From the shockwave alone, Xuan Hao could tell that someone at the later stages of the Domain Lord Realm had just launched an all-out attack towards the eerie jungle.

Are they trying to wake up that thing…?

Not daring to stay any longer after seeing how crazy either the emerald demon spiders or primeval fire ants had gotten, Xuan Hao quickly escaped through the tunnel behind him on foot to not waste his remaining qi. Increasing his speed as much as he could.

No matter what, he had to get out before the creature dormant below the eerie jungle woke up!

Knowing that such an opportunity was not likely to appear again, he had grabbed his two barely alive brothers and rushed towards the tunnel before escaping with them. Not looking back to see how the fight between the emerald demon spiders and the worms was playing out.

Only a few minutes had passed since then and they had only barely recovered a small amount of qi. Fighting at this point in time was pretty much impossible, as he had used almost all of his qi to increase his speed while carrying his two brothers to safety.

Even if they had not recovered enough yet, they couldn't just stay still and hope that the emerald demon spiders had forgotten about them.

The most likely reason why they had not followed after them, was the worms that had appeared and saved their lives.

Chapter 514: Ancient Teleportation Formation!

Entering the cave with the ancient teleportation formation, Xuan Hao was relieved upon realizing that nothing had changed during the time he had left. No primeval fire ant nest had appeared covering the entire cave and no dormant creature above the Domain Lord Realm had suddenly shown up below the surface!

Xuan Hao even made sure to check for the last one the moment he entered the cave just in case he really was unlucky enough to encounter such a situation again.

"Finally…"

Seeing the ancient teleportation formation appear in front of him without any signs of damage after travelling for only a few short seconds, Xuan Hao felt extremely relieved knowing that nothing had happened to the ancient teleportation formation during the short period of time he had left.

To be honest, given what he had encountered on his way back through the now active underground cave network, Xuan Hao had expected to also encounter something in the cave of the ancient teleportation formation.

However, he was not at all disappointed after realizing that nothing had changed and was overall just happy about the fact that he would be able to leave the cave without having to risk his life...

The things he had seen in what had essentially only been a little over an hour, was more than enough to make him want to go back to the Shattered Star Peak and destroy the ancient teleportation formation on that side. Making sure that none of the things from the primeval jungles side could make it through to the other side.

After all, be it primeval fire ants, emerald demon spiders or the dormant creature above the Domain Lord Realm, Xuan Hao did not want any of them to pass through the ancient teleportation formation and appear on the Shattered Star Peak.

Having any of those three appear inside the territory of the Flying Sword Sect, was nothing short of a sect destroying disaster to the current Flying Sword Sect! Even Xuan Hao had no confidence in dealing with any of them at his current realm…

Before he even had any time to inspect the other party, the owner of the pair of bright green eyes jumped past him and entered the ancient teleportation formation.

Not intending to let anything from the primeval jungle run free inside what was essentially his sect's territory, Xuan hao rushed back through the ancient teleportation formation. Intending to follow the creature that had just passed through it.

Instantly covering the mountain that the valley of the Half Spirit Race was inside of before covering all of the Shattered Star Peaks and the growing town at the base of the Shattered Star peaks, until finally spreading out several kilometers in all directions around the Shattered Star Peak.

Outside of the top of the Second and Main Star Peak. Everything within a 10-kilometre radius of the Shattered Star Peaks became visible to him!

"Hm?"

Not seeing the owner of the pair of bright green eyes even after this, Xuan Hao could not help frowning as he narrowed his eyes and began a more thorough inspection of his surroundings.

The time frame between him and the owner of the pair of bright green eyes entering the ancient teleportation formation was less than a second. There was no way for the other party to escape the range of his divine sense in this short amount of time!

To be honest, he had not expected that someone would show up during the short few seconds it had taken for him to go back.

Thinking along this line, Xuan Hao realized that the other party might have been following him for some time…

Letting out a sigh upon realizing this, Xuan Hao could only lament over the fact that he had been too slow to react back when he had returned through the ancient teleportation formation to hide it. Now, all he could do was search for the other party and hope he would be able to find the owner of the pair of bright green eyes.

Even if he wanted to continue searching, he already understood that he wouldn't be able to find the other party.

All he could do now, was hope that the other party would not cause any destruction in the territory of the Flying Sword Sect in fear of the Sky Empire. Hopefully, the other party would just leave the Flying Sword Sect's territory and head for somewhere different.

Chapter 515: Chu Yang's Journey... On the Right Path...

Hiding the ancient teleportation formation on the side of the primeval forest to the best of his abilities, Xuan Hao returned back to the valley once again before finding the grand elder of the Half Spirit Race.

After informing him about some of the dangers he had encountered on the other side of the ancient teleportation formation, Xuan Hao easily managed to convince the grand elder to not enter the ancient teleportation formation and to do his best in preventing his people from entering it as well.

In the end, it had been far easier to convince the grand elder than he had first expected. The main reason for this, was that according to the grand elder, his people didn't use the ancient teleportation formation for anything other than catching a few weaker demon beasts for their coming-of-age ceremony.

Outside of that, the ancient teleportation formation was more of nuisance, as some demon beasts managed to get through it from time to time and attack their small town.

The short conversation with the grand elder only lasted for a short moment and Xuan Hao soon left the small valley of the Half Spirits before making his way back towards the Flying Sword Sect.

At the same time Xuan Hao began making his way back towards the Flying Sword Sect, Chu Yang who had been wandering in the direction that the people of the village had pointed him towards for the last few hours.

"This… Does not look like the Shattered Star Peaks…"

Looking over at the other side of the ravine suddenly blocking his path forward, Chu Yang had a feeling that he was not going in the direction of the Shattered Star Peaks…

Along with what he assumed to be the leaders of both sides clashing, the battle taking place in front of him became even more intense.

After all, the people fighting on the green pasture below him were all relatively strong. "You must be a traveller from one of the other regions to not know about them. After all, they are extremely famous!"

Chapter 516: Finely Decorated Dinner Plate!

Watching how the tall stranger that had suddenly appeared beside him slowly became more and more anxious watching the fight taking place below, Chu Yang could not help growing a bit curious about how the tall stranger was related to the loosing Mapai Sect.

Shaking his head as he thought about all of this, Chu Yang moved his gaze away from the battle and the tall stranger. Avoiding the battlefield before resuming his journey towards the Shattered Star Peaks once again.

Walking for a little over an hour, Chu Yang could not help frowning as he suddenly sensed a battle up ahead. Even though the battle should only be between two groups of Foundation Establishment Realm cultivators, it was still enough to make Chu Yang feel uncomfortable.

The reason why he felt uncomfortable, was not because of the battle up ahead, but because he had already encountered more than a dozen such small battle over the past hour!

From what he remembered; the Flying Sword Sect's territory should not have so many fights taking place inside of it!

A single battle between two sects was something rather normal but encountering so many battles and all of them between either a group of Foundation Establishment cultivators or battles between two Core Formation Realm Experts, was not something normal!

Even Chu Yang, who had not managed to spend much time outside the Flying Sword Sect or the Black Rose Sect when he was still part of it. Understood that there should not be so many battles all over the place. Especially considering the fact that he should be getting closer to the Shattered Star Peaks, a place that had become one of the most important areas for the Flying Sword Sect over the past month!

"Did I perhaps take a wrong turn again…?"

Muttering this to himself as he realized he might have ended up in a place outside the Flying Sword Sect's territory, Chu Yang could not help frowning as he remembered that his master had only allowed him to venture inside the territory of the Flying Sword Sect or the Spring Flower Sect!

