"Hm… This might be a good opportunity…" Watching this scene play out as the several crack began forming along the bottom part of the tower that the two demon beasts were residing, Chu Yang narrowed his eyes as he felt like he might have an opportunity to kill both of the demon beasts in time if he took advantage of the current situation.

Chu Yang did not have to wait long for this opportunity, as only a minute later, the foundation that had held up the tower with the three headed horse demon beast nest on top of it, broke apart under the weight of the two demon beasts currently on top of it.

As the two demon beasts were caught off guard by the towers sudden collapse and started falling towards the ground together with the tower, Chu Yang took advantage of the two demon beasts currently in a state of confusion, as he launched forward with his spear in hand towards his first target, the three headed horse demon beast!

Piercing through the air with his spear in hand, Chu Yang soon appeared directly below the three headed horse demon beast before stabbing towards it without wasting any time. The small qi barrier that it had time to form, was far from enough to block Chu Yang's spear!

Even if the three headed horse demon beast noticed him in time, there was no way for it to change its path in time-

As Chu Yang managed to easily pierce through all three of its horse heads before it had any time to put up a any proper resistance...

Quickly digging out the transparent stone located around its stomach before focusing his attention towards the bull demon beast a short distance away from his current location.

By the time that the bull demon beast managed to regain its footing and look toward the three headed horse demon beast, Chu Yang had already killed it and was rushing towards it!

As the spear cut into the leg of the bull demon beast, it let out a painfilled howl as it watched one of its legs getting cut off. Instantly making the bull demon beast that relied on four legs to walk lose its stability.

The fact that it lost its leg was not only painful, but also something that it would not be able to recover from. After all, different from demon beasts and cultivators who reached the Nascent Soul Realm and had the ability to rebuild their physical body in case they ended up loosing an arm or leg, a demon beast or cultivator at the Core Formation Realm could not do something like that.

The only way someone like that could regrow a lost limb was through the help of some powerful technique, a rare spiritual herb, the help of a high-level alchemist, or the help of a powerful cultivator! There might be other ways, but those were far too rare compared to those four methods…

Does it perhaps belong to some kind of ancient demon beast bloodline I have never heard about before…?" Muttering this to himself as he tilted his head in confusion after seeing the appearance of the demon beast leader, Chu Yang could not help feeling that it was weird to see such a small rabbit being in charge of a group of massive demon beasts, each being the size of a small hill…

ROOOAR!

Hearing the roar of the small rabbit demon beast with a small pair of demon like horns on top of its head, Chu Yang could not help feeling amazed, as he witnessed the group of massive demon beast obediently listening to the rabbit demon beast before they slowly began leaving the area and heading back towards the centre of the ancient city ruins.

From the looks of it, the demon beasts were not going to go out in pairs of two for safety anymore, but had instead decided to all gather together at the core part of the ancient city ruins for safety…

Of course, this was the worst possible outcome for Chu Yang, as he would not be able to take on the demon beast if they were gathered together in one place.

If they had split up in groups of three after this, he might have had a chance to still kill some of them and harvest the transparent stone inside their bodies… But from the looks of it, that would no longer be possible!

Now, all he could do was hunt the Core Formation Realm demon beast roaming the outer part of the ancient city ruins alone. However, these demon beasts were all weaker than those in the core part of the ancient city ruins and the transparent stone inside their body also had way less energy inside of it.

Not to mention, he had already hunted down most of the Core Formation Realm demon beasts in the outer parts of the ancient city ruins… If he wanted to continue gathering more of the transparent stones to increase his strength, he would have to fight with the Core Formation Realm demon beasts in the core part of the ancient city ruins. Something that was not possible now that they had decided to gather together for safety in fear of him taking them out one by one…

Chapter 582: Searching for a way to Suppress the Black Spot Disease

Back at the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao had visited the Alchemy hall as he burrowed several different spiritual herbs before finding an empty alchemy room inside the Alchemy Hall before taking out all the spiritual herbs he had just gathered.

"Hm… Now… What kind of medicinal potion would work to supress the black spots inside Song Jia's eyes…?" Glancing over the spiritual herbs he had just gathered, Xuan Hao closed his eyes as several different potion recipes appeared in his mind. All of which could be used to supress all kinds of different eye related diseases.

With the assistance of the alchemy knowledge, he had gained through the help of the system. Although most of the recipes he had could not be used to help supress the black spots inside Song Jia's eyes, they would still be able to help him get a better understanding over medicinal potions used to treat eye related diseases.

With time, Xuan Hao felt certain that he would be able to come up with a medicinal potion that could cure the eye related disease Song Jia's was currently suffering from… The only problem with this, was the fact that he did not have a lot of time!

