Chapter 481: Feather Imprint! Absorb!
Arriving at the location where he felt the calling, Xuan Hao spotted a large temple ruin with a large dome shaped barrier surrounding it.
At this point, several cracks had already spread all over this barrier as a group of people were using all their strength to attack the dome shaped barrier.
Thump~!
Landing a short distance away from the ruined temple, Xuan Hao didn't bother hiding himself. After all, the strongest person present was only at the Core Formation Realm. Not really anything that could pose a threat to him given his current cultivation realm.
"Hm… This should be the place…"
Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao used his domain to momentarily stop the people from moving before peering through the dome shaped barrier to see what was inside the temple ruins.
"Looks like there is also someone inside the temple ruins."
Spotting a few people fearfully looking on from inside the temple ruins, Xuan Hao could easily guess what was happening, as he took a step forward before arriving in front of the dome shaped barrier.
Crack~
Bang!
Destroying the dome shaped barrier without paying too much attention to the people inside the temple ruins, Xuan Hao instead focused on the weird calling he had felt coming from inside the temple ruins.
""…""
The people hiding away inside the temple ruins did not dare moving in the slightest after seeing Xuan Hao destroy the dome shaped barrier so easily before entering the temple ruins.
Even if they wanted to say something to the unknown person who had suddenly appeared, like the people outside the temple ruins, they soon found out that they could not move a single muscle in their body. Only able to helplessly stare towards Xuan Hao as he entered the temple ruins.
The only thing causing them not to panic, was the fact that Xuan Hao did not seem to care about them in the slightest as he made his way past them before proceeding towards a large broken-down altar located at what had once been the core of the temple ruins.
Feeling the curious gazes locked onto him, Xuan Hao who had just reached the broken-down altar stopped.
"Leave…"
With a short sentence leaving no room for conversation, Xuan Hao removed the suppression on the people inside the temple.
"Y-yes!"
"T-thank you, sir!"
"Thank you for your help!"
The people in question quickly thanked Xuan Hao before leaving the temple ruins. The reason for this being that they had been in a pretty hopeless situation before his arrival and would most likely have ended up being killed by the people who had surrounded the temple ruins from outside.
"…"
Not saying anything in response, Xuan Hao stood in front of the broken-down altar, as he waited for the people inside the temple ruins to leave before continuing.
The altar in question, was nothing more than a simple broken-down stone slab at this point, with a small sun disc located on top of it.
From the feather imprint between his brows glowing brightly and the feeling of something calling out to him from the altar, Xuan Hao understood that the thing calling out to him should be somewhere on top of, or inside of the altar in front of him.
Rustle~
"Good… Looks like everyone is gone now…"
Along with the last person leaving the area around the temple ruins, Xuan Hao set up a short-term barrier around the temple ruins using his two domains as the core. Preventing anyone from peeking inside with their divine sense and stopping anyone from being able enter without his knowledge.
This was the best way to make sure that nobody disturbed him.
"Now… I wonder what's inside here…"
Tracing the thin outlines along the sun disc covered in dust on top of the altar, Xuan Hao could clearly feel a familiar energy from the small sun disc.
"Divine energy!"
Albeit weak, Xuan Hao could still recognize the weak blue divine energy from the sun disc, it was the same as the divine energy he had found in the two tallest mountains of the Shattered Star Peaks!
Whoosh~
Not only that, but Xuan Hao soon discovered that the divine energy inside the small sun disc suddenly flew out before entering the feather imprint between his brows!
The entire thing happened way faster than he could react and by the time that he had discovered the blue divine energy entering the feather imprint, the small sun disc on top of the alter had already been completely drained, as the feather imprint disappeared without needing him to do anything.
"Wha-"
Realizing that the feather imprint had just devoured the blue divine energy, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a wave of shock, as he knew very well how terrifying the blue divine energy was.
Even if it was weakened by a lot, he still did not dare absorbing it. Fearing that he might just end up freezing to death the moment he allowed the blue divine energy to enter his dantian!
But now, the feather imprint had easily devoured the weakened blue divine energy without anything happening to him…
Well, something did happen, as Xuan Hao felt his mind clear up and the world around him felt a bit different compared to before.
"It increased my ability to comprehend to natural world?!"
Standing frozen in front of the altar for a short moment before he realized just what had happened, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a shiver run down his spine.
The feather imprint had increased his ability to comprehend the world around him!
Even if this did not immediately increase his strength, in the long run, it would increase his speed of comprehending his two domains and in turn increase his cultivation speed!
Maybe, there was even a chance for him to comprehend more than two domains if his comprehension increased…
"I should go back to the Shattered Star Peaks and see if it can absorb the blue divine energy there…"
Whispering this to himself, Xuan Hao could not help feeling himself grow a bit excited thinking about how much his comprehension speed would increase if the feather imprint devoured all the blue divine energy present on the Shattered Star Peaks.N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapter's release on N0v3l--B1n.
At this point, Xuan Hao no longer thought about visiting the Flowing Cloud Sect and was instead way more interested in returning to the Flying Sword Sect before making a trip to the Shattered Star Peaks.
I guess I will just have to visit that Old Ji at some other point… I don't even know him too well in the first place…
Thinking about this, Xuan Hao decided to give up on visiting the Flowing Cloud Sect for now.
In the future, he would return and check out how the former elder of the Black Rose Sect was doing… Yeah… He was going to check up on him at some point in the future…
Whoosh!
Having already gotten the thing that he wanted inside the temple ruins; Xuan Hao did not stay around for any longer. Directly removing the barrier, he had put up to prevent any people or demon beasts from entering while he looked for the thing that had called out to him and caused the feather imprint between his eyebrows to start shinning.
Visiting the Flowing Cloud Sect and finding the elder from the Black Rose Sect had already completely disappeared from his mind at this point in time.
The former elder of the Black Rose Sect was simply not someone Xuan Hao wanted to waste any time on after finding out about possibly being able to increase his comprehension speed and in turn increase his cultivation speed…
…
"You said that it was here you hid away? Inside the temple ruins over there?"
"Yes!"
"I see… I will go and check it out…"
Only a few minutes after Xuan Hao had left the temple ruins, one of the people who had previously hidden inside the temple ruins arrived back at the temple ruins together with one of the elders of the Flowing Cloud Sect!
"Be careful! If that person is still in there, Elder Ji…"
"I understand, just leave it to me!"
Not to mention, the elder from the Flowing Cloud Sect, was none other than the former elder of the Black Rose Sect that Xuan Hao had come to visit! Ji Yichuan!
Shortly after the people from the Flowing Cloud Sect, who had hidden inside the temple ruins, had left, they encountered Ji Yichuan and a few other elders who had come together with him.
Soon enough, they told him about what had happened at the temple ruins and of course their encounter with Xuan Hao.
Following this, Ji Yichuan had instructed for everyone to head back to the sect while one of the people stayed behind to guide him to the temple ruins to find out who the mysterious person that had ended up saving the people of the Flowing Cloud Sect was.
Whoosh~
"Looks like he already left…"
Arriving inside the now empty temple ruins, Ji Yichuan could not help sighing disappointedly at the fact that he had not been able to catch the unknown saviour.
Even if it was unintentional, Ji Yichuan still wanted to thank him. Not only had that person ended up saving the people of the Flowing Cloud Sect, but he had also saved the only daughter of the current sect master, who had been hidden among the people inside the temple ruins!

Chapter 482: Returning to the Sec
Returning back to the Flying Sword Sect only a few short minutes after Qing Yi and the other elders, Xuan Hao was greeted by his youngest disciple Bai Ning the moment he stepped into his pavilion again after being gone for the past few months.
"Master!"
"Haha, great to see you again as well."
Seeing Bai Ning run over to greet him, Xuan Hao could not help smiling a bit to himself as he happily greeted the young boy.
The seventh stage of the Qi Condensation Realm… Looks like I will have to spend a little more time training him before I go to the Shattered Star Peaks…
Noticing that Bai Ning's cultivation base had not improved as much as he had expected for it to during the time he and Qing Yi were gone, Xuan Hao decided to stay for a few days at the Flying Sword Sect before leaving for the Shattered Star Peaks.
In the first place, I will also have to check up with Chu Yang and see how he is doing now that he broke through to the Core Formation Realm.
Thinking this to himself as he looked over Bai Ning happily standing beside him.
"Let's go and see how your senior brother and sister are doing, I would also love to hear what you've been up to over the past few weeks!"
"Really!?"
"Yes, I'm also quite interested in learning how far your blacksmithing skills have managed to progress and if you managed to make any new friends at the Blacksmithing Hall."
"Hm, I made quite a lot of progress during the last few weeks and even managed to work together on an artifact with one of the-"
Listening to Bai Ning talking about what he had gone through during the time he was not there, Xuan Hao could not help smiling wryly to himself upon learning how many elders in the Blacksmithing Hall, that he had ended up becoming friends with.
In the end, Bai Ning had not managed to make a single friend around his own age, but had instead ended up befriending most of the elders from the Blacksmithing Hall during his frequent visits…
Of course, it also helped that he was a personal disciple of a core elder and could easily move around the sect and talk with the many elders without having to worry too much about his position as a disciple.
After all, the personal disciples of core elders, were viewed as future elders and possible core elders of the sect!
Thinking this to himself as he made his way further inside the pavilion together with Bai Ning, Xuan Hao could not help shaking his head.
Maybe he should help his disciple find a few similarly aged friends among the disciples of the Flying Sword Sect?
"Maybe I should take him with me to the next entrance examination…"
Muttering this to himself without Bai Ning hearing anything, Xuan Hao began making plans for how he could ensure that his youngest disciple got some friends around his age in the future.
…
"You reached the Core Formation Realm!?"
"Yeah, I guess you will have to reach the Core Formation Realm if you don't want to get left too far behind dear senior sister~"
A few minutes before Xuan Hao had returned to the Flying Sword Sect, Qing Yi had arrived back at the pavilion. Only to discover that Chu Yang had actually managed to break through to the Core Formation Realm during the time that she had been away with her master!
"You-!"
Grinding her teeth upon seeing the cheeky smile plastered all over Chu Yang's face, Qing Yi felt that her status as the senior sister had been challenged and resolved herself to enter seclusion to break through to the Core Formation Realm herself.
No matter what, she did not intend to get left behind by Chu Yang.
"Hmph! The only reason why you managed to reach the Core Formation Realm before me, was because I was participating in the alchemy competition together with master! In another month or two, I will also be able to reach the Core Formation Realm!"
Rustle~
Not waiting for Chu Yang to respond to her, Qing Yi directly left before returning to her room to begin cultivating.
In the first place, she had come to brag about the fact that she had gotten second place during the alchemy competition, but in the end, Chu Yang's break through to the Core Formation Realm had completely caught her off-guard.
"With the resources I won during the alchemy competition, I should easily be able to catch up with that damnable Chu Yang!"
Muttering this to herself as she turned around the corner of the hallway she was walking down, Qing Yi didn't notice the fact that her master and Bai Ning had appeared directly in front of her the moment she turned around the corner.
…
Watching the frowning expression on Qing Yi's face as she turned around the corner just in front of them, Xuan Hao felt like she had already found out about the fact that Chu Yang had broken through to the Core Formation Realm.
Hm? It seems like she didn't discover us yet…
Having stopped together with Bai Ning, Xuan Hao felt a bit amused upon seeing that Qing Yi still didn't notice them and instead just continued forward while glancing back towards the direction she had just come from.
Tap-tap, Thump!
Walking head-first into his chest, Qing Yi showed a confused expression before looking up.
"Ah- M-master!"
"Haha, indeed, it is your master! However, it seems like someone is quite preoccupied thinking about something, I wonder if it's about the fact that Chu Yang broke through to the Core Formation Realm?"
Chuckling a bit to himself upon seeing the embarrassed expression on Qing Yi's face, Xuan Hao could not help himself from teasing her a bit.
"M-master… It's not like that…" Almost whispering these words, Qing Yi felt even more embarrassed.
"Is something wrong senior sister!?"
"No! It's nothing, I will excuse myself, I have something important to do…"
Whoosh!
Realizing that her junior brother Bai Ning was also present, Qing Yi quickly recovered before making an excuse. Dashing away before any of them had a chance to say anything.
"Master, is something wrong with senior sister? Her face looked all red earlier… Do you perhaps think she is sick!?"
"Haha, no need to worry about that! In the first place, your senior sister has already reached the later stages of the Foundation Establishment Realm, there is no way she would easily get sick given how strong her body is!"Immerse Yourself in the Storyverse: NvεlB¡n.
Laughing a bit before reassuring Bai Ning everything was fine upon hearing how worried he was, Xuan Hao secretly used his divine sense to check up on Qing Yi, just in case.
"Ah! Why did I have to run into master and junior brother Bai Ning! Ah! How embarrassing!"
"…"
Recalling his divine sense after seeing the embarrassed Qing Yi rush into her room before shutting the door to enter secluded cultivation, Xuan Hao was sure everything was fine.
Though, they might not be seeing her before she broke through to the Core Formation Realm…
Not that Xuan Hao was worried about it, as she should be more than capable of breaking through to the Core Formation Realm in a short period of time now that she had already reached the Ninth Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm.
"Senior brother! Master is back!"
"Hm? Master is back?!"
"Indeed, I'm back."
Hearing the excited voice of his second disciple, Xuan Hao smiled as he saw Chu Yang rush over upon seeing that his master had indeed returned.
"Master, master, master! I broke through to the Core Formation Realm!"
Fwoosh!
Calling out to him several times like an excited child as soon as he made his way over, Chu Yang quickly unleashed his aura at the first stage of the Core Formation Realm. Wanting to show off what he had accomplished during the time he had been left on his own.
"It was indeed the right choice to take you in as my second personal disciple back then! I never expected for you to reach the Core Formation Realm so quickly. Not only that, but you manged to do it without my help during the time I was gone! You've exceeded my expectations!"
Nodding approvingly with a happy smile, Xuan Hao was indeed quite surprised that Chu Yang had managed to break through to the Core Formation Realm in such a short period of time without his help.
He did not have the highest talent value among his three disciples for nothing! Even Qing Yi, his first disciple, was lacking slightly behind him when it came to cultivation…
"Thank you, master! Actually, there is something I wanted to inform you about…"
Smiling from ear to ear after being praised by his master, Chu Yang did not forget to inform his master about the hole in the mountain and the hollow part of the mountain that he had accidently fallen into.

Chapter 483: Chubby lion~
"The mountain is hollow!? And you even said that you found the ruins of an ancient city in there…? Show me where the hole is located!"
Hearing that the mountain he had been living on top of was hollow and the fact that there even was an ancient city ruin in there, Xuan Hao could not help exclaiming in surprise as he hurried for Chu Yang to show him where the hole was located.
During the time he had spent on top of his mountain, he had used his divine sense and domain to scan the area several times but had not found out about the fact that his mountain was hollow!
For him to not be able to sense this after such a long time…
"Hm? Is something wrong- Ah… Bai Ning, do you happen to know where the hole is located?"
Realizing his mistake in asking Chu Yang for directions, Xuan Hao quickly switched to asking Bai Ning instead.
"Yes! It's just outside!"
Not noticing anything weird about his master's question, Bai Ning happily responded before leading the way towards the hole into the hollow part of the mountain that Chu Yang had ended up creating and soon enough, the group of three headed towards the entrance to the hollow part of the mountain.
Chu Yang was not at all affected by the fact that his master had ended up asking Bai Ning for directions instead of him… He very well understood how bad his sense of direction was… Especially after falling into the hollow part of the mountain. Almost ending up skewered alive on the spear like rocks covering the ground beneath the hole!
…
"There really is a hole here…" Muttering this to himself upon seeing the hole leading into what he assumed to be the hollow part of the mountain, Xuan Hao could not help feeling even more surprised over the fact that he had not sensed such a large hole in the ground with his divine sense upon returning to his pavilion.
Not only was the hollow part of the mountain completely hidden from his divine sense, but even the hole that was directly in front of him, was completely invisible to his divine sense.
If not for the fact that he had now seen it personally, Xuan Hao would doubt that his mountain peak really was hollow on the inside… Not to mention the fact that he would likely never have found out about it, if not for Chu Yang accidently taking a wrong turn before falling into the hollow part of the mountain!
Perhaps, his bad sense of direction, was not totally useless…
"Master, this is the place!"
Coming to a stop only a short distance away from the hole in the ground leading into the hollow part of the mountain, Bai Ning smiled happily as he looked up towards his master.
"Indeed… You did well Bai Ning, you can go back for now, I want to check out this place by myself."
"Yes, master!"
Smiling even more happily upon being praised by his master, Bai Ning quickly ran back into the pavilion behind them. Leaving only Xuan Hao and Chu Yang behind in front of the hole in the ground.
"Master… Do you want me to show you where the ancient city ruins are located? Even if I'm not too good with directions, I think I can recognize some of the terrain on the way there-"
"No! No need for that, you can head back to the pavilion for now!"
Quickly denying Chu Yang's request to show him where the ancient city ruins were located before, he even managed to finish speaking, Xuan Hao send him back to the pavilion as well.
"Okay…"
Looking a bit sad after being turned down so quickly, Chu Yang could only lament at his bad sense of direction… At least he should be able to resolve his troubles after developing his divine sense.
Maybe I can try to develop my divine sense a little earlier. At least I will be of more help to master in case something like this happens again in the future...
With these thoughts in mind, Chu Yang soon left the area where the hole or entrance to the hollow part of the mountain was located. Heading back towards the pavilion.
"Guess I should check out just what's hidden beneath my pavilion…"
Having resolved himself to enter the hollow part of his mountain to find out what was hidden inside, Xuan Hao jumped straight into the large hole-
Bang!
But only a moment later, he felt himself getting thrown back out by some sort of invisible force.
"This… A formation…?"
Almost whispering these words to himself as he stared towards the hole in front of him, Xuan Hao suddenly realized that a new set of information had suddenly appeared inside his mind after having been thrown back by the formation that prevented him from entering the hollow part of the mountain.
Taking a short moment to process the information that had suddenly appeared inside his mind, Xuan Hao first and foremost. Realized that the formation was far stronger than anything he could deal with at the moment.
This could easily be seen from the fact that the formation had been able to easily transfer a set of information into his mind, without him even having the chance to resist!
"A restriction that only allows for those below the Domain Lord Realm to enter…"
Other than the feeling of fear he felt after realizing that the formation most likely had the ability to kill him in an instant, Xuan Hao also understood what the hollow part of his mountain really was.
In reality, the hollow mountain that his two disciples, Chu Yang and Bai Ning, had entered, was in fact not a part of his mountain!
Instead, the hole that Chu Yang had fallen through before expanding to its current size, was instead one of countless entrances to an enormous mystic realm!
Not only that, but the mystic realm in question, had once been under the control of an ancient cultivator and said ancient cultivator's inheritance was located inside of this mystic realm!
Outside of this, there was not any more information regarding the mystic realm entrance located in front of him.
However, from what Xuan Hao could guess, it looked like the ancient cultivator had set up the formation because he or she wanted to find someone to inherit the inheritance left inside the mystic realm!
How dangerous the mystic realm was and how big it was, Xuan Hao had absolutely no clue. Even with the short descriptions of Chu Yang and Bai Ning's experience during their short journey into the mystic realm, Xuan Hao could not truly say that he knew how dangerous it was inside.
After all, a mystic realm was a place that was dangerous and life threatening. Even to someone at the Soul Ascension Realm!
Given that, Xuan Hao could at most think of Chu Yang and Bai Ning's short journey, as them being exceptionally lucky…
"But why is there an entrance to a mystic realm here of all places…? Looks like I will have to ask Feng Chen and see if he knows anything about this…"
Muttering this to himself as he glanced over towards the direction of Feng Chen's mountain peak, Xuan Hao could not help smiling a bit wryly.
The reason why he had not gone to visit Feng Chen after returning to the sect, was because the other party was currently in secluded cultivation.
With that in mind, Xuan Hao did not want to disturb the other party.
But now that an entrance to a mystic realm had suddenly appeared on his mountain peak, Xuan Hao did not really feel like caring too much about the fact that Feng Chen had entered closed door cultivation and had completely secluded himself.
Roar~!
"Hm? I almost forgot about… How have you been doing over the past mon- Is it just me, or did you get a bit chubbier…?"
Spotting the winged lion flying over as it greeted him happily with a small roar, Xuan Hao was shocked upon discovering that the winged lion seemed to have grown a size bigger since the last time he saw it… Not only that, but it was clearly not the direction that he was hoping for it to grow in…
ROAR!
Hearing what Xuan Hao said, the winged lion immediately began roaring angrily at him.
"Hehe, calm down, I was just a bit astonished upon realizing that you were preparing to evolve into a ball of fur~"Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
ROAR!!!
Whoosh!
Roaring even louder before as it felt extremely humiliated after hearing this, the winged lion decided to leave before Xuan Hao could say anything.
Roar! Roar! Roar!
Listening to the roars of the winged lion, as it disappeared as quickly as it appeared, Xuan Hao could not help chuckling to himself.
The winged lion seemed to have taken full advantage of the beast tamers during the time he was gone, though he did not know what to say about the fact that his heroic looking winged lion seemed to have suddenly become chubby.
Normally, something like that wouldn't happen no matter how much it ate… The only reason why this would happen, was if it had absorbed too much qi-
"…"
Those damnable beast tamers!
Chapter 484: Feng Chen's Breakthrough!
Shaking his head as he tried to forget about those wasteful beast tamers, Xuan Hao jumped into the air before heading towards Feng Chen's pavilion to ask him about the entrance to the mystic realm located on his mountain peak.
Even if Feng Chen had no idea about the entrance to the mystic realm, he should be able to dig up something about it from the sect's records going back over a thousand years… If that did not yield any information, Xuan Hao would have to search for information about the mystic realm by himself.
Above all, there was no way he would just randomly send his disciples into such a dangerous place without at least having any knowledge about the dangers lurking inside. Trusting the information that he had gained after clashing with the formation was not really something he wanted to bet his disciples lives on...!
Sending in someone other than his disciples was also something that he wanted to avoid… Not only because he didn't want to end up causing the death of the Flying Sword Sect's few Nascent Soul Realm Experts, but also because if there really was a powerful inheritance waiting inside the mystic realm, he wanted one of his disciples to get it!
Selfish or not, he would prefer for one of his three disciples to get the inheritance inside the mystic realm.
Other than worrying about the mystic realm, Xuan Hao could not help looking at his system feeling a bit frustrated. At this point it had already been a few days since he had completed his main quest, but unlike the past, he did not get a new quest immediately after!
Maybe I can trigger a new main quest after completing the side quests, or maybe I can activate it with the help of the mystic realm…
Thinking about this, Xuan Hao could only end up letting out a helpless sigh in the end. No matter what, he had no control over the system and could only wait for it to activate.
Even if he didn't get a new main quest, he still had quite a few side quests to keep him occupied.
Worrying about not having any new quests could wait until he completed them…
For now, he still had three side quests! Namely, the one requiring him to set up the qi gathering formation, the one requiring him to scatter at least on thousand interspatial rings and lastly, the one requiring him to help Chu Yang improve his sense of direction…
All in all, there was nothing for him to worry about in the short term.
Boom!
Feeling a strong aura suddenly burst out from Feng Chen's pavilion in the distance before rushing into the sky. Instantly alarming everyone inside the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao could not help smiling to himself as he witnessed this scene.
"Hm? Seems like Feng Chen is about to exit his seclusion. How lucky!"
Whoosh!
Not waiting around for any longer, Xuan Hao directly increased his speed. Arriving in front of Feng Chen's pavilion only a few seconds later.
"Elder Xuan!? It's great to see you back again!"
"Oh? Zu Fei? Didn't expect to see you waiting here."
Feeling a bit surprised seeing Zu Fei standing in front of Feng Chen's pavilion with a look of anticipation on her face. Wondering how she managed to arrive faster than him.
"Ah, I decided to stand guard during sect master's seclusion!"
"I see…"
Saying this with a weird light shining in her eyes, Zu Fei looked towards the entrance of the pavilion filled with excitement.
Seeing this scene, Xuan Hao decided it was for the better not to ask about why she had decided to stand guard in front of Feng Chen's pavilion when he was safely cultivating inside the Flying Sword Sect. Not to mention the fact that the secluded cultivation of Feng Chen should have lasted at least a few weeks!
Maybe even longer if he was in secluded cultivation during the time that he had contacted him about the future location of the Flying Sword Sect…
Whoosh~
"Elder Xuan! You are here as well!?"
"Indeed, I just returned a short time ago."
Hearing the voice coming from behind him followed by the figure of a large man appearing at the path leading up the mountain peak that Feng Chen's pavilion was located on top of, Xuan Hao responded calmly as he looked over towards Core Elder Wang Hu, who quickly arrived beside him and Zu Fei.
"Ah, looks like everyone are showing up after the commotion caused by Feng Chen…"
Along with an old voice coming from the path, Elder Song soon appeared as well.
Still spotting his splendid long white beard. Looking like both a wise man and a strong expert. Among all the elders of the Flying Sword Sect, Elder Song was the one who resembled what people had in mind when they thought about a strong elder from a sect! this was also one of the reasons why he had gained so many admirers over the many years he had been teaching…
His reputation had increased even more after he had reached the Nascent Soul Realm. During the time Xuan Hao had left the Flying Sword Sect together with Qing Yi, he had even taken over Zu Fei's role as the Vice Sect master, causing his reputation to almost eclipse Feng Chen, the sect master!
"Hoho, looks like Elder Xuan is here as well, I hope you can tell me a bit about the Iron Sky Kingdom when you get some time in the future… I have always been quite curious about the kingdoms located in the core area of the Sky Empire."
"Sure, I will pay a visit in the future when I have the time."Discover, Devour, Delight: NvεlB¡n.
Boom!
Following the short conversation with Elder Song, Xuan Hao and the rest of the core elders having gathered on Feng Chen's mountain peak suddenly turned towards the pavilion, as an even more powerful aura erupted from inside.
Fwoosh!
Before any of the other core elders had any time to react, a terrifying sea of swords suddenly appeared around the pavilion before expanding out towards them.
Bang!
However, before the sea of swords even had a chance to touch the core elders, Xuan Hao waved his hand and supressed it with his own sword domain.
"Looks like Feng Chen managed to construct his own pseudo sword domain… Now he is only a single step away from the Domain Lord Realm!"
Muttering this to himself as he assessed the pseudo sword domain of Feng Chen that had just erupted violently around him, Xuan Hao could not help smiling approvingly, while at the same time feeling grateful that none of Feng Chen's disciples or servants were inside the pavilion currently.
After all, Feng Chen had no control over his pseudo sword domain after successfully constructing it and needed some time to fully control it…
During this period of time, his pseudo sword domain could go out of control and accidently harm those around him and given the strength of his pseudo domain, he would have likely ended up grievously injuring all of the core elders currently present if Xuan Hao had not been around to stop it!
"What in the world!?"
"Did the sect master break through to the Domain Lord Realm!? I knew he was the reincarnation of a sword immortal the moment I saw him!"
"How scary…"
As the core elders exclaimed in surprise upon witnessing the sea of swords quickly tear apart the pavilion before slowly revealing Feng Chen hidden inside, Xuan Hao could not help narrowing his eyes after seeing their surprised faces.
Why did he not even remember these people acting five percent as surprised and awe stricken when they had been informed about him breaking through to the Domain Lord Realm!? Is it perhaps different when Feng Chen has a breakthrough!?
"Calm down, he didn't breakthrough to the Domain Lord Realm, but instead successfully constructed his pseudo domain!"
Feeling a bit irritated thinking about this, Xuan Hao did not even notice that he had unknowingly released part of his aura. Instantly causing the awe-struck core elders to quiet down.
Even Zu Fei in the process of praising Feng Chen to the high heavens looking like a lovestruck young maiden quieted down, as she bit her lips while looking towards the figure of Feng Chen with an unknown desire shinning in her eyes.
…
"Looks like I was not able to breakthrough to the Domain Lord Realm. However, I was at least able to condense a pseudo domain and successfully reach the Half-Step Domain Lord Realm!"
Sitting in the middle of what had once been his pavilion, Feng Chen slowly opened his eyes as he examined his newfound strength.
"Hm? Xuan, Elder Song, Zu Fei, Elder Wang… What are all of you doing here? Huh? Where did my pavilion go…?"
Looking around himself Feng Chen first discovered Xuan Hao and the others before quickly realizing that he was no longer inside his cultivation room but was instead inside a large ruin.
"This… Ehm… Actually, you are sitting inside you pavilion…"
Stepping forward to say this, Elder Song smiled wryly before explaining what had happened.
"What!? I destroyed my pavilion!?"

