the disciples held for Elder Song…
No, after personally experiencing how the disciples viewed Elder Song, Xuan Hao felt that he would probably never be able to reach that level of adoration unless he began dedicating all his time to helping the disciples of the Flying Sword Sect…
Well, being regarded as a kind and helpful elder is more than enough…
Thinking this to himself as he knew that he would never be able to do what Elder Song did on daily basis, Xuan Hao slowly made his way back from his last lecture before the new elders would take over and teach the disciples.
[Sect Quest: From today and until the date set up by the Sect Master of the Flying Sword Sect is reached, you must teach the inner and outer sect disciples for at least one hour every week. (complete)]
Just as he was about to take another step forward, the message of the sect quest's completion arrived.
I wonder what the reward will be… According to what it said, the reward will vary depending on how much the disciples I taught managed to learn…
Given that I heard about quite a few breaking through and improving their cultivation realm after listening to my lecture, it should at the very least not be too bad…
With this in mind, Xuan Hao curiously looked down towards the reward part below the sect quest's description.
[During the Sect Quest, a total of 142 disciples broke through a minor realm in the Qi Condensation Realm, 24 broke through a minor realm in the Foundation Establishment Realm and a total of 7 broke through from the Qi Condensation Realm to the Foundation Establishment Realm after listening to your lecture]
[Reward, choose one: Seven Petal Sky Flower or Heaven Splitting Sword Art]
"…"
Looking at the reward, Xuan Hao didn't know whether to be happy or start crying.
The reward was extremely good and just what he needs, the Heaven Splitting Sword Art, clearly being a sword art that would help improve his strength and add a much-needed new combat technique, while the Seven Petal Sky Flower was one of the Mystic Grade natural treasures needed for the Qi Gathering Formation…
All in all, things would have been great… But he could only choose one of the two…
Why had the system given him such a choice all of a sudden instead of just giving him one of the two without letting him see the other?
Xuan Hao had no clue and almost felt like the system wanted to torture him by having to give up one of the two things he needed.
No matter what he ended up choosing at this point, he would still end up being left with a feeling of emptiness at having let go of the chance to get one of the two.
The Heaven Splitting Sword Art being a combat technique involving swords, though its rank was not directly written down, Xuan Hao had a feeling that it should be a powerful sword art from its name alone.
The Seven Petal Sky Flower on the other hand, was a spiritual flower that was at least at the Mystic Grade and was a wind related natural treasure and would have him require only one more mystic grade natural treasure before needing to look for a Transcendent grade one to use as the formation core.
Other than that, the Seven Petal Sky Flower, could also be above the mystic grade…
All in all, he had no clue what rank the Heaven Splitting Sword Art was and at the same time had no idea what rank the Seven Petal Sky Flower was at either. All he knew was that the Seven Petal Sky Flower Would at least have reached the Mystic Grade…

Chapter 374 - Winged Lion's New Life~!
[Reward, choose one: Seven Petal Sky Flower or Heaven Splitting Sword Art]
Looking over the two different rewards and going over the benefit that each of them would give him, Xuan Hao ended up choosing the Heaven Splitting Sword Art.
No matter how useful the Seven Petal Sky Flower would be for him in the creation of the Qi Gathering Formation, there was no way it could outweigh the benefits that a new sword art could possibly bring him.
Especially a high rank sword art!
"Hah…" The initial instance of this chapter being available happened at N0v3l.Bin.
Feeling some regret at losing the opportunity to get one of the natural treasures he needs for the Qi Gathering Formation, Xuan Hao slowly chose the Heaven Splitting Sword Art.
[Reward chosen: Heaven Splitting Sword Art]
Watching the words representing the Seven Petal Sky Flower Slowly disappear before a new line of words appeared and replaced the last one, Xuan Hao was about to sigh once again before a book suddenly martialized in the air in front of him without any prior warning.
Whoosh!
Not expecting the reward to just materialize by itself all of a sudden, Xuan Hao quickly grabbed hold of it before putting it away in his interspatial ring.
No matter what, he was still on his way back to his pavilion and there were both disciples and elders walking by around him at the moment!
Looking around after having put the book that materialized in front of him, Xuan Hao let out a sigh of relief upon discovering the fact that none of the people around him seemed to have discovered the book that had suddenly martialized directly in front of him without any prior warning.
For some reason, the system seemed to have begun doing its best to be troublesome this time around…
Whoosh~
Lest anything more troublesome happened, Xuan Hao directly flew into the air before rushing back to his pavilion. Not wanting the system to suddenly begin doing something troublesome again.
…
Thumb
Landing back on the ground in front of his pavilion, Xuan Hao could not help smiling awkwardly with a new book in his hand.
During his short flight back towards his pavilion, two more books suddenly began materializing one after the other like the first book before the total number of books reached three.
At least he had the foresight to leave before the other two books appeared…
"Elder Xuan? Did anything happen during your last lecture? Do you need me to brew some tea?" In the process of removing a few leaves that had fallen down in front of the entrance to the pavilion from the large tree situated just beside it, Zhi Ruo was caught off-guard as she suddenly saw Xuan Hao appear with a somewhat angry look on his face.
"No, it's nothing, you can just continue what you were doing before." Seeing the worried expression on Zhi Ruo's face, Xuan Hao quickly realized that he might have looked a bit angry when he thought about the books that had suddenly appeared out the blue on after the other and decided to calm down before kindly refusing her offer.
"I see, then I will return to what I was doing." Nodding her head with a relieved expression on her face, Zhi Ruo returned to cleaning up the entrance of the pavilion.
Fwoosh~
A small wind quickly swept through the area as it carried the remaining few leaves in front of the pavilion over towards a small pile of leaves at the side.
Watching this, Xuan Hao smiled approvingly and entered the pavilion.
Over the past few months, Zhi Ruo had managed to finally reach the Qi Condensation Realm and at this point, she had already managed to breakthrough to reach the Fifth Stage of the Qi Condensation Realm!
Her fast improvement after entering the Qi Condensation Realm was not only because she had attended a lot of his lectures together with Bai Ning over the past few months but was also because she had helped Qing Yi in testing out some of her finished pills and potions for increasing the speed of cultivation.
Chu Yang had of course also joined this testing session, though he had ended up testing the more… Unique pills and potions made by Qing Yi…
Thinking about how Qing Yi and Chu Yang had begun training together even more than before after Bai Ning's arrival in an attempt to show off to their new junior brother, Xuan Hao could not help smiling to himself while he made his way towards his room at the centre of the pavilion.
The past few months had been really peaceful, and he didn't have anything to do outside the sect.
The only notable thing that happened inside the sect was when he showed off the winged lion to the Sect Master and the rest of the Core Elders…
Their Expressions back then was a sight to behold and after discussing about where to put the winged lion, they all ended up agreeing to letting the Beast Tamers help take care of it, while it would mainly stay at Xuan Hao's pavilion until they made a more permanent place for it to stay.
The winged lion agreed to this suggestion without any struggle, even the beast tamers who were allowed to come and take care of it were accepted by the winged lion as it mostly just spent its time lazing around at the back side of the pavilion.
Having the beast tamers bring it food whenever it was hungry and sleep when it was not…
In a sense, the winged lion had returned to the same state that it had been back at the Main Peak of the Shattered Star Peaks…
The only difference being that it didn't sleep for a long time and would instead wake up at least once a day to get the beast tamers to bring it something to eat.
The time this happened varied a lot, sometimes being in the middle of the night, while at others early in the morning or around dinner…

Chapter 375 - Blood Punisher, Creator Of The Heaven Splitting Sword Art!
Arriving at his room, Xuan Hao entered and soon found a place to sit down before he took out the three books that he had gotten from the sect quest. Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
Heaven Splitting Sword Art, Volume One… Two… Three…
Examining the three books, Xuan Hao quickly found out that all of them were a part of the Heaven Splitting Sword Art, just that sword art in question was split up into three different volumes.
This alone was a sign that the Heaven Splitting Sword Art was a high-level sword art… At Xuan Hao thought so until he opened the first volume and began reading it.
In essence, the first volume contained no sword art, instead it contained the legendary exploits of the sword art's creator who called himself Blood Punisher, though it sounded like nothing more than someone bragging about all the things they had allegedly done… Just reading through the entire first volume was a challenge in itself…
"Did I… Perhaps make a mistake…?" Muttering this to himself as he began realizing the fact that he might have lost the opportunity to get his hands on a Mystic Grade Natural Treasure for three books filled with the heroic exploits of some random crazy person, Xuan Hao felt like he wanted cry as he picked up the second volume and began reading.