If his master found out that he had left the territory of the Flying Sword Sect… Well… He did not really have any idea what would happen if his master found out…

Thinking this to himself as he looked over the disc shaped object in his hand, Chu Yang began injecting his qi into it. Hoping to see if that would do something.

Along with qi being injected into it, Chu Yang had no time to say anything, as he suddenly saw a bright light cover his body before feeling a sense of weightlessness as his vision was overwhelmed by the light. Preventing him from seeing anything.

"W-what happened…?"

Not knowing what had just happened, as he had been blinded by the bright light from the disc as it covered his entire body, Chu Yang could only open his mouth in amazement upon discovering that he was no longer in the place where the two groups of Foundation Establishment Realm cultivators had been fighting!

The ancient relic had actually transported him somewhere after he injected qi into it!

Thinking about this, Chu Yang looked down on the ancient relic he had taken away. Only to discover that it had already begun disintegrating in his hands. Only a few seconds later. Nothing more than dust was left of the ancient relic that the two groups of Foundation Establishment Realm cultivators had been fighting for.

Soon enough, a large wolf like demon beast easily the size of a small hill appeared on top one of the mountains of the mountain range in distance, as it roared loudly towards the heavens.

RUMBLE! BOOM!

ROOOAR!

Following the appearance and roar of the large wolf demon beast, the sky suddenly darkened as a terrifying bolt of lightning descended towards the wolf demon beast. Instantly causing it to howl in pain as tried its best to resist the terrifying lighting.

BOOM BOOM BOOM!

Before long, Chu Yang watched the wolf demon beast resit the lighting from above, as parts of the lighting broke of and fell into its surroundings. Instantly reducing a few nearby mountains to dust.

BOOM!

Not only that, but part of the terrifying lighting also landed right next to Chu Yang. Erasing small hill next to the place he was standing and at the same time almost killing him.

I have to get out of here!

Waking up from his seemingly frozen state after a small part of the lightning landed right next to him, Chu Yang didn't dare watch the wolf demon beast any longer.

Directly escaping in the opposite direction as quickly as he could.

Not caring about where he went, as long as he managed to get away from the terrifying lighting and wolf demon beast that seemed to have been the reason for the terrifying lighting showing up.

Running as quickly as he could for the next few hours, Chu Yang did not even manage to catch a glimpse of another human being. The same could be said for demon beasts, as it seemed like every living being had hidden away after discovering the large wolf… Not too surprising given how terrifying the wolf demon beast and the lightning was!

Arriving at a small pine forest, Chu Yang exhaustedly collapsed on the ground beneath a large pine tree. Not able to keep running any longer, as all the qi inside his dantian had pretty much been emptied out by him during his escape.

"Hah…"

Taking a deep breath as he calmed down, Chu Yang sat up in a lotus position before beginning to draw in qi from his surroundings to hasten his qi recovery.

By the time he opened his eyes, the sky had already turned completely dark, and a few demon beasts had appeared in the pine forest. Luckily, they were just in the Qi Condensation Realm and had been too scared by his Core Formation Realm aura to attack him.

Standing up, Chu Yang's movement instantly scared some of the more curious demon beasts away, as they had been slowly beginning to move closer to him after seeing him not moving for a long time.

"Sure… We won't enter another den of Core Formation Realm wolves… Will we?"

"You! It was only one- two times!"

Suddenly hearing loud voices from the distance approaching, Chu Yang instantly rushed towards the origin of the voices.

"Greetings fellow cultivators!"

Realizing that the origin of the two voices were two humans who were both in the Core Formation Realm, Chu Yang decided to politely greet the two of them.

After all, who knew how long it would take for him to get back to the Flying Sword Sect if the two decided to not help him out?

Listening from the side as the person known as Gui Hu tried his best to start an argument with Chen Yang, Chu Yang could not help letting out a sigh as he realized he had encountered a quite unique person…

Smiling wryly as this thought passed through his mind, Chu Yang decided to make him aware of the fact that they were not alone.

Glaring towards the one going by the name of Gui Hu as he said this, Chu Yang could not stop a small frown from appearing on his face.

So, you didn't forget about me… Did you expect me to leave or something?!

Not knowing what to say after hearing Chu Yang's response, Gui Hu suddenly seemed to realize something as he cautiously looked towards Chu Yang.

What in the world is wrong with this guy?

"Hah… Might I ask what fellow Daoist is here for? The Burning Mountain Range has been quite dangerous over the past few weeks, as many of the stronger demon beasts from the inner regions have appeared in the outer regions of the Burning Mountain Range. Both of us are from the Explorer Union."

Letting out a sigh as he said this while casting a critical look towards his companion, Chen Yang asked Chu Yang politely.

"The Explorer Union!? Actually, I got lost while escaping from a powerful demon beast and haven't been able find my way back out again…"

Hearing that the two were from the Explorer Union, Chu Yang felt a wave of relief wash over him.

The reason for this was rather simple, as the Explorer Union had a great reputation for helping cultivators get out of any of the places they were in the process of exploring. The Burning Mountain Range just so happened to be one such location!

Chapter 518: Chen Yang and Gui Hu

"You got lost? Hm… Indeed, quite understandable. Especially considering how large the Burning Mountain Range is and just how many different places it connects to. Want to follow us back out?"

Having heard that Chu Yang was lost, Chen Yang directly asked if he wanted to follow them back out of the Burning Mountain Range.

"Wha- You can't just trust a complete stranger like that! What if he has any bad intentions!?"

Unlike Chen Yang, his companion Gui Hu was not at all happy when he heard the suggestion. Immediately having stepped forward to protest it.

How big was the difference between someone close to the Peak of the Core Formation Realm and someone who had just broken through and reached the First Stage of the Core Formation Realm?

Rolling his eyes upon hearing what Gui Hu said, Chen Yang could not help feeling that his companion was a little too cautious about someone who had only reached the First Stage of the Core Formation Realm.

"And what is he going to do? He is only at the First Stage of the Core Formation Realm, both of us are already close to the Peak of the Core Formation Realm! Do you perhaps think you would lose?"

Even if Chu Yang launched a sneak attack on them, Cheng Yang was confident that he would easily be able to deal with the other party if that happened. After all, it was not like he was going to let his guard down…

Having made his way back to the Flying Sword Sect without seeing a single sign of the creature that had made it through the ancient teleportation formation, Xuan Hao felt a bit surprised when he suddenly felt the aura of an unfamiliar Nascent Soul Realm Expert inside the sect

"Looks like someone new appeared… Perhaps someone form the Spring Flower Sect?"

Feeling curious about the Nascent Soul Realm Expert that had suddenly appeared, Xuan Hao used his divine sense to investigate without anyone noticing.

Soon enough, Xuan Hao saw the familiar figure of Elder Song standing in front of an elegant woman angrily staring at him with a beautifully decorated fan covering half her face as she looked like she was about to attack Elder Song at any moment.

Chapter 519: Youngest Disciple talks too much...

"M-master… Are you sure giving me something this precious!?"

"Don't mind it, It's a gift! Weren't you quite interested in blacksmithing? I just happened to pick up a few blueprints during my time away from the sect and thought it would be suitable to giv-"

Before he even managed to finish his sentence, Xuan Hao was slightly taken aback by just how happy his little disciple seemed to be with the three blacksmithing blueprints.

"Are they really that special…? What are the blueprints for?"

Feeling a bit curious about the three blacksmithing blueprints and what they would be used to create, Xuan Hao could not help asking Bai Ning, as he was just about to happily resume reading through one of them again.