Chapter 485: Talk with Feng Chen
"Where am I going to stay now… How do I explain this to my disciples?"
Muttering this to himself as he glanced around at the ruins of his pavilion, Feng Chen became even more depressed thinking about how he would explain what had happened to his disciples.
"You can stay at my pavilion until its rebuilt! I have more than enough space available for both you and your disciples!"
Not wasting a single second after hearing what Feng Chen muttered to himself, Zu Fei jumped forward and suggested for him and his disciples to stay at her pavilion during the time that it would take to rebuild the destroyed pavilion.
""…""
Seeing this, Xuan Hao and the two others very clearly understood what Zu Fei wanted to do, but in the end, they decided to not say anything. After all, if they butted in and caused Feng Chen to refuse, they would have to deal with Zu Fei's revenge later on. Not something any of them wanted to deal with…
"Really? Are you sure its fine?"
"Yes! I have more than enough space for you and your disciples!"
"Well, if you say so, then I guess I will have to intrude over the next few weeks…"
Watching the conversation between Feng Chen and Zu Fei proceed smoothly, Xuan Hao could not help shaking his head as he watched the almost predatory look in Zu Fei's eyes upon hearing Feng Chen accept her offer to stay at her pavilion with his disciples.
In the end, Feng Chen had unknowingly walked into a trap set up by Zu Fei, whether he would be able to leave in the future was something that would depend on Zu Fei…
"Now, let's go to my pavilion and I will sho-"
"Sect master, I have something to talk to you about, it's rather important…"
Walking over towards Feng Chen side before Zu Fei had the chance to drag Feng Chen back to her pavilion and show him where he would be staying, Xuan Hao interrupted the over eager Zu Fei and moved over.
Seeing the serious expression on Xuan Hao's face as he said this, Feng Chen instantly showed a similarly serious expression.
"Something important? I understand, we can go to your place and talk about it now that my place has turned into this…"
Not minding the fact that Xuan Hao had interrupted Zu Fei, Feng Chen very well understood that it should be something quite serious for Xuan Hao to look for him.
Not to mention that he had just returned from the Iron Sky Kingdom… perhaps it was something regarding the Iron Sky Kingdom or some possible enemy!?
Whoosh!
Thinking along this line, Feng Chen quickly left together with Xuan Hao after a quick word with the other elders present on the mountain peak, as both of them headed towards Xuan hao's pavilion.
…
"Your mountain peak has an entrance to a mystic realm!?"
"Yes, I wondered if you had any idea about this, but from your reaction I can guess that you also had no clue about it…"
Shaking his head disappointedly realizing that Feng Chen had no clue about the entrance to the mystic realm located on his mountain peak. Not that he had expected for him to know about it in the first place. After all, if that was the case, he should have not allocated the mountain peak to him back when he reached the Nascent Soul Realm and officially became a core elder of the Flying Sword Sect…
"Hm, a mystic realm is an extremely dangerous place. Even for someone like you who is in the Domain Lord Realm, so I think we should take things slowly and see if we can find out just what kind of mystic realm, we are dealing with first!"
Not forgetting to mention just how dangerous a mystic realm was before warning Xuan Hao about entering the mystic realm, Feng Chen looked extremely serious.
"Well, I was hoping that you would be able to look through the sect's historical records and see if you could find out if there is any mention regarding the mystic realm entrance, or at least a mention of some sort of hollow mountain peak."
Still not mentioning anything about the possible inheritance that might be present inside the mystic realm, along with the fact that nobody at the Domain Lord Realm or above could enter, Xuan Hao looked hopefully towards Feng Chen.
In the first place, his original goal had been to see if there was any information about the mystic realm entrance in the sect's historical records.
However, the problem here, was the fact that the number of historical records present inside the Flying Sword Sect was enormous! Even Xuan Hao would need at least a few weeks, if not months to go through them on his own and Xuan Hao really didn't want to waste such a long time on going over old historical records…Immerse Yourself in the Storyverse: NvεlB¡n.
"I should be able to do that with the help of a few other elders… But it will take a bit of time, as going over a thousand years of historical records is no small task. Especially given the fact that the past elders and sect masters were quite eager to write down what was going on during their time…"
"That is more than enough! Not like the entrance to the mystic realm will go anywhere…"
"Hah… I will first stabilize my cultivation realm properly before finding a few available elders for the task of looking through the historical records, I will make sure to contact you in case I find anything. If you want to join in and learn a bit more about the history of the sect at the same time, you can visit the large underground library where all the historical records of the sect are kept. The entrance is located at the base of my mountain peak."
"Thanks, I will make sure to pay a visit at some point. After all, I still need to spend some time with my disciples after returning…"
With the end of the conversation about the mystic realm entrance between Xuan Hao and Feng Chen, Xuan Hao and Feng Chen began talking about what Xuan Hao had experienced during his time in the Iron Sky Kingdom also talking about how strong the Iron Sky Kingdom was compared to a kingdom like the Heavenly Sky Kingdom located at the edges of the Sky Empire.
"Well, I should take my leave for now, I can already feel my cultivation base growing more and more unstable."
"No worries, you still need to stabilize your cultivation base!
"Farewell, Elder Xuan, I will make sure to inform you in case something is found in the historical records!"
"Haha, get going before you end up permanently damaging your cultivation base!"
Sending off Feng Chen with a slight smile on his face, Xuan Hao could not help himself from laughing as he looked over Feng Chen's current condition.
Not only had he not stabilized his cultivation base yet, but he had clearly attempted to drag the matter out to chat with him about the Iron Sky Kingdom for longer.
Feng Chen was simply way too curious about the stronger kingdoms of the Sky Empire and the Core region of the Sky Empire…
Whoosh~
Along with the calm midday wind blowing over the mountain peak, Xuan Hao watched Feng Chen slowly make his way down the mountain side.
Even with him already having comprehended True Sword Intent and having the ability to fly using his sword, there was quite a risk in doing so given the current state of his cultivation base. In the end, the safest option of walking back was taken.
"Now that I think about it, why is he making his way back to his pavilion? Did he perhaps forget that he destroyed it…?"
Hah…
Not knowing what to say as he watched Feng Chen make his way back towards what remained of his pavilion, Xuan Hao let out a sigh as he took out his communication talisman to inform Zu Fei to pick Feng Chen up.
"I should check up on Chu Yang and Bai Ning and get a proper look on how much both of them have improved over the past month…"
Muttering this to himself as he put away the communication talisman without listening to the response of Zu Fei on the other side, Xuan Hao glanced over in the direction of his pavilion where his disciples were currently staying.
Outside of Qing Yi that had gained quite a lot of combat experience during their journey back to the Flying Sword Sect, Chu Yang and Bai Ning should not have been able to gain any real life and death practice during the time he was gone and would at most have settled with training with some of the other disciples.
Bai Ning is still a bit too young to begin real life and death practice for now, but it should be fine for Chu Yang….
Thinking this, Xuan Hao slowly began making plans for how he would spend his next few days training his two disciples before making his way to the Shattered Star Peaks to absorb the blue divine energy on the second star peak.

Chapter 486: Annoying Young Disciple
Having decided on what he was going to do over the next few days, Xuan Hao didn't stand around outside his pavilion for long. Soon jumping into the air before heading towards the pagoda of enlightenment to see if he could find some new skill and techniques that he could teach his disciples.
In the first place, Xuan Hao had already realized just how bad it was for him to only have learned around a dozen or so different techniques given his current cultivation realm!
Take Feng Chen as an example, the sheer number of sword techniques available to him numbered in the hundreds, if not thousands!
On the other hand, Xuan Hao only knew around five or so sword techniques…
Even if they were way higher level than the ones Feng Chen had learned, it still didn't change the fact that Feng Chen was far more experienced and would have a far easier time compared to him when it came to teaching anyone the way of the sword.
Having a sword domain did not really provide any assistance when it came to teaching his disciples the fundamentals regarding the sword and that was not even mentioning the fact that one of his disciples were using a spear. Not a sword…
With such a small number of techniques available to him. How in the world was he possibly going to be able to properly teach his three disciples…?
What in the world have I been doing up till now?
Smiling wryly as he remembered just how little he had done for his three disciples during the time he had taken them in, Xuan Hao stelled himself to become a better teacher and at least be able to help them out more when it came to improving the skills, they excelled in.
Learning spear techniques to help Chu Yang improve his spear techniques, learn blacksmithing to help Bai Ning forge high level artifacts and weapons, and finally, increase his alchemy so he could help out Qing Yi when she inevitably reached the Artisan Realm in the future!
Thump~
Landing on the ground in front of the pagoda of enlightenment, where the different techniques of the Flying Sword Sect were stored, Xuan Hao directly entered after greeting the elder standing guard in front of the pagoda.
"I should look around the first floor first and try to pick out a few of the lower-level techniques first…"
Muttering this to himself as he entered the first floor of the pagoda of enlightenment, Xuan Hao suddenly came to a stop upon noticing a few disciples passing by in front of him.
It was only at this moment that Xuan Hao realized that the first floor of the pagoda was almost completely filled up with the younger Qi Condensation Realm disciples! Not only that, but a quick scan with his divine sense also revealed the fact that disciples were present on the floors above him.
"…"
Not saying a single word, Xuan Hao quickly disguised himself as a young disciple before any of the disciples had the chance to recognize him. The last thing he wanted, was for a swarm of young disciples coming over to disturb him while he was busy reading…
"Hey, have you guys heard about the recent events at the tempest sect?"
"Haha, you talking about the thing that happened to their supreme elder? That was indeed hilarious, a senior brother of mine was present and recorded the entire thing with a special technique!"
"Really!? You have to show me!"Discover, Devour, Delight: NvεlB¡n.
Listening to the small talk from the nearby disciples standing close to the entrance of the pagoda talking about recent events happening inside the Flying Sword Sect territory, Xuan Hao could not help breathing out a sigh of relief. He had not been spotted by any of the young disciples before disguising himself!
I should look for some spear techniques first. After all, what I'm lacking in the most when it comes to teaching Chu Yang, is the fact that I haven't really learned any spear techniques. At this point Chu Yang should have far exceed my level when it comes to the spear…
Shaking his head as he thought about this, Xuan Hao decided to first go and find the foundational low level spear techniques located on the first floor of the pagoda of enlightenment.
First, he would learn a few spear techniques on the first floor of the pagoda before moving on to the higher floors, where the more complex techniques would be located.
"Hello! Are you new? I don't think I have seen you before…"
"Yes."
Hearing the voice of a young girl from behind him just as he was about to pick up a spear technique from the bookshelf in front of him, Xuan Hao casually answered without bothering to turn around. Picking out the spear technique as he began reading through it.
"I thought so! If you need any help, just say it! I know where all the techniques on the first floor are located! I even know where the higher-level techniques hidden away on the first floor are located! Not only that, but-"
"…"
Not bothering to answer the young girl talking behind him as she began talking about all sorts of different hidden techniques and their location on the first floor, Xuan Hao continued reading through the spear technique he had taken out.
[Foundational Spear]
A simple spear technique suited for cultivators between the Qi Condensation Realm and the Foundation Establishment Realm. The reason why Xuan Hao had chosen this spear technique, was because it helped one lay a solid foundation to improve one's comprehension of the spear in the future.
The Foundational Spear technique allowed one to transition to higher level spear techniques more easily in the future.
From what he knew, Chu Yang should also have trained a similar spear technique before he had been handed over the Soul Spear Divine Mantra. Due to his mastery one thi foundational spear technique, he had easily managed to adapt to the Soul Spear Divine Mantra and learn in within a short period of time.
Because of this, Xuan Hao also planned to learn a spear technique that would help him establish a solid foundation before beginning to comprehend the Divine Soul Spear Mantra that Chu Yang was practicing.
This way, he would be able to easily help out Chu Yang whenever he encountered any trouble regarding his cultivation mantra, or the spear moves inside of it.
"-after the divine spirit mantra, there is also the- Ah! Your leaving!?"
Having already picked out the spear technique that he was planning to learn, Xuan Hao was about to take his leave, when the young girl who had been talking for the last 10 or so minutes straight suddenly stopped him by placing herself in front of him with a sad expression. Tears threatening to fall at any moment.
"…"
Not knowing what to say when confronted with something like this, Xuan Hao just looked speechlessly at the young girl in front of him looking like she was about to start crying at any moment.
In the first place, he had barely even talked to her, yet she appeared like she was about to cry the moment he turned to leave…
What in the world is with this girl…?
Thinking this to himself as he looked over the young girl, Xuan Hao could not help showing a slightly surprised expression upon noticing how unique her appearance was.
Outside of her pure yellow cat like eyes, the young girl had long flowy dark hair that almost reached down to her feet. Looking quite funny given her short height.
"Hm…? Fang Yu?"
"Ah!? Do you know me!?"
"Yes, I think I saw you when visiting the Formation Hall in the past. It's just… You looked taller back then…"
Not revealing his identity, Xuan Hao just mentioned that he had visited the Formation Hall in the past and had seen her there. In the first place, she had already become a member of the Formation Hall, so it would not be too weird if he had seen her there before.
More importantly, Xuan Hao was curious about why Fang Yu suddenly seemed to have shrunk in size… Well, most her had shrunk in size. For some reason, her hair seemed to have not been affected at all and was still the same length that he remembered…
"This… Ahm! I-I had a small accident during an experiment when trying to set up a new formation… Ah! No, it's not like I'm bad at setting up formations or anything like that!"
"No need to worry, I'm saying your bad with formations or anything like that, I was just a bit curious about why you seemed to have shrunk in size."
Shaking his head as he watched Fang Yu look like she was about to start crying at any point once again, Xuan Hao could not help thinking that whatever had reduced her size, also seemed to have decreased her mental age in the process…

Chapter 487: Song Jia
"Ahm… The formation I was working with was a new one that was made together with the Alchemy Hall, using a liquid made by them as the core of the formation. In the end, some of the liquid meant for the formation ended up getting on me, causing me to shrink in size…"
Listening to Fang Yu's explanation of how she had ended up shrinking to the size of a young child, Xuan Hao could not help wondering just how Fang Yu had gotten involved with the Alchemy Hall and the Formation Hall's attempt at making a new formation.
At the same time, Xuan Hao also felt himself growing quite curious about the formation that the Formation Hall and Alchemy Hall were attempting to create…
"Is there any way for you to return to normal again, or are you stuck like this…?"
Asking one of the questions that had popped into his mind after finding out that Fang Yu had shrunk in size, Xuan Hao eagerly looked down towards the small Fang Yu as he waited for an answer.
"Ahm… If I'm not wrong, it should at most last around week…"
"How long have you been stuck like that?"
"Two weeks…"
"…"
Seeing the depressed expression on her face upon mentioning this, Xuan Hao felt a bit bad for her and inspected her body with his divine sense to see if there was anything he could do to help her undo the effects of the liquid from the Alchemy Hall.
Hm? Looks like this is the liquid that she was talking about, it seems like some of it ended up getting absorbed into her body before gathering inside her dantian.
Thinking this to himself as his divine sense secretly entered Fang Yu's dantian without the other party noticing anything, Xuan Hao used part of his power to draw the liquid inside her dantian out.
Whoosh~!
"Ah! W-what is happening!?"
Along with the surprised voice of Fang Yu, she suddenly started growing rapidly before reaching her normal height.
Rapidly putting away the liquid that he had drawn out from her dantian before she discovered anything, Xuan Hao quickly took out a plain robe and threw it towards Fang Yu. After all, her clothes didn't really start growing along with her and was about to rip apart at any moment after Fang Yu's sudden growth.
"T-thank you for the robe, I-I will be taking my leave now…" Nervously thanking him for the robe before putting it on, Fang Yu quickly ran out of the pagoda before any of the surrounding disciples had any time to realize what had just happened.
Even if she had been given a robe to cover herself up when her clothes inevitably ripped apart due to her sudden growth, Fang Yu didn't really plan to stay inside the pagoda of enlightenment with only a robe on!
"Well, at least I can focus on reading now…"
Chuckling quietly to himself upon seeing Fang Yu run away, Xuan Hao soon focused back onto the spear technique now that there was no longer anyone around to distract him.
For now, checking out the liquid made by the Alchemy Hall, that had ended up causing Fang Yu to shrink, would have to wait until he was finished at the pagoda of enlightenment.
At the very least, he did not have to deal with anyone talking to him now that Fang Yu was gone and after only a few hours. Finished reading through all the foundational spear techniques on the first, second and third floor of the pagoda.
While this had not increased his skill when it came to handling a spear too much, as he had not practiced yet, it had increased his knowledge regarding the spear to a whole new level compared to what it was before. Even if Chu Yang came up to ask him for help in something related to the spear, he would now be able to answer his questions and help him out regarding his fundamentals.
However, he still needed to learn more and practice first hand, to be able to help Chu Yang polish his spear moves and improve his mastery over the Divine Soul Spear Mantra… Something he had yet to even start learning at this point!
"This should be enough for now; I still have to teach Bai Ning before it gets too late."
Muttering this to himself as he began making his way out of the pagoda of enlightenment, Xuan Hao did not plan on staying for too long. After all, he still planned to train Bai Ning for a few days before heading to the Shattered Star Peaks.
Getting absorbed into the process of learning the spear was not really in his plans at the moment and he just planned to learn enough to not seem completely useless in the subject when Chu Yang would inevitably come and ask him for help in the future.
"Hm?"
With this in mind, Xuan Hao was just about to leave the third floor, when he suddenly noticed someone looking at him before slowly approaching him.
"Elder Xuan!"
Recognizing the young girl coming over the moment she called out his name, Xuan Hao could not help wondering just how in the world she could see through his disguise…Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
"You are… The granddaughter of Elder Song?"
"Yes, you can just call me Song Jia!"
Bowing her head respectfully as she officially introduced herself, Song Jia showed a pure smile as she slowly lifted her head before staring back up at Xuan Hao with her cloudy pair of eyes starring directly at him.
If not for the fact that he already knew that she was blind, Xuan Hao would never have realized that she was blind on his own. After all, she was walking around like a normal person without any difficulty and could even see through his disguise with ease…
It had to be known that even someone at the Domain Lord Realm would have a hard time seeing through his disguise, yet a young girl only at the Foundation Establishment Realm had managed to see through it!
Not to mention her ability to easily find spiritual herbs, which she had displayed during the small adventure that they had gone on together, where she ended up finding a Spirit Grade Spiritual Herb, the Earth Flower Root.
Even Xuan Hao felt amazed the more he learned about this young girl called Song Jia, and he felt even more curious about where Elder Song had picked her up from!
Another thing that made him curious, was the fact that Song Jia who had already reached the Foundation Establishment Realm was unknown inside the Flying Sword Sect.
Thinking about all of this, Xuan Hao could not help remembering how weak the young girl had been during the small adventure they had gone on. Even though she had reached the Foundation Establishment Realm, she had no ability to fight against a demon beast that was only in the Qi Condensation Realm…
The disease that she was suffering from, likely had something to do with her incredibly low combat strength.
With this in mind, Xuan Hao could easily guess why the young girl was not more known in the sect and was seemingly hidden away by Elder Song.
"Hah…"
"I-is there something wrong…?"
Shaking his head as he thought about the sad circumstances of the young girl in front of him, Xuan Hao was taken aback as he heard the girl in question asking him if something was wrong.
"It's nothing, I just remembered something sad all of a sudden… Anyway, why are you here? Won't your grandpa Song get worried if he realizes that you are running around without his permission?"
"Haha, I don't need to worry about that at all! Just recently, grandpa got assigned to help out looking for setting up a group of elders to look for something in the sect's historical records by the sect master! He won't be back for a day or two!"
Smirking triumphantly as she said this, Song Jia also decided to strike a small pose. Making her look exceptionally cute to the few disciples passing by.
"…"
Compared to the young disciples passing by taking a few extra glances towards the happy Song Jia, Xuan Hao face turned dark for a short moment upon hearing Song Jia explain what had happened to Elder Song.
So… It's my fault she ran away from home…?
Smiling a bit awkwardly as he realized this, Xuan Hao understood that he could not leave the young girl to wander the sect on her own. After all, it was in essence his fault that she had ended up getting an opportunity to run away from Elder Song to explore the sect. Not to mention the fact that she might end up doing something stupid if no one looked after her, like going to the demon beast forest to look for spiritual herbs on her own…
"Do you have anything planned over the next few days that Elder Song is busy?"
"Yes, I planned to visit the demon beast forest again and see if I could find some more spiritual herbs!"
This idiot…
"How about this. Instead of going to the demon beast forest to look for spiritual herbs, you can come to my pavilion, and I can show you around, I even have a large, winged cat that you can play with~"
Not feeling the slightest bit of regret selling out the winged tiger, Xuan Hao smiled kindly towards Song Jia as he said this.
"Really!?"
"Yes, I have more than enough empty space there and one more person staying for a few days won't hurt…"
With this, Elder Song can't blame me for accidently causing his workload to increase…