According to what he had seen when investigating the slowly growing black spots hidden away inside Song Jia's eyes and how anxious Elder Song was about refining the demon be medicinal potion, Xuan Hao could easily guess that he would not have more than a few days' time to complete a medicinal potion that could supress the black spots inside Song Jia's eyes from growing and endangering her life.

Not daring to waste a single second after having settled down and prepared what he needed inside the alchemy room, Xuan Hao began experimenting with combining several different spiritual herbs together in an attempt to look for something that would work in supressing the black spots slowly growing inside Song Jia's eyes.

If things really came down to it and he couldn't come up with something and Song Jia could not hold on until he found another way to supress the black spots that did not involve using a demonic medicinal potion, Xuan Hao would not hesitate to use a year of his own lifespan to make the demonic medicinal potion!

Even if it ended up damaging his foundation to some degree, it would not be too bad, and he should be able to recover after a few years. Maybe only a few months if he was lucky.

During all of this, he had never once noticed just what Elder Song had been going through…

"Haa… Elder Song, you should take the next week off as well, I will take care of the sect on my own! Don't worry about your granddaughter either, I'm sure some of the other elders will be more than happy to look after her while you recover!"

"A-are you sure sect master…? You should know just how much I-"

After the Core Formation Realm demon beasts inside the ancient city ruins had gathered together for safety and he had killed the rest of the demon beasts at the Core Formation Realm that roamed the outer part of the ancient city ruins alone, Chu Yang had tried using the transparent stones he had gathered to break through to the Fourth Stage of the Core Formation Realm.

However, he had failed just a single step away from breaking through to the Fourth Stage of the Core Formation Realm. Hovering just between what could be called the early stage and middle stage of the Core Formation Realm.

After having failed to break through to the Fourth Stage of the Core Formation Realm, Chu Yang had left the ancient city ruins for the time being, as he began searching the surrounding area for any demon beasts in the Core Formation Realm in hopes of finding more of the transparent stones so he could reach the Fourth Stage of the Core Formation Realm.

The reason why he wanted to reach the Fourth Stage of the Core Formation Realm, was because he would be far stronger after reaching that realm and would at the same time also be able to enter the core part of the ancient city ruins without having to worry about getting killed by the powerful rabbit demon beast with a pair of demon horns…

"No transparent stone inside this one either… But it clearly reached the Core Formation Realm, can I really only get transparent stones from the Core Formation Realm demon beasts inside the ancient city ruins…?" Feeling a bit agitated after failing to find any transparent stone in the body of the large frog on the ground, Chu Yang could not help wondering if it was only demon beasts inside the ancient city ruins that had a transparent stone inside of them after they reached the Core Formation Realm.

Not to mention his wanton slaughter of any Core Formation Realm demon beast that he found in the outer parts of the ancient city ruins, the demon beasts hiding away had also been scared into hiding by the powerful Core Formation Realm demon beasts from the core part of the ancient city ruins when they had searched through the outer parts of the ancient city ruins for him!

All things considered, the demon beasts below the Core Formation Realm still alive inside the ancient city ruins were all hiding away inside some of the still standing houses of the ancient city or inside small holes in the ground that they had dug out just a few hours earlier. Finding out about this through witnessing a small demon beast in the earlier stages of the Foundation Establishment Realm hiding away the moment it saw him, Chu Yang could not help feeling a bit wronged.

He had mostly just hunted down the demon beasts in the Core Formation Realm, yet the Foundation Establishment Realm demon beasts were avoiding him like the plague upon seeing him!

Shaking his head as he reminded himself of his goal for entering the ancient city ruins, Chu Yang ignored the fearful gazes he could feel from the demon beasts peeking at him from afar before heading towards the centre of the ancient city ruins.

Coming to a stop just before entering the core part of the ruins, chu yang stared towards the centre of the ancient city ruins where several unfamiliar and familiar Core Formation Realm demon beasts were visible.

The last thing he wanted to happen was for these demon beasts to notice him the moment he entered the core part of the ancient city ruins and for this reason, Chu Yang slowed down and did his best to hide himself before truly entering the core part of the ancient city ruins.

"As long as there aren't any demon beasts in the Nascent Soul Realm with divine sense, I should be fine…" Muttering this to himself as he officially stepped into the core part of the ancient city ruins, Chu Yang could not help sincerely hoping that none of the demon beasts inside had developed their divine sense yet.

After all, if any of the demon beasts inside had developed their divine sense or reached the Nascent Soul Realm, Chu Yang would have no way to hide from them no matter how much he tried.

Divine sense was simply way too powerful. Allowing someone to easily grasp everything within one's divine sense. The only thing that allowed someone to avoid someone's divine sense, was something belonging to the peak of the Nascent Soul Realm, like a pseudo domain or a domain belonging to the realm above the Nascent Soul Realm!