"Yes! All of them are blueprints way above my current level when it comes to blacksmithing, and they will be really helpful in helping me increase my understanding when it comes to blacksmithing. Not only that, but I believe that the blueprints might even be at the Master Realm. One of them might even be above the Master Realm! Sadly, I have no way to be sure with my current realm...

As for what they are used to make… One of them is a special artifact used to launch a deadly attack of some sort, while another is a defensive artifact. The last one… I have no clue about it, I suspect that it might be above the Master Realm. For it to be so difficult to discern even the blueprint of it. Maybe with more time I will be able to understand it!"

Beginning to talk with an excited expression on his face the moment he heard his master ask about the blacksmithing blueprints, Bai Ning fully displayed his love for blacksmithing. Staring at each other for a short moment as Bai Ning continued talking, Xuan Hao suddenly saw Zhi Ruo nod her head in understanding before disappearing into the pavilion.

With no one able to hear him, Xuan Hao could only resign himself to his fate, as he listened to Bai Ning's extensive and seemingly never-ending explanation of the two ancient blacksmithing blueprints.

Only after close to half an hour had passed did Xuan Hao finally manage to put an end to his little disciple, as both of them soon entered the pavilion. Following which Xuan Hao spend the rest of the day training Bai Ning.

Back in the Burning Mountain Range, Chu Yang was still making his way out together with the two members of the Explorer Union that he had chanced upon. The sky above them was covered in a thick layer of clouds, as it wa getting darker and darker. Only a few stars could be seen peeking through the thick layer of clouds covering the darkening sky.

"So… I was wondering what kingdom bordering the Burning Mountain Range we are heading to…"

Breaking the silence that had slowly descended upon the group of three after they had started their journey out of the Burning Mountain Range together, Chu Yang walked a bit closer to Chen Yang as he asked this.

Compared to Gui Hu, who was still giving him a suspicious look every now and then, Chu Yang felt way more comfortable talking with Chen Yang. Whether this was because their relatively similar name or his calm bearing compared to his companion, Chu Yang had no idea. At the very least, it had ended up causing him to ask Chen Yang instead of Gui Hu…

"What kingdom we would end up in after leaving the Burning Mountain Range? Hm… If I'm not wrong, the area should not be under the governance of any kingdom. On the contrary, it's ended up becoming a quite chaotic place over the last year or so…

Feeling relieved by getting a confirmation that it was indeed the former territory of the Raging Flame Sect, Chu Yang soon picked up on the other part of what Chen Yang had said.

"What do you mean the other side of the Burning Mountain Range? Did you perhaps think I was from the Onyx Empire?"

Remembering that the Onyx Empire was supposed to be located on the other side of the Burning Mountain Range, Chu Yang curiously looked over towards Chen Yang. Wanting to find out what he had meant with his earlier words.

"Hah… Well... The place you came from does not lead towards the Onyx Empire, but the sea… Very few humans live there, be they demonic cultivators, normal cultivators, mortals. Even the different religions avoid the areas close to the sea.

The few people who live in the area close to the sea are either weak mortals or those looking for a chance to breach through the eternal storm surrounding our continent. Not roaring at them like most other demon beasts would do in a similar situation, the cougar demon beast instead began growling at them threateningly.

"Everyone, lower your weapons for now, it doesn't look like it will attack…"

Clearly not wanting to fight the cougar that had suddenly appeared, Chen Yang quickly instructed both Chu Yang and Gui Hu to lower their weapons. Not something they disagreed with. After all, the cougar demon beast was Half a step into the Nascent Soul Realm!

As all three of them lowered their weapons, the cougar demon beast seemed to calm down before cautiously moving further up the mountain, a few cute cougar cubs could be seen closely following behind it.

Chapter 520: Fog Stalker and Lava Eaters~

Where did this fog come from…?

Having entered the valley just after their encounter with the cougar, Chu Yang could not help frowning to himself as a dense fog had suddenly appeared out of nowhere around them after entering the valley crammed in between several large mountains.

Before entering the valley, Chu Yang could clearly remember that there was no fog present. Only when they entered, did this fog appear…

No matter what it was, Chu Yang had a feeling that the fog was not the sign of anything good.

With this in mind, Chu Yang tightly gripped his spear. Prepared in case some sort of demon beast hidden inside the thick fog decided to launch a sneak attack.

Chen Yang and Gui Hu also prepared themselves as they scanned their surroundings in a similar manner as Chu Yang.

Chen Yang frowning more and more as he looked around himself.

"We have to be careful; I think we walked into the domain of a fog stalker…"

Displaying the fact that he was far more knowledgeable about the demon beasts of the Burning Mountain Range than him, Chen Yang had already determined their current situation to some extent after a few seconds.

What a fog stalker was, he had no idea, but Chu Yang was certain that it was not some weak demon beast given how serious Chen Yang and Gui Hu looked.

Just as he was thinking about the fog stalker mentioned by Chen Yang, Chu Yang felt something moving towards him from his left, as he quickly moved his spear to block it.

The sound reverberated through the surroundings, as Chu Yang barely managed to see a pair of sharp claws hit his spear before disappearing into the thick fog surrounding them.

The strength behind the short attack was far more than he had expected, and Chu Yang felt both his hands tremble violently, as he almost lost the grip of his spear.

Even if he had no time to determine the cultivation realm of the attacker, he was certain that it was far stronger than him!

"Looks like it is indeed a fog stalker… We have to get out of here as quickly as possible! Fighting a fog stalker in the fog is simply suicide!"

Time passed, a few days after having left the valley, Chu Yang was still making his way through the Burning Mountain Range together with Chen Yang and Gui Hu from the Explorer Union. At this point in time, Chu Yang became more and more amazed at the sheer scale of the Burning Mountain Range.

Other than their earlier encounter with the cougar while making their way over one of the countless mountains that made up the Burning Mountain Range and the fog stalker in the valley, the group of three didn't encounter any other powerful demon beasts along the way.

Hearing a loud rumbling sound coming from a mountain not too far away, Chu Yang could not help sighing in amazement upon witnessing large amounts of lava suddenly gush out from several large cave-like entrances at the top of the mountain before flowing down towards the base of the mountain where several unique grey coloured rock demon beasts were happily waiting.

As the lava reached the base of the mountain, these weird demon beasts quickly worked together to dig a large hole for the lava to flow into-

Watching these unique demon beasts' bath with great enthusiasm, Chu Yang finally understood why it was called the Burning Mountain Range, as these unique demon beasts flung the lava all around them. Launching some of it several kilometers away where it set fire to anything it touched.

"He probably just got unlucky and didn't meet any, we didn't meet any either on our way inside. Remember?"

Luckily, Chen Yang came to his assistance before Gui Hu got to asking again.

"By the way, what are the lava eater demon beasts?"

Wanting to make sure that Gui Hu didn't get a chance to ask him something after Chen Yang had finished speaking, Chu Yang quickly asked Cheng Yang.

"What are the lava eater demon beasts? Well… Honestly, I don't really have much of a clue about them myself. All the information about them in our branch only mentions that the lava eaters have something to do with the Burning Mountain Range getting its name and the fact that they consume lava… Not eating anything other than lava!"

Thinking about Chu Yang's question for a short moment before he answered, Chen Yang seemed to suddenly enter a state of deep thought as he tried to recall more information about the lava eater demon beasts.

"If I'm not wrong, there was also something about young lava eaters barely on the Qi Condensation Realm easily consuming lava without any side effects. Other than that, parts of a lava eater demon beast's body can be used for some special potions that increases one's resistance to fire. Maybe there is something other than that, but this is at least what I can remember about the lava eater demon beasts..."