Chapter 488: Forging a Defensive Artifac
After leaving the pagoda of enlightenment together with Song Jia, both of them soon returned to his pavilion, where Xuan Hao quickly arranged for Song Jia to play with the winged tiger. Even if it protested this. Unfortunately for the winged tiger, it had no way to refuse Xuan Hao and, in the end, could only obey him to play with Song Jia.
Making sure that Song Jia was properly entertained with the winged tiger, Xuan Hao didn't stay around for much longer and left her in the care of the winged tiger, while he made his way towards the place Bai Ning was currently located at.
Not surprising to him at all, Bai Ning was currently at the Blacksmithing Hall.
…
At the same time Xuan Hao had made his way back to his pavilion together with Song Jia, Bai Ning was excitedly staring at a large forge in front of him as he patiently pulled out a mixture of melted metals.
"Bai Ning… Are you sure this is going to work…? The last time you did this, you almost ended blowing up an entire forging area!"
Elder Teng, one of the elders from the Blacksmithing Hall that Bai Ning had gotten along with quite well during his visits to the Blacksmithing Hall nervously asked while staring at the molten metal slowly being shaped by Bai Ning.
"It's fine elder Teng! I'm sure it's going to work this time around!"
"I really hope so… Hah, if only I arrived before you had begun…"
Not fully believing in what Bai Ning had said, Elder Teng looked even more nervous than before, as he kept his attention focused on the artifact slowly forming under Bai Ning's hands.
Even if the artifact had yet to fully form yet, it still excluded a scary aura causing even Elder Teng, a Core Formation Realm Expert to feel a bit cautious.
The only reason why he was staying around, was to safe Bai Ning in case he failed once again and ended up causing a deadly explosion in the process…
Bang! Bang!
Along with the artifact slowly being formed under Bai Ning's control, Elder Teng could finally get an idea of what the artifact was supposed to look like when it was finished.
"It's a bracelet…? Not to mention a defensive artifact… And it should be somewhere between the Earth and Spirit Grade!"
Muttering this to himself, Elder Teng quickly began looking over the bracelet slowly forming in front of Bai Ning.
At this point, Bai Ning had already gone way farther than he had the last time and Elder Teng had already begun to relax, as he realized that Bai Ning might actually succeed this time around without blowing anything up in the process.
Fwoosh~!
However, just as Elder Teng had begun relaxing and the artifact was about to fully form. An all too familiar thing happened, as the half-formed metal bracelet began violent absorbing the surrounding qi between heaven and earth.
"The final step has started, but it's absorbing way too much and too quickly for an Earth Grade Artifact!"
Whoosh!
"Ah?!"
Frowning to himself as he narrowed his eyes at this scene, Elder Teng dashed over and grabbed Bai Ning before escaping from the forging room together with the young boy.
Given that the artifact had entered the final step and had begun absorbing the qi between heaven and earth, there was no need for Bai Ning to stay around and potentially ending up staying next to it in case it blew up…
FWOOSH!
The moment both of them left the forging room, the absorption speed of the metal bracelet seemed to have increased another level, as it greedily devoured all the qi rushing towards it. Growing stronger and stronger with each passing moment.
"What is happening over there!? Is one of the elder's perhaps forging a Spirit Grade Artifact!?"Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
"No, that is the location of junior Bai Ning's forge…"
"Again!? Is he perhaps trying to blow up the Blacksmithing Hall!?"
"I hope the explosion this time around won't affect any of the nearby forges… Mine is located only a few meters away from junior Bai Ning's forge…"
As Bai Ning and Elder Teng had arrived outside the forge, they were instantly greeted by a large group of blacksmithing disciples who had gathered to see what was happening.
"Oh no! Elder Teng came out with junior Bai Ning! Everyone! Run!"
Spotting Elder Teng and Bai Ning who had come out from the forge, one of the blacksmithing disciples screamed fearfully before running away.
"Oh no… My forge!"
"Run everyone!"
Soon enough, all the blacksmithing disciples gathered around Bai Ning's forge realized that the place would most likely blow up shortly and began scattering in all directions. Trying to get as far away from Bai Ning's forge as possible.
Only when they had gotten a few hundred meters away did they come to a stop before cautiously glancing in the direction of Bai Ning's forge.
"…"
I just blew up my forge a few times, okay!? Nobody got injured in the end…
Only able to smile wryly when he saw this scene, Bai Ning could only blame a few incidents that had happened over the past month on the other blacksmithing disciple's fearful behaviour…
Rumble~
Seeing the forge behind him suddenly begin shaking violently as the absorption of qi by the bracelet he had made seemed to have reached the peak, Bai Ning quickly followed the footsteps of his seniors and hid behind a large crate a few hundred meters away from his forge, Elder Teng following closely behind him.
Fwoosh~
"D-did it succeed-"
BOOM!
Just as Bai Ning was about to get out from his cover and go to check out the bracelet inside his forge following the absorption of qi stopping, a violent explosion suddenly erupted with his forge at the centre.
Instantly reducing the closest forge to rubble in the process.
"Nooooo! My forge!"
Ignoring the painful cry from one of the senior blacksmithing disciples, Bai Ning remained focused on his forge as the smoke from the explosion slowly lifted.
"Hahaha! It succeeded!" Seeing the bracelet inside the ruins of what had once been his forge, Bai Ning happily exclaimed to himself before rushing over towards the ruins of his forge.
In the first place, the forges of the Blacksmithing Hall used by the blacksmithing disciples, were not worth much in the first place and could easily be rebuilt in a day or two.
What Bai Ning truly cared about at this point, was the fact that the defensive artifact had survived the explosion! Not only that, but upon getting closer, Bai Ning realized that the bracelet did not have a single scratch on it.
Even after being at the centre of such a large explosion, it had not sustained the slightest bit of damage!
"Elder Teng, Elder Teng, what grade do you think this artifact is!?"
Filled with excitement, Bai Ning turned towards Elder Teng who had been following closely behind him with an amazed expression on his face. Clearly not expecting for the bracelet to survive the explosion.
"From what I can see, it should at the very least have reached the Peak of the Earth Grade, there is even a chance that it managed to reach the Spirit Grade!"
Saying this, Elder Teng felt surprised at what he had just said. After all, if the bracelet had reached the Spirit Grade, it would mean that Bai Ning had broken through and reached the Expert Blacksmithing Realm!
Not to mention that it had taken Elder Teng a good decade or two to reach the Expert Blacksmithing Realm, Bai Ning was still only thirteen years old!
A thirteen-year-old Expert Blacksmith? How terrifying would that be?
Even with the thousand-year history of the Flying Sword Sect, there had never been a thirteen-year-old Expert Blacksmith…
"What is all this ruckus?! Just what is happening out here and who blew up a forge!?"
As Bai Ning walked forward to pick up the bracelet now laying in the middle of what had once been his forge, an old voice echoed out from behind. Followed by an old grumpy looking man appearing.
"Grand Elder…"
"Hm? Elder Teng? What happened here…?"
Discovering who the old man was, Bai Ning no longer paid any attention as he entered the ruins of his forge to get the bracelet that he had made. Leaving Elder Teng to explain what had happened to the old man.
The old man in question, was none other than the Grand Elder of the Blacksmithing Hall, Elder Lou Wei! A Peak Core Formation Realm Expert and an Artisan Blacksmith!
His status inside the Flying Sword Sect could be said to be comparable to the Core Elders who had reached the Nascent Soul Realm!
"Bai Ning, come over here and show me what you made, I will check it out and determine its grade for you."
The moment Bai Ning came back out from the ruins of his forge, the Grand Elder Lou no longer seemed as grumpy as before and was instead looked towards him filled with excitement.
"Yes, Grand Elder…"
Obediently handing the defensive artifact in the shape of a bracelet that he had made over to the Grand Elder, Bai Ning pertinently stood on the side and waited for his judgement.
No matter what, Bai Ning knew very well that other than his master's identity helping him out, the only reason why he could continue blowing up forge after forge inside the Blacksmithing Hall, was because the Grand Elder had helped him after seeing his immense talent for blacksmithing…

Chapter 489: Sacrificial Defensive Artifac
Smiling happily as he began inspecting the bracelet made by Bai Ning, the Grand Elder of the Blacksmithing Hall used part of his strength to activate the bracelet, causing a thin barrier to cover his entire body.
"This is quite an interesting artifact that you have made, young boy! From the looks of it, it should be somewhere between the Earth Grade and the Spirit Grade. All that is left now, is to test how strong it is…"
Saying this, the Grand Elder of the Blacksmithing Hall proceeded to use part of his strength to test out the defensive capabilities of the thin barrier covering his body.
Bang!
Crack~
Raising one of his eyebrows in astonishment upon seeing that the thin barrier covering his body, albeit filled with cracks, was not broken. The Grand Elder took a short time to recover, as he had not expected for the thin barrier to survive his attack.
"Looks like this bracelet of yours is more impressive than expected, I had only thought it was somewhere between the Earth and Spirit Grade, but from the looks of it, it's defensive capabilities should have already reached the Spirit Grade. More than capable of defending against someone in the Core Formation Realm!"
Handing the bracelet over to Bai Ning after explaining all of this, the grand elder suddenly seemed to have noticed something, as he narrowed both his eyes.
"You have to be careful when using it, as it should only be able to work a limited number of times before breaking…"
"Really!?"
"Yes, just look here. More cracks should appear on the bracelet with every use. Until finally breaking… Hah, if it managed to truly reach the Spirit Grade, this flaw would not exist"
Shaking his head as he pointed down towards a small crack that had appeared on the bracelet after having withstood his earlier attack. The Grand Elder felt that it was a pity such an artifact would be destroyed only after a few uses.
However, in the end, it would still act as a life-saving defensive artifact for the few times that it could be used…
"Hah… This flaw should be what allows this bracelet to archive the strength comparable to a Spirit Grade Defensive Artifact…"
Sighing to himself as he said this, the grand elder soon took his leave after having found out the origin of the disturbance and at the same time looked over Bai Ning's newest artifact. The destruction of the two forges never seemed to have bothered him, as he didn't pay any attention to them during the short time he was there.
"So, it was not a Spirit Grade Artifact, but instead a sacrificial defensive artifact…"
Muttering this to himself as he looked at the bracelet with disappointment, Bai Ning understood that the bracelet didn't end up becoming his first ever Spirit Grade Artifact…
"What are you looking so disappointed for!? If you really managed to forge a Spirit Grade Artifact and managed to become an Expert Blacksmith, what in the world would someone like me do with themselves!? You still have a long time ahead of you kid, you will surely be able to become an Expert Blacksmith in the future. Even becoming an Artisan Blacksmith shouldn't be too hard with your talent!"
Feeling a wave of annoyance upon seeing how disappointed Bai Ning was upon realizing that the bracelet had not reached the Spirit Grade, Elder Teng could not stop himself from saying this.
"I understand Elder Teng, I was simply way too impatient earlier! Thank you for your guidance, I will not try to hurry up my breakthrough and will take some time to slowly familiarize myself with the Peak of the Journeyman Realm before attempting to make a Spirit Grade Artifact again!"
"…"
Hearing what Bai Ning said before the young boy ran off towards one of the empty forges, Elder Teng had a feeling that the Flying Sword Sect might soon see the birth of a new Expert Blacksmith!
While an Expert Blacksmith was not even close to the importance of an Expert Alchemist, it would still be a significant thing on the level of getting a new elder at the Core Formation Realm! Something that would help increase the strength of the Flying Sword Sect's foundation.
"I should also try to increase my realm… I can't have him catch up to me so easily…"
Smiling a bit to himself as he watched Bai Ning's figure disappear, Elder Teng didn't stay around for long, as he returned to his own forge to improve his own blacksmithing realm.
…
"Looks like someone blew up a forge recently, I wonder what happened… From the scale of the explosion, it should be one of the elders at the Expert Realm. Those blacksmithing elders really need to be more careful."
Arriving at the Blacksmithing Hall only a short time after everything had concluded, Xuan Hao only glanced over the ruins of the two ruined forges for a short moment before moving towards the location of his disciple.
Whoosh!
Stopping a few meters outside the forging room that Bai Ning was currently inside of, Xuan Hao used his divine sense to check out the situation inside. After all, the last thing he wanted to do, was accidently interrupt his disciple while he was in the process of forging and end up ruining whatever he was making.
"Good, looks like he isn't forging anything and is just fiddling with a bracelet…"
Not waiting around outside after finding out that Bai Ning was not busy forging something, Xuan Hao directly entered the forging room-
"M-master?!"
Instantly catching his little disciple by surprise, as he had not expected for his master to suddenly show up all of a sudden.
"A-are you perhaps here because of… That…?"
"Hm? What are you talking about? I'm here to bring you back to the pavilion for some training. Did something perhaps happen for you to be worried about me showing up?"
Not expecting Bai Ning to react all guilty the moment he saw him, Xuan Hao could not help frowning as he asked this.
Did his disciple perhaps cause trouble while he had been gone during the past month!?
"Nonono, it's nothing master, I was just thinking about something else!"
"Let's go back to the pavilion for now…"
"Yes master!"
Not believing that it was nothing, Xuan Hao decided to ignore it for now. If Bai Ning had really caused a serious problem, the elders of the Blacksmithing Hall would inform him about it…
Bai Ning didn't say anything about it either and obediently followed him out of the Blacksmithing Hall.
Whoosh!
Not wanting to waste too much time on getting back on foot, Xuan Hao used his domain to fly back together with Bai Ning after leaving the Blacksmithing Hall.
"Wah!"
Catching Bai Ning by surprise, as he fearful clung to his master upon suddenly discovering the ground disappearing beneath his feet.
"Calm down, you are inside my domain and won't fall…"
"R-really…?"
"Yes."Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
Realizing that he had yet to fly with Bai Ning after having acquired his domain, Xuan Hao could not help chuckling a bit to himself as he watched Bai Ning begin moving around mid-air under the support of his domain.
"Look, look master! I can fly!"
Rolling his eyes as Bai Ning moved around mid-air like he was swimming in water, Xuan Hao decided to fly a little slower. Allowing Bai Ning to play around mid-air for a few minutes.
…
"Is this really the place where the entrance to the secret realm was located…?"
"Yes, the Sky Empire proclaimed that the secret realm was destroyed during their initial exploration together with the Onyx Empire. The Onyx Empire also supports this claim, so it's almost certain that it's the truth. After all, who doesn't know about the relationship between the Sky and Onyx Empire…"
"But… If they are lying and that secret realm did indeed belong to someone from that place…"
"…"
At the place where the secret realm Xuan Hao and Chi Hu had entered in the past was located, two people arrived mid-air above the now deep and seemingly large hole in the ground that had appeared in the place where the isolated valley and the entrance to the secret realm had once been located.
"Hm? It looks like there is quite a strong demon beast digging down there…"
About to head down into the chasm below, one of the two figures froze as he said this.
"Looks like you are right. From the looks of it, it should have reached the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm and will probably soon take on the first tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm…"
Frowning as he also looked down into the large hole that was below them, the other figure didn't dare move any closer to the place where the entrance to the secret realm had once been located.
"Looks like we will have to inform master about this, it's no longer something we can deal with ourselves. Only someone in the Soul Ascension Realm can deal with that giant lizard…"
"Indeed… Let's head back…"
Whoosh!
Following the short exchange, the two figures above the isolated valley disappeared into thin air, like they had never been there in the first place. Even the giant lizard close to reaching the Soul Ascension Realm didn't notice them from start to finish and just continued digging. Making the hole even bigger...

Chapter 490: Training with Bai Ning!
"Show me how much you have improved during the month I have been gone!"
"Yes master!"
Standing at the training ground together with Bai Ning, Xuan Hao patiently watched as Bai Ning began demonstrating a simple palm technique with his strength at the Seventh Stage of the Qi Condensation Realm.
Whoosh!
So Weak… Looks like he hasn't really been spending any time learning any combat techniques over the past month. Only learning one of the simplest Mortal Rank Palm Techniques.Immerse Yourself in the Storyverse: NvεlB¡n.
Shaking his head as he watched the sad display on Bai Ning's part, Xuan Hao realized that he would need to spend some more time with his younger disciple and encourage him to improve his cultivation and combat techniques… Because without it, he would focus all of his energy on blacksmithing!
Even if the Unformed Mantra that he was cultivating helped him improve his cultivation realm while forging, it did not help him improve his combat techniques in the slightest.
What Xuan Hao wanted was not for Bai Ning to focus all his energy on increasing his combat strength, but instead just spending some time so he could protect himself in the future…
"Master, how was it!?"
Walking over to his master with a nervous expression on his face after having finished his demonstration, Bai Ning obviously knew that his performance was not up to par as he asked this.
"…"
Looking down on the nervous Bai Ning waiting for his judgment, Xuan Hao was just about to say a few kind words of encouragement to the young boy, but quickly stopped himself before doing so.
If he really just said a few encouraging words and tried to be kind, Bai Ning would likely just return to focusing only on improving his blacksmithing skills every time he left him alone! This was not something Xuan Hao wanted to see happen, as even if Bai Ning became a renowned Blacksmith like Yi Min, he still needed to have the ability to protect himself!
"The execution of the palm technique was sloppy, and I could clearly tell that you at most practiced it four or five times before today! Did you really not practice anything else during the last month…?"
"I-I d-didn't…"
Watching how nervous Bai Ning was as he answered while lowering his head shamefully, Xuan Hao could not help letting out a quite sigh inside his mind as he watched this.
"For now, let's forget about this and start practicing the palm technique you learned."
Not wanting to stress out the young boy anymore after having confronted him about his lack of practice in regard to combat techniques, Xuan Hao didn't ask any more questions regarding his cultivation realm, his progress on his Unformed Mantra and so on. After all, he already knew the answer to these questions.
In the end, it looked like Bai Ning understood how disappointed he was after finding out how little he had improved in his cultivation realm and qi techniques…
"Y-yes master…"
Nodding his head even more nervously than before, Bai Ning began following the guidance of his master, as he slowly began improving his understanding of the palm technique that he had learned over the past month.
On Xuan Hao's side, helping his disciples learn a simple Mortal Rank Palm Technique was as easy as breathing.
Even without seeing the technique itself, he could easily see through it after a simple demonstration by Bai Ning and help him understand the technique. Even improving the technique, itself during the process was an easy thing with his current cultivation realm.
Towards the end, this had resulted in the palm technique transforming from a simple Mortal Rank Technique to an Earth Grade Technique!
"M-master, is this enough for today… I-I don't think I can keep going for much longer…"
Bai Ning, who had no idea that his Mortal Rank Palm Technique had actually been transformed into a brand-new Earth Grade Palm Technique under his master's constant changes along the way, collapsed exhaustedly on the ground after close to two hours of practice.
"I guess that is fine, but we will continue where we left off tomorrow morning!"
Seeing the exhausted expression on Bai Ning's face, Xuan Hao reluctantly agreed to let him go. After all, he was still only in the Qi Condensation Realm and his endurance was not much different from a normal person. Not to mention he had been training a Qi Technique the entire time…
"Thank you master!"
Whoosh!
Not even waiting for his master to say anything more, Bai Ning sprung up from the ground before escaping into the pavilion only a short distance away from the training ground. Clearly not planning to give his master a chance to regret his descension of letting him go.
"Hah… This kid… Does he really think I would go back on my word and make him continue practicing the palm technique for another two hours?"
Muttering this to himself, as he shook his head with a small smile on his face, Xuan Hao could not help finding the figure of Bai Ning running away quite funny. Especially when thinking about the fact that he had supposedly collapsed exhaustedly on the ground just a short moment ago.
Well, what should I do now…? I probably won't be able to train Bai Ning any more today and it's a little late to start training now that it has already started growing dark…
Thinking this to himself as he looked out over the edge of the training ground down towards the busy elders and disciples still moving around in the sect below, Xuan Hao suddenly felt that the sect seemed way livelier since a year ago.
The main reason for this, was the fact that Elder Song had started putting both the elders and disciples to use over the past few months.
Using both parties to stabilize the Flying Sword Sect's territory and at the same time building up several new branches for the Flying Sword Sect all across the territory under them.
At this point, it would not be wrong to say that the strength of the Flying Sword Sect was rapidly expanding, as the north of what had once been the Heavenly Sky Kingdom completely came under the Flying Sword Sect's control.
Even the few strong sects still remaining inside this territory with a Nascent Soul Realm Expert or two to back them up pledged their allegiance to the Flying Sword Sect.
However, compared to the allegiance that they had pledged to the Heavenly Sky Kingdom in the past, they were way more genuine when it came to the Flying Sword Sect. The main reason for this, being the fact that the Flying Sword Sect now had someone in the Domain Lord backing them up!
After all, in the eyes of the surrounding powers. The strongest expert had only reached the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm, a Domain Lord was nothing short of a legendary existence in their eyes!
Submitting to a Sect with a Domain Lord protecting it, was not something shameful at all! Instead, it provided these sect's a lot of comfort in knowing that they were now under such a powerful sect.
This was not even mentioning the fact that there were quite a lot of rumours spreading around about the Flying Sword Sect and the Spring Flower Sect merging together in the future. Coupled with the rumours that the sect master of the Spring Flower Sect had also reached the Domain Lord Realm, it was easy to see this sect was inevitable!
Even Xuan Hao was quite surprised when he had heard the rumours about Shu Yao reaching the Domain Lord Realm, but had not yet gotten a chance to confirm the rumours yet…
Having one Domain Lord was more than enough to establish oneself as a known force inside the Sky Empire. Having two Domain Lords on the other hand, was enough to make even the powerful forces of the Sky Empire unwilling to act against them!
After all, the last thing one wanted, was to end up having a revengeful Domain Lord not caring about their reputation trying their best to inflict as much damage as possible to them…
Only the three great forces of the Sky Empire, the imperial family, the churches, and the large noble families, would have the ability to attack a power like that without a worry in the world… Of course, that was only a given if the Domain Lord's of the Flying Sword Sect were around the earlier stages of the realm…
Thinking about all of this just looking out over the sect and the busy elders and disciples below, Xuan Hao could not help smiling wryly to himself.
The main reason why he knew about all of this, was because of the book that Yi Min had given to him.
Inside the book, it very clearly warned him about not offending these three great powers of the Sky Empire, consisting of the imperial family, the large noble families, and the churches!
In the end, Xuan Hao had only felt himself growing more curious about these three great forces after reading about them, as the book didn't really mention anything about them outside of this…

Chapter 491: Rebellion
As the light from the stars covering the sky slowly began revealing themselves, Xuan Hao found a place to sit down as he gazed up at the stars above with a sense of wonder.
The stars were the same as the ones he had seen before transmigrating to this world, yet different at the same time. Faintly, he could feel some sort of power radiating from the stars above, but it was too faint for him to grasp it…
"Hah… No use thinking about it for now…"
Shaking his head a few minutes later, Xuan Hao found a place to sit down in a lotus position to cultivate through the rest of the night.
Focused on cultivating, the night passed by quickly, as the sun soon rose behind the mountains that surrounded the Flying Sword Sect.
Welcoming a new day that consisted of Xuan Hao once again training with Bai Ning. Increasing his proficiency over the Palm Technique. Following which the rest of the day was spent entertaining Song Jia, while she played around with the winged lion.
Oddly enough, the winged lion seemed to not fight back against Song Jia and had instead started to play along…
At one point, Xuan Hao had even watched the winged lion act cute in front of Song Jia… Something that prompted him to immediately check up on the winged lion, just to make sure that it hadn't accidently hit its head during the time that he wasn't watching…
The oddity of the winged lion aside, the next few days passed in similarly peaceful manner, with most of his time being spent either helping Bai Ning practice his Palm Technique and cultivate or play together with Song Jia and the winged lion.
"Thank you for looking after Song Jia during this time, Elder Xuan."
It was only when Elder Song arrived to pick up Song Jia after learning that she had been staying at his pavilion during the past few days, that Xuan Hao knew that these few peaceful days had come to an end…
"No worries… It was after all my fault that you ended up so busy over the past few days…"
"Wai- It was your fau-"
"See you next time Elder Song, you as well Song Jia!"
Escaping from the scene before Elder Song even had the time to start complaining, Xuan Hao informed Bai Ning that he would not have to come train his palm technique anymore.
However! He didn't have to look so happy running down the mountain towards the Blacksmithing Hall!
Thinking about this to himself as he checked up on Chu Yang and Qing Yi's situation one last time, Xuan Hao once again left the Flying Sword Sect, as he headed towards the Shattered Star Peaks to figure out if the feather imprint between his eyebrows could absorb the massive amount of blue divine energy present on the second peak.
Even if it ended up not working, he could still visit the blue dear on the main peak and explore it further than he had in the past. Now that his cultivation was stronger. Hopefully, he would not end up walking into another trapping formation this time around…
Whoosh~!
"Looks like master left again, I should also get ready to leave!"Immerse Yourself in the Storyverse: NvεlB¡n.
Shortly after Xuan Hao had left the Flying Sword Sect, Chu Yang came out from the pavilion and looked in the direction that his master had left with a determined look on his face.
Over the past few days, he had talked to his master about wanting to go out and explore the world and had ended up getting his approval in going out. The requirements his master set for him going out to explore, was that he couldn't leave the Flying Sword Sect, or the Spring Flower Sect's territory and he would have to always carry a communication talisman on him.
Something Chu Yang had happily agreed with. After all, the sheer size of the Flying Sword and Spring Flower Sects territory combined, was more than enough for someone in the Core Formation Realm to explore for the next hundred years and still only scratch the surface.
Not to mention the size of the two sect's territories, the number of sects, family clans and other powers present inside of them were simply endless in the eyes of a normal mortal.
Soon enough, Chu Yang followed in the footsteps of his master and left the Flying Sword Sect to explore the world by himself. This time around, he wasn't planning to return without properly exploring some of the many famous places spread out across the Flying Sword and Spring Flower Sect's territories!
He had even gone so far, as to take get his hand on a book roughly noting down the different famous places and their rough locations with his master's help!
The famous places he was thinking about, was not places like the Shattered Star Peaks. After all, mysterious places like that were incredibly rare and hard to find. To date, the Shattered Star Peaks could be considered to be one of a kind in terms of both danger and mysteriousness among the many nearby kingdoms…
Instead, the famous places that Chu Yang was thinking about, were the places that those people with a cultivation realm below the Nascent Soul Realm would go to and seek opportunities to breakthrough… Ancient Ruins, Sprit Valley, Large Demon Beast Forests filled with demon beasts at the Core Formation Realm and so on… These were the places that Chu Yang intended to visit during his time traveling around.
Hopefully, when he returned to the Flying Sword Sect in the future, he would have improved even further. Maybe even managing to reach the middle stages of the Core Formation Realm!
Whoosh!
Not delaying his leave for any longer, Chu Yang felt extremely excited about his upcoming adventures outside, as he quickly dashed down the mountain before leaving the Flying Sword Sect. Not forgetting to inform Zhi Ruo about him leaving.
Bai Ning and Qing Yi, were not really available… One locked in closed door cultivation, while the other had already left for the Blacksmithing Hall…
Along with Chu Yang leaving the Flying Sword Sect, both the master and the disciple left the Flying Sword Sect on the same day. Leaving behind only three people to watch over the large pavilion.
As for how Chu Yang was even going to find his way back to the sect after leaving... Well, his master didn't really think about that...
…
At the same time Xuan Hao and Chu Yang left the Flying Sword Sect, one to explore the world outside the sect, while the other wanted to absorb the blue divine energy on the second star peak, things in the Azure Sky Kingdom next door were starting to change…
"All praise be to the great lord of plagues! He who freed us from the sea of suffering inflicted upon us by the heretics!"
"Rot away the sinner's flesh! Make them suffer for the pain they inflicted upon us!"
"Let the land return to the bearer of plagues, the god who can cure all plagues, the supreme ruler of the great rot!"
The weird wording aside, a change was mildly speaking, as the people all over the Azure Sky Kingdom had started rebelling. All with the simple goal of replacing the current ruling class of the Azure Sky Kingdom, with the great church of the Plague God…
Of course, all of this would be laughable under normal circumstances. After all, what could a normal mortal ever hope to do in front of a cultivator?
However, this was not a normal circumstance, as the church of the plague god had sent a large number of priests/priestesses and high priests/priestesses to support the people rising up against the ruling class of the Azure Sky Kingdom.
With the support of these priests and priestesses, the ruling class of the Azure Sky Kingdom was easily fought back, as church after church was established inside the Azure Sky Kingdom with each city that fell to the growing rebellion!
Even weirder, was the fact that the current king of the Azure Sky Kingdom chose to completely ignore the matter of the church of the plague god beginning to take control of his kingdom.
The entire thing happened so quickly, that the surrounding kingdoms had no time to react before their way into the Azure Sky Kingdom had already been blocked off by the church of the plague god. Preventing them from interfering in the matter.
Not that they would really want to come in between the church of the plague god and the Azure Sky Kingdom in the first place… After all, no matter how weak the church of the plague god was in the eyes of the big churches of the Sky Empire, it was still a powerful force way beyond any of these small kingdoms.
Staying out of the way and informing the three big churches of the Sky Empire about this, was the only thing they could do with their limited power. At the very least, those three had more than enough strength to deal with the church of the plague god newest attempt on snaking their way into the Sky Empire…