No matter what it was, Chu Yang had neither of them and was still far away from any of those two things… So… If anyone inside the core part of the ancient city ruins had developed their divine sense, he would not be able to hide and would get found out the moment he unknowingly wandered into the range of the demon beast's divine sense…

Still continuing forward, Chu Yang decided against trying to kill any of the many Core Formation Realm demon beasts that he saw wandering around the core of the ancient city ruins without the slightest bit of worry that anyone would suddenly launch an attack on them.

He understood very well that if he attacks any of the Core Formation Realm demon beasts, he would instantly get found by all the demon beasts inside the core area. At that point, he would not have a chance to enter the core part of the ancient city ruins any time in the nearby future. Before trying to kill any of the Core Formation Realm demon beasts for the transparent stone inside of them, Chu Yang wanted to first explore the core part of the ancient city and see if he could find anything of interest that could help improve his cultivation base like the transparent stones, he had gathered from the Core Formation Realm demon beasts so far.

At the same time, Chu Yang felt that it was weird that the Explorer Union and the members of the Explorer Union would stop coming to the ancient city ruins all of a sudden due to it having been emptied out.

After all, if he could tell how useful the transparent stones were to increasing his cultivation base, so could the many explorers of the Explore Union who had come before him… Unless, something had changed in the ancient city ruins during the few hundred years that had passed since the Explorer Union lost interest in the ancient city ruins.

Although explorers still came to visit the ancient city ruins from time to time. Most of them had only reached the Foundation Establishment Realm and was similar to the three explorers he had talked with before leaving the Small River Town and heading to the ancient city ruins.

Even if he understood it would be dangerous for him to go to the centre of the ancient city ruins, Chu Yang wanted to understand where the transparent stones had come from and more importantly understand why only the demon beasts at the Core Formation Realm inside the borders of the ancient city ruins could form a transparent stone inside of them while the ones just outside the outer walls could not!

Chu Yang felt that understanding this might help him not only better understand the origins of the transparent stone he had devoured without any worry, but might also help him understand where he might be able to find more of the transparent stones in the future!

After all, Chu Yang doubted that it was only the demon beasts inside the ancient city ruins who could form this weird transparent stone useful for increasing his cultivation realm inside their body, there had to be more similar places out there… And more importantly, there had to be a story behind this…

Chapter 585: The Badly Damaged Pagoda

Different from the outer part of the ancient city ruins, the core part of the ancient city ruins had seen far less destruction, as most of the houses and other buildings present in there were mostly still intact to some degree.

Sneaking his way through the many still standing buildings, Chu Yang could not help feeling that it was rather lucky for him that most of the buildings at the core part of the ancient city were still standing. After all, they ended up providing him with great cover from any of the Core Formation Realm demon beasts roaming around the place.

Other than this, the fact that most of the buildings were mostly intact also allowed him to truly get an idea of just how beautiful the ancient city had been in the past before getting destroyed before getting forgotten in the long river of time.

Even if he had no idea about the origin of many of the materials used in the buildings, Chu Yang still understood that it should be made up of something extremely durable to be able to last for however long the ancient city buildings had.

This was especially so considering the Core Formation Realm demon beasts living inside the core part of the city fighting with each other every now and then-

Hearing a large explosion just as he thought about this, Chu Yang could not help hiding away inside a nearby buildings as he observed through the windows of the building how two large demon beasts in the early stages of the Core Formation Realm clashed with each other not too far away from his current location.

The surprising part about their clash, was the fact that the buildings around them were almost completely unharmed by the power of the two Core Formation Realm demon beast.

Bang!

One of the demon beasts even smashed directly into a small pagoda, where instead of destroying the small pagoda like Chu Yang had expected to happen, the demon beast instead smashed into it without harming the pagoda in the slightest-

ROOOOAR!

On the contrary, the sharp sides of the small pagoda's roof pierced through the thick layer of scales on the demon beast's body. Instantly causing it to roar out in pain before freeing itself from the pagoda and escaping into the distance before its opponent had time to catch up to it.

From this alone, Chu Yang understood just how durable the buildings were… Not even an early stage Core Formation Realm demon beast had the power to destroy the buildings in the core part of the ancient city! It was no wonder that the ancient city could still stand to some degree after it had been destroyed in the past.

"I should get going…" Waiting for a few minutes until the two demon beasts fighting each other were completely gone, Chu Yang continued making his way towards the centre of the ancient city ruins. Not only did hints of purple suddenly appear around the edges of his bright red golden core, but a weird energy similar to the energy he had absorbed from the transparent stones also began slowly being expelled from the purple spots on his golden core as the energy slowly began filling up his dantian.

Although this would have been easy to discover under normal circumstances, Chu Yang seemed completely unaware of the chance taking place inside his dantian as he just continued moving towards the centre of the ancient city ruins without the slightest idea over just how dangerous his situation was getting.