Even if he didn't want to continue reading the last two volumes, he at the very least had to see if there was a sword art hidden inside the three books.
In the end, the second volume was not better than the first volume. Mainly going over how the legendary Blood Punisher himself had fought of a legion of immortals while at the same time using his legendary blood arts to revive an entire race that had just been wiped out by the legion of immortals he was fighting.
"…"
Without saying anything about the second volume, Xuan Hao slowly picked up the third the third volume.
"A sword art!?"
Having expected for the third volume to just be the same as the other two, Xuan Hao could not help exclaiming in surprise upon turning the first page and seeing a sword art instead of yet another story about the awesomeness of the Blood Punisher… Not really that he knew what that name even meant in the first place.
Maybe it was because he was skilled when it came to the Dao of Blood and Blood Techniques? But why the name Blood Punisher?
Not wanting to continue thinking too much about the creator of the Heaven Splitting Sword Art, Xuan Hao began reading through the sword art and soon found himself immersed in a brand-new world.
Very quickly, Xuan Hao realized that the Heaven Splitting Sword Art was far above any sword art he had ever come in contact with. Even the Untold Swords Mantra could not be compared to it.
Meaning that the Heaven Splitting Sword Art was likely above the Heaven Rank!
The appearance of a sword art above the Heaven Rank would easily be enough to cause even those at the Soul Ascension Realm to come out!
The sword art was divided into three moves.
Earth Splitting, Sky Splitting and Heaven Splitting.
The main requirements of each move being in one's current sword realm.
To perform Earth Splitting, it required him to comprehend a sword domain.
Sky Splitting required him to reach the realm of a sword soul, that was likely the realm after a sword domain.
"Hm? The Heaven Splitting is missing…"
Not knowing what to say, Xuan Hao could not help cursing out silently when he realized that the last move, Heaven Splitting, was not present in the third volume of the Heaven Splitting Sword Art.
He managed to get his hand on the Heaven Splitting Sword Art, but the Heaven Splitting sword move was missing…
At least he did not end up with another one of the Blood Punisher's stories and even learned about the name of the realm that would come after a sword domain… But for some reason, he did not feel happy about this and just felt like he had been scammed…
"Hah… No use thinking about it, I still got my hands on two new sword moves from a sword art that is likely above the Heaven Rank!" Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao slowly began reading through the third volume of the Heaven Splitting Sword Art once again.
The First move, Earth Splitting, was the move that he decided to focus on first. Mainly because he fulfilled the requirement of having comprehended a sword domain and at the same time because it was the first move mentioned in the Heaven Splitting Sword Art.
Slowly, Xuan Hao began immersing himself in comprehending the first move, Earth Splitting. Only to be taken out from his concentrated state of mind by the random sentences thrown in by the Blood Punisher every now and then, bragging about how awesome his Heaven Splitting Sword Art was…
Through this experience, Xuan Hao sincerely hoped that he would never have to experience the pain of trying to understand anything written by Blood Punisher ever again.
The sheer difficulty was far above anything he had ever read before, this was not only because the level of the sword art was above normal, but also because of how bad the creator was at writing down even a small part of the sword art before mentioning how awesome he was and how strong his sword art was…
Just reading and memorizing the first move ended up taking him more than a few hours, where it would normally only have taken him a few minutes! Simply because he had to exclude the sentences where Blood Punisher bragged about himself from the sword move itself…
"Hah…"
Closing the third volume of the Heaven Splitting Art, Xuan Hao let out a sigh of exhaustion. Not looking forward to opening the book again to go over the second move, Sky Splitting in the future.
For now at least, learning the first move should be more than enough to keep him busy for a while…

Chapter 376 - Fire Explosion Potion!
Leaving aside the matter of training in the first move of the Heaven Splitting Sword Art, Earth Splitting, Xuan Hao instead turned to leave his room before heading towards the location of the alchemy room where Qing Yi had been spending most of her time over the past few months.
Using most of her time on improving her skill in alchemy so she would be ready for the upcoming alchemy competition. If she was not there, she would either be at the Alchemy Hall or training together with Chu Yang.
The last few weeks had been especially intense for Qing Yi, as the date of the alchemy competition slowly grew closer.
At this point in time, she would rarely leave the alchemy room in the pavilion, asking Zhi Ruo to get her any of the herbs she needed while she would remain focused on trying her best to improve her skill.
Not without any success, as even though her cultivation realm had not improved by a lot compared to Chu Yang who solely focused on increasing his cultivation realm, Qing Yi had managed to reach the peak of the Journeyman Alchemist Realm. Only a single step away from reaching the realm of an Expert Alchemist!
Her rapid rate of improvement had not only stunned Xuan Hao, but also the elders of the alchemy hall.
This had in turn caused the elders of the alchemy hall to fully support Qing Yi with any spiritual herbs she needed, as they looked forward to her performance in the upcoming alchemy competition.
Xuan Hao on the other hand… Began growing worried that the Artisan Alchemist from the Sky Empire would really attempt to steal his disciple away!
Even if he himself had improved a lot by learning several new recipes fitting for the level of an Artisan Alchemist, he still felt it was lacking.
After all, the other party was an Artisan Alchemist from the Sky Empire! There was no way he would ever be able to have access to as many different and high-level recipes that someone belonging to the Sky Empire would!
The only thing he could do at this point was try the unique recipes that the system had so graciously bestowed upon him…
Even if they were not as useful as the other recipes that the Flying Sword Sect had stored up over the years, they were still of a way higher level and would help him familiarize himself with the alchemy knowledge that he had been given by the system…
Not wanting to think too much about the system recipes, Xuan Hao came to a stop in a more secluded part of the pavilion. This was his destination and also the small corner of the pavilion that had been solely dedicated to either storing spiritual herbs or practicing alchemy after Qing Yi spent a week transforming the place together with Zhi Ruo.
Whoosh~
"Master!?"
Before Xuan Hao even had a chance to knock on the door, Qing Yi who had been standing at the other side suddenly swung the door open. Looking like she was about to rush over towards the storage room just behind him filled to the brim with all kinds of different spiritual herbs that the elders from the alchemy hall had brought over.
"Hello there, Qing Yi, just continue what you were doing before and ignore me." Smiling a bit as he noticed how she had begun anxiously glancing over in the direction of the spiritual herbs located in the storage room behind him.
"Thank you!"
Whoosh!
Not saying much more than that, Qing Yi rushed into the storage room before grabbing onto a small bundle of dried star flower leaves before rushing back into the alchemy room she came from with a worried expression on her face.
"…" Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
Xuan Hao just observed Qing Yi as she began preparing the leaves before beginning to add them into a small cauldron filled with a pink coloured boiling liquid that looked like it was just about to boil over a spill onto the ground beside the cauldron.
Psh~
Watching as the leaves of the star flower were added to the mixture, Xuan Hao could not help but smile approvingly at Qing Yi as the boiling pink liquid began calming down before slowly changing into a yellowish red colour.
For now, it looked like Qing Yi had managed to calm down the mixture in time.
"So, what are you making?" Feeling a bit curious about the mixture in the cauldron, Xuan Hao could not stop himself from asking the moment things had calmed down and Qing Yi got the situation under control.
"I'm making a Fire Explosion Potion… I just changed a few of the ingredients to make it more… Potent and things almost ended up backfiring on me…"
"Fire Explosion Potion…" Muttering the name of the potion to himself as he slowly made his way over towards the cauldron before inspecting the mixture inside, Xuan Hao quickly remembered what he knew about the potion.
The Fire Explosion Potion was on the lower end of what a normal Journeyman Alchemist could make, but it was not to be underestimated because of this! While not too hard to make for a new Journeyman Alchemist, the Fire Explosion Potion, as its name suggested, would cause a large fiery explosion.
When thrown out, the potion would rapidly absorb a large amount of fire qi from the surroundings upon contact before using the quickly gathered fire qi to cause a large fiery explosion. Damaging anyone within a few meters of where it landed.
The strength of the Fire Explosion Potion was not too weak and not too strong either, having enough power to easily hurt someone in the Foundation Establishment Realm, but having a hard time truly doing any permanent damage unless the target was below the Foundation Establishment Realm.
However, this did not affect the value of the potion in the eyes of the disciples. Not only was the Fire Explosion Potion easy to produce, but it was by far one of the best tools for disciples adventuring outside.