Chapter 492: Changes to The Small Town at the Shattered Star Peaks
The news of the rebellion taking place inside of the Azure Sky Kingdom did not take long to reach the Flying Sword Sect and the surrounding sect's and kingdoms located close by, while slower than the kingdoms that had plans of invading the Azure Sky Kingdom, it was not by much.
However, this did not change the surprise felt by these kingdoms upon learning about the rebellion in the Azure Sky Kingdom.
In response to the sudden rebellion. These kingdoms prepared themselves in anticipation of the upcoming battle between the Sky Empires religions and the church of the plague god, that would inevitably end up taking place over the next few weeks.
Feng Chen also soon learned about the rebellion taking place inside the Azure Sky Kingdom located just next to them.
"If we could remain neutral, that would be for the best…"
Muttering this to himself as he informed both Shu Yao and Xuan Hao about the rebellion controlled by the church of the plague god taking place inside the Azure Sky Kingdom, Feng Chen finally managed to calm down after both Shu Yao and Xuan Hao told him that there was nothing to worry about and they could just follow the same direction as the nearby kingdoms of waiting on the side lines without doing anything.
In the first place, there was no reason for my Flying Sword Sect to involve itself in the struggle between the church of the plague god and the Azure Sky Kingdom. Let alone joining the upcoming battle between the Sky Empire's religions and the church of the plague god!
Thinking this to himself, Feng Chen felt himself relax as he resumed what he had been doing before getting the news about the Azure Sky Kingdom rebellion. Trying to rebuild his pavilion as quickly as possible…
…
After having left the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao had not expected that he would end up getting contacted by Feng Chen about the church of the plague god making a move to take control over the Azure Sky Kingdom.
Outside of reassuring Feng Chen that everything would be fine, Xuan Hao also felt himself grow curious about just what was happening inside the Azure Sky kingdom after learning that the church of the plague god had seemingly sealed off the entire kingdom from the outside world.
Trying to take control over the Azure Sky Kingdom was one thing… Why did they go to the effort of sealing off the Azure Sky Kingdom from the outside world?
Whoosh~
As the Shattered Star Peaks appeared in the distance, Xuan Hao was still thinking about the situation inside of the Azure Sky Kingdom.
Even if the outcome of what was happing in the Azure Sky Kingdom would not really have any effect on the Flying Sword Sect in the first place. Mainly because they had no trade agreements with the Azure Sky Kingdom, nor were they allied with them….
There was also a buffer territory in the form of what had once been the southern territory of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom between them.
To this day, the Flying Sword Sect had only taken control over a few important spirit stone mines and spirit herb valleys in this territory, as they had yet to truly begin integrating this territory. Not planning to do so before the new main sect had officially been established on the Shattered Star Peaks…
As a result, the southern territory had now fallen into a state of chaos without the presence of the Raging Flame Sect or the Heavenly Sky Kingdom.
All the Nascent Soul Realm Experts that had once been living in the southern territory, had already fled upon learning about the destruction of the Raging Flame Sect. Fearing that they might be next.
At the moment, the southern territory had become a haven for outlaws and the like. Only a few sects and clans with Peak Core Formation Realm Experts holding down the fort could barely remain stable in this chaotic environment.
Even in this state, it still served as a perfect buffer territory between the Flying Sword Sect and the Azure Sky Kingdom.
As long as the southern territory was there, the Flying Sword Sect did not really have to worry about the Azure Sky Kingdom before they took control over the southern territory in the future. However, the large churches of the Sky Empire should have taken care of the church of the plague god at that point in time…
Xuan Hao really didn't expect them to just watch as the church of the plague god took control of a kingdom inside the Sky Empire and began establishing a foothold there!
…
Still thinking about how thing would end up playing out, Xuan Hao arrived at the small town at the base of the Ninth Star Peak that he had visited in the past together with Chu Yang and Qing Yi. Back then, it was during that trip, that he had first met Chi Hu…
Recalling what had happened in the past upon seeing the town slowly appear in the distance, Xuan Hao no longer thought about what was happening in the Azure Sky Kingdom, as his divine sense spread out before covering the small town at the base of the Ninth Star Peak.
However, compared to the past, the town had experienced some very clear changes over the past year. Especially the Flying Sword Sect branch present inside the town.
Not only had the branch been expanded by several times since his last visit, but there were also more than five elders at the Peak of the Core Formation Realm present inside the branch itself!
The reason for their presence soon revealed itself in the form of a large quantity of both high-quality building materials and spirit stones.
"Looks like Elder Song already started getting ready to build up the new sect at one of the Shattered Star Peaks…"
Muttering this to himself as he felt amazed over the sheer quantity of spirit stones and high-quality building materials that Elder Song had brought over to be ready for when they were ready to build the new sect in the future, Xuan Hao quickly realized that other than the elders from his sect, there was also a group of five elders from the Spring Flower Sect present inside the town with a similar cultivation realm.
Similar to the five Peak Core Formation elders from his sect, the five elders from the Spring Flower Sect were also guarding a large quantity of building materials and spirit stones.
Not only that, but there was even a Nascent Soul Realm Expert hidden away on the Spring Flower Sect's side!
Seeing that the other side actually brought along a Nascent Soul Realm Expert to guard the place, Xuan Hao could not help smiling wryly.
Mainly because he was almost certain that the reason why the Spring Flower Sect had brought over a Nascent Soul Realm Expert most likely had something to do with Elder Song…
"Hah… Elder Song is indeed quite effective…"
In the future, the small town would surely develop into a large city, that would act as the Flying Sword Sect's connection to the outside world and a place for young talents hoping to join the Flying Sword Sect would be able to gather before the entrance examination. Most important of all, the city would be able to act as a place where both elders and disciples could come to have fun and relax…
Shaking his head as he thought about this, Xuan Hao hid his presence before making his way inside the small town that was slowly expanding in all directions.
Instead of heading directly for the Second Star Peak, he decided to take a closer look at the town and more importantly. Pay a visit to the Nascent Soul Realm Expert from the Spring Flower Sect. After all, the other party had come all the way to the Shattered Star Peaks just to stand guard…
….
"How in the world did I end up here of all places? Watching over building materials and spirit stones! Hah… It's all that sly old man from the Flying Sword Sect's fault!"
At the same time Xuan Hao made his way inside the city to check out the elder from the Spring Flower Sect. The elder in question lamented loudly to herself as she thought about how a certain old man had ended up getting her to protect the small town and the different building materials and spirit stones that both her and the Flying Sword Sect had moved there.Immerse Yourself in the Storyverse: NvεlB¡n.
"ARGH! Just thinking about it makes me angry! How could big sister Meng agree to the request of that old man in the first place!?"
As the Nascent Soul Realm Expert from the Spring Flower Sect continued to complain over a certain elder from the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao managed to overhear her talking to herself.
"…"
Maybe I should just get going… Staying here for any longer properly won't be a good idea…
Feeling that he already knew what elder the Nascent Soul Realm Expert from the Spring Flower Sect was talking about, Xuan Hao felt that it might not be a good idea to greet her right now and decided to just make his way up the Shattered Star Peaks for now…

Chapter 493: Work! Feather Imprint!
Having decided not to pay a visit to the Nascent Soul Realm Expert sent over by the Spring Flower Sect after seeing her rather… Interesting comments about how she had ended up in the small town, Xuan Hao quickly began making his way up the Ninth Star Peak of the Shattered Star Peaks without alerting any of the guards in front of the only path leading up the mountain.
The reason why he didn't just directly fly up to the Second Star Peak, was because he was quite curious about how thing had changed at the Shattered Star Peaks during the last year. Especially after he had informed Feng Chen about the Shattered Star Peaks being their future sect location…
At least from what he could see while making his way up the Ninth Star Peak, it seemed like there were way fewer people making their way up the mountain compared to when he had gone together with Qing Yi and Chu Yang in the past.
Not only that, but after arriving at the forest covered peak, there were even fewer cultivators present looking for the spiritual herbs that grew there, with the weakest of them having reached the Foundation Establishment Realm. Not a single person at the Qi Condensation Realm could be seen even after he scanned the entire Ninth Peak.
From the looks of it, Feng Chen had likely put some restrictions on the people who could enter the Shattered Star Peaks, though still not completely restricting it to others, that would most likely only happen after the construction of the Flying Sword Sect on top one of the Mountain Peaks began…Immerse Yourself in the Storyverse: NvεlB¡n.
The Shattered Star Peaks had quite a reputation even outside their territory, with the Third Star Peak being the most famous due to the many people going there to enter a life and death cultivation trying to reach the Nascent Soul Realm.
Closing such a place down, would surely incur a lot of anger from these Peak Core Formation Realm Experts with half a step into the grave that had come to seek an opportunity to reach the Nascent Soul Realm… Something Feng Chen really didn't want to experience…
With that in mind, it might be for the best if the Third Star Peak remained open to the public after the Flying Sword Sect had been constructed!
This way, the Flying Sword Sect could potentially recruit any new Nascent Soul Realm Expert that came out from there.
Even using it as a way to recruit Core Formation Realm Experts was not out of the way. After all, some of the Core Formation Realm Experts going to the Third Star Peak were just there to visit the place in case they would return there in the future when their lifespan was about to run out and they still hadn't reached the Nascent Soul Realm...
Overall, having the Third Star Peak open to the public was a good idea. However, in case they built the sect on the Ninth Star Peak, they would have to make another way into the Shattered Star Peaks going directly to the Third Star Peak.
After all, no matter what, they couldn't just have a bunch of unknown cultivators walk through their sect on a daily basis…
…
"Looks like the Third Star Peak in still filled up with people like last time…"
Muttering this to himself as he arrived at the Third Star Peak, Xuan Hao could not help sighing internally as he watched the hundreds of elderly people desperately clinging onto what little hope they had left of extending their lifespan and continuing their journey towards immortality.
From what Xuan Hao understood, it seemed like the people of the Ewaria Continent believed in one's soul reincarnating after death, something that did make some sense given the fact one could begin interacting with one's own soul from the Nascent Soul Realm.
Now, why did these old people fear death even when they believed in reincarnation after death?
Well… The reason why these old people feared death was simple, they were cultivators. People who essentially went against the heaven in an attempt to escape the cycle of reincarnation and obtain immortality.
Because they had essentially already gone against the cycle of reincarnation, they believed that heaven would no longer allow them to reincarnate after death…
However, all of this was not really something that could be confirmed and was merely based on speculations…
"Hm… I wonder how that friend of Chi Hu is doing, Zhu Lian was it? I don't think I saw her at the sect, I wonder if she is guarding one of the new branches…"
Remembering the old female friend of Chi Hu, who he had helped reach the Nascent Soul Realm on the Third Star Peak, Xuan Hao jumped into the air before heading towards the Second Peak lost in thought.
From him seeing her at the Third Star Peak and helping her reach the Nascent Soul Realm, to him leaving for the Main Peak back then, he had not even caught a single glimpse of Zhu Lian since then.
Not something too odd, as he had not really been much at the sect lately… Not to mention, Feng Chen could have assigned her to guard some place away from the sect after she had stayed for only a few days…
Whoosh~
Not thinking about Zhu Lian for too long, Xuan Hao increased his speed and at the same time made sure to protect himself from the chaotic qi with one of his domains. Not something nearly as difficult after his strength had increased.
Even flying that would consume all his strength in a short period of time before, had become easy! At least flying up to the Second Star Peak was not a challenge to him, things might be different if he tried flying up to the Main Peak…
…
"Hah… Looks like the feather imprint might not be able to absorb the blue divine energy on the Second Star Peak…"
Arriving at the Second Star Peak, Xuan Hao could not help letting out a sigh as he said this. The feather imprint had still not revealed itself like it had in the swamp of the Cloud Sky Kingdom.
However, Xuan Hao still felt reluctant about going back without at least trying, so after thinking about it for a short moment, he made his way towards the smallest rock of blue divine energy that he could find.
"Still as scary as before…"
Remembering what had happened when he had accidently picked up one of these small divine rocks, Xuan Hao could not help shivering. After all, he had almost died just from touching a rock back then!
If he really died touching a rock, it would be quite embarrassing…
For this reason, he did not dare picking up the small fist sized rock filled with blue divine energy in front of him. Instead, he tried to get as close as possible in an attempt to get a reaction from the feather imprint between his eyebrows.
Something less than enjoyable, as he felt his entire body freeze up the closer, he moved his head to the small rock on the ground. Even with his cultivation at the seventh stage of the Domain Lord Realm and his ice domain, he still had no way to resist this freezing cold invading his body the closer he got.
"S-so, c-cold…"
Not giving up as he moved close enough to almost touch the small rock on the ground with his head, Xuan Hao suddenly felt like he was thrown into a frozen hell, as he became unable to move any closer to the small rock without risking turning into an ice statue…
Remaining still just like that for a few minutes as he felt his dantian slowly empty out, Xuan Hao was about to give up, when the feather imprint between his eyebrows finally began showing signs of life again.
Fwoosh~
Lighting up like it had done back in the swamp of the Cloud Sky Kingdom, Xuan Hao felt a small stream of blue divine energy being sucked out of the small rock in front of him before entering the feather imprint between his eyebrows.
Different from the time in the swamp. Absorbing the small stream of blue divine energy from the rock had a completely different effect on the feather imprint, as an excruciating pain spread throughout his body with the feather imprint at the core of it, causing Xuan Hao to rapidly retreat from the small rock.
However, the stream of blue divine energy inside the rock had already been absorbed by the feather imprint and moving away did not stop the pain from spreading all over his body.
Barely able to stop himself from screaming out due to the sudden pain, Xuan Hao managed to stabilize himself as the pain wrecked through his body. At the very least, only his physical body was affected by the pain, his soul remained completely unaffected. Allowing him to think clearly.
Due to this, he could also clearly see the changes taking place in his physical body alongside the pain spreading through it.

Chapter 494: Meridians Change
The changes taking place inside of his physical body was not anything life changing that suddenly increased the strength of his physical body another level. Instead, it was a more subtle change that slightly changed the meridians in his body.
The change in his meridians not only allowed his qi to flow more smoothly, but also allowed him to absorb the qi between heaven and earth faster!
Other than these two things, Xuan Hao also felt like something else had fundamentally changed, but he couldn't really grasp what it was. Looking through the system to find out what had happened, didn't really yield any results either.
But similar to the last time the feather imprint had absorbed something, he had also felt like his understanding of the world around him had increased. In essence, his comprehension speed had once again increased after the feather imprint had absorbed the blue divine energy.N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapter's release on N0v3l--B1n.
Although, compared to the last time, it did not increase by a lot. The biggest change was still what had happened to the meridian inside his physical body.
"I wonder if I can absorb more of the blue divine energy…"
Muttering this to himself as the pain slowly began subsiding and the changes taking place inside his meridians stopped, Xuan Hao could not help thinking about what would happen if he managed to absorb even more of the blue divine energy.
Maybe an even more drastic change would take place-
Fwoosh!
Just as he was thinking about absorbing even more of the blue divine energy after the changes in his body finished, a sudden burning sensation appeared between his eyebrows as he felt the feather imprint suddenly appear. Looking like it was about to burst as tiny amounts of blue divine energy leaked out from it into the surrounding air. Instantly causing the surrounding temperature to fall rapidly, as the ground beneath his feet froze over.
The entire thing only lasted for a short moment, but it was more than enough time for Xuan Hao to understand that the feather imprint had most likely reached its limit for how much of the blue divine energy that it could absorb for now…
Even if this made him quite disappointed, there was nothing much he could do about it. After all, he didn't want to end up having the feather imprint absorb too much of the blue divine energy. Resulting in the feather imprint possibly exploding or beginning to leak the excess blue divine energy, both of which would possibly end up killing him!
Taking things slowly and returning to absorb more whenever the feather imprint had finished refining the blue divine energy that it had absorbed, was the best option in his mind.
Now… All that was left for him to do now, was find out how long it would take for the feather imprint to fully digest the blue divine energy that it had absorbed.
Thinking about this issue for a few seconds, Xuan Hao touched the place where the feather imprint between his eyebrows was located before trying to send a part of his divine sense inside it to investigate it. Something he had already tried a few times before to no avail.
"Hm?"
However, this time around the outcome was different!
While he could still not enter the space where the blue divine energy had disappeared to, he could feel the state of the feather imprint with his divine sense. Allowing him to realize just how close to bursting apart and killing him it currently was…
At the same time, he could also feel that the feather imprint was slowly refining the blue divine energy that it had absorbed.
Smiling unnervingly as he realized this, Xuan Hao didn't know if he should feel happy over having found a way to deduct when he could get the feather imprint to absorb more blue divine energy, or he should feel happy that he had not chosen a slightly larger rock filled with blue divine energy…
If he had really chosen a large rock…
Shaking his head at this thought, Xuan Hao decided not to think about it and instead thought about what to do next.
"Now that I'm already here, should I check out the other mountain peaks of the Shattered Star Peaks…?"
Saying this to himself as he gazed down towards the seven smaller mountain peaks below him, Xuan Hao realized that he had yet to actually decided on which of the Nine Star Peaks the future Flying Sword Sect should be built on top of…
The Second Star Peak was out of the question given the abundance of blue divine energy rocks on top of it and the Main Star Peak would also not be a good idea given the fact that there might be a lot of dangerous things hidden away up there like the trapping formation he had encountered on his first trip up there…
The Third Star Peak was also not an option. Mainly because its use, but also because it was way too small in Xuan Hao's opinion. Especially compared to the size of the Ninth Star Peak…
The Ninth Star Peak was a good place to build a sect, but Xuan Hao felt like it would be a waste to destroy the forest on top of it growing an abundance of spiritual herbs for this.
In the end, this left the Eighth to the Fourth Star Peak as a potential location of the future Flying Sword Sect!
All of these mountains had yet to be explored by most people due to their treacherous environments and the ever-present chaotic qi, with the few who had explored them only recounting how they found nothing of value there.
In the end, these mountains had never really gained as much interest as the Third- and Ninth-Star Peak over the years. Ending up being forgotten by most of the people who came to the Shattered Star Peaks.
Whoosh~
Not standing around to wait for long after the changes taking place inside his body had come to a stop, Xuan Hao jumped into the air before heading down towards the closest mountain. The Fourth Star Peak.

Chapter 495: Mountains of the Shattered Star Peaks
Easily making his way down the Second Star Peak, Xuan Hao soon found himself on top of the Fourth Star Peak. Different from the other mountains among the Shattered Star peaks that he had visited so far.
The Fourth Star Peak was covered in a special kind of alpine vegetation that had survived even under the chaotic qi that swirled around in the air. Even more bewildering to Xuan Hao, was the fact that the vegetation consisting of several small flowers and different types of grass and bushes absorbed the chaotic qi in the air. Allowing the top of the Fourth Star Peak to have around the same level of chaotic qi in the air as the top of the Ninth Star Peak!Discover, Devour, Delight: NvεlB¡n.
Just this alone was more than enough for Xuan Hao to grow interested as the plant life on top of the Fourth Star Peak seemed to have the same properties as the ones found on the Ninth Star Peak. The only difference being that there weren't any spiritual herbs present. Making it a far more ideal place to make the Flying Sword Sect in the future. At least when compared to the Ninth Star Peak…
Staying for some time to investigate the Fourth Star Peak without finding anything interesting outside the special plant life, Xuan Hao soon left and made his way down towards the Fifth Star Peak. For now, the Fourth Star Peak was the best location he had found so far, but it was also the first among the remaining mountains of the Shattered Star Peaks he had yet to explore.
Hopefully, the other mountains would be in a similar, if not better condition than the Fourth Star Peak. This would make it easy to expand in the future when the time came for them to fully settle the entire Shattered Star Peaks.
…
"Well… This was not what I expected…"
Arriving at the Fifth Star Peak, Xuan Hao could not help exclaiming in surprise upon witness the scene of the mountain top in front of him.
The reason for this, being that instead of a normal somewhat flat mountain top like the other mountains in the Shattered Star Peaks had, the Fifth Star Peak instead had a massive lake covering almost the entire mountain top, with some of the water cascading down the side of the mountain in the form of small waterfalls, that later formed into rivers going through the valley of the Shattered Star Peaks below.
Not only that, but the chaotic qi on top of the Fifth Star Peak was far more violent compared to any of the other mountains. Only being comparable to the chaotic qi on top of the Main Peak!
Even more baffling, was the fact that the chaotic qi seemed to calm down the farther away from the lake on top of the mountain it got...
"The lake on top of the Fifth Star Peak seems to agitate the chaotic qi around it…"
Muttering this to himself as he stated the obvious, Xuan Hao only casually investigated the lake with his divine sense before moving towards the Sixth Star Peak. No matter what, it would be quite hard to build the future Flying Sword Sect on top of a massive lake…
Investigating the lake on the Fifth Star Peak could always be done at some other time. For now, he wanted to investigate the other mountains and find out which one would be the most suitable to house the future Flying Sword Sect!
Whoosh~
Leaving the Fifth Star Peak, Xuan Hao went over the remaining three mountains inside the Shattered Star Peaks that he had yet to visit.
The Sixth Star Peak was filled with all sorts of small caves that covered both the top and sides of the mountain, it was also here that Xuan Hao saw the first demon beasts outside of the ones on the Main peak. The demon beasts were quite different from ordinary demon beasts, as they seemed to have adapted to the surrounding chaotic qi over time.
However, this came at the cost of their strength. Even the strongest among the demon beast had only reached the Qi Condensation Realm!
Building the future Flying Sword Sect on top of the Sixth Star Peak was doable, but it would require some effort, as the caves covering the mountain would have to be dealt with.
The Seventh Star Peak was similar to the Third Star Peak, completely barren without anything on top of it other than a few different rocks. The chaotic qi in the air was also nothing out of what Xuan Hao had expected. All in all, the Seventh Star Peak was a decent location to build up the new Flying Sword Sect in the future.
Even if the new Flying Sword Sect did not get build on top of the Seventh Star Peak, it could still be used for expanding the sect in the future without any issues when there were enough resources for a second Qi Gathering Formation or the original one could be expanded to encompass more than just a single mountain.
Finally, the Eighth Star Peak, the last among the mountains of the Shattered Star Peaks that Xuan Hao had left to visit.
The Eighth Star Peak was nothing like any of the other mountains before. Instead, a giant hole presented itself in place where the even mountain top should have been.
Looking closer, Xuan Hao discovered that the hole led all the way down to what should have been the middle part of the mountain. Here, a small valley had formed inside the hole. Even weirder, the valley had no chaotic qi inside of it. Instead, it was like a normal valley down on the ground!
As if that was not odd enough, Xuan Hao discovered a small town inside the valley after scanning the place with his divine sense.
Even weirder, the town was not a ruin like he had expected but was instead a town filled with living beings walking around and going about their day…
Not only that, but the living beings inside the town, were not humans…

Chapter 496: Unkown Race
Looking closer at the small humanoid creatures walking around inside the town below, Xuan Hao thought hard as he tried remembering what he could about the different races other than the human race present on the Ewaria Continent.
Sadly, none of them seemed to fit in with the race inside the small town below him.
Fitting in would properly not be the correct word, as Xuan Hao didn't really have much knowledge about any other races than the human race. The 'other' races that he knew about, were demon beasts who had taken human form and nature spirit who had also take a human form.
None of which the small race of humanoid creatures below him was a part of…
Feeling even more curious about the small town below after realizing that he had no idea what race the humanoid creatures belonged to, Xuan Hao didn't stand around for long, as he hid himself before flying down towards the small town.
Hoping that he would be able to learn something from the small humanoid creatures… At least, if they spoke the same language as him, that was…
Entering the small valley located inside the mountain, Xuan Hao could not help breathing a sigh of relief upon discovering that the small humanoid creatures talked the same language as him.
At the same time, he also managed to get a closer look of the small humanoid creatures.
Sharing clear traits with humans, the small creatures looked almost similar to humans. However, their height was no more than half a meter to a meter in total. The tallest Xuan Hao had spotted, was only a little taller than a meter…
Inspecting these tiny humans so to be speak, Xuan Hao could not help feeling surprised at their strength. Even the weakest among them had reached the Foundation Establishment Realm, while the strongest among them had already reached the Nascent Soul Realm! There was even one among them that was at the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm!
From this alone, Xuan Hao quickly realized that the small race had an innately good talent when it came to cultivation compared to humans…Discover, Devour, Delight: NvεlB¡n.
The other interesting thing about this small race, was the fact that they had not left the small valley. After all, given their strength, they should have easily been able to do so!
"Let's go! We have to be ready! The grand ceremony will take place in only a few hours' time!"
"I know, I know! No need to hurry me, we still have a few hours!"
"Come on! You know that-"
Listening to the conversations between the small people inside the town, Xuan Hao understood that some important ceremony was going to take place when the sun went down.
The people inside the town didn't really talk about what the ceremony was about, outside of mentioning that a new leader would be chosen during this grand ceremony. So, even if he was curious, Xuan Hao could only wait for this ceremony to find out what it was about.
After all, he had no plan to reveal himself to this race of small people yet, he still needed to understand why they here and why they had remained hidden inside the valley even with their current strength being comparable to a small kingdom!
Following behind a group of the small humanoid creatures as they made their way out of the town towards the place where the ceremony would take place, Xuan Hao could not help frowning before coming to an erupt stop.
Not moving a single step closer to the small temple of where the ritual of these small creatures would take place.
The temple was elegant and well decorated with all sorts of mystical creatures being carved into it's walls and ceiling. Giving the small temple a majestic feeling for those who laid their eyes upon it.
Well… The temple itself was small by his standards, but in the eyes of these small creatures, it should be an enormous temple. Covering what would approximately be comparable to half of their small town…
The reason why he had come to a stop, was because he had not seen the temple at all when scanning the area with his divine sense. Only seeing it first hand with his own eyes did he realize it was there!
For it to avoid his divine sense… Xuan Hao didn't dare be the slightest bit careless in front of this temple belonging to an unknown race…
Whoosh~
Landing on the ground a short distance away from the temple of the unknown race of small humanoid creatures, Xuan Hao slowly made his way towards the temple. Making sure both of his domains were ready in case he was attacked.
"Today's grand ceremony is going to be amazing!"
"Yes! I'm really excited, this is my first ceremony!"
"Haha, I also remember how excited I was back during the first time I participated in the grand ceremony."
As the small humanoid figures walked past him without even realizing he was there, Xuan Hao could not help listening in on their conversations. Quickly coming to understand that the grand ceremony was not only a way for them to choose a future leader for their small town, but also a coming of age for their younger generation.
The more Xuan Hao learned about this ceremony sneaking his way towards their temple, the more curious he grew about it.
If not for the fact that the small temple had blocked his divine sense from entering, he would have long since scanned the entire temple to find out what the grand ceremony was all about…
…
Arriving in front of the small temple after sneaking his way to one of the larger entrances, Xuan Hao could not help showing a surprised expression on his face.
"Something is preventing me from entering the temple…?"
Indeed, upon making his way to the temple of the small humanoid race, Xuan Hao found himself unable to enter the small temple.
Not only that, but after using a good part of his strength to launch a small hidden attack in an attempt to forcibly break through this barrier, Xuan Hao came to realize that the barrier of sorts that surrounded the temple preventing him from entering was far stronger than he had expected.
Even with his small attack containing more than enough strength to kill someone at the early stages of the Domain Lord Realm, it did not show the slightest sign of having been attacked, a testament to the strength of the barrier covering the small temple.
"How in the world-"
Not knowing what to say when faced with such a strong barrier all of a sudden, Xuan Hao could not help wondering just where it had come from. After all, the strongest person inside the small town had at most reached the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm, there was no way someone in the Nascent Soul Realm could set up such a strong barrier!
For someone to set up such a strong barrier that prevented him from entering… The person who set it up, would at the very least have to be stronger than him by a few times…
"Hm?"
About to turn around and return to the small town to see if he could find out more about the temple and possibly about the barrier covering the temple, Xuan Hao suddenly felt the feather imprint between his eyebrows show signs of life again, as it shone with a gentle blue light on the barrier of the small temple.
Fwoosh~
Following the gentle blue light landing on the barrier of the small temple, the barrier seemed to struggle for a short moment before quickly retreating and opening a path up for him.
"This-"
Feeling the barrier retreat and allow a way for him to enter, Xuan Hao could not help exclaiming in surprise as he realized what had just happened.
The feather imprint… How was it connected to the small temple of this unknown race inside the Shattered Star Peaks…?
Not able to answer this question, Xuan Hao could only wonder just how the two were related to one another before he entered the small temple.
No matter what, there was no way that he would give up the opportunity to enter the small temple of the unknown race now that the feather imprint between his eyebrows had helped him get through the barrier.
Not only did he want to find out about the grand ceremony of this unknown race, but now he also wanted to find out how the temple was related to the feather imprint!
Maybe, he would even have a chance at finding out what the unknown race was called… Calling them small humanoid creatures all the time did not really seem that fitting. Especially given the fact that they just looked like smaller humans…
Whoosh~
With this in mind and wanting to know more about the unknown race, Xuan Hao quickly entered the small temple…