This was not only because his dantian was filling up with some sort of foreign energy that could very well harm him, but mainly because the foreign energy filling up his dantian was slowly replacing his normal qi.

If he fought and began using his qi on a large scale, he would easily discover this change taking place inside his body. Sadly, for Chu Yang, he was currently busy trying his best to not enter a fight, as he even limited the amount of qi used to move around in fear that any of the Core Formation Realm demon beasts roaming around the core part of the ancient city ruins might spot him…

All things considered; Chu Yang had unknowingly entered an extremely dangerous situation that he himself was still not aware of… Well… He should have been more cautious when consuming random stones that just so happens to easily increase his cultivation realm. After all, there was no way one would be able to improve so rapidly without any negative effects!

"This should be the core of the ancient city…" Muttering this to himself as he arrived in front of a massive crater, Chu Yang could not help feeling shocked, as the centre of the ancient city ruins was nothing more than a giant hole in the ground.

Even seeing the hole that had slowly been covered in all sorts of plants over the years, Chu Yang could easily imagine that it should have been created by some sort of devastating attack by a powerful ancient cultivator.

The attack had created the massive crater in the ground and at the same time erased the centre of the ancient city!

Just from a glance, Chu Yang roughly estimated that the diameter of the massive crate was at least 10 or so miles!

Such a massive crater, just how powerful had the person attacking the ancient city in the past been? The Domain Lord Realm? Maybe even stronger than that?

Feeling both horrified and amazed at the same time as he saw the massive crater, Chu Yang could not help feeling that he was still way too weak when compared to experts strong enough to create such a massive crater… That was not mentioning that the ancient city would not have gone down without a fight.

This thought alone made Chu Yang shiver, as he had a feeling that the person behind the destruction of the ancient city ruins should be someone far above his current understanding.

Even if he wanted to say that it was a Domain Lord who had done it, Chu Yang still didn't properly have a grasp over just how powerful someone in the Domain Lord Realm was, let alone having an idea over how strong someone above the Domain Lord Realm was…

"Hm? Something is still intact at the bottom of the crater…?" Feeling amazed as he muttered these words to himself, Chu Yang focused his full attention on a badly damaged pagoda located at the centre of the crater.

Even from the fact that the pagoda was still standing, Chu Yang could guess that it was made up of some sort of godly materials. The only question left on his mind, was whether or not there was anything left inside the pagoda.

After all, given that the Explorer Union had already been to the ancient city ruins in the past and had combed through the area for any treasures, Chu Yang was not too confident that there would be anything valuable left inside of the pagoda located at the bottom of the massive crater.

If he had seen it and could guess how valuable it was, so could the explorers from the Explorer Union… With that in mind, there was no reason why there would be anything valuable left inside the pagoda at the bottom of the massive crater…

However, Chu Yang still felt hopeful that the Explorer Union might have missed something-

Chapter 586: Finding a new way to Suppress Song Jia's Disease

Reaching the badly damaged pagoda at the bottom of the massive crater at the centre of the ancient city ruins without encountering a single demon beast along the way, Chu Yang felt his curiously reach the peak as he poked his head inside the badly damaged pagoda.

Not the slightest bit of cation visible on his face, Chu Yang soon finished looking over the mostly empty first floor of the pagoda.

"Looks like the Explorer Union really did empty out this place when they combed through the ancient city ruins in the past…" Muttering this to himself as he saw several empty bookshelves lined up along the walls of the pagoda, Chu Yang could not help feeling his hope for finding anything valuable inside the badly damaged pagoda slowly start disappearing.

Stepping inside, Chu Yang ignored the creaking sound coming from the wooden floor beneath him as he did another quick scan of the first floor of the pagoda before focusing his attention on the spiral staircase leading up to the second floor of the pagoda.

Although he already had a feeling that he would not find anything of value after seeing the state of the first floor, Chu Yang was not one to give up exploring the rest of the pagoda now that he had already entered it!

With this in mind, Chu Yang walked through the empty first floor of the pagoda before reaching the spiral staircase located directly at the centre of the pagoda.

Taking his first step onto the spiral staircase, Chu Yang briefly felt a weird sensation in his dantian for a short moment before it disappeared.

Not thinking too much about it, Chu Yang made his way up the creaking spiral staircase towards the second floor of the badly damaged pagoda. Wanting to find out if there was anything valuable left after the Explorer Union had cleaned up the place some two hundred years ago.

Each of them was unique in their own way, with one being a purple bobbling liquid, while another could be mistaken for a small cloud trapped in a bottle,

Every single one of the potions in front of him were brewed for the sole purpose of supressing the disease Song Jia was suffering from. The only problem left, was to test whether or not any of the potions would actually be useful in dealing with the disease Song Jia was suffering from…

After all, the last thing Xuan Hao wanted, was to accidently feed Song Jia a potion that ended up killing her due to him having made a miscalculation somewhere along the line…

No matter what, it had to be remembered that Song Jia was only in the early stages of the Foundation Establishment Realm. The power contained in the potions he had made was far too much for her to endure with her current strength. Only if the potion worked perfectly and used all its power solely on supressing the black spots hidden away in her eyes would they be considered useful.

