Hello, welcome to the fourth installment of this series, if your here that means that first three did okay and I've decided to make this a series

And as always:

Questions?:

Ideas?:

Criticism?:

Now I hope you enjoy!

U.A. High School's hero course is the peak of hero training institutions, where aspiring heroes converge to gain the qualifications needed to be a pro

It stands as the most sought-after and fiercely competitive program nationwide, boasting an acceptance rate of less than one in 300 each year.

Among its prestigious alumni, we have legends like Skyward, who turned down a National Honor Award

Grand Torino, the Jet Hero, renowned for resolving the most incidents in history.

Then there's the unknown figure known as The Unseen Hero, En, whose heroic feats have earned him the 'Longest Time Gone for Heroism' award, though his whereabouts are unknown

Graduating from U.A. isn't just an achievement; it's a prerequisite for ascending to greatness in the hero world.

With this understanding, I set my sights on conquering the U.A. entrance exam—the crucial first step toward realizing my dream of becoming a hero!

- [Entrance: Battle Center - B] -

Gazing at the impressive sight before me, with all the examinees gathered at the Entrance of the battle center, I couldn't help but feel awestruck.

"Wow..."

"What's this?"

"It's like a whole city!"

"They have more than one of these on the school grounds?"

"U.A. is amazing!" exclaimed a few examinees.

"As it's stated in the application requirements, you all will be participating in ten-minute mock urban battles right after."

"Three different types of faux villains are stationed in each battle center. You earn points based on their level of difficulty."

"Our goal is to use our Quirks to earn points by immobilizing the faux villains," I remembered, saying it out loud, echoing the words of the hero.

Observing the confident demeanor of my fellow examinees, I couldn't help but wonder, 'How can everyone be so confident? Aren't they nervous?'

'Ah... They even have equipment to complement their Quirks,' I thought, noticing the various gear accompanying their abilities.

Scanning the diverse group of examinees, my eyes landed on Haruto-san.

As I made my way through the bustling battle center, I caught sight of Haruto-san, my fellow examinee.

'Ah… Oh, it's Haruto-san, he was assigned to the same battle center, huh?' I thought to myself nervously.

Gathering my courage, I decided it was best to approach him and say hello.

"...um, Haruto-san?" I managed to utter, my voice betraying my nerves.

"Yeah?, oh!, Midoriya-san?, I didn't know you were assigned to the same battle center!" Haruto-san exclaimed with a warm smile

"Y-yeah, I didn't know you were here either," I stammered out.

"Oh, and by the way, please, call me Hisashi. I'm not one to be called by my maiden name," he said, clarifying with a friendly tone.

"O-oh, I'm sorry Haru–sorry, Hisashi-san," I corrected myself, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"That's better… By the way, I've been meaning to ask… What's your quirk?" Hisashi-san inquired, his curiosity evident.

"U-um, it's nothing special… Just a weak attraction quirk…" I explained hesitantly, not eager to divulge about One For All.

"Is that so? Yet you chose to take the practical exam. You must really want to be a hero, then," Hisashi-san remarked, his observation hitting close to home.

"Yes… I've changed my mind about becoming a hero not long after graduating from junior high," I confessed.

"That's impressive... Oh, but where are my manners? I forgot to mention my quirk; it's nothing special. I can breathe fire," he explained, demonstrating with a small burst of flames from his mouth.

"Woah... that's amazing," I exclaimed.

"Oh, come on, you're just being polite," he replied.

"Okay, let's begin!" the speaker suddenly announced, prompting several of us to dash away.

"Ah, let's go!" Haruto-san urged as we ran with the others.

"What's wrong?, There aren't any countdowns in real fights. The die has been cast, you know," Salem remarked as some examinees were left behind, dashing to catch up with us…

- [Battle Center - B] -

I continued darting through the battle center, scanning every corner for any sign of the faux villains.

'Where could I even find one?' I pondered with growing concern

'It's okay, I have Skyward with me!' I reassured myself.

- [Flashback] -

As I swallowed the hair strand, I couldn't help but grimace.

"Alright! You swallowed the hair, right?" Skyward asked eagerly.

"Yeah... but I don't feel any different," I responded, feeling a bit disappointed.

Skyward chuckled. "Of course not! What do you think the stomach does?"

"Well, don't worry, you'll feel something in two or three hours," She assured me.

"I'm so nervous... I need to hurry back, take a shower, and eat breakfast," I muttered anxiously.

"You've become a proper vessel, but one that was made in a hurry," Skyward remarked, her tone serious.

"Oh..." I muttered, feeling a bit overwhelmed.

"You didn't even get to take it for a test drive. Prepare yourself for the physical repercussions it'll have on your body," Skyward warned, her expression grave.