Chapter 497: Discovered!
The inside of the small temple belonging to the unknown race, was not much different from what he had expected.
Exquisitely decorated like the outside of the temple, several mythical beasts, and other exotic creatures that he had never seen before were carefully engraved into the walls along the path he walked through the temple.
To be honest, Xuan Hao felt quite graceful for the fact that the temple was tall enough that he could walk through it normally. Saving him from having to crouch down as he made his way through it…
"This should be the place where the grand ceremony is going to take place!"
Coming to a large open hall at the centre of the temple, Xuan Hao noticed that most of the people from the unknown race had gathered together inside the hall. The hall was well decorated with all sorts of different murals depicting epic battles of ages long past. Among which, the centre piece of which was an all too familiar phoenix.
Seeing the phoenix taking up most of the large hall's ceiling, Xuan Hao could not help wondering just why the phoenix had appeared here of all places, but his thought process was cut short as an elderly person only a little over half a meter tall made his way into the hall followed by several other elderly people closely following behind him.
"The Peak Nascent Soul Realm Expert…"
Noticing this small elderly man, Xuan Hao narrowed his eyes as he focused his full attention on him and the people neatly walking behind him. All of which had reached the Nascent Soul Realm!
"The grand elder and the elders are here!"
"Do you think something happened? The grand ceremony is not supposed to start yet…"
Listening to the surrounding people who had gathered early inside the hall, Xuan Hao realized that the group of elders showing up was not something normal.
Thus, the question became, why had the group of elders showed up all of a sudden…?
Wondering this, Xuan Hao made sure that he was properly hidden with his domain before finding a place to observe the grand elder and elders following behind him.
…
"Hm? Someone triggered the barrier?!"
A little earlier when Xuan Hao had first made contact with the barrier around the temple, the grand elder of the small town abruptly opened his eye before jumping up and staring towards the direction of the temple in the distance with a surprised expression on his face.
"No! I have to find out what caused the barrier to trigger all of a sudden! Hopefully, it's just another demon beast that managed to stumble its way inside again…"
Not standing around doing nothing, the grand elder quickly contacted the other elders of the town before quickly making his way towards the temple. Not bothering to waste any time explaining things to the other elders, as it would waste time.
The other elders also seemed to understand that something was wrong, as they silently followed after the grand elder. Slowly starting to show a look of understanding upon realizing that they were moving towards the temple just outside the town.
Even if it turned out to just be another demon beast that had bumped into the barrier around the temple, they could never be too careful. After all, the temples importance was far too much and involved their town's continued existence!
The grand elder and the other elders understood this and therefore didn't waste any time upon reaching the temple. Quickly searching the area around the temple to see if there was any demon beast nearby that had caused the barrier to activate by bumping into it.
However, with the search ending up not finding any demon beasts. The faces of the grand elder and the other elders grew solemn.
"Grand elder, there are no demon beasts in the area around the temple… Do you think that-"
"Yes… It looks like an outsider might have entered the temple…!"
Hearing the words spoken by the grand elder, the rest of the elders present around him all showed a similarly shocked expression on their faces as some even gasped audibly.
"Wha-"
"An outsider!?"
"Impossible! How long has it been since the last outsider visited?!"
"We have to fine the outsider!"
Even with the group of elders shocked exclamations, the grand elder remained quiet as he looked towards the temple deep in thought.
"Grand elder-"
As one of the younger elders coming up to ask for his help in calming down the elders, the grand elder suddenly moved towards the temple. Not caring the slightest bit about the restless and panicking elders behind him as he made his way inside the temple.
"The barrier of the temple was not broken. From this, we can tell that the outsider is most likely not an enemy of ours!"
Along with these words, the grand elders figure slowly disappeared inside the temple.
"Not an enemy…?"
"Wai- Grand elder!"
Hearing what the grand elder said, the other elders quickly calmed down before realizing that the grand elder had already left them behind, as he made his way inside the temple in search of the outsider.
Whoosh~!
Not daring to wait around outside the temple, the other elders quickly rushed into the temple.
…
Still hiding in a corner of the hall that the people from the unknown race had gathered, Xuan Hao could not help tilting his head slightly to the side as he observed the group of elders suddenly spread out before they could be seen running down the different hallways leading into the hall that they were currently located.
Perhaps… Are they looking for me…?
Thinking about this, Xuan Hao could not help frowning to himself. How on earth had they managed to find out that he had entered the temple?!Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
"Maybe when I first touched the barrier."
Muttering this to himself with a look of understanding as his domain stopped his voice from leaking out into the surroundings, Xuan Hao could not stop himself from feeling even more curious about the race of small people.
After all, for someone to feel a change in the barrier, they would have to be in control of it to some extent!
…
"Maybe I should just reveal myself…"
Watching the elders send away the people who had come for the grand ceremony before searching the temple for at least half an hour without showing any sign of stopping, Xuan Hao could only shake his head after realizing that he would not be able to see the grand ceremony.
Not to mention the grand ceremony, he would most likely not be able to gain any useful information observing them now that they realized that someone might be watching them from the shadows.
Other than that, Xuan Hao didn't really plan to spend the next few weeks observing them…
Whoosh~
"Who- o-outsider!?"
"Protect the grand elder!"
"Argh- S-so strong…"
Revealing himself as he appeared in front of the grand elder still standing at the centre of the hall deep in thought, Xuan Hao didn't bother hiding his cultivation realm, as a few of the weaker elders collapsed on the ground under the sheer pressure brought along by his two domains covering the entire hall the moment he revealed himself.
After all, while he had decided to reveal himself, Xuan Hao did not plan to hide his cultivation and appear weak in front of the other party. Not to mention, he would easily be able to kill any of them if they tried something when they were already inside of his domain.
"O-outsider of the human race… I wonder for what reason have you come to our little town…"
Still standing tall under the pressure brought along by his two domains, the grand elder showed a dignified expression as he asked this. However, a tinge of fear could still be seen on his face when he looked over towards Xuan Hao. After all, the other party was someone in the Domain Lord Realm! Killing a Nascent Soul Realm Expert like him would be as easy as squashing a random bug by the side of the road!
Even if the ancient texts said only an ally can safely enter the temple. How could I possibly believe it so easily?!
Thinking this to himself as he looked over towards Xuan Hao waiting for an answer, the grand elder prepared to activate a small runic talisman that he grasped tightly in the palm of his hand. Something that didn't escape the eyes of Xuan Hao, as his ice domain had already secretly covered the runic talisman. Ready to freeze it along with the grand elder's hand in case he tried anything.
"No real reason, I was just traveling around the area and happened upon your little town. Growing curious, I decided to investigate the area."
Saying this, Xuan Hao smiled kindly towards the grand elder before releasing the pressure brought along by his two domains. Allowing the elders and grand elder to breath a sigh of relief, as they could finally move their bodies again.
Feeling that the other party did not have any hostile intentions towards him and his people after hearing his words along with the pressure on him and the others lifting, the grand elder breathed out a sigh of relief.
"I see… Is there perhaps anything we can help with? I'm more than willing to answer any question you have…"

Chapter 498: Half Spirit RaceImmerse Yourself in the Storyverse: NvεlB¡n.
"Is there perhaps anything we can help with? I'm more than willing to answer any question you have…"
Hearing the grand elder's question along with feeling his grip on the hidden runic talisman loosen, Xuan Hao breathed out a sigh of relief. For now, it looked like he had avoided fighting with this not so tall unknown race.
"Actually, I was quite curious about what race you are from…" Not planning to hold back his questions, Xuan Hao decided to ask the question that he had been most curious about since discovering the small town and the unknown race of people inside of it.
"Our race…? To be honest, we don't really know much about it ourselves… All we know is that we are the descendants from a nature spirit and a human, we don't know much else. From most of our ancient records, it seems that most of them refer to our race as the half spirit race."
"Half spirit?"
"Yes… As you can see, we are of a quite short stature compared to you humans. The reason for this is due to our connection with the nature spirits of old!"
"Were the nature spirits perhaps really short…?"
"No, they were actually quite tall. Even their human forms often reached two meters of height, some even standing over three meters tall!"
Then how on earth are they related to the fact that you have such a short stature!?
Not saying out loud what he was thinking after listening to the grand elder's explanation of their ancestors, Xuan Hao decided to leave the question of why the half spirit race was so short for another time and instead focus on some more important questions for now.
"Actually, some among our people are doubting that we are even related to the nature spirits of the world. After all, nature spirits are quite well known for their ability to control the elements of nature, yet we have no one who ca-"
"Don't worry too much about it, I think the reason why no one has awakened their abilities yet is just because their cultivation realm is too low. Don't forget how strong nature spirit are! Not something anyone at the Nascent Soul Realm could ever compare with!"
Not knowing anything about nature spirit as he said this, Xuan Hao had hoped to end the conversation and get on to the next question, but-
"That… That is indeed true! Everyone in the town always remained stuck at the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm without being able to take the next step forward… perhaps this is related to us needing to awaken our nature spirit bloodline and-"
Listening to the old grand elder continue on talking with an excited expression on his face like they were old friends, Xuan Hao could not help frowning. The grand elder had really gotten comfortable with him quickly...
Even worse, the other elders had also overcome their earlier fear of him, as they joined in on the conversation.
All of a sudden, the entire thing had developed into a conversation about how they should go about awakening the nature spirit part of their bloodline… While interesting to a certain extent, Xuan Hao honestly didn't really care about it that much. Finding out about the temple and the giant phoenix mural located above him was far more important!
However, looking at the faces of the group of elders from the half spirit race, Xuan Hao could not bring himself to interrupt them.
Ah… Who cares! At most I will have to wait for a few minutes until they calm down again, there is also their grand ceremony that is supposed to take place soon!
With this in mind, Xuan Hao decided to wait. Believing that there was no way they would just ignore him and continue their conversation for too long…
Something that he soon came to regret, as they didn't plan to stop any time soon. Even worse, they were more than happy to include him in their conversation. Asking if he had any idea on how to awaken their bloodline.
…
In the end, they had talked for over an hour before this had happened… Something Xuan Hao had thought impossible given the fact that they had pretty much repeated the same things over and over again. Making no progress towards finding an answer to how they could awaken their nature spirit bloodline, yet remaining as excited about it as they had been when they started…
Having finally had enough listening to them talking about their "awakening", Xuan Hao had forcibly interrupted the group of half spirit elders filled with way too much energy.
"Now that you are done talking about your ideas on how to awaken your nature spirit bloodline, we can continue our earlier conversation. Right?"
"Yes!"
"Great! Now, the next question I wanted to ask was related to the temple we are inside of. Do you perhaps have any idea about its origin?"
Releasing the pressure of his domain that he had used to interrupt these half spirit elders conversation after hearing the grand elder's quick response, Xuan Hao let out a sigh of relief before asking the second and last question he had for the grand elder.
Outside of their race and the temple, Xuan Hao wasn't really too interested in anything else.
The story of how the half spirit race ended up inside the valley and why they hadn't left yet, was not really that interesting to him after remembering what had happened just seconds ago when he had just asked about their race…
"The origin of the temple?!"
"Yes, I was wondering if you had any clue about it. After all, it seems like your race have been in control of this temple for quite some time."
Seeing the shocked expression that appeared on the grand elder's face after hearing his question, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit excited thinking that he would finally find out just who the temple belonged to in the past.
Maybe even getting a chance to find out something related to the phoenix and the epic battles taking place on the murals covering the walls of the temple hall that he was currently inside of.
"Hm… The temple has always been here, so I can't say anything for sure, but…"
"But?"
"But we do have quite a few intact records from before we took control of the temple, you are more than welcome to check them out if you are interested in finding out more about the temple. For us, we just use the temple as a gathering place most of the time. Using it for things such as the-
Ah! We completely forgot about the grand ceremony that was going to take place today!"
Ignoring the panicking voice from the grand elder after he remembered the fact that a grand ceremony was going to take place today, Xuan Hao instead focused on the first part of what he said.
They still had some surviving records from the time before they took control over the temple!
From what he had come to understand, the town had been around for at least a few thousand years, so the time from before they took control over the temple was likely going to be when the original owners had still been in control!
"Where can I find these ancient records?"
"Ah? Just follow the hallway over there until you reach a spiral staircase leading down. Go down and you will find the record hall! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to prepare for the grand ceremony!"
Pointing him towards a nearby hallway, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit bewildered at this grand elder's behaviour. At first, he had been cautious and careful with him, yet now, he was treating him like an old friend. Not worrying about him doing anything bad...
The entire thing was quite an interesting experience. Especially given the fact that the rest of the elders standing around still glanced over towards him cautiously from time to time, as they made sure to keep their distance.
Hah… There is no use thinking about that now. The most important thing should be to check out the ancient records stored here!
Shaking his head as he threw his thoughts about the grand elder's weird behaviour to the side for later when he had finished going through the ancient records of the temple, Xuan Hao made his way down the hallway that the grand elder had pointed him towards.
Not forgetting to use both his domains to protect himself, just in case the grand elder of the half spirit race decided to send him into some sort of trap. After all, no matter how well he treated him, Xuan Hao would never believe a hundred percent of what a stranger he had gotten to know for only a little over an hour…
Even less so when the other party belonged to a race that had decided to remain hidden inside a small valley for what had essentially been thousands of years!

Chapter 499: Ancient Record Hall
Pushing open the door leading down into the underground section of the temple, Xuan Hao was taken aback by the cloud of dust that suddenly greeted him the moment the door opened up.
From the amount of dust that greeted him, Xuan Hao could easily tell that it had been a long time since anyone had been down there. From the looks of it, the grand elder might not have visited the ancient records stored away beneath the temple.
The reason for the grand elder not doing so, was likely because he and the rest of the elders from his race saw no use in them going down there to check out the ancient records. After all, there was a high chance that other elders before them had already gone over the records below the temple.
At that point, they would have already taken everything of use out of the ancient record hall. Only leaving behind what they had inevitably deemed as something useless…
Scanning the entire underground hall with his divine sense, Xuan Hao breathed out a sigh of relief discovering that there were no hidden traps and there were indeed some still intact records present in the ancient record hall!
Whoosh~
Not wasting any time after discovering this, Xuan Hao directly moved towards the closet shelf that had an intact record scroll on top of it before carefully picking it up.
"At least the written language is still the same… Although there are a few differences, but they shouldn't be too hard to decipher with a bit of time!"
Smiling happily to himself as he read through the ancient record, Xuan Hao could not help growing excited after realizing that the ancient record in his hands was not only fully intact, but also in the common language on the Ewaria Continent.
For the first time since discovering something similar to the temple he was currently below, Xuan Hao would finally be able to get some insight into the era that the temple was constructed in!
Filled with excitement at this thought, Xuan Hao began reading through the ancient scroll held firmly in his hands.
The content of the ancient scroll was not something Xuan Hao had expected, as it didn't mention anything regarding the temple itself, but was instead some kind of ancient record about the people who had visited the temple in the past.
"Grandmaster of the Forsaken Well, Revered Thousand Doves, Master Shoeless, Dao Mistress Bloodless…"
Reading through the many unique names written down in the ancient record, Xuan Hao could not help wondering just how they had managed to come up with so many interesting Daoist names for themselves…
However, even if there was nothing more than their name and short description beneath each of these people's names, Xuan Hao understood that each of them should have been an expert during their time.
How strong they truly were, was still a complete mystery, but he did get some clues that they should at the very least be experts of the Soul Ascension Realm, if not stronger. From the short description written beneath each of their names.
The most unique of which was Master Shoeless, a spiritual tree that had apparently gained sentience at some point before cultivating and becoming strong enough to take on a human form.
Even if he did not gain any of the information he wanted from the ancient scroll, there was still more scrolls left inside the ancient record hall and to be honest, Xuan Hao was more than fine just getting an insight into the experts that had been around during the era that the temple was from.
However, Xuan Hao was far from done checking out the ancient records kept in the record hall below the temple, as he directly made his way over to the next intact ancient record scroll before quietly reading through it.
…
At the same time that his master was reading through the ancient record scrolls of the temple under the control of the Half Spirit race, Chu Yang had just started his journey and was looking around himself with a confused expression on his face. Not willing to admit that he had already gotten lost before he could even reach his first destination…
"I should not be too far away from the Shattered Star Peak if I'm not wrong… But why can't I see it?"
Muttering this to himself as he walked up a nearby hill to get a better grasp over where he was, Chu Yang could only frown after not discovering the Shattered Star Peak in the distance.
The reason why he had even chosen to go to the Shattered Star Peak, was because it was located just next to a relatively famous demon beast forest inside the Flying Sword Sect's territory.
Inside the demon beast forest, there were a lot of opportunities for people in the Core Formation Realm like himself and at the same time, there were also a lot of demon beast at the Core Formation Realm!
The demon beast forest had mostly been under the Flying Sword Sect's control and was at the same time also the place the beast tamers would go to choose new demon beasts for the Flying Sword Sect.
For this reason, Chu Yang had decided to visit this demon beast forest first before making his way towards some of the other famous locations inside the Flying Sword Sect's territory.
At least… That had been his plan…
"I should go to the village over there and see if I can find out where I am…"
Whoosh!
Spotting what he expected to be small village in the distance from the hilltop hidden inside a small valley through a few distinct clouds of black smoke rising into the air from the valley, Chu Yang quickly made his way towards the village in the distance. Even if he had… Taken a slightly different route than he had originally planned, he should not be too far off his original route.
Asking the local village for directions should be more than enough to help him find out where to go to reach the Shattered Star Peak before making his way to the demon beast forest!
…
"Fight back! We can't-"
Ching~!
"Ah! Brother! No!"
However, things did not go as expected. The black clouds of smoke did indeed belong to a village. The only problem was the fact that the village in question, was currently in the process of being burned down by a group of bandits.Immerse Yourself in the Storyverse: NvεlB¡n.
When he arrived, the last few among the villagers mostly consisting of the elderly and children were left behind.
Standing in front of this group protecting them from the large group of bandits that had invaded their village, was what remained of the small villages fighting force.
The fighting force consisted of both the villages young men and woman, with only a few middle-aged men and woman remaining. All of them wounded to some degree.
The strongest among the villagers was only at the Seventh Stage of the Qi Condensation Realm, while the strongest bandit had already reached the Foundation Establishment Realm! Not only that, but there was also more than one person at the Foundation Establishment Realm among the bandits!
Looking over the fighting force of the small village and the bandits, Chu Yang could not help frowning as he sensed just how big the difference between the two groups were.
The bandits could obviously deal with the group of villagers easily, yet they were smiling sinisterly as they played with the last remaining villagers struggling to fight back!
Things really are still quite chaotic. No wonder Elder Song is constantly asking for help to deal with bandits roaming around terrorizing merchants and villagers alike!
Thinking this to himself, Chu Yang could not help remembering how Elder Song had worked hard over the past few months to get every available disciple to help cleaning up the territory of the Flying Sword Sect…
Deciding to help the group of villagers now that he was here, Chu Yang unfastened the spear he had been carrying on his back before thrusting it forward towards the strongest person among the bandits.
A relatively older man who was currently showing a lewd smile as he greedily gazed towards a few younger women among the villagers.
Whoosh~!
Ptch!
Before the bandit even had any time to react, Chu Yang's spear had already pierced through his head. Killing him on the spot!
"Wha-!?"
"B-BOSS!!!"
Swish~
Not waiting around after having killed the leader of the bandits, Chu Yang's spear moved towards the next bandit. Another person at the Foundation Establishment Realm that had been standing just next to the bandit leader.
"No-"
Only after all the Foundation Establishment Bandits had died, did the rest of the bandits manage to register what had just happened, as they scattered in all directions. However, they were only in the Qi Condensation Realm. How could they possibly run away from Chu Yang, who had reached the Core Formation Realm?
"R-run- Agh!"
"D-demon! A demon has appeared!"
Swish~!
Soon enough, the escaping bandits were cut down in a short period of time under the bewildered eyes of the remaining villagers…

Chapter 500: Ancient Scrolls
"Hm?"
Turning towards the still bewildered group of villagers that had yet to comprehend what had just happened, Chu Yang smiled wryly as he realized that a few of the weaker villagers had ended up fainting during his early display. A few of the quick mothers among the villages had also managed to cover the eyes of their children. Preventing them from seeing the massacre of the bandits.
"…"
Seeing this situation, Chu Yang had no idea what to do. This was the first time he had ever ended up in such a situation. The villagers just standing there staring at him without saying anything also didn't help break the awkward silence that had suddenly descended after the last bandit's death.
Wanting to end the awkward silence by saying something, Chu Yang was a step too slow, as a young woman at the early stages of the Qi Condensation Realm from the village's last bit of fighting force stepped forward.
"T-thank you for your h-help, n-noble lord! I-is there perhaps anything w-we can help with…?"
Hearing how nervous she was when thanking and asking him, Chu Yang could not help letting out a small sigh internally.
Was he really that scary? Well, he did just kill off the group of bandits that they had been hopelessly struggling against…
"Actually, there is something I could use your help with-"
About to answer the young woman's question, Chu Yang could not help frowning upon suddenly noticing a change in the way that the villagers was looking at him.
"I want to know if you have any idea about the direction of the Shattered Star Peaks, a small mountain range consisting of nine really tall mountains."
Finishing his sentence before some of the villagers ended up saying something, Chu Yang watched as a few of them blushed a bit in embarrassment upon realizing that they had misunderstood what he wanted to ask for…
These people…
Not knowing what to say when he discovered this, Chu Yang decided to pretend he didn't notice anything, as he kept his gaze focused on the young woman who had been the only person brave enough to step forward and talk to him so far.
"The Shattered Star Peaks…? The one where the peaks of the mountains were cut-"
"Yes! Do you perhaps have any idea what direction it's located!?"Immerse Yourself in the Storyverse: NvεlB¡n.
Not paying too much attention to the fact that the young woman had calmed down enough to talk normally already, Chu Yang was excited after realizing that the young woman. Even to the point that he had interrupted her before she had finished speaking.
"Y-yes, the Shattered Star Peaks should be located in that direction."
Stuttering a bit out of surprise at Chu Yang's sudden excitement, the woman from the village answered quickly before pointing in the direction that Chu Yang had just come from.
"…"
Discovering the direction that the young woman was pointing in, Chu Yang suddenly felt his expression darken.
He did not believe that the young woman would lie to him. Especially given the fact that he had just saved her and her village, but… He really didn't want to admit that he had ended up walking in the opposite direction of the Shattered Star Peaks…
"Are you sure that is the direction of the Shattered Star Peaks!?"
"Yes…?"
Not understanding why Chu Yang had suddenly asked her this with an extremely serious expression on his face, the young woman answered almost absentmindedly due to being caught off-guard by Chu Yang's sudden question.
"Hah… Looks like I have to backtrack…"
Letting out a reluctant sigh, as he muttered this to himself, Chu Yang shook his head before putting away his spear. Preparing to leave the village now that he had found out that he was still far away from the Shattered Star Peaks.
"Um! C-can I ask where t-the noble lord is from…?"
Seeing the young woman suddenly move towards him before he left, Chu Yang decided to answer her honestly. In the first place, it would be a good way to help increase the Flying Sword Sect's reputation. Even if just a little…
"I'm from the Flying Sword Sect!"
Whoosh~!
Along with these words, Chu Yang left the small village without looking back. Hopefully heading in the correction direction this time around.
…
Back at the ancient record hall below the temple of the Half Spirit race, Xuan Hao had already grown tired looking through the ancient scrolls that only turned out to be name lists of past visitors!
To be honest, he had even started giving up hope of finding something that wasn't a name list of past experts who had visited the temple during its peak. However, he did not plan to leave the ancient record hall before he had read through every single intact scroll present there.
"Hm?"
Picking up another ancient scroll thinking that it would turn out to be a name list like the rest of the ancient scrolls he had read so far, Xuan Hao was taken aback upon realizing that it was something completely different!
"First flight…?"
Reading the barely readable title on top of the worn-down scroll with interest, Xuan Hao slowly began reading through the scroll with much difficulty.
The words written down on the worn-out scroll told a short story, a story about a small blue bird that had been struggling to fly. After struggling for some time trying to learn on its own, it soon met with a kind wind spirit.
The wind spirit saw the small blue bird struggling so hard and decided to lend it a hand. Spending the next few days teaching the small bird how to fly by harnessing the power of the wind.
After learning how to harness the power of the wind over only a few days, the small blue bird could fly into the sky. Parting ways with the kind wind spirit as it flew high above the ground.
The rest of the story was completely unreadable. In the end, only a little below half of the story was readable.
The story written down on the barely intact scroll was not something Xuan Hao had expected. At first glance, it seemed like children's story of some sort. However, looking closer, Xuan Hao could not help frowning, as he discovered that the first half of the story was essentially made in a way to allow the reader to more easily comprehend the dao of wind!
Even he felt his close to negligible comprehension of the dao of wind increase slightly after only reading through the story once…
Very clearly, the story was a priceless treasure that could help when comprehending the dao of wind.
Thinking this far, Xuan Hao quickly put away the worn-down ancient scroll before resuming his search of the ancient record hall.
Rustle~
"Wind, Fire and Wood…"
Having finished his search through the entire ancient record hall, Xuan Hao smiled to himself as he looked over three small worn-down scrolls in front of him.
Other than the story of the bird that allowed one to more easily comprehend the dao of wind, he had found two more similar stories. One for the Dao of Fire and one for the Dao of Wood!
Even if he had not gained any more information about the ancient era that the temple was from. At least he managed to obtain three priceless treasures that would be able to help not only him, but also his disciples and the Flying Sword Sect!
With the help of the small scrolls, it would be much easier for someone to form a pseudo domain and later on enter the Domain Lord Realm! Even if the dao inside the scrolls was not suitable for them, it would still help them to some degree.
"Chu Yang is practicing the spear and is likely to end up pursuing the dao of the spear, while Bai Ning will likely end up pursing the dao of metal…"
Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao could not help shaking his head. From the looks of it, it looked like the one who would benefit the most from this would be Qing Yi. After all, she practiced a fire mantra and even had a fire related physique!
Having thought about just how much Qing Yi would end up benefiting from this, Xuan Hao felt like he had to get something good for his two other disciples.
"Looks like I will take a bit longer before I return to the sect… Maybe the Half Spirit race has something?"
Remembering the Half Spirit race that had been inside the valley for over a thousand years by now and the fact that they had cleaned up the ancient record hall in the past, Xuan Hao realized that they might also have similar scrolls stored somewhere.
Whoosh~
Not wasting anymore time in the ancient record hall, Xuan Hao directly left the ancient record hall. Prepared to ask the grand elder of the Half Spirit race if he could take a look at the things, they had taken out from the ancient record hall.

