Part 10 - Trial last part
So after that, Charlie was let down from the chair for now, and the judge then stood up, and said
"Now I have heard all sides, and I think the jurors here are ready to deliberate the verdicts and so forth, so I will now let you all go, so the jurors can take their time to go through it all that they have before themselves, and when they are ready to let the verdicts come, then I will call you all back to this room. So until then, guards take the two prisoners back to the jail they are sitting at, Isabella and her family can go back to where they chosen to live at while being here in town again. Mr Black and your young son, I will give you a warning now, and that is neither of you are allowed anywhere near Isabella or her family while she stays in town. As Isabella has told about her fear against your young son, and his behaviour around her as young child and even now in this court I have seen those looks he had onto her. And so you will NOT allowed anywhere near her or her family. And that is finale!"
With that he banged the gavle on his table, and the whole room stood up, and Bella with her family walked out first of all, as they were let go first, then those on other side were let go, and when those ones were outside, they saw that Bella and her family was already gone, for Patrick Sr had texted their driver for the day to come forward and drive them off to their rented house in Forks.
So it was abit of downer for Jacob and his father, and the Cullens were in shock of everything that they had to hear today of the trial, that had taken the whole day as it was beginning to be dark outside, and they had been there since around 9 am, and it was nearing dinner time now. Phil took off somewhere as he wanted nothing to do with his wife nor his wife's ex husband, so he left for his hotel room in town. But he didn't know Bella as he never got to meet her before all of this had happened apparently to her, so he had no intentions now to know her either.
Meanwhile Bella and her family came to their rented house, and after getting inside, Matthew stood by the stove, and making dinner for them all, and he greeted with warmth, and told them that dinner would be on the table in an hour, so all they did was to get their showers or just changed out of the nicer clothes, and into more casual wear to in PJs.
Now it was just a waiting game, hopefully it wouldn't take too long for the jurors to find a verdict or free them, but doubtful that they even would free them from the most serious charges, and while that was happening, the higher up's of the police core had gotten to learn about what Charlie had done, and he was fired promptly and all his awards was removed from his name and from the station in Forks aswell. So none would praise him anymore, instead he would be the most hated man in town.
Billy and Jacob came home furious and hurt by what had been said during the trial today, and what the judge himself had said in the end before letting them go. The others were in deep shock and disbelief with anger and sadness for what Bella had been through, and who in the end had let it all happen in first place. So they too believe that Jacob and Billy had a hand in that too.
Bella was also very emotional drained from the day in court, so Michael took the twins for the moment so she could take a bath, and just de-stress and be on her own for the moment, while Michael with his parents and brother took care of Ayla and Phoenix. And when she was ready to get out of the warm, soothing and calming bath, she got dressed in her PJs, and got downstairs as she could hear Matt call for dinner was done now.
All of them sat down, even her twins sat in their own seats by her and Michael's side, and were now fed with some of their food, as she was getting them to be used to normal food, and wein them off her breast milk, she still gave them it for night time feeding aswell once during the night if they wanted the breast from her when waking up in the middle of the night.
After a great dinner, most of the family of Spears that was here in town, got ready for bed, while the others of them including Bella and Michael decided to watch a movie after getting the twins down to sleep for the night, in their own bed, as they begun to share a bed back in Aberdeen together, so it was nothing new to them to do so even here in Forks, even her memories of being here was a struggle, Michael being here made it much better for the time they were here.
After the movie was over, Bella was already sleeping lightly on Michael's naked chest, so he turned the tv off, and pulled the cover up onto them, and wrapped her closer to himself, and soon he too was asleep.
Next morning, Bella woke up first of the two, she distangled from Michael's grip, and kissed him softly on his lips, then she took a peek on her twins, whom were still asleep for the moment in their cribs, so she left with a soft smile on her lips and walked downstairs after doing her business in the bathroom, in her robe, and was met up by Mary who too was awake, and she was on full business to make breakfast, so after a hug and goodmorning, the two went to work on the breakfast.