Its main use being scaring off demon beasts, as the large explosion would in some case even be able to scare off demon beasts at the Core Formation Realm. Allowing the disciples more than enough time to escape or launch an attack towards the confused and scared demon beast.
"Wait… You said you made it more potent… How much more potent are we talking?" Remembering the last few words Qing Yi had said, Xuan Hao suddenly realized that his disciple might have ended up in a really bad situation if the mixture boiled over and fell onto the ground below.
Given the fact that it was a Fire Explosion Potion… The mixture would likely have caused a large explosion upon hitting the ground and in turn ignited the rest of the mixture into an even large explosion!
Given how much she had made, part of his pavilion might have ended up disappearing before he could even react and use his ice domain to stop the explosion from spreading…
"It should be enough to hurt someone at the Core Formation!" Not realizing how dangerous the situation had been only a short moment ago, Qing Yi proudly told her master how much stronger her Fire Explosion Potion was.
"I see… Mind if I try it out?"
"No… But it will need to cool down first before it can be transported- Ah!"
Before Qing Yi could finish what, she was saying, Xuan Hao directly used his ice domain to cool down the boiling liquid inside the cauldron before picking up a small potion bottle and filling it up with the liquid mixture that was Qing Yi's more potent version of a normal Fire Explosion Potion.
Inspecting the small potion bottle now filled to the brim with Qing Yi's more potent Fire Explosion mixture, Xuan Hao left the alchemy room with Qing Yi following closely behind him.
Soon, both of them made their way out of the pavilion and reached the training ground where Chu Yang curiously observed both of them. Not expecting Qing Yi or his master to suddenly show up.
"Master? Qing Yi? Are you here to train!?" Asking this with an excited look in his eyes along with a rising fighting intent clearly visible to Qing Yi and Xuan Hao, Chu Yang walked over towards the two of them.
"No, master wanted to test one of my new potions…" Rolling her eyes as she said this, Qing Yi's words instantly caused Chu Yang's excited expression to dim down a bit.
Over the past few months, his time had mostly been spent at training and as Qing Yi was the only person who could currently spar with him on the mountain peak, Chu Yang constantly went to get her whenever he needed to test out a new spear move, he had come up with or another attack he had improved on since their last spar.
All things considered, Qing Yi had been interrupted by him a lot until she stopped Zhi Ruo from helping him find his way to her alchemy room…

Chapter 377 - Bai Ning's Growth
As Qing Yi and Chu Yang were talking with each other, Xuan Hao threw out the Fire Explosion Potion made by Qing Yi towards the large open space at the centre of the training ground.
Whoosh~ Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
The potion bottle flew through the air before landing on the ground. Drawing in the nearby fire qi that lingered peacefully in the air before exploding into a violent explosion.
Boom!
The explosion lasted for a short while before coming to a stop. Having caused both Chu Yang and Qing Yi to stop talking, as both of them looked towards the source of the explosion.
Chu Yang having a somewhat fearful look on his face while Qing Yi's eyes shone excitedly upon seeing how effective her more potent version of the Fire Explosion Potion had been.
"Looks like it will definitely be able to injure someone in the Core Formation Realm if they are caught off-guard… Good job Qing Yi! Just remember to be more careful in the future when making such dangerous potions. One wrong move and it could blow up in your face during the brewing process!" Nodding his head in admiration of the strength behind the Fire Explosion Potion, Xuan Hao didn't forget to warn Qing Yi to be more careful when handling something as dangerous as a Fire Explosion Potion.
It was not like there weren't any stories of alchemist dying due to their own concoction blowing up on them…
The danger of something like that happening was very real, especially when it came to the making of potions such as the Fire Explosion Potion. Caution was needed when handling such potions! Even if they were easy to make.
"Yes master…" Knowing that he was referring to how close she had been to just that happening, Qing Yi lowered her head a bit as she took his words to mind.
Even if she had wanted to improve the Fire Explosion Potion and had ultimately succeed, she was still way hurried in the process and almost ended blowing herself up as a result… No matter how much she had wanted to improve the potion in question, it was not worth risking her life over like she had done!
"It's good as long as you remember to be careful… You can spend some time training with Chu Yang, you have not moved outside for the last few days and really need to relax a bit before we begin leaving for the alchemy competition. "
Seeing that Qing Yi understood what he meant, Xuan Hao nodded his head before making his way back towards the pavilion while leaving Qing Yi to train together with Chu Yang.
Even if it did not seem as like a relaxing thing to do, training together with Chu Yang was sure to help Qing Yi take her mind off alchemy and focus on something different.
"Yes…"
Not knowing what else to say when her master personally told her to train together with Chu Yang, she could only reluctantly accept as Chu Yang excitedly came over. Not having expected his master to personally deliver a training partner for him.
"Should we get start Qing Yi?" Smiling ear from ear as he said this with a wooden training spear in his hand, Chu Yang threw over a wooden training sword to Qing Yi.
"Hah… Let's do it!" Sighing a bit as she grabbed onto the wooden sword, Qing Yi accepted as both of them soon began a mock fight with neither side losing. Mainly due to the fact both of them limited their strength so as to focus more on the skill of their techniques instead of pure strength.
After all, Chu Yang was still stronger than Qing Yi and during the past few months, the gap had only widened due to the fact Qing Yi was single-mindedly focusing on improving her alchemy.
Even then, Qing Yi had still managed to reach the seventh stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm… But in the end, it was not even close to Chu Yang, who had already reached the Peak of the Foundation Establishment Realm. The Ninth Stage!
Not only that, but he had even begun preparing to breakthrough to the Core Formation Realm!
So, when it came to strength alone, Chu Yang was the strongest!
…
Leaving the training ground after having tested out the potion Qing Yi had made and at the same time handed her over to Chu Yang in an attempt to help her think of something other than alchemy and end up doing something dangerous again, Xuan Hao made his way over towards the direction of his third disciple, Bai Ning.
Over the past few months, Bai Ning had fully adapted to life in the Flying Sword Sect. At the same time, he had grown more comfortable with cultivating. Having reached the seventh stage of the Qi Condensation Realm.
While not improving as fast as Xuan Hao had expected, the growth of his cultivation realm was not the thing that Bai Ning had spent the most of his time focusing on.
Instead, that time had been used to increase his blacksmithing. Allowing him to go from an apprentice blacksmith to becoming a journeyman blacksmith!
The fact that he had become a journeyman blacksmith at such a young age had not only caused Xuan Hao to feel surprised, but even the elder he normally spent his time together with from the blacksmithing hall, Elder Teng Huo, was surprised upon personally witnessing the rapid growth of Bai Ning.
Even getting so courageous that he personally went to Xuan Hao and asked if he could give up Bai Ning and allow the blacksmithing hall to nurture him…
This was of course refused by Xuan Hao, as there was no way he would just give away any of his disciples.
Though this did allow him to understand something crucial, he not only had to worry about outside forces coming to take his disciples away, but also had to worry about the elders inside the sect coming to take them!

Chapter 378 - Weird Young Girl
Shaking his head as he threw those thoughts aside, Xuan Hao soon reached the place Bai Ning was currently staying and was not surprised in the slightest after noticing a certain elder from the blacksmithing hall.
Elder Teng Huo was that certain elder and after having been refused by Xuan Hao in his attempt to take Bai Ning to the blacksmithing hall, he had ended up convincing Xuan Hao to allow him to visit Bai Ning every now and then to both help him improve his blacksmithing skills and at the same time have someone to talk about blacksmithing with.
Overall, Xuan Hao wanted to refuse, but Bai Ning had already expressed his desire to spend more of his time at the blacksmithing hall just so he could have someone to talk with… So, thinking that he might spend some more time in the pavilion, Xuan Hao had allowed Teng Huo to come over once a week.
At the very least, Teng Huo seemed to have given up trying to take away Bai Ning after being allowed to come visit once a week…
Knowing that Bai Ning was likely busy talking about something blacksmithing related at the moment, Xuan Hao decided to not disturb him and instead decided to leave his pavilion before making his way down his mountain.
…
The scene below the mountain was a completely different compared to his mountain, as disciples and elders could constantly be seen going from one place to another.
Even if it was the inner part of the Flying Sword Sect, the place was still extremely busy due to most of the most frequented buildings were located there.
From the Mission Hall where the disciples took on different missions from the sect to gain experience and earn a few spirit stone, to the Artifact Hall where the marketplace set up by the disciples was located.