Chapter 501: Blue- Phoenix Feather!?
"Oh… Looks like the grand ceremony is still taking place even with me around…"
Realizing that the grand ceremony that he had ended up delaying was still proceeding with an outsider like himself around, Xuan Hao could not help showing a bit interest, as he hid himself with his domain before making his way towards the large hall of the temple where the grand ceremony of the Half Spirit race was taking place.
Compared to the large hall of the temple from before, the entire hall was completely filled to the brim with people from the Half Spirit race. Most of them cheering as a small group of young people could be seen standing on top of a large formation drawn at the centre of the large hall. Even the tallest among them had was just barely half a meter tall.
What in the world is that formation for? It was not there before…
Looking over towards the grand elder in charge of the grand ceremony talking passionately to the young people on top of the formation, Xuan Hao decided to wait until the ceremony had ended before asking the grand elder about the things, they had taken out from the ancient record hall and where those things were store
Fwoosh!
Feeling even more curious about the ceremony after seeing the formation that was on the ground beneath the group of young people light up, Xuan Hao found a good place to settle down and watch the grand ceremony of the Half Spirit race.
Even if it was a bit of a waste of time, Xuan Hao didn't mind it at all. After all, he was quite curious about the grand ceremony of the Half Spirit race himself.
"The ceremony is finally starting! I hope I can make it through the trail…"
"You are one to talk, you are far stronger than me! I only just reached the Foundation Establishment Realm two days ago!"
"It's your own fault for slacking off all the time!"
Standing on top of the large formation at the centre of the large hall, the group of young people from the Half Spirit race nervously talked among each other as the formation beneath their feet grew brighter and brighter before they suddenly found themselves inside a large arena covered in ancient symbols.
Swish~!
Before the young people from the Half Spirit race had any time to react to suddenly finding themselves somewhere completely foreign to them, they were forcibly separated from each other.
Roar!Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
Roar Roar Roar!
Following which a large demon beast at the Foundation Establishment Realm appeared in front of each of them.
Bang!
"Die! Beast!"
Boom!
Before long, the young people from the Half Spirit seemed to have recovered from their confusion, as each of them lunged towards the demon beast in front of them filled with killing intent.
Very clearly, they had realized that all of it was a part of the trail set up for them by their elders!
How interesting, it looks like the formation links together with the temple to transport the young people into some sort of arena that's part of the temple. From the looks of it, the Half Spirit race turned this arena into some sort of coming of age for their children.
Having seen the entire thing taking place, Xuan Hao easily managed to see through it. Even the actual location of the arena that the group of young people from the Half Spirit race was currently fighting inside of, could not hide from him!
However, there was nothing inside the arena other than a few demon beasts that had been sealed away inside of it. The Half spirit race also seemed to have gained full control over the arena, as a few elders were even hiding inside of it. Likely in case one of the younger people could not beat the demon beast that he or she faced off against.
Seeing this, Xuan Hao realized that the demon beast sealed away inside the arena was the doing of the elders from the Half Spirit race.
Nothing too surprising, as the strongest demon beast in there was only at the Core Formation Realm…
The only thing that made Xuan Hao curious about the demon beasts, was where they had come from. After all, when he scanned the small valley that the Half Spirit race lived inside of, he had not managed to find any demon beast at all. Not even a single demon beast at the Qi Condensation Realm was present!
"One more thing to ask the grand elder about…"
Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao looked away from the fight taking place inside the arena and instead focused on the large phoenix mural inside the large hall. After all, a fight at the Foundation Establishment Realm was far from interesting to someone at the Domain Lord Realm... Of course, things would be different if it was his own disciple fighting!
"Hm?"
Inspecting the large phoenix ceiling mural above him, Xuan Hao suddenly saw something at the tail of the phoenix that was located just above the grand elder.
Is this not another blue feather…?
Realizing that he had finally managed to find another blue feather hidden in plain sight. Blending together with the enormous phoenix in the ceiling of the large hall, Xuan Hao suddenly came to the realization, that the blue feathers that he had been collecting might very well be phoenix feathers…
Real phoenix feathers that had belonged to an ancient phoenix from the ancient era that the temple came from!
"I don't think they would mind me taking it away. After all, they have no idea its even there in the first place…"
Not planning to simply leave it now that he had found another blue phoenix feather, Xuan Hao went up and grabbed the blue phoenix feather before putting it away with the other three feathers inside his interspatial ring.
The grand elder just below him didn't notice any of this, as he continued watching over the young people fighting with all their strength inside the arena. By this point, the first and strongest among them had already begun wounding the demon beast they were fighting against, causing the surrounding members of the Half Spirit race watching through the formation to cheer excitedly.
Silently returning to the place he had been watching the fights taking place inside the arena, Xuan Hao did not have to wait for long before the fights taking place inside the arena came to an end.
In total, 23 people had participated in the trail and 23 had passed in the end. Nothing too surprising given the fact that the demon beasts were only in the First Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm, and they had been weakened by their elder before the fight took place…
Following the end of the fight in the arena, the grand elder congratulated the young people on successfully passing the trail to become adults.
The talking part was not really something Xuan Hao was that interested in, as he instead spent his time fiddling with one of the blue phoenix feathers. Trying to figure out what was so special about it to no avail.
Not to mention, he could no figure out why the other three blue phoenix feathers had not reacted to the feather inside the temple.
Was the feather inside the temple perhaps different from the three other feathers he had picked up so far…?
…
Spending the next two hours like that, Xuan Hao only put away the blue phoenix feather in his hand after discovering that the grand elder and the other elders were leaving the large hall.
At this point, it had already gotten dark outside, and the grand ceremony had come to an end. The only people who remained behind after the elders started leaving, were the young people who had just become adults.
Rustle~
"Ah! Why is it that we have to clean up after everyone?"
"Hah… Don't think too much about it, it's a tradition after all…"
"Why do I feel like its just something made up by the elders because they are too lazy to clean up the temple hall by themselves…?"
"Even if it is like that, what can we do about it?"
"That… That is true…"
Following the elders having left, these new adults of the Half Spirit race began cleaning up the large temple hall. Not looking so happy about their current situation…
Whoosh~
Seeing this scene, Xuan Hao did not intend to stay behind as he quickly followed after the grand elder of the Half Spirit race.
He had already waited patiently for a few hours and Xuan Hao really wanted to ask him about the things his race had taken out from the ancient record hall below the temple and see if he could get something for his disciples.
At the same time, he also wanted to ask him about the demon beasts sealed away inside the arena and find out where they had gotten the demon beasts from!

Chapter 502: Information about the Soul Ascension Realm!
Appearing behind the grand elder when he was alone, Xuan Hao barely managed to fit inside the room itself. The rooms of the Half Spirit race were simply not designed for someone as tall as himself…
"Hello again grand eld-"
"Ah! I-it's you again!"
Caught off-guard by Xuan Hao who had suddenly appeared behind him, the grand elder let out a small scream of surprise before turning around to face him with a nervous expression on his face.
"I hoped that you would be able to answer a few questions of mine that have after I visited the ancient record hall…"
"O-of course! Ask anything and I will do my best to answer!"
"Great! First of all, I wanted to know-"
Proceeding to ask the grand elder about the demon beasts and where they had gotten them from, Xuan Hao learned that there was a large underground cave network below their valley that had several different demon beasts living inside of it. According to the grand elder, some of those demon beasts were even stronger than him!
Given the grand elder's cultivation realm, Xuan Hao guessed that those demon beasts should at the very least have reached the Half-Step Domain Lord Realm. Maybe there was even Domain Lord Realm demon beasts!
As for the things that the past elders of the Half Spirit race had taken out from the ancient record hall in the past, they had been placed in the small town's library, while the more important records found were always protected by the grand elder.
"Would you mind me looking through the records?"
"Not at all!"
Shaking his head, the grand elder quickly took out a large stack of ancient worn-down scrolls before handing them over to Xuan Hao without the slightest bit of hesitation.
Something Xuan Hao had not expected at all. After all, these were supposed to be the most important records of the Half Spirit race! Not something that could be handed over to an outsider like him so casual!
But then again… He was far stronger than the grand elder and the other party knew that as well. Handing over everything he asked for and not get on his bad side, was obviously the safest choice for him and his town.
"Thank you, I will return them after I finish reading through them."
"Wai-"
Whoosh~
Taking the ancient scrolls, Xuan Hao directly left the grand elder's place before the other party had any time to say anything.
…
I should check out the scrolls that the elders from the Half Spirit race deemed valuable enough to take with them in the past before checking out the underground cave network mentioned by the grand elder!
Thinking this to himself as he arrived at a secluded location away from the small town where the grand elder's home was located, Xuan Hao began looking through the ancient records that the grand elder had given to him.
"Looks like the things gathered by the past elders of the Half Spirit race are indeed quite useful!"
Muttering this to himself in a happy tone as he read through the first ancient scroll, Xuan Hao felt incredibly excited the more he read through the ancient scroll.
The reason for this was simple, as the scroll itself contained a description of the different cultivation realms. From the Qi Condensation Realm, all the way up to the Soul Ascension Realm.
Not only that, but according to a few notes located at the top of the ancient scroll. There was a high chance that the scroll had been written by someone above the Soul Ascension Realm!
At least that was what Xuan Hao guessed after seeing the writer referring to himself as someone who transcended the mortal realm. Referring to the Qi Condensation Realm to the Soul Ascension Realm, as being the mortal realm. The Qi Condensation being the first step, while the Soul Ascension Realm was the last step of the mortal realm.
Skipping through the lower realms for now, Xuan Hao focused on to the part that was about the Domain Lord Realm. The realm that he himself was currently in.
Reading through the description of the Domain Lord Realm, Xuan Hao came to understand that the most important part about the Domain Lord Realm was to comprehend the laws of the world through one's domain. Inevitably, this would cause one's soul to strengthen, as the soul had already merged together with the domain upon entering the Domain Lord Realm. Something Xuan Hao had already experienced every time one of his two domains grew stronger…
"Hm? This…"
Feeling that he already understood most of the things written about the Domain Lord Realm, Xuan Hao was suddenly taken aback when he reached the end of the description of the Domain Lord Realm.
"To reach the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm, you will have merge body, soul, and domain into one… In case you have comprehended more than one domain… You will have to merge the domains together into a single domain before attempting to reach the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm. Taking on the first Tribulation to reach the Soul Ascension Realm without doing so, will result in certain death…!"
Reading it out loud to himself, Xuan Hao could not help frowning as he felt his ice and sword domain.
How in the world would he go about merging the two together?
Xuan Hao honestly had no clue and for now, it was not something to worry about, as he was still far away from reaching the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm...Immerse Yourself in the Storyverse: NvεlB¡n.
Shaking his head as he decided not to think about how to merge his two domains for now, Xuan Hao instead focused on the part that mentioned the Soul Ascension Realm...
Even at this point in time, he didn't really know much about the Soul Ascension Realm other than the fact that people at the Soul Ascension Realm were considered the most powerful people on the Ewaria Continent.
In front of a Soul Ascension Realm Expert, a Domain Lord was not worth mentioning at all!
For this reason, Xuan Hao was extremely interested in finding out more about the Soul Ascension Realm!
"I will finally be able to learn about the Soul Ascension Realm…"
Filled with excitement, Xuan Hao began reading through the ancient scroll's description of the Soul Ascension Realm.
The Soul Ascension Realm was the final stage of the mortal realm and was also the realm at which one began the process of transcending the mortal realm.
During the Soul Ascension Realm, one would have to endure six different soul tribulations. Successfully overcoming the soul tribulation would result in the cultivator undergoing the process of Soul Ascension. Soul Ascension would allow the cultivator to momentarily borrow the power of the world to strengthen their soul and comprehend the dao. Allowing them to rapidly increase their strength. Failing to overcome the tribulation would result in death!
In the end, the writer of the ancient scroll described the process of soul ascension after overcoming a soul tribulation as an opportunity even immortals would die for!
Reading this, Xuan Hao could not help looking forward to the time when he reached the Soul Ascension Realm and underwent his first soul ascension. However, at the same time, he also came to understand just how large the difference between people in the Soul Ascension Realm were.
Someone who had undergone one tribulation and someone who had gone through two were on a completely different level. Even if the difference was only a single minor realm…
"I wonder how many tribulations the ancestor and emperor of the Sky Empire made it through…"
Remembering that the ancestor of the Sky Empire and the emperor who had both reached the Soul Ascension Realm, Xuan Hao could not help wondering just how far they had gone.
Had they only made it through a single tribulation, or had they made it through more than that?
Feeling curious about this, Xuan Hao soon began reading through the ancient scroll once again. Sadly, the later part that detailed what would happen after one passed through the sixth soul tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm had been worn-down and was completely unreadable.
The only thing Xuan Hao could make out, was a small paragraph with only the words [Seventh Tribulation] still readable… Something that only ended up making him even more curious about what happened after someone passed the sixth tribulation…
However, no matter how curious Xuan Hao was, there was no way for him to find out. Unless he suddenly mastered the dao of time and reversed time for the ancient scroll…
"Hah… Looks like I will have to hope for another scroll with more information on the Soul Ascension Realm in here… At least the information about the realms below the Soul Ascension Realm is still fully intact"
Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao shook his head before reading through the ancient scroll's description of the Qi Condensation. Deepening his understanding of the different cultivation realms was key when it came to teaching his disciples!

Chapter 503: Fate of the 'other' races
Reading through the rest of the ancient scroll that was about the remaining four mortal realms, Xuan Hao once again turned his attention towards the small pile of ancient scroll that he had borrowed from the grand elder of the Half Spirit race. Not waiting long before picking out another of the ancient scroll. Hoping that it would be just as useful as the first one…
Luckily for Xuan Hao, the Half Spirt race did indeed not take anything useless from the ancient record hall of the temple!
The rest of the ancient scrolls were all covering different subjects connected to cultivation below the Domain Lord Realm. From ancient qi techniques and movement techniques to how one could ensure a successful breakthrough to the Nascent Soul Realm.
The ancient scrolls were extremely useful to the current Xuan Hao. Not only would it help him when it came to teaching his disciples, but it would also help increase the overall strength of the Flying Sword Sect after he shared some of the things, he found with the sect master!
The part about how to ensure a safe breakthrough to the Nascent Soul Realm was especially useful given how many elders they had stuck at the Peak of the Core Formation Realm. Fearful of taking the final step to reach the Nascent Soul Realm before their lifespan was about to run out…
After returning to the Flying Sword Sect and sharing this, the Flying Sword Sect would surely see a large number of new Nascent Soul Realm Experts over the next few years! Increasing the overall strength of the sect. At the same time, the people teaching a large portion of the disciples would be Nascent Soul Realm Experts. Increasing the strength of the Flying Sword Sect's younger generation!
The only unfortunate thing was that there was no scroll that increased comprehension of the dao like he had expected. From the looks of it, he would have to look somewhere else if he wanted to find something good for Chu Yang and Bai Ning.
Well… There were quite a few ancient blacksmithing blueprints among the ancient scrolls, so he just needed to find something for Chu Yang after convincing the grand elder to let go of these few ancient blacksmithing blueprints.
Taking them away was not really something Xuan Hao planned to do, as he did not want to be enemies with the Half Spirit race.
Instead, he was way more interested in having them become a part of the Flying Sword Sect in the future when the Flying Sword Sect officially moved their main sect to the Shattered Star Peaks…
However, for now, he just planned to leave them be and have Feng Chen deal with it when the time came.
"And Feng Chen will likely push the job to Elder Song…"
Storing the ancient scrolls, he had just finished reading, Xuan Hao made his way back to the grand elder of the Half Spirit race before handing the ancient scrolls back over to him. Not forgetting to ask for the few blacksmithing blueprints among the ancient scrolls.
"You can just take them; they are of no use to us in the first place…"
"Okay…"
Not knowing why, the grand elder had accepted his request so easily, Xuan Hao didn't bother asking why, as he just stored the blacksmithing blueprints for Bai Ning away.
"Ah! I was wondering why your race have not left this small valley yet?"
Having handed most of the ancient scrolls back to the grand elder of the Half spirit race, Xuan Hao was just about to leave when he suddenly realized he hadn't asked why the Half Spirit race had remained inside the valley for so long.
After all, the current strength of the Half Spirt race was more than enough to establish themselves outside!
"The reason for this is quite simple, is there not a strong power with someone in the Soul Ascension Realm ruling over the area that this place is located?"
"Yes, there is the Sky Empire…"
"Is that power not made up of humans? How would they like it if a foreign race suddenly begins establishes themselves inside what they consider their territory?"
"This…"
"It's as you think, there is no way a human empire would tolerate a foreign race suddenly appearing out of nowhere. Not to mention a human empire, no race in today's time would allow something like that… Hah… Sadly the Half Spirit race have no one to protect them, so we can only hide in here…"
Listening to what the grand elder said, Xuan Hao suddenly felt like he began to understand why there weren't any talk about other races than the demon beast and humans on the Ewaria Continent… The other races had either been annihilated or had hidden away like the Half Spirit race!
Following the conversation about why the Half Spirit race were hidden away inside the small valley, Xuan Hao did not stay around for long. Exchanging a quick farewell with the grand elder before heading towards the underground cave network filled with demon beasts. Wanting to investigate just how strong the demon beasts below the valley truly were.
Part of him was even hoping that there were at least some demon beasts at the Domain Lord Realm down there, as he really wanted to find out just how strong he was now that he reached the Seventh Stage of the Domain Lord Realm!
…
Leaving the small town, Xuan Hao headed to the place where the grand elder of the Half Spirit race had told him that the entrance of the underground cave network was located.
"Hm? This should be the place…"
Coming to a stop in front of a small cave, Xuan Hao felt a bit doubtful about him having come to the correct place. After all, the cave entrance in front of him was incredibly small. The only thing that gave him some reassurance, was the fact that his divine sense could not pass through this seemingly normal cave entrance.
"Only one way to find out if this is the right place…"
Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao took a step forward and entered the small cave entrance. Soon feeling himself disappear from the small valley of the Half Spirit race before appearing inside an enormous cave.
The cave entrance was actually a teleportation formation!?
Realizing what had just happened, Xuan Hao could not help feeling shocked. After all, the place that the Half Spirit race considered to be a cave network below their valley. Might actually be located somewhere completely different!Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
This would also make more sense, as Xuan Hao felt quite doubtful when he had heard about a large cave network below the Shattered Star Peaks filled with an enormous number of powerful demon beasts.
ROAR!
Before he could think any further about where the teleportation formation might have taken him, a loud roar filled with a terrifying power could be heard echoing out across the enormous underground cave.
"Looks like the grand elder was not wrong, there are indeed demon beasts stronger than him here…"
Feeling a bit taken aback, Xuan Hao could not help smiling wryly to himself as he looked in the direction that the loud roar had come from.
He had just been wondering whether or not he would be able to encounter any demon beasts in the Domain Lord Realm, and now one just happened to show up the moment he entered the underground cave network…
Not only that, but the strength of the demon beasts should at the very least have surpassed the Third Stage of the Domain Lord Realm!
It was no wonder that even the grand elder of the Half Spirit race was scared of entering the underground cave network to hunt for demon beasts. After all, even with his strength, he would have to be extremely careful when entering.
Catching the attention of a demon beasts that had reached the Domain Lord Realm, would spell certain death for someone like the grand elder of the Half Spirit race who had only reached the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm.
Evaluating the Domain Lord Realm demon beast in the distance that had let out the powerful roar just a few seconds ago, Xuan Hao took out the sword given to him by Yi Min.
"Hm… Even though it would be great if it was stronger, this should be more than enough for me to test out my strength! I should also be able to test the strength of my new sword…"
Looking over the beautiful silver sword that he had been given by Yi Min, Xuan Hao felt that it was a pity that he had not gotten an opportunity to use it yet. However, that would not be the case any longer…
ROOOOAR!
The Domain Lord demon beast had also noticed Xuan Hao, as he had revealed his presence the moment, he realized that the strongest demon beast around him was the one currently roaring at him angrily from a distance.

Chapter 504: Underground Cave Network and...
Following the loud roar of the Domain Lord Realm demon beast, Xuan Hao watched with a shocked look on his face as a large worm made its way towards him filled with killing intent!
The last thing that he had expected, was for the Domain Lord Realm demon beast to be a giant worm with a length of at least a few hundred meters! Not only that, but the worm was clearly covered in a thick layer of skin that increased its defences way beyond its cultivation realm!
However, Xuan Hao was not the slightest bit intimidated by the giant worm demon beast charging towards him. Gathering the power of his cultivation base and sword domain into the silver sword Yi Min had gifted him, Xuan Hao didn't give the worm demon beast any time to react, as he slashed down towards the worm demon beast charging towards him.
Not having the time to question how a worm could roar in the first place…
Swish!
Roar?
Not having any time to react to the terrifying sword light that suddenly appeared on Xuan Hao's sword before it was already too late, the worm demon beast was caught off-guard and ended up being sent flying into the distance-
Bang!
Only coming to a stop after smashing into the walls of the enormous underground cave that they were currently inside of, as a large web of cracks could be seen on the place where Xuan Hao's sword attack had hit it.
Roar!
Rumble~
Getting up the second after it had smashed into the cave wall, the worm demon beast didn't dare stay around after realizing how strong Xuan Hao was. Directly digging into the ground below it and escaping. Not giving Xuan Hao any chance to attack it again!
"…"
Watching the worm demon beast dig into the ground before escaping, Xuan Hao didn't bother chasing after it, but instead looked down at the silver sword in his hand.
From the single clash with the worm demon beast, Xuan Hao had already realized just how much stronger he was compared to before and at the same time, he also realized how important it was to have a good weapon!
Without the silver sword that he had been given by Yi Min, there was no way for him to breakthrough the worm demon beast defence so easily!
The reason for this was simple, as the worm demon beast was at the Fifth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm and from what Xuan Hao's experience, its defences were above that of a Late-Stage Domain Lord!
Thinking about it…
The reason why Xuan Hao was so certain about the level of defensive capabilities of a Late-Stage Domain Lord, was because of a certain general of the Sky Empire going by the name of Guan…
"Hehe…"
Chuckling a bit to himself when he remembered the sight of General Guan getting thrown into the barrier of the Iron Sky Kingdom's capital city again and again, Xuan hao shook his head with a small smile before returning his attention back to his surroundings.
In the future, he would have to thank him for getting beaten up in front of him by the giant rat demon beast…
For now, he would have to explore the underground cave network as the grand elder had called it and see if he could find any stronger demon beast than the worm.
At the very least, he hoped that the other caves would be more interesting than the one he currently found himself inside of…
Not only was there no other demon beasts present than the worm, but there was also nothing to see outside a barren rocky cave floor filled with several big and small craters. Most likely from past fights between demon beasts.
Whoosh~
Spreading out his divine sense, Xuan Hao quickly realized that there was some kind of force restricting force preventing him from fully utilizing his divine sense.
At his current strength, he could only barely cover and area one mile around himself. Around one fourth of the cave he currently found himself inside of.
"Hm? Looks like there is a tunnel just over there… It should lead to one of the other caves in this underground cave network that the grand elder talked about…"
Finding a tunnel after searching around for a few minutes, Xuan Hao didn't bother staying in the now empty cave and directly flew towards the tunnel that he had found. Looking forward to hopefully finding a demon beast stronger than the worm he had encountered the moment he arrived.
…
"Still barren like the last cave. The only difference is that there is no worm this time around… Don't tell me that the worm ate all the other demon beasts just before I arrived!?"
Coming to this realization as he stared at the similarly dead and barren cave that opened up in front of him, Xuan hao could not help cursing at the worm demon beast. Beginning to regret that he didn't chase after it to kill it off back then.
…
"Hm!? Finally! A different cave!"
Having wandered through god knows how many dead barren caves over the past one hour since he had first arrived in the underground cave network, Xuan Hao was just about to give up searching for the demon beasts that were present everywhere according to the grand elder of the Half Spirit race.
Whoosh!
Increasing his speed, Xuan Hao froze the moment he stepped outside of the narrow tunnel he had been inside just a moment ago.
"This… I'm outside!?"
Seeing the sun burning brightly in the sky above him, Xuan Hao was taken aback as he realized that he had indeed managed to make his way outside. Something that the grand elder had never mentioned anything about, as the demon beasts would grow stronger the further away from the entrance to the underground cave network, he went…
Given the fact that the Grand Elder was only at the Nascent Soul Realm, there was no way for him to possibly deal with a demon beast like the giant worm Xuan Hao had encountered!
"Only a single hour should have passed, why is the sun already up?"
Realizing that something was wrong, the moment he looked up into the air, Xuan Hao could not help wondering just where he had ended up.
Did he accidently enter some Secret Realm or perhaps a Mystic Realm…?
Feeling extremely confused over the situation that he found himself in, Xuan Hao didn't notice the fact that someone was observing him with a similarly confused expression from afar.
"Hah… I should just look around for now and try to find out where I am. In the first place, I can always leave through the teleportation formation left inside the cave network…"
Sighing as he muttered this to himself, Xuan Hao didn't plan to stay around in front of the narrow tunnel leading into the large cave network, as he began looking around himself. Only to realize that he was in the middle of an overgrown jungle.Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
Not only that, but the suppression on his divine sense had increased even further after having left the underground cave network. To make matters worse, Xuan Hao had also felt something restricting his ability to fly. Forcing him to move by the ground instead of the air once again…
"I should head for somewhere to get a better look over where I am…"
Whoosh~
Climbing up a nearby tree towering more than a hundred meters into the sky, Xuan Hao looked around himself. Only to find out that an endless sea of trees spread out all around him. The only thing standing out in this sea of trees, was a large mountain piercing through the sea of tree and reaching for the clouds above.
I should be able to get a better view from the mountain. Maybe I can also get an idea of where I am.
Deciding to head towards the large mountain in the distance without a second thought, Xuan Hao left behind a small formation so he would be able to locate the narrow tunnel leading into the cave network in the future. After all, the last thing he wanted was to not know how to get back home again…
Whoosh~
Even when moving on the ground, Xuan Hao's speed had not decreased by much, as he rapidly approached the large mountain in the distance. Jumping over several large ravines and rivers along the way.
His divine sense restricted to the extreme, Xuan Hao didn't even notice the fact that someone or something was following closely behind him as he moved through the large jungle…
Roar!
Along the way, Xuan Hao had also managed to discover that the jungle was filled with demon beasts. However, none of them interested him in the slightest, as most of them were only in the Nascent Soul Realm. The strongest had only barely reached the Domain Lord Realm. Far from enough to pose a challenge to the current Xuan Hao!