Chapter 521 Young Priest and Su Wuhan's Worries

On top of a large flying ship rapidly moving through the air, a young priest was nervously making his way down a large exquisitely decorated corridor leading towards a large wooden door made from an ancient spiritual tree. Several holy symbols were carved into this door. Giving it an ancient and divine presence.

Seeing this door, the young priest became even more nervous, as he understood just how important the person on the other side of the door was.

Just one wrong move and he might lose his little life!

Originally, it had not been him who should inform the exalted personage behind the door, but he had ended up loosing a bet with a friend and was promptly forced down the long and exquisitely decorated corridor stretching through the entire hull of the flying ship before he had any chance to say anything!

Ah! If I just didn't lose the bet from earlier…

Remembering how he had ended up in his current situation, the young priest could not help shaking his head filled with regret as he arrived in front of the large wooden door.

"Your Excellency, we are going to arrive at the border of the Azure Sky Kingdom within the next half hour. "

Gently knocking on the door, the young priest used all his remaining courage to say this before anxiously finding a place to wait in front of the large wooden door for a response.

Entering the Flame Mountain City together with Chen Yang, Chu Yang followed him to the Explorer Union's branch inside the city before both of them parted ways.

Given that he had already helped him out of the Burning Mountain Range, there was really no reason for Chen Yang to accompany him any longer, Chu Yang also understood this and didn't say anything as Chen Yang disappeared inside the Explorer Union's branch located at the core of the Flame Mountain City.

Standing around the entrance to the Explorer Union's branch, Chu Yang began thinking about what to do next. After all, his plans of going to the famous demon beast forest next to the Shattered Star Peaks was not going to happen and he now had to get back to the Flying Sword Sect's territory againâ

Looking towards the entrance of the Explorer Union's branch directly in front of him, Chu Yang could not help narrowing his eyes upon noticing how many different people were entering and leaving the branch with every minute going by.

Maybe I can join the Explorer Union and see if there is any caravan or something similar heading towards the Flying Sword Sect's territoryâ

As this thought appeared, Chu Yang could not help feeling that it was a good choice to find a caravan heading towards somewhere inside his sect's territory. This way, he would not have to worry about getting lost on his way back!

As for joining the Explorer Union, while being a part of the Flying Sword Sect? There was no problem with this, as he would just become a normal explorer. An external member of the Explorer Union and not truly part of the Explorer Union.

Many of the Flying Sword Sect disciples he had talked with back in the sect had already done this, as it would allow them to not only sell the things they gathered when out adventuring without any risk, but also because it allowed them accesses to a certain amount of knowledge about their surroundings kept by the Explorer Union.

This was normally not that useful when the disciples were still inside the Flying Sword Sect's territory, as the branches set up by the Flying Sword Sect were by far better than the branches of the Explorer Union and the knowledge, they could get their hands on there would be far better.

However, when they adventured outside the territory of the Flying Sword Sect, it was crucial to be a member of the Explorer Union. Not only have access to the knowledge of the different powers that existed in the place they chose to adventure, but also the dangerous places that should be avoided.

For now, I should become a member of the Explorer Union and see if there is any missions about protecting caravans heading to somewhere inside the Flying Sword Sect's territory!

Having decided on what to do, Chu Yang took a step forward and entered the Explorer Union branch.

Soon finding himself inside a large chaotic environment, with different people dashing all around the place.

Even having seen all the people constantly entering and leaving the branch, Chu Yang still felt taken aback by the sheer number of people that had managed to squeeze inside the branch building.

"Hey! Don't stand in the way!"

Still feeling taken aback by how cramped it was inside the branch building, Chu Yang didn't register the voice coming from behind him as he unconsciously answered before feeling a large burly man along with three other similarly burly men move in front of him before making their way towards a counter with a long queue of similarly burly men in front of it.

Recovering from the shock of the busy scene in front of him, Chu Yang quickly scanned the different counters before finally spotting the one for registering that he was looking for. Luckily, the line in front of it was nowhere near any of the other counters, as it only had two young people around his own age nervously waiting, while another was getting in the process of becoming a member of the Explorer Union.

The cultivation of the three youths was only around the middle stages of the Qi Condensation Realm. Quite good given their ageâ

Not thinking too much about the three youths, Chu Yang looked around himself one last time before making his way towards the counter to register himself and officially become an external member of the Explorer Union.

Quietly waiting in line before it was finally his turn, Chu Yang quickly went through the registration process before coming to a stop.

"You can't payâ?"

Not able to say anything when faced with the stern look of the middle-aged woman behind the counter, Chu Yang could only remain quiet.

Back then, he had focused all his attention on his surroundings to counter the attacks of the fog stalker, he might have ended up losing his spirit stones during that time, as they had just been hanging loosely in a small leather pouch attached close to the top of his spearâ

Letting out a sigh as he realized this, Chu Yang could not stop a wry smile from appearing on his face. Awkwardly looking at the woman behind the counter.

"To think even someone at the Core Formation Realm can't pay up such a small sumâ You can come back when you gathered up the required spirit stones!"

Giving him a not so friendly glare after finding out that he couldn't pay the small fee required. The woman behind the counter did not care about his cultivation realm as she directly told him to leave.

A Core Formation Realm might be powerful when compared to the people currently inside the branch, but when taking the entire Explorer Union into account, a Core Formation Realm Expert was nothing. Even his age didn't matter, as the woman behind the counter shooed him away.

Faced with such a situation for probably the first time in his life, Chu Yang had no idea how to respond, as he could only awkwardly turn around to leave.

Stepping outside again without having accomplished anything, Chu Yang had no idea what to do next.

Not only was he far away from the Flying Sword Sect and its territory, but he was also broke!

Chu Yang felt extremely curious about the person inside the flying ship.

Would it be some important young genius or a terrifying expert?

In his eyes, just being able to get back to the territory of the Flying Sword Sect again was more than enough for him!

Even if his job was to help protect the luxurious carriage currently located in the middle of a small caravan, it was mostly decided to be done in shifts. Having two people at the Core Formation constantly around the luxurious carriage, while the others would relax as they made their way towards the Small River Town.

As luck would have it, Chu Yang was not among the two Core Formation watching over the luxurious carriage and he had decided to relax in one of the carriages following behind.

"Hahâ" Letting out a sigh as he thought about this, Chu Yang could not help feeling that his trip outside the sect had been a complete failure so far. Not to mention visiting a famous place for training and opportunities to increase his cultivation realm, he had spent all of his time so far travelling!

At least he should be able to do something more exciting after returning to his sect's territory. Maybe he would finally be able to visit one of the famous demon beast forest or ruins after returningâ

Suddenly realizing that the caravan consisting of around a dozen or so carriages had come to a stop, Chu Yang could not help frowning as he jumped off the carriage he had been sitting in since the start of the journey and began moving towards the front to check out what had happened.

Even if he just wanted to stay inside the carriage and slack off during the journey to the Small River Town, he at the very least had to show his face whenever something happened.

With this in mind, Chu Yang quickly made his way to the front of the caravan to see what was happening. Not too worried about the situation, as he didn't hear any sound of fighting up ahead.

If there really was a fight taking place, he would first of all not rush forward and would instead try to find out just how strong the opponent was before determining whether to help out or escape in case the opponent was too strongâ

"We can just move around, there is no reason for us to get involved in whatever is happening over there!"