If they ended up being absorbed by her dantian or some other part of her body, Song Jia might end up exploding due to the sheer amount of energy contained in the potions he had brewed… Something Xuan Hao wanted to avoid!

For this reason, he had to find a way to test the potions he had just finished brewing and test their effectiveness to see whether or not any of them could be used by Song Jia.

However, how would he test the effectiveness of the potions…? The only person with the weird black spot disease that he knew about was Song Jia and testing such powerful potions on her would most likely just end up killing her in the process before he could even find out what had gone wrong…

"Ah! How on earth do I find out if these potions will work!?" Feeling a bit frustrated as he realized that he might not be able to help out Song Jia without using the demonic medicinal potion that Elder Song had already proved worked in supressing her disease, Xuan Hao picked up the recipe for the demonic medicinal potion as he began reading through it.

Even though he had gotten his hands on the recipe back at Song Jia's house, he had not yet fully looked through it, as he didn't plan on using it if possible, it was after all a demonic potion recipe.The initial posting of this chapter occurred via N0v3l.B11n.

Even if he didn't sacrifice anyone to make the demonic medicinal potion, he would still have to sacrifice his own lifespan to make it… Something that he wanted to avoid, if possible, as recovering from doing something like that would make him unable to cultivate normally for months, if not years!

"Hm?" Looking over the demonic potion recipe, Xuan Hao could not help freezing as he reached the list of spiritual herbs required for the potion.

Why do I feel like I've already made this potion before…?

Thinking this to himself as he continued reading through the demonic potion recipe, Xuan Hao could not help showing a slightly shocked expression as he finished reading through the demonic potion recipe.

The reason for this was not simply that he felt that the spiritual herbs used in the recipe was similar to one of the potions he had just refined, but instead because they were the exact same except for a few of the weirder and more demonic ingredients like the sacrifice.

Instead of these demonic ingredients, he had instead used some more expensive and rare spiritual herbs that would normally not be used in a Spirit Grade Potion.

"Maybe this one could actually work…" Looking over the potion in question and recalling the spiritual herbs used in it, Xuan Hao felt confident that it should have a similar effect as the demonic medicinal potion.

The reason for his confidence was not only because of the fact that the two potions needed mostly the same ingredients, but also because the brewing method he had used to make the potion was exactly the same as the one used for brewing the demonic medicinal potion!

Of course, exactly the same when it came to mixing tougher the different spiritual herbs and other ingredients. The preparation of the different spiritual herbs and ingredients were of course different. After all, Xuan Hao did not find a sacrifice and used their blood and soul as an ingredient in the potion.

Feeling more and more confident the more he looked through the recipe and compared it with one of the dozen potions he had refined, Xuan Hao slowly decided that he would try and give the potion to Song Jia…

Even if there was a risk involved in this and he might end up making the situation worse, Xuan Hao felt confident that he would still be able to keep Song Jia alive in the worst-case scenario.

All things considered; he was still a Domain Lord who had an ice domain. In the worst-case scenario, Xuan Hao planned to just freeze Song Jia alive and prevent the potion from doing any harm to her before slowly expelling it from her body.

Although this was something he could do, the experience of being frozen alive was not something without any pain, as Song Jia would end up going through a lot of pain in such a situation as the failed potion was slowly drawn out of her body.

Not to mention, he had no idea how the black spots in her eyes would react after the potion failed to supress them… If it really came down to it, Xuan Hao prepared to directly refine the demonic medicinal potion to deal with the black spots if this happened.

Even if it was something hard to refine for Elder Song, it was not something difficult for Xuan Hao who was already an Artisan Alchemist. Refining the demonic medicinal potion would at most take him half a minute or so, more than enough time for him to supress the black spots in her eyes before they could do any damage to Song Jia!

The fact that Song Jia had spotted him earlier had momentarily made him forget that other people below the Domain Lord Realm would not be able to see him if he didn't want them to…

The little girl truly was a troublesome one… She even made him think that he needed to find somewhere secluded as he forgot how powerful his hiding abilities actually were…

Chapter 587: Suppressing the Black Spots

Moving through the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao soon found himself back in Zu Fei's pavilion. The only difference this time around, was the fact that Zu Fei had still not returned. After a quick look around the sect, Xuan Hao realized that she was apparently still looking for Feng Chen-

"Ah… Looks like they ran into each other…" Seeing Zu Fei finally find Feng Chen as he was making his way back towards her pavilion where he had been doing most of his work after his own pavilion was destroyed, Xuan Hao decided to look away.