"Huh?" I questioned, feeling a bit confused.

"I don't have time to explain in detail, so I'll just tell you this," Skyward continued, her voice firm.

"When you use my Quirk, One For All, think of saving those you care for. Feel that you're doing this for them, and yell from the depths of your heart, Sm-."

- [Present] -

The sudden crash of a one pointer shattered my thoughts, pulling me back into the chaos of the battle center.

"Agh! Ahh! A one pointer!" I exclaimed, my heart racing as the robot locked its eyes on me.

"Target acquired, I'll kill you!" the faux villain declared, its red optics narrowing in on me.

'It's coming, it's coming, it's coming!' I panicked internally.

'Why... why can't I move?!' I screamed at myself, feeling paralyzed with fear.

As the villain prepared to strike, desperation surged within me. 'Why?! Move!' I urged myself, willing my body to obey.

Unexpectedly, my right arm extended towards the villain, and my eyes glowed bright green.

The robot mirrored my actions, glowing with the same eerie hue, as if responding to an unseen force.

With a surge of energy, I unconsciously hurled the robot aside, sending it crashing to the other side of the road.

The realization of my newfound ability hit me like a physical blow, my head throbbing with pain.

"Agh!" I cried out, clutching my head as the world blurred around me.

'Is this what Skyward meant by my quirk skyrocketing in power?... I have telekinesis now?... It hurts...' I thought, struggling to make sense of the chaos within me.

But amidst the pain and confusion, a determination emerged.

'I... I have to continue. I have to earn more points,' I resolved, pushing forward through the tumult of the battle center.

"Six minutes and two seconds left." I heard the announcement

'Huh? I've got to hurry!' I thought, feeling the pressure of time bearing down on me

As I hurried through the city streets, I encountered other examinees relentlessly battling the villain's minions.

To my side, I spotted Haruto-san effortlessly racking up points: "Ah... that's 28 points!" he stated proudly.

'Huh? 28 points?' I thought, momentarily distracted from my own score.

Soon, I witnessed the loud blond from the auditorium using his sound-based quirk to decimate the bots.

"Yeah! 45!" he exclaimed triumphantly.

'45?!' My concern deepened as i realized the competition was fierce.

"That's 32," another examinee chimed in.

"First come, first serve," another added.

'Ahhh! The number of enemies is decreasing rapidly! I have to hurry!' I thought, pushing myself to run even faster through the city streets…

- [Monitor Room] -

In the Monitor Room, several figures stand, their gazes fixed on the screens displaying the live feed from the battle centers, where students engage in combat.

"In this practical exam, the examinees haven't been informed of the number or locations of the villains," A diminutive figure states.

"They must draw out the villains within a limited timeframe in a vast area," Another figure adds.

"Information gathering ability to understand the situation ahead of others," The conversation continues.

"Mobility adaptable to various circumstances, discernment to remain calm under pressure, and pure combat prowess," The smaller figure elaborates.

"These fundamental abilities crucial for maintaining peace in the streets are quantified into points for this test," The figure concludes.

"Doesn't this year's group show promise?" Another figure asks

"Well, it's too early to determine," Replies another.

"Their ultimate test…" the smaller figure remarks as they press a button

"…is yet to come."

- [Battle Center - B] -

As I stood frozen in shock, the echoes of the explosions reverberated through the area.

"Ahh..."

"Erk… Ah…"

"Ah…" came the collective gasp of the examinees as a colossal robot burst through nearby buildings, sending glass flying and wreaking havoc upon the city.

As the Zero Pointer appeared, Salem's warning about such obstacles resurfaced in my mind.

"There's one in every battle center. It's an obstacle that will rampage in narrow spaces,"

"It's not impossible to defeat, but no one's crazy enough to do so. I recommend that you try to avoid it."

I couldn't help but think, 'Isn't that thing a little too big?' as the faux villain unleashed a devastating punch, causing the ground to tremble and a cloud of dust to envelop us.

'Aaah! I have to run away! Maybe you can earn points as you run!' I exclaimed, panic creeping into my voice.

'But shoot! I only have one point!' I lamented silently as another announcement boomed overhead.

"Two minutes remaining. I'd hurry if I were you," The announcement declared, adding to the urgency of the situation.

"Two minutes!?" I exclaimed, panic creeping into my voice.

'No, if I don't get any more points, I'll let Skyward down, I'll let myself down... It'll all be a waste!' I thought, desperation gnawing at me.

But luck wasn't on my side as a two-pointer suddenly appeared in front of me, its almost scorpion-like tail locking onto me.

"Aaah!" I exclaimed, trying to flee, only for a one-pointer and several others to swarm around me.

'This isn't fair!' I exclaimed in my head as concern grew, the situation becoming increasingly dire.