Arriving at the front of the caravan, Chu Yang ignored the group of people that had gathered to discuss among themselves, as he instead focused his attention on the thing that had caused the caravan to come to a stop.

Muttering this to himself as he gazed towards the battlefield that had formed just in front of him, Chu Yang could not help recalling just how many such battles he had encountered after having left the territory of his sect.

The territory that had once been under the Raging Flame Sect had truly ended up chaotic after the Raging Flame Sect had been destroyedâ Just the battle taking place in front of him involved several thousand different cultivators, with no small number of Core Formation Realm Experts present!

Among one of the two forces on the battlefield, Chu Yang even managed to spot a few familiar figures, some belonging to the Simen Sect that he had seen after having entered the chaotic land, while a few others belonged to the Mapai Sect that they had been fighting against.

The Core Formation Realm Expert that he had chatted with back then was also present on the battlefield, as he worked together with the still injured leader of the Mapai Sect and several other forces to fight against the Simen Sect and the forces that had joined together with them.

"Looks like I won't be able to avoid joining the fight unless I run awayâ" Shaking his head as he almost whispered this to himself, Chu Yang could only prepare for the inevitable battle he would be forced to join.

After all, he still needed someone to help him get back to his sect's territory and he highly doubted that the owner of the luxurious carriage at the centre of the caravan wanted to join the fight taking place in front of them.

The main reason why he thought this, was because of what he had heard the servant mutter to himself before deciding that they would be moving along the edges of the chaotic battlefieldâ

Chapter 533: Massive Spirit Stone

Cautiously observing the battle taking place a short distance away from him, Chu Yang made sure that he was ready in case an attack happened to fly his way. However, from the looks of it, the two groups fighting each other on the chaotic battlefield did not seem too keen on accidently involving them in their fight.

The main reason for this, was most likely the fact that there were around five Core Formation Realm Experts in total including himself defending the caravanâ If they ended up joining either of the two sides in the battle, it would inevitably tilt the scale of the battle in the favour of that side!

Because of this, the people fighting close to the edge understood that it was best not to attack them, as they tried their best to avoid the caravan whenever they saw it.

This was of course a welcome surprise in Chu Yang's eyes, as he didn't want to join in on the fight between the two sects. Especially given the fact that he had already avoided joining the fight once before, when it was still relatively small scale compared to the chaotic brawl it had evolved into at this point in timeâ

Now, his only real worry, was the people in the caravan who had talked about wanting to join in on the fight and help out either the Simen Sect or the Mapai Sect-

Hearing a shout suddenly come from one of these people, Chu Yang felt that something bad was about to happen, as he looked in the direction that the person who had called out was pointing in.

In the middle of the chaotic battlefield, a weird oversized spirt stone could barely be seen half submerged in the ground from their current position. Not only that, but several of the Core Formation Realm Experts nearby were trying their best to dig out the massive spirt stone, while at the same time trying to prevent the other side from doing the same.

In the end, the side that was winning at the moment tried freeing the massive spirit stone from the ground, while the losing side tried their best in preventing the massive spirit stone from getting out of the groundâ

Looking at all of this, Chu Yang not only realized just how unreliable the people from the Explorer Union was when it came to completing the escort missionâ But also recognized that the reason why so many people had gathered was not to support the Simen Sect or Mapai Sect but was instead to fight for the massive spirit stone.

Indeed, the two small sects influence would be a bit too much if they had managed to cause such a huge fight all by themselves. While they did not end up getting dragged into a fight during this period of time, the overall strength of the caravan had been lowered by a large degree, as they had ended up losing around five Core Formation Realm Experts and over a hundred cultivators in the Foundation Establishment Realm. Most of which had reached the middle to later stages of the realm.

From an outsider's perspective, the large caravan had only a single Core Formation Realm Expert and a few people at the Foundation Establishment and Qi Condensation Realm.

Although this level of strength was enough to intimidate some of the weaker bandit groups looking for someone to rob, it was a prime target for any of the stronger bandit groups that had grown rapidly by robbing some weaker sects and family clans following the destruction of the Raging Flame Sect.

At this moment, there was only two Core Formation Realm Experts defending the caravan, him, and the servant inside the luxurious carriage below him.

Even if they could deal with the two Core Formation Realm bandits charging over, Chu Yang was not so certain that they would also be able to stop the rest of the bandits from massacring the rest of the guards.

Almost spitting out a mouthful of blood upon seeing several hundred bandits at least having reached the Foundation Establishment Realm suddenly turn around and launch all kind of different colourful attacks in his direction, the servant quickly went on the defensive as he protected himself against the onslaught of attacks.

Even if they had only reached the Foundation Establishment Realm and were far weaker than someone in the Core Formation Realm. The number of attacks were more than enough to make up for the difference in realm, as the servant was forced to go on the defensive.

Along with the attacks landing, the leader of the bandits quickly managed to fall back to his brothers before joining them in attacking the servant.

The servant who had thought he would have a relatively easy time dealing with the bandit leader, suddenly found himself trying his best to defend against the countless attacks launched towards him from both the Foundation Establishment Realm bandits and the bandit leader himself!

Watching as the Core Formation Realm bandit was getting closer and closer, Chu Yang quickly realized that it seemed like the other party did not care about the fact that the other bandits were no longer following behind him.

At least that, or he simply hadn't noticed it and had all his attention focused on the caravan.

However, considering the fact that the other party was someone in the Core Formation Realm, Chu Yang doubted this. After all, with his strength, the bandit should have been able to notice if close to two hundred bandits suddenly stopped following behind him before beginning to fight a second later.

Looking at the rapidly approaching bandit, Chu Yan tightened his grip around the handle of his spear as he prepared for the inevitable battle as he began to closely observe his opponent.

Observing the bandit as he got closer, Chu Yang could not help frowning upon feeling the strong presence of the other party. Even from a distance, Chu Yang realized that the other party was stronger than him. Reaching the Fourth Stage of the Core Formation Realm!

As the fight between Chu Yang and the bandit continued on for a few minutes, the bandit seemed to have finally realized that no one other than himself had showed up so far.

"Where in the world is everyone!? Did those cowards run awayâ?" Muttering this to himself as he was gaining the upper hand in his fight against Chu Yang, the bandit could not help turning around to see where everyone had gone-

As dozens of bandits were killed by one of the servant's attacks the moment, he turned around to see what had happened to everyone.

"NOOO! BROTHERS!"

Along with the angry roar of the bandit leader who saw what happened to his brothers, the fight between the servant and the rest of the bandits increased in intensity, as the bandit leader madly attacked the servant with everything he had. Completely disregarding his own safety.

 Catching the servant off-guard, the bandit leader finally managed to land a proper hit on the servant, as a visible wound dripping fresh blood appeared on the servant's face.

Watching this scene from afar as the battle become more and more chaotic, the bandit suddenly froze for a split second as he tried to comprehend what was happening behind him.

Using this opportunity, Chu Yang used most of the qi left in his body to execute the Mountain Breaker spear move from the Soul Spear Divine Mantra-

Managing to land a fatal blow on the bandit in front of him before he had time to react, still shocked after witnessing his leader and the other bandits locked in a brutal battle for survival against a powerful opponent.

Watching with a painful expression on his face as the servant forcefully broke through a barrier formed by the bandit leader and cut off one of his arms.

The sight of what happened to his boss caused the bandit to stop himself from using the forbidden technique.

"Hmph!" Seeing Chu Yang coming towards him once again for another attack, the bandit only frowned before using his rapidly decreasing strength to dodge the attack before rushing towards the chaotic battle taking place between the bandits and the servant.