Not to mention the fact that things had gotten busy lately, with Elder Song stabilizing the territory of the Flying Sword Sect. Many new missions had appeared in the mission hall with extremely good rewards earlier in the day.
Xuan Hao knew that the new missions were put up by Elder Song, he had waited until after the new elders had been appointed and Xuan Hao along with the other three Core Elders finished their last lectures before putting them up.
The disciples who had refused to go out to adventure during the time Xuan Hao and the other three were teaching personally over the past few months, would suddenly find a sea of new missions with good rewards waiting there for them.
"I wonder what the missions were about…" Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao suddenly felt a bit curious as he decided to hide his presence before following the stream of disciples towards the Mission Hall.
The way there took longer than normal due to the large amount of people rushing over towards the Mission Hall, but this did not stop Xuan Hao. Soon finding himself in front of the Mission Hall that had a constant stream of people going in and out. The initial instance of this chapter being available happened at N0v3l.Bin.
If not for the fact that he had stood a bit to the side, Xuan Hao was certain that he would end up being dragged along with the crowd into the Mission Hall. At least if he was just a normal disciple…
"Ah! I was going to the Artifact Hall! I'm not going to the Mission Hall! Please stop for a mome-"
As if to affirm his thoughts, Xuan Hao watched a disciple at the Qi Condensation Realm try to pass through the stream of disciples only to end up getting swept away by it. Soon being pushed directly into the Mission Hall against his will…
"…"
The sight was quite funny as the disciple soon came out through another entrance along with a crowd of disciples leaving the Mission Hall, looking quite dishevelled as he soon turned to leave in a hurry.
"Are you here to take on one of the new missions as well? Grandpa Song said he put up mission for everyone! Even the elders should be able to find a mission for them!" Just as Xuan Hao was about to enter the Mission Hall, the voice of a young girl sounded out behind him.
"Are you talking to me…?"
"Yes? Who else would I be asking?"
Hearing the young girl, Xuan Hao turned around and looked over towards the young girl standing just behind him with a somewhat bewildered look on his face.
Given the fact that he had used his domain to hide himself, there should be no way for anyone to see him unless they had also reached the Domain Lord Realm or were stronger than him…
Looking over the young girl, Xuan Hao quickly examined every inch of her body within a split before an even more confused expression appeared on his face.
There was nothing extraordinary about the young girl other than the fact that she was around the Early stages of the Foundation Establishment Realm. Instead, what caught his attention was the fact that her body was way weaker than what someone at the Qi Condensation should have, to the point that even a normal person with no cultivation would have a stronger body than her!
"Ah, is it perhaps because there are so many people here…? It would indeed be hard for someone to know that you are speaking to them when you have never talked to them before…" Nodding her head as she said this, the young girl soon looked back up at Xuan Hao who had already managed to calm down as he was looking at her curiously.
"So, are you here to take on a mission as well?" Asking the question, she had asked at the start, the young girl looked up at Xuan Hao as she waited for him to answer.
"As well? Are you perhaps here to take on a mission?" Not answering her question, Xuan Hao instead picked up the last part of what the young girl said as he asked her with a curious expression on his face.
"Ah! Yes, I am! How did you know!? Grandpa Song said I shouldn't because it's dangerous… But I really want to try and do a mission! If you are going to do a mission, we can go together! Being two people is safer and I'm sure Grandpa Song won't punish me too badly when I get back if I'm doing it with someone else!"
"Sure, we can take on one of the easier missions and be back within an hour or two."
"Great! Let's go!"
Listening to the young girl, Xuan Hao felt his curiosity towards her increase even further. Agreeing to her request without much thought.
Other than finding out if the Grandpa Song mentioned by the young girl was Elder Song and her high cultivation realm for her age, Xuan Hao was interested in finding out about her weird ability to see him even when he hid with his domain…

Chapter 379 - Spiritual Herb Magnet?
You can read the novel fast updates at
Following the young girl into the busy Mission Hall, Xuan Hao was a little blown back upon witnessing how truly chaotic the situation inside the Mission Hall was… In the future, they needed to get an even bigger Mission Hall or maybe add on a few more Mission Halls. Separating the missions over these new halls through the strength needed for the missions.
Having a hall for the Foundation Establishment Realm missions, one for the Core Formation Realm and so on…
"So, do you have any kind of mission that you had been looking forward to do doing…?" Having looked around enough, Xuan Hao turned his attention back towards the young girl.
Even if he wanted to take on a mission that was easy and quick to complete, he still had to listen to what the young girl wanted to do.
After all, for now at least, it looked like she still had no clue who he was and might even have mistaken him for a disciple like herself…
Hearing Xuan Hao, the young girl thought about it for a moment before walking up to the place where missions for the Foundation Establishment were located.
"We can do this one!" Squeezing her way into the crowd of disciples before coming back out with a mission in hand, the young girl happily showed it off to Xuan Hao.
[Gather Herbs for the Alchemy Hall]
[Description: Gather Herbs for the Alchemy Hall, any herbs are acceptable, be it Mortal Grade Spiritual Herbs or normal herbs. Normal herbs or Mortal Grade spiritual herbs can be found in the forest surrounding the sect.]
[Recommended Strength: Vary depending on the grade of the spiritual herb, normal herbs require no strength to gather.]
[Reward: Depends on the quality of the herb brought back. Possible rewards are spirit stones, potions, pills or artifacts]
[Time Limit: No Time Limit]
[Special Notice: This mission is repeatable. Please don't remove it from the mission board!]
"Are you sure you want to do this mission…?" Trying his best not to say anything rude to the young girl after noticing the last part written down on the mission, Xuan Hao discreetly got her to hand it over to him as he asked before using his strength to put the mission back onto the mission board without the young girl noticing anything.
"Yes! I always get a lot of different herbs from Grandpa Song, and I really wanted to see how they are gathered!" Nodding her head, oblivious to what Xuan Hao was doing, the young girl was full of excitement as she answered truthfully with a pure smile on her face.
"I see… Then we will take on this mission!" Agreeing with her, Xuan Hao and the young girl soon left the mission hall.
Registering the mission was not needed, as it was not a personal mission given by an elder or a disciple, but the sect. All they would need to do was to hand in the herbs after they had gathered them, and the sect would pay them accordingly.
From Xuan Hao's perspective, this mission was perfect. At most taking a few hours to complete and at the same time far one of the closest missions. Only having them visit the forest close to the sect to gather a few herbs.
A few hours should be more than enough time for him to figure out what was so special about the young girl…
At least that was what Xuan Hao had thought, but after walking together with her to the forest and even using his system to try and find out if she had a high talent or special physique, Xuan Hao still had no way to find out why the young girl was so special.
For the first time, Xuan Hao's system showed nothing when he had tried inspecting the young girl to find out if she had any special physique or high natural talent.
Scanning her with his divine sense and domain several times yielded no results as well, causing Xuan Hao to grow even more curious about the young girl and the reason as to why the system for the first time ever didn't work on someone.
Not only that, but during their small journey to the forest closest to the Flying Sword Sect located just a few hundred meters away from the Flying Sword City, Xuan Hao managed to learn that the young girl was blind…
Though she had explained that she was not completely fine and could still barely see the blurry outlines of people and objects a few meters in front of her, but this was still more than enough to shock Xuan Hao.
After all, she had walked like a completely normal person, and he hadn't noticed different about her in that regard.
Looking a bit closer after hearing this, Xuan Hao had indeed noticed how different her eyes were. Realizing that her eyes were a little white or cloudy in colour.
Not only that, but Xuan Hao felt something inexplainable as he looked into her pair of cloudy eyes. Almost like something was hidden beneath the surface.
"I-is something wrong…?" Noticing how Xuan Hao had come to a stop as he stared directly into her eyes, the young girl nervously asked. Different from her earlier energetic self.
"No, it's nothing, I've just never met someone like you before, so I was a bit curious… We should get started so we can finish the mission before it starts getting dark!" Answering honestly, Xuan Hao and the young girl reached the forest just outside the Flying Sword City.
The forest was different from the demon beast forest used during the entrance test for the sect and didn't contain any dangerous demon beast. Most of the demon beasts that were there would at most have reached the first of second stage of the Qi Condensation Realm.
The reason for this was that the Flying Sword Sect would often clean up the area around the sect, so as to make sure there weren't any dangerous demon beasts around.
Overall, the area surrounding the Flying Sword Sect was safe. Most of the place being cleared out by the elders and disciples on a daily basis.