After all, from what he knew about Zu Fei, he had a feeling that Feng Chen would not be having a good time ahead of him… At least Feng Chen's sacrifice would allow him to freely move around Zu Fei's pavilion without having to come up with an excuse as to why he had returned within such a short period of time…

Walking towards the location of Song Jia, Xuan Hao had momentarily focused his attention on Feng Chen and Zu Fei, as he didn't notice the fact that he had already arrived inside a small flower garden where Song Jia was currently playing around.

"Elder Xuan…?"

Hearing the all too familiar young voice calling out to him, Xuan Hao returned his attention to his surroundings.

"Hm?"

Only to discover that Song Jia had already arrived in front of him as she was curiously looking up at him with her cloudy pair of eyes that seemed to directly see through the domain, he had used to hide himself from any of Zu Fei's disciples that were walking around inside the pavilion at all times.

In front of Song Jia, his domain was completely useless when it came to hiding… Something that made Xuan Hao feel amazed every time he witnessed this special ability to easily find him no matter how well he tried hiding himself.

"Song Jia, we meet again!"

"Yes… Is there a reason why Elder Xuan has come to visit me again…? Not that I have anything against it! It's rather boring in here now that sister Zu Fei left…"

Not knowing what to say as he had been the reason why Zu Fei had left her alone; Xuan Hao felt a bit embarrassed for a short moment before remembering the reason why he had come back.

"There is indeed a reason why I came back again, Elder Song entrusted me with your medicine and asked me to give it to you as he is quite busy at the moment…" Saying this, Xuan Hao waited for Song Jia to respond as he was curious over whether she would willingly take her medicine.

"I see… It's that time already, let's get it done quickly…" Acting far more mature than Xuan Hao had expected her to, Song Jia let out a sigh before sitting down on a nearby bench. Prepared to take her medicine without the slightest form of resistance.

Thinking this to himself as he saw the resigned expression on the little girl's face, Xuan Hao took out the medicinal potion he had made before he helped Song Jia drink it.

"Mhh?!" Clearly feeling the difference in the potion compared to the one she had been used to taking once every year, Song Jia showed a surprised expression on her face for a short moment before greedily swallowing the rest of the potion.

The potion tasted far too different compared to the demonic medicinal potion she was used to taking, as it had a strawberry flavour, while the demonic medicinal potion she had been taking before tasted more like sewer water mixed together with the decomposing body of some dead animal…

The difference between the two potions was like the difference between heaven and earth!

Not only that, but Song Jia clearly felt the clear difference the moment it entered her stomach, as there was not the slightest bit of pain. Instead, a comfortable warmth spread all over her body before gathering towards her eyes.

The potion was simply way to powerful for her small body to endure with only the strength of someone in the Foundation Establishment Realm.

This was also the reason why Xuan Hao had made sure that the potion made Song Jia fall asleep before it began the process of supressing the black spots in her eyes.

The reason for this, was that the process of supressing the black spots in her eyes was extremely painful. Even if he did not use the demonic medicinal potion, this pain could not be prevented…

For this reason, making Song Jia sleep through the process was the best solution he could come up with. At least this way, she would not have to go through the pain like she had in the past when she had consumed the demonic medicinal potion.

Just what on earth could have happened for someone to give up all the books and artifacts on the seventh floor…? Is there perhaps some sort of killing formation in place that activates upon entering the seventh floor? Maybe the reason why the members of the Explorer Union who came here in the past left this place intact because of something entirely different… but what…?

Thinking this to himself, Chu Yang suddenly recalled the books he had taken with him when he dashed into the seventh floor of pagoda just a moment ago.

For example, the exotic energy was likely what the weird energy currently inside his dantian was called.

Another thing would be the ancient demon beast above the mortal realm… For some reason, Chu Yang had a feeling that the mortal realm referred to in the book was not the same mortal realm that he knew about.

When referring to someone still in the mortal realm, it was normally people without any cultivation, or in some cases those in the Qi Condensation Realm as well due to the fact that their lifespan was the same as normal people without any cultivation.

No matter how he thought about it, there was no way he could connect the death of a demon beast in the Qi Condensation Realm to the exotic energy currently trying to kill him by devouring his qi… If a Qi Condensation Realm demon beast had such abilities, it would be way too terrifying!

The page had a few large words boldly written on top of it-

Reading the title of the chapter out loud, Chu Yang could not help smiling. This was just what he had been looking for!

Although the chapter title called him stupid, Chu Yang did not really care about this and was instead far more interested in finding a way to deal with blob of exotic energy inside his dantian.

"Stage 1, just absorbed the exotic energy… Stage 2, the exotic energy is refined and helps increase cultivation realm… Stage 3, exotic energy seeps out from core and forms a blob of exotic energy that absorbs the qi inside the dantian. Transforming it into exotic energy… Stage 4, all qi inside dantian has transformed, exotic energy start devouring vital energy and lifespan… Stage 5, death.