Chapter 537: End of the Battle

"-RETREAT!"

Upon hearing the shout of their boss and seeing the servant sealed up in the large bubble-like seal, the bandits did not think twice about what had just happened, as they all began darting in the opposite direction of the caravan.

No matter what, they were unwilling to continue their attack on the caravan after having found out that the people defending it were stronger than them. Not to mention, the seal on the servant would most likely not last for long. Given the fact that the bubble around said servant had already begun to show signs of cracking after every single attack.

Continuing to attack the caravan would at most result in the servant killing all of them after he freed himself from the bubble-like seal! More than enough reason for the bandits to abandon their original goal!

"Hahâ It's good. Everyone is getting awayâ"

Smiling happily upon seeing the sight of his brothers running away, Master Pu showed a happy smile before the forbidden technique fully consumed him. Turning his body to dust, as the seal began cracking apart even faster than before.

A few minutes after the bandits had escaped, the bubble-like seal broke apart as the servant managed to free himself from the seal formed after Master Pu sacrificed his life.

Gazing over the scene of destruction left behind, the servant soon turned to look towards the bandits still barely visible in the distance running away with all their might, the servant remained unmoving for a short moment before shaking his head.

"No use continuing the fightâ" Muttering this to himself, the servant turned around before heading back towards the caravan where Chu Yang and the rest of the guards from the caravan were waiting. Most of which were quite happy after realizing they didn't have to do anything during the battle that just took place.

"Let's resume the journey, we got delayed by quite a bit and might arrive later than expected if we end up encountering another bandit group along the way!"

As the servant returned back to the caravan, Chu Yang was just about to say something when the servant suddenly said this before entering the luxurious carriage.

The guards were more than happy to get going before another group of bandits appeared to attack them, as the caravan soon began moving once again.

Not saying anything as watched this play out, Chu Yang decided to jump back on top of the luxurious carriage as the he watched intently observed the place where the servant and the bandit leader had fought each other when they passed by it.

The scene of destruction left behind the two and the rest of the bandits were more than enough for Chu Yang to realize just how far he still had to go before reaching the Peak of the Core Formation Realm.

"I still have a long way to goâ"Â Muttering these words to himself, Chu Yang suddenly felt like he was still far from being considered someone strong, as he felt a drive to improve his cultivation base and reach the Peak of the Core Formation Realm. After that, he would do his best to reach the Nascent Soul Realm and truly become an expert in the cultivation world!

No. Reaching the Nascent Soul Realm was far from enough! His master was someone who had reached the Domain Lord Realm, so as his disciple, he should at the very least reach the Domain Lord Realm in the future and truly become a powerful cultivator. Not only in the smaller kingdoms, but across the entire Sky Empire!

Of course, these events took place inside both of the sects, as a few elders were in charge of moving these disciples back and forth between the two sects in batches to ensure their safety.

On the other hand, the older disciples from both of the sects who had already reached the Peak of the Foundation Establishment Realm, or the Core Formation Realm, were send out on 'special mission' to deal with strong demon beasts running wild or diplomatic matters pertaining the Flying Sword Sect's expanding control over their territory.

Specially arranged by Elder Song to help the older disciple understand some of the work they would have to undertake after becoming elders in the futureâ

After having seen how lazy most of the elders of the Flying Sword Sect were, Elder Song had taken it upon himself to make sure that the next generation of elders would not turn out like the last.

Not to mentionâ Now that he had reached the Nascent Soul Realm, Elder Song would live for a long time! Because of this, he understood very well that in the future, he would most likely be the one ending up with the work that the future elders ignored in case they ended up becoming lazy like the current group of elders!

Seeing that the person in front of the group of disciples from the Spring Flower Sect was actually a disciple from the Flying Sword Sect that had managed to recognize one of the disciples who had fallen down the hill, Xuan Hao felt things were about to get interesting. Especially considering the fact that the look on the female disciple's face very clearly told that she had understood what was happening and the fact that it was not the first time she had seen this beforeâ

As time passed with Xuan Hao looking around the Flying Sword Sect and seeing all the changes that had taken place since the time that the Flying Sword Sect officially began preparations for merging together with the Spring Flower Sect, his divine sense finally ended up landing on a rather familiar building located close to the centre of the sect.

"The stables!" Narrowing his eyes as he muttered the name of the building, Xuan Hao could not help recalling his past encounters with the beast tamers of the sect and their rather uniquely arrogant demon beasts.

"I wonder if things have changed since last..." The beast tamers were by far the most wasteful among all the professions that were nurtured inside the Flying Sword Sect when he had last seen it. For this reason, Xuan Hao felt quite curious about what had happened to them during the past year.

After all, he had already complained about them to Elder Song back then. Not to mention, Elder Song had looked more than happy to take care of the beast tamers after finding out about just how many spirit stones they were wasting on a daily basisâ

Not knowing what to say to what he had just witnessed; Xuan Hao had a feeling that the beast tamers usage of spirit stones was not decreasing like Elder Song, and he had wanted it toâ And the reason for this was none other than the demon beast he had tamed and brought back with him!

Thinking about this, Xuan Hao narrowed his eyes before disappearing from his pavilion before reappearing in front of the winged lion who was still in the process of devouring the spirit stones a few seconds later.

Not understanding why its master had suddenly appeared in front of it, the winged lion tilted its head in confusion. Not understanding why, it suddenly felt like something bad was about to happen.

"Y-your e-e-excellency, I-I have u-urgent-" Not able to continue speaking under the terrifying killing intent of the cardinal, the young priest who had just barely reached the Nascent Soul Realm almost fainted as he felt his soul slowly beginning to collapse under the terrifying pressure coming from the cardinal's killing intent.

"T-thank you, your excellency!"

"Hmph!"

Lifting the pressure so the other party could speak properly again, the cardinal just snorted coldly in response to the young priest.

"Your excellency, news just came in that the church of the plague god has begun moving out of the inner region kingdoms. "Qing Yi, congratulation on breaking through to the Core Formation Realm!" Seeing that his disciple had discovered him, Xuan Hao who had just arrived a few minutes earlier after feeling her beginning the final stages of her breakthrough, smiled happily before congratulating her.

Even if the system did not give him any rewards after her breakthrough to the Core Formation Realm, Xuan Hao was still happy that she had managed to reach the Core Formation Realm.

Sadly, the main quest still had not showed up yet. From the looks of it, he needed to do something before he could activate it and having two disciples in the Core Formation Realm was not itâ

Interrupting her master's train of thought as she said this with a happy expression on her face, Qing Yi stood up before doing a cute pose while thinking about how she would shock Chu Yang after he found out about her breaking through to the Core Formation Realm.

"Indeed. Now both of you have reached the Core Formation Realm."Â Rolling his eyes upon witnessing his disciples cute pose, Xuan Hao walked up to Qing Yi before using his divine sense to scan her dantian thoroughly. Making sure nothing was wrong with the newly born core inside her body.

"What a pure fire qiâ" Muttering this to himself as he scanned the bright red core inside of Qing Yi's dantian, Xuan Hao could not help sighing in amazement upon feeling just how pure the fire qi gathered together inside his little disciple's core was.

Not only that, but he could also very clearly tell that the bright red core faintly caried the aura belonging to the Dao of Fire that he had felt from the secret scroll he had brought out to help her during her meditation.

Even if the aura was extremely faint, it still symbolized that Qing Yi had already started comprehending the Dao of Fire. Not only that, but he had also very clearly noticed that her Bright Sun Divine Physique had improved. Increasing her affinity with the Dao of Fire!