The only somewhat dangerous place around the Flying Sword Sect was the demon beast forest and that was kept tightly under watch by a few elders around the clock, so as to ensure none of the demon beasts inside left and ended up causing chaos outside…
Well as much chaos as a few demon beasts in the Qi Condensation Realm could cause…
…
During the entire mission to gather a few herbs, Xuan Hao mostly stood to the side as he watched while the young girl easily found several Mortal Grade spiritual herbs along with a single Earth Grade spiritual herb that should not even have been present inside the forest just next to a large city…
The fact that the young girl so easily found several rare herbs with close to no effort, once again caused Xuan Hao to grow more curious.
Perhaps there was something special about her eyes?
"H-help!"
His thoughts were quickly interrupted as he saw the young girl in question run over towards him with a fearful expression on her face, a small squirrel demon beast barely at the first stage of the Qi Condensation Realm chasing after her from behind.
"…"
Is she really that weak…?
Not knowing what to think as he watched someone at the Foundation Establishment Realm fearful escape from a small squirrel demon beast at the first stage of the Qi Condensation Realm, Xuan Hao waved his hand as the small squirrel demon beast directly froze on the spot. Having turned into an ice sculpture.
"Hah… Hah… That was scary… Grandpa Song was right, the outside world truly is dangerous!" Not aware of what Xuan Hao was thinking, the young girl sat down on the ground with an exhausted look on her face before turning her head over in the direction of Xuan Hao.
"Thanks for saving me! I Really don't know how I would have ended up without you help!"
"No problem…"
Feeling a bit weird being thanked for helping her, Xuan Hao's attention soon focused on the herb in her hand.
"Is that…"
"Yes, the demon beast was guarding this herb! With how strong it was, I'm sure this is a precious spiritual herb! According to what Grandpa Song told me, precious spiritual herbs are always guarded by strong demon beasts!"
"…"
Feeling speechless yet again, Xuan Hao looked over towards the squirrel that had turned into an ice sculpture after having been frozen by his ice domain. The initial posting of this chapter occurred via noovelllbbin
While the strength of the demon beast is not that strong, the spiritual herb is indeed precious… How did she even manage to find something like this here in the first place?
The spiritual herb in question was a Spirit Grade spiritual herb! Normally something like that would be guarded by a demon beast in the Core Formation Realm! Not a small squirrel in the first stage of the Qi Condensation Realm!
Not to mention the fact that they were currently inside a small forest located only a few hundred meters away from the Flying Sword City…
Was the young girl perhaps a spiritual herb magnet?

Chapter 380 - Meeting Elder Gong Bo And Preparing To Leave
The initial posting of this chapter occurred via noovelllbbin
"Do you perhaps know what kind of spiritual herb this is?!" Not knowing why Xuan Hao didn't respond, the young girl curiously asked with a questioning look plastered all over her face. Moving the Spirit Grade spiritual herb in her hand forward for Xuan Hao to get a better view of it.
"Yes, it's an Earth Flower Root…" Not wanting to tell her about how surprised he had been at her finding such a rare herb, Xuan Hao decided to just tell her the name of the herb that she had found.
"Really!? Earth Flower Root… I hope we can get a lot for this when we return to the sect! With such a powerful demon beast guarding it, I'm sure it will be worth a lot!"
Looking even more fascinated than before after having heard the name of the spiritual herb in her hands, the young girl quickly put the herb into a small bag together with the other herbs she had managed to gather so far.
"Let's return to the sect for now, it's already starting to get dark."
"It's already getting dark? I thought we could at least gather a few more herbs before we needed to head back…" Feeling disappointed at the fact that she would have to return to the sect again after having so much fun gathering herbs outside, the young girl clenched the small bag filled with herbs. Deep in though about something.
"Don't you have to return back home before your Grandpa Song realizes you are gone?"
"Ah! I forgot about that!"
Jumping up in surprise upon hearing what Xuan Hao said, the young girl soon began moving at lightning pace back towards the Flying Sword Sect.
Seeing this, Xuan Hao could only smile wryly as he followed after the young girl back towards the Flying Sword Sect.
…
"I hope we can meet again and gather herbs together like today! It was really fun! I have to hurry back before Grandpa Song returns… Bye!"
Waving both her hands as the young girl's figure disappeared into the constant stream of disciples in front of the Mission Hall, Xuan Hao could not help smiling a bit.
Even though the day had not gone the way he had expected.
Meeting a rather extraordinary disciple and going on a mission to gather herbs together with them, Xuan Hao still felt that his day was well spent.
During the mission, while he had not managed to figure out anything regarding what made the young girl special, he had at the very least managed to conclude that the Grandpa Song she was talking about, was indeed Elder Song.
So, in the future, he would be able to easily find the girl again through Elder Song if he got some clues about her special condition.
"Now that I think about it, I never asked her what her name was… Neither did she ever ask me about mine…" Muttering this to himself as he began walking back towards his pavilion, Xuan Hao could not help shaking his head.
Next time he met the young girl, he should make sure that he managed to get her name.
"Elder Xuan! What are you doing here!?"
Walking along the path back towards his pavilion, Xuan Hao suddenly heard a voice call out behind him as he quickly realized that he had not used his domain to hide himself this time around.
"Hello…?"
"Gong Bo! I'm an elder from the Alchemy Hall!"
"Ah, Elder Gong Bo… What can I help you with?"
Looking over towards the elder who had called out to him, Xuan Hao was met with the sight of a short elderly man whose face donned one of the most splendid beards he had ever seen.
Alchemy Hall? Does he perhaps want to talk about something related to the Alchemy Competition?
Thinking about this, Xuan Hao suddenly realized that while the Alchemy Competition was still a few weeks off from starting, they would still have to reach the location of the competition itself!
"We have been discussing the best time to leave for the alchemy competition and though it would be best to leave in two days' time… This way, we will be able to reach the location for the competition a few days before it starts. At the same time, we will also have more time in case some delays appear along the journey!"
Listening to Elder Gong Bo as he affirmed his thoughts, Xuan Hao nodded his head in understanding. The location of the Alchemy Competition was not really located anywhere close to the Flying Sword Sect in the first place and the only reason they had even delayed the departure until this point was due to the fact that Xuan Hao would come along with them. Allowing them to more safely travel without having to worry too much about possible attacks along the way.
"I understand Elder Gong Bo, you don't have to worry, I'm more than ready to leave now that my lectures for the outer and inner disciples finished."
"That's great! I will go back and inform the others that we are leaving in two days! Ah, can I trouble you to inform Qing Yi about this as well?"
Watching as the elderly man was about to rush off before asking him this, Xuan Hao could not help but chuckle a bit at the sight of the elderly man almost tripping over his long beard in the process.
"No problem, she is after all my disciple. Informing her about this is not troubling at all."
"Thanks! I will be taking my leave then!"
Hearing Xuan Hao's answer, the elderly man didn't wait around for even a second longer before rushing in the direction of the Alchemy Hall.
"Haha, looks like the elders from the Alchemy Hall are quite an interesting bunch!" Laughing to himself as he watched Elder Gong Bo run off, Xuan Hao decided that he would have to visit the Alchemy Hall at some point in the future before making his way back towards his pavilion.
...
Knowing that he would be leaving the sect together with Qing Yi to head towards to location where the alchemist competition was going to be held, Xuan Hao began preparing a few different things for both Chu Yang and Bai Ning to do while he was gone.
Making sure that they would at least have a few things to do while he was gone and at the same time also asking Elder Song to look after them and help in case, they ran into trouble during the time he was gone.
Something Elder Song was more than happy to do for him. Even with his busy schedule.
Having settled the matter of his second and third disciple within only a few minutes of returning to the pavilion, Xuan Hao didn't forget to inform Qing Yi about the fact that they would be leaving in only two days.
"Two days!? I still haven't finished perfecting my-"
The sight of Qing Yi, who had suddenly become extremely panicked after hearing that she only had two days left before they left for the competition, caused Xuan Hao to sigh.
"You don't have to worry so much about it, I'm sure you will end up doing great in the competition." Trying his best to calm down his now panicking disciple, Xuan Hao smiled wryly as he wondered what she would act like when they reached the location of the competition.
Well, it's understandable she is acting like this… After all, the competition is hosted by an Artisan Alchemist who is from the Sky Empire-
"There is no way for me to get the first place without perfecting those recipes!"
