Author's Note: This was a random story I had lying around, so I may not update it for I while. However, I hope you like it.
Deep within a forest, a red clad duckling of seventeen-years called Huey walked, looking at the map that held. They were close. Not too much longer now.
"... Are we... there... yet?" He heard his thirteen-year-old brother asked through his panting from behind.
Huey sighed. "Just a little farther."
"Good, because I don't know much longer, I can keep this up."
As much as the duckling in red could use a break himself, despite being the more active of the two, he knew they both have to keep going. If they get there then they could rest and get help.
The duo went for a bit until a familiar wall of a fence came into view.
"Ha, we made it." Huey uttered, feeling relief hitting him.
"Good."
After a bit of letting his little brother rest, they head over to the walls. There, they strolled next to said walls until the found the entrance.
Huey then tried to buzz he and brother in.
"Hello, this is Huebert duck. I 'm with my brother, Louie. Were need our Uncle Scrooge Mcducks help."
Nothing happened. No response, no opening of the gates, nothing. This was odd. It didn't add up. Why is no one doing something?
"Huh?" he heard Louie uttering.
However, the red clad duckling kept his gave, hoping something would happen.
Just then, he heard some metal moving from behind him. Curious, peered over to see Louie stand in front of the gates opening. His eyes widen at the unexpected sight. "Wow, Louie How did you do that?"
"I didn't." his brother replied. "I just touched it."
"Come? We got an uncle to fine."
After a few steps he heard his brother walking from behind. Huey kept going until he gotten to the door.
He pushed the door opened hoping to find he and Louie's relative one the other side greeting them, but once they looked inside, he his widen as a pain stabbed him through the heart. It was said relative lying motionless in a pool of, what look to be blood. Just then heard a whimper. shifting his sight towards his younger brother, he saw Louie staring at their great uncle with big widen eyes and a shaken body. Oh no, it's happening.
Without a second thought, he went towards his brother's side spinning him, so that Louie was facing the way he came in. There, he took the younger duckling outside and had him sit next to the door, while saying "It's alright Louie we'll get out here in no time." Still seeing Louie shaking and looking scared, Huey asked "Are you okay, Louie?"
"N-no. I saw a dead body, a dead body, you know how I get when I see that."
He sighed; of course, how could he forget of his brother's fear?
"Okay you stay here, I 'm going to go back inside and-"
"Wait?! You're not going to leave me here?!"
"It's fine, I just need to make sure Scrooge is really dead. You can watch out for Magica's shadow warriors."
"Well, could you get some of his money too?"
" He sighed before answering with "Sure."
The duckling in red hated to grave rob his uncle especially after just finding his and brother's great uncle was dead as a fallen leaf in autumn, but they need the money. Also, greater chance of Scrooge's money would have been taken anyways from strangers who wouldn't tearing this place apart to get some money if they could.
Leaving his brother outside he walked back and check the body.
Once there and seeing the blood darken and dried somewhat, he placed two fingers on his motionless uncle's throat and felt nothing. That told him that the seven-teen year old his relative is not here anymore. Feeling a wave of sadness striking his heart like again a lighting to the ground and made tears run down. Huey looked all round as best as could with moisten eyes and saw a big hole on the side wall. It told him that Magica's shadow warriors were already here. He soon pushed himself to get back and walked around even though all he wanted to do was stay and cry all day for the fallen duck.
All through his searched, the red clad duckling managed to find a good chunk of money that his uncle hid underneath his mattress and put in his FannyPack. He soon found himself in the living room for one last look before he goes to bury his great uncle when he heard what sounded to be something moving around popped up.
Curious, yet fear started crept inside of him. Huey peered over to see nothing, but a trunk with a weird marking in the middle. He didn't know what the symbol was up nor why was there, however he knew that he defiantly heard movement from there. Satisfying hid growing curious, Huey ventured to the chest. There, he opened it and was meted with a sight of a what looked to be a duckling wearing a blue shirt who younger than ten staring back at him with a frighten expression.
The duckling in red jumped back, letting a short scream saying, 'Oh my god!"
"Uh? Hi" The young duckling uttered with Scottish accent.
"Hi." He replied before walking to the duckling again.
"Are related to my Uncle Scrooge?"
"Of course, I 'am, he's my dad..."
At that moment, Huey gave off a surprised face as the duckling in blue stopped before he quickly asked "Wait, Uncle Scrooge?"