After breakfast was eaten and dishes done, they got themselves ready for the day today, when their phone rang, and Bella answered as she was first to it, and when she said
"Spears talking, it is Bella." At the voice of her lawyer, Alex said
"Bella, it is Alex." Bella smiled softly, then said
"Hello Alex, whats going on?"
"A verdict is set, so we need to be back into the court within an hour." Bella ohhed then they hung up, and Bella turned to the family of hers, and said
"A verdict is ready to be delievered in an hour, so we need to get going to the court."
Mary decided to stay put with Matthew and the twins, so Bella, Patrick Sr and Michael got themselves ready and they left after some encourgaging words to Bella, and hugs/kisses, and Bella also kissed her twins' heads before they left in Michael's car today.
Soon they pulled at the courthouse, and after a deep breath to calm her nerves, she came out of the car and Michael went to her side, and took her hand in his gently, and together with Patrick Sr, they walked on inside, and saw Alex smile and waved them over to his side of the room of the courthouse. Bella sat by Alex's side, while Michael and Patrick sat behind her for now.
After a few, the same judge and the jurors came into the room, the jurors sat down, while the whole room that was packed to the brim like yesterday stood up as the same person who made the notes of the said case called for them to rise, and so after the judge sat down, he also told them to sit down. So they all did, except for the few in the back of the room, had too stand up still, which was the media today.
The judge then turned to the jurors, and said
"I hear you have the verdict of this case, so what is your verdict?"
At that he was given a note of the verdicts for both Renee and Charlie with an addition to Charlie's, which he nodded and gave the note back and he said
"What is your verdict to Mrs Renee Dwyer?"
"Guilty your honour."
At that Renee screamed while others had a shocked gasp, while Bella smile of relief and happiness that her own so-called mother would get the punishment in this mess.
The judge nodded then turned to now standing, shocked and paled Renee, and said
"Your sentence due to the severity of the crimes you have been found guilty of, I hereby sentence you to life without parole, as you show to have no remorse in what happened to your former daugther, Isabella Spears. You will be sent to a female only prison in the state of Florida, I hope that the time will give you enough time to think on what you and your ex-husband did to your own flesh and blood. May God see it aswell."
And he then banged the gable on his table, and while kicking and screaming herself hoarse she was taken out of the court room, while media was flashing their cameras and many sat in shock on the side of hers and Charlies.
Charlie looked rather scared and pale in his own seat, as he was then called to stand aswell, and the judge said
"You have your verdict to Mr Charles Swan, what is it?"
"Guilty your honour."
With that Charlie too went off his hooks with screaming your whore how dare you and so forth, Bella sat in silence and not looking at anyone but down in her lap, as he screamed, not taking it in for nothing he said was the truth, and she learned through her therapy that she was no whore or anything like that what Charlie kept screaming at her.
The judge banged his gable and told or shouted to Charlie to be quiet, and the judge then said to shock of them all in the room;
"You are to sit for life without any parole, Mr Charles Swan, and also with that you are to give up all the money and your property to Ms Isabella Spears to whatever she chooses to do with it, but you will sent to an all Male prison in Seattle, Washington. Your awards and job as chief of police ends aswell today, and the awards is right now being taken back to the offices of the higher up's in Police force in Seattle. As you are not worthy of those awards anylonger than you have been until now. You are nothing but a dirty cop and ex-father. May God have mercy on your soul while sitting your time off in jail. As neither of you or Renee will be able to be paroled, for you both are to sit your time off for what is left of your lives in jail."
And with that he again banged his gable, and Charlie was mad as hell, screaming while being carried out of the courthouse, Bella now could stand up, and turn to Michael, and she hugged him, before giving him a kiss infront of everyone, including Jacob and his father Billy, whom both had mouths open in shock of the sight. Just like those whom they didn't who they were, had their jaws open at the sight.
Michael kissed her back, then after letting him go, she also hugged Patrick, then also her lawyer, Alex got a hug, whom hugged her happily, as he was happy to won his case for Bella's sake.
Michael then took her hand, and they walked out of the courthouse to their car, and Patrick was walking behind them, he too was in a good mood of the outcome of the trial today.