"…"
Listening to what Qing Yi was saying, Xuan Hao suddenly realized that there might be another reason for her panicked state…
Shaking his head at this thought, Xuan Hao quickly calmed down Qing Yi before making his way towards the place where the winged lion was peacefully sleeping.
During his journey out of the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao knew that he would not be able to rush back to the sect in case something happened that Feng Chen could not handle while he was gone.
At first, Xuan Hao had been worried about this and had almost decided not to go with Qing Yi, but the presence of the winged lion changed his mind.
Now, with the winged lion present, Xuan Hao would not have to worry about anything happening to the Flying Sword Sect! Even if someone at the Domain Lord Realm showed up, they would now have to deal with the winged lion!
Roar?
Seeing Xuan Hao coming over, the winged lion let out a confused roar as it chewed down on a large grilled deer demon beast that the beast tamers had made for it.
The winged lion had already returned back to its original size at this point in time, as its large body took up most of the space behind the pavilion.
"I will have to ask you to protect the Flying Sword Sect over the next period of time… Soon, I will-"
Informing the winged lion about how he would be leaving for at least a month if not longer, Xuan Hao only left to return back to his quarters after seeing the winged lion understood that it would be protecting the Flying Sword Sect during the time he was not there.
With this, all his preparations were done and he was ready to leave for the alchemy competition together with Qing Yi!
Now all that was left to do, was wait until the day of departure arrived...

Chapter 381 - State Of Mind
The day for departure slowly approached as the news about the upcoming alchemy competition became more well known among the disciples of the Flying Sword Sect.
This in turn helped spread Qing Yi's name, as she had formerly been a mostly unknown individual due to the fact that she spent most of her time locked away in her own alchemy room in Xuan Hao's pavilion or was staying in the deeper parts of the Alchemy Hall where normal disciples not part of the Alchemy Hall wasn't allowed.
That she was a disciple of Xuan Hao only helped spread her reputation even further, as Qing Yi had essential ended up becoming an overnight celebrity inside the Flying Sword Sect. Even though the person herself still had no clue that she had suddenly become the main talking point among the majority of the disciples inside the Flying Sword Sect…
"Hm… We should be leaving tomorrow morning, but I still have not managed to fully learn those few potion and pill recipes…"
Muttering this to himself as he looked down at a few books laid out in front of him, Xuan Hao could not help but lament over the fact that he had not managed to learn even a fraction of the pill and potion recipes for the Artisan Realm that the Flying Sword Sect had.
The sheer number of potion and pill recipes easily numbered in the hundreds, but Xuan Hao had only managed to learn at most a few dozen over the past few months.
Nowhere near his original target of learning all of them before the alchemy competition…
The Artisan Alchemist from the Sky Empire would surely have access to more than recipes than him and at the same time would likely have learned far more than him…
The Sky Empire even had someone above the Artisan Realm, so the old Artisan Alchemist might even have learned a few recipes bordering the realm between an Artisan Alchemist and a Master Alchemist…
"Hah…"
Xuan Hao sighed a bit to himself as he picked up one of the books in front of him, his rate of learning recipes had been way slower than what he had expected, but it was still understandable. The initial posting of this chapter occurred via noovelllbbin
After all, the knowledge and skill he had gained was for the Artisan Realm. If he wanted to speed up his learning speed of Artisan Realm recipes, he would have to breakthrough and become a Master Alchemist, but that was easier said than done.
Without the systems help or any other kinds of external help, Xuan Hao knew that it would take him at least a few years' time at minimum to become a Master Alchemist by himself.
Even if this speed was more than enough to shock every other alchemist at the Ewaria Continent, Xuan Hao knew that it was still too slow. After all, the alchemy competition would have finished at that point in time…
"I need to stop worrying so much about someone I haven't even met yet…" Shaking his head as he realized how worried he had become about someone he had never even met yet attempting to steal away his disciple, Xuan Hao could not help putting down the book he had just picked up.
I need to calm down…
Sitting down in a meditative position, Xuan Hao decided not to worry so much about the upcoming alchemy competition and instead focused on cultivating instead.
At the very least, cultivating was way more calming than studying any more alchemy recipes and continuing with it while being in such a worried state might end up causing more harm to him in the end.
Cultivating was a way easier to do and at the same time also helped him calm down.
Quietly spending the rest of his time like this, quietly cultivating inside his room, Xuan Hao slowly opened his eyes as the first rays of light passed through a small window in his room.
"Cultivating is really useful…"
Even if he didn't manage to improve his cultivation realm, his state of mind had improved a lot from the day before.
One of the most important things for cultivating was to keep a calm state of mind. In turn, cultivating had allowed Xuan Hao to fix his state of mind and calm down.
Realizing the fact that even if the Artisan Alchemist ended up trying to take away his disciple, he would not have to fear him.
After all, he was a Domain Lord and at the same time also an Artisan Alchemist!
Given normal circumstances, there was no way the Artisan Alchemist in question would want to offend him for no reason by trying to steal away his disciple and there was even less of a chance that the Sky Empire would support him in case he did something like that…
The importance of a Domain Lord to an Empire could not be taken lightly and at the same time, someone who was also an Artisan Alchemist!
With this in mind, Xuan Hao no longer felt as worried as he had before.
Even if he ended up being worse than the old Artisan Alchemist that was hosting the competition, he would not have to worry about him trying to take away his disciple!
At the very least, that was what Xuan Hao had come to believe after a night of meditation…
…
"Haha! Finally, the alchemy competition is about to begin! I have been so excited thinking about getting a new disciple!"
At the same time, in a messy room inside a large palace located far away from the Flying Sword Sect, an elderly man with a potion bottle in one hand laughed happily to himself as he looked over a large list of names in front of him that mentioned the names of every single person who was going to participate in his alchemy competition.
Yes, this was the old Artisan Alchemist from the Sky Empire that Xuan Hao was worried about possibly taking away his disciple!
"Hm? Flying Sword Sect? Isn't that the sect that his highness got interested in lately due to them suddenly having someone in the Domain Lord Realm?" Muttering this to himself while looking through the list in front of him, a hint of interest flashed through the elderly man's eyes.
"Qing Yi?" Looking over the name attached to the Flying Sword Sect, the elderly man smiled even more as he grew curious about the person that had come from the sect that just had someone reach the Domain Lord Realm.
"Master… Stop smiling like that, it looks creepy…" At the same time, a young woman who just entered the room, witnessed her old master's splendid smile…

Chapter 382 - Departure
Preparing for the alchemy competition, Xuan Hao was not the only person who was worried. Instead, the elders from the Alchemy Hall were the most worried about the alchemy competition.
The reason for this, was that the outcome of the alchemy competition would end up affecting the disciples outlook on the Alchemy Hall and could either help them gain a lot of interested new disciples to join the Alchemy Hall or in turn cause the few who were already interested in joining to stay away…
Qing Yi's improvement over the last few months. Even if she had improved a lot, still did not manage to calm down the elders of the Alchemy Hall completely.
After all, it was highly likely that she would end up competing against an alchemist from the Sky Empire! Someone like that would likely have practiced alchemy for a way longer time than Qing Yi and at the same time might also have access to way better alchemist that could help them out.
In the worst-case scenario, someone who had been guided by one of the few Master Alchemist in the Sky Empire might even end up showing up!
This could result in the unfortunate thing of Qing Yi being knocked out of the competition in the early stages. Not something the elders from the Alchemy Hall wanted to see… But all they could do was to be worried by themselves, as the day of departure finally arrived. Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
"Is everyone here?" Standing at the stable of the beast tamers, Gong Bo asked with an anxious look on his face.
"No! Elder Xuan and his disciple are still missing, we should get ready to leave so we can leave the moment they show up."
Answering the short elder from the Alchemy Hall, another elder from the Alchemy Hall told him before getting up on a nearby flying demon beast.
For the journey, the Alchemy Hall had decided to use flying demon beasts. Using land-based demon beasts was simply way too slow and they would also have to deal with way more ambushes along the way.
"Elder Xuan and Qing Yi is not here yet…?" Hearing the answer from the elder, Gong Bo began growing worried as he nervously looked over in the direction of Xuan Hao's pavilion.
Even though he knew that he had arrived way earlier than the time that they had planned, Gong Bo was still nervous when he saw everyone already here expect Xuan Hao and Qing Yi.
I really should not have asked everyone to come before the planned time…
Thinking this to himself as he smiled wryly while looking up towards the still dark sky with the sun not going to appear any time soon…
…
A few hours later, Xuan Hao had just gotten up from his night of cultivating before looking for Qing Yi to leave for the alchemy competition.