"Yep. I, his grandnephew. Huh? it seems like you're my and Louie's cousin twice removed."
"Yeah? Wait? Louie?"
"Yeah, my younger brother who is outside for reasons relating to his fear."
"What there's nothing to fear around here except... DAD?!"
The little duckling soon peered side to side with a worried face.
Just then, the red clad duckling let his big brother instincts kick in and placed both of his hands on his cousin's shoulders causing the kid to look at him.
"It's fine, I did not just find Uncle Scrooge dead in the entrance!" He said in a nervous manner, trying his best to give a smile.
"What?!"
All of the sudden, the smaller duckling somehow gotten out of Huey's grasp and rushed towards the entrance leaving the older male to chase after the tinier one, yelling "wait?!"
When he entered the room, the red clad duckling saw his cousin laying on his uncle's body unmoving body. The sounds of crying echoed through the halls. As Huey watched, his heart ech, getting what the younger child was going through. He walked to the sadden duckling and placed his hand back on to his relative's shoulder.
When the duckling in blue faced him with teary eyes Huey asked. "Let's go outside?"
As he tried to gently move his smaller family member away from the deceased duck, the duckling in blue pulled himself away from him and back to dead father.
"NO-NO-NO-dad-dad-daddy! Come on, you have to be awake! Dad!" The child uttered sounding hopeful, yet tearful at the same time before sobbing again shaking his father, but he knew that his great uncle would never answer anything ever again.
The guy in red soon grabbed his younger relative. Dragging him away from the recently passed away elder, ignoring the kid's plea for his dad to wake up and struggling to get out of his grasp again, Huey brough the little male back a few feet before felling something landing heard in his one eye. He let go of the child as he cried out, he placed his hands on the eye.
After a tad of the sting subsided, he peered over to see younger relative is back to lying on his father crying.
Getting annoyed by the child's stubbornness, Huey waste no time, he rushed to the back of sobbing family member and wrapped an arm around his torso, picking him up while having his other arm underneath him.
At that moment, the red clad duckling moved him and his blue clothed relative outside ignoring the kid's escape attempts.
When he did, the older ducking heard the familiar sound of Louie's voice sprang up. "What the-where did he come from?!"
"He's-uff" Huey informed through the struggling to keep hold of the child in blue wo was kicking him and squirming. "Uncle Scrooge's-uff son."
"Wait, isn't scrooge like ancient?"
"Yeah, but-uff there is-uff evidence out there-uff that says ducks can reproduce-uff through-uff out their entire-uff life."
"Oh man." He heard his brother in green muttered before said brother questioned "Wait, where uncle Scrooge?"
"Gone-uff our beloved uncle is dead."
At that this point, the duckling in red felt his cousin ceasing the movements and hearing said kid crying a bit.
"Here look after him a bit. Huey said as he handed the sobbing duckling over to his younger brother.
"What, me?" Louie asked as he held the child in his arms.
"I need to give our uncle a proper burial. Don't let him get away and watch out if he starts punching you?"
"Wait? that how you gotten that black eye."
"Yep." Huey answered.
He soon spotted his younger brother looking their cousin with a worried face. but did stay to watch what going on with the younger males. The oldest duckling went back inside the mansion. Huey soon searched around for a shovel.
After he found one, the seventeen-year-old soon went a few feet away from the hole and dug a large hole then went to his fallen uncle and lifted him up before head out. Despite really not wanting to do this, go placed the body in the hole and filled it up with dirt that was taken out.
Huey then went looking for bag, his cousin's clothes and food.
Once he did find those things, he put the clothes, some quackers and bread in the backpack that he found lying around and walked outside with heavy eye lids. When gotten out he saw Louie with their cousin laying on said brother's side.
"I 've found clothes for our cousin and food." He said walking towards his family members.
"Hey, what did you were doing dumping Dewford on me?" Louie whispered.
"Dewford?" Huey questioned.
"Yeah, he told me that his name is Dewford Dingus Mcduck."
"The duckling in theorized that that naming talent might have been hereditary.
"So where are we going now?"
"Don't know." He replied as he rubbed his good eye. "Too tired to think. Curse, this emotional and physical situation.
"Why don't we stay for a bit you can sleep next to me, and I can watch for any shadow warriors coming?"
"Thanks." Huey said before he walked up to the ducklings and lied down next to his younger brother and drift off to sleep.