Discovery of exotic energy after stage 3 makes it close to impossible to expel. The last thing he wanted, was for the pure qi to disperse while he tried figuring out what had happened to the devil immortal jade. Not to mention, he was not really in a safe location at the moment and could encounter a dangerous situation the moment he left the pagoda.

In such a situation, it was best for him to first stabilize his cultivation base at the Third Stage of the Core Formation Realm and if possible, try to break through to the Fourth Stage of the Core Formation Realm with far stronger pure qi that was now present in his dantian after the help of the devil immortal jade!

Fully intent on trying to breakthrough to the Fourth Stage of the Core Formation Realm, Chu Yang quickly stabilized his cultivation base before starting to attack the barrier to the fourth stage with the help of the pure qi refined from the exotic energy.

After close to half a day of attacking the barrier to the Fourth Stage of the Core Formation Realm, Chu Yang finally managed to break through the barrier and officially step into the Fourth Stage of the Core Formation Realm.

Following the absorption of qi by the pagoda being stopped, a large number of dim ancient symbols suddenly manifested out of thin air around the pagoda-

The fact that most of them had managed to survive the attack of the pagoda was a miracle, as most of the pagoda's power had been split into dozens of weaker attacks that they could just barely endue with their strength. Only a few of the weaker ones at the First Stage of the Core Formation Realm had died during the pagoda's attack!

All in all, the rabbit demon beast considered this a success, as it returned to observing the pagoda where the human was hiding together with the rest of the demon beasts. Not forgetting to recover from the few injuries that it had just received from the pagoda.

Chapter 594: Journey Back

Having come to a stop a short distance away from the ancient city ruins after discovering that the rabbit demon beast decided not to continue chasing after him outside the ancient city ruins, Chu Yang examined his surroundings before finding a place to recover the qi he had used to fight with the rabbit demon beast earlier.

Standing back up after spending a few minutes recovering the qi he had spent during his escape from the ancient city ruins, Chu Yang began making his way back towards the Small River Town. Leaving behind the ancient city ruins.

The reason why he decided to make his way back to the Small River Town instead of heading directly back towards the Flying Sword Sect, was because Chu Yang did not want to risk once again losing his way while travelling on his own.

For this reason, he wanted to make use of the Explorer Union of the Small River Town and try get an escort mission towards the Flying Sword Sect.

Even if the Explorer Union was pretty bad in the Small River Town, Chu Yang thought that he should at the very least be able to get an escort mission out of the small town to another town closer to the Flying Sword Sect… Hopefully that town would have a more functioning Explorer Union as well.

Investigating the spiritual fruit trees at the Small River Town was no longer something Chu Yang wanted to waste time on, as at this point in time, he just wanted to return back to the Flying Sword Sect and get his master to check out the situation.

Although he did not think the devil immortal jade missed any of the exotic energy when it forcefully refined it, he could never be completely certain about this. Getting his master to check it for him was the best option for him.

After a quick scan with his divine sense, Xuan Hao discovered to his shock, that the young man was actually in the Foundation Establishment Realm!

"That was far better than I expected it to be..." Muttering this to himself as he left the restaurant after having finished his meal, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit surprised at how good the food was.

From the looks of it, the Flying Sword Sect not only had skilled cultivators, but also had some skilled chefs!

Feeling quite happy at this revelation, Xuan Hao soon found himself in front of the information board that he had heard the younger disciples talking about.

After a closer look, Xuan Hao realized that the formation inside the information board was connected to all the other information boards across the Flying Sword Sect through the formation.

Changing some of the information on the information board in front of him with the help of his domain, Xuan Hao observed as the rest of the information boards across the Flying Sword Sect similarly changed.

Normally, lectures done by core elders would not be advertised on the information board for and would most of the time be something that the disciples would compete for, as the lecture done by a Core Elder was far more beneficial than the lecture done by the Core Formation Realm Elders!

Yet at this point in time, Xuan Hao had pretty much invited every single new disciple from the last selection to join his lecture without having to go through some sort of tournament to fight for a chance to join the lecture...

"The information board changed; I wonder if anything happened for it to change at such a late time..." Just as Xuan Hao had left the information board after getting the information about his lecture on the information board, an older disciple that came running through the place noticed that the information board had changed, as he could not help himself from coming to a stop and taking a look.

"WHAT!? Elder Xuan is holding a lecture for the new disciples tomorrow?! Isn't he one of the core elders...?" Reading the information that Xuan Hao had just added to the information board, the older disciple stared speechlessly for a short moment before yelling out in shock.

After all, the core elders of the Flying Sword Sect would normally hold a lecture for a few select disciples chosen through a competition. The only core elder that did large scale lectures was Elder Song and that was only because he continued the large-scale monthly lectures he had been doing before reaching the Nascent Soul Realm.