"Master! Are we leaving now!"
Opening the door to her room with an excited expression on her face and a few dark circles under her eyes from a clear lack of sleep, Qing Yi asked in an excited tone.
"Yes… But we will first have to say goodbye to your two junior brothers before leaving…" Not wanting to ask her about the dark circles under her eyes, Xuan Hao and Qing Yi both went to find a tired Bai Ning to say goodbye before going out to find Chu Yang already up training at the training ground to say goodbye.
Followed by another quick visit to the winged lion that would protect the Flying Sword Sect while he was gone, Xuan Hao and Qing Yi both made their way towards the stable of the beast tamers where they had agreed to meet the elders from the Alchemy Hall.
"Gong Bo… Is something wrong…?" Looking at one of the core elders of the Alchemy Hall that would be going with them nervously walking back and forth with an anxious look on his face, Xuan Hao could not help but think that something bad had happened.
Maybe the flying demon beasts they were going to use had suddenly gotten sick or something?
"Elder Xuan! Qing Yi! Both of you are finally here! Nothing is wrong, nothing is wrong! I was just a bit nervous when thinking about the alchemy competition, that's all!" Hearing Xuan Hao's voice, Gong Bo excitedly ran over and almost tripped over his long beard as he hurriedly explained.
Seeing that Xuan Hao didn't say anything after hearing his explanation, Gong Bo heaved a sigh of relief before quickly running into the stable of the beast tamers before coming out with a large black bird demon beast that could barely make its way out of the stable without accidently hitting the top of the entrance to the stable.
"This is the Great Raven demon beast, I personally got the beast tamers to prepare it for you and your disciple to use during the journey, Elder Xuan! It's by far one of the best flying demon beasts that we currently have in the sect, being at the Peak of the Core Formation Realm! I even heard that the sect master personally caught it in the past!"
Introducing the Great Raven demon beast to the best of his abilities, Gong Bo quickly came over with the Great Raven demon beast.
"I see… Thanks…" Not knowing what to say to Gong Bo as he watched how disdainfully the Great Raven demon beast was looking at him while he introduced it to him, Xuan Hao discreetly let out a small bit of his aura to intimidate the Great Raven demon beast a bit.
After all, he did not want a repeat of what happened the last time he flew with a demon beast from the sect…
"!"
Not saying? a word as it felt his terrifying aura coming from Xuan Hao, the Great Raven demon beast completely froze up as it looked over at Xuan Hao with a fearful expression on its face.
W-who is that human?! He is even more terrifying than the person who caught me!
With these few thoughts passing through its mind, the Great Raven demon beast was way smarter than the shadow hawk and decided to not offend Xuan Hao.
Did that human perhaps have anything to do with what happened to that youngling Shadow Hawk…? And now I'm going to fly with that terrifying human on my back…!
Thinking about this, the Great Raven suddenly felt Xuan Hao had become even more scary than before, as it started shivering violently. Not even daring to take a single step back in fear that it would end up like the Shadow Hawk…
"Haha, looks like the Great Raven is all excited knowing that it will get to fly Elder Xuan!" From the side, Gong Bo could not help but smile happily as he exclaimed upon seeing the Great Ravens behaviour.
Stupid human! Who is exited to fly that terrifying monster! I want to go back!
"Should we get going now that everyone has arrived?" Ignoring the angry glares he got from the Great Raven demon beast, Gong Bo asked Xuan Hao as he had already gotten on top of his own flying demon beast along with the rest of the elders that were going to join them for the alchemy competition.
Looking at the few elders that were present, Xuan Hao could not help but feel a bit surprised when he discovered Chi Hu among the elders that were joining them.
"Yeah, let's get going."
But this did not really surprise him too much as he had already expected that someone other than him among the core elders would be joining, he had just not expected for the recently added core elder Chi Hu to be the one.
Whoosh!
After Xuan Hao's words, the small group made up of a few members from the Alchemy Hall, Chi Hu, Xuan Hao and Qing Yi set off towards the alchemy competition.
In a sense, this was after all his first encounter with someone from the Sky Empire… Outside of the ones he had unknowingly seen in the secret realm from a distance…
The first real encounter with the Sky Empire, Xuan Hao, both feared it and looked forward to it at the same time. This was after all an empire that had someone who surpassed the Domain Lord Realm in it…
…
BOOM!
"Haha! I finally managed to breakthrough to the Domain Lord Realm! I have to thank Elder Xuan in the future when I have a chance!"
At the same time, over in the Spring Flower Sect, Shu Yao was laughing happily as she had finally managed to consolidate a domain of her own. Reaching the Domain Lord Realm!
Along with her joyful voice, a field of flowers appeared all around her as her domain manifested itself, Shu Yao was ecstatic at her breakthrough to the Domain Lord Realm.
The flower field seemed to go on forever with Shu Yao at the centre of this field of flowers.. Happily laughing to herself, as the countless flower around her began blooming in all kinds of colours in response to her happy emotions.

Chapter 383 - Iron Sky Kingdom
Having set off towards the alchemy competition, Xuan Hao and the rest flew through the air peacefully without anyone appearing to disturb them.
After all, as they had chosen to fly, the only ones who would be able to even attack them in the first place, was someone in the Domain Lord Realm or someone who also had a flying demon beast like them.
This in turn, had made their overall journey smoother and safer compared to how it would be if they had decided to travel by land where any random bandit group would be able to attack them.
However, this was only the first part of their journey through a few kingdoms with similar strength to the past Heavenly Sky Kingdom.
After all, the farther away from the Flying Sword Sect they got and the closer they got to the core of the Sky Empire, the stronger the average strength of the people would get. The kingdoms they passed through would in turn also be stronger.
Not to mention that in the Sky Empires core areas, the few bandit groups that had been able to continue existing there were rumoured to have more than a few dozen people in the Nascent Soul Realm! A force that would easily be able to overwhelm the Flying Sword Sect of the past!
A group that powerful would of course have several flying demon beasts!
Luckily, the alchemy competition was not located anywhere close to the places where such groups operated.
Instead, it was located in a relatively small kingdom barely inside the core area of the Sky Empire.
The kingdom in question was one of the more important kingdoms under the Sky Empire, the Iron Sky Kingdom.
The main reason for the Iron Sky Kingdoms importance was not due to the fact that the ruler of the kingdom was someone in the Domain Lord Realm, but due to the fact that the Iron Sky Kingdom was by far the biggest producer of spiritual metals inside the Sky Empire.
This in turn had also allowed the kingdom to become one of the wealthiest kingdoms under the Sky Empire and had in the end solidified the kingdoms position as one of the most important under the Sky Empire.
From what little Xuan Hao had learned about the Iron Sky Kingdom, he knew that it was often seen as a gathering place for people belonging to all sorts of professions.
Blacksmiths coming for the large quantity of spiritual metals, alchemists coming to buy cauldrons and other equipment used in the making of their pills and potions and normal cultivators coming to buy artifacts or weapons from the abundant number of blacksmiths that resided in the Iron Sky Kingdom.
Even Domain Lords often made a trip to the Iron Sky Kingdom due to the fact that the ruler of the Iron Sky Kingdom was not only a Domain Lord, but also a Master Blacksmith at the same time!
As for what kind of powers that existed inside of the Iron Sky Kingdom, Xuan Hao had no clue.
After all, the Flying Sword Sect was still located quite far away from the Iron Sky Kingdom and had never really interacted with it before. The only reason why Xuan Hao had even managed to learn about the Iron Sky Kingdom in the first place, was because the Flying Sword Sect had a few records about it that had been passed down over the years.
To be honest, the current situation of the Iron Sky Kingdom might be a lot different from what Xuan Hao had learned from the records in the Flying Sword Sect. The records in question were after all a few hundred years old at this point and even though not much should have changed as the Iron Sky Kingdom had the Sky Empire and a Domain Lord backing it… But one never knew if something had happened…
Maybe Gong Bo knew something? After all, he was among the older generation of the Flying Sword Sect and should have quite a few friends that travelled around the place.
Whoosh~
"Elder Gong Bo, do you perhaps know anything about the current situation of the Iron Sky Kingdom?"
Moving the Great Raven demon beast, he and Qing Yi were flying on a little closer to Gong Bo's flying demon beast, Xuan Hao asked with a curious expression on his face. At the same time, his question also caused Qing Yi to look over towards Gong Bo curiously.