The one-pointer used its wheel to charge at me, and once more, I cried out, feeling trapped and overwhelmed.

"Smokescreen Veil!" I heard someone shout as smoke enveloped me and the bots.

"You alright?" The voice sounded familiar, and I struggled to place it amidst the chaos.

"Haruto-san?" I gasped, not expecting assistance, though desperately wanting it.

"Please, it's Hisashi. Now, I couldn't help but see you destroy that one bot a while ago... You really wrecked him," Hisashi said, his tone both impressed and amused.

"...But it gave you a headache, huh? I wanted to help you, but I was in the middle of fighting a three-pointer," Hisashi explained as the smoke started to dissipate.

"Oh man, I really should work on this move of mine," Hisashi muttered, clearly disappointed in himself.

The bots froze in their tracks, their sensors seemingly unable to detect us.

"W-why did they stop?" I asked, a growing concern gripping me at the sudden shift in the situation.

"I don't know, but I suggest getting—" Hisashi-san started, only to be cut off by the thunderous sound of something large charging towards us.

It was the Zero Pointer, its massive fist barreling towards us. Was this safe?

"Ember Stream!" Hisashi-san stated, unleashing a torrent of flames to create a wall of fire.

The flames halted the robot's hand, but I could see Hisashi-san straining to maintain it.

I felt the urge to run, to do something to help him, but then…

he gasped for breath.

As the fist loomed closer, I knew what I had to do.

Time slowed to a crawl as Hisashi-san's expression turned anxious, and I clenched my fist, feeling the surge of power coursing through me

I almost didn't recognize my own actions, reminiscent of the water villain…

…but this time, it was different.

I was acting to protect someone, to save those dear to me!

"Think of saving those you care for. Feel that you're doing this for them, and yell from the depths of your heart!" Skyward's words echoed in my mind.

'SMAAAASH!' I screamed internally as my fist connected with the Zero Pointer's hand, shattering it and unleashing a shockwave that tore through the surrounding bots, racking up a total of 8 points.

That's right. It rises to the surface, the most important qualification of a hero… The spirit of self-sacrifice…

…and I broke my arm

The pain is unbearable, it's like it's doubled in intensity...

"...Prepare yourself for the physical repercussions it'll have on your body," Skyward's words echoed in my mind, but I never imagined it would be this brutal.

"One minute left," I could barely register the announcement amidst the agony coursing through my body.

"Midoriya-san?!" Hisashi-san's voice was filled with concern as he approached me, offering assistance.

'Did... did I manage to do it?' I wondered, glancing over at the defeated villain sprawled on the ground.

'I guess I did... it feels different, actually saving someone...' I thought, clutching my bruised arm with my left hand as Hisashi helped me to stand.

"Geez, I had no idea you were capable of that... your arm's really messed up," Hisashi-san remarked, his worry evident.

"...I... I know... I wanted to help you," I managed to utter, the pain making it difficult to speak.

"Yeah, I can see that now... thanks, by the way. You're my hero," his words caught me off guard, my arm throbbing too much to fully process the significance of being called a hero.

"We still have like 60 seconds left. Are you sure you want to continue? Your body won't be able to handle another attack like that," he expressed concern as I suddenly rose to my feet, surprising the dark-haired examinee.

"H-hey! You can't just get up and continue the exam! I don't think you can fight anymore bots," Hisashi-san stated firmly, trying to stop me.

"I... I have to. I need more points. I can't fail Skyward," I whispered, the weight of my words heavy on my chest.

"More points? Your life is worth more than some stupid exam," Hisashi-san argued, his concern evident in his voice and expression.

"Don't, alright? Don't wreck your body over something so meaningless," he pleaded, his frown deepening.

"But you only have 28 points," I pointed out, my voice trembling with desperation.

"So? If I don't become a hero, then so be it. Besides, I think I'll pass," Hisashi-san reassured me, his determination unwavering.

"Time's up. I hope you made it," the announcement blared out, signaling the end of the exam.

I didn't feel great. I almost lost consciousness at my own failure, but just because I almost didn't doesn't mean I won't lose consciousness.

It was then I spotted her, a woman just about the same height as Skyward—the Youthful Heroine, Recovery Girl.

And then…darkness consumed me

- [The Midoriya Household - A Week Later] -

It had been a week since I sat for the entrance exams, and as I sat down for dinner, my mind was still clouded by what had happened.

"Honey, are you there? Your food's going to get cold," my mother's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"I'm sorry, I'm fine, don't worry," I replied, forcing myself to take a single bite of my food.

The older Greenette ever perceptive, didn't quite buy my reassurance.

Sensing something was amiss, my father chimed in, concern evident in his voice.