For most disciples in the Flying Sword Sect, the only way they could gain guidance from someone in the Nascent Soul Realm, was through the monthly lecture held by Elder Song and the competitions hosted from time to time when another core elder wanted to hold a lecture.

Not to mention, Elder Xuan was not someone in the Nascent Soul Realm but was actually an expert who had reached the Domain Lord Realm!

"Its fine, there is still half an hour left before I plan to start the lecture, as long as it doesn't take too long there is more than enough time." Signalling for both of them to come to him while saying this, Xuan Hao took out two cushions for them to sit on.

As both of them moved forward and sat down on the cushions Xuan Hao had taken out, Shu Yao used her domain to seal the area around them to make sure the young disciples sitting not too far away happened to hear them.

Not knowing what to see upon witnessing this, Xuan Hao decided to look the other way and not get involved in whatever Shu Yao and Zu Fei were planning. For now, his only worry was the lecture that he was going to hold in a few minutes.

Chapter 600: End of Lecture, Reward

"… And that's it for today's lecture!" Finishing his lecture, Xuan Hao glanced towards the young disciples in front of him sitting motionless as they tried utilizing what they had just learned to improve their cultivation realm.

Even Bai Ning sitting beside him did not seem to register that the lecture had already finished, as he was fully absorbed on meditating like the rest of the young disciples who had participated in the lecture. The same could be said about the spiritual herbs and spiritual metals, as neither were anything that would be that useful for him in his current situation. The only reason he might choose the spiritual herb option would be to try and get a spiritual herb that could help Elder Song recover the damage inflicted to his soul, or maybe one that would help him when it came to repairing Zhu Lian's damaged body.

Outside of that, the best thing to choose would be the qi techniques and specialized cultivation mantras!

Even if both of them were useless to him and his disciples, he could always give them to the sect and help increase the number of qi techniques and cultivation mantras available to the younger generation.

However then again, if he missed a chance to get a spiritual herb that could help Zhu Lian or Elder Song, he would surely come to regret it in the future…

Chapter 601: Two Breakthoughs in a day!?

Finishing the short lecture on the Qi Condensation Realm for the disciples outside the hall, Xuan Hao returned back to the hall where most of the disciples meditating had already successfully broken through and absorbed what they had learnt during his lecture.

Bai Ning was no different, as he had managed to successfully break through from the Ninth Stage of the Qi Condensation Realm to the First Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm.

"Argh! What is this smell!? It's killing me!"

"Why... I just managed to reach the Peak of the Qi Condensation Realm, is this how it ends...?"

Listening to the young disciples squirming on the ground as a horrible smell covered the entire hall, Xuan Hao could not help rolling his eyes at the extreme responses of some of these younger disciples.

Looking at him slowly disappearing in the distance, Xuan Hao could not help chuckling silently to himself as he easily saw through the fact that Bai Ning had been rather embarrassed after having been faced with the other younger disciples half dead expressions after he had expelled a large quantity of impurities upon breaking through to the First Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm.

"Hm? Looks like Qing Yi also managed to break through..." Watching as Bai Ning disappeared completely from his view, Xuan Hao could not help showing a surprised expression on his face as he felt Qing Yi break through to the Second Stage of the Core Formation Realm.

In the span of a single day, two of his disciples had actually managed to successfully break through! This was definitely something to be happy about!

With a slight movement, Xuan Hao disappeared from his original spot in front of the pavilion and directly appeared in the room Qing Yi was staying in.

"Congratulations on breaking through."

Chapter 602: Helping Zhu Lian Recover

Arriving above the courtyard that Zhu Lian was currently staying in after she had arrived at the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit surprised upon detecting the presence of several unfamiliar elders inside the courtyard.

The underground ancient city ruins had just been discovered and there was still many ancient treasures and dangers hidden inside it from the conversations he happened to listen to from the explorers making their way towards these ancient ruins located underground.

Chapter 604: Future Sect Location, Throwing People Out~

The mountains in question, were the Seventh and the Fourth Star Peak. According to his investigation of the Shattered Star Peaks back when he had visited all of the nine mountains of the Shattered Star Peaks, these two were the most suitable places to build the Flying Sword Sect.

Most of the other mountains had something that prevented them from being a good location to build. For example, the Fifth Star Peak had a giant lake on top of it, while the Sixth Star Peak was covered in holes all over.

Building a sect in such places would be far more difficult and would also take a far longer time compared to just building on top of a mostly empty mountain like the Seventh- and Fourth-Star Peak…

As for the Eighth Star Peak, while it was a decent location to build, the Half Spirit Race was already living there, and Xuan Hao really didn't want to kick them out when he was already planning on having Elder Song help integrate them into the Flying Sword Sect in the future.