Compared to Xuan Hao who had read up a bit about the place that they were going, Qing Yi had never even learned about the name of the kingdom that the alchemy competition was being held in. Instead, she had fully focused on improving her alchemy during the last few months.
"The Iron Sky Kingdom… Hm… I do have a friend who visited the place recently, but he didn't talk much about the overall situation of the kingdom itself, he only really complained about the increasing price of a few spiritual metals he had gone there for…
Ah! If I'm not wrong, he did mention that the king of the Iron Sky Kingdom recently entered closed door seclusion at that time to breakthrough. If I'm not wrong, the king of the Iron Sky Kingdom should be close to the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm if he succeeded in breaking through at that time… Maybe he even broke through and became a Peak Domain Lord already!" Finishing, Gong Bo had an awe inspired look on his face upon mentioning the fact that the ruler of the Iron Sky Kingdom might have reached the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm.
Peak of the Domain Lord Realm! Even in the entire Sky Empire, someone like that would be among the top ten strongest people below the ones at the Soul Ascension Realm!
Even Xuan Hao felt a little cautious upon hearing the strength of the current ruler of the Iron Sky Kingdom, he still had no clue how he would fare against someone who had truly reached the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm.
The winged lion, while strong, had not reached the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm…
"A Peak Domain Lord…" Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao could not help but think about how his current strength compared to a Peak Domain Lord at the Ninth Stage of the Realm…
"Elder… Will that person perhaps also be present during the alchemy competition…?" Sitting a little behind Xuan Hao, Qing Yi had also begun growing nervous upon hearing the strength of the current ruler of the Iron Sky Kingdom, as she asked Gong Bo.
"Haha, you don't need to worry about that Qing Yi, someone like that won't come to watch the alchemy competition! At most he would show up to greet the Artisan Alchemist due to him being part of the Sky Empire. From what my friend told me; The ruler of the Iron Sky Kingdom rarely leaves his blacksmith. Even if a Domain Lord shows up, he won't leave unless they seek him out or causes trouble!" Laughing a bit as he said this in an attempt to calm down Qing Yi, Gong Bo also felt like what he was saying was the truth.
From what he had learned about the ruler of the Iron Sky Kingdom, he would never leave his blacksmith and would at times even directly refuse some of the Domain Lords that came to seek him to make a weapon or an artifact at the door without meeting them.
The only time he would leave was if someone from the Sky Empire came or if one of the more powerful Domain Lords under the Sky Empire showed up to find him!
Nodding her head upon listening to what Gong Bo was saying, Qing Yi suddenly looked up at her master before…
"Do you think he will come out to greet master?"
"Ah… Maybe? I don't know…"
Feeling a bit shocked at Qing Yi's question, Gong Bo suddenly realized the fact that they also had someone in the Domain Lord Realm accompanying them to the Iron Sky Kingdom…
If the ruler of the Iron Sky Kingdom came out to greet the Artisan Alchemist from the Sky Empire, would he not also end up greeting Elder Xuan after having already made his way out of his blacksmith? The initial posting of this chapter occurred via noovelllbbin
"What do you think, Elder Xuan?" Not knowing what to say as Qing Yi kept staring fixedly over at him with shinning eyes, Gong Bo turned to ask Xuan Hao about what he thought.
"Hm… No idea, he might come over to say hello. After all, I'm a new Domain Lord in the Sky Empire that he never met before…" Thinking about Gong Bo's question for a short moment, Xuan Hao quickly answered.
"Really!? Then we might get to meet the king of the Iron Sky Kingdom!" Hearing what her master said, Qing Yi felt that it would be reasonable for the king of the Iron Sky Kingdom to come over and greet her master.
At the same time, she suddenly began growing nervous thinking about the fact that she would likely come face to face with such a powerful figure in the soon to be future!

Chapter 384 - Talking With Chi Hu
"By the way, Chi Hu, have you met Zhu Lian yet…?" Having finished asking Gong Bo about what he knew about the Iron Sky Kingdom, Xuan Hao moved the Great Raven over towards Chi Hu flying close by on his own flying demon beast. Not paying too much attention to Qing Yi as she seemed to be deep in thought of something after talking with Gong Bo.
"Zhu Lian? No, I haven't met her yet, last time I saw her was on top of the Third Star Peak…" Showing a bewildered expression upon hearing Xuan Hao's question, Chi Hu answered his question. Not knowing why Xuan Hao had suddenly asked him about one of his past companions whom he ascended the Third Star Peak together with…
"Hm… I see…" Not intending to ask anymore after hearing Chi Hu's answer, Xuan Hao quickly realized that Zhu Lian had not even made her way to the Flying Sword Sect yet.
Maybe something had come up that had ended up delaying her along the way?
After all, she might not be like Chi Hu who was a wandering cultivator without any family or relatives before joining the Flying Sword Sect.
Thinking about it, Xuan Hao was not too worried about anything happening to Zhu Lian. If something serious really did happen, she could always contact him through his communication talisman. Other than that, she was also someone in the Nascent Soul Realm and was at the same time an experienced wandering cultivator…
Xuan Hao doubted that she would be someone to easily end up in trouble in the first place, or she would have long since ended up dying during her travels. The world was a dangerous place and one needed to know when to stay low, especially so for wandering cultivators who often had no one to back them up.
"Did you perhaps happen to meet Zhu Lian? Did she manage to breakthrough and on the Third Star Peak!?"
Not one to back down after having heard about one of his old friends who had gone together with him to do a last-ditch attempt on breaking through to the Nascent Soul Realm, Chi Hu moved the demon beast he was flying on a little closer to Xuan Hao's Great Raven, as he asked expectantly.
"Yes, I did meet her, and she did indeed breakthrough like you! I invited her to come and join the Flying Sword Sect like I did with you a few months back, but I just realized she has not showed up yet… Do you perhaps have any idea what might have caused her delay?" Hearing what Chi Hu said, Xuan Hao decided to answer him truthfully and at the same time ask him if he had any idea what might have delayed Zhu Lian.
"Really?! And she broke through to the Nascent Soul Realm like me?!"
"Yes…"
Seeing how excited Chi Hu had become upon hearing that one of his old friends had managed to break through just like him and even agreed to join the Flying Sword Sect like himself, Xuan Hao just answered plainly as he waited for him to calm down before asking if he knew about anything about why she hadn't showed up even after a few months had passed.
"Hm… From what I know, Zhu Lian still kept in touch with her family after becoming a wandering cultivator. Even visiting them once every few years. If I'm not wrong, she should have headed back home to visit her family before officially joining the sect… Her family is located quite far away from the Flying Sword Sect.
After all, both me and her came here from far away due to a few rumours we had heard of the Third Peak through a few friends. Back then, we used a few years to reach the Third Star Peak, but given that she reached the Nascent Soul Realm, she should not take too long to get back home and come back, she might even have arrived when we return to the sect again!" Thinking over it for a short moment before answering Xuan Hao's question, Chi Hu soon fell silent as he looked forward to meeting his old friend upon returning to the Flying Sword Sect.
"Hm… I understand, that would indeed make sense…" Nodding his head in understand upon hearing what Chi Hu said, Xuan Hao still felt that there was something wrong with the fact that Zhu Lian had not yet reached the Flying Sword Sect…
Maybe it was because of his talk with her back at the Third Star Peak that had convinced him that she would have rushed over to the Flying Sword Sect and reach the sect even before him, Xuan Hao unknowingly felt a little worried about Zhu Lian.
No use thinking about it, if something dangerous really happened to her, she should have contacted me by now…
Thinking this to himself as a quiet atmosphere had descended upon the group, Xuan Hao soon closed his eyes and began to meditate on top of the Great Raven. No longer concerning himself with the outside world.
Their journey would last for at least a few weeks, and one would quickly grow bored of the ever-changing terrain below. At that point, one could at the very least meditate to make time go by.
This was also one of the reason Xuan Hao had decided to use a flying demon beast instead of flying by himself. The initial instance of this chapter being available happened at N0v3l.Bin.
Sitting on top of the Great Raven, while it was slower than flying himself, he could at the very least spend his time cultivating.
If he flew by himself, he would still have to wait for the others anyway…
Carrying all of them with his domain…?
There were more than a dozen people and he did not exhaust his strength by carrying everyone there a little faster.
How awkward would it be for him to end up facing a possibly hostile Domain Lord just after he had exhausted his strength to carry everyone? Even if the chances were low, Xuan Hao did not want to risk it!