"Hehe, no need to pout, what I said was indeed true!"

"You risked your life for this ancient scroll!?"

"Wellâ Not reallyâ But it is an ancient scroll I found for you after countless- Well this doesn't really matter." Seeing his little disciple begin pouting again, Xuan Hao quickly stopped himself from teasing the young girl.

Saying this, Xuan Hao took out one of the many interspatial rings he had on him and threw it to her.

"Keep the ancient scroll inside this whenever you are not using it or when you are adventuring outside!"

"T-thank you master!" Not knowing what to say after having suddenly receiving both a precious ancient scroll that could increase her cultivation speed and an interspatial ring, Qing Yi could only thank her master for the gifts.

"No need to worry about it, you are after all my disciple, and I should take care of you and ensure that you will be able to grow to your full potential! Follow me, we will go to the training ground and test out your new strength"

As his divine sense swept over the Flying Sword Sect, it very quickly reached the Alchemy Hall where a certain treasure hunter was busy holding a lecture for some of the disciples who had just recently joined the Alchemy Hall in anticipation of the upcoming competition that was going to be held.

"Ahâ Perhaps that treasure hunter alchemist Peng Yun is counted as well? Never did find out what happened to him after dropping him off at the Alchemy Hall. From the looks of it, he ended up officially joining the Alchemy Hallâ I should lift the restriction in place on his dantian."Â

Not waiting along after coming to this decision, Xuan Hao directly lifted the restriction that had been placed on Peng Yun's cultivation.Â

Even if nothing had happened to him yet and the elders from the Alchemy Hall had made him a permanent member of the Alchemy Hall, he was still fearful of his future.

"Don't worry about the seal, I was the one who lifted it! Seeing as you have already joined the sect, there is no need for the seal to be there any longer."

"T-thank you!" Listening as the voice slowly drifted away towards the end, Peng Yun quickly understood what had just happened as he felt a wave of elation from the bottom of his heart.

Even if the other party had said he would be spared, Peng Yun was never certain about it and had always had the thought that maybe the other party would kill him off after he had finished giving away all of his alchemy recipes.

From now on, he would no longer have to fear what would happen to him in the future and could confidently stay in the Alchemy Hall without worrying about Elder Xuan suddenly deciding to kick him out, or worse, kill him!

However, even after searching through the entire Flying Sword Sect with his divine sense, he could not find out who the last one was. The only reason for this, would be that the other party was currently not inside the Flying Sword Sect.

Not something odd. Especially with Elder Song sending them out to help deal with some of the stronger sects who tried fighting back against the Flying Sword Sect's increasing control over their territory.

An example would be the two Wang brothers, who were currently not present in the sect, as they were dealing with one such sect that had a Nascent Soul Realm Sect Master.

Hm? Maybe its Zhu Lian?

Recalling the name of the old lady he had helped break through to the Nascent Soul Realm and recruited into the sect, Xuan Hao remembered that he had not even managed to see her shadow since then.

Originally, he had thought that she might have decided to run away after he helped her breakthrough to the Nascent Soul Realm, but from the looks of it, that was not the case.

"I wonder where she isâ Maybe Feng Chen knows somethingâ" feeling curious about what had happened to the Zhu Lian, who was likely the eighth Nascent Soul Realm Expert of the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao decided to pay a visit to Feng Chen and see if he knew anything about where she had disappeared to.

Chapter 542: Zhu Lian in Danger?

Arriving in front of Zu Fei's pavilion where Feng Chen was temporarily staying as his own had still not been rebuilt yet, Xuan Hao instantly spotted Zu Fei standing at the entrance to the pavilion. Busy talking with a young disciple.

Spotting Xuan Hao almost the same moment he appeared in front of her pavilion; Zu Fei quickly signalled for the young disciple to leave before making her way over to meet him.

"Elder Xuan, What brings you here? Are you perhaps here for the Sect Master?"

"Indeed, I have something to ask him about."

"I understand, he should be cultivating at the eastern flower garden inside my pavilionâ if he is not there, you can try the other flower gardens, he normally cultivates inside one of them!"

"Thanks, I will be going then."

Not really needing her directions to find Feng Chen as he had already locked on to him with his divine sense, Xuan Hao still thanked Zu Fei before entering her pavilion and making his way towards the location of Feng Chen.Discover, Devour, Delight: NvεlB¡n.

Entering Zu Fei's pavilion, Xuan Hao could not help feeling shocked at the inside of the pavilion. No calling it a pavilion would not be appropriate, as Zhu Fei's pavilion was just a large garden with walls around it and several walkways made from the wood of spiritual trees going through this large garden. Every now and then, a few small residences could be seen where some of Zu Fei's disciples resided.

Walking along one of these walkways, Xuan Hao soon reached what Zhu Fei had referred to as the eastern flower garden, a beautiful part of the giant garden that was Zu Fei's pavilion filled with all sorts of flowers, both spiritual and mortal in nature.

"Elder Xuan? Did you perhaps come here because of the Mystic Realm entrance you found? Sorry to disappoint you, but we have not been able to find anything about the entrance to a Mystic Realm in the historical records of the sect so farâ" Spotting Xuan Hao the moment he entered the eastern flower garden, Feng Chen stood up before calling out to him in a slightly surprised tone. Having already drawn his own conclusion as to why Xuan Hao had come to visit him.

"Noâ I'm not here because of the Mystic Realm, but it is indeed rather disappointing to not have any information about itâ" Shaking his head in response, Xuan Hao quickly denied this. After all, his reason for coming was not to ask about the entrance to the Mystic Realm located just next to his pavilion, but about the person most likely to be the eighth Nascent Soul Realm Expert of the Flying Sword Sect, Zhu Lian.

"I seeâ I wonder what reason you have come for then?" Not expecting for his guess to be wrong, Feng Chen could not help feeling a bit curious about why Xuan Hao had come to him this time around.

Did another Mystic Realm perhaps appear? Was someone powerful about to attack the sectâ Or maybe he was finally going to set up the Qi Gathering Formation so they could begin moving the sect to the Shattered Star Peaks?

No matter what it was, Feng Chen understood that Xuan Hao would normally not come to him if it was not something important!

The system also did not even wait for him to think it over before it issued a brand-new sect quest related to Zhu Lian. Not even giving him any time to react before the information about Zhu Lian's location appeared in his head. From what the system said, it seemed like she had already been recognized as part of the Flying Sword Sect after she had been invited by him and had agreed to join.

Not knowing what to say at the sudden enthusiasm from the system, Xuan Hao could only shake his head before checking out the information he had been given about Zhu Lian's location.

"The Frozen Wastelandâ I didn't expect that I would be going there so soonâ" Landing back at the entrance to his own pavilion after having left Zu Fei's garden like pavilion, Xuan Hao could not help saying this to himself as he gazed up at the moon.

From the looks of it, he would have to visit the Frozen Wasteland and save Zhu Lian before she ended up dying to the trouble she had mentioned encountering in her letter.

Not only that, but he would also get a chance to look for the location of the Frost Devil Sect that he had promised Yi Min in exchange for the information about the Transcendent Spiritual Herb he needed for the Qi Gathering Formation.

Maybe he would even go and look for the Transcendent Grade Spiritual Herb after having made sure that Zhu Lian was safe. Around the same time that Xuan Hao set off from the Flying Sword Sect towards the Frozen Wasteland, space distorted visibly above the now destroyed mountain range where Archbishop Soft Breeze and the people from the church of the plague god had fought with each other .