Chapter 505: Primeval Jungle
Screech!
Frowning as a large bird demon beast screeched at him from above, Xuan Hao was forced to hide inside a nearby ravine. Waiting patiently for a few minutes until the annoying bird demon beast left.
By far, the most annoying part about the suppression he had found himself under, was the fact that bird demon beasts could screech threateningly at him from high up in the sky without him being able to do anything to stop this.
Even worse, like the bird demon beast he had hidden from just a moment ago, the bird demon beasts never attacked him and instead just screeched angrily at him from the sky. Even hiding his cultivation realm didn't help this, as the bird demon beasts still only screeched at him threateningly from the sky.
The reason why they didn't act against him, was likely because most of them were in the Core Formation Realm, with only a few of them having reached the Nascent Soul Realm. Entering the jungle below was an extremely dangerous thing. Given how weak they were compared to most of the demon beasts hiding inside the dense jungle foliage.
The only thing he got out of hiding his cultivation, was being swarmed by these demon beasts hidden inside the jungle, as they were no longer fearful of him…
All in all, he could not do much to stop the annoying birds from screeching at him from above and could only hide from the for a few minutes before continuing his journey towards the mountain towering above the sea of trees stretching out seemingly infinitely in all directions.
"Hah… I really hope I won't encounter anymore of those annoying birds…" Glancing up through the thick tree crowns covering the small ravine that he was hiding inside, Xuan Hao made sure that the bird demon beast had left before resuming his journey towards the mountain.
Ending up quite lucky on the last part of his journey towards the mountain, Xuan Hao managed to make it all the way to the base of the mountain without any bird demon beast coming to annoy him.
Well… One did show up, but it was close enough to the ground that Xuan Hao could jump up and deal with it before it even had the time to react and escape into the clouds above. Something that was extremely satisfying after being annoyed by those birds for half hour that it took him to reach the base of the mountain towering above the sea of jungle trees.
…
Looks like I'm not the only person here…
Arriving at the base of the large mountain, Xuan Hao was slightly taken aback upon discovering a group of a little over a dozen humans gathered together a short distance away from his current location. Not only that, but Xuan Hao also discovered that each of them had reached the Domain Lord Realm, there was even one of them excluding a terrifying aura of a peak Domain Lord!
Over a dozen Domain Lords and a Peak Domain Lord! Even Xuan Hao did not have the confidence to fight such a strong group all on his own.
Luckily for Xuan Hao, it looked like they also had their divine sense restricted and were in a similar situation as him-
Rustle~
Allowing him to quickly hide in the thick foliage of the jungle crawling up the side of the tall mountain before any of them discovered him.
Hidden in the thick foliage, Xuan Hao began observing the group of Domain Lords more closely. Hoping that he could figure out where they were from and find out where he had ended up.
"Are you really sure that this is the place? You should know how dangerous this primeval jungle is!"
Asking one of the weaker Domain Lord's in the group, the leader at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm frowned slightly as he looked towards the nearby jungle trees with a cautious expression on his face.
"Yes, I'm certain that it's here! Don't think that I don't know how dangerous a primeval jungle like this is! All of us already know that a Soul Ascension Realm Expert from the central region went missing here just a few months ago!"
"""…"""
Following the weaker Domain Lord's insistence along with the mention of a Soul Ascension Realm Expert that had gone missing. The rest of the Domain Lords along with the leader quieted down for a moment a solemn look appeared on their faces.
A Soul Ascension Realm Expert disappearing was no small matter and all of them remembered just how terrified they had been after hearing about it. At the same time, it also increased their fear towards the primeval jungle.
"Hah… If you are sure, then let's get this over with as fast as possible…"
Seeing that nobody said anything after the mention of the Soul Ascension Realm Expert that had gone missing, one of the other Domain Lords in the group sighed audibly before getting the attention of the others. Reminding them that the faster they finished what they set out for. The faster they would be able to leave the Primeval Jungle.
"Indeed, we can't let our past few weeks of struggle be in vain. Let's get going and hope our brother's information is correct…"
"True, we also need to get going before it gets dark. Remember what happened last night when-"
After a few others in the group joined in wanting to get things over with as soon as possible so they could leave the jungle, the leader agreed, and the entire group began making their way up the mountain.
Not noticing Xuan Hao hidden only a few hundred meters away from them. Listening to their conversation with great interest.
…
So, this is somewhere close to the central part of the continent…
Realizing just where he had ended up, Xuan hao could not help wondering why the ancient teleportation formation located inside the valley of the Half Spirit race had ended up taking him to an ancient primeval jungle close to the central part of the continent…Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
Outside of that, Xuan Hao also became way more cautious about his surroundings compared to before. After all, the group of Domain Lords had just mentioned that a Soul Ascension Realm Expert had gone missing inside the primeval jungle a few months ago!
No matter how strong Xuan Hao thought he was, there was still no way he thought that he would be able to escape from something that even a Soul Ascension Realm Expert could not escape from…
However, even knowing all of this and how dangerous it was for someone at the Domain Lord Realm to enter the primeval jungle, the group of Domain Lords had still decided to enter the primeval jungle!
Why did they come here and what are they looking for?
Wanting an answer to these two burning questions, Xuan Hao decided against leaving the dangerous primeval jungle and instead decided to secretly follow the group of Domain Lords up the mountain.
Large parts of the mountain had been completely covered in green foliage and small trees, as the jungle tried its best to swallow up the large mountain piercing through the clouds above. Making it easy for Xuan Hao to hide while following after the group of Domain Lords.
Rustle~
Shortly after Xuan Hao had left his hiding place and followed after the group of Domain Lords, a pair of bright green eyes appeared in the foliage behind him. Following him closely as he sneakily followed behind the group of Domain Lords.
…
At the same time Xuan Hao was busy inside the primeval jungle, the Order of the Sky God had just learned about the church of the plague god's recent movement in the Azure Sky Kingdom.
"Are those people from the church of the plague god stupid? Do they really think we would just allow them to swallow up a kingdom without responding!? Archbishop Soft breeze, you will go and deal with those annoying leaches from the church of the plague god once and for all!"
Following the angry voice of a man standing inside an enormous temple, an elderly man bowing down faithfully in front of him quickly nodded his head before answering reverently.
"Yes, Lord Cardinal!"
"Good! You may leave! Make sure to finish before those people from the fire cult and the moon worshippers find out, we can't let them take in even more followers in the border region after finishing off those leaches of the plague god!"
"Yes!"
Nodding his head faithfully upon hearing what the Lord Cardinal said, Archbishop Soft Breeze soon disappeared out the large and exquisitely decorated entrance to the enormous temple.
"Hmph, have an Archbishop deal with it should be more than enough, I refuse to believe that the church of the plague god sent a cardinal to deal with a mere border kingdom!"
Shaking his head disdainfully upon mentioning the last part, the cardinal from the Order of the Sky God no longer paid any attention to his surroundings, as he closed his eyes and began praying faithfully.

Chapter 506: Spiders?
"Haha, so many spiritual herbs and all of them are above the Spirit Grade! Brother, it seems like it was a good decision for us to trust you and take the risk to enter the primeval jungle!"
Having made their way to the top of the mountain, the leader walking in front was the first to react as he happily laughed upon seeing spiritual herbs present everywhere on the mountain peak.
Growing everywhere on the mountain peak. Not showing the slightest sign of having been disturbed by any cultivators or demon beasts that might have passed through the area over the hundreds of years that it had taken for them to reach their current level!
"So many spiritual herbs… There are even a few at the Mystic Grade!"
"Good brother… Thanks for taking us with you when exploring this place!"
"Indeed, without him, we wouldn't have been able to find this place! Ha, if not for his insistence, none of us would have dared enter the Primeval Jungle just a few months after a Soul Ascension Realm Expert went missing!"
"Haha, when we get back, I will make sure to help you out if you want a new weapon made."
"Don't forget me! I will make a few pills if yo-"
As the group of Domain Lords were all busy praising the one who had shown them the way to the mountain peak filled with spiritual herbs, Xuan Hao hidden behind a large rock covered in a layer of green moss could not help frowning upon witnessing the large number of spiritual herbs.
Not to mention the fact that there was no chaotic qi present in the air at the current height and the fact that the jungle plants had manged to climb all the way up to where he current was, Xuan Hao was even more disturbed by the fact that he could see more than three Mystic Grade Spiritual Herbs unprotected on the mountain peak.
"Haha, brothers, let's harvest these spiritual herbs before it gets dark, we can split them after we have safely left the primeval jungle!"
With a happy smile on his face, the leader of the Domain Lords was not as worried about the unprotected spiritual herbs as Xuan Hao was. Directly taking the lead and starting to harvest the different spiritual herbs on top of the mountain peak.
Unlike the danger Xuan Hao had expected the group of Domain Lords would encounter upon beginning to harvest the spiritual herbs. Nothing happened. Even when the leader slowly put away the Mystic Grade Spiritual Herbs on the mountain peak, there was no sign of any secretly hidden demon beast showing up to defend its precious spiritual herbs.
A few minutes passed like this, as Xuan Hao just secretly watched how the group of Domain Lords harvested all the spiritual herbs on top of the mountain peak.
During this short period of time, he had already taken the liberty of gazing out across the large jungle that surrounded the mountain. However, he was quite disappointed to realize that there were no signs of any human activity in sight. All he could see was the seemingly endless sea of green stretching far into the distant horizon.
Hm?
Staring out into the endless sea of green from behind the rock as the group of Domain Lords happily gathered the spiritual herbs on the mountain peak, Xuan Hao suddenly frowned.
In the distance, he could barely make out something moving rapidly through the thick primeval jungle. Destroying any tree in its path!
Along with knowing just how dangerous the primeval jungle was, Xuan Hao quickly decided to leave the mountain peak. After all, even a Soul Ascension Realm Expert could not keep themselves safe in the primeval jungle!
Not only that, but the path of the thing moving rapidly through the primeval jungle, was very clearly the mountain he was currently on top of…
"Truly a great harvest! Let's get the last few spiritual herbs before heading back down and finding somewhere safe to stay for the night."
Rustle~
Ignoring the happy words from the leader of the small group of Domain Lords still unaware of something that was very likely dangerous moving in his direction, Xuan Hao quickly began descending down from the mountain peak. Making sure not to move too quickly and accidently end up revealing his presence to the group of Domain Lords in the process.
He did not plan to stay around and find out what the thing heading towards the mountain peak was. After all, what would he do if what was most likely a powerful demon beast heading towards the mountain peak was also the one behind the missing Soul Ascension Realm Expert?
Given the fact that he could not fly under the current suppression, Xuan Hao didn't think he would be able to escape if the creature heading towards the mountain peak ended up targeting him!
"…"
Likely of the same opinion as him, the owner of the pair of bright green eyes also secretly followed after Xuan Hao down the mountain. Not showing the slightest interest towards the spiritual herbs from start to finish.
…
Rumble~!
"Hm? What is that?"
Unaware of the fact that Xuan Hao and another person had already left after realizing something dangerous was approaching, the leader of the Domain Lords was taken aback upon suddenly feeling the ground beneath his feet start shaking violently.
"T-that-"
Looking out across the primeval jungle to try and find out where the shaking had come from, the leader was shocked upon discovering the cause of the shaking.
"A-an emerald demon spider…"
Saying this with a look of fear on his face, the leader at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm muttered out the name of the giant green spider that had crashed directly into the base of the mountain just a moment ago. If Xuan Hao was still there, he would have wondered why the leader was so terrified after seeing the emerald demon spider. After all, it was only at the First Stage of the Domain Lord Realm. Not really something the group of Domain Lords would have to worry about with their strength.
"Is it really an emerald demon spider…?"
"Yes! We have to leave now! I think… This mountain… Might even be-
Bang! Bang!
Just before the leader managed to finish speaking, the emerald spider that still hadn't gotten up after crashing headfirst into the large mountain suddenly began mindlessly smashing its head into the place where it had smashed into the mountain.
Rumble~Where Stories Blossom: NvεlB¡n.
Soon revealing a large passageway leading directly into the mountain hidden behind a layer of rock and dirt.
"We have to leave! Immediately!"
Realizing something upon seeing what the emerald demon spider did, the leader showed an even more fearful expression as the rest of the Domain Lords realized the seriousness of their situation.
Whoosh~!
Not saying much following this the group of Domain Lords rapidly rushed down the mountain. Abandoning the spiritual herbs that were still left on the mountain peak.
Rumble~
Before the group even had the time to reach the base of the mountain. Several large passageways suddenly appeared all across the mountain, as a large number of emerald demon spiders appeared from each of these passageways.
Even the weakest one among them had reached the Core Formation Realm, while the stronger ones had already entered the Earlier stages of the Domain Lord Realm. Similar to the one who had smashed headfirst into the mountain in what had likely been an attempt to wake up the nest of emerald demon spiders.
"The mountain was indeed an emerald demon spider nest! No wonder all those spiritual herbs were just sitting there without anyone guarding them! The reason why none of them were present is likely because they recently entered a deep sleep after going on an eating frenzy!"
Realizing what had happened after seeing the large number of enormous spiders pour out in a seemingly endless stream from the mountain, the leader could not help cursing loudly.
"Recently gone to sleep after an eating frenzy… Leader… Don't tell that the Soul Ascension Realm Expert that went missing over the past few months-"
"Don't finish that sentence… Let's just get out of here for now. The strongest among them is still only in the early stages of the Domain Lord Realm and they have not noticed us yet. Hopefully we can get out of here before they manage to fully wake up from their sleep…"
Interrupting what one of the Domain Lords beside him was about to say in an attempt to stop him from falling into despair at their current situation, the leader tried to remain optimistic, as the thick foliage of the primeval jungle grew closer and closer with each passing second.
As long as they made it to the primeval jungle before being noticed, they should be fine, as the still barely awake emerald demon spiders would have a hard time realizing they had even been there in the first place.
Screech!
However, things did not go as planned, as a large bird at the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm spotted them. Screeching loudly to annoy them and of course…
Rustle Rustle Rustle~!
Alerting the emerald demon spiders in the process!

DAMNABLE BIRD!!!
Chapter 507: Desperate Escape
Boom!
Rumble~!
Unaware of what was taking place back at the mountain, Xuan Hao was not at all surprised upon hearing the loud explosions and rumbling sound coming from behind him.
Good thing I left before I got drawn into the fight!
Not thinking too much about what had happened back at the mountain, Xuan Hao continued making his way back towards the underground cave network that the ancient teleportation formation he had used to arrive at the primeval jungle was located.
Knowing that a Soul Ascension Realm Expert had very likely perished inside the primeval jungle, Xuan Hao had no plans to stay around the primeval jungle and try to look for opportunities to increase his strength.
In the first place, he had only come to see the cave network that was below the valley of the Half Spirits according to them.
Something they would have figured out was not true if they had someone strong enough to make it out of the underground cave network and into the primeval jungle located just outside. Especially with the Domain Lord Realm worm that he had encountered just after entering the underground cave network…
Shaking his head as he thought about this while making his way through the thick foliage of the primeval jungle, Xuan Hao suddenly realized that shaking he had felt a moment ago had not stopped. Instead, it had increased in intensity!
"Are they perhaps fighting while moving in my direction?"
Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao curiously looked back in the direction of the mountain before he began increasing his speed.
No matter what, he did not want to get dragged into the battle between a powerful demon beast and a group of Domain Lords-
Whoosh~!
However, before he could take more than a few steps in the direction of the underground cave network, a bloodied body suddenly came flying towards him from above.
Crack~ Bang!
Barely dodging to the side and avoiding the bloodied body that had seemingly come out of nowhere as it crashed through a few nearby trees before finally coming to a stop, Xuan Hao quickly recognized the owner of the body as one of the weaker Domain Lords from the group he had met at the mountain.
"he's dead…"
Only needing a single glance to determine that his soul had already been extinguish before having been sent flying towards his location, Xuan Hao could not help shivering a bit at the thought of the demon beast that had caused this.
No more than five minutes had passed since he had escaped into the jungle, yet one of the Domain Lord's had already died! Even worse, he could clearly tell that the fight was heading in his direction from the increasingly loud sounds of battle.
If that was not enough, he could just look up to see a few large broken jungle trees flying overhead. Having been sent flying by the aftershocks of the battle behind him…
Bang!
Seeing one of the broken trees land directly in front of him, along with the sounds of battle growing closer with each passing second, Xuan Hao did not even thinking twice before escaping in the direction of the underground cave network.
Whoosh!
Not forgetting to pick up the now dead Domain Lord's interspatial ring before escaping. After all, the wealth of a Domain Lord was nothing to scoff and would be immensely useful to not only him, but also his disciples. That would be especially true for a Domain Lord in question was from the central region of the Ewaria Continent!
…
At the same time that Xuan Hao was running away from the fight taking place behind him, the group of Domain Lords were in the same situation, as they desperately ran in the exact same direction as him.
Rustle~ Rustle~ Rustle~
The reason for this was simple, as the seemingly endless swarm of emerald demon spiders prevented them from moving in any other direction.
Two people were not present in the group, one being the Domain Lord that Xuan Hao had found dead, while the other was the leader at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm.
Swish~
Just as the group were beginning to widen the distance between them and the emerald demon spiders chasing from behind, a painful scream suddenly echoed out from behind, as they suddenly saw their leader flying straight past them.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Ah-!"
Crashing through several ancient jungle trees stretching over a hundred meters into the air before slowing down enough to recover and join the group of bewildered Domain Lords in escaping.
"B-big brother… What on earth happened!? Didn't you say that you would just injure the Domain Lord Realm emerald demon spiders following after us?!"
Hearing what on of the Domain Lord's said, the leader could not help showing a depressed smile as he shook his head helplessly.
"An emerald demon spider at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm suddenly appeared out of nowhere and launched a sneak attack, I only barely managed to block the attack before being sent flying. By the way, where is-"
"He is no longer with us… An emerald demon spider at the Fifth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm appeared to block our escape path just when you left. In the end, he held it back. Allowing us to escape before the swarm descended upon us… We didn't see what happened, but…"
"I… I understand…"
Realizing that they had already lost one person only a few minutes after the escape had started, the leader could not help feeling even more depressed over their current situation.
Not to mention the fact that they had already lost one person, the Peak Domain Lord Realm emerald demon spider was even more worrisome. Especially given the fact that it had not followed him to continue its attack after launching him flying.
Looking around himself cautiously as he thought about this, the leader felt extremely stressed. Having to both worry about the swarm of emerald demon spiders chasing them from behind, while also having to worry about a Peak Domain Lord Realm emerald demon spider launching a sneak attack when he least expected it.
Stepping into a small opening that had been created by some of the trees that had been sent flying during his short clash with the Peak Domain Lord Realm emerald demon spider, the leader and the other Domain Lords discovered the dead body of the brother who had sacrificed his life to buy them a few precious seconds time to escape.
"B-brother!"
"W-what on earth happened to him?!"
"His soul has already been extinguished…"Immerse Yourself in the Storyverse: NvεlB¡n.
Not able to waste even a single second to pick up the dead body, the group could only watch with agonized faces, as the body of their brother was consumed by the tide of giant green spiders moving towards them from behind.
However, this was only the start of their escape, they were still far from making it out of the primeval jungle. Not to mention how difficult it would be for them to survive a single day; they would need at least a few weeks to leave the primeval jungle!
Like this, the painful escape for the group of Domain Lords began. The second person and third person already passing away shortly after the leader had returned due to a massive surprise attack by over twenty Domain Lord Realm emerald demon spiders…
The Peak Domain Lord emerald demon spider also showing up to restrain the leader before disappearing shortly after the death of the two Domain Lords.
From the perspective of the leader and the other Domain Lords, it almost felt like the emerald demon spiders had begun playing with them.
…
"There should be a large underground cave network somewhere over here! Remember? We camped inside one of the caves just the other day… Maybe we can shake off the emerald demon spiders and escape by entering the underground cave network!"
Already having run for close to half an hour by now, one of the only five remaining Domain Lords could not help suggesting upon realizing where they were.
"What if it's a dead end…?"
"Do we really have an option at this point in time?! Will we be able to survive if we continue running like this!? The emerald demon spiders should be preparing to launch a final attack to finish the rest of us off! It doesn't matter if you don't want to take the risk, but I will!"
Whoosh!
Not backing down in the slightest upon hearing the Domain Lord running beside him said, the Domain Lord who suggested to enter the underground cave network didn't wait for the others to agree to his idea and instead just directly rushed into the nearby small tunnel leading inside the cave that they had spent the last night inside of.
"Hah… What he said makes sense… Why not just take the risk. At least it's better than waiting for the emerald demon spiders to launch a final attack and kill all of us…"
""…""
Hearing what their leader said, the Domain Lord who had hesitated to enter the underground cave network along with the other two silently agreed.
Indeed… Staying up on ground and running through the jungle would only get them killed in the end. Better to take a risk and possibly come out of it alive in the end!
Whoosh!
Not wasting too much time in front of the small tunnel entrance to the underground cave network, the remaining four Domain Lords entered. Quickly catching up to the Domain Lord who had already rushed inside.