"Are you sure? You don't seem like yourself. You're usually more expressive," He stated

"It's fine, really... It's just some school stuff, nothing serious, I promise," I reassured them, trying to sound convincing as I continued eating.

I didn't want to burden them with the truth about Skyward and everything that had transpired.

The sudden decision to pursue a career in heroism had shocked both of my parents, especially my father, who had firsthand experience with the dangers involved.

He had once been caught in the crossfire of a villain's attack, narrowly escaping with his life while a hero was gravely injured.

I explained to him that I was aware of the risks and had carefully considered my choice multiple times.

Despite his concerns, I was resolute in my decision to become a hero.

As a repairman, he couldn't mend the broken fragments of my future aspirations, so he begrudgingly agreed to my decision.

My mother seemed torn, as any caring mother would be, contemplating the notion of her "Angel" plunging headlong into dange.

Despite her concerns, she reluctantly agreed; deep down, she understood she couldn't sway my mind

As for my mangled hand... well, let's just say my father shed tears at the thought it, and I'm ashamed to admit I did too.

Later that evening, I sank into the soft embrace of our living room sofa, lost in my own thoughts, which seemed to endlessly circle back to the impending exam.

"You still having those thoughts?" my mother's soothing voice broke through my reverie, instantly calming my nerves.

I nodded, unable to mask the turmoil brewing within me.

"What's bothering you?" she probed gently, sensing my unease.

"Nothing," I attempted to deflect, but my feeble attempt at evasion was met with a knowing smile.

"Now, now, Inko... you've been stewing over this for too long. You know you're not a great liar... you must have inherited that from your father," she teased.

"Hey!" my father chimed in from the kitchen, his voice filled with mock indignation, while my mother and I shared a knowing chuckle.

"...Well, I only got one point on the exam... And I don't think I passed," I muttered as my father left the house, leaving me to put on a frown.

"Now, Honey, you know if you keep thinking negatively, you'll never have anything positive happen to you," my mother remarked.

"Would a hero really let such a thing get to them?" she asked.

"No," I responded.

"That's right, now don't let it eat at you; you just ate, after all," she joked again.

Suddenly, the door burst open as Father rushed in, an envelope in his hand.

"In-in-inko! It's here! It came!" he exclaimed….

- [Inko's Room] -

As I settled into the chair in my room, my eyes drifted to the solitary Skyward poster adorning the wall, accompanied by a lone Skyward figure perched on my desk.

Despite my family being well off, I never indulged much in merchandise; it wasn't in my nature to take things for granted.

Glancing nervously at the envelope resting on my desk, I couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation.

What could be inside?, With cautious fingers, I carefully tore it open, half-expecting something grander.

But to my surprise, it contained only a small device of some sort. Why did I expect more?

As I examined the device, it suddenly vibrated, startling me into dropping it.

As it clattered to the ground, a hologram materialized before me, depicting Skyward.

"Hello! I'm here as a hologram!" Skyward announced with a cheerful smile.

"Skyward?!, Is this from UA?" I questioned aloud.

Skyward cleared her throat before explaining, "I'm sorry, I actually came to this town to work at UA."

"Huh? Working at UA?!" I exclaimed, taken aback.

Just then, someone off-screen gestured towards Skyward, prompting her to pause.

"Yeah?…Oh, is it going to delay everything?…" she asked, turning her attention away momentarily before returning to me.

"…Alright, even though you passed the written exam, you only scored 9 points on the practical exam. That means you didn't pass," Skyward stated, her smile faltering slightly as my expression turned to a frown.

'I knew this would happen... it's just... it's frustrating' I thought to myself.

"That would be it if that was all there was to it," Skyward stated.

"Ah…" I managed to say.

"In addition to now having a stronger Quirk, your actions spurred others to act," Skyward continued.

"Ahh…" I replied weakly.

"The entrance exam was not graded only on villain points," Skyward explained.

"Huh?" I asked, confused.

"How can a hero course reject people who save others and do the right thing? This school will be shut down if we did!" Skyward exclaimed.

"This is a job that requires risking one's life to protect the innocent!." Skyward emphasized.

"Rescue points! And they're given by a panel of judges. It's the other basic ability we at U.A. look at," Skyward elaborated.

"Inko Midoriya, sixty-nine points! And Hisashi Haruto, forty-five points! You both pass," Skyward announced.

"Th-This is too crazy…" I stammered, tears streaming down my face as my parents barged into my room to hug me.

"Come, Young Midoriya, this is your Hero Academia!" I could almost hear Skyward as I continued crying on my father's shoulders.

I felt overwhelming happiness wash over me….

After receiving so much help, my life has changed and will continue to do so…

And now, my dream of high school life is about to begin!…

And End...I was kinda running out of ideas, but I don't think this is too bad

Hope you enjoy nonetheless!