Stepping out from the space that had suddenly twisted and distorted above the mountain range, the Cardinal from the Order of the Sky God frowned as his vast divine sense instantly engulfed what was left of the mountain range that had been turned into rubble during the fight that took place a few days earlier.

"Looks like I'm too lateâ" Shaking his head as he found no traces of the holy artifact or Archbishop Soft Breeze inside the destroyed mountain range, the Cardinal from the Order of the Sky God did not stay around for long, as space soon began distorting around his body once again before he disappeared from the destroyed mountain range.

Given that the Cardinal from the church of the plague god had already arrived before him and taken away the holy artifact that most likely contained the soul of Archbishop Soft Breeze, the Cardinal from the Order of the Sky God understood that there was not much he could do about it.

As for the Azure Sky Kingdom that was about to fall under the church of the plague god, he did not really care too much, as it was not for him to deal with. The people under him were much more suited to deal with a small kingdom like the Azure Sky Kingdom. Wasting his time to do it himself was not really something he wanted to do.

This person was none other than the Cardinal from the church of the plague god that the Cardinal from the Order of the Sky God had believed to have already arrived before him!

In the end, none of them cared too much about a small kingdom like the Azure Sky Kingdom and didn't waste too much time there.

In their eyes, even if the Azure Sky Kingdom fell to the church of the plague god, it would not influence the situation in the core region of the Sky Empire!

Even after the battle had come to an end, there was still countless different traps and killing formations hidden across the now abandoned battlefield that needed to be cleaned up before it would be safe for ordinary mortals and weaker cultivators to pass through without fear of getting caught up in a random killing formation set up by one of the two sides in the past.

"Hm?" Noticing something odd about the soldiers that were walking around the border busy cleaning the area up, Xuan Hao directly used his domain to isolate one of the soldiers before knocking him out.

Investigating for a few minutes longer, he quickly realized that the priest was the one who injected the green divine energy into the soldiers to help their cultivation improve!

Not staying around the border area for too long after having investigated this, Xuan Hao resumed his journey towards the Frozen Wasteland. Even if he was worried about the church of the plague god might be up to after taking control of the Azure Sky Kingdom, he did not really have the time to look into it, as he still had to save Zhu Lian within three days' time.

Finding himself at the border between the Azure Sky Kingdom and the Frozen Wasteland after flying through the Azure Sky Kingdom for half a day without stop, Xuan Hao could not help stopping to take in the scenery of the Frozen Wasteland.

Completely different from any place he had seen before, a magnificent frozen tundra spread out before him.

If not for the fact that he only had a little over two days' time left to find Zhu Lian inside the Frozen Wasteland, Xuan Hao felt like it would not be a bad idea to spend some time taking in the magnificent and beautiful scenery of the Frozen Wasteland.

Chapter 544: Unlucky Zhu Lian

Whoosh~!

Not standing around watching the beautiful frozen tundra for too long, Xuan Hao took a step forward and moved towards the rough location of Zhu Lian that he had been given by the system.

Even if the location was nowhere near as accurate as he would have liked it to be, he should have enough time to find Zhu Lian before the time was up!

At the same time that Xuan Hao arrived at the Frozen Wasteland in search of Zhu Lian, the person in question, was helplessly staring at the mossy stone walls surrounding. The reason why she had stopped attacking the formation at this point in time, was because she had discovered that the formation was slowly draining any and all qi inside of it. This included the qi inside her!

Given enough time, the formation would drain all the qi inside of her. Even if she could do fine without any qi, she was currently using said qi to maintain her body. Meaning that instead of eating or drinking, she would use the qi between heaven and earth to sustain her body!

If the formation drained all the qi inside her body, Zhu Lian could easily imagine her outcomeâ

Just a few days earlier, she had finally been able to make her way to the Flying Sword Sect after solving some problems that had come up along the way. Preventing her from making her way to the Flying Sword Sect sooner.

Back then, she had sent a letter back explaining her situation and the fact that it might take some time before she could officially become a member of the Flying Sword Sect.

Sending a letter was not something she really needed to do, but she felt that it was the best thing she could do given how much she had ended up getting delayed.

Unfortunately for her, this was not the end of her troubles, as she had ended up encountering a group of demonic cultivators around the borders of the Azure Sky Kingdom. Looking for any unfortunate person who passed byâ In the end, she had ended up as that unfortunate personâ

In the end, she had just barely escaped by entering the Frozen Wasteland. However, not a minute after the demonic cultivators had given up chasing her, she had stumbled upon the ancient ruins of a city buried beneath the snow.

Her first reaction back then had been to get out of there before anything happened, but she had still not managed to react fast enough, as she soon found herself tripping over an ancient trapping formation that had remained dormant for who knows how long before she accidently tripped over it. The rest was history and she now found herself in her current situation with no way out. Only waiting to slowly starve to death from qi deprivationâ

"How unfortunate can one get?" Noticing the fact that the qi inside her body was already running out only after having been stuck for a few days, Zhu Lian could not help cursing the group of demonic cultivators who had forced her to us up most of her qi while escaping from them.

Rumble~!

"What nowâ?" Suddenly feeling the ground beneath her begin shaking violently, Zhu Lian had a feeling something bad was about to happen, as she prepared herself for the worst.

RUMBLE-!

As the shaking got more intense, the ancient trapping formation around her showed signs of cracking apart.

Crack~

Sadly, Zhu Lian did not get to see the formation fully crack apart from the sudden earthquake, as the ground below her feet suddenly split apparat before she had the chance to see this.

"Aaaaaaah-!" Not able to fly with her current cultivation realm, Zhu Lian could only let out a surprised scream as she suddenly found herself falling down the crack that had opened up below her.

Grabbing on to the sides of the crack to stop herself from falling down was not an option either, as the size of the crack itself had expanded from only a few meters in size to what looked could only be described as a giant ravine several hundred meters wide.

Even worse, she was located directly at the centre of it!

Whoosh~

So, Zhu Lian could only brace for the inevitable impact and hope her physical body would not end up dying from the-

"That hurtâ At least my body is still fine!" Feeling that her physical body was still fine after her intimate contact with the ground beneath her, Zhu Lian quickly got up before finding a place to hide and recover her strength.

In her current condition, she did not dare release her divine sense to inspect where she had ended up. For now, the most important thing was to quickly recover her strength!

However, this was made even more difficult, as Zhu Lian soon discovered that the qi around her was not the normal qi she was used to. Instead, it was yin qi. Incredibly dense and pure yin qi!

Travelling through the Frozen Wasteland, Xuan Hao managed to reach the rough location where the system had indicated Zhu Lian was.

The only problem being that the surrounding area was not any different from what he had seen so far during his travel through the frozen tundra called the Frozen Wasteland. The area was completely barren with no signs of life for miles on end. Wellâ Not completely without life, as a few snow rabbits could be seen scavenging for some sort of plant living beneath the thick layer of snow that covered the frozen tundra.

Even at this point in time, Xuan Hao had yet to spot a single living creature outside the snow rabbits on his way through the frozen tundra.

Thinking about it, the snow rabbits seemed like the apex predators of the frozen tundra so far. Preying on the helpless plants trying their best to hide beneath the snowâ

"Hm? Looks like there actually is someone else aroundâ" Still in the process of scanning through the frozen tundra while observing a group of lively snow rabbits below him searching for the plants hidden beneath the snow, Xuan Hao could not help smiling happily to himself after spotting a group of cultivators with his divine sense.

Even if he could clearly sense that the group in question was demonic cultivators who had managed to reach the First Demonic Transformation and were equivalent to someone at the Nascent Soul Realmâ