Chapter 508: Return of the Worm
Roar!
"You again?"
Having just entered the underground cave network, Xuan Hao was taken aback upon suddenly encountering the giant roaring worm that he had met back when he had first arrived at the underground cave network located below the primeval jungle.
Rumble~ Crack!
Roar! Roar! Roar!
About to rush over to kill the Domain Lord Realm worm before it had a chance to escape again, Xuan Hao was suddenly caught off-guard, as several new worms suddenly burst out from the ground around the first giant worm before joining in and starting to roar threateningly at him.
In total, there was seven worms, all of which had reached the Domain Lord Realm. To be honest, it was really not something Xuan Hao wanted to deal with at the moment. Especially given the fact that he was trying to leave the primeval jungle before he would end up getting dragged into the trouble caused by the group of unknown Domain Lords that he had encountered back at the mountain…
ROAR!
Almost like the fear it had felt upon their first short clash had disappeared over the past few hours, the giant worm roared arrogantly before charging towards Xuan Hao together with the other six giant worms at the Domain Lord Realm. Not planning to give him a chance to escape.
"Hah… I really don't have time for this…"
Letting out a reluctant sigh as he watched oversized worms slither towards him at a speed that would put an ordinary Domain Lord to shame, Xuan Hao waved his hand, causing the silver sword he had been gifted by Yi Min to appear once again.
Ching~
"Hm?"
Unsheathing the silver sword just in time to meet the angry giant worm he had wounded earlier in the day; Xuan Hao showed a slightly surprised upon noticing that he didn't pierce through the thick skin of the worm like he had done only a few hours ago.
Roar!
Seeing that Xuan Hao could not cut into it's skin like it had before, the giant worm became excited.
Not feeling nervous after having realized that he for some reason could not pierce through the skin of the giant worm by just using his sword domain and sword together, Xuan Hao decided to try out one of the first sword attack from the Heaven Splitting Sword Art. Earth Splitting!
"Think I can't pierce through you skin- Why are they here!?"
Retreating rapidly before the other worms managed to catch up and launch a combined attack together with the giant worm, Xuan Hao was just about to test out the Heaven Splitting Sword Art, when a group of five familiar looking Domain Lords suddenly came running out of the same tunnel that he had used to enter the underground cave network.
Roar?
Rooooar roaar?
Even the group of worms were confused over the sudden appearances of a small group of human Domain Lords. Stopping in their charge towards Xuan Hao, as they began communicating with each other about what to do now that even more humans had showed up.
The group of human Domain Lords were no better, as they also came to a stop upon discovering that the cave was not empty like they had expected.
"""…"""
Suddenly, everything inside the cave became silent, as the three parties began inspecting each other. Not knowing what to do in their current situation.
Rumble~Immerse Yourself in the Storyverse: NvεlB¡n.
Before any of them even said a single word, a loud rumbling sound came from the tunnel behind the group of human Domain Lords, causing a terrified expression to appear on all their faces, as they began desperately escaping towards the tunnel leading to another cave. Not paying any attention to the worms and Xuan Hao along the way.
The rumbling sound should be from the powerful demon beast chasing after them! For them to be that terrified even with someone at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm around… It might be a Soul Ascension Realm demon beast chasing them!
Realizing that it was best for him to leave, Xuan Hao was not one to pointlessly stay and fight the worms, as he quickly entered the tunnel leading to the next cave before the group of human Domain Lords.
Whoosh~!
"W-what in the world?!"
"Who was that…?"
"So fast, he should at least be someone at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm. Maybe even someone who is half a step into the Soul Ascension Realm!"
Unaware of the impression that he had left on the Human Domain Lords, Xuan Hao rapidly rushed towards the location of the ancient teleportation formation, there was no way he was confident in facing something like a Soul Ascension Realm demon beast!
Especially given the fact that the group of more than a dozen human Domain Lords and a Peak Domain Lord had already failed. Leaving only five of them alive!
For now, all he had to focus on, was getting to the ancient teleportation formation and getting out of the primeval jun-
Skitter Skitter~
Before he could even make it through to the other side of the tunnel, Xuan Hao found his path forward blocked off by a large red ant.
"A red ant?"
Not thinking too much about the sudden appearance of a red ant, Xuan Hao swung his sword towards a large red ant that had suddenly appeared in front of him. Intending to kill it quickly before moving on.
After all, the ant was only in the Nascent Soul Realm, so a casual swing was more than enough for him to deal with it with his current strength!
Swish~
Effortlessly cutting it in half before it even had the time to react, Xuan Hao rushed past its dead body.
"More ants…?"
Only to realize, that there were even more of the red ants behind the one he just killed…
"Looks like they are only in the Core Formation Realm."
Muttering this to himself as he stopped for a short moment to observe the red ants, Xuan Hao thrust his sword forward after realizing that they were only in the Core Formation Realm.
Fwoosh!
Along the blade of the sword, a silver-coloured sword light was formed before it shot out towards the red ants. Instantly sweeping through the red ants before they had any time to respond. Killing all of them!
The sword light formed by his sword domain was indeed quite useful when it came to dealing with a bunch of weaker opponents. Especially so in a place where the range of both his divine sense and domain had been limited…
Arriving at the other side of the tunnel only a few seconds after having killed off the red ants blocking his path, Xuan Hao suddenly froze on the spot.
"This… Is quite troublesome…"
Staring at the seemingly endless sea of red spiders covering the entire cave in front of him, Xuan Hao could not help shivering at the sheer number of red ants crawling around in front of him.
Even if the strongest one among them had only reached the early stages of the Domain Lord Realm and was of no real threat to him, it did not lessen the fear brought along by the sight of the seemingly endless sea of ants that covered everything inside the cave.
Not to mention, the red ants had the advantage of numbers. Fighting them did not really seem like a good idea…
Whoosh~!
Hiding before the red ants managed to spot him, Xuan Hao could not help feeling thankful for the fact that the area around the tunnel entrance was one of the only places inside the cave that the red ants had yet to cover up.
Is there going to be more ants in the other caves? What about the teleportation formation? Have any of the ants entered it and begun attacking the Half Spirit town?
With these questions swirling through his mind, Xuan Hao suddenly felt the presence of the five human Domain Lords coming towards him from the other side of the tunnel.
"Stop!"
Stepping forward before the group could rush into the ant covered cave, Xuan Hao felt relieved upon seeing the person in front coming to a stop upon hearing what he said.
"Everyone, stop"
Along with the words of the person in the front, the group of Domain Lords quickly came to a stop.
If they ignored him and charged forward, they would have ended up being spotted by the red ants on the other side.
"Might I ask why you stopped us? As you should have realized by now, we are currently in the process of esca- That!? Primeval Fire Ants!? Don't tell me… Did we perhaps walk into a primeval fire ant nest…?"
Before the leader of the group of Domain Lords even had the time to finish his sentence, he quickly discovered the red ants covering the entire cave in front of them.
Hm… So, they are called primeval fire ants…
"Indeed, quite a troublesome situation all of us have found ourselves in. Might I ask what demon beast was chasing after you and your group? From the looks of it, it should be a quite powerful one…"
Noting down the name of the red ants, Xuan Hao didn't show the slightest bit of nervousness on his face. Calmly asking the leader currently looking like he was about to break down after seeing the seemingly endless sea of ants blocking their path forward.

Chapter 509: Primeval Fire Ants vs Emerald Demon Spiders!
"What kind of demon beast is chasing after us…?"
"Yes, I was wondering what got you all so scared. Especially given the fact that you are at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm…"
Saying this, Xuan Hao could not help looking curiously at the man at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm. Feeling even more curious about the demon beast that was chasing them.
Back at the mountain, he had not managed to catch a glimpse of the demon beasts rushing towards the mountain. Leaving before it showed up to avoid the trouble, that he now found himself in the middle of anyway.
All things considered; it had been completely useless to run a bit earlier. In the end, he was now sandwiched between the primeval fire ants and the demon beasts chasing after the group of Domain Lords standing just next to him…
"It's not just a demon beast chasing after us… We… Happened to antagonize an emerald demon spider nest. Quite similar to the primeval fire ant nest that we now find ourselves inside of…"
"…"
Not knowing what to say after hearing what the man said, Xuan Hao could already imagine an endless tide of spiders coming towards them from the other side of the tunnel at any moment.
"In the end, we are stuck between a rock and a hard place… Hah…"
Muttering this to himself as he let out a sigh at the end, Xuan Hao could not help but lament over his current situation. From the looks of it, he would have no way out of fighting his way to the ancient teleportation formation deeper inside the underground cave network… Or, well… Primeval fire ant nest…
Who in the world builds a teleportation formation in such a dangerous location in the first place!?
Cursing the people who had chosen such a location for a teleportation formation, Xuan Hao forgot that thousands, if not tens of thousands of years had likely passed since the construction of the teleportation formation and the time when the primeval fire ant nest appeared.
Bang!
Interrupting his train of thought, Xuan Hao could not help frowning upon noticing a giant green spider at the Nascent Soul Realm suddenly appear on the other side of the tunnel before rushing towards them.
Looks like the emerald demon spiders showed up already.
Thinking this to himself Xuan Hao casually slashed his sword down in the direction of the emerald demon spider before the other Domain Lords present had any time to react to the appearance of the spider.
Swish~
A silver-coloured light instantly formed and flew past the group of Domain Lords before directly slashing the Nascent Soul Realm emerald demon spider in half.
Screec-
Letting out what sounded like a painful screeching sound upon suddenly being slashed in half by the sword light. The spider's soul barely managed to stay alive for a little over a second after the death of the body before being consumed by the silver-coloured sword light.
"Let's get out of here before more spiders show up, we can try to use the ants to distract them. Maybe we will be able to get a chance to escape during the chaos!"
Before Xuan Hao even said a single word following the death of the spider, the Peak Domain Lord seemed to have calmed down as he suggested this.
"Let's try that… We can try and hide behind some of the large rocks just outside the entrance and wait for the spiders and ants to clash with each other before trying to escape."
Even if the Peak Domain Lord had somewhat lost hope when it came to getting out alive after discovering that he had entered a primeval fire ant nest, he is clearly not one to give up without at least trying…
Thinking this to himself as he agreed with the idea, Xuan Hao and the five other Domain Lords soon snuck out of the tunnel entrance before hiding behind a few different smaller rocks located just next to the cave wall and only a few dozen meters away from the entrance to the tunnel.
During the entire process of sneaking out of the tunnel entrance, Xuan Hao made sure to keep an eye on both the primeval fire ants and the human Domain Lords. After all, there was no way he could just trust a group of complete strangers. Especially given their current circumstances and the fact that they might try to use him as a distraction to escape themselves…
The reason why they were so friendly since meeting, was likely due to the fact that the primeval fire ants were located just next to them!
Rumble~
Keeping an eye on everyone, Xuan Hao could not help growing nervous as he watched the tunnel beginning to shake violently all of a sudden. Quietly deciding to move as far away as possible, while both the human Domain Lords and the primeval fire ants had their attention focused on the tunnel that began shaking more and more violently with each passing second.
Screeeeeech!
Along with a rather annoying screeching sound, the first emerald appeared. Instantly alerting primeval fire ants, who remained silent for a short moment to examine the spider that had suddenly appeared inside their nest.
Screech!
Seemingly undeterred by the cave filled with primeval fire ants, the emerald demon spider charged forward and attacked the closest primeval fire ants.
Given the fact that the emerald demon spider that had appeared was at the First Stage of the Domain Lord Realm, the destruction brought upon by it attacking the outer edges of the sea of primeval fire ants was instantly visible, as most of the primeval fire ants located there was only at the Core Formation Realm.
Boom!
The attacks of the emerald demon spider instantly killed thousands of primeval fire ants. Followed by the fact that more and more emerald demon spiders appeared from the tunnel entrance, the large sea of primeval fire ants instantly began responding to the sudden attack by the emerald spiders that had begun pouring into their nest.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Soon enough, both the emerald demon spiders and the primeval fire ants were engaged in a bloody battle.
Xuan Hao and the other human Domain Lords were watching this bloody scene happily, as none of them had been discovered yet.
Looking for an opening to charge through the battlefield and reach a tunnel leading towards the cave of the ancient teleportation formation, Xuan Hao kept his attention mainly focused on the Domain Lords present inside the cave.
Most of the primeval fire ant and emerald demon spider Domain Lords were already locked in battle, but for some reason. The stronger Domain Lords on both sides had not moved yet.
Because of this, the human Domain Lords had yet to act and were still waiting around looking for an opportunity just like him.
The battle continued like this for the next minute before one of the stronger primeval fire ants suddenly moved. Instantly killing two of the emerald demon spider's weaker Domain Lords.
BOOM!
Along with the move from the primeval fire ant Domain Lord, the emerald demon spider's stronger Domain Lords also joined the battle.
Not even a few seconds later, an opportunity appeared!
This is it!
Seeing a Peak Domain Lord emerald demon spider and a Peak Domain Lord primeval fire ant begin clashing with each other, Xuan Hao decided to take his chance and rush towards the tunnel entrance leading to the next cave.
Using the highest speed possible under the suppression in the primeval jungle, Xuan Hao jumped on the head of a giant emerald demon spider before using it as a steppingstone to jump across the battlefield in the direction of the tunnel leading to the next cave.
Bang!
Whoosh~
Along with jumping off the head of the emerald demon spider, the sheer strength put into his legs instantly crushed the head of the unlucky emerald demon spider that had been chosen to be used by him.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The emerald demon spider was not alone in this unfortunate fate, as several other emerald demon spiders and primeval fire ants encountered the same fate only a few seconds later. Having been used by Xuan Hao to traves through the chaotic battlefield without having to deal with anyone attacking him-
Fwoosh~
At least he would have liked for things to play out like that, but a few nearby primeval fire ants at the Domain Lord Realm had almost instantly spotted him, as they launched several enormous balls of fire towards him while charging over. Not showing the slightest bit of care towards the primeval fire ants that they would inevitably end up killing with their attacks.
Swish~
BOOM!
Narrowly dodging the attacks from the primeval fire ant Domain Lords, Xuan Hao nimbly ran past them without fighting before continuing his charge towards the tunnel leading out of the now war-torn cave.N0v3lRealm was the platform where this chapter was initially revealed on N0v3l.B1n.
Much to the bewilderment of the primeval fire ant Domain Lords, who had expected for him to fight with them…

Chapter 510: Back Again...
Whoosh~
Following closely in Xuan Hao's footsteps, the other human Domain Lords also decided to use the opportunity to move out from their hiding spots. Charging towards a different tunnel closer to them and at the same time avoiding most of the Domain Lord Realm Experts on both the spiders and ants' side.
However, they were not able to reach the tunnel peacefully, as a group of emerald demon spider Domain Lords barely managed to block them before they could escape from the cave.
Boom!
A loud explosion suddenly echoed across the large battlefield inside the enormous underground cave as a Domain Lord from the emerald demon spiders side stepped forward and blocked the advance of the human Domain Lords.
Soon, the human Domain Lords and the emerald demon spider began fighting, with more and more emerald demon spider Domain Lords coming over to help out. The difference this time around, was that the emerald demon spiders were no longer at an advantage, as they now also had to deal with the primeval fire ants at the same time. Only capable of having a small number of their Domain Lords rush over to fight with the human Domain Lords to prevent them from escaping again.
Like this, the human Domain Lords slowly began to push back the emerald demon spiders. Getting closer and closer to the tunnel leading out of the war-torn cave.
Glancing over from the side to see their situation, Xuan Hao was surprised to see the Peak Domain Lord from the group of human Domain Lords singlehandedly fight five emerald demon spider Domain Lords!
Even more astonishing was the fact that he had managed to grievously injure two of the weaker ones and looked like he was about to go in for a killing blow!
A Peak Domain Lord was indeed not one to be underestimated!
Shaking his head at this thought as he turned his attention back towards the path in front of him, Xuan Hao noticed that a few Domain Lords among the primeval fire ants had already rushed in front of him and was blocking his path forward.
Fwoosh!
This time around, they didn't wait around like the last group he had rushed past, but instead took the initiative to launch an attack towards him. Clearly not planning to let him slip past them like he had just done when the first group attempted to stop him.
FWOOSH!
Feeling the terrifying fire surging towards him under the guidance of the primeval fire ants before taking the form of a giant sea of fire, Xuan Hao could not help narrowing his eyes.
Not only was the attack far more powerful, but the weaker primeval fire ants along the path of the sea of fire was not affected by it at all. Instead, they seemingly merged together with it and strengthened the sea of fire even further!
Different from the enormous fire balls that the other primeval fire ants had thrown at him. The large sea of fire conjured up through the combined effort of these primeval fire ants was simply terrifying…
This time around, there was no way for him to escape!
Knowing that there was no way to dodge the sea of fire conjured forth by the primeval fire ants, Xuan Hao could not help thinking about the Heaven Splitting Sword Art… As of now, he still had not gotten an opportunity to try out the Earth Splitting Sword form the Heaven Splitting Sword Art…
Crack~
Looking over towards the sea of fire growing closer, Xuan Hao was just about to use the Earth Splitting Sword, when a large number of familiar worms suddenly broke through the rocky ground in front of him.
Bang!
Getting hit by the large sea of fire before they even had the time to react…
Fwoosh!
As the fire sea of the primeval fire ants hit the giant worm that had now grown even stronger, Xuan Hao watched with amazement how the skin of the worm turned bright red before it began to rapidly absorb the sea of fire before it even had a chance to harm the other worms beside it.
ROAR!
"…"
Listening to the angry roar of the all too familiar worm that had now shown up again with even more Domain Lord Realm worms following behind it, Xuan Hao didn't even bother questioning why it had grown even stronger within the span of only a few minutes.
The first time he had seen it, it was at the Fifth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm, a few minutes ago, it was at the sixth stage and now it was at the seventh stage!
Meaning, the worm had gone from the Fifth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm to the Seventh Stage of the Domain Lord Realm. Increasing in strength by one minor realm every time it had escaped. Now firmly placing it at the same realm as him….
Would the worm demon beast reach the Soul Ascension Realm if he caused it to run away a few more times…?N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapter's release on N0v3l--B1n.
Shaking his head as he threw this thought to the back of his mind for now, Xuan Hao focused on the battle currently taking place in front of him.
The primeval fire ants, caught off-guard by the sudden appearance of the worms, were currently in the process of being completely massacred by said worms. The main reason for this, was also because there was no more than four primeval fire ant Domain Lords present, while there were more than twenty worms at the same realm.
Not to mention the now Late-Stage Domain Lord Realm leading the charge against the primeval fire ants…
I should get out of here before they are finished with the primeval fire ants…
Knowing very well that he was the target of the worms, Xuan Hao didn't intend to stay around and wait for them to finish off the small group of primeval fire ant Domain Lords.
Whoosh~
Using the chaos currently taking place, Xuan Hao minimized his presence before sneaking past both the worms and the primeval fire ants.
Thud!
Soon finding himself directly in front of a large empty tunnel leading further into the underground cave network without having to fight any of the worms or the primeval fire ants...

Chapter 511: Eerie Underground Jungle
"This is really too easy…"
Muttering this to himself with a wry smile on his face as he looked towards the primeval fire ants and the worms fighting, Xuan Hao decided not to say anything more. After all, it could only be considered a good thing that he didn't have to join in on the chaotic fighting like the other human Domain Lords had been forced into.
Even if they were still getting closer and closer to the tunnel they had decided to escape through, Xuan Hao could easily see them taking too long. Ultimately resulting in them getting overwhelmed by either the primeval fire ants or the emerald demon spiders.
Looking over the battlefield one last time before leaving the chaotic underground cave, Xuan Hao had a feeling that the ones winning in the end would be the emerald demon spiders. The reason for this, was the fact that a seemingly endless tide of emerald demon spiders had been flowing into the cave since the start of the fight. Not showing any signs of stopping.
The primeval fire ants on the other hand were getting pushed back further and further by the emerald demon spiders. Not that they had fewer reinforcements coming in from a few dozen tunnels behind them, but because the over twenty worm Domain Lords had been enraged and started massacring them...
Boom!
Along with a loud explosion echoing through the cave, Xuan Hao watched a Peak Domain Lord Realm emerald demon spider successfully pierce through the head of one of the five remaining human Domain Lords. Leaving only four behind to fight off the emerald demon spiders.
All of a sudden, they came to complete halt. No longer able to progress forward anymore.
Seeing this, Xuan Hao understood that the emerald demon spiders would likely soon take control of the chaotic situation inside the cave.
Whoosh~
Not caring about what happened in the cave behind him, Xuan Hao quickly left before he also ended up getting caught like the human Domain Lords.
In the first place, the human Domain Lords life and death did not really matter to him. After all, they were complete strangers! There was no way he was going to risk his life saving them!
Especially when there was a Peak Domain Lord Realm emerald demon spider closely watching their every move. Looking for an opportunity to attack!
"Hm?"
Arriving at the cave on the other side of the tunnel only a few seconds later, Xuan Hao came to a stop once again. Not daring to rush forward after seeing that the formerly barren cave in front of him had become a miniature replica of the primeval jungle above.
How a barren cave only filled with rocks had suddenly turned into a lush jungle deep underground without any light or water source nearby was by far one of the most puzzling things he had seen so far, and a feeling kept telling him to turn around and run away from this weird eerie underground jungle.
Whatever happened back in the cave filled with primeval fire ants, emerald demon spiders and worms, was better than what might be hiding inside the jungle that had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
However, if he wanted to reach the ancient teleportation formation, he would have to go through the weird underground jungle…
"Hah…"This chapter was first shared on the Ñøvlß1n platform.
Letting out a sigh, Xuan Hao cautiously looked around himself before taking a step forward. Entering the eerie and dark jungle. Deciding against what his instincts told him…
Thump~
Just as Xuan Hao entered the weird jungle, a small figure appeared in the spot he had been standing a few moments ago, a pair of bright green eyes barely visible inside the dark underground cave.
Standing in complete silence, the small figure looked towards the eerie jungle Xuan Hao had just entered with a reluctant look clearly visible in the pair of bright green eyes.
"…"
As a few seconds passed, the sounds from the battle happening in the cave that Xuan Hao and the small figure had just come from began to grow closer.
Standing around just long enough to witness a large worm charging over from the other side of the tunnel. The small figure seemed to have come to a decision.
Whoosh~
Leaving the tunnel opening and entering the eerie jungle following after Xuan Hao.
Roar!
Following closely behind, a familiar large worm roared loudly before appearing at the entrance to the eerie jungle.
BOOM!
However, different from Xuan Hao and the small figure with the pair of bright green eyes. The worm violently forced itself to stop upon seeing the weird jungle. Directly destroying the tunnel entrance in the process.
R-roar…
Letting out a seemingly fearful roar, the worm didn't chase after Xuan Hao and instead dug into the ground before escaping. Clearly fearful of the eerie jungle.
…
There was no light, no animals, no demon beasts inside the jungle… Not even a single sound could be heard as Xuan Hao cautiously made his way through the eerie jungle. Prepared to attack at a moments notice, as a silvery light covered the sword firmly held in his hand.
Walking through the eerie jungle, Xuan Hao quickly realized that his divine sense seemed to have been rendered completely useless. Even seeing a few dozen meters around him was difficult. Let alone covering a third of the cave like he had been able to do inside the other underground caves…
BOOM!
Hearing a large explosion like sound behind him in the direction he had come from, Xuan Hao quickly increased his speed. After all, there was a high chance that the worms had given up fighting with the primeval fire ants after realizing he had escaped before following after him.
Along with him increasing his speed, Xuan Hao had unknowingly failed to notice the jungle trees a bit further away from him sway in an excited manner, as the large thick jungle vines curling around them and on the ground beneath them slowly beginning to move in his direction…

Chapter 512: Flying~
Whoosh~
Getting close enough to the unsuspecting Xuan Hao making his way through the eerie jungle, the thick jungle vines slithering along the ground and in the canopy above suddenly shot towards Xuan Hao. Rapidly closing in on him from all directions.
"Hmph!"
Noticing the jungle vines moving towards him from all directions the moment they entered the small area covered by his divine sense, Xuan Hao moved the sword in his hand and executed the Rain Sword Art defensively.
Swish!
Blocking any of the jungle vines before they managed to reach him-
Whoosh!
However, the jungle vines kept coming in greater and greater numbers. No matter how many he cut down, there seemed to be no end to them!
I have to destroy the source of these jungle vines…
As this thought crossed his mind, Xuan Hao began putting way more power and qi into his sword attacks-
BOOM!
Inevitably, this instantly caused a devastating level of destruction to his surroundings, as the power of a Seventh Stage Domain Lord was on full display!
Even if he was just using a simple sword art like the Rain Sword Art defensively, the power was not something that the surrounding eerie jungle could withstand. Soon enough, everything within a thousand-meter radius was destroyed.
The jungle vines also stopped their attack as Xuan Hao got some time to inspect his surroundings.
After the eerie jungle around him had been destroyed, Xuan Hao clearly felt the restriction on his divine sense lessen visibly. To the point that he managed to see the true appearance of the 'eerie jungle' that had suddenly covered the cave he was inside of…
"What in the world is this…"
Not able to describe what he was seeing after his divine sense penetrated a few meters into the ground beneath him, Xuan hao could only begin cursing to himself after feeling the terrifying aura excluded from a large creature just below him.
The creature in question was definitely above the Domain Lord Realm! Not to mention, it was far large than what his divine sense could cover. However, given what he could see, it would not be shocking if the creature was bigger than the cave of the eerie jungle!
The only good thing about this discovery, was the fact that he realized that the creature below him was in some sort of dormant state. Not waking up even after the destruction he had caused above ground...
"Hm? The jungle is recovering...?"
Fully focused on the large dormant creature below him, Xuan Hao suddenly noticed that the jungle around him was rapidly growing back during the short moment he had been looking away.
At this point in time, the thousand meters of space between him and the jungle had already been reduced to nothing more than a hundred meters space!
Seeing this, Xuan Hao could not help frowning. No matter how he looked at it, the eerie jungle was almost certainly related to the large dormant creature below him. If he continued to damage it, wouldn't he end up risking waking up the creature below him…
Not only that, but the jungle veins inside the regrown part of the jungle he had just destroyed, was way stronger than the ones he had encountered just a moment ago. At most, there had been two or three comparable to the Nascent Soul Realm, while the majority had been around the Core Formation Realm and the Foundation Establishment Realm in strength.N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapter's release on N0v3l--B1n.
The new, thicker, and stronger jungle veins on the other hand… Were far stronger!
From what he could tell, at least one in five of them had already reached a level comparable to the Nascent Soul Realm!
The number of Nascent Soul Realm jungle veins might not sound like anything dangerous. Especially considering that Xuan Hao had reached the Seventh Stage of the Domain Lord Realm, But… There were more than ten thousand jungle veins in the eerie jungle all around him!
Dealing with them while his domains were severely limited and having to worry about accidently waking up whatever creature was dormant below him; Xuan Hao really just wanted to leave and not have to deal with such a troublesome situation.
New jungle trees and foliage sprouting up from the ground seemingly out of thin air.
"Hah…"
Letting out a sigh as the eerie jungle slowly grew closer and closer all around him, Xuan Hao fastened his grip around his sword before looking in the direction of the tunnel leading towards the ancient teleportation formation was located.
His best option was to get out before he ended waking up the dormant creature below him or got overwhelmed by the increasingly strong jungle veins all around him.
Remembering some of the things in the higher levels of the Drifting Cloud Steps, Xuan Hao realized that he could have easily gotten out of his current situation. Especially a part that allowed him to fly without the use of his domain…
I really wish I spend more time learning the Drifting Cloud Steps…
Shaking his head as he thought about the only good movement technique he had learnt, Xuan Hao decided to properly master the technique if he managed to get out of his current situation.
No matter what, one of the most important things for a cultivator, was their ability to run away if things got too dangerous. Something he had neglected for far too long!
Wait… My sword intent fused together with my domain, if I cover my sword with it like in the past, can't I use it to fly…?
Freezing for a short moment as this thought appeared, Xuan Hao took out the sword he had used to fly in the past from his interspatial ring and threw it on the ground before stepping on top of it.
Whoosh~
"…"
Flying into the air without any difficulty, Xuan Hao did not know what to say. Ever since reaching the Domain Lord Realm, he had only ever used his domain to fly.
In the process, he had forgotten the fact that he could use his sword intent, or now sword domain, to cover his sword and use it to fly!
